Chapter 3: The Spider-Slayer

BGM: Spider-Man TAS 1994 – The Spider Slayer

Chaos was happening in Times Square, the civilians of New York screaming on every corner as the Spider-Slayer made itself known to the public. It was wreaking such havoc because its goal was to try to bring Spider-Man out to play.

Getting a visual of everything from afar, Alistair Smythe couldn't help but to grin.

"Excellent. All functions are working properly."

"They better be working properly after all the time I gave you and your father to work on this." Kingpin declared, watching to see what would happen.

As the Spider-Slayer continued to cause a ruckus, Peter and Felicia looked on with wide eyes, currently not believing what they were seeing.

And that was something, given the both of them have witnessed a whole bunch of ridiculous crap on numerous, upon numerous occasions.

As the Spider-Slayer was shooting out energy blasts, it hit a building on the side, causing the broken pieces to act like an angry meteor shower attack on the civilians. One man wasn't quick enough to dodge the oncoming madness, screaming as he thought it was the end for him.

Fortunately for him, he would have a hero.

"Look out!"

Running at the fastest speed he could go, the hero grabbed the man's arm, pulling him out the way so he wouldn't be able to meet his doom. The two people were out of breath, but the man did show appreciation for the hero saving him.

"Thank you so much. I was a goner until you showed up!"

The hero gave a smile, speaking in his usual exuberant tone. "Not a problem, sir! That's what Stan The Man does!"

Back with Peter and Felicia, the two were trying to come up with a plan to somehow beat this mechanical spider of death. However… there was a major problem. With both of them trying to keep their secret identities away from the public, and each other, how could they peacefully suit up?

Peter gritted his teeth, figuring out how he wanted to change into his Spider-Man costume. At this point, he was an expert with changing on the fly. "Let's get outta here!" he told Felicia, grabbing her hand as they both began to run away. Though, he made sure to let go of Felicia's hand so his plan would be put into action.

"What is that thing?!" Felicia exclaimed, looking back at the Spider-Slayer.

"I don't know, but whatever it is, somebody has to stop it!" Peter replied, running beside Felicia, but then by the corner of his eye, he saw a nearby alley he could change in. Quickly and swiftly turning, Peter made his way to the alley, vanishing from Felicia's sights.

Felicia continued to run, until she realized nobody was running with her. She stopped dead in her tracks, turning around due to Peter's disappearance. "Peter?!" she shouted. She's heard of the legend when it comes to Peter's disappearing acts, and now it's happened to her.

Her palm met with her face, sighing heavily.

"Oh, good grief…"

Back in Times Square, police cars were showing up to the scene, doing their best to lead the civilians to safety while trying to fight off the Spider-Slayer at the same time. "CODE 3, CODE 3!" the officers repeated, continuing to shoot at the Spider-Slayer, but their bullets weren't doing a single thing.

On the frontlines fighting with his officers was the captain of the police force. This would be no one other than Captain George Stacy, father of Gwen Stacy. He was a little bit older than the rest of his police force, but not by too much. He still looked to be in great shape, his main features being his white hair and blue eyes.

"Keep attacking men! Don't let up!" he commanded, still shooting at the Spider-Slayer, even if it proved to be futile.

It would be great if they got some help from a friendly neighborhood superhero… Someone liiike…

"It's Spider-Man!" a kid joyfully called out, pointing to Spider Man swinging to the rescue. He would land right on top of the Spider-Slayer, yelling, "Alright buddy, time to end this!" He would pull his fist back and slam it onto the Spider-Slayer, but… that would prove to not be the smartest of ideas.

The armor of the Spider-Slayer was downright elite. No mere punch can really damage it, even if it was coming from Spider-Man. His eyes would widen, gritting his teeth as he felt like the only thing his attack did was hurt himself. He started to shake his hand because of the pain, saying, "Oh man, what is this thing made of?!"

"Something that even your spider strength can't break through." Alistair said, feeling proud of himself and his father's efforts. Spidey wouldn't be able to hear this, though.

As Spidey was on top of the Spider-Slayer, now it looked like it was turning into a rodeo. The Spider-Slayer was jumping all over the place, as Spidey himself looked like a complete fool by trying to hold on.

