Act 8 is Here! (took a bit longer than i hoped it would but that's beside the fact) I Hope you guys enjoy it.
Act 8: Never Trust The Nighlok
The Rangers trained in the courtyard, the other rangers practised their combat skills in the training grounds while Denki practised his symbol power at a nearby bench. The blonde wrote out the Kanji for leaves (葉), upon its completion, a large amount of the foliage flew right into his face. "...I did it." Denki quietly said to himself before celebrating. "Haha! I finally did it!" Denki cheered.
As Denki began celebrating, Tenya and Kyouka took a break from sparring and walked over. "Good job dude." Kyouka congratulated, giving him a fist bump.
"Looks like you're finally catching up to us." Tenya laughed before taking a serious tone. "Kaminari, I'm sorry for being so harsh towards you before, I understand that it isn't easy for you to get accustomed to the Samurai lifestyle, so let me know if you need any help with training."
"Oh, thanks man but I'm fine." Denki replied.
Tenya blinked before turning to Kyouka. "Same goes with you Jirou, if you need any help then let me know."
"Uh… thanks?" Kyouka said before Tenya walked off, she then walked over to Izuku who was practising his kicks on one of the training dummies. "is it just me? Or does Iida seem… off."
"I'm as lost as you are." Izuku said, watching as Tenya approached Ochako while she was practising a breathing exercise.
"Uraraka, have you any troubles with your training?" Tenya asked.
"Huh? Oh no, I'm fine, thanks." Ochako said, trying to get back to her exercise.
"Then is there anything else troubling you?" Tenya asked. "Our first day at UA is only a couple days away."
"Uh, I'm good, thanks." Ochako replied, a bit creeped out now.
Ji walked to join the other three Rangers as they watched the two. "Young Iida has been like this since yesterday, this truly is strange." Ji commented.
"I'm a fan of it." Denki added, receiving unamused glances from the three.

THE NETHERWORLD
Dayu stared out at the endless Sanzu river as the violent waves crashed against each other, then she spotted something in the water, she leaned forward to see what it was. "Oh god, It's that freak." Dayu said as she realised who it was.
A Nighlok swam through the blood red waves of the Sanzu river. "Ah, I can smell the human's despair and fear, it is so intoxicating!" The Nighlok shouted in joy as he swam to the ship.
"Ugh, that freak is disgusting as ever." Dayu said as the Nighlok grabbed onto the side of the ship.
"Oh come on Dayu, I just got here and you're already insulting me." the Nighlok said as he hoisted himself onto the ship: the right half of his body resembled that of a tiger, with a tiger's head resting on his shoulder, while his left half camouflaged seamlessly with the red river.
Dayu turned to look at her tentacle faced colleague. "Octoroo, why did you summon him out of all Nighloks?"
"Because Dayu, Doubletone's method of creating human Misery is very effective." Octoroo explained as he made some tea. "Human tears containing absolute sorrow create as much Sanzu river water as the fear and terror of hundreds of humans."
"The way I see it, the quality of the human's suffering is more important than the quantity." Doubletone spoke up.
"So what? Are you gonna go running around, making random humans cry one by one?" Dayu sarcastically asked.
"Oh please Dayu, work smarter not harder" Doubletone replied, leaning against the rotting wood of the ship's hull. "I'll search for those who are already feeling miserable, and then strike while the iron's still hot." he explained before exiting the ship and jumping into the raging waters below.
Dayu watched as Doubletone began to swim towards the shore. "Creep."
Once Doubletone got to the shore, he peered into the human world through cracks in between the rocks. He looked around to see that he was in a park. 'come on! Give me something good!' He said to himself as he began looking around for a good target, then he smelt it, the scent of sadness quickly approaching. 'Bingo!'

A young kid wearing a red cap with golden horns walked along the park's trail. He didn't live near this area but his legal guardians had to attend several conferences so they brought him along. Today his Aunt had the day off so she brought him out here but unfortunately she had to attend a call so they let him wander by himself for a while, he didn't mind it though, he liked being alone.
