Chapter 8
It's been three months since then and Christmas is just few days ahead. It gotten really cold here in Kuoh and so far as the eyes can see are all snow. Even now it is snowing heavy and I'm sitting on my chair on my computer with my bed cover around me, yeah it's that cold or maybe that's just me. Christmas is just few days away, so the academy is closed to get ready for the holidays.
In those three months back when I finally used and train Yeoui, it was quite surprising how I was able to wield the weapon so easily. It must be like second nature to this body of mine since it is technically `Mori's` or at least the one who's born here or maybe `Mori` from the webtoon, (sighed) I am still getting confused sometimes about my identity. Still though those two dreams of sorts I had before, where I met two `ME's`, one that looks exactly like me with the same clothing and the other is the Prophesied Supreme God Mori.
They may have the answer I want but I haven't got much luck on how to get back to them, not meditation that was probably a one-time thing maybe and the other is just straight to sleep to have that dream. Well, I'm sure I'll get around to it.
Back to my Yeoui, I was able to use it with both precision and power, and I could slay slays easily with it. I can expand it and shrink the staff to any size that I want but I hold back on making it as large as a building despite I know I could but that will definitely attract unwanted attention. As for the weight of the weapon, so far, I can make as heavy as wrecking ball and I use it to mostly to immobilise some powerful enemies while I take out the small fries first with my martial arts.
I was able to master much of what my partial monkey mode able to give me, such as the physical strength that came with it and my sense had been amp up to eleven or more. It was weird though, before I awakened my new form, I couldn't use nor able to take out my pillar out of my ear even though I could feel and know that Yeoui was there. It was possible that I need the power of my monkey king form to use, now however despite not being in the new mode, I'm able to unleash it and use it.
During those three months, after a week when I awakened my MK mode, I was thinking of when I could be able to use both my other weapons. My cloudy stormy friend; Geundoowun and my shapeshifting friend; The Seventh Master of the Heavenly Realm: The Circle. But so far, no dice.
Just when I thought of those two, my narrowed my eyes and hope that after all this time that they stay loyal to me since like before, both were being used against me and following someone else's orders.
'If that happens again, I swear I'm gonna make those two thousands upon thousands of push ups and sit ups and more for their disloyalty.' I thought in my mind with little annoyance. But the second after I thought of that, the first time it was a fault of mine, maybe a little bit.
This time will be different though, because this time, I may be confused about my true identity so far but I'm sure that there will come a day that I will truly know who I am, as well as I know my feelings are real and it is telling that I love my family and friends and I will do anything to protect them. I will not be lost nor doubt myself. It was the reason why those two and even my dragon Armoursuit left `me`.
However so far, I couldn't sense or detect those two weapons of mine, I don't know much of the reason for it but I'm sure I'll get them eventually. Maybe I need my full monkey king form, or I need to get more stronger despite the current form.
For now, I needed to focus on some I have and mastered them so that I can the feel on this power so that when I do awaken the full power of my monkey king mode, I should be able to use it with ease.
I guess it truly is true, it seems my emotions, body and soul may very be not in sync, since I am an isekai person in this body of what I believe to be Mori on the webtoon but at the same time, it's the body of Mori of this reality. Considering that I'm still training to get stronger and master everything that I `Mori` has already mastered.
In the three months' time, there was something I could help but notice. The number of strays has somehow been decreased when it comes to my sensing the whole city. Before I got the info of the objective of kidnapping Koneko, there was a lot of them, but after that night of revelation, it became less of them throughout those months. When I did manage to find some and interrogated them, it seems they didn't know anything about King Nebiros and his goal.
So far, the strays that I countered didn't anything apart from their usual killing and eating humans.
Also, my hunting for strays has gotten a little more complicated. Ever since the abandoned church incident, both Rias and Sona as well as their peerages have gotten more active at night. Responding quicker than before, so I had to make encounter and slaying faster so I could escape the area before they get me.
The only one had manage to not only saw me leaving the area but gave chase was and still is Koneko. I could tell she can't sense me through devil and Ki means, but only through sight. So, when she gets a small visual of me or even remotely similar to me, she just instantly dashes towards my directions. Her attempts however were and will always be in vain. She's not fast enough to catch me. She is a Rook after all.
Kiba did gave it a try when Koneko shouted at the Knight pointing at my direction but even, he despite being a piece specialized in speed is not nor he ever will be fast enough to get me.
All the peerage members did try almost anything to capture me but again all the things they tried did not work in any way. I was and am that good.
so, it was slight uneventful during those three months, only the chases that had been added to my hunt at night.
Once I manage to master my physical strength that got upgraded through my awakening, I finally gotten so much relief for that because I really didn't want to accidentally hurt or kill someone with my new monstrous strength.
I had and still have a little bit of a dilemma when it happened though, it was concerning my older sister Yong. With this new strength and my mastery of it, I gotten in my head that I could finally get a win against big sis. I know that she is totally not a push over because of her rank and title as being the one of the youngest in history to be a Master. As well as being a pure prodigy and highly classified genius in Martial Arts.
I can tell there is a huge difference now between us and I could actually win against her in a fight. But I also feel it would be kind of cheating sort of way, I couldn't help but felt a little guilt of getting stronger by not ordinary means but through supernatural one. It was the reason why I decided to skip her club for a period of time.
Then I decided to do the usual things in her club but toning down my physical abilities to a state before my awakening, so to not get attention from Yong and others. I amped it up a little bit every week so that I can look normal and getting improvement no matter how small in everybody's eyes.
As for sparring with big sister, don't think I could hide my true strength from her when we do it, she is that perceptive when it comes to both martial arts and me. so, I was and still am indecisive of whether I should ask for a spar or what to answer when or if she asks for one.
'I can't exactly tell her about everything that's happened and happening to me, no doubt she will grill me about everything, and she may very well be exposed to the supernatural world because of me because of her worries'.
