Act 6: The Team Unites Part 2
"There is more to becoming a Samurai Ranger than simply swinging a sword." Ji said as he paced back and forth, the four new Rangers were using Their Samuraizers to write on canvases. "You must master the art of Symbol power."
Tenya wrote out the kanji for splash (沫), upon completing the character, a small burst of water hit him directly in the face.
Kyouka wrote out the kanji for rock (石), upon completion, the ink transformed into a small boulder that proceeded to fall on Tenya's foot while he was distracted wiping the water off his glasses. "Ouch!"
"Oh crap, I'm so sorry dude!" Kyouka quickly apologised. "you alright?"
"Yep… I'm fine." Tenya said as he began hopping, trying not to put pressure on his definitely bruised foot.
Ochoko meanwhile, wrote out the kanji for wind (風), upon its completion, a gust of wind blew her hair back. "They all seem pretty skilled." Izuku commented.
"I'm not so sure about that" Ji said, his attention turned to the last new member.
"Come on." Denki grumbled, he had written out the kanji for grass (草) but nothing happened, he tried again only for it to end in the same result. "what?" he went to try again when he felt something hit the back of his head. "Ow!"
"First off, your stroke order is wrong." Ji advised, resting a training sword on his shoulder. "And secondly, you need to put more emphasis into your strokes, you may need more training than I anticipated."
"Oh… Hey wait a minute! Why did you hit me!?" Denki shouted, realising that Ji hit him.
"Testing your reflexes." Ji said as began walking away.
"I'll show you reflexes." Denki said under his breath, sending out the Bear Folding Zord to bite Ji's ankle.
Luckily the Lion Folding Zord intervened. "Hey Mentor." Izuku walked over to Ji, making sure to try and obscure the lion and bear Zords which were growling at each other. "Maybe we should switch to something he might be better at, maybe weapons training?"
"... alright then." Ji said, nodding to the Kuroko who then ran to collect something. Ji then walked into the Shiba house, Izuku followed close behind, catching the Lion Folding Zord in his palm as it jumped up to him.
Denki picked up the Bear Folding Zord before turning to see the others glaring at him. "What?"
"We saw that!" Tenya yelled. "That was an incredibly irresponsible use of your Zord!"
As Ji searched the archives for a specific book, Izuku approached him. "Hey Mentor, don't you think you're being a bit too harsh on him?"
"Through his first week of training, Young Kaminari's skills in swordsmanship alone have not improved as much compared to the others, the Nighlok aren't gonna wait for all of us to be ready." Ji then found the book he was searching for and turned back to Izuku.
"I know but couldn't you be a bit kinder to hi-" Ji cut Izuku off.
"Young Midoriya you don't need to apologise for someone who sends their Zord to attack after getting a bit of criticism." he then walked back out to the training grounds.
"Each Samurai Ranger has a unique weapon to utilise during combat with the Nighlok as Young Midoriya displayed in your battle in Downtown Musutafu." Ji explained, the Kuroko then returned with the training weapons. "Today, you'll begin training to use them."
…
THE NETHERWORLD
The two Nighlok sat in the empty main room of the ship, the violent waters of the Sanzu River slamming into the ship's hull. "So, with the Master out of the picture, what do we do now?" Dayu asked, strumming her Harmonium.
"We continue with his plan, we send Nighlok to attack the humans in order to flood the Sanzu River into the human world." Octoroo replied.
"Well, with the Samurai Rangers still around, it's still gonna take a long time to flood their world." Dayu commented.
"On the contrary, it might be a bit easier." Octoroo chuckled. "In the past whenever humans experienced pain, torment, fear or sadness, the waters of the Sanzu River rose." Octoroo explained. "I cannot say for certain but a while back it began rising at a faster rate, then around five or so years ago, the river began rising ever faster. At the rate it's rising now, I estimate that if we send Nighlok to attack them, it will only take around a year or so to flood their world."
"Hm, that probably means the human world has gotten a lot more interesting science the last time I've been there." Dayu glumly said.
