Spider-Man: Fire and Desire
Author's Note: WE ARE BAAAAAAACK WITH CHAPTER 10! WOOOOO! *Ric Flair Voice* I would have liked to update this a bit earlier, but you know, life. Speaking of life, I graduated from college! I am tired… so, so tired… but relieved. You guys know what this means, right? Since it's summer break, that means I have a lot more free time to update my fics!
I'll put an emphasis on 'summer break,' though, because I do plan on going back to college to get another degree so I can kill myself even more, lol. That's obviously going to play a role in how often I update my fics, but again, this is when summer break ends. FOR NOW, you guys have my undivided attention. It's gonna be a GOOD summer for all my fics, ESPECIALLY this one.
Before we get into chapter 10, imma reply to some reviews!
ElburR0: Appreciate your kind words! And bringing Spider-Man 2099 into this? Hmmmm… Well, guess you're gonna have to keep reading to find out if he shows up. And Mr. Torgue Flexington? Haha, now that you pointed it out, it does make sense.
UI Ghosty: Sorry about the wait for this chapter! Life always finds a way of kicking the crap outta me, lol. And trust me, I'm well aware of who Superior Spidey is. Will he show up in this story, though?! That is classified information!
SalazaSAUCE Neo: Thank you! To answer your question, this version of Peter has organic webbing. As for Zombie Spidey, Tobey Spidey, Andrew Spidey, and even Nicholas Hammond… Classified stuff, but keep reading!
anoyak111: You want more? Then you'll get more!
SpiderCatForever: This is your favorite Spidey/Cat fanfic? Awww, I'm touched. And indeed, my fanfic takes a lot of inspiration from Spectacular. Speaking of which, I need to rewatch it again, lol. Now, once again for Spider-Man 2099, I fully realize he's a popular choice. BUT, will he be in this story?! Top secret information! However, I can confirm this. Yes, Spidey and Cat will be together romantically during the story. And no, it won't be at the end either. I can't say when it'll happen. (Well, technically I can since I do know 'when' they're going to get together, I'm just not revealing when. I'm a troll, I know. Lol)
Akira-Hayama: Haha, I can confirm that there won't be a love triangle among Spidey, Cat, and Deadpool… At least, I think it won't happen. If a love triangle ever happened, I think it would be with other characters. But then you have to ask will there be a love triangle of any kind in this story? That… I can't confirm, because if I'm being honest, even I'm not sure, LOL. As for Peter and Eddie being friends, that is definitely going to be a main thing that drives this story. And Peter having a honeymoon phase, well, he definitely started it in the last chapter, but how long will it last? All I can say is read on!
Spidey-Boy21: Thank you so much! As for your opinion on Peter being the only Spider-Man in his universe, your concerns are completely valid. Peter figuring this whole thing out by himself, (or mostly by himself) would definitely be a huge moment for his character.
josereyes121367: Oh boy, lots of stuff to reply to here! You're certainly right when it comes to communication being a theme for the relationship of Peter and Felicia, in and out the mask. And yes, good eye for noticing one of the things I'm doing with Peter and Eddie. It will only be amplified when Cletus comes into the picture, haha. As for 90's Spidey and his series as a whole, you and I share similar opinions. For me, Tobey's Spidey was the first version of Spider-Man I've ever seen, and 90's Spidey was the second version, so both of them are very close to my heart. I also know what you mean when it came to MJ in that series. I understand that Peter and MJ are supposed to be together, but for a minute it did kinda look like the writers were setting up Cat and Spidey to be together. I guess that was the point, though, because Peter's love life is usually confusing, lol.
And yep, one of the main reasons I brought 90's Spidey in here was to finally give his story some closure. To this day, the way the 90's series ended still hurts me, because it ended on a freakin' cliffhanger! Oh brother… just imagine going through this pain two other times. Oh wait, we all did because Spectacular Spider-Man season 3 got cancelled! And before that, Spider-Man: The New Animated series got cancelled too! PAIN. While 90's Spidey is in this story, I always thought about giving him his own fanfic, like how Season 6 of the 90's series would have turned out. I'm not sure if I'll do it now, since in concept, I'm kinda writing about this idea already? But in a different way compared to how the 90's show would have done it? Eh. If you guys want a fanfic like that, let me know. Anything's possible.