'that's the last thing I need to worry about. My family is ignorant about the other world and I hope it stays that way, forever if possible, considering how awful it can be, especially how death and overall chaos it brings is a norm in the supernatural world.'
So from now on I have to try and find many ways to have some concrete excuse to not have a spar with her and pray that big sis won't ask for a sparring. One can only hope I guess at this point.
Now I'm currently searching for whatever gifts I can buy for my Mother and sisters online since I have no hope of buying any kind at the shopping stalls because it will still be pack full of people buying their own gifts.
My gifts for my family must be special one since I know from `my memories`, I buy new different kinds of gift to them every year.
"Ooh, that looks good"
Four days later (Christmas)
Rias POV
"Merry Christmas!"
All the people shouted inside the Occult Reacher Club old building. My peerage members and Sona's are here and we're celebrating with gifts, food and entertainments.
"hehe I can't help but feel strange about all this every time of this day. We are all Devils and we're celebrating about a person who sacrificed himself on a cross for humanity and who is affiliated with our hated enemies." Kiba said with a chuckle. I also chuckled replying.
"It's modern meaning is what we are doing this really, one I truly love doing every single year. Party, receiving and giving gifts and many much more to celebrate. That is why we are doing this." with a bright smile on my face.
"I guess you're right, though I still can't help feeling the oddness of it".
I even wanted gasper to participate with us, but he was very adamant to stay in his room locked up, so he was celebrating through online face chat. We gave him some food so it can look like he was eating with us. I sighed 'one day Gasper, you'll be here with everyone in person'.
I then looked at my fellow king who's at the window and looking at the sky with a little frown on her face.
"Sona, come here and turn the frown upside down and enjoy yourself, its Christmas after all"
"I'm sorry, I am just a little distracted about something."
"What about? It must be something truly troublesome for you to be distracted especially today where we all are supposed to be relaxing and celebrating."
"I deeply apologies, I don't mean to undermine the holiday atmosphere with my worries. I'm coming." Sona said and walking towards the others.
"Well, I believe part of Christmas is helping others so if there's anything on you mind you can tell me and I happy to help any way I can." I told her with a reassuring smile.
"Hmm, well I sure you noticed it as well. For the last 2 months, I haven't seen the sun in the sky. Not once, not even sunrise on the horizon in the morning." Narrowing her eyes, a little. Rias replying.
"ah... now that you mentioned it, it is strange. You are right I have noticed it, but I did not think much of it since it may just be a natural phenomenon here in Japan. However, I do now feel something odd about the weather for the last 3 months now that I think about it."
"Agreed, it is strange but what's even more bizarre is this kind of weather started like this after that incident". Said Tsubaki joining the conversation and making both Sona and I to drift on what they found and sensed on that particular night.
Sona and her peerage were going to sleep, and I had instructed both Kiba and Koneko out patrolling the city again for only a few hours before their nights rest. Then suddenly all of us sensed an enormous and powerful energy swept through the city before vanishing completely. We never felt any like that before except it was close to the level of satans, quite like my older brother.
I ordered both my knight and rook to meet up with the rest with Sona and I in the park. Once we were all gathered, we ran to the location we sensed the energy came from and along the way we started to hear sounds of fight and a couple blast of noises before silence. We all came a across the abandoned building and saw a very large chunk of it was destroyed along a with a trail of destruction outside of the damage structure.
We went inside and witnessed a what can be only called a massacre. Many both fallen and devils alike are corpses scattered around. However, there was nobody else but us now which can only mean that the perpetrator must have either dead or possibly escape. Though considering the only residual energy in the air are only the fallen light powers and demonic energy and nothing else, the one that made the powerful energy then disappearing is the one responsible for this.
Though the power we sensed no matter how brief is not within the place anymore, we should have sensed it within this place along the other powers, but it wasn't. After much thinking, both Sona and I came to the same conclusion is that the one responsible of this is the same entity that's roaming around Kuoh and hunting both strays and other supernatural criminals.
It must be the one that created that powerful energy we sensed.
We tried to make contact with the figure named 'Kong' whose been in this hunting down strays and some other supernatural criminals that manage to sneak into the city without me and my fellow king knowing. There were some instances that Kong was sighted, and we gave chase but every time he/she disappears with blinding speed that surpass even my knight Kiba.
Both Sona and I were intrigue by this individual and so we decided to meet him/her but it would seem that they had no interest on communicating with us. Also, we do not have any kind on information about them and whether they are a threat to us or not, Sona and I have to know so we made a decision to bring them in, by force if necessary.
This Kong is too much of an unknown to be let loose in this city we are governing, especially it was capable or releasing the amount of power that can rival even that of the satans and my older brother who's at the top ten strongest being in the world.
The day after that night, there was a breaking news that there was a giant cloud formation heading straight for Japan and it was big enough to cover the entire country. We thought it might've some kind of storm, but it was only just clouds. Strong wings here and there but nothing major occurring, since then it was very cloudy in the country of Japan that to this day is still here and no changing in sight. So, with all that we just dismissed it. But now thinking about carefully it is very strange for the weather to be like this.
"Sona, any news so far about 'that'." I ask her.
"All I can tell you is so far, there isn't any lead regarding the missing devils." she narrows her eyes.
"Hmm, for the past few months, devils in the populace of the underworld are disappearing and missing, and somehow no one knows how or even why."
"Have you seen the picture of those who's missing?"
"Yes, what about you?" Rias nodded.
"There is also a rumour going around that we are not the only with this kind of predicament" she told me making me gasp in surprise.
"Really?"
"Yes, I heard the Fallens, Yokais and to even my surprise the Greek faction also in the same boat as we are." making even more surprised and shock. She continued.
"The Greeks are in chaos right now, trying to find out what happened just like we are and just we are they have no idea as well."
"I see."
