Author's Note: I was actually trying to make a chapter focused on Gus, but I think I'll save that for later just because I got stumped. Anyway, enjoy.
Viney was helping the animals in her mom's vet clinic. She loved animals, and wanted to become a vet, just like her mother. She is however, right now, not allowed to help her mother in treating the animals, but is allowed to keep the ones that don't have owners as her own pets, which is a lot.
Her pet lion, Muddles, was actually found by her as a cub long ago. She helped her mom nursed it back to health, and the two became very close. However, it had a broken leg from that point on, with nothing Viney or her mom could do.
Luz was able to come, using an illusion to hide her ears. The first thing she did once there… is hug Muddles to the point of choking.
"YOU ARE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL HUMAN CREATURE, I MUST HAVE ONE OF MY OWN," she said.
"You seem to really like lions," Viney's mom said.
"Well, I did a lot of research on many of these creatures back at home," Luz said.
"By the way, where are you from," Viney's mom asked.
Viney and Luz looked at each other nervously.
"Uh… she's from… Spain," Viney said quickly.
"Oh, really, do you know any Spanish," Viney's mom asked.
Viney looked worried, but then Luz said, "¿Puedo quedarme con este león para siempre?"
This shocked Viney, while Viney's mom was impressed.
"I took a lot of lessons from my Mom," Luz said.
"Can your Mom teach me lessons some time," Viney's mom asked.
Luz frowned and let go of Muddles, "My mom is… not with me right now. But I can give you lessons if you want."
"That would be delightful," Viney's mom said before a ring came, "That's for me, see you."
Viney's mom then left the room, leaving just a shocked Viney.
"What was that? How did you do that," Viney asked.
"You humans have a lot of junk," Luz said, "My mom found this book when she was my age and taught herself Spanish, something she taught to me."
"Whoa, is that where my socks go," Viney asked.
"Socks, cans, books," Luz said, "Seriously, you humans have a lot of garbage."
"Yeah, tell me about it," Viney said.
"Anyway, tell me, how did you get this beautiful creature," Luz asked.
"Oh, I found Muddles here after he broke his back left leg," Viney said, "He could never use that back leg ever since."
"Oh, I'm so sorry," Luz said.
"It's okay, we've been trying to heal it for a while, so he can be released into the wild," Viney said, "Until then, we're looking out for him."
"Oh, wow," Luz said, "You're really like animals."
"Like, I love them," Viney said, "They're my life." That last line was a little bit creepy.
"Ok," Luz said, a bit unnerved by that last line.
(Later)
Muddles was sleeping on his bed. There, a shadow appeared…
"Yes, this could be useful,"
(Later)
Willow, Gus, Amity, Skara, and Luz were at the cabin again, with it feeling more like a house. It has purple wallpaper with stars, as well as a nightlight on the back. There is a sleeping bag on the side, and an owl rest for Owlbert.
"This old thing is getting more and more like a suitable living place by the minute," Amity said.
"Yeah, thanks guys," Luz said, "It feels good to know I have people I can trust in this place. Anyway, where is Viney?"
Suddenly, Viney bursted into the room.
"HAVE ANY OF YOU SEEN MUDDLES," Viney asked.
"What," Gus asked.
"I woke up to get Muddles his breakfast, but then, he was gone," Viney said.
"How do you lose such a big animal," Amity asked.
"He's not lost, he's stolen," Viney said as she showed a piece of red fabric that she found at the crime scene.
"Well, who could've stolen him," Gus asked.
"Wait, let me see that piece of fabric," Luz asked, which Viney did. Luz looked closely.
"I know who this belongs to," Luz said, "Tibbles."
"Who's Tibbles," Viney asked ferociously.
"He's a wild witch, like me, but where as I tried to fight back, Tibbles pretty much adapted the identity of a criminal, and sells anything through the black market," Luz explained.
"Including lions," Amity asked.
"Lions are seen as mystical beings back at home," Luz said.
"Ok, how do we track him down," Viney asked.
"I have one way, do you have anything with Muddle's scent on it," Luz asked.
"One thing, here," Viney said before showing some yellow fur.
"Ok, now place it down and stand back," Luz said. As Viney did as Luz asked, Luz crouched on all fours. Her eyes glowed orange, and her hair grew more wilder. She sniffed the fur, and then saw Muddles scent.
"This way," Luz said, as she ran out, still on all fours.
"Where," Amity asked.
"Just trust me," Luz said.
Viney quickly went after Luz, followed by Amity, Gus, Willow, and Skara. They travelled through the woods, deeper than they went when they first met Luz. It took a while for them to find the end of the scent, but when they did, they found a hidden cave that led to somewhere.
"What is this," Gus asked.
"It's a cave," Amity replied.
"I know it's a cave, but where does it go," Gus asked.
"I don't know, but Muddle's scent goes down there," Luz said, "So, does anyone…"
"I… don't feel comfortable in tight places," Skara said, "I'll stay up here."
"I'll stay with her," Willow said.
"Alright, anyone else wants to stay behind," Luz asked.
"This is Muddles. I'll do anything for him," Viney said.
"I'll come," Amity said.
"Me too," Gus said.
"All right, let's go," Luz said as she, Viney Gus, and Amity went into the cave.
