The village was one of the larger farming lands of The Land of Fire the fields spanning miles around. All needing a large amount of manpower to maintain and the village proper was small with only a few shops surrounding the main square. A large manor sat at the other end of the square with the field of wine grapes encircling the back half of the square.
The vineyard was one of the most profitable for the territory it's wine was a favorite among many clans around the different countries. The noticeable lack of diminished number of slaves working the fields across the village was a worry with harvest season fast approaching.
Naruto's approach of the manor gat is halted by a balding potbellied man "you are the nin that The Hokage has sent yes?" the weasel face man asked "I am. And your The leader of this village." Naruto says the man nods
"If you follow me I can go over what scouts I sent out have found." The village leader the pair walk through the gate and up to the manor. They end up in the leader's office the desk covered in maps and reports.
"The group of rouges seems to have made their base in a valley close by in the forest. A small river runs through it. The river feeds into one of the larger rives that pass through the land of waves. It further down connects to the ocean." The leader explains pointing to the location on the map.
Naruto nods and motions for him to continue. "The scouts saw them take a group of the stolen slaves down the river they believe that they are being taken and sold in other nation's markets or in private sales." the leader pauses taking a breath before continuing.
"They seem to be moving the women and younger slaves first there are only a handful left at their camp but the bulk of our workforce are the male slaves that are still present in their camp. They are the ones we are most concerned with getting back if we are to finish harvests on time." The leader finishes.
"Did you scouts report on how many rouge nin and their potential ranks?" Naruto asks " yes there appear to be seven that stay in the camp while another 3 handle transport to the larger river. Of the ten total eight are known, low threat bandits. However, Itachi Uchiha and Neji Hyuga are in charge of the group." The leader answers
"The biggest threat is the Uchiha ill have to scout the area myself to see if I can trap the area. Once I have a better idea of the layout I will return and lead you guards to collect the slaves. My goal is to capture the bandits and send Itachi and Neji scattering so I can engage them without risking the remaining slaves." Naruto explains
"I will inform the guards to be ready for your return." The leader says " good I will be heading out to check the area. oh, send word to the Hokage for a Chuunin team to be sent out to aid in transporting the rouges back to Konohagakure. " Naruto says before leaving the manor heading toward the indicated location.
The trip to the camp was short, the forest was dense around the opening to the valley. Naruto settles into the heavy underbrush. "Boos a Ninja in Anbu gear was spotted in the village he was talking to the village leader. They are wearing a fox mask." One of the bandits says obviously out of breath.
"This is not good we still have a number of slaves to move who knows when they will move to attack." Neji says "there is only one Anbu that wears a fox mask and I agree it is not good. It seems Tusnade sent the jinchuuriki to deal with us. The next transport won't be back till nightfall. get the last of the women and children ready to move. We all will be leaving on the next transport. Let's hope to leave the rest of the slaves will by us time to get to the others." Itachi says giving orders to the rest of the group.
Naruto carefully makes his way to the outskirts of the village where a group of the village guards is waiting. "Head to the bandit camp at nightfall. The Bandits are aware of my presence in the village they are planning to abandon their camp when their next transport returns. They are leaving all the slaves they can not fit behind in hopes of slowing me down." Naruto informs the guards
"Sir what will you do them?" one of the guards asks "there is only one path they can take to get to the main river I plan to stop them before they reach that point. All you need to do is to go in and grab the slaves they leave behind ill handle the rest." Naruto says before heading along the edge of the forest in the direction of where the rivers meet.
Once out of sight he summons and few toads to aid in setting out seals to set the trap a mile in from there the rivers join to one. Naruto settles down to wait once all the seals are in place and the Kuni are prepped with wire to set up a barrier once the transport passes by.
It was close to sunset before the transport passed by. Once it was a distance away Naruto sends the Kuni across the river lodging them into trees and rocks on the other river bank. An hour past nightfall the transport once more comes into sight neither Neji nor Itachi is on the beck of the ship.
Using Dragon Fire Technique lights the wire attached to the Kuni on fire. At the same moment, explosive seals activate on trees just a few feet past the wire blockade. The ship unable to stop quickly runs into the burning wires.
The wooden hull quickly catches on fire. A few of the bandits jump overboard naruto jumps onto the deck while summoning clones to grab and detain the fleeing bandits on the bank of the river. Neji is first upon the deck of the boat Naruto grabs one of his arms before he can react. the cloak of Demonic chakra during the brunette's arm. Neji lets out a startled cry of pain and attempts to twist around and strike Naruto only to have his other arm pinned and bound.
Another clone quickly grabs him and leaps from the ship and further restraints Neji by binding his legs. Naruto quickly dodges Itachi's attack landing close to the front of the boat. "Do you really want to fight me Itachi I am sure you heard Orochimaru got hold of your brother," Naruto says as he deflects and Kuni healing for his head.
The Uchiha still for a moment "I could not pass up the chance to have Sasuke for myself. I can very easily make his life miserable if you chose to keep this fight going. After all, you know you won't win you help trained me, and a lot has changed since you turned against the village." Naruto says slowly approaching the older male.
"Just give up and behave or fight get dragged back and get to watch me punish your dear little brother," Naruto says while slowly forming a beast bomb behind his back. "I mean you have nothing to lose if you try to get away but your brother does." The blonde adds Itachi closes his eyes and drops to his knees letting the Kuni fall from his hand.
Two shadow clones appear behind him binding him and blindfolding him for good measure. "You could never lie that is the only reason I am surrendering," Itachi says resigned to his fate. "True. All alright, boys grab any of the slaves that are still living below deck, and let's head back to the village." Naruto says to his clones who eagerly comply.