Then suddenly a voice is heard through the air of the club room.
"Well, you all are about to find out".
Making everyone flinch in surprise and quickly powering up spells and weapons, but before we could do anything else, a large magic circle shined beneath out feet.
"What!"
"Is this..."
"Oh no..."
"Not good!"
"Everyone stay togeth...!"
Then two kings and their peerage vanished.
Mori POV
"Merry Christmas!"
All of us cheered at once. Mom and both my sisters are in the living filled with decorations and boxes of presents and may other stuff to boot.
'Man, that is a lot of food. Oh I can't to eat those and that and that. Mom cooking is the best alright'.
"Now Mori, don't even think about eating all that. Save some for us you glutton son of mine".
"Mooom, haahh okay, it you fault anyway for making very delicious meals." I whined a little.
"oohh, so that means, I shouldn't make your food from now on" she said with a sly smile.
"NOOO!, I'm sorry I take back everything I said!"
Both Mom and my sisters laughed and started to dig in as well as me but trying so hard not to devour like an animal. 'Yes, it was that good, guess it's true to what they say, cooking's of a mother is the best'.
After eating we played some games and after just generally have the time of our lives. Then came the time to open up our presents.
"Okay! Boy and girls, time for presents!" Mom Shouted with a smile.
"I'm first as the eldest".
"You calling yourself old" I whispered.
"What was that Mori?"
"n... nothing" I quickly said, terrified.
"Alright then, let's see what you got me little brother" grabbing the present I got for her.
A long rectangular shape covered in colourful wrapping. She teared the wrap showing a long brown case, once she opened it up, I already expected my big sis first reaction will be flat face with a hint of disappointment. Mom and Ahan also seemed to expect more as well.
"This is what you give me little bro. A stick." making chuckle.
"Oh, it's more than just a stick Yong, take it in first". I said to her with a smile. Yong did just that and begun inspecting with keen eyes.
"Now as you can already see it has markings throughout the Staff and you can see the circle ones that are coloured red. I want you to press with your thumb one on the muddle" I instructed her.
I can see in the background, Mom and Ahan are becoming more interested by the second with the way they look right now.
When Yong pressed the red circular button, she called feel some vibrations within the staff like there is something moving inside of it. When the vibration stopped, the staff had detached itself in the middle making two sticks. Yong was surprised with the way her face was showing, her eyes twinkled and mouth like an o, then she grinned.
"Ahh, I see. So that how it is."
"Heh, leave it to you to figure it out so quickly, I expect nothing less." with a grin.
Once she understood my present, Yong went to some open space in the living and begun to show some in stick skills and techniques and then pressed the other red buttons on the staff changing its forms.
A Staff, two stick, nun chucks and three section nun chucks.
When she was done mastering the weapon, she came up to me with a smile to her face and gave me an embrace. And with a grin she said.
"Thank you, Mori. Best present ever."
I hug her back and we went back to opening our presents.
I opened my present from Yong and it was a book. It wasn't just any book it was in her handwriting detailing some Martial Art techniques she created only for me. I was truly moved by it and this time I gave a hug.
Then it was Ahan turn to open her presents. She decided to open all three from each of us. From me, big sis and mom. It was a present with decided together for her. A three set of necklaces of the three elements. one Fire, one ice and one earth. Each symbol of the elements has Korean engravings on them telling what the elements represent the person who's wearing them.
Fire – A burning Strong and Passionate Soul.
Ice – A Cool and intellectual Leaders Mind.
Earth – A powerful Unyielding Will and Fierce Warrior Spirit.
What made them even more special is that the symbols can connect and attach to each other as a single necklace. Our present made Ahan jump in joy and gave each of a bone crushing embrace.
Mom did the same as her youngest daughter and opened all three gifts from her children. Yong got her a new and stylish apron, I got Mom a canvas print of our family, and lastly Ahan gave her a feet water massager. This result in getting smothered with hugs and kisses on our face but is accepted wholeheartedly.
Yong opened her gift from Ahan, it was some an assortment clothing and finally Ahan opened her present from big sis and it was some high-quality cooking utensils since our younger sister likes to cook alongside Mom.
Once all the gifts have been opened up, we decided to continue to party till midnight. However, I couldn't help but feel like I was forgetting something and after much thinking trying to remember I blink and finally remembered what it was.
"Ahan hold on a sec, I can't believe I let it slip my mind. I got one last present for you, hold on I got it in my room". Then I went to my room grabbing it and head back down.
"What is it?" she asks curiously, she wasn't the only one. Mom and big sis as well. I handed it to her.
"Well, remember three months ago, you started having constant nightmares and you were having a hard time trying to sleep because you keep waking up in the middle of the night because of them?" I said to her.
After the day I manage to awaken my monkey king mode even it was partially. Ahan started to have nightmares that got me and rest of the family worried for her.
I ask her once about what she could remember about her nightmares but all she can remember is that there was monster and they're killing lots of people and a figure who had purple hair fighting them of whilst holding a baby, she also said that she couldn't recognise the figure because the face was in a blur. This got me feels strange, I couldn't help but feel at the back of mind I know what she was talking about but somehow it is slipping out of it.
Mom, Yong and I did everything we could to try to help her but nothing works, until one day I saw her in the living room in the middle of the night watching TV. I approached her and I saw her eyes starting to have colour red on them and a hint of eyebags. I sat down next to her and hugged her putting her head on my chest. I told her it will be okay and I racked my head with everything I got, thinking anything that can help my little sister.
Then I just randomly thought of something and went for it because I at this point I just do about anything to help her. I gave her something and once Ahan put it on, she went back to my chest, and I started to hum for her. The next thing I know a miracle happened; Ahan went to sleep with a slight smile on her face. I did not want to move so to not wake her, so we just stayed in that position on the couch till I also slept alongside her. Mom and Yong hugged to death after that day.
