Hello everyone! Thank you for being more and more numerous ! As always, One Piece is not mine, except for Stella.
Don't hesitate to send me a message, if my english is not good.
The crew looks at the new island in front of them. Nami checks that all is well so that they can dock safely. Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are excited about this new adventure, but Usopp disagrees, hiding behind a barrel and claiming to have an illness that prevents him from going to this island. I roll my eyes at this lame excuse. The two intruders take the opportunity to jump on the railing.
"This is where we part ways, goodbye." They jump into the water and swim towards the island. I watch them go, leaning on the railing, but I just want a sea monster to appear and swallow them.
I take a deep breath and turn my attention back to the island.
Before us, the island is shrouded in mist, giving a strange and sinister atmosphere. My haki detects the presence of several hundred people on the island. I quickly reflect on my knowledge of Whisky Peak. After a few minutes I remember something. This island is home to bounty hunters. Luffy and the others are in for a rough time.
Meanwhile, the crew steers the ship inland up the river. I can feel the islanders' aura more clearly. Their intentions are not the most peaceful. I return to my room, exchange my winter jacket for a thin denim jacket and take Hisui over my shoulder. I prefer to have it with me and avoid it being inadvertently stolen. Even if no one can touch it directly.
As I leave, a peculiar sight presents itself to me, hundreds of people welcoming us to their island. But their intentions are always hostile, even the children have the same intentions, which irritates me deeply. Children should not think of killing and hurting others. I close my eyes and take a deep breath before my haki escapes me.
Sanji, Luffy and Usopp fell for it, diving head first into the honey pot. Fortunately for this crew, Zoro and Nami are always suspicious. At least all is not lost.
We dock and are greeted by the mayor of Whisky Peak, whose name is Igarappoi. But his face and facial expressions remind me vaguely of something. Suspicious, I hide my face under my hat until I remember who he reminds me of.
"Ma~ ma~ ma~ We are holding a banquet in your honor, I hope you will come?" Says Igarappoi with a big smile.
"With great pleasure!" shout Usopp, Luffy and Sanji. I roll my eyes at this bunch of idiots, thankfully Nami and Zoro are watching over them. Nami asks how long it will take for the Log Pose to recharge but the mayor doesn't answer the question and declares that the party is starting. Everyone approaches us and drags us into the city. I have to force myself not to spread them on the ground. I really hate being pushed around, especially when the intentions are not clear, like perverted thoughts, stealing, killing, etc.
We are taken to a bar and everyone starts having fun. Usopp tells a horde of fans crazy stories. Luffy gobbles up mountains of food. Sanji is surrounded by pretty girls, I'm surprised he hasn't bled to death already. Zoro, Nami and I are in a drinking contest against other contestants. Yes, they are trying to kill us, but I can enjoy it. After all, I don't smell any poison or drugs in the drinks or food.
I drink the glasses of alcohol in front of me like water. Shanks' alcohol is a thousand times stronger. I lean back in my chair and smile as I think about all the stupid things Shanks did when he was drunk. He put his crew to the test. One day he wanted to swim from one island to another. I couldn't help but laugh that night when his crew tackled him to the ground.
I am pulled out of my thoughts by Zoro collapsing on the table with a thud. Glancing around the table, I see that only me, Nami, and an ultra-bored nun are still conscious.
"Rooohhh! Zoro, you little player! I thought you were stronger!" Says Nami who is seriously starting to blush from the alcohol. I smile at her cute little face, the kids are really adorable. Very quickly, the nun collapses accompanied by Nami. As for me, I could go on for a long time but more and more eyes turn towards me. The bounty hunters continue to smile and drink around me, but their gazes stare at me from the corner of their eyes.
At this point I notice that I am the only one of the crew still standing. If I don't want to attract more attention, I'd better pretend to be drunk. I drop heavily onto the table, chirping slightly as I deploy my observation haki ready to act if needed and pull Hisui's bag close to me.
A few minutes later, the partygoers get up and start to leave quietly. Only a few guys are left standing guard.
Everything is quiet for a good ten minutes, I even start to fall asleep. Zoro slowly lifts his head and looks around before getting up and slipping away. I smile and get up too, curious as to what he's going to do in this city full of bounty hunters. He climbs to the rooftops and I follow him, staying out of sight. We end up overhearing a conversation between the two idiots from earlier and the mayor. I observe the scene sitting on one of the roofs, legs crossed.