"Hey kid." The kid looked around after hearing a voice but saw no one nearby. "Over here!" He looked around again but still, nothing. "Behind you!" the kid spun around to see a tree, he began walking closer when a crack in the bark began glowing red. "Bout time you looked this way!" a monster said as he jumped through.
"Ah!" The kid jumped back at the sight of the creature. "A monster!"
"Ah! A human!" the creature mockingly screamed back. "It's quite rude to call someone a monster kid, try calling me Doubletone instead."
"What do you want from me?" The kid asked as he began crawling back in fear.
"Nothing at all." Doubletone said, kneeling down to the kids level. "I'm only here to make a few deals."
"deals?" the kid asked.
"What's your name kid?" Doubletone asked as he approached the boy.
"Kota Izumi."
…
Ji stared down at the map of Japan, his brow furrowed when he compared it with a previous one. "This Isn't good."
"Mentor!" Tenya said as he walked into the main room. "do you need any help with… whatever you are currently doing?"
"No thanks Young Iida." Ji replied.
"Then if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing?" Tenya asked, joining Ji to look at the map.
"This here is a map of Japan from two weeks ago." Ji said, showing one of the maps and zooming in on Musutafu, there was a red aura around the city that appeared to be cracking at the edges. "And this is a map of Japan currently." Ji then showed him the other map, where the aura was a bit bigger.
"Centuries ago, the seventeenth head of the Shiba clan managed to seal the Nighlok away, keeping them trapped in the Netherworld. But then four months ago the seal cracked, allowing the Moogers to come and attack, then three weeks ago the seal broke, letting the wrathful Nighlok through." Ji then brought attention to the aura surrounding Musutafu. "With every attack, the hole in the seal gets bigger and bigger, it's only a matter of time before the Nighlok can appear anywhere across japan."
As tenya began taking in the information, the alarm began blaring throughout the complex.
…
"You can really do that?" Kota asked.
"Yep!" Doubletone confirmed. "All I need is a little bit of blood, then I can perform the ritual." Before either of them could say or do anything, the sound of approaching footsteps caught the Nighlok's attention, he turned just in time to avoid an attack from the Red Samurai Ranger.
Izuku got between the two before sending several slashes at the Nighlok, Doubletone managed to dodge the attacks before using the tiger head on his shoulder to bite down on the Ranger's arm and toss him back, only for the Blue and Green rangers to jump in and attack.
"Are you okay?" Ochako asked Kota, she and Kyouka ran to protect him while the others combated the Nighlok.
Doubletone pulled a bamboo spear from his back to block the rangers' attack and then pushed them back. "Nighlok! What are you doing with that kid!?" Tenya shouted at the Nighlok.
"Nothing! He and I are friends!" Doubletone answered before turning back to kota. "Isn't that right Kota?"
"Yeah, I'm not buying it." Denki said before running at the nighlok.
"Run!" Kyouka ordered the boy, she and Ochako ran to join the battle while Kota ran off to hide.
Doubletone easily dealt with the ranger's as they charged at him one by one: side stepping Denki and Tenya before blocking Izuku's strike, he kicked him away before spinning around and blocking Ochako and Kyouka's attacks. Tenya ran in to attack again only to get clotheslined by the Nighlok, Doubletone raised his Spear to finish off the Blue Ranger only for the attack to be intercepted by Denki's Forest Spear, the two began trading blows but the Nighlok managed to trip the Green ranger to the ground.
Izuku ran back in, slashing at the Nighlok, Doubletone dodged the attacks and jumped up onto a nearby tree. "You guys really need to stay out of others' business!" Doubletone shouted down to the Rangers below before firing a blast of energy from his spear, knocking the rangers back. "As for me, my fun has just begun!" He said before escaping through a crack in the tree.
"I have a feeling that creep's definition of fun is pretty messed up." Denki said as he slowly got up.
"I got that vibe too." Kyouka said as she got to her feet.
As the Rangers began recuperating from the attack, Ochako brought up a worry she had. "That kid he was talking to, he might be in danger."
