"Were not gonna die! Were not gonna die! Oh sweet Primus were not going go die!"
Bumblebee wasn't sure if he should find Laserbeaks chant amusing or wonder if she had finally lost her processor as the bird had been cheerful ever since Soundwave's proclamation the previous day.
They hadn't even recharged the previous night the promise of the energon deposit had the trio motivated to find it as quickly as possible, though Laserbeak was just taking it to the extreme which Bumblebee found funny she wasn't really a youngling but she sure acted like one.
Their surroundings were actually starting to get brighter not like the sun was in the sky but dim enough that he could finally make out the outline of both Soundwave and Laserbeak without needing the other's lights or optics to see.
It was a bigger relief to his processor than he realized as alot of tension he had been feeling the last few days was finally starting to calm down, solitary confinement even if he was with two decepticons was honestly something he did not want to repeat as it was pretty probable they'd have to go back into the dark tunnels again but until then he wasn't going to think about it.
His single doorwing twitched in memory as anymore thoughts in that direction were stopped by the slowly brightening cave as their really was an actual light at the end of the tunnel.
"I see a light!" Laserbeak was quick to point out as he couldn't help it, she had given him the perfect opening.
"Don't go towards the light!"
Laserbeak flew towards him landing on his shoulder as she giggled" It's not that kind of light" she waved one of her wings at their banter.
Soundwave was completely lost on what the two were talking about only understanding that it was a reference to some human show, as he was far more interested in what lay beyond the light quickening his usual pace a bit as the sight that greeted him was a bit shocking to say the least.
Both Bumblebee and Laserbeak stopped talking as they looked at the spacious cavern before them.
The tunnels they had been traveling through had been open enough for their frame's to move in without to much trouble but the cavern in front of them was a completely different story, it was large and open the ceiling was much higher than either he or Soundwave were tall as the dirt around them revealed glowing blue crystal's embedded into the walls but those weren't the only stone's as clear see through like crystal's were reflecting the blue light which was causing the illumination in the first place.
"It's so beautiful" Laserbeak said what the other two mech's were thinking but didn't voice.
The spacious cavern was also dotted with several tunnels of various sizes some human sized and a few as big as the tunnel opening they were standing in.
The three of them moved forward Soundwave mentally scanning the area as there was nothing but the small thoughts of various organic creatures, he didn't know what they were thinking their minds were far to primitive but there wasn't any danger at the moment.
Bumblebee himself took in the entire cavern something about its shape was odd he'd been in both human made and natural structures, but something about this cavern didn't scream either.
Logically he should be glad they found fuel it meant they weren't going to offline in a rather anti climactic way but something about the cavern itself set Bumblebee on edge, his remaining doorwing began to move in an up and down motion due to his thoughts as he didn't know what but he trusted his instinct's they kept him alive when he was younger; but something about this place just seemed to scream danger.
Meanwhile Laserbeak flew around the cavern just enjoying the ability to finally spread her wings fully after weeks of that cramped tunnel, the ceiling was a bit weird she didn't know much about earth but she was sure the ground on this planet didn't look see through in some spots.
Mentally filing that for later she flew down until she connected with the metal of Soundwave's shoulder watching her creator inspect the walls in a way she recognized as him calculating.
"What is it sir?" While the the bond allowed them to read eachothers thoughts and process informative without a word, Soundwave didn't always share everything and there were times when she just couldn't understand what her creator was thinking.
"The formation of this cavern is unnatural" He spoke lowly mindful of the autobot who was to busy feeling cautious from his thoughts, as Soundwave moved a servo down the wall there was an odd tint to the dirt almost glass like in some areas.
Extreme heat must have once taken place in this cavern it was the only thing that could cause the walls to look such a way.
Still he couldn't help but stare at the glass like sheer, this entire situation brought up memories he would rather soon bury.
"Sir?" Laserbeak nudged her beak against Soundwave's helm as he reached up to stroke the back of her own.
"Tell the autobot that we will refuel first, then we will begin to mark the areas most viable to begin digging without causing a collapse once we are back to working order" Soundwave would rather mark which area's were safe to dig into now but he didn't have enough energy nor energon to waste.
Laserbeak gave Soundwave a worried look making sure he felt it through their bond before she took to the air again, flying over to where Bumblebee was looking at one of the many tunnels that also dotted the cavern.
"What are you doing?" The cassette asked the yellow bot who to her suprise didn't startle given how quiet everything was at the moment.