Noir definitely had a hard life. I can confirm that him seeing the Felicia of my universe will definitely bring some… interesting interactions. I can confirm there are more heroes in this universe. And will Miles ever get his powers? It remains to be seen. Finally, for Felicia's and Peter's next interaction under the mask… I'll repeat the same words I've said many times already… CLASSIFIFED!
Good Lord, that was a lot to reply to, and we haven't even gotten into the actual chapter yet… By the way, it's been like a year and one month since I started this story, so I guess you can call this a one-year anniversary chapter? Idk, haha. Let's just get started.

Chapter 10: Big Change Part 2
EARTH-616
BGM: The Incredibles – The Glory Days
A woman with brown hair, green eyes, and a slim frame was currently perched on a building, the wind blowing her hair as she looked over New York City. She was currently wearing a costume, most of it being red, but she had yellow on her gloves, abdomen, and farther down her legs. One of the most notable things about her costume was that she had underarm webs.
She was also wearing a mask that covered the top half of her face, the eyes resembling that of Peter Parker's iconic Spider-Man mask. The main difference, though, was that this woman's mask had an upside-down yellow triangle placed on the middle of her forehead. Under the mask, she had green eyes and was actually quite pretty.
The day was going just about as normal as any other day for this woman.
Which, to be clear, wouldn't last too long.
A sudden, bright light would appear right in front of the woman, somewhat blinding her. She was about to get on her guard, at first thinking she was being ambushed.
But then she heard a voice.
"Jessica, darling! How have you been?"
The light would soon go away, the woman soon being able to see clearly again and saw no one other than Madame Web.
This woman's name, as Madame Web already said, was Jessica.
Jessica Drew, AKA Spider-Woman.
Not knowing how to take Madame Web's sudden appearance, Jessica would ask her a question.
"Should I be scared by your sudden appearance? It's usually never good news." Jessica said, her tone being serious.
What would follow afterwards was a slight giggle from Madame Web. "What is it with you and these other Spider people thinking that whenever I show up, bad news is on the horizon?"
Jessica folded her arms, her face giving a 'did she really just ask that question' look. "Because that's how you usually do things?" responded Jessica, clearly suspecting something was wrong.
Madame Web casually shrugged. "Well, I can't say you're wrong." she agreed, making Jessica sigh deeply.
"As I suspected." said Jessica, pausing for a moment. "So, go ahead and tell me why you're bothering me instead of Peter."
Madame Web started tapping her chin. "While I could very easily bother Mr. Parker, and I still might do so in the future, I figured you would be a better fit for this mission."
Jessica's eyes slightly widened at this, now being curious on what this mission Madame Web was talking about. "This is the part where I ask you what the mission is, right?"
Madame Web gave a confirming nod, but it could also be looked at as a nod of approval. A small smirk would form on her face. "Clever girl. You know how this works."
BACK TO THE MAIN UNIVERSE
Aunt May's House
Well, here we go again. It was another school day, and Peter Parker was sleeping in. It was a different type of sleep, though. For the first time in a long time, his rest was rather peaceful. I guess that's what happens when you decide to not carry all of New York on your shoulders anymore.
His alarm clock started to beep, waking him up which made Peter sigh a bit. "Shame… Haven't had a good night's rest like that in a looong time." he told himself, maneuvering his hand to hit the alarm clock, causing it to stop beeping. He looked at his clock, and for once, he actually had some time to spare.
No need to rush.
An anomaly when it comes to the life of Peter Parker.
Heck, he could actually eat breakfast at the table instead of running out the door like he usually does.
A smile formed on his face, stretching a bit as he let out one final yawn. "I think I'm gonna enjoy this."
As he started to become more aware of his surroundings, though, he noticed that things seemed… a bit blurrier than usual. He was wide awake, so that wasn't the issue.
Strange. Very, very strange. Did he need to wear his old glasses again? He hasn't worn those since he got his powers.
That thought ran through his mind for a moment, his eyes slightly widening at the development. Was that the reason why his vision was blurry? Did he not have his powers anymore? Was it all a mental game?
"Weird…" Peter told himself, finding his old glasses and put them on. As soon as he did, he could see again.