After that I let her borrow it till one day, she started to sleep soundly again without it and she gave it back to me.
"This is yours now." I said to with a bright smile.
Ahan ripped the wrapping and stared at my gift for her. She gasps, widen her eyes in absolute surprise and covering her mouth with her hands. She then took her gift and stared at it that to her felt like a long time.
Ahan present is my dark green sleeping mask.
I gave it to her that night it really helped her go back to sleep and healing her from the nightmares she had.
When Ahan was staring at my gift, I noticed her eyes suddenly glowed for a few seconds before it went away, also it seemed that Mom and Yong didn't notice it but me. I got a little suspicious of that, but then I was overwhelmed in worry because I saw one of Ahan's eyes just teared up.
India (Hindu Faction)
Shiva was on top a mountain meditating and suddenly his whole body just twitch making him confused. To him it was not any kind of accident, so he delved deeper in him mind seeing what caused it.
"Hmm?"
DanJin House
Back at the house, I hurriedly went towards her and said.
"Hey are you okay? You don't like it?" I quickly ask in a slight panic and grabbing her shoulders.
What I didn't expect however was Ahan's body slammed onto mine and felt her arms around me.
"I love it" I heard her muffled in my shirt making me smile and hugging her back and putting my cheek on her head then I said to her.
"Merry Christmas"
Both Mom and Yong stared at the scene with smiles deciding not to interrupt.
Ahan then steps back a little but keeping her arms around me and I could see her here tears dried up and was greeted with brightest smile I have ever seen her with.
"I love it Mori and I'll treasure it forever".
Then she gave me a kissed me on the cheek.
Again her eyes glowed before disappearing again, but I put that back of my mind for now and think of it later. Right now, family comes first.
After my moment with Ahan, we all went back to celebrating. Then when it came close to finishing up, I was in the toilet and I felt a spike of energy coming from the direction of the school. I knew beforehand with my Chi sense skill, that all the devils of my school are in the old building of the occult research club, they also must be celebrating the holiday. Only after a few second the energy I sense just vanished; I immediately use my skill to sense the devil's chi in the school, but I couldn't feel any of them.
The energy that I sense was foreign to me and it was slightly different from both the kings and their peerages. The one that made that energy must be responsible for devil's disappearing as well.
My instinct tells me that what happened was probably the start of something big and its usually very right. It's entirely possible to what just happened may very well affect the city and especially my family. I can't let that happen. So with my decision made to go to school and check whatever happened but first I need some excuse to my family for leaving.
It must be something they can believe and accept without any kind of suspicion. I then went to my room, change my clothes, grabbed my bag and putting my King outfit and mask inside of it. Then I took my phone with me and head downstairs.
I went to the living room and faced them, Mom asks me.
"Mori? Are you going out now? At this time?"
"Hm, what's with the bag?" Yong then asks me. I answered them.
"Yeah sorry guys. I got a call from one of my friends that he wanted to give his present for me and can't come here himself because of their car is damage from the cold. So I'll go there to take my gift from them in their house."
"I don't know how big or heavy it is so the bag can help with that".
"Can it wait till tomorrow?" Ahan asks me.
"No can do. Today's a special day and he might be disappointed he couldn't give it to on this day."
"Don't worry though, I have my phone with me and some money for buses"
"Okay honey if, you're sure. Call though when you're on your way home".
"Sure thing Mom and hey this is me were talking about you know, I'm strong enough to handle anything." after I said that I closed the door and started my way to school by sprinting with highspeed.
'Thats exactly what I'm worried about' Mom thought.
"There he goes again, leaving by himself to protect us" Ahan unknowingly said in a whisper. Then she jolts up a little confused to why she suddenly kissed him and why in that moment she felt her heart started to race very fast. Somehow it felt it wasn't from embarrassment.
Ahan then looked at the sleeping mask and smile with a little blush on her cheeks.
I sprinted and jumped on the rooftops heading towards the school, but I stop to just quickly to change my outfit to my alter ego.
'Heh I feel like I'm in the world of superheroes in the comics'
Once finished changing I continued on and now landing in school grounds. I then jog to the old building to where the devils were partying and when I got there no one was there. I searched the entire premise and no sign of them.
"That settles that, the energy I sense must have been some kind teleportation and it sent all of them somewhere else"
I went outside and jump on the roof of the old building and I sat down and meditate to use my Chi sensing school. I already know of the devil's chi and I should be able to track them in Kuoh. A few minutes have passed and nothing, none of their chi are in the city and there was nothing that looks out of places when I tried sense the entire for them.
'It must mean they are not in the city; the Devil's must have been teleported outside of Kuoh'.
So stretched my sensing skill outwards from all directions and so far, nothing but I wasn't giving up. I expanded it more and now I sense something really off, 50 miles to the west outside of Kuoh there seems to be some kind of anomaly. Like the Chi of nature is being disrupted by something.
So with that I sprinted to the direction of the anomaly and once I was out side of the city I quickly transformed myself into my Partial Monkey King mode. Then I continued with more speed than ever before.
Rias and Sona and their peerage found themselves in a very serious predicament. One moment all of them were celebrating the holiday then kidnapped and now facing an army of devils, fallen angels, yokais and from Rias can see Greek Indvidual's wearing amors and weapons.
Then they both looked around them and saw they are in a dome shaped dimensional barrier. Separating us from the outside world and from what both kings can tell it a very sophisticated barrier that we can't use our speels to escape and completely undetectable from the outside. So for the time being both kings assess their situation and looking towards their adversary.
In front of the army is a float chair that looks like a throne and a figure sitting on it. A figure they know, not personally but from the style of his clothing and symbol of a family crest on it. He's a pure blood devil and he's a noble.
He has a black hair and dark eyes filled with malice and a grin.
Once Rias and the others gotten on the feet from the teleportation, both kings stared at the one sitting one the throne and heard him speak.
