"It was great movie," Faith said, sitting across from Susie, on the patio Crimson Lights, "There was lots of action and the heroes saved the day at the end. There was some sweet romantic moments too. I wouldn't mind watching it again."

Twisting her lemonade glass, between her hands, Susie said, "Sounds nice."

"You and I should go to the movies soon," Faith said.

"Yeah, I guess so," Susie said, sitting back in her chair.

"You're still thinking about your Mom," Faith said.

"About how she's in that place?" Susie said, "Yeah, it bothers me. I feel like everyone knows too."

"It happened in a public place and people love to record these types of things," Faith said, "I don't approve of it and just so you know, I haven't watched any of the videos on line."

"My Dad said, he got most of them taken down, but it had already gone viral," Susie said, "Woman flips out over ex and new girlfriend."

"I know it's your Mom, but you should ignore those postings," Faith said, "All those people want is to see how many hits and likes they get. They don't care who gets hurt in the process."

"I feel said, that she feels sad," Susie said.

"You know, she's getting treatment," Faith said, "She may be doing better already. How long has it been, a couple of weeks?"

"Twelve days," Susie said, "Long days."

"Think of it this way," Faith said, "In twelve more days, she will be home soon. It's like my Mom always says, take things one day at a time."

"I've gone as long without seeing her before," Susie said, "But to know, I can't see her, because she's in a psychiatric hospital, makes so hard to be away from her. She must be hating it there. I don't know if I could stand a place like that."

"I've heard it's a good facility," Faith said, "My Mom had to stay there once too."

"I didn't know that," Susie said.

"We don't talk about it ," Faith said, "I was pretty young and away at school then."

"It must be awful for both of them," Susie said, "I've heard some horror stories about those places."

"Most of that is just made up stuff," Faith said, "Another thing my Mom says, there is no shame in getting help if you need it. You Mom is doing the right thing and I'm sure she is okay."

"I miss her," Susie said.

"I'm sure you do," Faith said, "But as usual, I have a solution. Since school is starting soon…"

"Don't remind me," Susie interjected.

"Why don't we go to my grandparents for a swim, while we still have some summer left?" Faith said.

"I don't know," Susie said, "Wouldn't you rather spend time with Mr. Wonderful?"

"His name is Moses and I am spending time with you today," Faith said, "It will help take your mind off things."

Not getting an answer, Faith noticed Susie's hard stare into the coffeehouse. Faith followed Susie's gaze to the front counter where Kyle was buying a coffee.

"Ignore him," Faith said.

"I don't get him," Susie said, "He seemed like the perfect guy for my Mom and she loved him so much. I was starting to love him as a step-dad too. Then one day he throws us all away."

"Let's go out the patio door, before he sees us," Faith said.

"Too late," Susie said. Sighing she continued, "Oh, no he's coming this way."

Reaching their table, Kyle smiled and said, "Hi Susie, Faith."

"Hi," Faith quickly said. Susie stared down at the table.

"Do you two have any end of summer plans?" Kyle said.

"Are you happy now?" Susie exploded.

"I'm not sure what you mean," Kyle said.

"Let me clarify," Susie said, "My Mom is in a mental hospital, because of you!"

"Susie, let's just go," Faith said.

"I feel partly responsible," Kyle said, "But your Mom has a very serious condition and she is working to get it under control again."

"You're using her illness as an excuse?" Susie said, "It's a convenient way to let yourself off the hook."

"I'm not making excuses," Kyle said, "I care about your Mom and want her to get well. She and I are going to try to be friends, I was hoping you and I could be the same."

Looking across at Faith, Susie said, "You're right, let's go. It is way too crowded in here." She stood up and stormed towards the patio door.

"You can't blame her for being upset," Faith said.

"I get it," Kyle said.

"Just so you know," Faith said, standing up, "If you do to Summer, what you did to your wife, your bad experience with Rachel, will seem like a walk in the park. The entire Newman family will come down on you."

"I don't have any intentions of hurting Summer," Kyle said.

"I'm sure in the beginning, you felt the same way about your wife," Faith said, before walking away.

Kyle momentarily closed his eyes and sighed. Turning around, he headed back into the coffeehouse, when he realized someone was in his path. Kyle stopped in his tracks, coming face to face with Rey Rosales.

Sipping coffee at Society, Evelyn welcomed the relief of a break, after a busy morning. She was lost in her thoughts about her upcoming dinner with Jack, when the presence of someone brought her out of her daydream.

Evelyn's suspicious eyes watched Adam Newman, as he retrieved a take-out order from the bar. Thanking the cashier, Adam turned around, catching Evelyn's stare, to which she quickly averted her eyes.