Deciding not to think about this too much, Peter would get ready for school. He started to put on his clothes, brush his teeth, and do all the things a person does who gets ready for school. Once he was ready, he was about to go downstairs until he felt a sudden sharp pain in his stomach, stopping him dead in his tracks.
He held his stomach, his breathing starting to become heavier for a few short moments. He stood in place for a good minute, until the pain finally went away.
"What was that?" Peter silently asked himself, still holding onto his stomach and looked at it. He couldn't feel the pain now, but he could've sworn he was one misstep away from falling down the stairs.
There's only one conclusion he could come to. "I still might be recovering from the beatdown Kingpin gave me. Only thing I can think of." he told himself, not deciding to be overly worried about it.
But was that the problem? Did his fight with Kingpin really cause the sharp pain in his stomach?
Who knows?
Feeling better, Peter walked downstairs, seeing that Aunt May was making waffles. "Good morning, Aunt May."
"Good morning, Peter." she replied sweetly, getting ready to put the waffles on plates. "How'd you sleep?"
"Like a baby." Peter replied, grinning.
"Well, I certainly haven't heard you say that in a long time." Aunt May noticed, setting the waffles on the table. As she was about to sit down, she took a good look at her nephew and noticed something else. "My goodness, I haven't seen those glasses in a long time either."
Peter shrugged. "Well, ya know, I figured I would change my look again." he replied casually, sitting down. "I also figured I would eat breakfast without rushing out the door for once." he said, grabbing a fork and knife, beginning to cut his waffle.
Aunt May wasn't sure how to take this behavior. It's like she was happy that Peter was trying to make some much needed changes in his life, but since these changes were happening so suddenly, she couldn't help but to be a tad bit suspicious.
"Peter, are you alright?" Aunt May inquired, still not sure what to think of this development.
"Trust me, Aunt May. I've never been better." Peter replied, his tone being about as honest as you could get. Once he finished his waffles, he came over to Aunt May and kissed her on the cheek. Afterwards, he would grab his lunch and begin to wave. "Gotta get to school, love you!" he exclaimed, walking out the door and closed it.
"Love… you… too?" Aunt May managed to say, clearly being confused. She definitely had her suspicions, but maybe she was overreacting. Maybe Peter was truly trying to take serious steps in making his life better.
If there wasn't anything else to the story, she will leave him alone.
Midtown High
"Well, guys, the Oscorp fieldtrip is today. Excited?" Gwen asked, as Miles would agree with her.
"Totally!" he said.
"I'm thrilled. Overjoyed, even." Harry sarcastically said, his sarcasm pretty much dripping all over the place.
"Oh, come on, Harry. That's gonna be your company one day!" Miles pointed out, making Harry sigh loudly.
"That goes into my point. I've seen and been in Oscorp so many times that I'm pretty much traumatized from all my experiences." Harry said, clearly not looking forward to this. "To be honest, I don't understand your excitement and Gwen's excitement. You guys have seen Oscorp so many times too."
"True," Gwen replied, raising her index finger in the air. "But we haven't seen what they've been working on recently."
Gwen's point made Harry rub his forehead, proceeding to shake his head. He would look over to Felicia, asking her, "How about you, Miss Popular? You ever been to Oscorp?"
Funny thing about that… Felicia has been to Oscorp. More than a couple times, actually.
But, uh, she was the Black Cat in those situations. What was she doing in Oscorp?
She wouldn't tell you, but I'm sure you can already guess if she was in her Black Cat costume.
"Nope." Felicia lied, and it was easy for her to do so since she's done it so many times. Probably not the greatest skill to have, but hey, it could be useful at times. "Honestly, though, I could care less about this field trip."
Harry grinned. "Finally, somebody's on my side."
Felicia nodded. "Not for the same reasons you have," she clarified. "I mainly wish Peter was here with us." On that note, her voice had a bit of sadness in it, causing Harry, Gwen, and Miles to look down.
They didn't forget about Peter, they just didn't want to acknowledge the whole thing, because thinking about their friend in an injured state was tough.
"Yeah…" Gwen trailed off, the mood becoming somber because of Felicia's words. "I wish he was here too."
"If we're allowed to, we can take some pictures and send them to him. That way, he won't be completely left out." Miles suggested.
"Aww, you guys would do that for me? I'm touched."
The voice came from behind Miles, making Harry, Gwen, and Felicia have a clear view on who was speaking, and it's safe to say they were majorly surprised.
