Hello, bots and cons. Centurion here and welcome back to Dustformers: Season 2. In the last chapter, the group went to Vacuo after being told to go there by Asteria. Once in Vacuo, the group search and find a strange relic only to wind up getting caught by the Atlas Military, only to escape once again thanks to Wheeljack. Elita walks off after hearing the name Asteria, and finally, a Hot Rod cameo.

Now, speaking of Hot Rod, I have an idea of how to handle him in this story thanks to a Youtube comment in the video The Basics of Hot Rod by Chris Mcfreely. Credit for this idea goes to him and his great, highly informative content.

These people give me ideas for chapters I work on and for future ideas and for that, I deeply thank them. I hope for their continued support as well as yours.

Now, let's transform and roll out cause this one has been a long time coming and I greatly thank Mobian for this one. We're heading into the Mystery of Avalon!

*Atlas. Atlas Military Headquarters. General Ironwood's Quarters. 17:39 pm*

Needless to say, General Ironwood was not happy. He was told that they had the kids in Vacuo. Soon, they would gain more information regarding the Transformers. Then, he was told that they lost them. He angrily slammed his fist onto his desk. "We need more intel about these aliens!" Taking a few deep breaths, he managed to calm down. "Those kids must be back in our possession. If we don't get them back, all of Remnant is in danger."

*Vale. Vale City. Schnee Residence. Weiss's Room. 22:19 pm*

Weiss had fallen asleep on her desk with the relic they found back in Vacuo. However, like with the relic Jaune had, it started glowing a light blue. Weiss never woke back up, so she didn't notice this.

*Weiss's Dreamscape. Unknown Time.*

"Uuunnnh…" Weiss groaned as she stood up. "Looks like I'm back in the dreamscape."

"Weiss Schnee. It is nice to see you again." Asteria said with a smile.

"Asteria? You're back again this soon?" Weiss asked back.

"Indeed. There's a great secret hidden on Remnant." Asteria continued. "The lost city of Avalon."

"Avalon?" Weiss tilted her head in confusion. "The mythical city? It's real?"

"It certainly is, Weiss. It's here, but there are clues to it's location hidden all over your planet." Asteria continued.

"Where's the first clue, then?" Weiss asked, becoming very interested. Unknown to anyone except her mother and sister, Weiss was a massive history nut.

"On the continent of the sea of sands." Asteria answered cryptically before engulfing the dreamscape in a bright light.

*Vale. Vale City. Schnee Residence. Weiss's Room. 22:25 pm*

Weiss woke up panting heavily. "Vacuo…" She whispered. She would have to tell everyone this in the morning.

Suddenly, Willow and Winter, who was staying over for the night, ran into Weiss's room. "My little snowflake. Are you alright?" Willow asked.

"I'm okay, Mother." Weiss smiled as she hugged her mother. "I just had a strange dream."

"What about?" Winter asked out of curiosity.

"Have you two ever read about Avalon?" Weiss asked back.

"The mythical city? What about it?" Willow tilted her head a bit.

"It's real." Weiss responded with utmost seriousness.

"What?" Willow and Winter asked at the same time.

*Vale. Vale Forest. The Ark. Main Lobby. 7:01 am*

Weiss had gathered everyone, including the parents, and brought them to the Ark. Once there, she told everyone about her dream involving Asteria and her mentioning Avalon. "If Asteria mentioned it, then it must be real." Elita-1 stated. "And what she said before ending the conversation alludes to Vacuo."

"That's where we were when we were almost captured by the Atlas Military if not for Wheeljack with the save." Yang reminded.

"You're welcome." Wheeljack smiled under his faceplate.

"Irondick is getting desparate to capture you kids for any kind of information about Transformers." Qrow pointed out.

"Well, that's where Asteria said the first clue is." Weiss voiced.

"I guess we're going back to Vacuo." Jaune muttered. "Well, we'd better get packed. Any bots coming with us?"

"I am, first of all." Elita-1 declared.

"Elita?" Optimus asked in concern.

"I'm interested in this Avalon and Asteria mentioned it." Elita-1 said. "I'm going to Vacuo, no questions asked."

"Alright, but be careful. You're not going alone. Ironhide, Pursuit, Wasp, and Snipewing will join you. The rest of us will stay behind on alert." Optimus ordered.

"Yes, sir." Snipewing saluted.

"Be careful, my little Valkyrie." Thora hugged Nora.

"I will, Mommy." Nora whispered back.

"We'll be careful. Besides, we can't afford not to be with the Decepticons and the Atlas Military on our asses." Yang commented.

"The good news is that they don't know about Avalon." Weiss brought up. "Though I feel one or the other will find out sooner or later. Hopefully, neither will find out."

