"And you better not disappoint me!" Cell glared after demanding Goku goes Super Saiyan 3.
Goku looked confused for a moment at Cell, he hadn't even seen Cell since the day he died but he was asking something like that? Goku's face gave away his confusion at Cells demand. Cell stood up straight, looking visibly angry.
"Don't tell me you have no idea what I'm talking about!" He yelled angrily.
"Huh? Oh, yeah I do. Just surprised you know about it. Must have sensed it in the hell. Oh well, there's goes the surprise. Think you can give me a moment?"
Cell glanced over at Buu easily handling the other two he didn't catch the name of. Looking back at Goku, he crossed his arms looking a bit calmer.
"Cell, what are you doing? Kill him!" Babadi demanded.
"Shut up! You got what you wanted, now let me have my fun!" Cell snapped back at him.
This threw Babadi off, how was he constantly able to defy him in brief moments? Still, he was right. He got Buu, who was easily handling the other two. And Cell did seem rather confident in himself towards this man.
"Cell, I don't know how you know about Super Saiyan 3, but I'm just glad I finally have a chance to give it a good go! Just give me a few minutes and I'll give you a challenge!" Goku smirked and started immediately charging his ki.
Babadi didn't know what was going on, he was confused as the person in orange started screaming, as his ki was violently sparking around him. Was this a trick? He knew Cell could sense their energy, maybe he should make him teach him once they are finished killing these three. Assuming they could kill people already dead.
Cell watched as the area around them was being effected, the foliage below was being blown down, even some mountains were cracking and falling apart. An impressive feat to most, but…
"You have to be kidding me." Cell said annoyed.
Buu's attention was caught on this, and started laughing happily, recognizing this as he saw Goku's hair slowly start growing longer. Buu remembered having so much fun with that girl earlier who did the same. But Piccon quickly got his attention again with a kick to the face.
Videl quickly ran out of the room as she was feeling this strong ki. She didn't know who's this was and her panic thought it was another threat! She quickly got to everyone else who seemed excited at this, did they know this ki?
"Oh man, it really is him! But how?" Krillin sounded both excited and confused.
Chi Chi was also a bit confused. She could feel the tremors the lookout was experiencing, but beyond that she didn't have any idea what was going on! Neither did Goten or Trunks.
"Who ever this is, they feel pretty strong!" Trunks commented.
"But is it enough?" Piccolo commented a bit unsure.
"Piccolo! What's going on? This energy? Who is that?"Videl asked.
"I don't know how, but it seems Goku is on Earth, as well as two others I don't recognize." Piccolo answered.
Videl immediately recognized that name, as Chi Chi looked like she was hit in the chest hard! Goku was back? But how? Piccolo told her he wasn't allowed back because of Gohana?
"Does that mean we're saved?" Chi Chi asked hopefully.
Looking around everyone wasn't sure how to answer that. They were happy Goku was back, and that gave them hope alone. But still.
Cell watched as Goku finished transformation, he noticed the same look on his face as Gohana, though maybe more angular. Still, he was glad to at least see this wasn't specific to Gohana's rage boosts.
"Sorry it took so long. I haven't had practice too much in combat with this. I guess you already know I call this Super Saoyan 3." Goku confidently said.
"Is that it?" Cell asked him annoyed.
This threw Goku off, and he blinked in confusion. Still he didn't let it get to him that much.
"Let's not waste any more time Cell." Goku said and immediately charged at Cell.
Without wasting a moment, Cell brought his ki to match Goku's before he blocked the kick. His aura flaring around him now, Goku looking impressed at how fast Cell powered up, and smirked. Goku used the momentum to of his kick to push into Cells forearm to twist around, bring his body closer to him as he threw a punch at Cell.
Cell was easily able to dodge it as he slammed his fist into Goku's stomach. Goku was caught off guard from the speed and power, but quickly recovered and threw a punch of his own. It hit the mark, and both started in a flurry of attacks at one another.
The fight between Buu and the others was momentarily on pause. Buu was just laughing and clapping as he watched. But Piccon and Olibu watched in utter shock. They knew Goku was the strongest in the afterword, but they had never seen a fight like this! He had this much power? But Cell was matching him blow for blow! And this Buu was supposed to be even more dangerous according to King Yema?
Goku grabbed Cell's forearm as he dodged a punch, using Cell's momentum to slam his back with his knee. Cell screamed in pain before teleporting away to dodge Goku trying to slam him to the ground.
"Glad to see you got a lot stronger. " Cell smirked.
"What can I say, I have all the time to train." Goku smirked, taking the complement.
"But I must say, if you are hiding more power you might want to start using it!" Cell screamed as his ki skyrocketed way beyond what Goku was currently using.
Goku was in surprise not only with how fast hi ki was rising, but even more so by how much! How much power did Cell have!
