Note: So I'm going to update early since I really want to say thank you to all of the people reading this story. It really makes me happy and encourages me to continue writing this story.

Third Person's POV

"Hokage-sama you called for me?" Kakashi said as he calmly enter through the door of the Hokage office.

The Hokage looks at him with a kind smile. "Tomorrow will be the start of the 1st phase of the Chunin Exam. I think this is the time I told you more about her..." The Hokage said as he stand up looking out the window.

Kakashi became still. His heart beating fast in his chest with worry and uneasiness.

"You can take a sit, Kakashi" The Hokage said gesturing to the couch.

Kakashi took a deep breath and walk to the couch. What would he know?

"So I take that this will be a long story, huh..." Kakashi said trying to calm himself as he try to find the most comfortable position.

The Hokage glances at him and hums. "I will not beat around the bush here" The Hokage said making Kakashi nod as he clasp his hands together.

"You know that even if Akira was just a spy, to be convincing she still needed to take missions from Danzo." The Hokage started.

"First you need to know about the girl she met..."

*Flashback* age:8

Third Person's POV

Akira jumps on a nearby tree and throws kunai at the group of thugs. What makes it hard is that the thugs were former shinobis. They were just supposed to have a deal with them, but it seems like they have another agenda. Akira jumps again as she tries to dodge all the kunai that's being thrown at her.

"Damn it..." She said.

"You can run as you want, we're going to kill you." One of them shouts.

Akira takes a quick glance at them as she runs away from them. She needed to get the other Root member.

This didn't really going well, Danzo-sama only sent five members of the foundations. Tch...

"Miyagami!" Someone said making her turn to look at the two other root members approaching in her direction. The other one has a wound on his left side.

"Where are the other two?" Akira asks. The two looks at each other and shakes their head. Suddenly one of them stops. "Don't look back I will handle them. Make sure to bring the scroll back to Danzo-sama" The root member said. Akira nods with hesitancy and catches the scroll the member threw at her.

"Let's go" Akira said as they run faster.

They heard a clash of metals as the ground shook. She looks back seeing the root member block all the thugs. She sighs and looks forward again. This is what they needed to do.

They run and run away from the thugs. Not daring to look back anymore

"Let's hide here for now" Akira said at the root member, seeing him almost collapsing from running.

"I-I can't continue..." The root said as he kneel to the ground and puked blood

"What do you mean..." Akira said putting the scroll on the ground. She holds the Root member on the shoulder to balance him.

"Make sure you wouldn't get hit by them, they have poisons..." He said shoving her hand away.

"Run you needed to bring the scroll back to Danzo-sama" He said kicking her by the stomach slightly.

"Wait! maybe I can-" Akira said as she quickly stands up but the body suddenly explodes, making the ground shake slightly. She closes her eyes and bears herself from the impact.

She bites her lips out of frustration and gets the scroll. She turns her back from her member and runs. She is used to this kind of things, they were meant to die to protect the village at any cost.

Akira hides in a cave as she looks at the night sky. She is still far from Konoha. She looks at her hands and removes her gloves. She sighs as thoughts fill her mind.

Is this really what she is meant to do? She is still very incompetent, she can't save the other root members. All they think was for the mission to finish, they always have to do it in a brutal way. They needed to be always emotionless, they can't shed tears for their comrades.

She shakes her head. This is her choice, she needed to do this. It's better to learn things now than to learn things when it's already too late. She took a deep breath and readied herself. She needed to go back now. Danzo-sama is waiting for the scroll.

She was about to walk out of the cave but stops hearing something inside the cave.

"Who is there?" She said as she pulls out her tanto. Why didn't she sense someone here earlier?

"Kaa-san?..." The voice said. Akira waits for the person to show their face. Akira points her tanto when a girl comes out of the shadow.

Akira looks at the person, judging by her height and appearance the girl is older than her. The girl looks at her, as her body shakes.

"Please don't kill me!" The girl said as she falls to her knees, weakly.

Akira tilts her head as she put back her tanto.