"Yeah, we would definitely do that for you Pete-" It was at this moment Miles stopped, his eyes getting big when he replayed the voice in his head. "Wait a minute!" he shouted, turning around and being in complete shock. "Pete?!"
"The one and only." Peter said, having a big smile on his face. Immediately, Harry, Gwen, and Miles ran up to him, giving him a group hug. Peter wasn't quite prepared for this, but he went along with it by hugging his friends back.
"I don't even know how this is possible, but… I'm glad you're okay." Gwen said, all of them soon ending the group hug and giving each other some space.
"Like, for real man, how are you back on your feet so soon?" Harry inquired, not believing his own eyes. "And you're wearing glasses again?" he noticed, his mind trying to compute everything. "This doesn't make any sense."
Peter shrugged, trying to come up with something on the fly. "Uhhh… Well, the doctor made me work out, get plenty of rest, and you know, eat some green vegetables."
BGM: Elvin Bishop – Fooled Around and Fell in Love
Felicia couldn't help but slightly laugh at Peter's comment. "I can't tell whether you're being serious or if you're joking. Regardless, it was funny."
Honestly, for Peter, he was half serious, half joking. But then a smirk appeared on his features. "Hey, if my misery is able to make you laugh, then that's fine with me." Now on that part, he was fully joking. "By the way," he paused, his smirk never going away. "I could've sworn that I got the impression you missed me, because I heard you wished I was here."
Felicia crossed her arms, rolling her eyes a little, but not in an annoyed manner. "Whatever." she replied, having her own smirk. Moments afterwards, she came closer to Peter and they hugged each other. "Do us all a favor and don't scare us like that again, okay? I mean, my science grade literally rests in your hands. What would I do without my tutor?"
She was being playful about the tutor part, but also very serious when it came to Peter's wellbeing. It's safe to say he got the message.
"Don't worry. I'll be here." Peter said, the two ending their hug. In mere moments, though, another person would greet him with happiness, the greeting itself being a pat on the back. It would unfortunately cut the moment between Peter and Felicia short, as this dude was 'you know what' blocking.
"Wassup, man? Glad you're feeling better." Flash said, making Peter smile.
"After all the beatdowns you gave me, it's gonna take a whole lot more to keep me down." Peter joked, as Flash could only laugh.
"Glad to see I helped in some capacity." Flash spoke, but the whole 'beatdown' thing had to make him bring something up. He turned around to speak to his entourage, saying, "Alright people, listen up! From this day forward, we don't mess with Peter Parker or his nerd crew anymore, got it?!"
"I never messed with them in the first place." A deep voice said, revealing himself to be Randy 'Rand' Robertson. Brown eyes, a bit muscular, tall, and always had some type of Midtown High varsity jacket on like Flash and every other football player, this was the son of Robbie Robertson.
"I'm guilty, but I won't do it again." Another voice said, being the voice Kenny 'Kong' McFarlane. Definitely a bigger guy, while also being bald and had brown eyes.
"As long as their nerd cooties don't come our way, then I guess we won't mess with them anymore." Sally Avril said, her appearance having blonde hair, violet eyes, and had cheerleader attire on.
Liz Allan sighed at Sally's comment. "Nerd cooties? Really?"
Sally rolled her eyes. "Don't act like you weren't thinking the same thing at one point!"
While all of this was going on, a sound would travel throughout the hallways, signaling that a school announcement was about to happen. "Attention students, this is Principal Lee! As you all know, the Oscorp fieldtrip is today, but that's not what I'm here to talk about. Everyone is required to come to the auditorium, effective immediately! Excelsior!"
That's when the announcement would end, the students now figuring they have to go to the auditorium.
Auditorium
As the students made their way to the auditorium and sat down, Principal Lee was on the podium with a man standing right next to him. To describe the man's appearance, he had short brown hair, brown eyes, and a black suit.
"Who's that guy?" Miles asked.
Harry shrugged. "I can only assume Principal Lee is going to tell us who he is."
Principal Lee cleared his throat, before speaking into the mic. "Testing, testing. Ah, there we go!" After he checked to make sure the sound was working properly, he would begin his announcement. "Hello students! I've brought you all in here today to make a very important announcement. To make a long story short, I've been the principal of this high school for many, many years now. Not only the principal, but the janitor, a teacher, you know, all of that good stuff!"