"Mr. Mayor, why did you have to do all this staging? We could have just captured them at the entrance to the island. Besides, we're running out of resources!" Asks Mr. 9. The Mayor reaches into his pockets and holds up a wanted notice.
"The captain of this crew has a bounty of 30 million Berrys, clearly you don't want to mess with him." The blue-haired girl, the nun and the fake king's eyes bug out at the bounty.
"30... 30 million Berrys! For that kid?! He doesn't look that strong to me."
"That's why I threw this party. Now that they're asleep, we'll be able to capture him with no problem." It is at this point that Zoro decides to enter the scene with the moon behind him, sitting on the roof, back straight, sword raised. It has to be said that he knows how to make an entrance.
"I would ask you not to disturb them, they have had a hard day." Zoro said with a sly smile. The mayor was about to say something but was interrupted by a group of men running towards him.
"M. 8 ! Miss Monday! There are two pirates that have escaped! It's the man with the green hair and the girl in the cowboy hat!" Says an underling running with a dozen others. M. 8 ? I guess he's the mayor. And Miss Monday is the nun.
"You bastard! You and your friend were drunk earlier!" Mr. 8 yells at Zoro.
"Learn that a swordsman worthy of the name never drowns completely in alcohol. And as for my comrade, let's just say that's not what will make her bend." Zoro answers by giving me a look. I give him a little wave, smiling. Not bad, he's paying close attention to his surroundings for spotting me so easily. He turns his attention back to the others below, who have gathered quickly and fully armed, ready to tear Zoro apart.
"So this town is a den of bounty hunters, is it? At first glance, I'd say there are no more than a hundred of you... I'm your man Baroque Works!"
At his words, all the agents gasped in surprise, as I pondered this organisation. I've heard of it before, but where? While I was thinking about it, Zoro explained that they had already tried to recruit him but he had refused the offer, as he refused to obey someone he would never meet.
"In that case, we'll have to KILL you!" Shouts the mayor, pointing a gun at him. But Zoro has disappeared from the roof.
"Where is he?! He's gone!" Shouts the officers until they notice Zoro in the middle of their group. Zoro flashes a mocking smile.
"Are you looking for me?" Instantly, the agents point their guns at Zoro and shoot him, except he has disappeared from his position. As a result, the agents kill each other. Zoro crouches down at the last moment and approaches the mayor.
"You were talking about tombstones, are you sure one will do?" Says Zoro nonchalantly with the blade of one of his swords next to the mayor's head.
This rookie has class and knows how to create an atmosphere to put himself forward. A mischievous little smile graces my lips, I can't wait to see what happens next.
"There he is! Don't let him get away!" The officers shout, pointing their guns at Zoro, but also at the mayor. Who doesn't seem to agree with the other bounty hunters' decision. He picks up his saxophone and blows into it. Instead of notes, bullets come out, killing all the agents who are in the line of fire. Fortunately, Zoro escapes before he gets hit. Hmmm... that could be a dangerous weapon. I lean over the edge of the roof to see where Zoro went with all the commotion. After a few seconds of calm, the agents resume their search. And they eventually find Zoro, but not just him.
"The girl is here!" One of the officers yells, pointing his gun at me. Seriously, I just want to watch. He shoots me bluntly but I dodge the bullet by moving my head slightly. He really wants to kill me, that idiot! My hat casts a menacing shadow over my face, making my eyes glow with an ominous gleam.
"I'm warning you that you'd better not come looking for me." I tell them, glaring at them and infusing some haki into my words, but it seems they're too stupid to leave me alone.
"As if we're going to listen to you!" And they start shooting at me again. I pull out my ordinary sword and deflect the bullets one by one, while sitting still. They stop shooting, totally surprised. I tilt my head to the side and put on a crazy smile that reflects on my blade.
"Since you're attacking me, that means I can defend myself, right?" Before they can answer, I'm behind them and sweep them off their feet with the flat of my blade, they all fall at my feet unconscious, killing them isn't necessary. More guys come towards me and I roll my eyes. Seriously, don't they know how to assess an opponent? They run towards me with their swords, ready to cut me down, but I jump up at the last moment and they kill each other. What a waste. I remain suspended in the air under the shocked looks of the others.
"Go have fun with Zoro, unless you want to die." I tell them with a toothy grin and releasing enough haki to make it visible. A shiver of fear runs through the agents. In front of them, the woman has turned into a demon, her blue eyes glowing under her hat and a dark mass floating behind her, all with the moon behind her.
