A/N: There will be time jumps to the past on and off for the next chapter or two. Will do my best to make it seamless.

Pale Fire Ch. 19

TIME JUMP (3 YEARS AGO)

Rose looked over at her eldest, smiling as she watched Rhogoro begin his training with his father, it was enough to break her heart. Every day her boy grew more and more just like his father, it really wasn't going to be a surprise if he ended up taller than the man himself.

Today she was watching him properly learn how to fire a bow; while his main weapon would be his arakh when it was time, they both agreed that all of their children would be a master to many weapons. Drogo even agreed to teaching him how to fight with the weapons of the smaller men of Essos.

Turning her attention to the twins, Najo and Nalli, they were 3 almost 4, they both were impatient in the idea of having to wait another year or so before they could start learning how to ride alone and learn to use their weapons. Nalli though, she was determined to prove to her brothers that she was just as brave and strong as they were. When she was only about 2, she tried to follow her father into the woods one day on a hunt, determined to join her big brother, but when Drogo caught her, instead of punishing her, he brought her along.

At first Rose was a bit upset that he was taking a 2-year-old on a hunt, but the more she thought of it, it really didn't surprise her. Once upon a time, in what seemed like a lifetime ago, her father would take her out, have her sit in the blinds waiting for their prey. Nalli was a duplicate to her, so the next few years were probably going to be stressful for them, but in the end, it would make her a formidable woman.

Najo, on the other hand, he was brave, strong, and smart. While he wanted to do things with this brother, and the older kids, it was clear that he was a deep thinker, always weighing out his options. While his sister wanted to run off and watch, he would be found if not with his mother, near the blacksmiths, watching how they built the weapons of his people.

Currently Rose could see that Najo was attempting to make his first bow, while the wood used was cut and shaped for him, he was determined to string it himself, saying that he was a Dothraki warrior, he knew how to do it. Nalli was sitting next to him, holding the bow in place so that the string could be tight and work.

Leaning back, Rose let her eyes fall back to the training sessions with her husband and eldest, while he was still struggling to hit the target center mass, he was pretty damn close. He was impressive for 7, when his training started at the tender age of 5, he took to riding like a fish does to water. Like her, Rhogoro inherited her ability to communicate with the animals around him, it just solidified within the Khalasar who the boy was.

Standing up, Rose made her way to the twins, chuckling when they were both huddled together arguing over who got to fire their bow first. "Nalli, while he couldn't have done it without you, he did most of the work, he gets to fire it first." She said to her daughter, resisting the urge to laugh when she got what she called think stink face.

Frowning up at her mother, she just nodded, "Alight momma." Her eyes turning to her brother, almost pleading he get to it.

Najo stood up, grabbing one of the arrows that he made, his eyes falling to his mother, "Show me?" he asked her. While he understood the mechanics, he didn't know how to do it properly.

Smiling down at her son, Rose knelt down, wrapping her arms around him, properly placing the bow in his hands, "Keep you elbow bent, just slightly, never lock it, but your wrist must be steady and firm." Placing the arrow, "Breath slowly when you are drawing the string back, any little vibration could ruin your shot." She could feel his excitement, "Relax my son, now, look at where you want it to go, and just let your fingers release the sting when you're ready."

Drogo looked over at his wife, smiling as he watched her teach their youngest son, looking down at his Stallion, "Your siblings do not want to wait another year to start their training." Drogo couldn't help but feel proud of all his children, each of them were different from the other, but they all had the drive to become great Dothraki warriors, even his little Nalli.

Looking up at his father, then back to his brother and sister, "Good, the faster the two of them learn, the sooner we can ride into battle together." Excited at the prospect of riding with his siblings. Taking a second to think about it, "When do I start sparing? I am ready to start earning my braid." His eyes looking into his father's.

Placing a hand on his shoulder, Drogo couldn't help but smile, "In a few years my son, tradition is around 10 years." Chuckling at the frown on his face, "I didn't want to wait either, but it is my job not only as your father, but as the Khal of this Khalasar to keep our young warriors safe until it is time, but perhaps when the horde is winding down, I take you out to the forest, and start teaching you fighting techniques."