"That includes somehow being a doctor on the side." Gwen muttered, still trying to wrap her head around the whole thing.
"Hey, it's Principal Lee. The dude can literally do anything." Flash pointed out, making a good point.
The announcement of Principal Lee would soon continue. "I'm a very busy man, and at this stage of my career, I acknowledge that I need some extra assistance. So, I'm very happy to announce that for the first time in Midtown High's history, an assistant principal will be helping me! Students, allow me to introduce you to Mr. Phil Coulson!"
The students, out of respect, started clapping for Mr. Coulson when he came to the mic. "Greetings students. I'm very honored to be your new assistant principal here at Midtown High. I believe that having a good foundation on education starts from the top. It doesn't get any better than Principal Lee, but I do hope to leave a positive lasting impact on your lives as well. If any of you need me for anything, I'll be here to help."
Saying his little speech, Principal Lee would come back to take over the mic again. "Oh, but that's not all I have for you folks! I have one more announcement!"
Almost every student in Midtown High sighed in unison, wanting this thing to be over at this point.
BGM: Blue Swede – Hooked on a Feeling
"Today, we have a new student. She just transferred over here, and I figured we should give her a big, warm welcome! Because over here at Midtown High, we're family!" stated Principal Lee. "Fun fact, she's a big-time theatre student, so you will most certainly find her in the plays! Allow me to introduce you all to Mary Jane Watson!"
Once Mary Jane was called to speak, she stopped hiding behind the curtains and walked to speak in the mic. Once everyone could get a good look at her…
Oh dear Lord, the boys were losing their minds.
She was HOT.
Long red hair, green eyes, white tank top, blue jeans, red shoes, while carrying an aura that just screamed confidence, just in a mere few seconds, she was already popular.
Every guy, whether they were single or not single, started clapping like they witnessed the greatest concert on Earth. Whistles on top of whistles were heard throughout the auditorium, as it effectively turned into a madhouse.
"Who… is that?!" Harry exclaimed, trying to control himself the best he could.
"She's HO-" Flash was about to finish, but then he noticed Liz was giving him the side eye. This made him change up his sentence real quick. "I mean, she's not hotter than you, babe! Obviously not!"
"I have a weakness for redheads, I have a weakness for redheads, I have a weakness for redheads…" Peter repeatedly thought to himself once he saw Mary Jane. Once he kept looking at her, though, he tilted his head. "Wait a minute, have I seen her before?" he asked himself, noticing that Mary Jane looked familiar. "Wait a minute… Mary Jane Watson…?"
As Peter thought to himself even more, he finally made some connections.
FLASHBACKS
"I think it's time to go home…" Peter said, being mentally and physically drained from everything. As he was about to swing off, he heard his phone ringing. He pulled it out and saw that it was Aunt May who was calling him.
Accepting the call, he put it close to his ear. "Hello?"
"Peter, where are you? It's getting late." Aunt May asked with concern.
"I'm on my way Aunt May, don't worry." Peter told her, Aunt May having a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness. Oh, while I have you right now, have you thought about the person you're taking to prom this year?"
Prom? Asking about prom when the school year has only just begun? When it's months away?
Peter slightly laughed. "Aunt May, prom is like, months away. I have some time to think about it."
"But it's always nice to have a head start!" Aunt May proclaimed. "I was just talking to Anna Watson about her niece, Mary Jane. She seems like such a lovely girl. That's the type of girl you should take to prom."
Peter rubbed his temples, sighing silently when he pretty much heard Aunt May was trying to play matchmaker. It was only the first day and prom was already being a thorn in his side. Granted, he has no idea what Mary Jane looks like, but blind stuff, more specifically blind dates, when does that ever work out well?
"I'm sure she is," Peter quickly replied, wanting to get this conversation over with.
"Help!"
Spider-Man looked to the right, seeing there was a girl who needed help. If he didn't get to her in time, she was going to get annihilated.
He can't let that happen.
"Hold on!" Spidey said, shooting out a web as he swung towards the girl, grabbing her just in time before the blast could destroy her. Getting her away from the blasts, Spider-Man put her down. "Are you okay, miss?"