"Indeed, which is why I summoned Scorponic, he rather enjoyed tormenting them back in the day, so I can't wait to see what he'll do now."
The two then heard something, they both looked to see a clawed hand grab onto the ship, a feline head with exoskeleton-like plating then emerged from the side of the ship. "You called, boss?"
…
An arrow flew through the air followed by several more, each hit their target, some nearly hitting theirs in the centre. "Excellent shot Young Iida" Ji congratulated. "You're a very fast learner."
"Thank you, Mentor." Tenya bowed, a bow held in his hand.
Meanwhile, Ochako practised with some of the Kuroko, she waved around a fan, the kuroko jumping back when she waved it at them. 'Am I really supposed to fight with this thing? It feels more like kabuki dancing than anything.' she thought.
Kyouka stared down some other Kuroko, a three pronged boomerang clutched in her hand, she began using it to strike at the Kuroko and block their attacks. Kyouka then threw the boomerang through the air, the Kuroko then dodged out of the boomerang's path as it started flying back. "Okay, I think I got this covered." Kyouka said as she caught the boomerang.
Denki stared down Izuku, the blonde held a bo staff while the greenete was armed with a training sword. Denki taunted Izuku before running at him, thrusting his staff at him. Izuku dodged out of the way before slashing at his opponent, Denki struggled to block Izuku's attacks before suddenly having his legs swept out from under him, hitting the ground with a thud. "Ah! Are you okay? I didn't expect you to hit the ground that hard." Izuku asked, reaching out a hand.
"Nah, I'm fine." Denki said, taking Izuku's hand and getting back to his feet. Out of the corner of his eye, Denki saw Ji glaring at him before heading inside the building with Tenya not far behind. "What's the old guy's deal? He's giving me the stink eye and it's really killing my motivation." Denki groaned.
"Well you did send your Zord to bite him." Izuku replied.
"Cause he hit me over the head!" Denki argued back, rubbing the back of his head.
"Don't worry, he gets nicer the more you get to know him." Izuku tried to reassure him.
Denki sighed. "Whatever, man I really hope the teachers at UA aren't like him." Denki said under his breath, catching Izuku's attention.
"W-wait, you're going to UA too?" Izuku asked.
"Yeah, Hero course." Denki confirmed.
"Same here." Kyouka said, Ochako following behind her.
"Me too, I barely made the Practical exam though." Ochako added, remembering almost getting crushed by the zero pointer. "Actually now that I think about it, I think I saw Iida there too, I wonder if he got in?"
"What about you dude?" Kyouka asked.
"O-oh uh, General studies." Izuku sheepishly replied.
There was a moment of silence before Denki spoke up. "Oh, well that's still kinda cool, I mean it's not the hero course but it's still cool."
"Yeah, you got into one of the top schools in the country! That's still something to be proud about!" Ochako encouraged.
Meanwhile inside the Shiba house, Ji headed to the archives to prepare for the rest of the day's training, while Tenya sat in the main room to get a quick drink of water. As he put his water bottle back, he noticed a book Ji had left out, the pages open displayed the five animals their Zords represented, as well as a large samurai warrior standing behind them. Tenya began reading the Text and discovered what the warrior was called. "Megazord?"
"The Samurai Megazord, a combination of all of your Zords." Ji clarified as he walked in. "Just like the Samurai Rangers, Each Zord is powerful on their own, but together you are unstoppable." After grabbing what he needed, the two walked back outside to see the four other rangers talking to each other.
"Hey Iida!" Denki shouted as he saw him exit the building. "After training we're gonna go get some Oden, you wanna join us or-?"
The Alarm began blaring from inside, Ji immediately ran back inside and straight to the main room, pulling up the map just as the rangers arrived. "City Hall." Ji then pulled out his Samuriazer and wrote the kanji for gate (門), creating a portal for the Rangers.
Izuku then pulled out his Samuraizer and turned to the others. "Let's go!"

CITY HALL
Scorponic and his entourage of Moogers marched through Musutafu, attacking any and all humans that crossed their path. "No no no! Don't Kill em all at once!" Scorponic shouted at one of the Moogers. "pace yourselves, it will cause the Sanzu River to rise more, and it's more fun that way!"
