Akira's POV
I slowly open my eyes, and quickly closed my eyes again when the sunlight greeted me. I grumbled and sat up on my futon, running my hand through my hair to smooth it out a little.
I look around alert, not being familiar where am I.
I sigh remembering the events yesterday. I look beside me and see Sensei reading his book. My eyes twitch.
I lean towards him trying to peek at the book but he suddenly closed it.
"Akira, you're awake." He said giving me an eye smile, putting his book in his pouch.
"nhn" I just nodded and stand up cleaning my futon. Sensei just watch me. I check my bag. I turn to look around finding something.
(Where is it?) I thought. Looking around my bag.
"Is this what you're looking for?" Sensei said making me look at him, holding my book.
"Why do you have my book?" I asked confused
"Ma, I just found it laying on the floor, I got interested and read it" He explained ruffling my hair
I squint my eyes at him and tried to snatch the book at him but he pull it down, looking at it.
"This is a good book. Good choice." He said nodding his head.
"I don't really care, besides it's just about being a Shinobi" I said snatching it away again and succeeding this time. I put the book back in my bag.
"Ma, don't be like that, you're my student and I'm you're Sensei you should have said thank you or something" I heard him say with a bored tone. I turn my head to look at him. (Why would I say Thank you to him? This is my book, it should be the other way around.)
"Well, thank you, Sensei..." I said with a poker face and fix the things in my bag.
"That's not even sincere" He said with a hint of fake disappointment in his voice. I just ignored him and continue to arrange my things. I run my hand again on my hair smoothing it out.
"I think I should thank you for cleaning my wound" He said making me turn at him, seeing him looking at his hands that still have gauze
(How did he know?)
He sees the confusion on my face " Sakura came here earlier, checking on us" He said putting back his gloves
(Ohh, so they're already awake..)
"I just clean it and put a gauze on it, it's not that hard to do" I said standing up, and walk towards the cabinet to place my bag there
"Besides as you said you're my 'Sensei', Sensei, so I can't let you just bleed there having untreated wound" I said turning around to look at him.
He was about to say something when the door slid open getting our attention. Revealing the team and Tsunami-san once the door is completely opened.
"Ohh Akira, you're awake, perfect I just finished preparing breakfast. Just go down" Tsunami-san said with a big smile and leave the room.
"Sensei, here..." Sakura said giving Sensei wooden crutches. Sakura helps him stand up, I gather the futon he used and fold it putting it beside mine. I walk towards the team again. "Akira, come on now, I'm excited on our training-dattebayo!" Naruto exclaims pulling me towards him
"You're so loud it's still so early..." I said as we leave the room and proceed to go down and eat breakfast.

"So, now the training begins!" Sensei said.
"Yes, Sir!" Naruto shouts very excitedly
"So... before that, let me again explain Chakra power for a Ninja, from the basics." Sensei said
(Do we really need to discuss that...) I thought, just wanting to start training.
"At this point..." Sasuke said
"Of course, we know about that! Chatora, right-dattebayo?" Naruto said making us sigh
"Naruto, it's CHAKRA" I said looking stressed all of a sudden.
"Right, it's chakra..." Naruto said sweat dropping
"Yes, Sakura-kun...?" Sensei said gesturing his hands to Sakura
"Are you listening, Naruto?! It's tiresome, so I'll explain it simply!" Sakura said ready to lecture Naruto. Sakura then pulled out a scroll.
(Where did that come from?...) I thought dumbfounded
"Chakra is energy that Ninja needs when he uses a Jutsu! It's made up of two energies: First, Physical Energy..."
(I wanted to listen, but my mind is not in the mood...) I said to myself sighing. My mind wanders to the possible events that could happen in the book I'm reading.
I jump when a hand was put on top of my head.
"Iruka Sensei really does have good students" Sensei said beside me, making Sakura chuckle
(Oh, their finish)
"Whatever! I may not understand difficult explanations, but I just learn it with my body!" Naruto said, not wanting any more lectures.
"Naruto is absolutely right... we're able to use Jutsu..." Sasuke said
Sensei then removed his hand from my head putting his weight on the crutches.
"No! All of you still haven't used Chakra efficiently." Sensei said making the team confused.
"What?!" Naruto said mouth open
"Hold on and listen... As Sakura explained earlier, combining Chakra means picking up both the physical and spiritual energies and mixing them together within the body. And of course the amount of each energy, the preparation of the energy, changes based on the Jutsu you want to activate... All of you at present aren't using Chakra efficiently! Even if you're able to combine a lot of Chakra if you're not able to control it in a balanced way the effectiveness of Jutsu not only will be cut in half but it may not even be activated at all. wasting energy will prevent you from battling for long periods. These weaknesses that can occur." Sensei explains
"W-what should we do...?" Naruto said scratching his head while laughing awkwardly.
