"…How do I teach you?"

Hachiman scratches his head with a confused look as he holds a book in his other hand while E sits on a chair with a blank look, directed at him. After returning home from the walk and eating dinner, courtesy of Komachi cooking, he brought her to his little sister's room to start teaching.

He sighs then whips out his phone from his pocket, "How, to, teach, Japanese, language, to… Foreigners," He mutters while typing in the words in google. He scrolls down with his thumb while muttering no's.

"…Maybe this one."

After a few minutes of reading, he shakes his head with a sigh then places his phone on the desk that Komachi uses to study and is now turned into E's study table for a while, "Well… We might as well start with Hiragana." He opens the book and sets it down onto the desk.

E glances at the book then back to him with her head slightly tilting, prompting him to sigh then place the book on her lap, "Here… Read it… Hold on, I'll show you the ones that you know first as examples… Or maybe you know English then I can just translate for you, although it won't be good in the long run…"

Hachiman blinks as he hears a knock coming from the door, prompting him to look and see the door swing open, revealing Komachi, wearing her nightwear.

"Nii chan, it's already midnight." She yawns then glances to see him using his phone while sitting on her bed while E is deep into reading a book by her desk, evidenced by the fact that she didn't even glance at her.

"Right." He slowly gets up while putting his phone into his pocket then walks over to E to get her attention by waving his hand in front of her, "We'll stop here for now."

E blinks before turning her head to look at him then slowly nods. She mechanically gets up then stands still, prompting him to sigh then point to the bed and make a sleeping gesture. She blinks then heads to the bed and sits.

Hachiman sighs while shaking his head to get rid of his sleepiness, "Go to sleep, E, erm, I mean, Lumine-chan."

Lumine blinks then lays down on the bed while Komachi makes a complicated face as she gazes at the former, "…Is she even clean?"

He shrugs, "She went to the bathroom after asking me through hand signals."

"I thought she doesn't understand us?"

"Well… She's a genius." He walks to the door, "Come on, we'll continue talking outside."

Komachi pouts, "…This is my room." She begrudgingly follows him outside then closes the door.

Hachiman turns around with a smirk, "And who was it that wanted her to stay?"

"Shut up, Nii-chan. Minus a thousand Komachi points!"

He chuckles, then exaggeratedly makes a shocked face, "Oh no, not a thousand, oh what will I ever do to regain it back," He says in a deadpan tone, prompting her to try and hold her smile back with little success.

He coughs then looks at her with his normal facial expression, "Anyway, Lumine-chan, that is her name by the way after she translated it when she heard me calling by that, is learning at a fast, no, extremely fast rate. She learned the Hiragana in a few hours, though she doesn't know English, or really any language when I showed her words like French, Chinese."

She blinks, "Wow and ok…" Then slowly claps a bit before dragging him, "Anyway, time to sleep!"

"Oi, no need to pull me like that," He grumbles but lets himself get dragged while his mind wanders, "So… I am almost completely sure that she is someone from another world unless she is the greatest actor in the world."

She doesn't say anything but opens the door to his room then drags him inside, "Obviously, Nii-chan." She crosses her arms after shutting the door behind them.

Komachi continues in a lecturing tone, "She appeared all of a sudden, she doesn't understand our language or technology, and she writes in a language completely different than what we know!" She waves her finger to the sides.

"Obviously it's like those anime shows about isekai!"

Hachiman rolls his eyes while slowly clapping, "Great detective skills, Komachi…"

She pouts while uncrossing her arms, "Hey~! No sarcasm in this room!"

"It's my room though."

"Yeah but I need to sleep here. Remind me again who's fault is that?"

"You."

She pouts even harder then playfully punches him, prompting him to smirk before opening the door, "Well, I'm going to go take a bath. Komachi, can you please unfurl the futon?"

She pouts at him before sighing, "Alright." She goes to the bed then grabs the futon on top, the same one that he used last night since he gave her the bed to sleep while he slept on the futon on the floor, although it was a bit cramped for him since the room is filled with other furniture and random objects.

Hachiman, now wearing his sleeping clothes, yawns as he slowly lays down on the futon. He blinks then gets up to grab his phone by the night shelf, though he stops to glance at Komachi lightly snoring on his bed, prompting him to silently chuckle.

He turns on his phone, "Sunday… Tomorrow is the first day of school, huh…" He silently mutters to himself as he looks at the date displayed then he glances at the door.

"School, Komachi… Now Lumine-chan. Three things that I need to take care of…" He sighs as he turns off his phone then lays down with a soft thud, "…Is there any way to drop her off somewhere or get her family to take her back? Oh wait, she is an isekai character… Maybe she doesn't even have any family anymore since she looked like… Soulless? Something like that."

He closes his eyes, "…Well, leave it to future Hachiman. Present Hachiman is going to sleep. Sorry not sorry."

Urgh, really starting to regret trying to explain how Lumine understands what 8man and Komachi are saying instead of doing what other authors usually do when the character doesn't know the language and just do a timeskip and show that she can already understand and communicate with the other characters. And actually putting in the Japanese suffix here... Meh, I'll just take this as experience. Anyway, grumbling aside, on to the comments!

G0dz1llex - eh, the misinterpretations are kinda hard to avoid since I am relying on guesses on how Hachiman will react and all by using canon him as a guideline as this is a new experience for him.