"I'll say this one last time, get out of my sight." My voice is lower, with a gaunt intonation, which sounds like an otherworldly voice coming from my throat. The agents tremble in fear and begin to flee, screaming at the demon. Without a backward glance, I run to Zoro. With all this, I couldn't see how he was fighting.
I continue to run quietly through the air, eventually finding him drinking a bottle. Obviously he's managed to beat all the agents.
"Are you done?" I ask him as I land next to him.
"Yep, I got to test my new blades. I must say Kitetsu is impressive, he can cut through stone super easily." I smile at his enthusiasm and snatch his bottle from him to take a drink. He frowns at me stealing his bottle, but says nothing.
"Kitetsu are very good blades, but they are cursed. I hope for your sake that she chose you as her carrier?" I hand the nearly empty bottle to Zoro.
"If for you the fact that he preferred to cut the ground rather than my arm means that he chose me, then yes." I ruffle his hair.
"That's my boy! I'm sure Kitetsu is happy to be with you, right?" I say as I look at the sword in question, which purrs back at me. But Zoro doesn't seem to be able to hear his swords.
"I don't know and stop doing that, I'm not a child." He says as he pulls my hand away. I laugh softly at his pout and sit down, resting Hisui on my lap, which catches Zoro's eye.
"I noticed you have a second blade on your belt, don't tell me you have a third? I'll think you want to copy me." Zoro says with a smirk. I roll my eyes and bring my gaze back to the bag.
"This is Hisui Hoshi. This is my main sword that I use in the Shin Sekai. But here, there is no chance of it being drawn. That's why I have an intermediate blade. Zoro frowns as he looks at the bag before looking at me.
"Why don't you use it here? Is there something wrong with it?" I shake my head, stroking the cover. Hisui purrs at my gesture.
"No there's nothing wrong, it's more that I could destroy everything around me a little too easily. "
"What do you mean? What kind of damage can you do? Destroy buildings?" He says with an amused look and a sarcastic tone. I snort at his demeanor.
"If only buildings could be destroyed. No, I'm talking about cities and islands. Zoro's face freezes, he doesn't know if I'm telling the truth or if I'm making fun of him. He opens his mouth several times before he can say anything.
"You... You're making fun of me, right?" I play with the zip of the cover for a few seconds, increasing the tension in the air. Then I look Zoro in the eye.
"Why? You think Miwalk can't do it maybe?" Zoro stares at me, determining if I'm telling the truth, then looks down at his hands and stares at them, flexing his fingers slightly.
"How long do you think it will take me to reach that level?"
"It all depends on you, how hard you work to achieve your dream. But don't worry, I'm here to train you. After all that's one of the reasons I'm here. " I tell him, giving his shoulder a small punch. He smiles at my gesture and looks at me again.
"So? Can I see what your swords look like?" I nod and hand him Seima.
"This is Seima, one of the twelve star blades, belonging to the constellation of the horse. "He gently takes the katana, draws the blade and places it in front of his face.
Zoro marvels at the beauty of the blade, reflections of silver and blue glistening gently along the blade, like the surface of a lake reflecting the light of the moon. A feeling of peace and completeness overtook him, his body completely relaxed. He could stare at the blade for hours. But his contemplation is interrupted by the scabbard sliding over the blade until it disappears completely. When the blade is no longer visible, Zoro blinks as if coming out of a dream.
"Sorry Zoro, I told Seima to be nice to you, but it seems that wasn't enough." I take the blade from Zoro's hands and put it back on his belt.
"What happened?" Zoro asks, frowning as he realizes what just happened.
"You were hypnotized by Seima. Each of the star blades has special abilities, like Kitetsu that send their bearer into a killing frenzy. " I place my hands on Hisui's bag, wondering if it's safe to mount him.
"Hypnotized?" I nod, looking Zoro in the eye.
"And again, Seima took it easy, if it wasn't for you... You'd be trapped in a daydream for hours, maybe days." I see him swallow hard as he looks at Seima before laying eyes on the bag.
"What about this one?" I let out a sigh as I stroke the cover. Hisui purrs to reassure me, he'll try to hold it back.
"I'll show you, but under no circumstances are you to touch that blade, is that clear?" The voice is harsh and authoritative. My face is serious, showing only authority. Zoro's serious face becomes even more serious.
"After what just happened and how tense you are. I would never risk it." He said, crossing his arms.
"And you're right, because if you ever touch that sword... It will kill you instantly by draining you of all energy. " Hisui vibrates, not sure if he should be offended or not after trying to reassure me. I start to unzip, but I sense two new presences, which are a little too close to Luffy for my liking and obviously Zoro sensed them too.