"This isn't one of my greatest ideas!" he shouted, being flung off the Spider-Slayer and was sent flying into a building. He groaned in frustration, holding his head as he got back up. "Okay, so punching it clearly didn't work. Time for-!"

Before he could finish, he heard his phone's ringtone. "Oh, there couldn't be a worse possible time!" he exclaimed, bringing his phone out and saw Angelica Jones was calling him.

"Stupid Parker luck! I wouldn't mind a cute girl calling me at literally ANY other time!" The timing of Angelica deciding to call Peter was absolutely horrendous, but it wasn't her fault. She doesn't know her friend is freaking Spider-Man of all things.

Peter groaned loudly, accepting the call as he swung back into action. "Hello?"

"Hey, Peter. What's up?" Angelica replied, smiling.

"Oh, nothin' much. Just currently running for my life at Times Square." Peter's tone was so casual that it caught Angelica off guard. At first, she thought he was joking, but then she heard all of the chaos happening through the phone.

"Wait, what?" Angelica said, replaying Peter's message in her mind. The more disruptions she heard in the background, the more she got worried. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine! Amazing! Spectacular, even!" responded Peter, avoiding all of the Spider-Slayer's energy blasts while being on the phone. "Gotta go, bye!"

"Wait, Peter!" Angelica yelled, but it was too late. Peter had already hung up. She grabbed the remote and turned on her TV, going to the News Channel as her dog Ms. Lion began to bark.

"Breaking News, Times Square is under attack! From the looks of it, there seems to be some giant mechanical Spider wreaking havoc. The NYPD and Spider-Man are currently trying to stop this new threat, but they're having difficulties with taking it down. If you are near Times Square, evacuate immediately and go to your homes."

Angelica gasped at what she was seeing on the TV, now knowing why Peter said what he said.

She has to help somehow.

Grabbing her phone again, she quickly dialed a number, knowing she was going to need some assistance for this one.

"Hello? Yeah Bobby, it's me. We got a situation."

BGM: Spider-Man 1981 Theme

With Spidey failing to find a way to beat this Spider-Slayer, along with not finding any kind of opening whatsoever, he was clearly meeting his match. The NYPD weren't helping at all if it didn't deal with evacuating the citizens, so this was essentially a 1 on 1 fight.

But, even with this not going well, it's not like Spidey would ever let the Spider-Slayer know. You would think Spidey was absolutely destroying it in the fight right now.

"Come on, is that all you got? I know old ladies that pack more of a punch than you do!"

Alistair laughed, looking at his father Spencer Smythe.

"Should we stop holding back on him father?"

Spencer grinned. "I think we should."

With the press of a few buttons, the Spider-Slayer was charging up its power to the max, having an electric-like aura come around it. As it was charging up its power, all of Times Square started to shake, causing the civilians around the area to freak out even more than what they were doing before.

Spider-Man was trying to keep his balance, thinking to himself, "Oh, me and my big mouth…!"

During this time, the Spider-Slayer was charging up multiple blasts, now shooting a barrage of them in a complete frenzy. Explosion after explosion appeared in Times Square, the blast radius pushing Spidey back a bit.

But in typical Spider-Man fashion, he couldn't worry about himself, because during this moment, he heard somebody calling out for help.

"Help!"

Spider-Man looked to the right, seeing there was a girl who needed help. If he didn't get to her in time, she was going to get annihilated.

He can't let that happen.

"Hold on!" Spidey said, shooting out a web as he swung towards the girl, grabbing her just in time before the blast could destroy her. Getting her away from the blasts, Spider-Man put her down. "Are you okay, miss?"

The girl was panting, but she would make sure to show her thanks. "Yeah…" She looked up to Spidey, showing a genuine smile. "Thanks, Spider-Man. You're a lifesaver."

As the girl thanked him, it's like Spidey went into a trance. He didn't notice it at first since the first thought in his mind was getting the girl to safety, but when he got a better look at her…

Yeah, she was hot.

Red hair, green eyes, and an aura about her that carried a certain confidence… It's safe to say Spidey was attracted to her.

God, what is it with him and redheads?

Spider-Man cleared his throat, not wanting things to become awkward. "Ahem. Well, I'm glad you're okay. Though, I would advise you to run away as far as possible."

