Hello, bots and cons. Centurion here and welcome back to Dustformers: Season 2. In the last chapter, Warpath joins up with the Autobots and lets them know about Straxus and his forces fighting Autobots still on Cybertron. That's not the only surprise in this chapter, however. Impactor is on Remnant and meets the Autobots and kids with the Autobots exclaiming in complete and utter shock.

Now, let's dive back into Wreck 'n' Rule!

*Remnant. Vale. 30 kilometers outside Vale City Limits. Abandoned Warehouse. 6:01 am*

Jaune, Weiss, and Wasp were at the warehouse where Winter and the other Atlesian Military defects were as Jaune wanted to go there deliberately. "I just want to apologize for what I said to you a while back. I know you were just following orders and you wanted to do something, but couldn't. I was just so angry and consumed with the guilt of Bumblebee's death that I couldn't see the bigger picture. I'm so sorry, Winter."

"All I've wanted to do for the last while is to apologize to you, Jaune. I just wanted to do what I thought was best, but you kids and the Autobots defending Atlas opened my eyes. Unfortunately, Ironwood doesn't see it that way. I'm so sorry." Winter was legitimately close to bawling her eyes out as tears were threatening to spill out.

Jaune walked up to Winter and hugged her. "Hey, it's okay. You've realized that the Autobots want to defend us, and you're willing to help us. That counts for something." Winter was shocked at his action, but returned the hug nonetheless with a growing smile on her face.

"Finally!" Yang exclaimed as she and the others walked through the ground bridge. "Before you ask, we heard everything. We're glad you two are making up."

"Luckily, we brought enough Atlesian military tech with us to replicate. Don't worry, we disabled all the tracking devices." Private Bueller reassured. "We want to repent for our mistakes."

"Besides, you saved us. It's time we return the favor." Private Garcia smiled.

"By the way, how are the new Autobots holding up on Remnant?" Dr. Clovis asked in curiosity.

"Warpath's handling of things is great. Impactor… let's just say they're not nearly as happy to see him." Nora sheepishly said.

*Vale. Vale Forest. The Ark. Main Lobby. 6:51 am*

"WHAT IN THE GODDAMN HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE, IMPACTOR?!" Ironhide shouted in pure rage. "Last anyone heard, you went AWOL!"

"You all made it perfectly clear I wasn't allowed with the Autobots anymore!" Impactor retorted.

"You executed prisoners, Impactor! Mercilessly!" Ratchet yelled angrily.

"We needed information! Besides, if one of them escaped, the Decepticons would've given Megatron the extra intel he needed to destroy Iacon even further!" Impactor continued.

"That doesn't excuse killing prisoners! You were the leader of the Wreckers!" Wildfire reminded.

"Like that title actually matters since I left." Impactor coldly retorted. "From what I heard, Springer's been doing pretty well bearing that role. It's clear I'm not wanted here, so I'll just take my leave. I'd say it was nice to see you all again, but I'd be lying." He transformed into an APC and drove off.

"What was all that about?" Ruby asked, frightened as well as confused.

"Just seeing a killer off." Ratchet growled.

"Killer? What did Impactor do?" Blake asked.

"Whenever we captured Decepticon prisoners, Impactor would take it upon himself to interrogate them. However, when any one of us went to the prison camp, every prisoner Impactor 'interrogated' wound up dead. It was unfortunate to find out Impactor was killing prisoners mercilessly because he was the leader of the Wreckers at the time." Ironhide explained with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Wreckers?" Nora asked, tilting her head in curiosity.

"The Wreckers were an Autobot combat unit that operated outside the normal chain of command." Optimus answered. "They accepted missions no one else would, and many of them did not come back."

"Wow. Black-Ops. So, Impactor was the leader of this unit?" Yang now asked, getting more and more interested in the Wreckers.

"He was until we found out what he did to the prisoners. Once that was found out, he was stripped of his rank and booted out of the Autobots." Ratchet continued. "He's been AWOL ever since that solar cycle. This is the first time anyone has seen him again."