"You need to learn to control the Chakra with your body! Its difficult training that requires you to put your life on the line to master!" Sensei said making the team shock
"What we will do?" I ask, putting my weight to my left feet
"Hm? Tree climbing" Sensei said
"Tree climbing?!" The team shouts confused
(Ehh? but, like, I...) I thought my shoulder dropping
(I thought it was something very exciting- I mean it was exciting to learn...)
"That's right. But it's not just simple tree-climbing! You will climb without using your hands" Sensei said showing his hands.
"What? How?" Sakura said looking at Sensei like his stupid, making me chuckle.
"Wahhh!" Naruto suddenly shouts shocking us. He suddenly looked at me his eyes twinkling
"Why?..." I ask getting scared.
"Is that the thing you do-dattebayo?" Naruto said making the team look at me
"Eh...ahh, maybe," I said laughing awkwardly. I can see Sasuke smirking in the corner of my eye, seeming like he is kind of expecting it and proud?...
(Eh...Why are they looking at me like that...) I thought getting uncomfortable
"Really?" Sakura said shocked
"That's possible?" Sakura asked amazed.
"Well! Just watch" Sensei suddenly said getting the team's attention
He forms a hand seal putting chakra on his feet. He walks towards a tree, but he suddenly looks over his shoulder looking at me.
"Follow me, Akira" He said before continuing to walk toward the tree. He put his foot on the tree with chakra enabling him to walk perpendicular to the tree, my teammate was shocked
"He's climbing perpendicular to the tree and with his feet" Sakura said looking at Sensei slowly walking on the tree. Once sensei was on a branch hanging upsidedown he looked at me, as if indicating that I should do the same but I didn't move right away.
"As I observed from the team you have the most proper chakra control, next is Sakura" he said making Sakura look proud
"Come on, Akira climbed the tree-dattebayo" Naruto said pushing me looking very excited.
"hai," I said walking to the tree, forming a hand seal and putting chakra on the bottom of my feet.
(Okay...) I sighed. I put my foot on the tree making it stick, and continually walk perpendicular to the tree until I reach Sensei. The only difference is I'm not hanging upside down
"Is it okay now?.." I said awkwardly, as I notice them looking at me intensively.
"If you control you're Chakra well, then you will be able to do this" Sensei said after giving me an eye smile, looking at the team.
"Focus the Chakra on the bottoms of your feet and make them stick to the tree trunk." Sensei explained giving them an eye smile.
"Wait a minute! How does something like that make you strong?" Sakura said confused.
"So this is the main point... The aim of this training is to accumulate the required amount of combined Chakra to the required spot... This is surprisingly difficult even for an expert Ninja. The amount of Chakra used for tree climbing is very subtle. And the bottom of the feet are the most difficult place to gather Chakra." Sensei explains, he suddenly looks at me indicating I should continue what he is saying
(Why me?...) I thought sighing then turning my head to look at the team
"It means, in a fight, it will be more difficult to control and maintain the amount of chakra you will need to use...So, if you have proper chakra control you'll be able to fight more efficiently and it's possible to do the Jutsu you want" I explained boredly
"You guys get it right? Come on guys just do it! Just learn it with your bodies" I said getting tired all of a sudden, making Sensei chuckle
Sensei suddenly throws three kunai in their direction. The kunai landing close to their feet.
"Use that Kunai to put a mark at the spot where you can climb up to under your own strength. Next, make an effort to put the mark further from it. You aren't good enough to walk up from the start, so run and use your momentum to get used to it... You got it?!" Sensei said as they picked up the kunai
"This training is nothing! Hah, it's too easy for me! After all, I'm the man who's grown the most-dattebayo!" Naruto said with determination.
"Just do it, Naruto." I said with a poker face, making him sweatdropped
They all form a hand seal, closing their eyes as they concentrate to gather chakra on their feet.
"Ready, here I go!" Naruto said as they all run to their trees
Naruto already slips with not even making one foot stick to the tree. Sasuke climbs a few feet before he marks the tree jumping down. I look at Sakura and see her already sitting on a branch.
She looks in our direction giving me a peace sign. I smile at her leaning my shoulder on the tree, then I look down again at Naruto and Sasuke having the same concentration.
"Naruto! Come on now, I thought it's easy" I said teasing him. He looks sharply at me with a frown on his face.
"This is pretty easy!" Sakura said making all of them look at her. Naruto and Sasuke looked shocked
"S-Sakura-chan!" Naruto said completely shocked
"So, it looks like the ones with the best control of the Chakra are the girls..." Sensei said
"Wow! Way to go Sakura-chan! Just what you'd expect from the girl I set my sight on-dattebayo!" Naruto said but you can see him having second thoughts. I looked at Sasuke and see him having an annoyed look.