The redhead gave a salute, taking Spider-Man's advice as she began to run. "Way ahead of you, Tiger!" Eventually, she was out of sight, causing Spidey to shake his head.

"I realllllly have a problem when it comes to redheads…" he told himself, swinging back into action as he faced the Spider-Slayer once more. "Okay, so far, nothing has worked. The police can't do anything, I'm basically on my own, this giant spider seems indestructible, and if it doesn't get taken down soon, all of Times Square is gonna turn into rubble."

He sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Help from anybody would be appreciated right now…"

"Ask and you shall receive, Spider."

Spider-Man turned around, knowing the voice all too well. "Cat!"

Black Cat landed gracefully on her feet, showing a smirk. "You just seem to attract danger wherever you go."

Spider-Man crossed his arms. "What? And you don't?"

"I never said I didn't~" Black Cat said, placing her finger onto Spidey's chest and lightly tapped it. "Ooh, have you been working out?"

Spidey grabbed Black Cat's hand, taking it off his chest. "Cat, this is not the time."

Black Cat gave a casual shrug. "Have it your way." The two then looked at the Spider-Slayer, getting into their battle stances. "So, have you figured out a way to beat this thing?" she asked.

Spidey gave an unenthusiastic nod. "Nope. It's like I can't hurt it at all. All of my attacks have done nothing."

"Is that so?" Black Cat said, analyzing the Spider-Slayer herself. She frowned a bit, telling Spidey, "I'm gonna be honest, sweetie. To take down something like this, we're gonna need more help."

"And where are we possibly going to find more help?" Spidey retorted, pointing to the sky. "It's not like some random heroes are going to fall outta the sky!"

BGM: Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends Theme

"Hey, what's that in the sky?!" a kid shouted, as it was actually the same kid who announced Spider-Man joining the battle. Spidey and Black Cat looked up to see a ray of light of some sorts, almost shining as bright as the sun as it flew in the night sky. She sported a yellow suit with a red mask that covered her green eyes, while also being a redhead.

Then on the surface, somebody else would join the fight. It was a man who looked like he was literally made of ice, continuing to make his own ice be his main source of transportation, almost like he was surfing on it.

They both came near Spider-Man, having smiles on their faces.

"I stand corrected." Spidey said, knowing exactly who these two people were.

"Long time no see, Spidey!" Iceman exclaimed, waving.

"Seems like you're having a bit of trouble," Firestar added, pointing to the Spider-Slayer.

Black Cat raised an eyebrow. "Who are these guys?"

Spidey looked at Black Cat, replying, "My friends, Iceman and Firestar. We've helped each other out in the past."

"Mhm." Black Cat responded, but they would get interrupted by Captain Stacy.

"Spider-Man!" he called out, running towards the group of heroes.

Well, mostly group of heroes.

"My men and I can't keep this up for much longer! We're being pushed back with each passing second!"

"I hear you, Captain Stacy. I hear you." Spidey said, knowing he had to come up with a plan. He had the firepower to take it down due to additions of Black Cat, Iceman, and Firestar showing up. Now, it was all about execution.

He continued to think and think, ultimately coming up with an idea. "Got it." he told himself, smirking under his mask. "Okay, team. Listen up. If we try to attack that thing head on, we're just going to fail miserably. However, I do think there's a way to beat it."

"We're all ears," Iceman said, the rest of the group fully listening.

"Since we can't take it down from the outside, we'll take it down from the inside instead." Spidey told them, continuing to explain his plan. "Whenever that giant spider of death decides to charge and shoot its next attack, the inside of it is temporarily revealed. That's where we need to attack."

He looked at everyone, making sure they knew what to do. "Captain Stacy, I'm going to need you and your men to distract it for just a little bit longer."

Captain Stacy nodded. "That can be arranged."

Spidey then looked over to Iceman. "Iceman, you're gonna have to freeze its legs so it can remain stationary. I have a feeling you're going to have to keep freezing them because if you don't, it's going to break free."

"You can count on me, Spidey." Iceman confirmed, smiling.

Afterwards, Spidey would turn to Black Cat. "Cat, you and I will be busy distracting that thing with Captain Stacy."

"Whatever you say, Spider." she told him, having a smirk.