"Greeting Rias Gremory, Sona Sitri. I welcome you to my experiment, for you all are my guinea pigs".
"From that crest, you must be from household of Nebiros." Rias said ignoring his offensive words.
"Yes I am from that house. The same one who's member has been slain by a stray cat" growled at the end while looking at Koneko.
Rias moved in front of her rook. Then Sona spoke.
"Then you should already know that you house is not only an exta devil house but also one that opposed the current devil society".
"Correct, todays devils are becoming soft and straying the path of the true devils. Strong as Sirzechs is, being both a Satan and a super devil, his very naivety will be his downfall"
"How dare you talk about my older brother that way!" Rias shouted.
"Calm yourself Rias, his trying to get under your skin." Sona told her friend. Nebiros is smirking at them.
"Not only you disrespect a Satan and taking us for you experiment and amusement. Do you truly know who we are and what we all are capable of" Sona stated and her queen and the rest of her peerage made a combat stance.
"Oh, I know exactly who you are and what you all truly capable of. It is the very reason for experiment after" he said grinning.
"Also, it's more than just an experiment but more so revenge." Nebiros snarled and once again looking at Koneko, making Rias asks.
"And what's exactly do you mean by that?"
"Not only did I lose my experimental product but also my very own brother was murdered by a feline who just had to get in the way." he snarled and now glaring at Koneko.
Both Rias and Sona and their peerage gaped in pure surprise.
"Supposedly it wasn't my brother who's going to use you Shirone (Koneko flinched at that name) but me. My brother and I have different project to focus on, mine is something else but it required an understanding of senjutsu considering Kuroka was already in my brother hands you were available".
"Your power of senjutsu rivals that of your older sister and I saw you have the potential to surpass even her. So I had to get you, but that didn't go as planned didn't Shirone?"
"Her name is Koneko!" Rias said aloud while hugger her rooking who's shaking in freight. Akeno, Kiba and surprisingly Gasper who is still inside his box.
"You are not getting her Nebiros nor we will indulge your sick experiments. You will die here count on that" Sona declared and her peerage ready themselves for battle.
"Very well, do entertain me" signalling his army to attack them but also not to kill the cat. She still has her uses and Nebiros wants her for his project.
The battle had begun and the Devils of Kuoh engage them with force.
Nebiros only grin expecting this to happen as he planned it. Initially before this, he hired many strays and infiltrate the city and take Shirone from Gremory without notice. And if a fight was an unavoidable, the hired strays would have made sure it was not link to him in any way. But that previous plan failed. All because an unknown entity kept interfering with my plan. The one the rumours calls 'Kong'. When two of the ones I hired had returned to me all damaged and said what happened to them. Nebiros was completely livid and killed both of them in pure anger.
This 'Kong' will die after this experiment is finished.
Couple of minutes had passed since the battle started and it was more difficult than both kings had expected. Their enemies ranges from grunts to elites with more than just one pair of wings. With Sona coordinating both peerage with her strategies to which Rias agreed at this time she let her friend in command of her and her peerage in this battle since she is more qualified right now.
Many minutes have passed again that felt to them like hours, the Devils of kuoh are starting to feel fatigue making their moves slower by the second. Gasper is the only one who not fighting as he is not yet ready for it, he is being protected by some of Sona's members. However, during the bout all of them noticed something about the enemies. Two things they saw and realised. All the devils opposing them are ones that were missing and it was possible that the rest must been missing from the other factions.
The other thing they all saw is their foes eyes are so dull with no light in them and their faces are looking so blank and expressionless.
Something has happened to them. We then sent large blast of magic at them making them go back to make distance.
"Sona, you see what I'm seeing?"
"Yes Rias, no doubt about. All of the devils we're fighting are ones that went missing for last couple of months"
"Hmm, also there's a good chance the others from the different factions are also went missing." Rias deducted.
"Yes correct, as expected from both of you" Nebiros said loudly while clapping.
"What have you done to them?!"
"Now now Rias, try to figuring it yourself. From the way they look, it is kind of obvious."
Rias and the others look at their enemies more intently and all of them made the same conclusion.
"Mind Control" Sona stated.
"That's right, well done. That is my project. Utter pure and perfect control of other beings." Nebiros said with big grin on his face.
"Thats impossible" Akeno said in shock.
"Ohh but we live in a world that anything is possible right? Though of course right now it's not perfect, not yet anyway. That's exactly why I need that white cat of yours."
"Me?" Koneko asks in surprise.
"Yes, you see I need you and your power of senjutsu for my project, and I can tell I am almost there. You could say you are the final ingredient for it to be completed." making Koneko shiver.
"As we all know senjutsu is the control the flow of life energy and Ki of all living beings. So I wondered if it's possible to control a beings life energy and Ki from the outside, can that be the same as able to control their very life? And the mind is a part of life, so I made it my very purpose to pursue this endeavour no matter what the cost." Nebiros smiling with pure evil.
"You monster" Kiba gritted.
"Why thank you, I will take that as a compliment. Since it is the very truth of our kind, right? Devils are monsters and that is why all other being in the world should fear us."
"We have changed, the past is the past. If our kind continued to think and believe that way especially during the civil war, the Devil race could have been extinct." Tsubaki said.
"This coming from a lowly reincarnated devil. You and others like you are barely considered Devil since you weren't born as such to begin with. So don't speak to me about change" Nebiros glared at her.
"Are they ready yet?"
Then another voice is heard by all of them, a magic circle erupted next to Nebiros and a person reveal itself to all of them and He was wearing a Greek themed clothing confirming he was in the Greek Faction.
"Ah, Lord Priapus. Do please exercise patients..."
"Silence bat, you are speaking to a God here." cutting Nebiros off.