"Looks like we have a visitor, you'll have to wait a little longer." I say as I close the bag and put it over my shoulder.
"No problem, let's go see our new guests."
We go up to the rooftops and see an odd discussion between the Baroque Works agents below.
"Suspects are currently missing in the kingdom of Alabasta." Says a guy with frizzy hair and sunglasses. He barely has time to finish his sentence, when the mayor shoots him with guns hidden in his curlers, causing a huge explosion.
"IGARAM!" Screams the blue-haired girl, totally panicked, the situation is getting out of control. I think quickly. The mayor and the blue-haired girl are from Alabasta and the name Igaram is not unknown to me. Think, think, where have you heard that name before! A lemon-yellow girl attacks the blue-haired girl and Igaram is thrown to the ground by the frizzled one.
"These two individuals are the head of the royal guard of the kingdom of Alabasta, Igaram! And the princess of that same kingdom, Nefertari Vivi!" declares the Baroque Works agent. My blood runs cold at this revelation. This young woman is Princess Vivi! The last time I saw her, she was still very small. I remember the last time I was in Alabasta, the king invited me to his home and introduced me to his only daughter, who was quite cute at the time. Why didn't the king call me and tell me there was a problem with his daughter? And why has she infiltrated this organisation? Is she having a teenage crisis? While I'm thinking, Zoro takes the opportunity to get Luffy to safety.
Downstairs, the situation is starting to get really dangerous for Vivi, Mr 9 is protecting her but he gets blown up by the other frizzy guy's devil fruit. Igaram begs Zoro to protect the princess and Vivi runs away on the back of a giant duck called Kaloo, quickly pursued by the two agents who want to kill her. What should I do? If it's really Vivi, should I help her, to return her father's invitation? I rub my temples and decide to chase the princess, after all, it costs nothing to follow her.
I run to the rooftops and see Miss Monday blocking the path of the two assassins, but she is easily shot. The frizzy one throws an explosive booger at Vivi. Faced with this danger, I grab my sword and place my foot on the edge of the roof, ready to jump to intercept the mini-bomb, but Zoro comes at great speed and cuts the booger in half. My hand gently drops my sword. Calm down, you're on holiday, don't forget. I take a breath and sit on the edge of the roof, my legs dangling in the air.
"Where did that one come from?" asks the frizzy one, clearly not happy with the intervention. Totally panicked, Vivi starts to attack Zoro. She thinks he's here to kill her.
"You are seriously starting to annoy me! This is not the time!" Says Vivi, twirling her weapon ready to slice Zoro, but Zoro disarms her without looking back.
"Be careful what you do, I'm here to save you". Zoro warns, glancing at me before turning his attention back to the others.
"To... save me?" asks Vivi, totally surprised.
"So you're the swordsman who slaughtered our men? We were told that there was also a girl who looks like a demon, but I don't see her anywhere. Did we scare her away? Ha ha ha!" Laughs the lemon girl with a mocking smile. Zoro raises an eyebrow and looks at me again, obviously these two agents are not able to detect me, unlike Zoro.
"Can we know why you are protecting the princess? "
"Let's just say I have my reasons," says Zoro. The lemon girl closes her umbrella and says with a sadistic face.
"Ha ha ha! It doesn't matter, because I'll send you six feet under!" Zoro cocks his head. I lean in, resting my elbows on my legs to better see his next move. Finally some action! But he's interrupted by Luffy.
"ZORO!" From the volume of his voice, he's angry but why, mystery.
"WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IS INTOLERABLE! COME AND FIGHT!"
What's this about?
"WHAT! Why are you attacking me? What did I do?"
"SHUT UP! INGRATES! The people of this town welcomed us and you attack them!" I facepalm, he's completely off base and Vivi agrees. Zoro tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but Luffy doesn't want to hear it and starts to attack Zoro. I roll my eyes at this situation, I'm going to have to teach Luffy to listen to his nakamas before I want to kick their asses.
"Ha!" Vivi screams as the two agents charge her again. Fortunately, Luffy's body passes her by, taking the two assassins with it. I turn my head and see Zoro out of breath from dodging Luffy's attacks.
"Well, are you tired yet? I thought you had more stamina than that?" I say with a mocking smile.
"Shut up! Do it if it's so easy!" Zoro replies with a dark look, but I'm more amused than anything else.