Intrigued by her resemblance to a former Genoa City resident, and her apparent interest in him, Adam walked over. "Excuse me?" Adam said, reaching her table.

Evelyn looked up, as Adam smiled and said, "Wow…I apologize, it's just you look so much like…"

"I get that a lot," Evelyn said, "But you can rest assured, you are not seeing a ghost."

"I heard there was a look-alike, but this is uncanny," Adam said.

"My name is Evelyn," she said.

"Adam Newman," Adam said.

"I know who you are," Evelyn said, adding a distasteful, "And I know what you're all about."

"How's that?" Adam said.

"Everyone knows about Adam Newman," Evelyn said, "The bad, the ugly."

"What happened to the good?" Adam said.

"Interesting question," Evelyn said.

"I think we got off on the wrong foot," Adam said, "How is it you know so much about me?"

"Like I said, everyone knows," Evelyn said.

"And what is it you think you know?" Adam said.

"I know, I don't wish to talk with you anymore," Evelyn said.

"Is that why you were watching me over there?" Adam said, "You see I get the feeling there is something in particular you don't like about me. Have we met before and did I offend you somehow?"

"Could you please leave me alone and if you see me in the future, continue to do so," Evelyn said.

"Are you this gracious to everyone you meet?" Adam said, "You won't make any friends with that attitude."

"You want to run my life and make my decisions for me?" Evelyn said, annoyed, "We are not going to play that game."

"I have no idea why you are so upset with me," Adam said.

"Please go," Evelyn said.

"Gladly," Adam said, "I wish I knew what I've done to you." Adam shook his head as he walked away.

"You've done plenty," Evelyn snarled, to herself.

Eyes wide, with disbelief Kyle stared at Rey. "What's wrong, no welcome home?" Rey taunted. Kyle was still at a loss for words prompting Rey to say, "I would have thought you would be notified of my release."

"I knew you were getting out," Kyle said, "I didn't expect to run into you so soon." Backing up several steps, Kyle said, "Plus, you are supposed to be a certain distance from me."

"I know all about your restraining order," Rey said, "I'm disappointed you aren't willing to bury the hatchet."

"You held me hostage and tried to kill me," Kyle said, "I'm not interested in being your friend."

"I'm sorry you feel that way," Rey said.

"Do I have to report you for breaking the rules of the restraining order?" Kyle said.

Walking through the front entrance, Summer stopped, when she saw Kyle in a confrontation with Rey. Rushing over, Summer said, "What is going on here?"

Touching Kyle's arm, Summer said, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine," Kyle said, holding down his frustration, "The detective was just leaving." Snapping his fingers, Kyle continued, "Oh, I guess you're not a detective anymore. You will forgive me, if I don't feel sorry for you."

"Why aren't you in jail?" Summer said.

"I served my time," Rey said, "I've been granted parole."

"After what you did to Kyle, they should have thrown away the key!" Summer said. Taking Kyle's hand she continued, "Sweetie, we should go."

Looking at them, Rey smirked and said, "I'll do you a favor and not tell your wife about how cozy the two of you are."

"You are out of touch," Kyle said, "Not that it's any of your business, but my wife and I have split up."

"I don't wonder, if you are carrying on with her," Rey said, "It's a shame. I thought you and Rachel were a better match."

"Is that why you convinced her that I was dead?" Kyle said, "You tore her world apart, for nothing!"

"As you just told me, you left your wife, for another woman," Rey said, "I'm guessing you did the same thing to her world. Does that make you any better than me?"

Kyle lunged at Rey, but Summer, stepped in his path, her hands against his chest, holding him back. "Kyle…" Summer said, "Kyle, let it go. If he wants to be nasty, we will walk away."

"Not to worry, I am leaving," Rey said.

Kyle was fuming, as he watched Rey leave the coffeehouse.

"I was here earlier today," Adam was explaining, "Did anyone find a wallet?"

"Can you describe it?" Lola said, from behind the front counter at Society.

"It's brown leather," Adam said, "My driver's license, with my picture is in it."

Pulling a wallet out from behind the counter, Lola opened it to find the license inside. She looked from the wallet to Adam, before saying, "It's not a very good picture, but I believe this is yours."

"Who has a good picture on those things?" Adam said.

"I agree," Lola said, handing him the wallet.

"Thank you," Adam said.

Turning her attention to her next customer, Lola paused before she said, "Kyle."

"Hi," Kyle said.

Kyle did not say anymore, prompting Lola to say, "Can I help you?"

"Yes, I'm here to pick up a take-out order," Kyle said.

"I have it right here," Lola said. Putting it on the bar, she said, "Enjoy."

