Ryuken sat at the table across from Hanna Aizen Kuchiki. He noticed that she was not the well-polished wife of a Kuchiki but that of a woman slowly trying to hold on to a reality of her own making.
At the next table sat Yumichika Ayasegawa Madarame who, currently, is trying her best to change her maiden name to Kuchiki due to stating that her father is Sojun Kuchiki.
Ryuken cleared his throat signaling that he was about to begin. The audio recording was activated, and the camera was on for the "The Boss" and his group to see the interview. In the room behind the small one-way mirror stood Kanae, Shunsui, Ikkaku, Kenpachi and three of his top agents and Yachiru Kasajishi. Yachiru was part of Ryuken's surveillance team and worked with government agencies to apprehend rogue criminals. Standing in the room behind Ryuken was Rose Otoribashi and Love Aikawa. They stood on either side of the door that was directly behind Ryuken.
Ryuken began to speak. He gave the date and time. He also listed the people in the room including himself. He further informed for legal reasons the named that he will use of each person in the room.
Yumichika spoke first. "Why am I here? I do not want to be here. I want to be with my brother and my father, Sojun", she said with an annoyance. She started to stand and leave the room. "Where is Byakuya?"
"Sit down Yumichika!" Ryuken said with an equal force back at her. "You are the only attorney here who will be acting attorney for Hanna Aizen Kuchiki. This was approved by Byakuya Kuchiki, head of Kuchiki Corporation. So please, sit down and do your job." Ryuken handed her a copy of the paperwork that was signed by Byakuya and witnessed by Ryuken himself.
Yumi read over the paper and sighed as she sat down at her assigned table. She looked over at Hanna who had placed her hands over her ears and started to silently sob.
"Hanna", Ryuken called out to her. She did not respond. "Hanna", he said more forcibly. She stops sobbing and looked up at Ryuken. She smiled as she focused on him and not Yumi.
He looked back at her as he started to recite to her the Miranda Rights. She started yelling at him, but he continued to recite it as it was being recorded. He concluded and looked at Yumi to get the attention of her client. Hanna did not listen and continued to yell. Ryuken yelled at Hanna to stop. She did.
He had her attention as he introduced Yumi as her attorney. Hanna looked at Yumi with a look of disgust and looked away.
Ryuken started by asking Hanna did she have any questions before they got started. She looked at him with a look of concern.
"How is my Husband? Where is Sojun? Why has he not come for me?"
Ryuken looked at her. "Hanna, Sojun and Sosuke got in a fight over you." He paused. "Hanna," he took a deep breath, "Hanna, Sojun is dead."
Yumi gasped and Hanna started yelling at Ryuken that he was a liar. He allowed both Yumi and Hanna a minute to compose themselves before he started to question them. He thought it was strange she did not ask about Sosuke.
"Let us get started," he said as he started to write on his pad keeping track of notes, "Hanna, what is your relationship to Sosuke Aizen?"
Hanna looked a Ryuken and gave a slight smile. "Ryuken, are we going to go there. You know what my relationship is to Sosuke Aizen."
Yumi butted in and told Hanna that she must answer for the record.
"Shut up you! I can talk to Ryuken because he knows me. So, sit there Yumichika and be quiet." Hanna rolled her eyes at Yumichika and turned her attention back to Ryuken.
"Please answer for the record, Hanna."
"Sosuke is my nephew. He is my brother's son. I have been around him all his life." Hanna said with a simple smile. Ryuken was writing in his notepad.
"So, Hanna, which means you knew Sosuke's mother." He noticed that Hanna mood had changed. He looked at Yumichika who looked a little nervous. He made more notes on his pad. "Well, tell me what was her name? I have his birth certificate and neither his father nor his mother's name is on the certificate. But I was able to get a copy of your legal guardianship of a one-week-old baby boy Aizen."
Hanna tried to shift in her seat but found it difficult to move being handcuffed to the table by her hands and feet. Yumichika asked for a pad and pen to write. She started to take her role more seriously as she sat closer to Hanna. Ryuken looked over his shoulder at Love but looked passed him. He nodded and turned back to assess the scene in front of him.
As they looked on, Kanae and Shunsui's phone vibrated, and they both looked at the caller ID. It was Byakuya. Shunsui nodded and left the room. Kanae watched Shunsui leave the room. She put her attention back to the interview room.