Cell immediately appeared behind Goku and slammed him down towards the ground. Hitting hard and leaving a giant crater, Goku looked up at Cell as he kept powering up even more! Cell teleported back down in front of Goku and scowled.
"You seemed surprised, why? You should be able to handle this? You've done nothing but training for seven years, surely you can do better than that?" Cell seemed annoyed.
Goku spiked his energy up and threw a kick at Cell, but Cell was able to push his kick to the side and slammed his own shin into Goku's stomach, sending him flying.
Goku steadied himself in the air, catching his breath from getting it knocked out of him with that kick. King Yema did warn them Cell was stronger. But this much stronger? His ki was nowhere even close to this!
Cell casually flew up towards Goku, and he looked unamused.
"So, this is a disappointment."
"Hey, don't count me out just yet! You never know, I may get the better of you." Goku confidently returned to his stance.
Cell moved before Goku could react and slammed his fist into his stomach, Goku doubling over in pain. He could barely even keep up with Cell!
"What a fucking waste!" He threw Goku farther into the air.
Goku spun around to shoot a Kamehameha at Cell , but he was already at him, fist cocked back!
"Even Vegeta put up a better fight than you are!" he slammed Goku in the face, Goku spinning as he flung back.
Buu was getting eager and quickly flew over to Cell, who was even more annoyed he showed up.
"Hey, Buu now play?" he asked Cell, thinking he looked more fun than his fight.
"Do whatever you want." Cell flew back to Babadi.
Goku watched as Cell flew off , and he saw Majin Buu now ready to fight.
He didn't feel the same type of ki from Buu. It didn't seem malicious like Cell. Then again, Cell was angry at him. But this guy was stronger than Cell, and Cell was somehow above him? Still , Goku was excited to try.
"You play with Buu now! Just like her!" he said and looked excited.
"Huh? Her?" Goku seemed confused.
"Yeah, big funny hair like her. She play with Buu! Buu want to have fun! Will you play with Buu?"
"Play? If you mean fight then sure!"
Goku felt they needed to by just a bit more time. Maybe a few minutes at most. Though at the moment it didn't seem like they were interested in following Bulma and that little girl. He could tell they were heading to the lookout, but they weren't quiet there yet. He would be happy to see everyone soon!
Buu wouldn't stop smiling as Goku waited for him to start attacking. He didn't know what made him so dangerous that even worried Yema, but he knew to be careful.
"Well, you gonna come at me?" Goku finally spoke.
Buu took the invitation and wasted no time in quickly speeding towards Goku. He was a bit thrown off by how fast Buu was at first, but was able to catch him. Buu just kept pushing forward, as Goku was slowly going backwards before kicking Buu up into the air.
Goku got a Kamehameha wave ready, as Buu saw this and threw his hands above his head laughing. Goku quickly shot off his attack, as Buu countered with his own. The two beams clashed in the air equal in power. Goku without warning pushed his ki even higher, not wanting to risk the Earth below him.
His beam quickly overtook Buu's, and he wasn't sure what to do about it. The Kamehameha hit him head on, as Buu's beam quickly vanished. Goku stopped his attack and looked as Buu was floating there, minus his chest and head. Was that it? King Yema was worried about this? Goku was more surprised than anything.
"Alright Goku, you did it!" Olibu celebrated.
Goku wasn't so sure though. He watched as the body was still floating there, and then it hit him immediately.
"So you can regenerate?" he guessed since the body wasn't falling.
Buu's body started twitching a bit as what was missing suddenly reappeared as if nothing happened. But Goku quickly realized something else. When he battled Cell all those years ago, whenever he regenerated, his ki would slightly reduce. But even after that attack, and regenerating, his ki was the exact same! Shouldn't it have been reduced even a little?
"That fun!" Buu started laughing.
Buu just smiled and flew at Goku at high speed. Goku got ready to try counter attacking but was surprised when Buu suddenly stopped in front of him.
"Can we keep playing? Funny girl and guy go missing and Buu bored."
'Wait, is he talking about Vegeta? And Gohana?' Goku thought.
"Buu stop playing around and finish him!"
"But Buu having fun!" Buu shouted back.
"Don't you dare talk back to me you bloated pink idiot! I am your master, and you will do as I say!"
Buu looked very annoyed now, and it was clear to Goku. Buu turned back to Goku, and then looked a bit more calmer.
"Hey, we can still play?" he asked.
Goku was so surprised. Unlike every other threat they've fought, Goku didn't really feel the malice! And with how he was acting, he seemed more like….a child?
"Yeah, we can play, but…" Goku relaxed his stance a bit.
"Why do you listen to him? It's obvious you're a lot stronger." Goku asked.
Buu suddenly was in deep thought, why did he listen? Babadi just tries to ruin his fun most of the time, and Buu has barely been able to do what he wanted.