"Who are you?" She said still alert. The girl looks at her lips quivering

"Kana! Please don't kill me. I-I just want to find my kaa-san and tou-san!" The girl said as she bowed.

Akira's shoulder drops. She approaches the girl carefully.

"What are you doing in this kind of place?" Akira said with a soft tone, crouching.

The girl looked at her, scared. "Don't worry I'm not gonna hurt you" Akira said smiling behind her mask.

Kana just looks at her, thinking whether she will going to trust the person in front of her. Her heart calms down, seeing the kind purple eyes looking at her. She knows that this person will not hurt her.

"I-I heard an explosion earlier... There were bodies scattered around the forest. I-I don't know what to do..." Kana said, voice slightly shaking.

"I-I want to go back to kaa-san and tou-san" Kana said tears threatening to fall from her eyes. She didn't want to come out of the cave.

Akira took a deep breath. It looks like she has to continue her travel back to Konoha tomorrow.

"Kana-san, do you want me to accompany you?" Akira said with a soft tone.

Kana perk up at that as she quickly nods. Akira chuckles making the girl blush.

"Come on, don't worry I'm gonna protect you" Akira said teasingly. She wanted to pinch herself, weirded out by her sudden behavior.

Kana stands up as they both walk out of the cave. Akira was still cautious of her surrounding, she can't risk being caught now by an enemy, especially she is with someone.

"I'm sorry. I just didn't know how to fight... despite the fact that I might be older than you" Kana said looking down at her.

Akira squints her eyes at that, making Kana get nervous.

"I'm sorry-" Kana said as her heart beat faster.

"How old are you?" Akira said tilting her head

"Err- ten?" Kana said with hesitancy. Akira looks at her and nodded. Akira suddenly walks in front of her. Making her confused.

"I will just carry you" Akira said as she crouched. They will take longer if they just gonna walk especially since it's really dark now.

"But-" Kana said but the child in front of her gave her a look that she will not take a no for an answer. She quickly leans on the child's body, she is beyond embarrassed.

Akira jumps as the girl squeal, Kana is really light for her age.

"Just tell me the directions" Akira said making the girl nod as a blush cover her cheeks.

"Kana-san if you don't mind me asking why are you in the forest?" Akira said as she jump from tree to tree.

"We live here. All our resources come from the forest. We just lived in a small hut. My kaa-san is sick but we didn't have any money so I decide to at least find some herbs but then I hear the explosion. I-I got scared so..." Kana said looking at the trees. She feels comfortable in the child's presence.

"Umm... If you don't mind me asking. What's your name, your age, where did you come from?" Kana said tilting her head.

Akira's brows twitch at that. "I can't tell you my name. My age 8. I'm from Konoha" She said simply.

"I see... I will just call you purpley-chan" Kana said making Akira slip on a branch of the tree.

"What kind of nickname is that? Besides why give me a nickname if we'll not going to see each other again" Akira said brow twitching, balancing herself again.

Kana chuckles at that. "Well you're all purple even your hair, well it's really not purple but. The nickname's cute though. I'm sure we're gonna see each other again, I feel it in my guts" Kana said ruffling her hair.

Akira's brows twitches. She wanted to shove the hand but she can't, not with her arms supporting her. She just sighs defeatedly. What did she do wrong? Purpley-chan, what the hell?

After a few minutes, Kana suddenly speak.

"We're here, I'm glad" Kana said as she quickly jump down off the child's back.

"Then I should leave." Akira said. This place was just near the Konoha she could travel back now.

She was about to jump when a hand grab her, making her stop.

"Wait, tou-san!" Kana said

Akira got slammed to the ground her throat was being squeezed. Luckily she was fast enough to pull out her tanto which she pointed to the man's throat.

"What did you do to Kana, huh, Konoha shinobi!" The man said squeezing her throat more.

"Tou-san, wait!" Kana said shoving her tou-san away from the child.

Akira stands up as she holds onto her neck and coughs.