A small red blurr flew at Scorponic, the Nighlok managed to block it with his sword. "That's far enough Nighlok." Scorponic looked to see the Samurai Rangers, accompanied by the Kuroko.
The five unsheathed their swords and got into battle poses. "Rangers together, Samurai forever!"
The Nighlok glared at the multicoloured annoyances before thrusting his sword in their direction. "Get them!" Scorponic growled before walking away, the Moogers changing in at the Rangers.
The Rangers ran at the Moogers, now a bit more prepared. Izuku slashed at two Moogers before blocking an attack from another, then he swept its legs and slashed at it while it was down. He then ran to Scorponic, equipping his Fire Smasher to clear a path.
Tenya meanwhile made his way onto a balcony, slashing at several Moogers as he made his way forward. He then spun the black Spin disc on his sword, transforming it into a blue bow with the kanji for water (水) on the front. "Hydro Bow!" He attached the Dragon Water Spin disc before jumping from the balcony and firing several water arrows at a crowd of Moogers down below, he then turned back to fire at the remaining Moogers on the balcony.
Kyouka spun her black Spin disc, transforming her sword into a large shuriken with the kanji for soil (土) on it. "Earth Slicer!" She then attached the Ape Earth Disc onto it before blocking a Mooger's attack, she then began slashing at it and a couple others before throwing it into the air. It then began circling around her, cutting down several Moogers before being caught by Kyouka.
Denki Spun his Disc, transforming his sword into a long staff with the kanji for tree (木) on the end of it. "Forest Spear!" He then pulled out the Bear Forest Disc and attached it, a blade popping out of the top of the kanji. "Hey! you guys mind if i take you for a Spin!?" he shouted before spinning the spear around, knocking down the several Moogers that surrounded him.
…
"Hey humans!" Scorponic shouted as he marched down an abandoned street. "Come out, come out wherever you are!" he then saw something out of the corner of his eye, he turned to see something bright falling from the sky. "What the?"
It then crashed down in front of him, creating a massive crater. "I hoped another one of you would show up…" a voice came from the crater, out of the smoke walked a man completely engulfed in flames. "Since that other monster showed up downtown, I was hoping I got a chance to incinerate one of you creeps!" He then rushed at Scorponic, launching several fiery punches at the monster. Scorponic did his best to dodge the attacks but was still hit by some of them, he then jumped back as the man began forming a long spire of fire in his hand. "Ignited Arrow!" He shouted, launching the arrow straight into the monster's shoulder.
"Arrgh, you're pretty tough." Scorponic growled, clutching his shoulder. He then began swaying back and forth, a tendril of purple energy slowly forming around him. "Whirlwind Scorpion Slash!" Scorponic then launched the tendril at the man, knocking him through the air into several buildings. 'Impressive, if he kept going, he might've dried me out.' thought as he took note of his injuries, he then turned to see Izuku charging at him, he barely managed to block the incoming attack.
Nearby, Ochako was dealing with a group of Moogers, blocking an attack before striking back. She then spun the black Spin disc, transforming her sword into a fan with the kanji for heaven (天) on it. "Heaven Fan!" She attached the Turtle Sky Spin disc before slashing at the Moogers, she then began waving the fan around, creating powerful gusts of wind that knocked the surrounding Moogers down. 'Wow, I was wrong about this thing.' She then launched an attack at the remaining Moogers, Launching a massive gust of wind down the street that knocked Izuku off balance.
"Thanks for the distraction!" Scorponic shouted before slamming his sword into Izuku, slamming him into a nearby building, after a moment he fell to the ground with a thud.
"Ah! Midoriya!" Ochoka ran to her injured teammate, the other rangers not far behind.
"Let's finish this!" Scorponic shouted, swaying back and forth, the purple energy tendril reforming. "Whirlwind Scorpion Slash!" He launched his attack at the rangers, a massive fireball erupting when it hit, resulting in the rangers lying in a massive crater, smoke emanating from their suits. "Can't any of you stand!? Hah, bunch of weaklings." Scorponic growled before walking off.
