Akira's POV
*Flashback*
"You have a lot of ramens here" I said examining the cabinet's contents
"No, it was all ramen..." I said climbing down the chair. I walk towards the table and sit on the chair
"Ahhaha, well that's my favorite-dattebayo..." he said scratching the back of his head
"You know I have candies here... do you want?" I said putting the candy on the table. He smiled at me and open the wrapper of the lollipop.
"This taste good..." He said, savoring the flavor
"I have more..." I said putting different kinds of candy on the table
"Akira, do you want ramen-dattebayo?" he said looking at the cabinet. I shake my head
"We just ate, I'm still full." I said putting my head on the table. He hums and walks towards his bed and sits there.
(It's already getting dark...) I thought looking out the window
"Naruto, I think I should go... It's getting dark" I said standing up and stretching.
He look at me and nodded
"Come on now, don't look so sad. I will come back here tomorrow, maybe with a surprise." I said teasing him. His expression becomes excited
"I'm counting on that-dattebayo!" He said smiling brightly
"You can have the candies..." I said turning my back on him and leaving his apartment through the door.
The cool breeze of the night touches my skin, making me sigh and I put my hands in my pockets
"Man, this day is entirely different from my other days..." I mutter walking down the stairs, smiling
"But it's a great one..."
"I should go back to my own apartment, I still need to think of a speech" I joked walking on the now dark street of the village.
-skip-
The loud ringing of my alarm clock can be heard in my room
"Ahh, mo" I groaned sitting up. I look around and stretch my body.
"I'm still sleepy..." I said plopping down again on the bed, arms spread on each side.
(Ohh, I still need to go to Naruto and ask for that...) I thought remembering my plan for the day
I quickly remove the cover and stand up. I stretch again and fix the sheets of my bed.
(What time is it?) I thought looking at my clock.
"Damn it's already 8..." I said going to my cabinet to pick my clothes, then I walk towards my bathroom to take a bath.

After a few minutes of preparing myself, I go outside and lock my door.
I turn around to leave but jump when I bump into someone. I hold on to my nose, and balance myself
"What the hell..." I said backing away from the person and look at the person in front of me annoyed.
"...ji-Hokage-sama" I stutter my annoyance gone
"Seems like you just woke up, I went here earlier and knock but no one's answering the door" He said, smiling at me
"Why are you here?" I ask with crossed arms
"Well, here's your allowance for the month" He said giving me an envelope
"Ahh, Thank you..." I said smiling
"That's all, I still need to go somewhere, please use it wisely, Akira" He said ruffling my hair a little then he turn around to leave
"Ahh..." I said making him stop. He looks back at me
"What is it, Akira?" He said with a kind smile. I look at my hand and play with my fingers
"umm.. C-can I move somewhere..." I said looking back at him
"Why? don't you like it here" The Hokage said, worry clear in his eye
"wh-what, no... It's... I want to move to a friend..." I whisper the last part
"I see, you finally talk to someone and wanted to live with them?" He said shocked but still smiling. I nodded my head and look back at my hand
"But I can't do that if they have a family, you can't live with them." He said
"What, no...they live alone," I said, waving my hand in front of me.
"Well, where's this friend of yours, Akira" He said putting his hand on my hair
"You agree?" I asked, looking back at him
"Well, not entirely, I still need to see who's your friend. Once I see them I will decide whether you can stay with them or not" The Hokage said removing his hand on my hair. My eyes twinkle hearing that. I quickly grab his hand, but immediately remove it.
"S-sorry I got a bit excited" I said, scratching my neck.
"No, it's okay, you can hold my hand if you want" He said making me nod quickly and holds his hand to drag him to where's my new best friend. I hear him chuckle at the sudden out-of-character behavior.
(It can't be helped, I finally found my light) I thought smiling a little
-skip-
"Are you sure this is the way towards, your friend?" He suddenly said. I look at him and nodded, still smiling.
"I see..." He said smiling, while we climbed the stairs. Once I reach his door, I knock but no one answers. I knock again this time someone is unlocking the door.
"Akira, you're here, I thought you forgot about me, I have been waiting for you-dattebayo," He said yawning
"You look like you just woke up..." I said looking at his appearance, still wearing pajamas. He chuckles and scratches his neck
"Come in!" He said excitedly. I was about to enter his apartment when someone clears their throat.