Smiling wide, "Yes, I would like that father." Hearing Najo and Nalli squeal, it seems that Najo while not anywhere near the center, he at least hit the target. "GREAT JOB LITTLE BROTHER!" He yelled out.

Najo looked over at his brother he could see the smile on his face, which made him so happy. Feeling proud of himself, he handed the bow over to his sister, "You're turn."

Rose couldn't help but feel lucky, her children were not only smart, but they cared about each other. Leaning over, she placed a small kiss on his forehead, "I'm proud of you my son." Turning her attention to Nalli, she correctly positioned the bow in her hands, giving her the same instructions as she did Najo, Rose couldn't help but be pleased with how well they listened.

"Ready, my little warrior?" She asked her daughter.

Nalli took a second to answer, she was a lot smaller than her brother, but she was determined to keep up with him. "Ready, momma."

"Let your eyes lead your arrow, take a second to breath, and just release." Taking her hands off the bow, Rose watched as Nalli let loose the arrow, smiling when she like her brother hit the target.

Rhogoro watched as his baby sister hit the target, handing his bow to his father, he ran straight to the both of them, "I am so proud of you both." He said, wrapping his arms around them.

Drogo couldn't help but feel pride, all of his children, even his little girl, had a natural ability to learn quickly. While his youngest didn't ride alone yet, he was certain that when they were to get their lessons, they would do just as well as his Stallion.

Making his way over to his family, he wrapped his arms around them, "I am proud of you all." Looking down at his wife, enjoying how she smiled back at him, "Moon of my life, you have blessed me with wonderful children." Placing a kiss on her lips, every day he fell more in love with her.

Wrapping her arm around his neck, "Sun and stars, you are most welcome." Her head coming to rest on his chest, enjoying the sound of his strong heartbeat.

Closing the partition that separated the children from them, Rose found her husband lying naked on their furs. Not wanting to waste a minute, she quickly removed her dress and made her way over to him, enjoying seeing his smirk, "Sun and stars, can I ride you?" She asked him, wanting to feel his cock deep within her.

Taking his cock in his hand, Drogo slowly stroked himself his eyes never leaving her body, enjoying how her hips widened after the birth of their children, "Sink your body down on my cock." He groaned out, his body humming with excitement.

Falling to her knees, Rose slowly crawled over her husband, enjoying how his eyes never left hers, always watching, always so intense. Tilting her hips, she could feel the tip of his cock teasing her clit, wanting to tease him a bit more, Rose gently rolled her hips, letting his cock push against her pussy, moaning as she did so.

"Fuck." She groaned out.

Drogo knew what she was doing, using his cock to get herself wet, "My moon, I need to feel you come undone over my cock." Sitting up, Drogo gripped her hips, lifting her off his, and held her just above the tip of his red cock. "I will hear you cry out, my moon."

Thrusting up into her body, he couldn't stop the moan that escaped him, even after all this time, the way her pussy gripped him was perfection. Warm, wet, and tight, no man should be so blessed to have such a woman as his. Keeping one hand wrapped in her hair, the other holding her waist, he drove himself hard into her body, wanting her to feel him when she moved in the morning.

Rose couldn't contain the cry that escaped her mouth when he thrusted his cock into her pussy, "My Khal. Please." She begged.

Attempting to roll her hips with him, but found that to be a bit difficult, with his hand holding her still, she knew that by the morning his fingertips would be bruises, not that she minded, she loved it when he left marked her body.

"Harder my love, please." Her voice cracking.

Rose was having a hard time keeping her head from tilting back, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, Rose let herself fall forward, pushing herself down on his cock as best she could. Wanting to make him feel good.

His eyes focusing on her tits that were bouncing in his face, seeing her pink nipple, Drogo let his tongue dart out, pulling deep into his mouth, smiling as her breathing changed, she was getting close, and so was he. Wanting to feel her pussy clamp down on his cock, he twisted his body placing her back on the floor, his hips snapping into her.

Lifting her leg higher on his hips, he drove himself deep into her body, his mouth gently biting her nipple, enjoying how she screamed out for him. "Feel me my moon. I want to feel your body shake around my cock." He groaned out in her ear.