"How long have you been here?!" Vivi asks as she stares at me, my hat hiding my face and I flash a toothy grin.
I was about to answer her but the building where Luffy and the other two landed explodes. The lemon girl jumps in the air shouting that she ate the Kilo-Kilo fruit that allows her to change weight. It's not very smart to say what power you have, it's like revealing your hand in a poker game. I turn to Zoro.
"Try to calm Luffy down, I'm watching the princess." I can feel Luffy's aura black with rage, he needs someone from his crew to calm him down.
"It works." Luffy emerges from the rubble with the unconscious booger agent in his hand. At least we don't have to deal with it.
Seeing that she doesn't have Zoro's attention, the lemon woman tries to crush her but Zoro dodges her easily and she dives into the ground. I let out a disappointed sigh at this lack of control of her fruit. But now both agents are out of commission. I just have to make sure Zoro and Luffy's attacks don't inadvertently hit Vivi.
Zoro and Luffy launch into a series of destructive attacks and techniques. My attention is on them when Vivi calls out to me from below.
"Um, excuse me, but I thought they were friends." I look at Vivi and give her a small smile.
"Yes, they are friends and that's why they fight so hard." Vivi looks at me with questioning eyes.
"I don't think I understand.
"It's simple, Luffy thinks Zoro betrayed him, his trust was hurt. That's why he's putting so much energy into this fight."
"Aren't you going to try and stop them?" I turn my attention to the two idiots.
"No, that's how men deal with their problems. Vivi gives me a long look but says nothing. After a few minutes, the street is quiet again. But not for long, because Zoro and Luffy cross paths again and send the two agents who had the misfortune to stand up flying.
"I can't believe it, how can there be such powerful people at the entrance to the Grand Line? "Said Vivi, in total disbelief. Said Vivi, in total disbelief. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw her face. Yes, my students have good potential.
"You can find powerful people anywhere at sea, you just have to be there at the right time."
"What about you? Are you as strong as them?" Vivi questions me, I put my hand on my hat and raise it slightly, allowing her to get a better look at my face.
"I don't know... You have to judge someone's strength by their actions, not by rumours." I had said these words to Vivi when she was very small. At that time she wondered if her father was a strong person and if she herself would be strong enough when she took over. A multitude of feelings pass through Vivi's eyes. Confusion, surprise, sadness, fear, joy, but most of all hope.
"You... You're right, it's better to judge someone by knowing them and not just via stories and rumours." I smile at her and nod. I don't know if she remembers me, but she seems to have kept my words somewhere in her memory. We turn our attention back to the two idiots who charge at each other again, but are stopped short by Nami's fist. I wonder if she's subconsciously using the weapons haki? Because seriously, Luffy is made of gum…
"Do you realise that a billion Berrys almost passed us by?! Do you know what that means?!" Nami yells as she grabs the two men by the collar.
"What are you talking about? Why are you trying to protect me?!" asks Vivi on guard. I can understand her, after all, we were enemies an hour ago and I wanted to kill her more than once. I can't imagine the trouble that would have brought me. I shudder just thinking about it.
"Oh yes, we owe you an explanation and we have a contract to sign." What's this about a contract? What are you up to, Nami? The two men are still trying to get in each other's faces, which makes me laugh slightly.
"A contract?!" Vivi asks with even more suspicion. Nami ends up punching the two idiots again and telling them to shut up, which at least had the merit of explaining the situation to Luffy.
"Ha ha ha ha! You should have said that right away! Ha ha ha ha!" Luffy laughs, totally calmed down. I roll my eyes, amused.
"I can't accept it! Thanks for saving my life, but that's all you're getting." Clearly, things aren't going Nami's way.
"Why? Are you a princess? A small billion isn't much to you?"
"Do you know the kingdom of Alabasta?" Vivi asks sadly, obviously something happened there. Cobra, you could have made a phone call.
"It's one of the largest kingdoms on the Grand Line." And it's a good place for a holiday.
"In the past, we lived there in peace..." Vivi said bitterly.
"In the past?" I couldn't help asking.
"Yes, in recent years a revolutionary movement has emerged among the population. There have been riots and much disruption in the country. But one day I hear the name of an organisation, it was Baroque Works. I think it was this group that incited the population to revolt. But I lacked information, so I decided to infiltrate Baroque Works with Igaram to find out the purpose of this organisation." I rub my temples at this new information. At least it's not because of a teenage crisis.