"Jiji!" Naruto said, looking up at him
"Naruto, I'm glad to see you" The Hokage said ruffling his hair. Naruto nodded and open the door wider. We enter in his apartment.
"Why are you here, jiji-ttebayo?" Naruto said jumping to sit on the counter of the kitchen.
Jiji take a glance at me before speaking
"Well, Naruto if someone wanted to live with you here, is that okay?" Jiji asked making Naruto confused
"Why? Did you want me to live with someone-dattebayo?" He asks
"You're talking too slow Jiji" I said stepping forward, getting Naruto's attention
"Akira?" Naruto asked
"Naruto, what if I wanted to live with you... would you allow it?" I asked, my courage slowly depleting. He just stares at me making me nervous
(No, this is too sudden, he don't like it...) I thought walking backward to hide behind Jiji
"Really?!" He suddenly shouts making me stop
"You want to move here-dattebayo?" He said jumping down the counter, looking at me excitedly.
"That's if you wanted me to..." I mutter fidgeting a little
"Wahh! I'd like to-dattebayo!" He said jumping at me
"e-ehh..." I said shoving him a little. He calmed down a little and look back at Jiji
"Really, Jiji?" He said his eyes pure of excitement. The Hokage looks at him for a second before chuckling.
"Seems like you both like it, what does an old man like me can do to crash such happiness" He said making me smile, He ruffle both our hair.
"Well, seems like I'm done here. I still need to go back to the Hokage, an old man like me still needed to do lots of paperwork" He said sweatdropping. We both nodded and chuckled
"I'm gonna send some Anbu to collect some of your things there in your old apartment to bring them here" He said making me nod. He was about to walk out the door, when he stopped and look at Naruto
"I almost forgot, this is your allowance, Naruto" He said putting the money on the counter, he give us a smile again and walk out the door.
"Wah! I'm really excited-dattebayo!" Naruto shouts jumping up and down around the room
(Well, that goes smoothly than I expected) I thought chuckling
"Yey! I'm finished now, let's go outside-dattebayo!" He said snapping me out of my thoughts. He is now wearing t-shirt and a short.
(Wow, that's fast. I didn't even notice)
I follow him outside and wait for him to lock the door.
"So you're gonna live with me, Akira-ttebayo" He said jumping up and down
"Hai,hai" I said sweatdropping
"Well you need to get used to this-dattebayo" He said now walking normally, giving me a smile
"Right" I said my brow twitching slightly. He look at me as his face lit up.
"Ohh, follow me, I know what to do" He said dragging me
(Wow, I didn't expect to always get dragged... better get used to it) I thought, smiling
He just drag me towards the village ignoring all the eyes looking at him. I didn't ignore it and glared back at the villagers.
(What's wrong with them, stupid...) I thought, frowning
After a few minutes of running, we came to a stop.
I look around seeing sunflowers surrounding us.
"Wow..." I said
"It's amazing right, you're the first person I'm able to bring here" He said fidgeting a little. I walk toward him and poke his cheek.
"Don't be sad, I'm not leaving anytime soon. We've got a lot of time to ourselves to have fun, now you have someone to bring with you to your favorite places" I said with a kind smile.
He looked at me and smile affectionately and nodded. He suddenly runs to the flowers, leaving me there.
"W-wait..." I said catching up to him.

"Aren't...you...hungry?..." I said laying on the grass, catching my breath. He looks at me and sit up
"Actually I am-dattebayo" He said as his stomach growled, making me chuckle.
"So what we're going to do next?" I said sitting up. He put his hand under his chin, thinking.
He look back at me "We should go to the lake again, if you want" he said scratching his neck
"Well, that's fine with me I still don't want to spend my money" I said standing up, I reach my hand to him to help him stand up.
"I could carry you if you want..." I said but he didn't respond and just jump on my back, making me stumble.
"yoshi! Let's go-dattebayo!" He exclaims making me chuckle. I run and jump on the tree branch holding Naruto tightly. I sigh, my lips quivering a little.
(Man, I could get used to this...) I thought, a smile on my face.
Naruto wiggled his feet a little while chuckling, admiring the surrounding.