"Calm down, tou-san, she is the one who brought me here." Kana said comforting the child.

The man looked at his daughter for any wounds. He looks back again at the shinobi, he knows what village that mask comes from. He tried to calm himself before approaching the shinobi.

"I'm sorry... I heard explosions earlier. I thought you hurt my daughter. Are you okay?" The man said crouching to the shinobi's level.

Akira backs away. There's something wrong there.

"nhn" She said nodding.

"I'm sorry but I really needed to leave" Akira said very quickly.

"Purpley-chan, come back here if you have time" Kana said giving her a quick hug. Her tou-san just observes the Shinobi, a smirk making its way to his lips.

Akira catches a glimpse of what is inside the hut. A young lady was peacefully sleeping, her body is really pale as if she is dead. But it confuses her how the hut was built.

"hmm" Akira said nodding to Kana as she disappeared. She knows she will come back here.

Kana stare at the child as she disappears. She hopes to see the shinobi again. Konoha, huh..., she thought a bitter smile on her lips.

*End of Flashback*

Third Person's POV

"Akira comes back to that place. Of course, Akira told me about that place, and she reported it to me. At first, she comes back there because she said she wants to help them. She said she needed to do something, to know something... She never told me what is it. I never questioned it, I trust her that she will not endanger our village" The Hokage said cross arms.

"She became friends with the girl. She became close to the family. She said they were caring, that it was what she imagine a family always look like. A very lovely one..." The Hokage said with a smile. At that time he feels relief that Akira isn't as cold as she may used to look.

"Unfortunately... as time passed by, Akira needed to come back there for a different reason... One time that girl come here to Konoha it wasn't to find Akira but to infiltrate the village. She got caught but unfortunately, she escaped. She is a very skilled person" The Hokage said with a sigh.

"And then there, in that one mission..."

*Flashback* age:10

Third Person's POV

"Akira I heard that, you've been seeing someone out of the village?" Danzo said with an edge in his voice.

"Danzo-sama..." Akira said startled, head down.

"This girl? Isn't she is the one?" Danzo said throwing a picture in front of Akira.

Akira looks at the photo in shock. How did they know?

"I want you to infiltrate that hut you always go. There were a lot of people in Konoha who had been missing. The villagers are becoming alert of it. We needed to prevent it from becoming worse. That hut is supposed to have a secret passage underground. I have already sent other foundation members there, unfortunately, they all didn't come back, just a scroll with Infos. But since you already know them, it will be easy for you isn't it?" Danzo said sternly.

"Danzo-sama, I didn't know-" Akira quickly shut her mouth, when Danzo stand-up.

"Akira I have been watching you... Did you know who are they targeting?" Danzo said making Akira look up at him.

"They've been targeting the Kyuubi holder, didn't you tell me that you wanted to protect him, then follow what I'm saying to you" Danzo said with a smirk, seeing the change in Akira's eyes.

"Hai, Danzo-sama" Akira said still with a little hesitancy. They would not do that... They were different from what Danzo described them... she will make sure of it...But did she choose to ignore the signs before?...

Akira kneeled in front of Danzo, heart pounding. A scroll of all she saw was there.

"How did it go?" Danzo said, a smirk on his face. This is going really well than he intended to do.

"It's true, Danzo-sama. They are planning on attacking the village, they are almost done with their plan" Akira said as she give the scroll to Danzo with shaky hands. The only thing they were missing was Naruto's chakra.

"Very well, Akira" Danzo said with a smirk.

"Then I have the perfect mission for you..." Danzo said as he stand up

Akira releases a shaky breath. She... she has to do whatever it is, for the village and the safety of greater people.

Akira stood by the tree she always goes to when she is here in this place. Her heart was beating in her chest really loud.

Other foundation members are on her side waiting for a signal. Kuso...

She takes a deep breath and put her mask down. There is no going back now.

"Now" Akira whispered shouts as they all disappear.

There was an explosion startling the people underground.

"We've been attack!" A man said as he hide the other samples. All the other people underground ready themselves.

