Ansem the Wise's Point of View
There was a knock on the door to my study. "Come in!" I shouted. Mickey entered with a young girl, whom I assumed was Jessica trailing behind him. She had blonde hair tied up in two buns with pigtails drooping down and wore a pink backpack, a white sleeveless top, a pink vest, white gloves, a blue skirt, white leggings, and pink boots, and wore a necklace with a pink heart.
"Hello, Ansem. This is Jessica. Thank you so much for taking her in. Jessica, this is the person who's going to take care of you. Be good for him, okay? I would love to stay longer, but I have to go," Mickey said.
"Mickey, wait, please don't leave me," Jessica pleaded.
"Gosh, sorry, Jess. I have to. I'll visit soon," Mickey promised. Though Jessica seemed hesitant, she finally nodded her head in agreement. "See ya real soon." Though Jessica looked as though she was about to break at any moment, Mickey left.
She didn't seem to acknowledge my existence, so I knew that I needed to be the one to start a conversation. "So, I hear you're the princess of Sunset Kingdom."
Jessica finally looked at me. "I wish I wasn't. A lot of girls think being a princess is a dream come true, but it isn't what it's cracked up to be," She replied.
"As the ruler of Radiant Gardens, I'm well aware of that," I chuckled.
That seemed to spark her interest. "You rule this world?" she asked.
"Yes," I answered.
Before our conversation could get any farther, Even came in with Ienzo. "Sir, Ienzo ran off again. I don't know what to do with him," Even huffed.
"Leave Ienzo with me. I have someone I want you to meet. In fact, you both should meet her," I instructed.
Jessica looked at Even. "I didn't expect to see you again," She commented.
"What are you doing here?!" Even exclaimed.
"Even, this is the girl who will be staying with us for now. I take it you know each other?" I guessed. Jessica nodded.
"We've met. My apologies for my outburst," Even apologized before he went back to his business.
"Ienzo, you know how worried Even gets when you wander off," I chided.
"Even worries too much. I'm fine," Ienzo grumbled.
I couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, I'm sure Even will be talking to you about it later. For right now, there's someone I would like you to meet. Ienzo, this is Jessica. She will be staying with us for the time being. Jessica, this is my apprentice, Ienzo. Ienzo, why don't you show Jessica around."
"Kay. C'mon Jess." Ienzo said. He took Jessica to show her the castle.
Well, there you go. If anyone has any suggestions for making good chapters, please send them to me. I'm kind of winging it for this one. This isn't as important to Jessica's life, but it does hold some key concepts.