Finally, he would turn to Firestar. "Firestar, when that thing charges up, it's going to try to attack me and Cat. It's going to reveal the inside before it officially sends out an energy blast. When this happens, I want you to send the most powerful fireball you got and throw it in the inside."

Firestar heard him loud and clear. "I'll be ready!"

Spider-Man clapped his hands together after he gave everybody their roles. "Alright team. Let's win this thing!"

BGM: Spider-Man Unlimited Theme

Everybody got into position, Captain Stacy commanding his men to keep firing at the Spider-Slayer. Spider-Man and Black Cat would join them in distracting it, as the machine would be twisting and turning by trying to keep up with the agile pair.

"They're doing nothing but running around!" Alistair exclaimed.

"I guess they realized their attacks couldn't even make a dent," Spencer explained, grinning.

With the Spider-Slayer being distracted, it was now Iceman's turn to really put this plan into action. "Hey, chill or be chilled you bucket of bolts!" Extending his arms, large amounts of ice came out of his hands, freezing the Spider-Slayer's legs. He would continue firing a large amount of ice, just in case if Spidey's words turned out to be true.

Now sensing itself being in a standstill, the Spider-Slayer began to charge up its attack, showing the canon that's been firing off the energy blasts while also revealing its insides in the process.

"Captain! Tell your men to hold their fire!" Spidey shouted, since he knew Firestar would be attacking next and didn't want a stray bullet to accidentally hit her.

Hearing Spider-Man's request, Captain Stacy yelled, "Hold your fire, men!"

Unfortunately, one police officer didn't listen.

He fired another bullet at the Spider-Slayer. Well, it was intended for the Spider-Slayer, but if something wasn't done quickly, the bullet was going to strike Black Cat in her back.

And since she was completely unaware this bullet was coming right for her, this wasn't going to be pretty.

"I SAID HOLD YOUR FIRE!" Captain Stacy roared in anger.

"CAT!" Spidey said, web zipping to her position and kicked her out the way. Fortunately for Black Cat, she would come out bullet free.

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for Spidey.

He got shot in the leg, letting go of his web as he skidded across the ground. It took a few seconds for Black Cat to realize what had happened, but once she did, her eyes widened.

"SPIDER!" she exclaimed, running towards him.

During Iceman's attack, he looked over to see that Spidey got shot, distracting him from continuing his ice barrage on the Spider-Slayer's legs. "What the?!"

One second of Iceman being distracted is all the Spider-Slayer needed. With Iceman's attack momentarily stopping, the Spider-Slayer sent a blast at him, blasting him away as now he wasn't close enough to freeze its legs.

"Here goes nothing!" Firestar told herself, trying to ignore all the chaos happening as she was flying towards the Spider-Slayer like a flaming rocket, leaving trails of fire behind her. Looking up, the Spider-Slayer saw Firestar coming at high speeds.

Yep, this isn't how the plan was supposed to go.

Black Cat, who looked at the Spider-Slayer and saw that the plan would inevitably fail if Firestar wasn't able to hit it, shot a grappling hook which tied the thing down, making it unable to dodge. She was straining herself by trying to hold it down, but by all accounts, she was doing amazingly well. Her grip was so tight because she realized the importance of the moment.

With the Spider-Slayer being tied down, this allowed enough time for Firestar to unleash a large fireball, striking the Spider-Slayer's insides. In mere moments, the Spider-Slayer exploded into tiny little pieces, as a large cloud of smoke appeared.

On the other end, a very, very large man was not happy with the ending result of the fight.

"SMYYYYYYYYTHEEEEEEEEE!" Kingpin was clearly furious, smashing the control panel out of unadulterated rage. Due to this, Alistair and Spencer Smythe were trying to avoid the big man at all costs.

As far as Times Square, though, the people were relieved to see the Spider-Slayer being destroyed. The NYPD all had a collective sigh of relief, but there was still one issue.

"Spider, are you okay?" Black Cat said, kneeling to Spider-Man's level as she slowly made him sit up.

In typical Spidey fashion, he acted like it was no big deal by saying a joke. "Meh. Been through worse."

I mean, he wasn't lying.

Firestar came closer to where Black Cat and Spidey were. "Do you need help getting up?"

Spider-Man remained silent, until he started groaning in pain.

"I'll take that as a yes."