"Come on boys... You're so lame..." I said looking disappointed, making them look more annoyed. I can't help but chuckle at their reaction.
"It looks like they might be the closest one to becoming a Hokage... unlike someone else." Sensei said, making Naruto look at him with more determination.
" And also, the Uchiha Clan isn't really that great..." Sensei continued making Sasuke look more annoyed then he looked at the tree with determination. I can't help but chuckles at the faces their making.
"Shut up Sensei!" Sakura shouts pointing a finger at Sensei.
Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other with a challenging look before they ran again towards the tree
"I should go down..." I mutter making Sensei look at me. I turn to look at him uncertainly.
" ...or should I climb higher?" I asked, looking at the tree
"Ma, for now, this is okay, you can teach or maybe help them..." He said looking at Naruto and Sasuke both trying to climb the tree
"nhn" I nodded jumping down the tree, leaving him there.
When I land on my feet, Naruto turns to look at me with excitement, I walk towards him hand in my pockets
"What? Do it, just put all you're concentration on and try to relax" I said to him leaning slightly at him.
"Yoshi! First I'll catch up to Sasuke! I'll do it for sure. Just watch Akira-ttebayo!" Naruto said ready to climb the tree again. I look at Sasuke who's looking at us. I wave my other hand at him
"Do you want help, Sasuke-kun?..." I said teasing him
He just looks at me as his brow twitches and looks at the tree again ignoring me.
"humph..." I hum smirking
(The pride... of course) I thought as both of them started to climb the tree again.

"Are you okay Naruto?" I ask as he falls from the tree again. I jump down the tree I'm climbing and walk towards him, sitting beside Naruto.
I look at Sakura who is already worn off leaning on the tree she's climbing.
"Man, this is tiring..." I mutter catching my breath. (I'm not really worn off like Sakura, but I have been doing the same thing for a few hours, climbing the tree higher then jumping down the tree. Even though, I know how to climb a tree, I still didn't have proper chakra control so this is a good practice.)
I wipe the sweat on my face, examining their progress. Naruto suddenly stomp his feet looking annoyed
"Kuso!" He shouts looking at the tree then he walks toward Sakura with a cheeky smile.
I just sigh and look at the tree I'm climbing.
(Man, should I climb this again?... Well this is a good exercise, I could pass some time doing this.) I thought, swaying my feet a little. I nodded my head, standing up again, I stretch before walking towards the tree. I was about to climb again when a hand was put on my shoulder
"Ma, I think that's enough, besides you've already mastered it before we even do this training," Sensei said looking at the tree
"Huh? Buts it's actually fun to do, I thought I could add some thrill" I said putting my hand on my waist. He looked at me.
"Hmh? Well, just do it next time. I think Sakura and you can help Tazuna-san later or tomorrow" He said eye smiling at me.
"Well, that's fine with me" I said looking at him with a small smile

"It looks like you've got some time to kill" Tazuna-san said looking at us
"what happened to the blond boy and that stuck up boy?" Tazuna-san asked carrying a steel
"They're in the middle of tree-climbing training." Sakura explained to him
"The two of you don't have to do that?"
"We're exceptional, so Kakashi Sensei told us to guard you." Sakura said cockily
"Really?" Tazuna-san said making my eyebrow twitch
"What?!" Sakura said annoyed
Tazuna-san put the steel down when an old man called him
"You got a minute, Tazuna?"
"Huh? What's up, Giichi?" Tazuna-san said wiping the sweat on his face
"Uh, actually...I gave it a lot of thought. Building this bridge... will you let me quit?" The old man said uncertainly
"Why so sudden? Not you too?!" Tazuna-san shouts shocked
"Tazuna, I've had a bond with you from the old days. I'd like to cooperate, but if we push it too far, Gato will set his sight on us, too. Why don't you just stop building this bridge?" The old man responded, looking scared. I look at Tazuna-san waiting for him to talk
"Not a chance... This is our bridge. This is a bridge that everyone in town has built believing that it would generate distribution and transportation for this poor Land of Waves that has few resources. Giichi..." Tazuna-san said walking away from him
"...you don't have to come back tomorrow." He said going to start working again.
"Maybe I could help a little..." I mutter making Sakura look at me
"Ehhh? What you're gonna do, Akira" Sakura said confused
"Well, I can do Shadow clones..." I said standing up and sighing
"I see..." She said, then she also stand up making me confused
"Maybe I could help too" She said with a smile. I nodded giving her a smile. We walk towards Tazuna-san who's talking with other people working
"Tazuna-san!" Sakura called, getting Tazuna-san attention as the person he was talking to walked away.
"What is it?" Tazuna-san asked
"You see, we can lend you some help" I said with a kind smile
"What does a chibi like you can do?" He said not believing us
"I could make some clones, you know," I grumbled, crossing my arms. Sakura had an annoyed expression on her face as if she was about to punch someone.