"But... isn't the purpose of Baroques Works to found an ideal state?" Nami asks. The more I hear that name, the more it rings a bell, why can't I remember it? I walk away for a moment and climb up onto one of the roofs, I need some quiet to think.
I sit down and go over the last events of the day. But my thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of a vulture with an otter on its back, both look at me before turning their attention to the others below. I raise an eyebrow at the strange pair, but even more so when they freeze and sweat profusely as they turn very sloooowly towards me. Well, well, well, do they know me? Despite their sunglasses, I could see their eyes bulging. A toothy grin appears on my lips and I slowly place a finger on it, making them understand not to say anything. Instantly, they both cover their mouths and shake their heads, a sign that they have understood. I then turn my attention to the others.
"I doubt you'll be any match for Crocodile, one of the seven great privateers!" Vivi says, completely panicked. I slam my fist into my hand. But yes, he once told me that he was going to set up a big project to get his hands on something. Of course, he wasn't drunk enough to tell me at the time, but I didn't know it was going to involve Alabasta. My movement must have caught the attention of the others because they were looking in the direction of, well, the vulture and otter next to me. Who flew away at full speed, probably to warn Crocodile.
"WHAT WAS THAT BIRD AND OTTER! "Nami shouts, shaking Vivi. "AND YOU, WHY DIDN'T YOU DO ANYTHING TO STOP THEM?!" Nami says pointing at me. I tilted my head innocently.
"Why? Did I do something wrong?"
"ARG! YOU ENERVE ME! AND YOU, THEY KNOW YOU'VE SOLD OUT! WHAT DO WE DO NOW!" She says, turning her attention back to Vivi.
"I'm sorry, it slipped my mind!" Vivi says in an attempt to calm Nami down, but it's not very effective.
"'IT SLIPPED MY MIND', IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY?! Sniff... This is too much! We've only just arrived on the Grand Line and one of the seven great corsairs is already after us." Cry Nami, I would almost feel sorry for her if she wasn't constantly trying to control everything at all costs.
The two men are obviously taking the situation well, they are even excited to meet Crocodile. Nami asks them to be quiet and starts to leave, wanting to abandon the crew. But she runs into the vulture and the otter who pull their portage showing Nami, Zoro and Luffy's faces. They didn't do mine, but they don't need to, my name is enough. Then they leave quietly.
"There, we can't hide anymore!"
"Now we're on the Baroque Works blacklist." Zoro laughed. Please exclude me from the lot Zoro, I'm not on any blacklist, not even a nightclub blacklist.
"Ha, ha, ha! I'm shaking with anticipation!" Luffy claps, while Vivi tries to reassure Nami with money.
I roll my eyes at this scene, but their behaviour is refreshing, it's a change from people who show no emotion.
"Don't worry, I have a plan! "I turn my head towards the voice and almost choke on my laughter. In front of me stands Igaram with the dress, Vivi's haircut and beautiful red lip.
"Igaram! What kind of disguise is that?" asks Vivi, totally surprised.
"Wow, the old man really has class! Luffy laughs, his eyes full of stars. I laugh even more and approach the group.
"Be serious, now that Baroque Works has your portraits, they'll send their man after you. And you should know that before he became one of the great privateers, Crocodile had a bounty of 80 million Berrys. By the way, would you like to accompany the princess to Alabasta?" Igaram asks, addressing Luffy. I notice that he glances at me from time to time. Does he recognize me? If so, I'm going to have to seriously find a disguise, maybe a wig will do?
"Just take it home? Okay, no problem!" Luffy automatically replies.
"80 million?! That's 4 times Arlong's bounty!" Nami shouts indignantly. Unfortunately for me, I was right next to her. I put a finger in my ear and shake it to stop the hissing.
"Nami can you stop being so melodramatic?" I look at her, glowering at her.
"I'll complain if I feel like it! It's not like you're going to help us anyway!" I roll my eyes and walk away from her. What was she thinking, that Grand Line was a holiday spot? (Admit it's ironic)
I walk over to a barrel that's against a wall a little ways away and sit on it, placing Hisui's bag in my lap.
"Princess, can you hand me the Eternal Pose of Alabasta?" Igaram asks Vivi.
"An Eternal Pose? What is that?" Nami asks with her eyes still watery.
"You don't know what it is? Well, it can be defined as a frozen version of the Log Pose, which allows you to quickly return to your island, without having to go through all the other islands." Explains Igaram, pointing to the Eternal Pose. Nami stares at me intensely and I'm sure she's insulting me for not revealing this information to her. I give her a small smile and wave my hand at her, which pisses her off even more.
