Aunt Chapter 5
Aunt made sure no detours were taken on the drive back to the mansion, keeping vigilant. She can't afford to be distracted. Aunt wanted her and Father to be as far away from Grandfather as possible during this ongoing madness. While she has her guard up Father is a complete utterly depressed mess. Sulking heavily on how the supposed partnership and recognition he was expecting to receive from this completely nonexistent and down the toilet.
And, though she knows for a fact he'd never admit to it, self-loathing. His conduct proves to be beyond pathetic for what his actions have caused. So much for the reputation and integrity, he's worked so hard to gain over the years.
The moment the two arrive back home Father donned his favorite fuzzy yellow robe and matching slippers. He claims a carton of rocky road ice cream to drown his sorrows in and plants himself on his designated armchair in the parlor where his massive piano organ is. It's where he remains for the rest of the day, only rising whenever he needs to acquire a new carton of ice cream from the freezer.
During this time Aunt watches the monitors for hours on end watching everywhere and everything Grandfather is doing, keeping track of it all.
Grandfather is certainly making up for lost time and not taking any chances this time around. He's not discriminating between children and adults alike as he made clear at the convention center. He's keen on exterminating all threats to his world domination this time around. Including the root of all of it.
The Kids Next Door.
One by one as Grandfather and his newly revitalized army make their way across the globe, activating tapioca factory's everywhere, they easily overwhelm and take over every Kids Next Door Treehouse they can invade. Soon only the Moon Base remains. Grandfather sets an attack force to remove the resistance there.
Hardly any place on Earth is left untouched by Grandfather's influence. Their home is one of the few that aren't. And even in this perspective Aunt realizes they only have borrowed time. And the only reason why Grandfather might leave them alone is that neither sibling purposed as a threat to him before. May perhaps even bypass them in this system he's created because Father revived him in the first place. Professional courtesy at its best. But this is more than likely wishful thinking as Grandfather manipulates the entire globe to his image. Using his power to further his own cruel, despicable, and diabolical agenda. Grandfather has no soul. He never did and never will.
Just as Aunt is about to lose all hope and fight for her very being a possible welcome solution literally knocks on their door, disturbing what peace they have left.
The doorbell rings, and Aunt rises to answer.
Aunt opens it, and met with the last two people she's expecting.
Surprise and fear quickly transform into a calm visage as she locks eyes with someone she hasn't seen for a very long time.
"Monty," breathed Aunt in astonishment.
Winking at her, Monty said "Hello, Lena. Apologies for the unannounced performance, but, as you've probably guessed by now, we're a little short on time."
Turning towards a suspicious and untrusting Number One, Aunt said "You recommissioned him."
Number 1 doesn't relax the fighting stance he shifted into when she announced herself.
"Is Ben in," said Monty.
"Yes, he's inside. Maybe you can talk some sense into him," said Aunt in a mixture of disappointment and disgust.
Grabbing his father's arm as he steps into the mansion, in disbelief, incredulously, Number 1 shouted "Are you crazy, Dad?! I know you've been away and all, but this is the home of one of my sector's worst enemies!"
"Try listening to what's going on Number 1. You might just learn something," said Monty, smiling secretly.
What does Monty know that his son doesn't?
Number 1 is about to get a huge reality check.

By the way whose been watching House of the Dragon? I am so in love with Prince Daemon. He is a dream. Matt Smith was the perfect person to play that character. Similar to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool no one could've done it better.