"You're right." Izuku said before turning to the other Rangers. "Let's split up and search for him." The group then split up with Izuku going on his own, Denki and Kyouka going one way and Tenya and Ochako going another.
It didn't take long for Tenya and Ochako to find the boy, he was hiding in a nearby bush. "Are you alright?" A demorphed Ochako asked, the boy jumped upon being found. "It's okay, that monster ran away."
"Where did those heroes go?" The boy asked.
"They ran off after that monster." Tenya answered, the boy still seemed frightened so he crouched down to his level. "Hey it's okay, you don't have to be scared, when i'm a hero i'll make sure to protect you."
The mention of being a hero caught the boy's attention. "You want to be a hero?"
Tenya smiled. "Yes! In fact-!" He was cut off when the boy's fist suddenly slammed right into his groyne.
"Iida!" Ochako gasped at the sudden hostility.
"Y-you fiend of a child." Tenya weazed as collapsed to the ground.
The boy's expression went from fear to absolute anger in an instant. "I can't stand jerks who want to be heroes." he coldly said before running off.
Ochako quickly checked on Tenya before chasing after the boy, after a bit of running she found him, she then hid behind a tree and watched as the boy approached a woman sitting at a bench. 'Huh? Is that... Mandalay?' Ochako thought after seeing the woman. After a minute the two got up to leave, Ochako then left to meet up with the other Rangers.

THE SHIBA HOUSE
"Hahaha!" Denki fell back onto the floor, laughing after hearing what happened to Tenya.
"It's not funny." Tenya coldly responded, still a bit sore.
"Yes it is! Haha-!" Denki continued laughing until Kyouka jabbed him with her headphone jacks. "Ow!"
"Such an odd reaction." Izuku spoke up. "most kids would be thrilled about meeting a soon to be hero, but he reacted so violently, why would he do that? …" He then began rambling, much to the other Rangers' slight annoyance.
His muttering was cut short by a tap from Ji. "Young Midoriya, you were muttering."
"Ah! Sorry!" Izuku apologised, getting a chuckle from the other Rangers.
All except Ochako, who was looking at something on her Samuraizer. "Uraraka, what's up?" Kyouka asked.
"I think I might know why he reacted that way." Ochako answered, catching the others' attention. "When he ran off earlier, I spotted him talking to Mandalay, so I did some digging and I found something." She then showed them an article on her Samuraizer. "Mandalay's cousins were the Pro hero duo "Water Hose"." The other teens froze when they heard this, the Pro Hero duo had been killed in the line of duty, during a battle with a Villian two years ago. Ochako then pulled up another article, this one having a picture of the boy from earlier. "They were Kota's parents." while the other Rangers took in the information, Tenya got up and went out to the courtyard, Ochako then followed him outside. "Iida? Are you alright?"
"At first I thought he was a fiend, but now I understand him." Tenya said before turning back to Ochako. "Uraraka i need to tell you something, my older brother is-"
"Ingenium." Ochako cut him off. "Kaminari looked up your family after our first battle together and told us."
Tenya blinked for a moment before continuing. "W-well, ever since I was a kid I idolised him, but even so I still worry about him, now more than ever." he walked over and picked up one of the training swords. "Two days ago, my brother told me that soon he'd be joining the "Hero Killer" case."
"Is that why you've been acting weird lately?" Ochako asked, the following silence answered her question. "Hey It's okay, he's got team Idaten to support him, he'll be fine." she said, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Tenya smiled in response. "You're right, thanks Uraraka." he then noticed that the jacket he was wearing was now weightless. "uh, Uraraka."
"Oh! Sorry." Uraraka apologised, undoing her quirk.

THE NEXT MORNING
'Alright that should be everything.' Mandalay sighed as she finished packing her suitcase, she and her agency "The Wild Wild Pussycats" had been called into Musutafu for the past week to help with evacuation preparations regarding the recurring monster attacks, they had one last meeting this afternoon before they headed back. "Kota! Did you pack everything?" She shouted out for her nephew, but there was no response. "Kota?" Mandalay began walking towards the boys room.