They climbed down the long cave, as it seemed to go downward forever, getting darker and darker. Luckily, Luz lit one of her hands with a light spell to light the way. Luz's eyes were still glowing as she still tracked Muddles's scent.
"Anyway, how are you able to track Muddles's scent," Viney asked.
"Beast Keeping magic," Luz said, "Basically allows you to tame animals, talk to them, and even use animalistic traits. Picked this up from…"
Luz looked a little bit traumatised, thinking of the coven heads that had lost their life thanks to her.
"Luz," Amity said, when she saw her friend freeze up a little.
"It's nothing," Luz said, "Anyway, Muddles' scent is getting stronger. We're close."
"Good," Viney said, "When I get my hands on Tibble, I will personally strangle him and hang him, and make him lunch."
Amity and Gus were a little unnerved by that. They knew Viney was into animals, and was really… weird about it, but never to the point to murdering someone. Then again, they knew the tight bond that she and Muddles had, so someone stealing him would've definitely triggered her.
However, they suddenly heard a type of sound… a sound that is the same as whenever Luz creates a spell circle. Suddenly, a gas appeared, an orange gas. Soon, Luz Viney, Gus, and Amity started to feel dizzy.
"Sleeping spell," Luz screeched.
Soon, Viney, Gus, Amity, and Luz blacked out.
(Later)
"Ugh… where am I," Luz asked as she woke up, gaining consciousness. She found herself tied up with metal chains on top of the roof.
"Ugh…Brrrgh…Amity, Viney, Gus," Luz called out.
"Oh, they'll be dealt with quickly," A tiny, but menacing voice said. Luz looked, and saw a small, pig-like figure hiding in the shadows.
"Yeah, real original, how about you come out of here like an actual witch," Luz said, "Tibbles."
Tibbles then walked out.
"Dang it Luzura, I was just about to do a cool villain thing, and you ruined it," He said.
"Uh-huh, why not just tell me what you're going to do with Muddles, or where you put my friends," Luz asked.
"Oh, don't worry, your friends are safe, for now," Tibbles said, "As for your pet."
A light then shines, showing Muddles stuck in the cage, with every time he tried to knock down the gate, it glowed orange, and knocked him back.
"What do you plan to do with him," Luz asked.
"Well, I just ended up here after a flash of light, and then, I found this world, a world full of stuff that will be huge on the black market at home," Tibbles explained.
"You found a way home," Luz asked.
"Well, not exactly, but I am working on some ideas, maybe analysing that light that shone…" Tibbles then continued to ramble on.
Meanwhile, near them, but not exactly in the same room, was Viney, Amity, and Gus tied up in a similar way to Luz. Viney was trying to break free.
"Forget it Viney, it's not coming off," Amity said, "It's a similar design to what my dad uses."
"I can't give up, Muddles needs me," Viney said.
Suddenly, they were flown into the same room that Tibbles and Luz were in.
"Aww, that's touching, but the whole point of an unbreakable rope is that you can't break it dummy," Tibbles said.
"So… your Tibbles," Gus said.
"Yep, that's right," Tibbles answered.
"Good," Viney said, "Now let me out so I can strangle you and free my lion."
"Oh, but he is so perfect to sell, plus, I want to see my mortal enemy Luzura suffer," Tibbles explained.
"Then why kidnap us man," Gus asked.
"Because after watching in the background, watching her many fights against Emperor Belos, it finally hit me," Tibbles said, "She would hate to see her friends go."
Viney, who was still trying to break free, then stopped and said, "Wait, what now."
Then, Tibbles activated a spell circle, and fire then came at the feet of Amity, Gus, and Viney, with the fire growing bigger, and more fierce.
Luz tried to break out to save them before they get engulfed.
"No!" she screamed, before creating another spell circle and shooting it… and missing Tibbles entirely.
"Haha, you missed," Tibbles said.
Suddenly, Luz smiled. "Wanna bet," she asked cheesily.
Suddenly, a roar is heard. Tibbles then looked and saw Muddles out, as he tackled Tibbles down.
"Er, down boy, down." Tibbles warned him, cowardly.
Then, he slashed in the air, freeing Luz, who was up above them. She then went to free the rest, using an ice spell to counteract the fire.
Meanwhile, Tibbles was trying to escape Muddles, until he was cornered. Muddles appeared to him, with Viney on top.
"Listen Tibbles, and listen well," Viney threatened, "This lion is mine. He is my best friend. So I'll give you a few seconds to run before I give you food for him. And if you dare come back if you do flee, I will make you regret it for the rest of your lives."
Tibbles then ran, screaming like a baby.
"Is he always this pathetic," Amity asked.
"Eh, yeah," Luz answered.
(Later)
Luz, Amity, Viney, and Gus then walked out, with Viney riding Muddles.
"Hey guys," Willow said, "We just saw this weird pig guy run out. Does that have anything to do with you?"
"Yeah, you can say that," Luz said.
"I'm just glad I got Muddles back," Viney said, "Thanks guys."
"Hey, what are friends for," Luz said.
The gang then went back home. Luz however, couldn't shake off this strange feeling.
(Meanwhile)
Eda was hiding in the trees, observing the group.
"Lily, I think it's time we got involved," she said.