I stopped when we reached our destination. Naruto quickly came down and looked at me while his cheek was still a little red.
"Thank you , Akira" He said while looking down at the ground, playing with his finger.
I put my hand on his head "Naruto, that's nothing, you should get used to such things from now on" I told him with a smile. He looks at me and his lips quivering.
"oi! Don't cry" I said panicking
"I'm just not used to it when someone pays attention to me. And smiling at me , with kind eyes-dattebayo" He said his lips continuing to quiver, as he try not to cry.
"Don't worry Naruto, from now on, you will always have me" I said poking his cheeks playfully. He nodded his head and wipe the tear forming in the corner of his eyes.
"Now, come on we should start preparing our food" I said with a closed-eyed smile.
He nodded and look around, his smile is returning. I just look at him as he excitedly grabs the mushrooms on the ground.
(I finally have someone too, Naruto) I told myself, I looked to the side when I feel tears welling up in my eyes. I sighed to calm myself and help Naruto in gathering the sticks we will use for cooking.
-skip-
"itadakimasu!" We both said before starting to eat
"mhhmm" Naruto hums, eyes twinkling
"This is really good-dattebayo" He said taking another bite of the fish we caught.
I hum in agreement and just continue to eat
"Akira, when did you start calling the Hokage Jiji, I mean I always call the Hokage Jiji but I always heard a lot of people say that that's disrespectful-dattebayo" He said looking at me, curiosity clear in his eyes
"...Well..." I said, thinking about whether to tell him or not.
"I actually didn't come from Konoha, Naruto. Jiji said that some of their Anbu saw me in the forest alone... when I regain my consciousness he is the first one I saw" I said leaving out some details.
"I called him Jiji, Well he is old that's why that is the first thing that comes out of my mouth... He seems like he doesn't mind it, so sometimes I called like that." I said shrugging.
"So that's why you don't have a last name-dattebayo?" He asked making me nod
"Mhmm, they tried to do a DNA, but it's no use." I said taking a bite from the fish.
(I still don't remember anything...) I thought sweatdropping. Suddenly a rustle of the leaves gets our attention. We turn to look at who is it
"Jiji?" Naruto said tilting his head to the side
"ohh, you both are here, I have been finding you" He said sitting on the other log.
"Why?" I ask confused.
"The Anbu already brought all your things to Naruto. You just have to fix your things later." He said
"I see, that's cool, Thank you..." I said with a smile. He looked at the fish cooking, his stomach growling making us all laugh
"Jiji, here" Naruto said grabbing the fish stick and giving it to him. He grabs the fish and tastes it.
"mhm, this is good, as always Naruto" He said making Naruto laugh
(So he's really always go here) I thought as I continue to eat.
*After a few minutes of eating and chattering
"Well, it's getting dark you should both go home" He said standing up
"I still need to return to the Hokage office and sign up some papers." He said making us nod. He ruffled both our hair and leaves with a smile.
"We should clean up" I said standing up. Naruto hums as he takes the last bite of the mushroom his eating.
-skip-
We were now walking on the street of Konoha
"Damn, what time is it?" I mutter, looking around and seeing only a few people. Some are walking and some are drinking.
"Tch..." I said, seeing them take a glance at us, and their stare changes when they see Naruto. I hold Naruto's hand and walk more faster, making him confused
"It's okay, it's just really dark, not safe for us..." I whisper, looking around.
(Naruto's apartment is still far away) I thought, taking glances at my surrounding
A bottle shatter in front of us, making us stop. Naruto's hand suddenly slips away from me, making my heart skip.
"Naruto..." I whisper but stand still, feeling a sharp object on my cheek
"Oi, brat! You demon!" I heard someone said, getting my attention. I quickly look in their direction seeing Naruto laying on the ground, looking horrified at the man in front of him. "Seems like you are the demon's friend now, you look cute though..." The man behind me said slurry.
"Tch..." My gaze is still locked on Naruto. When the man in front of him tries to grab Naruto, My body just moves on its own
"cute your face!" I said elbowing him and using the shattered glass to stab his thigh, making him fall to the ground
"You brat!" He said but falls down again when I kick his middle
(You disgust me!) I quickly run towards Naruto holding a shattered piece of glass.
"don't you know what you did, brat?!" The man said grabbing onto Naruto's shirt.