"A-are you guys alright?" Izuku spoke up, lifting himself up.
Kyouka got to her knees before turning to Ochako who had taken the brunt of the attack. "Uraraka!" she shouted, crawling to her teammates side.
"We need to retreat and form a new plan of attack." Tenya said as he got to his feet, the others nodded in agreement except Izuku, who got up and began walking to his sword.
"Hey where are you going?" Denki asked.
"Are you gonna try and fight him again?" Kyouka asked, holding an injured Ochako over her shoulder.
As Izuku went to grab his sword, Tenya walked up behind him. "Aren't you injured?" he asked, grabbing Izuku's shoulder.
Izuku immediately flinched in pain. "Ack… Yeah." he said, retrieving his sword before running at Scorponic.
The others looked on, wide eyed. "He's still attacking? Does he really think he can handle this guy all on his-" Denki was cut off by Ochako.
"No, look!" Ochako noticed what Izuku saw.
Izuku swung his sword at Scorponic, the Nighlok managed to block the attack but then Izuku spun around and slashed It's back, he then reached into the surrounding rubble to retrieve… "A kid?" Kyouka and the others finally saw what Izuku saw, it was a young girl around five or six with frog-like features.
Ochako managed to get to her feet on her own. "He saw her and didn't hesitate."
Scorponic threw several more attacks at them, but Izuku managed to either dodge or block them, he then slashed at Scorponic before then thrusting his sword at him, knocking the Nighlok back. "Satsuki!" Izuku turned to see an older girl at the end of the street, she was around his age and also had frog-like features.
"Big Sis Tsu!" The girl shouted, Izuku then immediately rushed over to reunite the sisters before turning around to continue battling Scorponic.
"He's able to stay focused, even when he's hurt." Tenya said, stepping forward as he watched the battle rage on.
Denki limped forward. "What's UA's modo, Plus Ultra? Well, seems like he's the definition of it."
Kyouka then spoke up. "Well then, what the hell are we waiting for?" she turned to nod at her teammates who in turn nodded back, they then retrieved their swords before returning to the battle.
Scorponic recovered from an attack from Izuku, he then began swaying back and forth. "Whirlwind Scorpion-" Just as the Tendril was about to hit Izuku, the other Rangers jumped in, cutting through the tendril and knocking the Nighlok back. "arrgh!"
"What's the plan?" Kyouka asked as she and the others ran to Izuku's side.
"We launch a combined attack." Izuku said, attaching the Lion Fire Spin disc to his Spin sword.
"Right!" Tenya nodded, he and Kyouka attached their respective Spin discs to their swords.
"Got it!" Ochako followed suit, she and Denki attached their Spin discs to their swords.
They then spun their discs, each of their swords were then engulfed by their respective elements. "Quintuple Slash!" they then charged at Scorponic, first Izuku struck him, then Tenya, then Ochako, then Denki and finally Kyouka. The five then struck victory poses as Scorponic collapsed behind them, before erupting in a fiery explosion.
"Stay focused guys, the battle's not over." Izuku reminded the others.
The rangers turned back to see the tower inferno that then faded to reveal Scorponic's giant form. "I'm not finished yet Rangers!" The Rangers quickly reacted, using their Symbol power to enlarge their Zords.
As they changed at Scorponic, he sent a cloud of smoke and rubble at them, engulfing their Zords. "How're we supposed to fight in all this?" Denki asked.
"Our Zords alone aren't enough." Izuku said. "We need to get a better view, we need…"
"The Samurai Megazord!" Tenya spoke up.
"The what?" the other three Rangers asked in unison.
"It's a combination of our Zords, with it we'll be able to beat him!" Tenya explained.
"Well what are we waiting for?" Denki asked. "Let's do it!"
"Let's kick this guy's ass!" Kyouka shouted, slamming her fists together.
"Yeah!" Ochako agreed.