"Well, I'll tell you the plan. I'll pretend to be the princess and I'll take these four dummies who are standing in for our friends, so the Baroque Works men will come and get me. This will allow you to reach Alabasta with your ship by the usual route."
"That's a good plan! Shishishi!" Luffy declares, jumping around. Igaram sets his dummies down against a wall and begins to approach me. I stare at him, wondering if he's going to ask me something, but I don't move.
"Uh huh. Can I ask you something ma'am?" Igaram asks in a whisper so that only I can hear him. I look into him eyes to detect him attentions, I see fear but also hope.
"You know who I am." It's not a question, there's no need to ask.
"Yes ma'am, I remember when you came to the palace." I let out a sigh, jump out of the barrel and start walking away from the others. I point to a street and motion to Igaram to follow me.
"Igaram? What's going on?" asks Vivi.
I rush into an adjacent street, far enough away not to be heard. Behind me, Igaram's footsteps get closer and closer until they stop about two metres away. Igaram moves behind me before stopping. When I turn around, Igaram is kneeling in front of me, his head bowed.
"No need to do this, chief of the royal guard. No one here knows my true identity, and I hate it when people bow to me." I say in a hard voice with a neutral face.
"Forgive me, but I have a request to make. Could you..."
"If you're asking me to protect the princess or take out Crocodile, I'm sorry but that's a no." Igaram remains motionless, before starting to fidget as he stares at the ground.
"Please take my request into consideration, I..." I let out a sigh, then crouch down in front of Igaram and wait patiently for him to raise his head. Igaram was silent when I approached, but now that I am in front of him, he refuses to move. I wait for a few minutes, but seeing that he does not move or speak, I stand up.
"If you don't want to talk, I'll leave. " I walk past him to join the others.
"Please, wait! At least watch the princess, please! She is the only daughter of our king and the future of the country! If anything happens to her, the country will never recover!" Says Igaram in a totally panicked voice. I stop but don't turn around.
"I'm willing to watch her and the others, but don't count on me to fight Crocodile. I leave that to my students." I say the last sentence with a small smile, looking at Igaram, before turning away and continuing on my way, a sign that the conversation is over.
I find the others in the same place we left them. Luffy and Zoro are still discussing the upcoming battles. Vivi and Nami turn to me and stare warily, before Vivi approaches me.
"Where has Igaram gone?" I nod towards the street, before heading towards the boys.
"He'll be here soon, don't worry, we were just talking."
"You were talking about what?" Nami asks, hands on her hips as she approaches me dangerously.
"You were on that street for several minutes, and your discussion seemed pretty important. So?" Nami stands in front of me, glaring at me. I roll my eyes and try to walk away, but Nami disagrees and grabs my arm.
"Are you going to tell us, yes? I'm sick of all your secrets! Who are you really! " I look at Nami, then at her hand on my arm, before sighing heavily.
"Sorry Nami, but I…"
"NO! Stop making excuses! Tell us the truth, or we'll kick you off the crew!" Nami threatens. My eyes narrow at this threat, not that it is very threatening, but rather that it implies my promise with Shanks. With a wave of my arm, I easily disengage from Nami's grip, then leap back two meters to get out of reach.
"I'll tell you everything, only if you reach Sabaody. Until then, you'll have to figure it out. Think of it as a treasure hunt, try to guess who I am. "Nami rants, before she pounces on me, but I dodge all her attempts.
"Nami calm down, it's not that important, is it?" Vivi asks as she watches Nami throw herself at me again.
"Yeah witch, leave her alone for a while. She's already promised to train us and personally, I don't want to miss it." Said Zoro with his arms crossed as he watched my movements.
"That's right Nami! Plus she's super cool and funny! Shishishi!" Said Luffy with a big smile. "Besides, I don't care who she is, as long as we can have fun together!" Luffy throws himself at us with his arms outstretched and traps us in his arms. As a result, I find myself face to face with a Nami who wants to do me in and can't move an inch. I give her a smirk, which makes her even angrier and she tries to escape from Luffy's arms by any means necessary.
"LUFFY! GET OFF ME NOW!" Nami yells, but Luffy continues to laugh, ignoring Nami completely.
"Hm Hm Hm..." We hear someone cough and turn to the source, who is none other than Igaram. "I'm sorry to end this, but we have to leave, before the other agents arrive".