Between hearing the slapping of their skins, and how he was biting her tits and neck, Rose felt her lower belly starting to tighten, "Please my Khal. I'm about to cum." Digging her nails into his shoulders, Rose needed to ground herself.

Letting one hand slide down her body, Drogo let his knuckle rub against her nub, "Cry out for me my moon." Groaning as he felt her pussy clamp down around him, pulling his cock out until only just the tip of his cock was inside of her, snapping forward needing to drive his seed deep into her body. "Take my seed, my love."

Rose could feel her eyes roll into the back of her head, her body shaking as she felt her orgasm roll through her body, her lips attaching to his neck, not wanting to scream out and wake her children. "My Khal." She whispered. "Fill me with your seed, my love."

Hearing her words, between how her body clamped around him and the way her lips caressed his neck, drove him over the edge. "FUCK." He groaned out, his eyes shutting on their own, "Moon of my life, feel me." He said, slowly fucking her body as his seed coated her insides.

Rocking her hips, Rose slowly milked his cock, making sure that he was satisfied. Licking the side of his neck, enjoying feeling him shutter above her. "Sun and stars. I always feel you."

Feeling his arms give out, Drogo rolled himself to where she was on top of his chest, wanting to keep his cock deep inside her until he slipped out of her body. As he settled down, he let his fingers trace the curve of her spine, smirking when her body tilted into his fingers. "I love you, my moon."

Snuggling her head onto his chest, "And I love you, my sun and stars." Closing her eyes, Rose let herself drift to sleep, but somewhere deep inside her soul, she knew that the peace she was feeling with her family, wasn't going to last long. She could feel something coming for her, but like everything else, she would meet it head on, and do what she could to protect her family.

TIME JUMP (1 MONTH BEFORE SHE SET SAIL)

Drogo watched as his wife spared with their Stallion, her way was far different from the traditional Dothraki way, but he could see that it was helping his son learn quickly. Be it a bit painful, her methods was to take dulled steel and teach him that way, when he questioned her about the wooden ones that they used for their children, her response made him laugh.

"My Khal, wood is lighter than the steel, it will help him get used to the weight of his weapons."

She wasn't wrong, he did remember from his transition from the wooden weapons to the steeled ones, while he had the muscle memory to weld them, it took him a bit longer to be more accurate with them.

He found his twins with the other 5–7-year old's of the Khalasar, they were learning how to properly take care of their mounts, feeding them, cleaning them, and of course how to ride them great distances. One the Khalasar was set to move in a few days, they would be riding within the horde, next to their mother.

Rhogoro looked over at his mother, "I have welts all over, I am not getting this." He said, feeling a bit defeated.

Lowering her practice sword, "My Stallion, you are doing well, this I promise you, but I am not going easy on you, and when it's time for you siblings to learn, I will be just as tough." Rose never wanted to make her children feel like they were failing, but when her father took to training her, pain was a great teacher on what not to do, but also helped her learn how to think past the pain as well.

Nodding to her, while he still felt that he was not getting as quickly as he would have hoped, he knew that she was going to teach him everything she knew, and soon his father would teach him how to properly wield his arakh, that was the day he was looking forward to, when he would presented his weapon, it would symbolize not only to himself, but the rest of the Khalasar that he was ready to join them in battle.

Holding up his sword, Rhogoro took a deep breath, "Ready." Wanting to keep pushing himself until he was able to disarm her.

Smirking at him, Rose couldn't help but feel proud, "Ready, my Stallion."

Drogo watched as they fought, his son not only using his speed, but his natural strength, but his wife, she knew that soon she wouldn't be able to match his strength, she would need to rely on her speed and agility.

Daenerys watched as Rhogoro trained with his mother, her eyes falling to her son who was training with her husband, they were all preparing for the fact that in the next few months they would all be turning 10, and starting to earn their braids, it was a bittersweet moment for all of them.

All four of the women had their eldest preparing for the next stage in becoming part of the Khalasar. Rhaego, Jaggo, Lajakk, and Rhogoro, were all ready to take that next step to becoming Dothraki warriors.

Looking up when she heard Irri calling out to her, "How are you feeling?" Dani asked her, her eyes looking at her swollen belly.

Rubbing her belly, Irri carefully took a seat next to her friend, "Fine, just ready for this monster to come, after this one, I am done giving birth. Four is plenty for one family!" She teased.