"Follow my lead, Zords combine!" Tenya shouted, thrusting his control stick forward. Four of the Zords charged forward, returning to their emblem modes before beginning the combination. The Bear Zord formed the combination's base, then the Dragon Zord took its place on top, followed by the Turtle Zord, finally the Ape Zord took its place at the very top. "Samurai Megazord we are-"
"Uh Iida, what the hell is this?" Kyouka asked.
"Huh?" Tenya then realised that instead of forming the Samurai warrior seen in Ji's book, it instead was a giant tower that kind of resembled…
"Oh, we're a giant Oden." Ochako realised. 'Iida probably had it on his mind from earlier.'
"What the!?" Scorponic questioned the strange tower.
"Uh Iida, what's going on?!" Izuku asked, the Lion Zord roared at the "Oden tower".
"Hey! Why am I on the bottom!?" Denki shouted, the Bear Zord began shaking, throwing the tower off balance.
"Heh, just a bluff!" Scorponic shouted, knocking the Bear Zord out from under the other Zords, causing them all to collapse to the ground.
"Let's try this again." Izuku said, pulling out his Samuraizer and writing the kanji for combine (合). "Zords combine!"
The Lion Zord's legs folded up before the lion's front half folded forwards, two panels folded up to form a head.
The Turtle Zord's head and fins folded away before the zord unfolded to form the right arm, while the Ape Zord's arms folded up to form the left.
A small piece of the Dragon Zord detached while the rest of it folded up to form the left leg, while the Bear Zords legs folded up to form the right leg, the animals' heads forming the feet.
The Zords then all joined together, finally, a crest folded out of the remaining piece of the Dragon Zord, creating the helmet. The Megazord dawned it as a katana materialised at its side, the rangers then appeared in the Megazord's cockpit which had scrolls displaying the Shiba family crest. "Samurai Megazord, we are United!"
"Yeah! Now that's what I'm talkin about!" Denki cheered.
"Yeah!" Ochako added, high fiving her green teammate.
"My apologies!" Tenya apologised.
"Don't sweat it dude." Kyouka reassured him.
"Get ready! Here he comes!" Izuku alerted the others, the Megazord drawing It's swords as Scorponic charged at them. The Megazord blocked the Nighlok's first attack before dodging its second attack, it then ducked under the Nighlok's third attack that ripped through the building behind them.
The Megazord then spun around and slashed at Scorponic, knocking him down and accidentally splitting the building behind him in two. "And down he goes!" Kyouka cheered.
"I hope those buildings were insured." Tenya rubbed the back of his neck at the massive collateral damage caused.
Scorponic slowly got back to his feet. "Giant Moogers, come forth!" Scorponic roared, Giant Moogers slowly began making their way through the gaps between buildings.
"You gotta be kidding me, these guys come giant sized too!?" Denki yelled as they were suddenly surrounded, the Moogers then swarmed the Megazord, the Rangers tried their best to fight them off but they were ultimately overwhelmed.
Some of the Moogers began throwing chains at them, immobilising the Megazord, they then began striking the Megazord with spears. "Gah! What do we do now!?" Ochako began panicking.
"Roaring Inferno!" Izuku shouted as he moved his control stick forward, a massive burst of flames erupted from the Lion's mouth, catching several of the Moogers on fire, the Megazord then hoisted the Moogers restraining it into the air by their chains, knocking them into each other.
"Destroy them!" Scorponic shouted, sending more Moogers to attack, the Megazord merely walked through them, cutting them down as it made its way to Scorponic.
The Megazord then pointed It's sword at Scorponic. "Let's finish this!" Izuku said as he pulled his blade from the podium, the other rangers followed suit.
"Katana power!" They shouted, spinning their spin discs for the attack. The Megazord's sword began glowing as Symbol power began building up in it, the Megazord then got into an attack stance. "Samurai Strike!"

The Megazord swung It's sword, cutting right through Scorponic, the Nighlok staggered for a moment before collapsing, then erupting into a final fiery explosion as the Megazord struck a victory pose.