Kana look above, a sad smile placing on her lips. She's here... she grabbed her weapons and sighed.

Her tou-san looks at her and gave her a nod.

Akira readied her tanto as an enemy appear. She jumps from them and slashes their throat. She quickly runs forward again.

She has a goal. That family, she will be the one who needed to kill them. Is that truly what she wants to do?

She slashes all the throats of the people going in her way. She almost falls when her knees became weak sensing their Chakra in a place they showed her. The place they said they're trying to protect, a place they made themselves. A place they showed her because they think she's part of their family now.

Akira stops seeing only one person, blood scattered on the ground. She looks up to the person holding a sword with fresh blood.

"Kana-san..." Akira whispered.

"We've been waiting for you. I already clean the other so there will be no hindrances." Kana said smiling at her.

Akira stares at all the people on the ground. A presence appears behind her making her swing her tanto.

"You're really good at this" The man said.

"Tou-san you're so lame. Don't make it hard for her." Kana said still not moving from her position earlier.

"You know that you can defeat me right" Akira said to the man, her eyes full of hesitancy.

The man smirks at her. "This is your chance" Akira continued still stopping the man's sword with her tanto.

"I don't think so, brat..." The man said when he suddenly let go of his sword as her tanto sliced his neck. Akira stood there shocked. Why would he do that?

Akira looked at the man on the ground. His blood pouring from his neck. She crouched biting her lip.

"Wait..." She said. Her voice became shaky.

"Brat... kill us. We've killed so many people already. This, this is what should happen to us. Besides, I will not be able to live long" The man said chuckling a little. He looks at the purple eyes looking at him. She is the reason they didn't continue their plan, they realize that not all Konoha shinobi are heartless. He asks so many times for help to save his family but... it falls on deaf ears, just because they didn't have enough money. She is the only one who decided to help them, and his wife's life becomes longer. His wife's wish was to abandon the plan, she said, she knows that the person behind all of this was just playing with them.

The man holds Akira's hand "You know, despite the fact that I just met you. You are kind and sweet, you always remind me of my youngest daughter..." The man said making Akira freeze on her spot.

"Ah, you really remind me of her..." The man said touching her mask. An affectionate look in his eyes.

Akira holds the man's hands.

"Just wait, I can still bring you to Konoha. There you can three live. I will ask the Hokage to-" Akira ranted as the man's eyes slowly close.

"Please..." Akira pleaded. But the man just chuckles as his hand falls limply.

Kana look at the scene. She really didn't intend to fight her. She can't, she didn't want to.

She slowly walks towards them. A tear falling down her eyes. She crouches beside her closing his tou-san eyes, a small smile on his lips. Her tou-san was infected, he has the disease. It can't be healed. They became a fool, they thought that person is really gonna help them. They gathered people just like what 'he' wanted. They killed many people for 'him', but 'he' didn't do anything. Orochimaru had fooled them.

Akira looked at the person beside her. Kana was staring at her tou-san's body with sorrow.

Suddenly Kana looked at her with a smile.

"Kana-san you should run, I... you can still live with your kaa-san." Akira said voice shaky.

Kana looked at her purple eyes. She holds her cheeks shaking her head. "My kaa-san died last week... I don't have anyone anymore"

"W-What?" Akira said a tear falling from her eyes.

"Please just end my pain... Akira" Kana said a small smile on her lips.

Akira stares at her in shock. How did she know her name?

Kana just smiles at her. She discovered her name when she infiltrates Konoha. She knows that it was her. There she sees the yellow-haired kid, the Kyuubi holder with her. She looks really happy with the boy.

There she also sees the villagers laughing. Seeing all of the people there happy, makes her hurt clench, in disgust. But Akira was there, she have people there, and she didn't want her to lose all those precious people because of them.

She didn't want her to experience the same pain. She is part of their family. She knows this might cause her pain but... it needed to be done, after what they did.

"You should probably start using a henge... you know" Kana said touching her hair, a smile on her lips.