Firestar and Black Cat both helped Spidey to his feet, with Iceman slowly appearing back to the scene. "Are you okay, Iceman? Yeah, sure. I just got blasted by the spider terminator of death, but does anybody care about my wellbeing? Nope!" Iceman told himself all at once, Black Cat and Firestar still not hearing him.

"Gotta say, I wouldn't have beaten that thing if you guys didn't show up." Spidey said, smiling under his mask. "Seems like I have some amazing friends."

"You would be correct," Firestar replied, smiling.

Then, a flash would happen, signaling a picture being taken.

"SPIDER-MAN IS NOT ONLY A MENACE, BUT HE'S A PIMP TOO!"

Oh God, Spidey knew that voice from anywhere.

J. Jonah freaking Jameson.

"THIS IS GOING INTO TOMORROW'S PAPER!"

He took a picture of Black Cat and Firestar helping Spidey to his feet, hence which is why he brought up the pimp part. Anything to ruin Spider-Man's name, I guess.

"Aaaaandddd this is where I leave." Spidey said, getting ready to swing away, but Black Cat grabbed his arm before he could.

"Hold on. Will you be okay swinging?" she asked in concern, obviously referring to his injured leg.

"I'll be fiiine. Trust me." he told Black Cat nonchalantly. Yeah, it was going to be difficult swinging, but he'll manage.

Probably.

"Wait, Spider-Man, before you go," Captain Stacy began, walking towards him. "Thank you for all your help today." He then looked at his friends. "Thank you for your help as well." He would turn back to Spidey, looking at his leg. "And um… Sorry about your leg."

"It's no problem, Captain. Being shot at comes with being in the hero business." he said, extending his arm as he swung away, as everyone looked at him.

However, one person couldn't let him get away that easily. "I'm going after him." Black Cat said, shooting a grappling hook as she followed Spider-Man, not believing he was completely okay like he wanted people to believe.

As Spidey started to swing, with the pain still feeling fresh in his leg, this was way more difficult than he thought it would be. He gritted his teeth, his grip loosening on his web as he fell on top of a building.

Not too far behind him was Black Cat, landing on the building Spidey fell on and brought him back to his feet again. "You'll be fine, huh?" she said sarcastically, repeating his words to him.

"The pain eventually goes away. Just not instantly." Spidey explained, looking at Black Cat. "Why are you following me anyway?"

"I can't check up on my little Spider?" Black Cat asked, having a sarcastic offended tone. Spidey sighed deeply, shaking his head.

But now it was time to get serious.

"Listen… Spider," Black Cat began, her tone changing. "Thank you for saving me. I would have had a bullet in my back if it wasn't for you."

Spidey smiled under his mask. "It's no big deal. Like I said, that kind of stuff comes with being a hero."

BGM: Spider-Man TAS 1994 – Spidey Meets His Girl (If you play this on YouTube, start at 0:32)

Black Cat smirked. "Well, I do think the hero deserves a little reward for his efforts…"

Her tone suddenly got a lot more seductive, as Spidey's body temperature was now going through the roof, his cheeks slowly but surely becoming a crimson red.

"Uh… did it suddenly get hot in here, or is it just me?"

"I don't know," Black Cat replied, getting closer to his ear as she began to whisper.

"Wouldn't you like to find out?"

HOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Black Cat grabbed Spider-Man's mask, slowly pulling it up to the point where it only revealed his mouth. How simple it would've been to pull it all the way up and find out his secret identity, but… Black Cat wouldn't bother herself with that.

If their secret identities ever got revealed to each other, Spidey will be the one to make the first move.

Now it seemed like their bodies were moving on autopilot, leaning in until their lips finally met, embracing each other in a passionate kiss. As time passed, they both seemed to just enjoy the moment, Spidey wrapping his arms around Black Cat's waist during the kiss.

The kiss didn't last too long, though. They both separated from each other, Black Cat keeping her confident smirk. "You know, if your leg is still bothering you, I can swing you over to my place. That way, we could finish our business."

Spidey pulled his mask back down, getting his mind back on track before he got into anything he regretted.

Would he regret it?

Bah, who knows.

"Appreciate the offer, but I'll be fine."

Black Cat casually shrugged. "Suit yourself." She said it so confidently, knowing Spidey enjoyed the kiss as much as she did.

To be honest, her confidence was attractive.