(What is it with these people...)
"Besides, if we can fight Zabuza, do you think we can't do something like this?" I asked, still irritated.
"Well, you have a point, purple-eyed..." He said as he continued to tell us what we could do.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I said once I'm in the forest to get the material they needed. Sakura is still on the bridge helping the other workers, also giving them some food and water.
"Okay..." I said to myself sighing
"What? Don't look at me like that" I said to my clones who were looking at me as if I'm stupid
"But you can do it yourself, you're the one who volunteered..." One of my clones grumbled
(What the hell...This is why I don't like making Shadow clones) I thought, my eyebrow twitching
"You guys, don't be lazy, help me, pretty please" I said pouting a little and putting my hand together
(Kuso! Why does this always happens to me...) I thought wanting to hide in a corner
"You see guys we're not going to finish if you don't get moving" I said looking stress
They squint their eyes at me as if they are judging me
"nhn" "Sure" They said nodding their head, starting to walk in groups
"Really... My clones are stupid and lazy... I'm stupid and lazy..." I mutter to myself chuckling a little
"Ahh... mo, I'm becoming crazy. laughing by myself!" I groaned, walking towards a group to join them.
*After almost an hour of going back and forth on the bridge and the forest
"Yoshi! This is the last" I said sighing.
"Thank god, we're almost finished" One of the clones said stretching
"Get moving... get-" I said but stopped when my clones slowly popped out
"nande?" I said getting alert and analyzing the clone's memories.
"What's that... Damn it..." I whisper looking around trying to expand my chakra, three of my clones surround me looking around.
"I'm really unlucky..." I said as I heard a playful chuckle.
"Ohhh..." A teasing laugh can be heard through the forest. Suddenly someone kicks my clone, the clone's memory coming back to me
(My clones didn't even have a chance of seeing the enemy) I thought getting frustrated.
A kick on my stomach sends me flying into a tree
"ahh..." I groaned holding my stomach. I didn't have time to stand when someone grab me by the neck pushing me onto the tree. I try to swing my kunai with lighting chakra but they hit my hand enabling him to steal my kunai. Their hold on my neck tightens but enough for me to still breathe. I try to loosen his hold on my neck but nothing happens
(damn it... all I could make out of them, was them wearing a fucking gloves...) I thought as I try to escape. I stop when a kunai was pointed at my cheek causing a small wound. I tensed when their chakra became cold and dark.
(So dark and cold...) I thought panicking, breath shaky.
(Why did I even volunteer to help...) I thought wanting to chuckle at how unlucky I am
"Same eyes... same hair... same technique..." They said, voice cold chuckling a little. Their hold on my neck loosened a bit but still not enough for me to have a chance to escape.
"Same face..." They said something in their voice changed, it softened with a sad tone in it.
I just stare at them even though I can't make out anything because of the dark
"Do you want to know something... No, I'll tell you something" They said you can hear in their tone that their smirking. Suddenly the air surrounding us change, becoming tense, as if we were in a very enclosed area.
Blood all over the place. Shouts filled the area. My breathing becomes hard, my hands started to shake.
"Stop!" I shout as I try to release their hold on me
(Was it a Genjutsu?...)
"It's a real thing..." They whispered right into my ear, making my heart pound fast. A chakra spike can be detected from the distance slowly approaching this area.
"Seems like they already here... maybe it's still not time for you to know," They said backing away, I tried to make out something on their face but I didn't see anything
"Who are you!?..." I asked breathlessly my hands still shaking. They chuckle leaning again
"You will know at the right time, Akira... " They whispered making me shocked then they leaned back again
"...Akira-chan" They said, with a chuckle. I can see some of their features
(Who are you...) I thought looking at them, while they're having a mirk on their face
"I'll make sure the next time you see me you'll know everything...Akira" They whispered as they disappeared. The hand holding my neck was gone, making me fall to the ground, breathing hard
"Who?..." I mutter looking around. I hold onto my head feeling pain.
"Kuso!" I said as the pain in my head worsen.
"No please, stop it, stop it!" I said covering my ears as the shouts get louder, blood keeps pouring down soaking me. Blurred scenes keep playing in my head, a person collapsed saying a name. My chakra going haywire.
"Ahhh! Stop it!" I shout full of agony, something in my heart slowly breaking as it keeps replaying in my head.
I can feel the chakra approaching faster this time.
"Please, stop it..." I whispered a tear falling down my eyes
I can hear a dog bark.
"Stop..." I whispered weakly, as my lips quivered trying not to cry.
"Akira!" A voice called making me look up, a small smile appearing on my lips
"Kakashi-s-" I whispered collapsing on the ground and losing consciousness

Sorry if the chapter's too long again, my mind keeps popping up with ideas, I didn't notice how long the chapter is already, but I hope you like this chapter