Akira's brows knitted a tear forming again in her eyes. Kana-san...

"Akira please..." Kana said removing the mask.

Akira didn't do anything. Her heart is being crushed, she doesn't know what to do.

Kana holds her cheeks wiping the tears.

"They will be here soon, I want you to kill me, Akira" Kana said.

"This would be my last wish, Purpley-chan..." Kana said ruffling her hair a little. Akira bites her lip as it quivered again.

Akira went to pick up her tanto. Her hand was shaking. She smiles at Kana as tears continue to fall from her eyes.

Kana returns the smile. With this, she hopes that the people they kill will forgive them.

Akira stands up and positions the tanto on Kana's neck. She raised her tanto as she closes her eyes and slash her neck. She heard the collapsing of a body. She falls to her knees as she stares at the two bodies, their blood was soaking her cloth.

Even after all these years, she's still weak. She still can't protect the people she always wants to protect. She's still the same, nothing has changed, she's useless and weak. She thought she was ready for this. But who is she kidding?

She chuckles as tears flow from her eyes again.

Akira looks up hearing a clapping sound and a sadistic chuckle.

"What a scene... you amaze me..." The person said as Akira just stares at him.

"Danzo was right, your chakra is really different. Especially when you've become thorn into pieces. Poor child" The person said licking his lips

The person looks at the body scattered around them and stops at the two bodies near Akira "They let emotions take over them... I would have a great gift for them..." He said as he avert his eyes to Akira.

Akira just looks at him, as if she lost her sanity. Akira let the person walk to her. She feels empty she didn't want to fight anymore.

A person flashes in her mind, 'Promise me you're always be there?'

She might not have the energy to fight but she still needs to come back to Konoha alive, she promised him that she will be there for him.

"Orochimaru..." Akira said as she quickly leaps away from him.

*End of Flashback*

Third Person's POV

"After that mission, she rapidly changes. She would always take mission after mission as if she is living just because of it" The Hokage said as he leans in his chair.

"The only thing that I can do at that time was to pull her out of the Anbu and seal her memory." The Hokage said looking at Kakashi. He can literally see the anger in his eyes. He really cares for her... To listen and show that anger in front of him.

Kakashi stares at his hands, clenching them tightly.

"Hokage-sama is that all? I feel like there's still more..." Kakashi stated with frustration.

The Hokage sighed, he needed to tell all of it to Kakashi. "There's a 1-month gap after the mission and when I sealed her memory. When she encountered Orochimaru at that place he manage to put a curse mark on her-"

Kakashi suddenly stands making the Hokage stop. Kakashi wanted to go to Akira and see it for himself.

"Kakashi, I put a seal on the curse mark, so anyone wouldn't see it. It seems like when I remove her memory the curse didn't respond again" The Hokage said making Kakashi look at him.

Kakashi sighs and went to sit again still frustrated.

There was a silence between them.

"Is that all Hokage-sama?" Kakashi asks. He wanted to go to Akira's apartment right now. He wanted to hold her...

The Hokage looks at him as if he's thinking of something.

"That's all Kakashi," He said, as soon as he said that Kakashi disappeared without saying anything.

The Hokage leans on his chair and massages his temple.

"Then they met again and at that time the Anbu saved Akira from Orochimaru after being an experiment for almost a week..." The Hokage whispered as he pulls a file from his drawer. Akira's result of her health after the experiment and after he sealed her memory. It was only selective memories, only the time she is doing missions. She did manage to escape the first time but after the second encounter with Orochimaru, no one was with her. It was two weeks after she was brought here in Konoha that they fake her death, in that way no one will know that she is from the Anbu or the Foundation, he also removes the tattoo on her arm. It's a painful procedure...

He sighs remembering, how Naruto would tell him stories about Akira, about how she changed, Naruto felt like Akira is distancing herself from him, she always looks at him as if she is trying to solve a problem. Naruto told him that Akira always looks at him as if she is afraid not of him but afraid of something, something he didn't understand, and he always sees that regret in her eyes