"Thanks," Kyle said, taking the bag, "You don't usually work the counter at the bar."

"Austin has the night off," Lola said, "He's packing."

"Packing for what?" Kyle said, "Is he leaving town?"

"No, he's moving," Lola said, "In with me."

Kyle paused, before he said, "You and Travers… are going to live together?"

"Yes, and we are very happy about it," Lola said.

"Are you sure…?" Kyle stopped himself, and said, "None of my business."

"No, it isn't," Lola said.

"Good luck, with your new living arrangement," Kyle said.

"Thank you," Lola said, "Excuse me I have to check the kitchen."

Adam had been lingering and noticed Kyle watching Lola walk away. "It's never easy," Adam said.

"What's that?" Kyle said.

"Dealing with ex's," Adam said.

"You can say that again," Kyle said, "Excuse me."

"Before you go," Adam said, "I wanted to ask you something."

"Which is?" Kyle said.

"Do you know this woman, she looks like Diane 2.0?" Adam said. Kyle looked at him exasperated, so Adam said, "That was insensitive. I know her name is Evelyn, have you seen her?"

"Unfortunately, I have," Kyle said.

"Sounds like I hit a nerve," Adam said, "Sorry."

"I have my issues with Miss Perkins," Kyle said.

"Perkins," Adam said, "That's her last name? Another similarity."

"I know, it's close to Jenkins," Kyle said, "Why are we talking about her?"

"I saw her earlier today and I was curious, so I went to say hello," Adam said, "From the moment I spoke to her, she nearly bit my head off."

"I wish I could say I was surprised," Kyle said, "She's been very condescending to me."

"The hostility she threw at me was out of nowhere," Adam said, "I have never met the woman before and cannot understand why she disliked me so much."

"Maybe she's heard stories about you and decided to stay away," Kyle said.

"No, there was something in her eyes, a more deep seeded, personal loathing," Adam said, "I would like to know what's going on with her."

"That makes two of us," Kyle said. Noticing Evelyn walk through the entrance, on Jack's arm, Kyle sighed, "Oh, no."

"Speak of the devil," Adam said.

"And she appears," Kyle said.

"Is she with Jack?" Adam said.

"They've been dating," Kyle said.

"That's kind of bad taste, isn't it?" Adam said, "I mean considering who she looks like."

"Tell me about it," Kyle said.

"Warn Jack to keep his eyes open where that woman is concerned," Adam said, "I get a very bad feeling something isn't right."

"I've tried, but he is too enamored with her to listen to me," Kyle said.

"Well, I am going to duck out this way," Adam said, gesturing behind him, "So, she doesn't see me."

"I'm right behind you," Kyle said

Kyle stood watching Jack and Evelyn for a few minutes, with Jack noticing Kyle as he walked away.

"Oh, hey, what's this about," Summer said, as she gently bounced a crying Diana on her knee, in the Abbott living room.

"It's okay, Daddy will be home soon," Summer said. Glancing towards the front door, Summer added, "I hope."

Summer nestled Diana's teddy bear against her, which made her cries softer. Taking the bear between both hands, Diana forgot her upset, as she moved the stuffed toy up and down with delight.

"There is that better?" Summer said.

The sound of the front door, distracted Diana, as Kyle stepped inside, takeout bag in hand.

"You remembered your address," Summer said.

"Sorry, for the delay," Kyle said, "I got held up." Noticing the drying tears on Diana's face, Kyle said, "Oh, no, what happened?"

"She was a bit fussy," Summer said, "I guess my company, isn't as good as yours."

"That's not true," Kyle said, sitting next to them, "I'm sure she likes you, every bit as much as I do."

Diana reached her arms out to Kyle, who took her onto his lap. "You were saying?" Summer said.

"Are you giving Summer a hard time?" Kyle said, "We have to be nice to her, because she loves us."

"Yes, I do," Summer said, "And one of the reasons, is because you bring home food. What's in the bag?"

"A couple of beef pies," Kyle said.

"And rolls?" Summer said.

"Of course," Kyle said, "Plus something chocolate for dessert."

"You spoil me," Summer said.

"It's one of my favorite things to do," Kyle said, leaning in for a kiss.

Diana interrupted them mid kiss, with an exclamation of, "Ah!"

Kyle and Summer both giggled, before Kyle said, "We haven't forgotten about you." Kyle leaned over and kissed his daughter's forehead.

With Diana playing on a floor mat, Kyle and Summer enjoyed their meal. Preparing to enjoy their dessert in the living room, Kyle picked up a fussy Diana. Settling her on his lap, he was not paying attention, while she grabbed a corner of his brownie and shoved it against her face.