Black Cat walked to the edge of the building, giving a wave.

"See you around."

She blew Spidey a kiss, before jumping off the building, swinging away. Spidey watched her as she did, being in a trance until he snapped himself out of it.

"Go home, go home, go home, go home!" Spidey said, telling himself over and over again. He would shoot out a web, doing his best to ignore the pain as he indeed went back home.

Aunt May's House

Peter made it to Aunt May's house, looking through the window in the living room and saw she was sleeping. That was probably for the best, especially considering how late it was. He crawled up to his room's window, opening it and changed back into his regular clothes, still feeling some pain in his leg.

He sat on his bed, taking deep breaths until he heard his phone ringing.

At least it wasn't ringing during a battle this time.

He would grab his phone, seeing it was Gwen who was calling him. Answering it, he said, "Hello?"

"Peter! You're okay!"

By how Gwen sounded, you would think Peter returned from war.

I mean, he kinda did.

"Of course I'm okay. Why wouldn't I be?"

"You were there in Times Square with Felicia, right? That giant spider showing up is all over the news." Gwen explained. "It didn't hurt you, did it?"

Peter smiled, appreciating Gwen checking up on him. "Naaahh, it didn't hurt me. Felicia and I got out of there before-"

That's when he remembered something.

He ditched Felicia.

"Oh no…" Peter spoke, facepalming himself.

"What's wrong?" Gwen asked, being curious.

"Nothing, nothing. Anyway, I'll uh, see you at school tomorrow." He tried to change the subject, and it seemed like it worked.

"Alright. Goodnight, Peter."

"Night, Gwen."

They both hung up, and soon enough, Peter would plop on his bed out of complete exhaustion.

"I need a vacation…"

The Next Day

Peter woke up, looking at the clock and realized if he didn't get up soon, he would be late again. Good thing his spider powers give him increased healing abilities, because his leg definitely felt better. As long as it isn't messed with today, he should be okay.

Changing his clothes, brushing his teeth, and doing all the usual things to get ready for school, Peter ran downstairs. "Hey, Aunt May!" he said, grabbing his lunch. "Bye, Aunt May!" he added, running out the door before Aunt May could get a word in.

"Peter! You didn't eat your breakfast! Peter!" she yelled, but her voice was falling on deaf ears at this point.

She sighed heavily, shaking her head.

"What am I going to do with that boy?"

Midtown High

Hey look, Peter actually made it on time to school today, which actually shocked some of his peers.

"Do my eyes deceive me? Is Peter Parker actually on time?" Miles joked, seeing Peter show up.

"Oh shut up, Miles." Peter said, smiling. "It isn't that surprising, right?"

Gwen, Miles, and Harry were all silent when Peter asked his question. Their silence was all Peter needed for their answer.

"Woooowwww. Okay, I see how it is." Peter added, looking at his friends.

"You weren't always like this. But ever since junior year, you've been late to literally almost everything." Harry explained.

Gwen would agree. "Yeah, I'll say that's when it started too."

"Being bit by a radioactive spider can do that to a person." Peter thought to himself, still looking at his friends.

"But anyway, enough about ganging up on Peter." Miles said, getting closer to Peter as he wrapped his arm around his shoulder, having a big grin on his face. "How'd it go with tutoring Felicia last night?"

"You mean before or after he ditched me?"

The group turned around to see Felicia, being absolutely shocked at what she said. Peter looked like he was a deer caught in headlights, dreading this very moment.

"What?! You ditched her?!" Harry repeated, not believing what he was hearing. He didn't think Peter would be stupid enough to ditch the great Felicia Hardy. "Oh no, Pete. I'm sorry buddy, but you dropped the ball on this one."

"You're not helping!" Peter replied, clearly being annoyed while looking at Harry. Then he looked back at Felicia. "Felicia, I'm really, really sorry. But you know, I had to, uh, go back and take pictures of Spider-Man, you know! Heh heh, I mean, it is my job! How else am I gonna get paid?!"

Peter was essentially the titanic right now. This dude was sweating bullets.

"Relaaaaax, Peter. If you think I came to yell at you, then you're sadly mistaken."

Peter tilted his head, now being confused. "I'm sorry, what?"