Dani couldn't help but laugh, she and Qotho agreed that while they loved their children, 2 would be plenty for them to handle. "I couldn't agree more, the two I have now, are a handful." Her eyes darting up when she heard her daughter come running towards them. "Lili, what are you screaming for?"

Looking up at her momma, "Dadda is not playing with me." She said, pouting.

Rose couldn't help but laugh, "Lili, your father is training Rhaego, he'll play with you after." She said to 4-year-old.

Looking up, Lili always thought the Khaleesi was pretty, "Promise?" She asked her.

Rubbing her head, "I do, my little warrior." Rose could see that Nalli was sitting with other children, who just finished their riding lessons for the day, "Nalli, will you play with Lili until her father is ready?" Smiling when she came running right over.

Nalli looked down at Lili, placing her hand on her shoulder, "Let's go, I can take you to the ponies." Her eyes looking over at her mother, "Can I momma?"

Placing a kiss on her head, "You can, bring Najo with you, it is better that two of you watch this one, she's sneaky." Rubbing Lili on her head, "You listen to Nalli and Najo, you understand me?" Giving her a pointed look.

Hugging her, "Yes, Khaleesi." Looking over at her momma, "I'll be good, promise." With that, she followed behind Nalli.

Dani looked over at Rose who was sitting next to them, "Thank you, she's such a handful."

Waving her hand, Rose took some wine that one of the slaves handed her, looking up she could see that she was smiling, "Thank you." Turning her attention back to Dani and Irri, "You are most welcome, Nalli was very spirited, still is, refuses to let her brothers do anything without her. She's determined to become a Khal just like her father."

Irri couldn't help but laugh, while she wanted a daughter, the Great Stallion has blessed her with 3 boys, and possibly 4 if this one was a boy as well. "Khaleesi, if there was ever a chance for a woman leading a Khalasar, Nalli would be a strong contender." While she knew that it wasn't, if anyone woman was to do it, it would either be the Khaleesi or her daughter.

Snorting, "Please don't let her know that!" Letting out a sigh, she could see that Jaggo, and Lajakko were joining her son and Dani's in the training circle, "It seems like just yesterday that they were born, and here we are, 10 years later, and our young boys are on the way to becoming men."

Dali walked up on the tail end of that statement, "Our sons are the future and blood of this Khalasar, their enemies will tremble in fear." Proud of the young men that they have become. Sitting next to her sister, "I know for you, and the rest it is hard, but I was born a Dothraki, this is all I've known or seen."

Rose wrapped her arm around her, "Dali, you are right, for us, we married into the Khalasar, even though it may be a bit harder to accept, I think I can speak for us all, that we are proud of the young men that they are becoming."

Dani could only nod to agree. "With the Stallion at the head of the horde, I know our son's will be in good hands."

Irri smiled at her friends, her sisters, while none of the mothers wanted to have their son in harms way, she would be proud of her son when he rode with his father and the rest of the men when they took a village. "While I will be proud, I am happy that it will be another few years before they ride with the Khal."

Rose couldn't help but agree, while she knew that Rhogoro was destined to lead the Khalasar to great things, she was grateful for at least a little while, he could still be a 10-year-old boy. Because when he and the rest turn 15, they will be required by the Khal to kill their first man, anyone that hesitates, could be subject to banishment, or death. It was a harsh tradition, but the Dothraki were a violent people to outsiders, and while she would prefer more diplomacy in the future, this was the world her son's and daughter were growing up in now.

Drogo looked down at the young men that were surrounding his fire, his son now a month away from 10, his friends would follow shortly in the next couple months, it bode well that they were growing up together. While his Stallion could pick anyone to be his bloodriders, it would be best to pick someone that he went to training with, he would be able to analyze their strengths, their weakness, and more importantly if they fight with honor, or if they were weak minded.

Placing his hand on his son's shoulder, "My Stallion, you have done well, in the next few months, I have faith in the Great Stallion that you will become a great warrior, perhaps far better than I could ever imagine."