Inside the empty room, a clawed hand emerged from the gap between the bed and the floor, it placed a note onto the bed before quickly retreating under right before Mandalay opened the door. "Kota!" She began to panic when seeing he wasn't there, then spotted the note lying on the bed, when she picked it up and read it, a look of abject horror adorned her face.
…
Ochako walked down the street to her nearest station, she was hoping to see how Tenya was doing today after their conversation the other day. When she got to the station, she heard someone call out to her when she reached the platform. "Uraraka!" she looked up to see the navy haired teen waving at her.
"Hey Iida, what are you doing here?" Ochako asked.
"The train I took from Tokyo stopped here so I'm waiting for the next one to Musutafu." Tenya explained. "By the way, thanks for saying what you said to me yesterday, I called my brother and he said the same thing, needless to say my fears have mostly been put to rest."
"No problem." Ochako smiled back. As the two waited for the incoming train, they received a message on their Samuraizers, the looked to see a text from Ji:
"Rangers! One of the Kuroko spotted Kota while they were out grocery shopping, they saw that boy from yesterday run into the East section of Coruscant Forest!"
The two didn't waste any time, they bolted off the platform and ran through the streets into an alleyway, Tenya then wrote out the Kanji for gate (門), creating a portal in the forest. The two ran through the foliage, searching for the boy before reaching an opening. There, they looked up to see Kota standing high above on a rocky ledge. "What's he doing?"
Kota looked down from the ledge, a fall from this height would surely kill him. "Bout time you showed up." Kota turned to see Doubletone emerge from a crack in the rock.
"So, will the ritual work? Can you bring them back?" Kota asked.
Doubletone nodded. "Yep! All I need is a bit of blood, either from a small cut-" Doubletone then stepped towards the boy. "Or a smashed skull!" He then violently kicked him off the rocks edge, sending him falling to the ground.
"Uraraka!" Tenya shouted as he reached out his hand, Ochako quickly used her quirk to negate the navy teens gravity. Tenya then propelled himself forward with a recipro burst, launching himself up to the falling boy. He then quickly Morphed before catching Kota.
Tenya then braced for the fall as Ochako restored his gravity. She then quickly morphed before running to join the two when they landed. "Are you okay?"
"You damned rangers didn't listen to me!" Doubletone growled as he stared down at the three. "I told you to stay out of my business!"
"What were you planning Nighlok!?" Tenya shouted, drawing his Spin sword.
"H- he said that…" Kota spoke up. "He said that he could perform a ritual that could back to life."
"Well sorry kid but I Lied!" Doubletone shouted before jumping down to them. "Once ya Dead, ya Dead, there's no coming back no matter what!" At that, tears began welling up in Kota's eyes, the Nighlok saw this and went further. "And even if i could bring them back, i doubt they would want to deal with a brat like you anymore, Hell they'd probably run off and get themselves killed a-"
"Kota." Ochako interrupted before drawing her sword. "Run! We'll protect you!"
Kota ran off while Tenya and Ochako charged at Doubletone, they sent a flurry of slashes at the Nighlok, who merely blocked and deflected them with his spear. "Oh give it a rest!" Doubletone shouted, sending forth a breath of smoke that knocked the rangers back. "As soon as I'm finished dealing with you two, I'm going after that brat and I'm dragging him back up there!"
"Why are you after him!?" Tenya shouted as he got back to his feet.
"Well if you must know, when I first encountered him, I planned to just bring him out here to kill him, but after he told me about his parents and his remaining family, I got an idea." Doubletone spoke, slowly circling the two. "What's more saddening? A dead kid? Or a kid who couldn't handle living without their Pro hero parents and decided to try and join em?" The Rangers' grips on their swords tightened when they realised what the Nighlok had planned. "All i'd need to do was ramble to him about some dumb ritual and then forge a little suicide note for his remaining family, and since they're relatively famous, the resulting misery would surely raise the Sanzu river at an incredible rate!"
"You… You truly are Corrupt!" Ochako shouted, she and Tenya ran at Doubletone, ready to strike.