"Ironhide, I noticed you scolded him even more than you did with Grimlock back in Atlas. Why?" Weiss asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." Ironhide said, walking off, Nora following after him.

Nora caught up to Ironhide. "Ironhide, what happened between you and Impactor? You can tell me."

"I really don't want to talk about it, Nora." Ironhide growled.

"Well, too bad. I'm not moving from this spot until you do." Nora growled back. Ironhide softly sighed. Spending enough time with her, he knew Nora was incredibly stubborn and that was something admirable. However, he couldn't talk to her at the moment and just walked off with a sad sigh. Nora looked on with a sad look of her own.

*Vale. Vale Forest. The Ark. Wheeljack's Quarters. 7:30 am*

Wheeljack was still unconscious in his quarters. Suddenly, a few minutes later, he woke up with a headache. "What hit me?" He asked out loud with a change in his voice box. Getting up, he went to what looked to be a secret weapons locker where he brought out a pair of Energy Katanas. "Been a while since I've used these." In a surprising move, he took off his shoulder-mounted cannon and put it in the locker.

In another move, he took out a Shock Grenade and attached it to his hip joint. "Okay. Time to get some practice in." He began carefully swinging his swords.

*Atlas. Atlas Military Headquarters. General Ironwood's Quarters. 8:12 am*

General Ironwood was performing, or rather attempting his own experiment. He'd found a bit of Energon from one of the deceased Transformers and grew curious. So, he took a vial of it to his quarters and electric dust. Luckily, Atlas was the only place on Remnant that could mine dust, or as far as they knew. He was being as careful as he could be.

"Okay, just a little bit over here." He muttered to himself out loud. He carefully added a drop of Energon to a small part of the electric dust crystal which surprisingly started breaking the crystal down to a liquid state. Ironwood's eyes widened in surprise at what he was seeing. "Incredible." A few seconds and he got liquid electric dust. Taking out his scroll, he recorded what he had discovered. "Through my own experimentation, I have discovered that Energon actually breaks down the dust crystal's structure into a liquid state. This will definitely add a kick to Atlas's weaponry."

Taking out an empty, uncontaminated vial, he very carefully inserted the liquid electric dust/energon mixture into it. He then placed it in his coat pocket. Right after, a knock on his door brought him out of his musings. "Enter."

General Faust entered with a smile on her face. "I have good news, General Ironwood. Project: Cyber Warrior has been restarted on schedule. We already have a new, more stable prototype called Snowblade by combining parts from Snowbreak and Chillblade. Not only that, but Iron Phantom wasn't as damaged as we thought, nor was Private Lodestone. He's expected to make a full recovery."

Hearing all of that, General Ironwood gained a large grin. "That is very good news indeed, General Faust. Most excellent."

"We still have enough of this Energon to power the two up, but only the two. How are things going on your end?" General Faust asked.

At that point, General Ironwood took out the Dust Energon mixture vial and held it in front of General Faust. "I have made Dust Energon by combining a dust crystal with energon which broke it down to a liquid state."

"Very fascinating, sir." General Faust said in partial awe. "Soon, Atlas will rise as the top city in Remnant with these technological advancements."

"Agreed, but we must learn more about our alien visitors." General Ironwood said. "Atlas isn't out of this yet."

*Mistral. 100 KMs Outside Mistral Grand City. 10:10 am*

"Are you sure this will work?" Strikecharge asked, curious.

"You really should know better than to question Shockwave, Strikecharge." Bloodsurge retorted.

"I'm not taking that from a mere sparkling." Strikecharge growled resulting in Bloodsurge growling back and getting ready to attack when Hypnotica stopped him.

"Calm down, Bloodsurge. He isn't worth your time." Hypnotica reassured.

"Mother is right, Bloodsurge." Abyssica agreed. "Strikecharge's cranial chamber is still very clouded by seeking revenge on Arcknight."