Civilians and Pro Heroes emerged from the emergency shelters to see the grand Samurai Megazord standing there victorious, meanwhile on the top of a nearby building, Endeavour stood wide-eyed and speechless at the sight.
The Megazord then went to resheath It's sword. "Samurai Rangers, victory is ours." Izuku said, the Megazord striking a final pose before being engulfed by a massive cloud of smoke, then disappearing.

The H.P.S.C President sat in her office, stressed out of her mind. 'Things are getting out of hand, First there were five of them, now this?' she thought to herself.
The door to her office then opened, revealing the number three hero. "Hey Boss, the Principal of UA high is here for his meeting." Hawks informed her.
The H.P.S.C President nodded and after a moment, the small, furry Principal walked through the door and sat across from her. "Good evening madam President."
"Good evening Nezu, it's always a pleasure." the HPSC greeted Nezu with a handshake. "So, I assume you want to waste no time in this meeting, so should we first address the elephant in the room?"
"I'd rather address the monsters destroying our city." Nezu bluntly responded.
The H.P.S.C President sighed, rubbing her temples. "I'm still struggling to wrap my head around this, first there were more Samurai Rangers, then these different monsters that could turn into giants started showing up and now there are giant combining robots!"
"Those mecha that are much more advanced than anything UA has so whoever these guys are, they aren't run of the mill vigilantes." Nezu commented.
"Not to mention the social media response-" The H.P.S.C President was about to begin another tangent before Nezu stopped her.
"Actually, I mainly wanted to discuss those monsters that began appearing. I believe something is coming." Nezu said before pulling out a chess board. "Reports from the two monster attacks claimed that the massive amounts of Moogers followed the monsters orders, so it appears that the Moogers are just the foot soldiers." Nezu said, placing down the Pawns on one side of the board.
"Secondly, It's my guess that the Mooger attacks prior to this were orchestrated by someone or something wherever they come from and that these new monster attacks are their doing, so there will likely be more of them to come as well." Nezu then placed down the Rooks, Knights and Bishops behind the Pawns.
"Then there's whoever is leading them, it's likely they are the strongest of them all" Nezu said before placing the King and Queen down, completing the new threat's side.
"So where does that leave us?" the H.P.S.C President asked.
Nezu nodded before placing the Pawns on the opposite side. "First there are the majority of pro heroes out there, with the information we have now they might stand a better chance against them."
He then placed the Rooks. "Then we have the top ten, the ones that might have a chance against the new monsters, though not much of a chance."
Nezu then placed down the King. "Finally, there's All Might, our strongest piece, though I'm not even sure if he stands a chance against whoever is leading them."
The H.P.S.C President's eyes widened. "So you're saying that we're sitting ducks then?"
After a moment, Nezu continued. "Not so fast, i haven't laid down all our pieces yet." he said, placing down the Rooks and Knights, each of them having the kanji of one of the new Samurai Rangers on them, he then placed the Queen which had the kanji fire (火) on it.
The H.P.S.C President blinked at this before looking up at Nezu.
"Like it or not, the Samurai Rangers are our unofficial allies, we're out of our league here so our best option is to focus on evacuation efforts while the Samurai Rangers deal with the monsters." Nezu explained his stance.
After a long stretch of silence, the H.P.S.C President responded. "Maybe… maybe you're-"
She was then startled by a sudden beeping. "Sorry about that, it seems I'm needed back at UA." Nezu said, turning the alert on his phone off. "In a few weeks I'm gonna have a new year's worth of students roaming the halls and there is still so much paperwork to be done, so I guess for now its meeting adjourned, have a lovely rest of your day madam President." he said before exiting the room, leaving the fully stocked chess board behind.
The HPSC President stared at the board for a bit before reaching for one of the pieces, she picked up the queen with the kanji for fire on it and began staring at it in thought. '… maybe you're right Nezu… '

At long last, the Samurai Megazord has made its long awaited debut, it also seems that there's finally someone who's pushing for the Samurai Rangers to be left alone to fight their battles… See you next time when our Green Ranger Denki Kaminari is "Put To The Test".