Nebiros just kept himself calm despite talking to the god and they both have a conversation about what to do next and whether Nebiros should continue his experiment with the devils of kuoh. Nebiros is avoiding much conflict as much as possible between both of them verbally since he believes the god in front of him is still have his uses despite his taste. So he pretends showing him some respect making him believe Nebiros actually serve the god but he only sees him as just another guinie pig and Priapus doesn't even know it.
Meanwhile Sona, Rias and their peerage members are all surprised, shock beyond belief and very much horrified. A god, a divine being has come and from the it looks and from what they heard. This being is their enemy, never in their life they had to face a god as an enemy.
"Sona, if you have anything in your mind to get us out of here, now's the time."
"Believe me Rias, if there was a way I could have thought of it by now and done it already. Now everything just got much, much worse."
"Buchou we can't fight someone of that calibre, especially in the condition we're all right now" Akeno said to her King.
"I know Akeno, I am scared as you are and the rest".
Sona is also in the same boat as Rias, trying to calm her peerage and thinking of any kind of ideas to get all of them out of this situation, but so far nothing is coming in the Sitri's mind. All of them are frightened to the out most degree and some are shaking their legs and others are frozen completely.
'This is bad' Rias thought and what makes it even worse is the very barrier surrounds them making escape with magic useless and even calling for help is impossible. Priapus then turn to look at them or more specifically the female ones with a looking that made them shiver in both scared and creeped out.
"I will be taking the girls now." he started to float towards them while perversely grinning making all the girls shiver in disgust.
"Please wait only for a little longer my lord. Only for a few more seconds and I will be done. And once finished I can give the power to control anyone and make your every desire possible. So please, have patients and this will work. I promise you." Priapus looked at him intently and thought about it. The promise of control to make his desire come true is very enticing.
"Hmm, very well. However, do so quickly my patients is becoming thin and you may pay the price for failing me." he sneered at him.
"I thank you lord Priapus" while bowing and not showing the god his small smile. The god was already playing his tune and he is unaware of it.
"Now my servant continue the attack." Nebiros signalled to resume attacking the devils on the ground.
Rias and Sona and both their peerage forced to crush their fear with anger as it was the only thing that can stop the shaking of their feet and body. Now they tried with everything they can to ready themselves for the next battle that may very well be the end for them. They all saw the mind-controlled army starts to fly towards them and the devils of kuoh begins to power up their magic and started to grip their weapons tighter than before.
'I'm so sorry everyone, if only I was stronger for you all.' Rias made her last thoughts for her family.
'I deeply apologies eldest sister, I wished I could see you one last time and say I never dislike you whatsoever despite your personality'. Sona thoughts on her beloved older sister Serafall.
All the devils in need started to pray for satans for strength and hope.
Just as when everything was over for them a miracle happened.
Something broke through the barrier above them making all of them including Nebiros and Priapus look up. A slightly large dark silver pillar pierced through the barrier making a large hole at the top and landed on the ground between them. Then a lone figure descended down the hole of the barrier and landed at top of the pillar.
Every person who's in their right mind was bewildered at the sight of what just happened. Rias and the other couldn't help but transfix at the person in front of them, standing on a pillar and way he was carrying himself by just standing up they concluded he/she is strong. very strong. Sona was just as shock and stared at the entity with pure fascination and curiosity as well as awe, she knew this person was the one that been slaying strays for the last couple of months. The one they call Kong.
I just stared up at the army in front before landing on the two figure that seemed to be the ones in charge. One I don't recognise while the other is one I know well enough that I really wanted to forget about. Just seeing him now is making blood boil in raging anger. I tightened my fist and it was close to drawing blood but I calmed myself down enough to think rationally even if it was just a little bit.
"You!" Priapus snarled and glared at me from where he is.
This made both Naberos and the devils behind instantly surprise forgetting their shock. 'They know each other' all the devils of kuoh thought.
"You know that person my lord?" Naberos asks curiously.
"Yes, one that I not only swore to the river Styx to not forget but also to have my revenge." Priapus seethed, he becoming red by the second with how angry he is.
"I see" then turn to look at me.
'This is turning to be very interesting development' thought while grinning in excitement. The he her his lord speak once again.
"So we meet again insect. I hope you remember what you have done to me so that I can make sure to let you regret every second of it!" Priapus shouted with pure arrogance.
"..."
"Hooh, did you by chance lost your voice since the last time we saw each other? heh or you becoming arrogant." Priapus sneered at the last one.
"..." I continue to refuse to make banter with the likes of him.
"Well, it does not truly whether you can speak now since the only thing I want to hear from you is nothing but pure screams of agony and suffering!"
"..."
"And once I have my fill and you will still be alive by then; I will make sure to resume of what I was going to do and make you watch as I take your sis...guegh" (smack).
"Renewal Roundhouse Kick" I sent the technique downwards and hitting on the back of his head sending him down on the ground at an amazing speed and once he hit the ground, it made a roughly a hundred meters in diameter also making a cloud of smoke. Shaking the entire ground and the barrier thus making lots of cracks on it.
I instantly moved and jump towards him with the intent to shut him up and ending him before he talks about anything else towards my family. Also, to keep my identity a secret before the scum starts to spout anything that connects to my real identity.
Everyone was once again at awe of what I did including Naberos.
"Such speed and power. It's no wonder we couldn't catch him before" Rias said with widened eyes. Kiba was not only surprised but also very fascinated to my speed.
"The strength of his kick, it much more stronger than mine even when at my full power as a rook." Koneko was also at awe. She also looked at and Rias and continued.
"Buchou, there really so mistaking it. I don't sense any magical energy in him and from his scent. He really a human." she said making Rias and all the others even more shock. To do this much damage to a divine being by a human.
It's supposed to be impossible. while they are some humans out in the while who can do the same feat but all of them were either given powerful magical objects and weapons and being born with a strong Sacred Gear and lastly have lots and potent magical energey they're born with.