Doubletone merely scoffed as he was then engulfed by a menacing red and orange aura. "Tiger Tidalwave!" a red wave suddenly crashed into Ochako while a Tigers head slammed into Tenya, the two were sent flying by the attack. Doubletone laughed as he walked towards them, his spear at the ready. "Time to finish this!" Before he could attack however, A large object hit him in the side, Knocking the Nighlok to the ground.
Doubletone looked up to see the Red Samurai Ranger resting his Fire Smasher on his shoulder, the Green and Yellow Rangers at his side. "Sorry we were late, by the time Mentor sent the message, we were on our trains." Izuku apologised as Denki and Kyouka helped their friends to their feet.
Doubletone growled as he got back up. "Damn You! Moogers! Get Out Here!" A horde of Moogers began making their way through several cracks in the surrounding trees and rocks.
Izuku looked at Ochako and Tenya. "We'll handle the Moogers, you two handle him." before running in, waving his Fire Smasher around and sending several Moogers flying.
Denki equipped his Forest Spear and began spinning it around, knocking several Moogers back. "Have a nice trip!" Denki then tripped the remaining Moogers, similar to how Doubletone had tripped him the other days. "See you next fall!"
Kyouka equipped her Earth Slicer, using it to shield herself from the Moogers' attacks before throwing it, cutting down several Moogers.
Ochako and Tenya dealt with a couple of Moogers before turning to face Doubletone. "Oh! You want more of my ambidextrous attack?!" The Nighlok asked, his body once again being enveloped in the menacing aura.
Ochako quickly turned her attention to Tenya. "Iida I got an Idea! We'll counter his attacks and then finish him off!" she said before equipping her Heaven Fan.
"Right!" Tenya agreed before equipping his Hydro Bow.
The two then charged at Doubletone. "Tiger Tidalwave!" The Nighlok sent his Two-pronged attack at them, Ochako sent forth a wave of her fan that repelled the crimson wave while Tenya sent a Water Arrow right through the tiger.
They then launched two attacks, which then converged into a single finishing attack. "Typhoon Strike!" The attack went straight through Doubletone, causing him to fall to his knees before erupting in an explosion.
As the two began to catch their breaths, the other Rangers ran to their side. "Sorry we couldn't show up earlier." Kyouka apologised.
"It's okay." Ochako replied
"Midoriya, thanks for the save back there." Tenya thanked Izuku.
The rangers were reminded that the battle wasn't over when a pillar of fire shot into the sky, before revealing the Nighloks Giant form. "You Damned Rangers Are Gonna Regret Messing With Me!" Doubletone shouted.
Tenya looked up at the Nighlok before turning to Izuku. "Midoriya, not to sound selfish, but I'd like to get a few hits in before we finish him off."
"Me too!" Ochako spoke up as well, the two turned to each other and nodded before pulling out their Samuraizers and enlarging their Zords.
The two Zords Flew towards Doubletone. "Take this! You damned pests!" The Nighlok sent forth a breath of smoke at the Zords but all it caused were small scratches. The Dragon Folding Zord then retaliated by sending a blast of scalding water, burning the Nighlok. "Arrgh!"
"You aren't gonna hurt Kota ever again!" Ochako shouted. The Turtle Folding Zord transformed back into its emblem form and was then grabbed by the Dragon Zord, it then threw the Turtle Zord at Doubletone, knocking him back.
They were then joined by the other Zords. "Let's finish this together!" Izuku then used his Samuraizer to write out the Kanji for combine (合). "Zords Combine!"
The five Zords came together to form the Samurai Megazord. "Samurai Megazord, we are United!" The megazord faced down Doubletone as it unsheathed its sword, it then began slashing at the Nighlok but double tone blocked its attacks with his spear.
"Megazord, Shmegazord! I'll still rip you to pieces!" He then used the Tiger head on his shoulder to grab the Megazord's sword and disarming it, he then tossed the sword to the side before grabbing the Megazord in a headlock.
"Oh crap! What do we do now!?" Denki began panicking.