Luffy unfolds his arms and jumps towards Igaram. Nami takes the opportunity to jump at me again, but I dodge her again and start to walk away. Except that Nami grabs Hisui's bag and pulls on it, my blood runs cold. I grab her wrist and tackle her hard to the ground. Nami is on her stomach with her arm pulled back and my foot pressing on her back.
"OUCH, OUCH, OUCH! LET GO OF ME!" Her scream briefly wakes me up, I immediately let go of her arm and move away from her. She has tears in her eyes and gently rolls her shoulder, I see a grimace of pain on her face. Shit!
"I'm sorry Nami! Are you alright? Does your shoulder hurt? Let me see." I know Nami had it coming, but I can't forget that she's fragile. I slowly approach Nami to get a better look at the damage, but she glares at me.
"Stay away from me! "Her voice is full of pain and fear but also venom. I look at her, inspecting her shoulder.
"Is it luxated? Or dislocated?" I get down to her level and continue to approach her, reaching for her shoulder. But she tries to pull away from me, which makes her wince more in pain. Before she can aggravate her injuries, I grab her able-bodied arm and pull her towards me, causing her to fall into my arms. I stand at her back and belt her waist, pressing her against my chest. She begins to flail around trying to get free and away from me.
"LET GO! LET GO! LET GO!" Nami flails around in a complete panic.
"Nami calm down, everything is fine. I just want to look at your arm. I'm sorry." I say calmly in her ear, holding her tightly against me. Nami continues to fuss, but she's starting to get exhausted and cry.
"Let me go... Please..." Her voice is broken and tears run down her cheeks.
"I'm so sorry, let me see your shoulder. Please." Nami doesn't say anything for a few minutes, before she nods. I slightly relax my arm that was holding her waist, seeing that she doesn't move, I focus on her shoulder and place my hand on it. This makes her jump but she doesn't move, although I feel her shaking in my arms. I touch her shoulder and feel that it is dislocated.
"Your shoulder is dislocated, I'm going to put it back in place. It's going to hurt a little, is that okay?" Nami has her head hidden by her fringes, hiding her expression.
"It's not like I have a choice..." She says in a small voice. I rub her stomach in an attempt to calm her down and get her to relax.
"I'll go on three. 1... 2... "I give her a big punch in the shoulder and put her back in place. Nami screams in pain and curls up in my arms. I gently massage her shoulder to make the pain go away faster and calmly rock her.
"It's over Nami, it's okay now. You'll still be sore for a few hours, but it's over." Nami says nothing but continues to cry for a few minutes. While I wait for her to calm down, I look at the others who I had completely forgotten about. Vivi is pale with her hands in front of her mouth, Zoro is leaning against a wall with his arms crossed and his face closed, and Luffy has his face hidden by his hat. I can't help but wince, knowing what to expect.
"I'll totally understand if you don't want me on your team anymore. But know that I'm really sorry Luffy." Luffy doesn't say anything for what seems like hours, before lifting his head and tilting it to the side.
"What are you talking about, Stella? Why would I want you to leave?" My brain crashes at Luffy's sincere question.
"But... I... I hurt Nami and I hurt her." For all answer, Luffy blinks.
"You hurt Nami on purpose?"
"No! Of course not, it was an accident!"
"Do you intend to intentionally hurt a nakama?"
"What! I would never do that, not to you or any of my friends." Luffy grinned broadly.
"Then I have no reason to fire you. You and Nami remind me of Zoro and Sanji. You're always messing with each other, but you look out for each other when one of you is in trouble. Shishishi."
"Hey Luffy! Me and the Cook don't have that kind of relationship, he can die like an idiot, I'm not saving his ass." Zoro protests loudly. I can only blink at this scene and exhale a breath I had been holding without realizing it.
I turn my attention to Nami who is still in my arms and has stopped crying. She fidgets as she stands up and I let her go, ready to be hit. But instead, she walks over to Luffy who is still wearing a big smile. Her fringes still hide her face when she's in front of her captain.
"Shishishi! Are you feeling better Nami?" For all answer, he takes a violent punch that sends him crashing into the wall, so much so that his head remains stuck.
"I DON'T SEE WHAT'S SO FUNNY!" Nami is red with anger before turning to me, I lower my head ready to receive my punishment.
"As for you, don't ever say you're leaving this crew again! Not until you've paid your debt of a billion Berrys for all the trouble you'll create!". I can only look up in disbelief. A billion Berrys? Just that.
"Er... OK." That's all I can say as I watch Nami walk towards Vivi and Igaram.
This holiday is definitely going to cost me.