"Checking to see how many of these tunnels we can fit through, one of these has to lead out towards the surface" Bumblebee said without looking at Laserbeak, while he knew he should be focusing on the fact that there was fuel around him the urge to scout a tunnel out and away from Soundwave was much more appealing.
Besides he had to get back home, Laserbeak wasn't that bad to talk to but she was no Raf and he missed his best friend. He missed the base, he missed Arcee glaring at him and Bulkhead after they snuck out to do something with their human friends, he missed Ratchet grouching about Bulkhead breaking something, he missed Optimus constant presence in the base, he missed the way Miko would inevitably talk them into something that would be fun but end up with someone needing repairs, he even missed getting yelled at by Fowler.
He wanted to go home.
Unknownly his remaining doorwing sagged to almost the same level as his dislocated one, Laserbeak noticed the mood the scout was in as it seemed both him and her master weren't about to open up about what was bothering them.
So she did the only thing she knew to do in such a situation.
"Oh, I can help with that! I could fly ahead and help scout the tunnels while you scout another I'm sure we can find a way out between the two of us!" Laserbeak offered putting as much cheer in her voice as possible before feeling a nudge in her spark, oh yeah, energon, Soundwave" Uh also, Sir wanted me to tell you that we should refuel first and then we'll figure out where we should begin digging" the cassette explained a bit more subdued.
Damn reality.
Bumblebee had been staring at Laserbeak oddly when she started her little cheerful speech, he honestly found it weird that a decepticon's cassette was trying to cheer him up.
"I might take you up on that later" was all Bumblebee said to this very weird situation, Primus they needed to find a way out of here fast! Sure he and Laserbeak got along but he had honestly just wanted someone to talk to and keep sane.
The realization that the cassette might be capable of caring about someone other than her master wasn't something he was expecting to learn today, the fact that he was also worried about the cassettes well being herself beyond just simple kindness also surprised him.
When had he begun to think about her as her own bot instead of Soundwave's extention.
Though that was when Laserbeak relayed Soundwave's message, he felt annoyance at it. The decepticons used machines and drones to dig, what right did Soundwave have telling him what they were going to do? And he already planned on refueling anyway.
There was a sudden familiar weight on his shoulder as Laserbeak perched he expected her to say something else that was cheerful, what he didn't expect was for her to nuzzle the side of his helm in a way that both shocked him but that he also appreciated.
It felt like forever since he received any positive contact since they ended up here, who knew something as simple as a pat on the shoulder or a hug would be something he'd dearly miss?
"What are you doing?" He couldn't help but ask Laserbeak though, she did know he was her enemy right?
"You looked like you needed comfort, you might be an autobot but you've been nice to me when you didn't have too and besides" Laserbeak shuffled her wings in a nervous tick before she spoke" Thats what friends do right?"
There was silence for a moment even Soundwave who had been ignoring Laserbeaks actions had stiffened from his position on the opposite side of the cavern, energon crystal in his servo forgotten as he now completely focused on the autobots thoughts.
Bumblebee himself just stared at Laserbeak as his doorwing stuck as far up as it could in its damaged state to show his suprise before" You see us as friends?" And wow did he sound stupid, he'd blame not recharging and starvation for that.
"Of course! I know when we all leave here I'm going to be your enemy again but, I like talking to you and well your really nice for an autobot so that means I think of you as a friend" The explanation was so very simple and not too thought out, but Laserbeak had never been created to really think things through she wasn't naive by any means but she always was more optimistic than any of her siblings.
"When you say it that way it does sound simple" Bumblebee couldn't help the whirr that left his translator, the closest thing he could release to a laugh as he decided" I guess as long as were down here, we can be friends" Laserbeak was her own bot after all and well their really wasn't anyone to judge him down here about his choices.
Besides he could honestly say that he did like the little bot, they both might just be bonding through shared loneliness at the moment but he could say that he did care about her well being.
"Really!" The cassettes happy cry echoed in the cavern as she nuzzle his helm again before she stiffened and turned towards Soundwave who had his back to them" Sir wants me back" with that the cassette took off back to her creator.
Bumblebee shook his helm at the excitement coming from the cassette she was very easy to please as he sighed the sound coming from his vents loudly in the chamber, as he moved away from the tunnel he had been inspecting and instead focused on the closest energon crystal connected to the wall.
It was rather easy to break off but that was due to how close to the surface it had been, the other crystal's wouldn't break off that easily and they didnt have any tools on hand so he was very much aware that he and Soundwave were going to have to dig energon out by servo. Well not exactly since Soundwave still had his feelers so technically Bumblebee would be the only one digging by hand, huh, he actually was slightly jealousy of those attachments now even if they were used to try and kill him.