But everything they know about humans have been completely shattered by what happening right in from of all of them.
"To think such a human to be this strong, devoided of magical powers and weapons actually exist" Sona said with a face filled with fascination and awe.
"Yes I completely agree with you president and I got a feeling it not over yet" Tsubaki stated.
When the dust clouded were clearing, I could see the scum of a god was still alive but barely and he is staring back at me with the eyes filled with uncontrollable anger and hatred to me. he was starting to open his mouth but I really had enough of his nonsense, so I wanted to finish him once and for all. Priapus eyes then widened his eyes in horror of what he saw me doing next.
While I was still in the air, I ready my right leg back for a kick and winds around me started to pick up and swirls all around my form. Sudden everyone saw something incredible, a visage of a large blue eastern dragon started to form behind me. Then I muttered.
"You talk too much"
"DanJin Original – Blue Dragon Kick"
I unleashed my attack towards the down god and once hit, a great explosion hit area everywhere and everyone was force to shield their eyes and many of them including the devils of kuoh as well as the mind-controlled army was blown back hard.
Moments later when everything settled every one of them saw the place of impact and was gasp in both horror and amazement. the place where Priapus laid is now more than just a massive crater but also a hole on the ground that goes hundreds of meters deep down the earth. Then I landed on the ground and stared at Naberos who's eyes shown with fascination, awe and slight of fear.
"Amazing, so much power." Akeno said while staring at my back.
"That thing is a human?" Kiba questioned.
"Wow" Gasper for the first time said something throughout this thing.
"What was that dragon just then?"
"I didn't sense anything coming from it, not even a sliver of magical power. An illusion?" Rias said in confusion
"Whatever it was, its power quite above of ultimate devil." Sona stated.
Naberos was angry, he lost his experimental product and shouted.
"Attack and kill him!" then I muttered.
"Sorry I have people special to me and I can't make them wait any longer. I need to end this quick now."
I raised my right hand towards the sky and said.
"Come Geundoowun"
The clouds above were moving in speed that looks like hurricane is here. Then loud thunder was heard the area making everyone look up in the sky in shock.
"Now Strike" (BOOM)
Multiple magical being of the army was taken down by lightning strikes. Once attack was settling the few remaining ones were going to stab me with their bladed weapons. I stood completely still as I already knew the outcome. Then I heard the people behind me shouted.
"Hey Lookout!"
"Watch out"
"Defend yourself!"
"Don't just stand there!"
I smirked and when the enemies' weapons reached me, all the blades shattered upon impact on my body. This result in everyone again surprised about my power. Then I finally called the last one that will finish this fight. A small purple cube appeared in front of me.
"Now Seventh Owner: The Circle kill the remaining foes"
The Circle changed shaped and multiply and morphed into needle spike, piercing all the enemies around me.
Flashback (couple moments earlier)
I was sprinting through the forest and getting close to the anomaly that I sensed. however, when I looked up the cloudy sky, I immediately stop. That's right now I am in my Partial Monkey King mode, I can sense virtually everything around me and when stared up on the clouds I instantly recognised it. I smiled and reached out my hand towards the sky and said.
"Are you with me?" the answer was lightning and thunder.
"Good, and what about you? Are you still loyal?" I ask. Then a purple cube just appeared at my side and its answer was going towards my face and it started to rub itself against my cheek making me chuckle.
"Alright then let's go" resuming my sprint heading to the anomaly.
I guess these two didn't appear before me earlier on because technically this is my first time activating this mode after awakening it before. Now both must have finally recognised me as their master.
Present
When everything died down, I looked around and noticed all the army is gone and what the looks of thing the one sitting down on the throne must have slipped off when I was taking care of his army.
'I must have scared him off, I wonder who that was.'
I turned around looked towards the devils governing the city I live in. They all were looking at me agape making me mentally chuckle. Then stared straight to Rias and she flinched.
"Who was the one sitting on the floating chair?" I asked her changing my voice slightly so they can't recognise it at school.
"Ah... ah...umm Naberos. An extra devil and a household name" she answered me with a slight fright.
"I see"
"Come Samsara" My Yeoui immediately went to my hand.
Right after that business, I turned to the direction of Kuoh and jump into the horizon ignoring their shout.
"Wait!"
"Please Hold!"
Both Rias and Sona shouted at me.
'hmm, in a way I kind of expected more of a challenge from what happened but I guess I was a surprise to all of them, including the enemy'.
When I got to the edge of the city, I transformed back to normal again and went straight home. And when I arrived my family greeted me.
"Oh Mori welcome back, you took a little while"
"Yup, I'm back Mom. Sorry got caught up on the party they were having hehe" then big sis called.
"So you got your present?"
"Yup"
"What was it, Mori" Ahan asks now wearing my gift for on her head making me smile.
"Oh it's in my bag, I opened it there. It's just a clothing"
"I see"
"And I see you guys started cleaning."
"Yup it is getting late after all"
"Hehe, okay then let me help"
After that I help my family cleaned up and once done we're heading to bed to get ready for tomorrow. Just as I was opening my door Ahan called out to me with a smile.
"What's up?" I smiled back. She then walks to me and leaned in; there she gave me a kiss on my cheek like before.
"Goodnight Mori" Ahan said to me before going to her room leaving me staring where she once was.
I just smile and went into bed and sleeps.
Ahan Dream
"You're amazing you know."
"The hero protecting the world"
"..."
"But you have to come back no matter what"
"You have to..."
Then she opens her eyes waking up.
Not understanding the dream but she felt with all her being that she knows what it was about despite not knowing.
It's been exactly a month since then and some seems to have change even a little but for the most part it was still quite the same. But what change is Ahan, my younger sibling. She has been quite clingy to me lately, ever since Christmas. But didn't see any wrong with it so I didn't question her.