Ryuken sighed as he began to talk. "Yumi, I want to inform you of something I failed to tell you" Ryuken leaned forward and placed his elbows on the table. "Sosuke Senior was a friend of mine. In fact, Gin Ichimaru, Cecil Tosen, Shunsui Kyoraku, Sojun Kuchiki were all friends with Sosuke Senior, Hanna's brother. Remember Hanna," Ryuken paused for a few seconds, "we all served in the militia together."
He looked at Hanna. She looked shocked and wondered how much he knew. Ryuken gave a slight smile and then looked at Yumichika. He noticed that she started to look a little uneasy. She tried to look unfazed but as always, he picked up on slightest changes in people.
After a minute, Ryuken decided to move on.
"Any questions before I move on?"
"About Sojun, can I ask how my husband died? How did Sojun die?"
Ryuken thought before he answered. "Sojun was shot." He wanted to keep his answered short and precise because he also wanted to keep Yumichika at bay from adding to the conversation.
Hanna started to cry again and say how much she loved him. He let her cry for a minute. Yumichika showed no emotions. That was very interesting. He opened his folder and pulled out another piece of paper.
"Now, Hanna, tell me about Byakuya's birth mother? Did you know her?" Ryuken noticed that Hanna mood was changing. More combative.
"Yeah, I knew her. She never wanted him. She was after Sojun's money. When he came home from school, she gave him something to drink. Something like a roofie. She had sex with him. He had no idea of what happened. I heard he was sick for a week. He had some reaction to it. He was in the hospital. Next thing I knew he was telling his friends that he was going to be a father. He was happy and talked about getting his child and raising the child himself."
Ryuken remembered that time but the only way she would have known about the details if her brother told her about it.
Hanna became angry the more she spoke. "That woman knew that Sojun wanted the child, and he gave to her most of his inheritance to get the child. He knew she did not want the child because she gave him the right to name the child. She even signed all her rights over to Sojun for a price." Hanna started laughing as she spoke. "Sojun was such a fool to give her all that money. She did not deserve him. I loved him and would do anything for him. But all he cared about was getting that child. His child." Hanna started to breathe heavy as she spoke. "I tried to tell him that child may not be his, but he did not listen but when the child was born, Sojun was in love with the child and Sojun's father said he looked just like he did when he was born."
Hanna had a look of defeat. "I will tell you everything if you tell me who killed Sojun. I want to know the whole truth."
Yumichika jumped in. "As your attorney, I must advise you not to do that. You will be incriminating yourself for crimes that,"
"Shut up you, you," Hanna shouted. "You are just like your mother."
"You have not right to speak of my mother," Yumichika yelled back.
They were arguing when Ryuken slammed his hand on the table. "Both of you be quiet." He looked at both women. "Hanna, you knew her mother?"
Ryuken smiled to himself because now the interview was going in the direction, he needed it to go. "So, Hanna, I asked a question," he leaned forward, "how did you know Yumichika's mother, Natalie?"
Hanna smiled a very evil smile. This is the smile that 'All' of them knew. It was the smile that Sosuke Senior told us that even scared him. He told us some things about her, but Sojun told him to write the things down in a journal and give it to him. "I will keep it locked up until needed," Sojun said to his friends in front Sosuke Senior. When Sosuke Senior disappeared, they took the journals and read them.
Hanna looked at Yumichika with that smile. "Your game is up. I will teach you that you never to go up against me. I made you and now, I will destroy you."
"Stop Yumi!" Ikkaku shouted as he banged on the one-way mirror. "Stop! They know the.."
Kanae placed her hand on her Glock. She nodded at Kenpachi. His guards took Ikkaku out of the room as Shunsui walked back in the room. He leaned and spoke into the mic for Ryuken's earpiece. "Sojun is awake. He is freaking out because he does not know where you and Kanae are, and Celeste is not in the room. Byakuya and Kaname are trying to calm him down. We need speed this up."
Ryuken did his signature stretch and placed hands behind his head. He gave the thumbs up to acknowledge he heard him and then the three fingers to let him know that it is a go.
Kanae nodded that she was ready, Kenpachi nodded that he was ready. Yachiru gave the code to Rose and Love and then told Ryuken it is a go.
Yumichika became nervous. She got up and tried to walk out of the room. When the door opened, Kanae and two of her guards were standing there with guns drawn pointed at her. She stopped and looked at Ryuken who had drawn his gun.
Hanna started to laugh and say very sarcastically, "Where do you think you are going, Yumichika Ayasegawa!" She continued to laugh as she looked at Yumichika. Then she looked at Ryuken. "I see you brought your wife with you." Hanna smiled. "Hello Kanae."