Shaking away those thoughts he looked over his shoulder as Soundwave seemed to be conversing with Laserbeak who was perched on a piece of stone, her raised wings made it look like they were arguing about something as he took advantage of their distraction to lower his mask.
He didn't particularly like lowering it at all the stares he'd get from the old scars that were obvious against the metal wasn't something he ever liked, not not scars but the looks, he shook his helm at that as right now lowering it around his enemy made him even more uncomfortable but he needed to refuel and this was the only way.
Pushing down the urge to raise his mask again he instead bit into the energon crystal usual blunt denta transforming into sharp points, they easily broke the stone as the action also unnerved him. All cybertronians had the ability to change their denta it was a remnant of the past when processed energon didn't exist and they had to eat energon raw like he was doing now, but most decepticon specifically seekers tended to keep their denta this way it had become the signatures for decepticons during the war.
Odd that a natural transformation was considered that but it was just the way things were since the war started but still, a feeling came to him as he bit into another crystal as he couldn't shake the unease of it as if he was trying to remember something but couldn't.
Shaking the feeling away he turned his thoughts to Laserbeak he honestly was looking forward to her company these day's and it wasn't just due to how energetic she was and how lonely he was. All this time underground with Soundwave completely sucked but not because the silent con had actually done anything, if anything it was due to the silence, the isolation.
Soundwave was by far the most quiet bot he'd ever met, he only spoke well used his recording's to speak when he felt like it was important to him, completely ignored any questions and would instead relay things through Laserbeak; it was both irritating and yet it was completely stupid that he even tried to make small talk with a mind reader.
Laserbeak proved to be his only saving grace down here, he was a social mech by nature he couldn't speak normally but enjoyed spending time with his team and the children even if only Raf could understand him when it was just the kids. Back home he was always with someone and even when he wasn't their was still the background noise of them talking or Ratchet yelling at Bulkhead that he needed that!
Even when things were quiet their were still the sounds of machinery and whatever organic creatures would sometimes manage to make it into the base, he smiled a bit at the memory of Bulkhead swearing up and down that there was a constant chirping in his helm but no one really believed him as no one heard it; turned out it was an insect known as a cricket that had managed to climb inside Bulkhead's armor and settled near his audio sensors.
Bulkhead had made a rather funny show after he had been validated.
Primus, he never knew how lonely one could feel even when you weren't really alone. He swore if he ever made it back to his team he wasn't ever taking Miko's loud rock music, Bulkhead bumping into him, the light of the sun reflecting off the earth's moon for granted ever again.
He never realized how much he'd miss those simple thing's until they were gone.
"Laserbeak, what are you doing?!" Soundwave stared at his cassette trying and failing to keep his usual stoic persona as he couldn't believe what she had just done.
Laserbeak had perched herself on some large rocks so she could face her master as she just huffed" I like him, he's an autobot sure but he's been nothing but kind to me sir, why shouldn't I consider him a friend?" She tilted her head much like an actual bird as she knew exactly why Soundwave was displeased.
"What did I tell you about becoming attached, he is our enemy-" he didnt get to finish though as Laserbeak interrupted him.
"He's not my enemy sir, he wouldn't harm me I'm sure of it! He could have hurt me if he wanted too but he hasn't, besides it's not like you couldn't offline him if he turned out to be untrustworthy" though she doubted it, Bumblebee had been entertaining her for awhile now and he had every opportunity to harm her yet he hadn't.
"Laserbeak, he's not foolish enough to harm you in front of me" Sometimes Soundwave regretted giving Laserbeak so much freedom of expression, the autobot had only not harmed her due to his presence he was quite sure about it; even if the other's thoughts hadn't once turned towards violence you never knew.
Once someone knew what you cared for they knew how to harm you and Soundwave had spent millennium making sure those on the side of the decepticons saw his cassettes as nothing but his useful drone's. The moment they could be viewed as useless or insignificant was when they would truely be in danger, when others figured out how much he cared for his creations, the memory of a single red optic surfaced as he angrily pushed it away.
He wouldn't loose another.
Venting harshly he turned his helm to see the yellow scout had his back to him the other's remaining doorwing kept twitching with whatever emotions the other was feeling, he found himself annoyed with it extremely so. He could already read his mind he didn't need to physically see every emotion he was feeling as he decided for once to just ignore the autobot and instead focus on Laserbeak.
"You will not speak to him anymore, I forbid it" He meant it, this had gotten out of hand and he was putting an end to it.