Looking up at his father, "I hope I can bring not only you and mother honor in my skills, but to the Great Stallion as well." He knew that he was who his Khalasar called the Stallion that Mounts the world, and like his father, he would lead the unified Khalasars into great battles, bring balance and peace over his lands, but it was a daunting task.

Jaggo looked up at his father, then back to his cousin, he could see that Rhogoro was worried about disappointing his family, and the horde. Placing his hand on his shoulder, "You are going to be a great warrior, we all are, look at our fathers." He said, proud to be a son of a bloodrider.

Lajakko chimed in, "We all have a lot to learn and master, don't worry Rhogoro, we're all going to succeed and fail."

Rubbing his chin, Rhaego couldn't help but chuckle, "Perhaps not, between our fathers, and mothers, we have an advantage over the rest." He knew that the Khaleesi trained her friends, and that they all were formidable and dangerous women, having two strong people's blood running through their veins, their was no way that they would disappoint their family.

Rhogoro looked over his friends, he knew when he earned the right to choose, these 3 would be his bloodriders, and his younger brother would be his Ko, and while traditionally Nalli wouldn't have a place at his fire, she would be next to him until she found a man worthy of her. Like his aunt Dali, she was the sister of a Khal, but his father never at least that he could remember, made her feel like she was unworthy of sitting by him.

"When it is time, we will ride together, I look forward to that day." He said, while he knew he wanted them to be his bloodriders, it would be an insult to his father to say it out loud.

Drogo watched as the young boys huddled together, his son surrounded by his friends, looking over at his bloodriders, he could see the same look over pride that he felt, "We are were all blessed by the Great Stallion, our boys will be the heart of the Khalasar when we are no longer fit to ride."

Qotho looked at his friend, his Khal, smirking at him, "Our sons will have something we did not," turning his eyes towards the women surrounding the Khaleesi, "they all have mothers that would rival any man, strong blood flows through their veins."

Losho and Haggo, shared a look, both voicing their agreement, their skills as bloodriders, and the skills each of their wives possess, their sons were destined for greater things than anything that they could have imagined.

Hours passed, the Khalasar enjoying their meal, talking, and drinking, but as Rose went to stand to put her twins to bed, the pounding in her head almost brought her to her knees, "FUCK!" she yelled out. Her eyes finding her husband and son running towards her, but the pain that echoed in her son's eyes told her he was finally hearing the call of Chiron as well.

"Moon of my life, are you alright?" He asked her, carefully lifting her off the ground.

"The Great Stallion, he is calling out for me." Wrapping her arms around him, her eyes fell to her son, "Are you OK, my son?" worried that it was too much for her child.

Nodding, "I am fine mother, it was so loud. Is it always that way, when he comes?" He asked her.

Keeping her eyes on the sky, "Yes, my Stallion, but once you hear his call, it doesn't hurt any longer." Pointing, she could see his outline, "This will be the first time since you were 3 since you've seen him, remember my son, while you are the Stallion, he is the Great Stallion, respect is paramount to keep your relationship with the Sky herd."

Looking over at her husband, "He's alone." She said to him, not seeing his mate or his children.

Keeping his hand on her shoulder, he looked over at his son, "Follow your mother's lead. For she has been speaking with the Great Stallion since before you were born my son."

His eyes watching the sky, he could see the Great Stallion landing not too far from the khalasar, he watched as everyone kneeled in his presence, but he could see that his mother and father only bowed to him, following suit, he bowed slightly.

Rose reached behind her, taking a hold of his hand, she pulled him close to her, "Common tongue my son." Heading up towards Chiron, Rose held her hands up, "Chiron, it has been a long time, how have you been my friend?"

Taking her in, it was amazing, when he first saw her, she was perhaps 21, now here she was 10 years later, a grown woman, a mother of 3, he was proud of her, and the beautiful woman that she was. "It is great to see you too," his eyes turned to the young man standing next to her, "Is this Rhogoro?" He was huge, just an inch or so taller than his mother.

Nodding, "Yes, he has grown into a fine young man." Looking over at her son, nodding at him, he needed to speak for himself.

Bowing a bit, "It is an honor to meet you, Great Stallion." Doing his best to keep his voice from shaking.

Moving towards the young man, letting his nose touch his shoulder, "The honor is mine. R'hllor the God of Light and Fire was right about you, you will be a wonderful leader."

