Laying intertwined in tangled limbs, Della's breath calmed against Perry's chest as he stroked her back with his right hand as it played with her soft curls as he tried to stir her awake. Della placed butterfly kisses on his chest which caused him to look down at her she shifted against him and returned his gaze. He palmed her cheek and then took her chin in his hand giving her a quick kiss on her lips. Della leaned into his touch while he held her tight as he pulled the sheet up over them.

"Perry, what did you do before law school?" Della whispered against his chest as her fingertips tickled his chest hairs before settling her hand in the middle of his chest.

"I graduated high school and did odd jobs before my father told me that I should be doing something with my life. I joined the Navy for four years. I finally came back to Los Angeles and started helping my father out in his office and well I followed my father's advice and went off to law school." Perry sighed and glanced down at her caressed her cheek and brushed a stray lock off her forehead.

"Speaking of joining the Navy, not one young lady caught your eye? I mean with all that traveling around the world. You had to be lonely Perry." Della rose on her elbows, looked down at him seductively as he ran his fingertips down her long arms before he took her wrist in his larger hand.

"I did have a girlfriend, but nothing ever came of it because she was interested in my friend Christopher. I decided then that I'd let fate fall into place. If I was to be with someone then she'd be in my life. I was single until I started Law school and met Laura along the way. We became friends, and we dated up until I saw you and the rest is history. The day you entered my life; you changed my whole being. What I felt inside; I knew I would never feel with anyone else, and I wanted to be with you." Perry spoke softly to her and brought her wrist to his lips kissing her there. Della rolled off to her side of the bed looking up at the ceiling while he mimicked her only for a few seconds before he turned in her direction and rested his head on her belly. He looked up at her and breathed in her scent as laid his left arm across her while she held it in place and stroked his hair with her right hand.

"I just got a few things to take with me back to Los Angeles. Everything else I'm leaving here," Della stated as she rubbed his forearm.

"What are you taking Della?" He whispered against her with closed eyes waiting for her to respond.

"Whatever Michael didn't buy me that is being left here most definitely. I don't want anything to remind me of him." Della closed her eyes for a moment then turned her attention to his state of slumber.

"I thought I made you forget about him." Perry mumbled against her as he nuzzled her under her breast and made her laugh and she grabbed his forearm in response.

"You did Perry!" Perry began kissing her on her rib cage before leaning his full frame over her, covering her, and capturing her lips with his. His thirst for her was undeniable as he showed her that he wanted to be with her and only her as they made love into the night. Exhausted by their show of love for each other finally let sleep overtake them. With her back to him, he pulled her into his embrace and held her to him as his shallow breath tickled her sensitive skin.

Sunrise started to peek through the curtains of the window. Perry blinked slowly while he slept next to a naked, gorgeous, brunette who was soon going to be his wife. He watched her sleeping form and thought he would run out to get breakfast before they left for the airport. He looked over her shoulder knowing she was still in a deep state of sleep, placed a chaste kiss onto her shoulder and tested her to see if she would wake suddenly. Perry quietly slipped out from under the sheets and looked back at her to see any movement. He was safe and quickly found his slacks that were across the room. He stuck his hand in the pocket and retrieved the gold bracelet he purchased earlier taking it from the gift box.

Trying not to make a sound was no easy task. Carefully he unclasped the hook and slowly eased it onto her wrist, watching to see if she stirred awake, but she was totally out of it. Looking at her wrist, he took the chance and slowly put it on her wrist and fastened it. He quickly backed away, as she started to move but only for a moment. He was safe and quietly went into the kitchen to scribble a message on a piece of paper. Walking back into her bedroom, he placed his note next to her pillow and left the room. Put on coffee in the pot while he dressed in his slacks and shirt, he hurried out the door closing it softly. Coffee was brewing and the smell drifted its aroma throughout the apartment stirring a sleepy Della awake.

Della rolled over thinking Perry was still in bed next to her, reaching for him but finding an empty warm spot next to her. Waking up alone, dreadful thoughts ran through her head because he had left and was not in her bed. She felt something on her wrist that wasn't there before and was mesmerized by the gold craftmanship. She saw his suitcase still in the apartment. After closing her eyes in relief, she noticed a piece of notepaper folded near her pillow. She opened it from the crease to read in Perry's handwriting; "Della, I didn't have the heart to wake you. I wanted to thank you for last night. I will be thanking you for the rest of your life. I went out for breakfast I will be back soon." P.M. Della admired the gold bracelet on her wrist thinking to herself, how did she become so lucky to be in his life and laid back against her pillow.