"You can't tell me what to do! And I don't have to listen anymore!" Before Soundwave could react he felt all of Laserbeaks emotions stop as she flew into the air and went towards the scout instead, the other reacted in surprise and stupidly fell back into the wall.
That damned translator let out a series of clicks and beeps that were all related to pain from smashing a damaged doorwing into earth, he found himself increasingly irritated with the sound that echoed in the cavern.
Soundwave narrow his optics from behind his visor as he raised a servo towards his chest plates where his spark was, she had blocked him! That little! He felt like the energon that remained in his frame was boiling before he turned away from the both of them, fine she wanted to throw a tantrum he'd allow her but the autobot was going to pay for causing his cassette to disobey him.
Lifting the forgotten energon crystal he had been consuming he raised his visor halfway as the autobot was distracted only enough to reveal his mouth, he bit down on the energon crystal far harder than he had too as he tried to ignore the fact that Laserbeak had blocked him.
It wasn't the first time nor would it be the last, his cassette's had blocked him before when throwing their tantrums his twins were especially famous in doing that whenever Soundwave would punish them; they always gave up after awhile the empty feeling eventually causing them to crack and open the bond again.
No she wouldn't block him for long but the autobot had to pay for causing her to do this.
He wasnt about to stand for this insolence.
Something was very wrong.
He was leaning against the wall behind him as his frame felt sluggish that tired feeling you'd get from not refueling for days but that didn't make any sense, he had refueled the previous day by consuming the raw energon.
But oddly enough that actually wasn't what he found wrong with his current situation, well actually nothing about his current situation was normal but no what was odd was the fact that Laserbeak had basically attached herself to him since what he assumed was yesterday.
He hadn't been paying attention to whatever argument Laserbeak and Soundwave were having taking the opportunity to refuel instead while he had the chance, only to hear the ending of the argument that was Laserbeak yelling at Soundwave an the next thing he knew she was landing on his shoulder surprising him and forcing him to return his mask back up; only the action of Laserbeak suddenly showing up had him loosing his balance and smashing his backplates into the wall.
The pain that had practically numbed itself over time had returned with a vengeance along with several warnings in his HUD that he had come close to damaging it even more, Laserbeak had panicked and asked him if he was okay which he found both weird and funny.
She really had been serious about wanting friendship if she had been that worried about his injuries. He had played it off as being fine which he was not, even now in his disoriented state pain still came from his door wings.
But he was to tired to even attempt to move from the sitting position he had put himself in, he was pretty sure he had recharged like this if the stiffness in his frame was anything to go by.
Still he didn't understand why he felt like this, he was pretty sure it was his own stubborn nature that was even keeping his optic's open at the moment.
"You doing okay? Still dizzy?" Laserbeak really had attached herself to his side as he had awoken to her perched on his leg.
"No, just tired" he found no reason to lie to her, besides it was rather hard to lie when you could barely move your own frame.
"It'll pass, your frames used to processing energon that's already been turned into a high powered energy source so it's just trying to adjust to a raw source" her explanation both confused and surprised him.
"How do you know that?" Even he hadn't know that about energon but then again he usually did have the processed outcome, there was never a time he didn't.
At least he didn't think so.
"Soundwave" the way she said Soundwave's name had Bumblebee shaking away some of the fog he felt clouding his processor.
"Not that I don't like your company, but why aren't you with Soundwave?" He was pretty sure it had to do with whatever they had been arguing about yesterday, well Laserbeak had been arguing outwardly he hadn't heard Soundwave if the decepticon even had a voice.
Laserbeak huffed at the question as her metallic feathers ruffled in irritation" He told me that I wasn't allowed to talk to you anymore, just because I wanted to be your friend can you believe that!" She said it in the most indignant tone possible and if she were able to express facial emotions he was sure she'd be pouting.
Bumblebee shuttered his optics a moment before looking at Laserbeak and then tried to look to where Soundwave was across the cavern, he could barely make out his dark armor in his current state before looking down at Laserbeak.
"I can believe it" He wished he could laugh, he wished it wouldn't come out in clicks and whirrs because this had to be the craziest situation he had ever landed himself in and he had landed himself in many.
"What!?" Laserbeak almost sounded betrayed which just added to the humor.
"Laserbeak a few weeks ago you were nothing but Soundwave's drone and I was just your enemy, now we've been forced to coexist just so we can try and get out of here alive and you offered to be friends" this entire situation was completely impossible, it never should have happened but it did and now they just had to deal with the consequences" you can see why he said that right?"