"Hold on there," Kyle laughed.

"Oh, no," Summer giggled. With chocolate smeared all over the baby's face, Summer said, "Look at you."

"It's official," Kyle said, "She's going to be a chocoholic, just like her old man."

"You are not an old man," Summer said.

Diana tried to lean away, as Kyle wiped her face, saying, "To her, I will always be old."

Settling the baby back on the floor, Kyle sat down with a sigh, leaning his head against the couch.

"Are you tired?" Summer said.

"I feel like I've been through the ringer," Kyle said.

"Are you still upset about seeing Rey?" Summer said.

"Not just him," Kyle said, "I had an argument with my father recently, over this woman he is so fascinated with. I keep running into Evelyn and she's playing him, I just know it. Then Susie ripped into me at the coffeehouse. She blames me for her mother's predicament. Add Rey getting in my face and I feel like everyone has something against me."

"I don't," Summer said, It's just the opposite. I can't get enough of you."

"Right back at you," Kyle said.

"I can understand why Rey being free would be stressful for you," Summer said, "But he's smart enough to know, if he messes with you, he goes right back to jail."

"Let's hope so," Kyle said.

"I'm sure his sister is happy he's out," Summer said.

"Speaking of," Kyle said, "Lola had some news to share."

"Did she?" Summer said.

"Her and Austin Travers are moving in together," Kyle said.

"What?" Summer said.

"Surprised me too," Kyle said.

"Must be serious with those two," Summer said, "I don't envy her."

"I just hope she knows what she's doing," Kyle said.

"Lola is a grown woman and can make her own choices," Summer said, "If they happen to bad ones, then that's on her."

"You're right," Kyle said, rubbing one eye, "How about we put Diana to bed and turn in ourselves."

"Good plan," Summer said, as Diana began to fuss and cry," I don't think she agrees with us though."

Picking the baby up, Kyle said, "Come here, miss fussy pants." She continued to cry, as Kyle said, "What's wrong? Are you having a bad day?"

Kyle nestled Diana on his shoulder, as she continued to wail. "Maybe she's tired," Summer said, "She's been awake for awhile."

"Summer," Kyle said, stepping closer to her, "Does she feel warm to you?"

Kyle laid the back of his hand against the baby's cheek, while Summer felt her forehead. "She is pretty warm," Summer said, "Is she coming down with something?"

"Whatever it is, she's not feeling well," Kyle said, "I should take her to the hospital and get a doctor to look at her."

"Okay, I'll come with you," Summer said.

They headed towards the door, when Jack and Evelyn walked in. Hearing the cries of the baby, Jack sympathetically said, "What's going on?"

"Diana has been crying a lot," Kyle said, "She's feverish and I'm taking her to the hospital."

"Kyle," Evelyn said. Reaching her arms out she said, "May I?"

"I need to get her to the doctor," Kyle said.

"I think I might be able help," Evelyn said.

Kyle looked at Jack, who nodded. Kyle begrudgingly placed his daughter in Evelyn's arms. He frowned as Evelyn said, "I know, it's okay sweetheart."

Kyle watched as Evelyn, placed her finger in the baby's mouth, gently moving it back and forth. Diana settled and Evelyn said, "A-ha."

"What?" Kyle said.

Diana began to cry again, as Evelyn handed her back to Kyle. "Feel around in there," Evelyn said, "Along her gums." Kyle hesitated, so Evelyn said, "Go on."

Kyle put his finger in Diana's mouth, soon feeling the raised area. "Is that a tooth?" Kyle said.

"She's teething and that's painful," Evelyn said, "And sometimes it causes a fever."

"Great, what now?" Kyle said.

"There are lots of baby gels that will make it feel better," Evelyn said, "And some children's medicine for her fever. She will feeling better in no time."

"Also if you put some of her teething rings in the freezer, the cold touch will help too," Summer said.

Kyle looked at her, so Summer said, "I told you, I had a little sister once. It's all coming back to me."

"Kyle, it sounds like Evelyn, saved you a trip to the hospital," Jack said.

"It's all good advice, I appreciate the help," Kyle said, "Thank you."

"My pleasure," Evelyn said, "She's a darling baby. You two must be very proud."

"We are," Kyle said.

"Yes, but she's not mine," Summer said.

"Oh, this a baby with you wife," Evelyn said.

"Yes," Kyle said. Shifting his look to the baby he said, "And if your mommy was here, she would have known what to do. Then daddy wouldn't have made a fool of himself."

"No one thinks that," Jack said.

"I over-reacted," Kyle said.

"As a new parent, you are entitled," Jack smiled.