Currently I was walking to school but ever since that start of a new term Ahan had been on my side every morning going to the Academy, and each time she reached out and started to hold my hand. We held each other's hand till we get to our classroom seats. Yes, that's right 'our classroom seats' because when we got back to school after new year's Ahan suddenly became very driven about skipping a year and begin as a high school first years just like me.
After a few hurdles, test and our Mom as well as big sister help, Ahan manages to skip an entire year and go straight to the same classroom and year as me. I never seen her like this before. Both Mom and Yong were sceptical with the idea at first but Ahan was very determined for it and both of the decided to help her. I did as well, as much as can.
So now near the end of January I've gotten used to holding hands with Ahan going to school while completely ignoring the looks we kept getting from other people. I turned my head to look at her and she looked back at me with that same beautiful smile she's giving me lately. I smiled back and continued on.
It was strange however, when I look at Ahan I feel something in my gut that I can't understand, though at the same time I do. That's why it was strange as it feels like I also know why she smiles at me like and why I smile back like I do, but for the life of me I couldn't help feel I could not understand yet I feel that I do.
'(sigh) I'm I'll figure it out some day'.
Omake
I was staring at a guy right in front of me wearing Chinese clothing and has black short spiky hair and dark eyes. He was also holding a long spear. Alongside him must be his comrades.
"So what do you want from me?" making him smirk and spoke.
"I've seen you power and what you can do, and I want you to join me and my faction."
"What faction?"
"The Hero Faction, we are all humans who descendants and/or connected to the heroes before us and many others who have incredible powers."
"Heroes huh?" I said with a flat face. So ask him.
"So what exactly is you and your factions' goal?" He just keeps smirking and answered.
"I fully intend to make the human race the stronge..."(Smack)
I uppercut the guy in front me on his chin and sent straight towards space and slammed on the moon.
I stared at my fist still in position and then towards the guy's comrades and I said in total confusion.
"I...I don't know why I did that"
"He Pissed me off all of a sudden"
"huh, he reminded of some with a punchable face"
Then they attacked me and I kicked all of their asses.

Hey guys it while, sorry for being so late. I was completely busy with my study and also coming up with ideas for this story and maybe some others as well, ones I'll make in the future. Now I have more to for this story.

Rant
Hey guys this is just me ranting about the latest chapter of the God of Highschool Webtoon. I hope you don't mind.
In the latest chapter it was kind of a shocker that when it comes to couple shipping, many people were kind of split with the revelation of Mori Confessed to Ahan and becoming lovers.
Some agreed, happy and okay with it despite everything else, but there were others that were in complete denial of it.
The people whose against Mori and Ahan Together as lovers have only three reasons why they can't accept it despite some evidence on the chapter.
1. Sibling status
2. The feelings of grossness, weird and strangeness.
3. NO! MY SHIP
Somehow those people cannot either forgot or just keep on denying that both of them are not related by blood. And they don't care even if their called step siblings, so long that the word sibling and brother and sister are attached to their relationship status, It not right. Just because the word sibling. Also this connects to number 2 as well.
They also only care of what they feel about the two when seeing them together in that light. It feels gross and weird, so it not right, they shouldn't be together. That's their answer for it.
Lastly which is pretty simple and it connects to all the numbers above. Their ship didn't sail so they hate it. Kind of reminds me about the ending of naruto where he chose hinata and not sakura. Oh boy.
There was also one reason I found; they're calling it 'Mistranslation'. The only mistranslation they kept saying is mostly about after Mori said he like Ahan. In the webtoon mori said 'in this whole universe, I like you the best' and the other people who couldn't accept said the original Korean translation mori said 'you are the most important person to me in the universe'.
Those people couldn't accept Mori and Ahan as lovers are saying that the latter is more a sibling speech rather than a romantic one. But it's so obvious, even that line can be considered to be a romantic one as well, if you say that to you love partner it would still makes sense since they are importance to you.
So I don't know why using this so called 'mistranslation' is evidence enough that Mori only likes Ahan as just a sister, step sister who again is not by blood.
Their relationship is similar to the two characters in the TV show The Flash. Both of them are step sibling and they love each other enough to marry one another, and lots of people accepted. Of course, in the comics they were married but that's irrelevant to the matter.
The biggest evidence of all is Mori's speech after Ahan told him to back and he have to.
Mori suddenly became nervous to what he was going to say and told Ahan that the world is big and that his worries are small and insignificant in comparison. That means Mori was worried about their status as siblings and it because of now his new feelings for he.
Then after Mori said that it pointless to agonize and lay low while worrying what other people think. This means he was also worried about what people would think about if he and Ahan became together and now, he decided that it's pointless for both to hide their feelings and their relationship as lovers.
Finally, throughout the time Mori was going around the universe he said he doesn't know what right and kept thinking thousands of times and concluded the logic is small and unimportant compared to the universe and to what he had become.
All of that leads to one thing to what Mori said next "That I should just do what i want".
Well he did just that.
Mori does not care if Ahan is his sister, he most likely won't care even if they were blood related.
Mori does not care about his worries.
Mori does not care about what people would think about them as lovers.
After that he finally confessed and Ahan accepted and said it was already a given. Means that she had feeling for him for a long time, probably in the final arc.
Those people don't like the ship will just ignore all of the evidence and not go deeper to what mori said before his confession. Mostly because it felt goss and weird and that their siblings and that's all they care about. Also because their ship didn't sail.
Can't just be happy for Mori to find that kind of love again after Xuanzang. I mean Mubong had Judge P after his first love died, so Ahan is for Mori after Xuanzang.
For I personally ship Mori with Xuanzang and throughout I was hoping that in some way she'll get resurrected and be with him again but that didn't happen, and then Mori chose to be with Ahan and I was okay with that.
After everything Mori has been through, he deserves that kind of love no matter who it is and she will make him happy.
Phew, sorry I just wanted that out of my system.