It was early morning, and the day was going to be busy for the both of them. Perry rushed back to her apartment bumping into a young blonde woman who gave him a once-over smiling at him. He acknowledged her but continued on his way down the hall while the young woman watched him enter Della's apartment. The young woman shrugged her shoulders and left the building thinking she might have had a chance at the handsome stranger but found out he had other plans. Opening her door quietly, he kicked his shoes off, sat down the paper bag on the table, and walked to find her still asleep or so he thought. He entered her bedroom, kneeled beside her, and watched her shallow breathing when she stirred awake to see him finally back.

"I thought you changed your mind about us," Della teased him playfully and took his hand in hers as the bracelet shined into the sunlight and sparkled. "You're kidding, right?" Perry's tone was serious, and his eyes never wavered as he looked at her and claimed her mouth with his making her breathless, before breaking the heated kiss.

"We got a big day ahead of us Della. I've got breakfast on the table and coffee on, and you still need to finish your last-minute packing," Perry whispered against her lips making her smile back at him.

"Yes, breakfast first, then I will finish my packing," Della stroked his stubble on his face and he leaned into her tender touch. Perry kissed the inside of her palm and wrist before retreating into the kitchen while Della folded the sheet down off her. Stretching her body as she leaned over, Della grabbed his dress shirt off the floor. Joining him for breakfast in the kitchen, she poured the coffee into two mugs and turned to hand him the mug as she sat down on the chair. Raking her hand through her curls, he served the breakfast consisted of two Western omelets, home fries, bacon, sausage and biscuits.

After breakfast, Della got up from her chair and put her mug in the sink, rinsed it out, then washed her mug before placing it in the drainer. Perry cleared the table throwing the empty containers in the waste bin. Perry came up from behind her and placed his mug into the sink and enveloped her with his strong arms.

"Perry, you want to make us late for our flight out, don't you?" Della spoke while looking at him at the corner of her eye giving him a sly grin.

"We can always get a later flight out if you want to," his voice low in her ear making her shiver with anticipation of him getting his way. Sighing and rubbed his arms she turned in his embrace looking up at him, as he held her closely, she put her arms on his shoulders, gazing into his hungry eyes, knowing he wanted to have her again.

"I'm going to finish packing, and then I'm going to shower before we leave. I hope I didn't ruin your plans," Della drew him into a kiss as her hands drifted down to the front of his slacks and felt his erection that was prominent only for her. She stroked him before leaving him standing in the kitchen with closed eyes. Suddenly, feeling the loss of her he opened his eyes seeing that she had left and he went to her bedroom finding her, gathering her clothes and folding them up in her suitcase.

"You want me to help with anything Della?"

"Sure, you can take this suitcase I'm finished with this one. I've got another suitcase to gather the rest of my stuff." Della told him as she fastened it and he took it from her taking it beside his own in the front living room. One last drawer Della opened it revealing her intimate's, bras, and a couple of negligees. Perry joined her looking down into the mess of garments and picked a nice silk panty out of the heap brought it to his nose as Della quickly snatched it playfully away from him smacked him on the hand and pushed him back from the dresser.

"Oh, I think I'm going to have a panty raid here," Perry teased her putting his hand back in the garments while stealing another out of the dresser when Della had her back turned on him, slipping it into his pocket for safekeeping, he rocked on his feet. Della fed up with his antics pushed him away playfully to finish her suitcase and closed it up. Looking around the room for anything she might have missed, she took the photos off the dresser and placed them in another smaller suitcase along with a sentimental figurine her grandmother gave to her.

"Perry you are unbelievable. Do you know that?" Della finished her packing and took her sheets off her mattress and tossed them in the laundry basket along with a few other articles of clothing and headed to the washing machine and started the laundry.

"I'm a man, Della, I just can't help myself." He watched her cautiously as she approached him slowly and watched her body sway toward him seductively.

"Perry, I'm going to take a quick shower. Care to join me?" Della pushed him aside while he grabbed her hand turning her around to face him.

"Della, I couldn't say no to you." He growled at her as she led the way into the bathroom shutting the door.