The girl was panting, but she would make sure to show her thanks. "Yeah…" She looked up to Spidey, showing a genuine smile. "Thanks, Spider-Man. You're a lifesaver."
As the girl thanked him, it's like Spidey went into a trance. He didn't notice it at first since the first thought in his mind was getting the girl to safety, but when he got a better look at her…
Yeah, she was hot.
Red hair, green eyes, and an aura about her that carried a certain confidence… It's safe to say Spidey was attracted to her.
God, what is it with him and redheads?
Spider-Man cleared his throat, not wanting things to become awkward. "Ahem. Well, I'm glad you're okay. Though, I would advise you to run away as far as possible."
The redhead gave a salute, taking Spider-Man's advice as she began to run. "Way ahead of you, Tiger!" Eventually, she was out of sight, causing Spidey to shake his head.
"I realllllly have a problem when it comes to redheads…" he told himself, sighing deeply.
END OF FLASHBACKS
Once he made all the connections, Peter's eyes widened out of realization and pure shock.
"Wait… THIS WAS THE GIRL AUNT MAY WAS TRYING TO SET ME UP WITH?!" he yelled in his mind.
Now he felt like an idiot for acting so casual about it in the past. Who knew Aunt May could be the ultimate wingwoman?
When the chaos finally started to settle down some, Mary Jane would start speaking. "Hi everyone. My name is obviously Mary Jane, but you guys can call me MJ. Happy to spend the rest of my senior year here."
"YOU'RE BREATHTAKING!" a guy called out, making MJ laugh a bit, so she would play along.
She would dramatically point to the guy in the audience, yelling back, "NO, YOU'RE BREATHTAKING!"
The crowd of students erupted once again, the auditorium turning back into an absolute madhouse.
Oscorp Industries
After the announcements were made at Midtown High, the students were now officially on their Oscorp fieldtrip. Being outside the building, the guide would give his directions. "Midtown High Seniors," he began, but by the corner of his eye, he saw Flash playing with a football.
"No wandering," the guide continued, "Proceed direct- Mr. Thompson, would you knock it off?"
"Sorry, sorry." Flash said, making the guide sigh loudly.
"Remember, it is a privilege to be here. We are guests, so behave accordingly. Let's not have a repeat of our trip to Empire State last year." he told them all. Once he gave his directions, they all entered Oscorp, and were met with a vast array of amazing tech.
This place was heaven for nerds.
While Peter, Gwen, Miles, and any other nerd felt like they were indeed in heaven, Harry felt the exact opposite, since he was in this place again.
While some sightseeing was being done, the students stopped when they saw a worker who was apparently waiting for them. This worker was a woman who had long, wild brown hair with multiple purple highlights, hazel eyes, a white lab coat, and circular glasses.
"Welcome, Midtown High students! I am Doctor Olivia Octavius. We're happy to have you here." she expressively said. "Today, we're going to show you all a variety of things, with the first thing being spiders."
When Olivia Octavius said spiders, it's safe to say Peter was going through PTSD.
"Wait, Olivia Octavius?" Felicia repeated. She looked at Peter, asking him a question. "Is she related to Otto Octavius?"
Felicia's question made Peter snap out of it. "Wha- Oh, yeah, yeah!" he said, picking up on what Felicia said. "Olivia Octavius and Otto Octavius are related. Sister and brother." he confirmed, knowing this since he followed this stuff.
"Otto used to work here at Oscorp, but he left." Miles added.
Felicia raised an eyebrow. "Why is that?"
Gwen shrugged. "Maybe Harry knows?"
Harry nodded. "Don't know, don't care." he honestly replied. He really could care less.
"But shouldn't you care?" somebody else said, the person being Ava Ayala. "It's going to be your company one day."
That's about the billionth time that was said to Harry.
"I swear, all of you sound like my father sometimes…" Harry spoke, not choosing to specify if that was supposed to be an insult or not.
Regardless, most of the students all started walking to where the spiders were, except for two students. The guide noticed there were a couple of students missing, looking back and seeing two girls still analyzing the other tech.
"Excuse me, Miss Khan and Miss Corazon! Are you two going to be staring in space all day?"
"Our bad, our bad." the Khan girl said, her name being Kamala Khan. Brown eyes, brown hair, black shirt and black pants with yellow accents around them. On her feet, she had blue shoes. "Come on, Anya. Don't want him to lose it." she told her friend, slightly joking.