Tenya quickly turned to izuku. "Midoriya i have an idea!"
"Go for it!" Izuku nodded.
Tenya then pushed his control stick forward. "Dragon Leap!" The neck of the Dragon Zord extended, sending the Megazord into the air.
"Ariel Turtle Strike!" Ochako shouted, the Megazords right arm then detached and transformed back into its Turtle Zord, it then spinning down towards Doubletone. The Nighlok tried to block the attack but that resulted in the Zord's Fins cutting his spear in half. The Turtle Zord then reattached itself to the Megazord after it landed.
The Megazord retrieved its sword before pointing it at Doubletone, the Rangers then removed their swords from their podiums and then spun the Spin discs. "Katana Power!" The Megazord then prepared its Finishing move, its sword glowing with Symbol Power.
Doubletone cowered in fear, realising what was about to happen. "H-hang on! Can't we cut a deal!?"
The Megazord then raised its sword high above its head. "Samurai Strike!"

The megazord then slashed, cutting Doubletone straight down the middle, the Nighlok stumbled back before falling and erupting into a fiery explosion. "Samurai Rangers-"
"Victory is ours!" Ochako and Tenya both said triumphantly.
…
Mandalay ran through the streets, accompanied by local police and other Pro Heroes, Kota had disappeared and all that he left was a note saying how 'unhappy he was' and how 'he wanted it all to go away'. It pained her when she lost Kota's parents, she wasn't going to lose him too! As she searched, she heard a small voice come from behind. "Aunt Mandalay?"
'Kota!?' Mandalay spun around to see her Nephew, completely unharmed. "Kota!" She then ran towards him, wrapping him up in a tight hug. "thank god you're okay!" she spoke through tears. "I'm so sorry! I should've known how you felt!"
"H-huh? What do you mean?" Kota asked, struggling to breath from the hug.
"The note you left!" She said, pulling said note out of her pocket. "You wrote that you weren't happy and-"
"I didn't leave a note!" Kota interrupted, after a bit of thinking he realised who left it. 'The Monster!' He then looked back at mandalay. "Yesterday a monster appeared at the park! He said he would bring Mom and Dad but he tried to kill me, but a couple of heroes saved me."
Mandalay sighed in relief before turning to one of the heroes helping in the search: Kamui Woods. "Call the Hero Public Safety Commission, tell them I won't be able to make the meeting." the wooden hero nodded as Mandalay looked back to her nephew. "Let's go home."
Kota nodded before hugging her back.
High above atop a building, the Samurai Rangers were able to breathe a sigh of relief as they watched the reunion. Izuku then took out his Samuraizer and wrote out the Kanji for dreams (夢) and casting it down to Kota, upon impact the character transformed into two figures.
Kota looked back to see two people he hadn't seen in a while: his parents, everyone nearby was shocked by their appearance. "Mom? Dad?" Kota teared up as the two spoke:
"We love you Kota."
And then, they disappeared. Kota began to cry and hugged mandalay tight while everyone else began looking around trying to figure out what had just happened, the only one to somewhat figure it out was Mandalay when she looked up to see the Samurai Rangers atop a nearby building, the Blue Samurai Ranger gave a quick wave before the five walked out of view.
"Hey Midoriya, what was that?" Denki asked as he and the others demorphed and walked through a portal back to the Shiba house.
"He dreamed of seeing his parents again." Izuku explained. "I was able to make that dream a reality, but only for a moment."
As he went inside, Tenya spoke up. "Uraraka, this incident with Kota and my weird behaviour for the past couple of days has made me realise something, we need to make sure we'll always win so our families won't suffer the pain of losing us, as both Heroes and Samurai."
Uraraka looked at him for a moment before smiling. "Right." she then pumped her fist in the air. "To being the Best!"
Tenya smiled and pumped his fist in the air too. "To being the best!"
Kyouka and Denki watched on before joining in. "To being the Best!" the four chanted while Izuku walked inside.

There you have it, it seems that Kota's hate towards heroes might be a bit lessened now. See you next time when our young Heroes take their first steps into "UA High".
