Jessica's Point of View

I took a deep breath to prepare myself before knocking on the door to Mr. Ansem's study. "You may enter," Mr. Ansem said from the other side of the door. I opened it and walked inside. "Jessica? What is it that you need?"

I didn't want to tell him that I was spying on Xehanort, so I blurted out the first excuse that came to mind. "I was wondering if maybe I could go visit someone I know who's in another world. There's someone who's um... sick. Ill, in fact," I lied.

"Jessica, I would love to say yes, but the answer is no. At least until you stop lying to me. Tell me the truth, then we'll talk about going to other worlds. Is that all?" He asked.

He saw right through me, so I knew that I couldn't lie my way through it. "N-no. Nothing else. Sorry to bother you," I replied before heading back to my room.

"How did it go?" Luna wondered.

"Not well. Mr. Ansem said that I couldn't go to another world until I stopped lying to him, but if I stop lying to him, then he might do something rash like lock Xehanort up, and then that would defeat the purpose of spying on him, and he would still escape somehow. I've decided that I'm going to go to Master Yen Sid's tower in secret," I declared.

"That is likely the best course of action, for now, considering the circumstances, but don't make it a habit to disobey the person who's taking care of you," Luna advised. I nodded.

As soon as bedtime came, I made preparations to depart. I gathered all the things that I took with me on my last trip just in case. I summoned my glider and jumped out my window when I was ready.

When I entered Master Yen Sid's tower and went to his desk, only Master Yen Sid was there. "Master Yen Sid, I've come back with what information on Xehanort. He seems to have lost his memory, and yet..." I trailed off, unsure if I was able to continue.

"And yet what?" Master Yen Sid urged.

"Well, I had introduced myself as Jessica, but at the end of our conversation, he whispered, Jess," I explained.

"That was what Terra called you, was it not?" Master Yen Sid questioned.

"Yes, sir," I answered.

"While this is an interesting piece of information, it proves nothing. It may be that the man is Terra and he had remembered his nickname for you, or it may be Xehanort trying to convince you that he is Terra. Regardless, we must proceed with caution. Be careful," Master Yen Sid warned.

"That's not all. I have a few... complications. Mr. Ansem, the man who is taking care of me, seems to be able to see through any lies I have made in an effort to come here. I don't think I can tell him what I'm really doing, but I can't keep sneaking away to get information to you without getting caught," I mentioned.

Master Yen Sid thought it over for a few minutes. "Very well. I will send Mickey to Radiant Gardens more frequently. You may pass any information you gather along to him."

"Thank you. I should get back before anyone finds out that I left," I decided. I bowed before I left the tower.

When I climbed back into my room through the window, the light turned on. Mr. Ansem and Mr. Even were in my room. "Jessica, care to explain?" Mr. Ansem demanded. I was caught.

Uh oh. Cliffhanger. Things don't look so good for Jessica. What will happen next? You'll just have to wait and see.