"tell yourself that" I said jumping on his back and stabbing his arm with no hesitation, making him loose his hold onto Naruto. I swing my body in front of him, my hands on his shoulder, and kick his middle but I used more force this time. He kneel, holding into his middle and looked at me angrily.
"Brat you-" I punch him on the face making him lie on the ground
"Naruto, on my back!" I quickly said, when I see the other guy walking towards us limping.
Naruto quickly follow and jump on my back, holding onto me tightly
"Brat I will get you!" The man said as I run away from them
(Damn it, my hand hurt...) I look back and see them still following
"fast..." I whispered, running faster. I turn to the left and jump on top of a stall. I jump again and hold my hand on a window.
(If I could just jump higher and stick my feet on the wall like a shinobi...) I thought, annoyed. I look down and see the drunk guys, turning on the left, still following us.
I took a deep breath and use all my force to push us up. I repeat the same action until where on top of a house.
Naruto quickly jump down. I fall onto my knees, catching my breath. Naruto kneel in front of me concerned.
"Akira, are you okay? you have a wound..." He said looking at my cheek. I wipe my cheek and see blood
(I didn't even notice it...) I look back at Naruto and sit on the concrete.
I smiled at him "I'm okay, I should be the one asking you are you okay?" I ask, observing him, looking for any bruises or wound.
He just stare at me and look at the ground. "I'm sorry Akira, w-we shouldn't be friends, I'll get you hurt..." He said tears falling from his eyes
"What, No! Naruto, it's okay." I said reaching my hand to wipe the tears falling from his eyes
"But, I get you hurt. They always look at me like that. No one wants to talk to me... They always say that I'm a demon. You're not safe if you get too close to me-dattebayo" He said more tears falling from his eyes.
"Naruto..." I called his name, making him look at me
"We're best friends, this kind of things is nothing to me. I will not leave you just because of this. It may become a trouble for the both of us but it's okay, you know, I'm pretty strong myself. This is just a piece of cake" I said jokingly but his tears just keep falling.
"Listen, Naruto. Like I told you, I would never leave your side and I'll protect you from who the hell it may be" I said with determination.
"You told me earlier you want to be Hokage right?" I said making him nod as he wipe the tears on his eyes and cheek.
"I'll be you're shadow Naruto, I will not let you die till you become Hokage, you know. That's why I promise you I'll be always here and I'll protect you, till my last breath. Okay?" I said with a closed-eye smile and gave him a thumbs-up. I open my eyes when I didn't hear a response. As soon as I open my eyes, he jumps at me making me lie on the ground. He hugged me very tightly that I can't almost breathe. I feel my t-shirt becomes wet, so I take a side glance at him, seeing him crying.
"Naruto?" I said trying to comfort him
He sniffles, before speaking "I'm really happy. I didn't have anyone until you came well beside Jiji-ttebayo" He said chuckling and making me smile. I rest my chin on his shoulder returning the hug. I hum indicating for him to continue
"You're the only person who doesn't look at me badly. It's only now that I feel the feeling of someone who cares about me, the feeling of having a family, the feeling of having someone, Akira. I promise even if I'm not that strong I will try my best to protect you too-dattebayo." He said hugging me tightly. I cough feeling like my breath got squeezed out of my lungs
"N-naruto...too... tight" I said, slightly hitting his back. He quickly let go of me and sit up.
"I'm sorry..." He said scratching his head
"Well, I just need to get used to it" I said shrugging. I sigh and look at the moon. I sat up and clean the dirt on my clothes. He also stands up, wiping the tears on his face.
"We should go home, it's already too late" I said sighing again
"But how are we going to go down here-dattebayo?" He said looking down the now empty street
(I'm glad they are not waiting for us...got tired, maybe) I look back at Naruto
"Well, we're not going down, we're just gonna jump on top of this houses" I said looking at the roofs
"Huh?" He said dumbfounded
"Naruto, I told you I'm pretty capable myself. Just watch" I said winking at him.
"What if you don't reach the other end-dattebayo?" He said worried looking down again at the ground
"You have a little trust in me, I'm hurt" I said frowning
"Come on, just got on my back" I said, turning my back at him. He hesitated for a few seconds, before jumping on my back.
"Okay here we go"