"Why, you little…!" Strikecharge was about to attack the femme sparkling when Cindershot stopped him.

"Focus on the objective, Strikecharge, lest you incur Megatron's wrath again." Cindershot reminded with a growl. Strikecharge growled back, but didn't retaliate and instead went back to his task whilst Cindershot looked on with disappointment. "He's too consumed with revenge after what happened to Crossvolt." He then looked at the other Decepticons. "How is the objective progressing, Abysswing?"

"It is proceeding excellently despite the bungling of some others, Cindershot." Abysswing reported with a cruel smile. "The device should be operational within two solar cycles provided we have no interference from the Autobots, of course."

"I see. So, Project Mindfazer is coming close to completion." Cindershot smirked.

"It comes from Shockwave, so it's bound to work." Manic grinned.

"He did make the Commandos, after all, and brought the Insecticons into our fold." Maul reminded.

"Including Sly Strike." Meanstrike muttered.

"Do you have what the humans and faunus call a crush, Meanstrike?" Manic teased.

"No, just admiring certain comrades, that's all." Meanstrike quickly retorted.

"When this device is completed, Mindfazer will steal the minds of everyone in Mistral and keep them within it's storage unless they surrender all their energy sources to the Decepticons." Shockwave explained.

"This is ingenious, Shockwave." Gustav Max commented.

"It's Shockwave, the one who brought us life. Do you expect anything less from our creator?" Maelstrom asked rhetorically.

"True that." Smart Strike muttered stoically.

"Shockwave, can Project Mindfazer steal Cybertronian consciousness?" Subterror asked curiously.

"Of course it can, Subterror. It wouldn't be logical to only steal human and faunus consciousness." Shockwave answered in pure monotone.

"Incredible how you think up some of these things, Shockwave." Abysswing commented. "Your genius is impeccable."

"Naturally, Abysswing. I have contributed to the Decepticons in ways you cannot imagine." Shockwave responded. "Now, let us focus on completing Project Mindfazer." With that, they returned to completing Shockwave's newest device.

*Vale. Southern Vale Ocean. The Nemesis. Starscream's Quarters. 10:24 am*

Starscream punched the wall in his quarters in anger. "Shockwave goes to Mistral all proud with Megatron's immediate approval for this Project: Mindfazer while I'm disgraced and confined to my quarters!" He growled. "I must assume my rightful place as Decepticon leader, but how to do it?" He began pacing around in his quarters. He then snapped his fingers. "I think I may have it…"

Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked the second part of Wreck 'n' Rule. Ironhide and Impactor get into a shouting match before Impactor takes his leave, Jaune officially apologizes to Winter for his attitude towards her, Wheeljack strangely begins practicing with swords, and attaches a Shock Grenade to his hip joint. A little thing is that Ironhide seems to dislike Impactor more so than he dislikes Grimlock.

In Atlas, General Ironwood has managed to make liquid electric dust with a combination of electric dust and energon. Atlas isn't out of the game yet. They've just been biding their time. Not to mention Project: Cyber Warrior has restarted even without Dr. Lucas Clovis. Essentially, Ironwood has made Dust Energon.

Now, I know there wasn't any action on Cybertron seen in this part, but we will go back to Cybertron very soon. Another thing is that I'm sorry there wasn't much fighting in this chapter, but there will be in the next part.

On the other hand, we revisit Mistral and see Strikecharge, the Grimmcons, Commandos, Abyssica, Bloodsurge, Hypnotica, and Shockwave constructing something in that area called Mindfazer which can steal the consciousness of humans, faunus, and Transformers alike. Shockwave is diabolical indeed.

Lastly, we revisit Starscream in his quarters, thinking up a new scheme to usurp Megatron's position as Decepticon leader, all the while grumbling about Shockwave and Project: Mindfazer.

As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me. See you all in the next part of Wreck 'n' Rule!

PS: This is building up to something special with one of the other kids.