"Well, what're we waiting for?" Ruby asked rhetorically. "We should get going to Vacuo!"

"We'll be careful." Blake reassured them as they and the five Autobots selected went through the ground bridge.

*Vacuo. Vacuo Grand Desert. 8:12 am*

The group was back in Vacuo and searching for the first clue to Avalon. Unknown to everyone else, Weiss had brought the relic she found in this same desert with her, thinking it could help in some way.

"Anything yet?" Yang asked.

"Not yet, but we're keeping an eye out." Ren answered.

"Weiss? Are you sure that Asteria said that the first clue is in Vacuo?" Ruby asked, wanting to be absolutely.

"Asteria wouldn't have mentioned Vacuo if she wasn't sure the first clue wasn't here." Weiss retorted.

"Fair enough there, Weiss, but we just want to make sure we're not on a wild goose chase." Blake reasoned.

Weiss sighed. She couldn't really fault her friends for thinking that. "I'm sorry, Blake. I know you don't mean anything by it."

"Guys, we need to focus on finding this supposed clue." Elita said with utmost seriousness. "The sooner we do that, the sooner we find Avalon." She instantly went back to searching. The others noticed her change in attitude.

"What's with Elita?" Wasp asked.

"I don't know." Snipewing answered. "I've never seen her like this before."

"This must be personal for her." Pursuit voiced quietly.

"Probably. Would be shocked if it wasn't." Ironhide commented. Just then, they heard a growing noise heading their way. "Incoming!" They all got out of the way as a small ship crashed in the sand. "Ironhide to Optimus Prime! We've got a downed ship! We are unclear if it's Autobot or Decepticon!"

"Copy, Ironhide." Optimus replied calmly. A ground bridge opened and Zig, Zag, Wildfire, Hound, and Ratchet came through. What came out was something or rather, someone they didn't expect, less so than when Impactor showed up.

"Hey, everybody!" Hot Rod shouted, his hand high in the air.

"Hot Rod?!" Elita-1 exclaimed with wide optics.

"Elita!" Hot Rod ran to Elita and hugged her. After a minute, Elita smiled and hugged him back. "It's good to see all of you."

"Wish we could say the same, Mr. Reckless." Zag snidely commented as she and Zig walked past him without even a second glance. Hot Rod gained a slightly sad look on his faceplate which Elita noticed.

"You look so cool!" Yang cheered.

"Who and what are you eight?" Hot Rod asked, lowering himself to their level.

"These are humans and faunus, the natives of Remnant." Elita-1 responded.

"I'm Yang Xiao Long." Yang introduced herself with a smile. "This is Ruby Rose, Blake Belladonna, Weiss Schnee, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie, and Lie Ren. We've been helping the Autobots out. Hell, Jaune, Nora, Weiss, and Ruby are able to become Transformers themselves."

"Really? That's incredible!" Hot Rod shouted.

"Thanks. Jaune even took out a Decepticon named Crossvolt." Yang continued.

"Now, that's an achievement you shouldn't take lightly." Hot Rod smiled at Jaune who smiled slightly back. Unknown to them, Laserbeak was spying on them. Weiss's relic started glowing in her bag which he noticed. Taking it out, she followed the increasing glow when she stopped. Digging for a few minutes, she acquired a scroll of some kind.

"Guys! I found something!" Weiss shouted and the others ran to her. "It looks to be a scroll of some kind."

"Interesting." Elita pondered. "Let's head back to base. This may be the first clue to finding Avalon." The Autobots and kids went through their ground bridge while Laserbeak proceeded to fly back to Decepticon Headquarters.

*Southern Vale Ocean. The Nemesis. Main Hall. 8:45 am*

Laserbeak made it and had replayed what he'd heard. "Avalon…" Megatron pondered. "So, it's here." Megatron stood up. "Decepticons, keep on extra alert for the Autobots. This is a race we cannot afford to lose." His eyes were shining a little brighter than usual.

Hello, everyone. I hope everyone liked the first part of the Mystery of Avalon. Elita-1 shows a rare case of utmost seriousness not seen before, Hot Rod finally gets to Remnant and has a tender moment with Elita, but not everyone's pleased to see Hot Rod, especially Zig and Zag, and of course, Laserbeak just happens to be there when they find the first clue. Finally, Megatron seems to know about Avalon which is not good, not at all.

Speaking of the hug between Hot Rod and Elite, it's because this Hot Rod sees Elita as a kind of mother-figure. Now, this part isn't as long as the parts to come and there's little to no action, so I hope people don't mind that as longer parts and action will be coming very, very soon.
