Alison's Point of View
Darkness had told me we had arrived. She had long taken over my body in order to find Molly. "Shadow's connection with Light has been severed," Darkness stated.
"What does that mean?" I questioned.
"It means we have to be prepared. Stay behind me," Darkness ordered.
"Why?"
Four people appeared before me. Brittany and Molly were closer to the platform's edge while two others stood in front of them. The one in front of Brittany was a woman with long silver hair and shining grey eyes wearing a silver tee-length dress, and the other was a woman with long blond hair and ocean-blue eyes wearing a white floor-length gown.
The blond woman looked annoyed to be there. "Really, must we do this in front of the children? I'm not sure why we have to do this at all. I'm not hurting anyone," She said.
"You leave us no choice. Return Molly as she was, or else, Light," Darkness demanded.
"Or else what? There's nothing you can do," the blond woman replied. I understood. The blond woman was Light, which would make the other woman Shadow.
Darkness had told me to stay behind her, but I couldn't just stand to the side and do nothing. "Fight it, Molly. You have to fight her," I tried.
"Fight Mother? That would be wrong," Molly replied.
"Alison, don't. Let us handle this," Darkness insisted.
"Molly, they want to take you away from me, so stay behind me so I can protect you," Light instructed.
"Yes, Mother," Molly agreed.
"What have you done to her?! Why are you telling her lies?!" Brittany screamed.
"It's clear that you will not bargain. So be it," Shadow growled.
"You've made your choice, and now we all must pay the price," Darkness accused.
The world spun around us until we weren't on the platform anymore. We were inside our own bodies in a foreign place that I assumed to be Scala Ad Caelum. Shadow and Light emerged from Alison and Molly and hovered over them as ghostly see-through figures. My body moved on its own, and I summoned my keyblade at the same time as Brittany and Molly. "I can't move! I'm not doing this!" I exclaimed.
"Wait, no, stop!" Brittany suggested.
Molly stared blankly, though I suspected Light was in control of her as well.
Brittany and I began to fight Molly against our will. "Stop it! Please!" Brittany begged.
"Mother, I'm scared. Can you take over and let me go back inside?" Molly asked.
"She's not your mother, Molly!" I shrieked in frustration.
Molly held up surprisingly well as we swung at her. She landed a powerful hit on me, and I felt a surge of pain. Though the pain hurt, what hurt more was what it implied. "Brittany, I felt that! Molly will be able to feel it, too, if we land any hits on her!"
Brittany's face twisted in horror as she kept swinging at Molly, though Molly managed to block all her hits. I recovered and swung hard at Molly while she was distracted with Brittany. Molly gasped for air as she fell backward. Darkness stopped, holding me in place. Molly was about to get up when Brittany kicked her back to the ground. Brittany held her blade above her head for what appeared to be her getting ready for a final blow. "No!" I screamed, but the blow never came. I saw Brittany struggling with herself, her keyblade frozen in place, aside from twitching caused by the war within herself. Darkness started taking me to Molly's body, but I used all my strength and willpower to freeze myself in place. Molly recovered and knocked Brittany back. I refused to react, fearing it would allow Darkness to retake control.
"Molly, is this what you want? This can stop, but you have to be strong and fight back. Don't let Light have her way with you," I tried.
"Fight back..." Molly trailed off. She hit Brittany again. "Fight back," Molly repeated. When she went to hit Brittany again, Brittany seemed to lose control and blocked before trying to swing at Molly.
Molly dodged Brittany's swing and went to thrust her keyblade through Brittany but stopped less than an inch from Brittany's heart. "I won't be used by you any longer!" Molly screamed. She turned her keyblade to point at herself. "This ends now."
"Molly, don't do that!" I exclaimed. I was too late. She pierced her own chest and fell to the ground. A ball of light rose from her chest.
Brittany and I regained control of our bodies, and tears poured from our eyes as we vanished our keyblades. Deep within my heart, I felt anger, but it wasn't mine. It was Darkness's. I was too miserable to care. My sister had died right in front of me. I hovered over her body and took her hand to feel her cold, lifeless- "Wait..." I wiped the tears out of my eyes to see a slight but noticeable rise and fall of her chest. "Brittany, she's still alive!"
Brittany stopped her sobs. "What?"
"Look, she's breathing!"
"Not for long."
Darkness used my body to bring my keyblade back out, and I readied myself to stab her. Brittany couldn't seem to move to stop me. "What are you doing?!" I gasped.
"She's not your sister anymore. All that's left is Light. We have to stop her now before it's too late."
"I can't just-" I stopped when I heard Molly mumble something.
"Alison. Brittany." Molly's eye's fluttered open.
"Don't listen. You're being fooled. That's Light."
I stopped Darkness from going any further. Something didn't sit right with me. The anger Darkness felt was so strong that it seemed out of place. She had no qualms about hurting Molly before. It was almost like she had lost a... sister. Resisting suddenly became ten times as easy as everything made sense. "You're not worried about Light hurting us. You're worried about us finding out your secret. We can get rid of you ourselves."
"Do you even hear yourself? You're being ridiculous."
"Light is gone, isn't she? Molly removed her. That ball of light wasn't Molly's heart; it was Light herself. And now you're worried that we'll do the same thing."
"Alison, you're being outrageous."
I pointed my keyblade to my chest. "Am I?" I questioned.
"No! Stop that!"
"Aly!" Brittany exclaimed.
I smiled at Brittany. "It's okay." I took a deep breath. "Time to end this." I stabbed myself just enough to remove Darkness from my heart before everything went black.
Almost done. I have two more chapters ahead before I'll have three epilogues, one for each girl. Thanks for reading.