"I'm not mad. It's your job to take pictures of Spider-Man. After what you told me last night, I understand." Felicia was… oddly calm about everything. Saying that the group is surprised would be the understatement of the century.

Peter started rubbing the back of his head, feeling awkward about everything. "Soooo… You still want me to tutor you, even after I ditched you?"

"Yes." Felicia casually replied. "Are we done with this yet? Seriously Peter, you're overreacting wayyyy too much."

Peter had a sigh of relief, not thinking this is how the conversation with Felicia would go at all. "Welllll… Okay then. I'm glad you're not ma-"

"MORNING, PARKER!"

That's the voice of no one other than Flash Thompson, kicking Peter right in the leg, which is the same exact leg that got shot last night. In turn, this re-aggravated his leg, causing Peter to immediately fall down and hold it in pain.

"Jesus, you fell down even quicker than you usually do!" Flash teased, beginning to laugh as his entourage arrived just in time to join in on the fun.

Peter's been getting bullied by Flash for a good amount of years now, and there is such a thing as a breaking point.

Or the straw that broke the camel's back.

You choose the phrase.

Regardless, this is what Peter is feeling right now. Also, knowing he had the strength to punch Flash into next week if he really wanted to wasn't making things any easier.

"Eugene, can you please do me a favor and shut up for once?"

The whole world stopped, everybody in the school being shocked. Peter not only defended himself for the first time, like, ever, but nobody calls Flash freakin' Eugene.

Nobody.

This triggered something in Flash, immediately kicking Peter in the gut, while giving another kick to the leg that was shot. He was about to kick him again until somebody else got tired of his crap.

Harry grabbed Flash from behind, yelling, "Leave him alone!"

"Or what?" Flash mockingly asked.

"Or his father will fire your father." Liz said, everybody laughing at the joke.

Flash shook Harry off him, causing the boy to fall to the floor. Harry wouldn't have much time to react, though, because Flash immediately grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "What's daddy gonna do? Sue me?"

"ENOUGH, FLASH!" Peter yelled, still holding his leg in pain but he had enough energy to give him a piece of his mind. "I can't believe we were ever friends! We used to hang out all the time when we were kids. You were over my house almost every day, but then you changed as you got older. You wanted to be seen as cool and popular. Well NEWSFLASH, FLASH, these people don't give a crap about you! Me?! I was there from the beginning! But nope, since I wasn't cool, you thought hanging out with me wouldn't make you well liked around the school, huh?!"

Peter wasn't done.

"And you know what?! You know what really let me know about how much you changed?!" Peter said, now getting up, but was walking with a slight limp. "When my Uncle Ben died, yes, the same Uncle Ben you looked up to because your father was an ABUSIVE ALCHOHOLIC, you still didn't care about me! You never asked how I was doing, I didn't hear a single word from you!"

Everybody was absolutely stunned at Peter's rant. They've never ever seen him quite this pissed off before.

"So, go ahead! Punch me, kick me, do everything you wanna do so you can look cool! You'll only prove my point!"

Flash, Harry, Gwen, Miles, Felicia, and everyone else stood in silence, the words of Peter kept on going through everyone's mind. Heck, at this point, the whole school was watching this.

Peter was the only one in the school who knew about Flash's past, which is why he brought up his abusive alcoholic father. Did Peter go too far by bringing it up? Probably. Though, this was more than just years of bullying. This was a feeling of betrayal, a betrayal of an old friend who meant a whole lot to Peter back in the day.

But now?

Well, you decide how Peter feels.

"What in the blazes is going on here?!" Principal Lee shouted, getting in the middle of everything.

Peter remained silent, before turning away. He was done with this situation.

He was hurt, even after all these years. That much was obvious.

"Nothing, Principal Lee. I'm done here."

He would end on that note, walking away with his limp and all. Flash still wasn't able to say anything, as everyone watched Peter walk away from the commotion.

Principal Lee looked at Peter walk away, and would advise everyone else to do the same. "Well? What are ya kids waiting for?! Get to class!"

The kids would eventually listen to Principal Lee, but the words of Peter Parker still remained fresh in their minds.

Though, a certain platinum blonde would feel excruciatingly bad for Peter, as it seemed like the whole school carried a somber aura.

"Peter…" Felicia muttered, feeling absolutely terrible and became worried for her friend.