"Maybe, but still if you were going to hurt me you'd have done it already so I don't think your a bad bot your just an autobot" It was such a terribly simple rationalization, but Laserbeak didn't see much of a point to really make it a complicated awnser after all that was Ravage's job.
Bumblebee stared at her for a moment as he processed what she had just said to him, it was such an odd statement to hear from someone else. He never really thought about how he himself was seen as something to fear by someone else, if anything most of the decepticons were afraid of his family due to their reputations but no one really feared Bumblebee himself.
After all he wasn't the most threatening autobot in this war if anything that title went to Wheeljack given his reputation of not holding anything back when he fought decepticon's or Ironhide the mech was an endless well of weapon's and explosions who could level an entire city on his own.
He didn't know why, maybe because he had gotten to know Laserbeak, maybe because he realized she was her own bot, maybe because he genuinely liked her, but the idea that she had actually held some fear against him bothered him.
"You don't have to worry about that and neither does Soundwave, I wouldn't hurt you" He wouldn't and besides it wasn't like he was friends with Soundwave only his cassette, so technically he wasn't committing any sort of betrayal or treason by indulging her.
At least that's what he tried to rationalize.
They were both quiet for a moment as Bumblebee was once again aware of the pain in his doorwings and nearly considered shutting off his pain receptors before deciding against it, if he did he'd been completely blind against anything he couldn't see as he'd be unable to feel without his doorwings.
It was Laserbeak who spoke up again.
"Okay since you and sir aren't going to be moving for another solar cycle or two and since we're friends now, can I ask you some questions?" For the first time since he'd met Laserbeak the cassette actually looked scared and nervous.
"As long as it isn't where the location of the autobot base is" He made sure not to think of where it was just in case Soundwave was trying to get said information from his processor, he didn't know if the seeker was feeling as tired as he was so it never hurt to be careful.
Laserbeak just laughed at that as she waved a wing" guess I'm not getting that information from you then so instead" she played along as she thought of something she could ask" What's it like being a car?"
Bumblebee was actually surprised by that question" why do you wanna to know? He was genuinely curious.
Laserbeak shrugged" Well Sir can turn into a jet and I can fly, so I don't know what it's like for a grounder when they turn into cars does it feel different? Does the ground feel weird? Is it more fun than flying?" The questions just came coming as Bumblebee couldn't even raise a servo to stop her.
"One question at a time" but he did smile behind his mask at her curious nature, it reminded him of himself he always liked learning something new as he had his own questions he wanted to ask Laserbeak about how her frame worked and how she even refueled at all.
Laserbeak stopped asking but he could feel her frame shaking slightly as she tried to restrain herself.
That time he did laugh as he began to awnser her questions completely unaware of the optic's glaring poison at him from across the cavern.
He had turned off the sensors in his mangled wings weeks ago if he hadn't he would be unable to lean against the rock wall behind him, it had been a long time since he had to rely on raw energon and he could feel it how his frame was trying to process the fact that it had received raw fuel an was now turning it into energy.
But his systems hadn't done this for many a stellar cycle so the side effect was extreme fatigue to the point where pushing himself into a sitting position had been taxing at best.
What made the situation worse was the numbness he could feel in his spark from where Laserbeak had blocked him, how she was trying to keep her thoughts and emotions from him just to spite him for his words of caution.
The fact he could read minds helped at least but at the moment all he wanted to do was to stop listening as all he could do was continue to glare at the yellow scout from his position, one of his servo's curled into a fist as he didn't need to read minds nor have a bond with Laserbeak to hear her cheerful laughter.
She was having fun chatting with the autobot about this and that questions that weren't even that important, the autobot indulged her completely as he listened to their interaction which did not help cool the curling feelings of anger and to his suprise jealously he felt forming in his tanks.
His cassettes all had their own personality's while he did have a hand in creating the core of their programing some quirks were truely their own, Laserbeaks own quirk was her curious nature she came off as quite naive and innocent of course no one had known this until now.
But the scout now knew and that was dangerous, he had so easily turned his own creation against him! Him! No one had ever crossed him in such a way and he found himself hating the other mech in ways he hadn't since the council.
Of course a small part of his processor, the more logical voice told him that it was a good thing that the autobot was so trusting of Laserbeak, that she was safe if the autobot saw her as alive since the autobot's rather hypocritical view on life was not to harm it so Laserbeak was safe.