Anya giggled. "Agreed." As for Anya's appearance, much like her friend, she had brown eyes, longer brown hair, but wore a blue shirt with blue pants. She also wore pink shoes. It wouldn't be too much longer before the two caught up with the rest of their classmates.
As Olivia Octavius began speaking again, she started to show all the spiders Oscorp was researching. All of them were in containers, so there was noooo possible way they could get out…
Right?
"And over here, we have Spider-1610 and Spider-65…" Olivia said, but then she noticed…
Those two spiders weren't in their containers.
The students noticed this too, but you wanna know who was the first one to notice this?
You know, the guy that kinda got bit last year and was trying to forget he ever became Spider-Man in the first place?
"That's odd... Well, I guess they're doing more research on those two. Anyway, moving along," Olivia casually said, leading the Midtown High students to see the other spiders.
Peter was standing still, though, looking up and down for these spiders. "They're coming back for me…! I'm trying to quit, and they're coming back for me!" Peter thought to himself, having an existential crisis and the most vicious war flashbacks. Would he get bitten a second time?
Oh good grief, just imagine if he did.
"Peterrrrr." Felicia said, snapping her fingers to snap him out of it again. "Are you okay?"
Once again, Peter would act like nothing was wrong. "I'm fine, I'm fine."
"You sure?" Felicia asked, crossing her arms. "This is the second time you've zoned out." Her voice did carry some worry. Heck, after seeing Peter in a near-death state in the hospital, and thinking that he actually did die for a moment, she was concerned about him. Heck, she's not even sure if he should be here right now. Did he come back too quickly?
"Felicia, I'm good. Trust me." Peter told her, as they began to walk with the rest of the students.
BGM: Spider-Man Unlimited Theme
On one side of the room, Miles was busy looking at the spiders, taking pictures with his phone. "I'm sure these guys bite hard. Good thing they're in those containers, because nothing can happen to me-OW!"
Miles felt like something bit him on his hand, and his suspicions would prove to be correct. An all-black spider with a red emblem on top of it would jump off his hand and crawl away on the floor.
Welp, his life just changed forever.
Then on the opposite side of Miles, Gwen was doing the same thing. You know, looking at the other spiders. Being unaware of what was coming above, though, a white, black, and purple spider would bite her on the hand. "Ow!" she silently yelled to herself, seeing what was on her hand. Before she could get to it, the spider jumped off her hand and crawled away, just like Miles' spider did.
Welp, her life just changed forever too.
IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE…
EARTH-12131
BGM: Spider-Man 2 – Doctor Octopus Theme
The Spider-Man in this universe… was a bit different compared to others. The top half of his suit was mostly red, but the bottom half consisted of black. The spider emblem on his chest was black too. Behind his back, he had four mechanical arms, all of them being a crimson red color.
He was looking at an important orb, holding it in his hands.
What was he holding in his hands?
Tritium.
"The power of the sun… In the palm of my hand." he said, smirking under his mask.
He was about to begin his research on it, until a bright light flashed right in front of his eyes.
"I advise you to put the tritium down, Octavius. That didn't go so well for you in another universe." The voice was speaking to… wait, Octavius?
It was Madame Web's voice to be specific, but Peter Parker was Spider-Man, not Otto Octavius.
Unless… he actually was Spider-Man.
The Superior-Spider Man.
Peter Parker, or more specifically, Otto Octavius in Peter Parker's body, turned around to face Madame Web. "What are you doing here?"
"Here to warn you of something." Madame Web explained.
Otto sighed deeply. "Let me guess, the universe is at stake?"
"Well…" Madame Web paused, before confirming Otto's guess. "Yes. And if it isn't dealt with, you won't exist anymore."
Otto's eyes widened, now giving his full, undivided attention to Madame Web once he heard this.
Madame Web would also add this. "I'm sure the Superior Spider-Man would still want to exist, correct? Besides, your expertise is greatly needed."
Under the mask, Otto's face became determined, wondering what in the world Madame Web was leading up to.
So, he would say these three words.
"Tell me everything."

Author's Note: HOOOOOO BOOOYYYY! That was a lot to put in for this chapter. Goodness gracious, it seems like new characters are always making an appearance these days, huh?