Gently rubbing his neck, "I am honored, I promise I will do my best to live up to those expectations." Taking a step back, while he knew at some point he would be the bridge between his people and the Sky Herd, it was his mother's right.

Rose couldn't help but smile at her son, but she knew that Chiron did not come here to just talk about how big her son has gotten. "Not that I'm not happy to see you, but if you're here that means something is happening."

Letting his nose fall to her hand, "That is so true, I am the messenger from R'hllor, for he is in his deep sleep, you and your unsullied are needed to find Arya Stark, she is a few weeks from her home, Winterfell, she is being hunted by a group of men. They are riding under Ramsay Bolton's banner, he is like the former king Joffrey, but possibly worse. He is going to take his army 8,000, march on Winterfell, while they are a stronghold, they only have 3,000 men."

Inhaling deeply, R'hllor wanted to have her sail across the ocean with her Dothraki horde? She knew her husband would go, if only to keep the Great Stallion happy, "You want me to take my Khalasar over to Westeros?" Wanting clarification on what was being asked of her.

She could hear her son translating everything to his father. She could see him tensing, but standing with her, that brought a huge smile to her face.

Chiron could see the Khal was willing to sail the world for his Khaleesi, but this would be her journey, for at this time, R'hllor isn't ready for the Dothraki to come to Westeros. "No, Rose, it will be you sailing with the unsullied, for the Dothraki are needed here on Essos."

Gasping, she was to lead an army alone, her family would be here in Essos, "When do I need to leave?" She asked, knowing that if she was to sail, she would need to leave soon.

"My sweet Rose, at first light, R'hllor sent word to the seer, Ciar, Illyrio has already secured the ships, you will be on the ocean by the next morning." He knew that it was a lot to ask the woman, but it she was the only one that would be able to convince the young King of the North and his brother to accept her help.

"And you? Will I ride with you at some point during this, or will it just be me and my unsullied?" Hoping for a little extra support, especially if she was going to lead an army alone.

Rubbing his nose against her hand, "Yes, and your dragons will wake, but they will not be there until it is closer to the time of the battle, you and Arya will ride them."

Placing a kiss on his nose, "Thank you, I guess I will see you soon." Stepping back, she could feel her husband, and son holding her, it brought her peace and comfort. "Goodbye, Chiron."

Rhogoro watched as the Great Stallion ran and took off towards the sky, once he cleared the clouds, he ran to his mother, "I will ride with you mother, across the Narrow Sea." While he knew it wasn't the way of the Dothraki, he would go to protect his mother.

Placing a kiss on his head, "No, my Stallion, I need you to stay here, with your father, keep your brother and sister safe." Turning her attention to her husband, "My Sun and Stars, I know that the Great Stallion has asked this of me, but I will not go if you do not wish it."

Drogo pulled her into a deep hug, "My only regret, that it is not my destiny to sail with you." Kissing her deeply, "Sail, take the unsullied, destroy these cowards, then come back to me. I will lead our Khalasar to Vaes Dothrak, there is where we will listen to the crones sing about your safe return to my arms."

Keeping her arms wrapped around him, Rose could feel a tear sliding down her face, she needed to be brave, not only for herself, but for her son, and husband.

Keeping her in his arms, Drogo could see his Khalasar watching intently, turning his chest so that he could face them, "MY KHALEESI IS BEING ASKED TO SAIL TOWARDS THE LANDS ACROSS THE POISON WATER, THE UNSULLIED WILL SAIL WITH HER, AND SOON THE BLOOD OF DOTHRAKI ENEMIES WILL STAIN THEIR LANDS." He could hear their whispers "WE WILL BRING HER AND THE UNSULLIED TO THE LAND OF PENTOS, AND ONCE HER WOODEN HORSES ARE IN THE HORIZON, I WILL BRING THE HORDE TO VAES DOTHRAK, AND THERE WILL WAIT THE RETURN OF OUR KHALEESI."

The sound of her name being called out through the Khalasar filled her heart with joy, while she was still scared about leaving her family, she knew from her past experiences with R'hllor, she knew well enough, that he wouldn't ask her to do this, unless it was for the greater good of his realm.