He also remembered he had files on every autobot he had ever met and the ones on earth were no different if anything the scout seem to be the type to be more curious about Laserbeak than harm her, which was exactly what had happened but he viewed that as more of a negative.
The scout had so easily charmed Laserbeak, that currently made him a threat to Soundwave.
He had to restrain his engine from making any noise as he could feel a growl of frustration trying to make itself known and it wasn't just because of his mistrust an annoyance at the scout. He was only partly responsible for Soundwave's mood, despite what most believed about Soundwave he was very much capable of emotion he just had more control over his than his fellow decepticon's due to a lifetime of knowing he could only count on himself and his cassettes.
Primus sometimes he hated being a flyer! He wanted to lift his servo's and grab at his helm but he couldn't due to his current state and because he would never show weakness in front of the enemy. Being stuck down here in these tunnels had been chipping away at his processor since they ended up here as despite the level head and calm he had been projecting for his own image, he finally was allowing that facade to crack given how he could no longer ignore his own thoughts with movement and the impending doom of starvation was no longer a problem.
Memories he didn't want surfacing kept pushing at his processor wanting to be acknowledged as this place reminded him to much of the mines, Tarn hadn't been the best environment but the mines truely were the worst especially if you weren't a grounder.
He resisted the urge to try and find the strength to slam his helm into the wall behind him, that was something only crazy mechs did.
He once again pushed down the memories and instead focused on what he was going to do about Laserbeak if she kept ignoring him, he usually wasn't this panicked when his cassettes distanced themselves due to a disagreement Primus knew the twins did this to him every other solar cycle; the only cassette he had who never did such a thing was Ravage.
Though the cybercat was admittingly more mature than his younger siblings.
Thinking of Ravage he hoped his eldest creation was doing fine alone in the Nemesis, none of the other officers really messed with him due to the threat of Soundwave and Ravage's own reputation he had taken down autobot's as big as that wrecker on the autobots side he could take care of himself; still didn't stop him from worrying.
But as long as he functioned so would Ravage so the other's on the Nemesis would know he was still online and wouldn't bother with Ravage.
He stared up at the dark ceiling and wondered how long he was going to have to deal with this?
The next solar cycle or whatever it was time had lost all meaning at this point he was beginning to feel better able to move his frame without too much trouble and another rechard cycle after he was back to at least being mobile.
Soundwave lifted one of his tendrils and marked another spot on his side of the cavern for where he would begin to dig, looking ober his shoulder he saw the autobot doing the same while simultaneously speaking to Laserbeak.
She still hadn't unblocked him and it was beginning to actual fray at Soundwave's nerves, his cassette's always gave in after a solar cycle or two especially Laserbeak she hated being alone more than even his twins.
And yet there she was talking away with their enemy who at this point was also fraying on his final nerve, he was going to finish what his lord started if the scout didn't silence that fragging translator!
Some dirt fell on his helm as he realized he slammed his feeler into the wall a little to roughly and pulled it back. He was honestly starting to worry about his own mental health, Soundwave never lost control of his emotions but the irritation of being stuck without an open sky, his cassette blocking him, ghost haunting him everywhere he turned, his own mangled wings which meant no flight at all.
He was slowly becoming more aware of that frightening fact, he never lost control, he was always in control, this situation was one he couldn't control!
That's when heard it again, that damn translator and Laserbeaks following laughter.
Later he would look back at this moment as one of shame for loosing control and the moment hell truely began in this Primus forsaken cave.
He spun around glaring at the autobot who also turned to face him as he assumed Laserbeak had been the one to warn him.
He spoke before his processor had a chance to stop him.
"Will you cease your racket! How the autobots have not gone insane having to listen to your translator I will never know! If you cause this much noise with a translator how much of an annoyance were you before Lord Megatron took your vocals! But if you don't silence yourself I will make you wish you truly would be unable to speak again!" The words were much louder in the empty cave as sound carried, but Soundwave was never a loud mech either as both Laserbeak and the scout stared at him.
Silence and then he nearly stepped back at the rage, broiling, unadulterated rage and it was all being directed at Soundwave as the yellow autobot quickly turned away from him. For the first time Soundwave found he couldn't feel nor hear anything inside the scouts mind except anger, though the anger he felt in his spark was not his own as he was now aware of Laserbeak opening the bond.
She wasn't pleased at all as he just sent back his own anger and irritation before turning back to his work.
It took him another moment to realize he had used his real voice to shout at the yellow bot and another to realize that Laserbeak was yelling at him through their bond.
But he had no regrets as beyond Laserbeak it was finally silent.
And that's what he wanted, right?