"Its because he is my servant and will do as he is told!" Babadi shouted, neither Buu nor Goku realizing they were somewhat close.
Buu looked annoyed again, and Goku even noticed Cell seemed annoyed as well. Just what the heck was going on?
Goku glanced over his shoulder and then fully relaxed as his hair shrunk back and he returned to his base form. Olibu and Piccon got the hint and went over to him.
"Hey, we still play?" Buu said sounding a bit sad.
"Maybe later." he looked over at Cell.
"I'm surprised someone like you would be anyone's servant. Honestly a but disappointed."
This visibly got to Cell as he glared angrily at Goku, then down at Babadi as he trembled in anger.
"He listens because he has no choice, and I don't know what you think will happen, but you are not going anywhere!"
"I see. Cell, Buu. You're both strong, insanely stronger than even me. Maybe next time I see you I'll have time to have caught up!" Goku smiled as he placed his fingers on his forehead as the three of them vanished.
Buu looked around, confused where his playmates had gone. It was obvious he still wanted to play.
"Hey were did they go! Get after them and start looking for them! Do you hear me you idiot!" he screamed at Buu
"And you! You can sense their energy and can teleport! Stop being lazy and find them as well!" he yelled at Cell.
"No." Cell snarled.
"What did you say?" Babadi was taken aback.
Cell hated to admit it. But Goku was right! Why the hell was he still listening to this dried up potato of a being? He could even feel it, his cells, that parts that were made up of Vegeta, of Goku, even Frieze, they hated he was being controlled! So what if he got power, he was no body's lapdog!
"I'm done. I got what I wanted and so did you. I'm going my own way now." Cell turned to fly away.
"You don't get to tell me what to do, and I think you're right! You're usefulness has come to an end." Babadi smirked.
Cell just looked annoyed, what could he even do to him anyway?
"Is that a threat?" Cell snarled.
"Oh no, I don't make threats."
Babadi thrust his hands out and Cell immediately started feeling strange. He could feel his body quivering. He didn't know what was going on but the answer was quick to arrive as his body started swelling up quickly and his entire body exploded, sending bits and pieces of him all down to the ground.
"Well, I'm done with that useless idiot." He turned back to Buu.
"And you, get to it and find them!"
Buu floated over to Babadi. They both looked annoyed at one another but soon Buu's face returned to its smile.
"Find them? No, Buu has better idea!"
Without warning, Buu grabbed Babadi by the throat, preventing him from speaking.
"Funny man right. Buu don't need you to tell what to do" Babadi was squirming in his grasp but it was futile.
"You revive Buu, let Buu have fun. But now, Buu have own fun!"
Buu crushed Babadi in his hand, letting the body fall to the ground as he blew the head up. Buu looked very happy and was gleefully cheering at himself as he danced in the air. When he finally stopped, he looked around, trying to decide what to do next.
At the lookout, everybody was in shock when Goku suddenly appeared. They had been clearly feeling his ki as he fought Buu, bit he was actually here in front of them!
"Hey guys, long time no see!" Goku casually greeted everybody like the world wasn't in danger.
Nobody was able to move, they were still in disbelief about it! Goku was here.
"Goku!" Chi Chi screamed as she ran towards him.
Goku quickly embraced Chi Chi as she slammed into him, just laughing to himself a bit.
"Hey Chi Chi. It's great to see you again!" Chi Chi just hugging him tighter as everyone else went up.
"Oh man are you a sight for sore eyes Goku!" Krillin was tearing, more so happy to see Goku, the situation be darned.
"Goku, I see you're not revived." Piccolo spoke up as he walked towards the group, everybody quickly noticing the halo above his head. And the others.
"Sharp as ever huh Piccolo. Great to see you too by the way. But yeah, I'm not revived. King Yema brought us here to help stop Majin Buu."
Goku quickly glanced over his shoulder, and everyone became aware of the other two with him.
"Guy, this is Piccon, and Olibu. King Yema thought you guys could use the help. Guys, these are my friends and family." He quickly introduced both groups to one another.
"So this Majin Buu, he's far stronger than King Yema made him out to believe. I don't know if I'll be able to help. And even Cell is back." Goku's voice became a bit more stern.
"We have a bit of time from how it feels. Why don't we wait a bit and catch you up on what's happening." Piccolo said, a surprised look on his face suddenly appearing.
"Piccolo, what is it?" Tien asked.
"It seems Majin Buu just killed Babadi." He answered.
Everyone was shocked at that, didn't Babadi control him? How could that be?
"Hey, maybe that's a good thing? Might less dangerous?" Goku, ever the optimist, offered up.
"Don't be stupid! To think that Majin Buu would not be a danger is laughably ridiculous. If anything he will be more dangerous without someone directing him!" Kabito yelled at Goku.
"Uh, yeah I guess." Goku said and then realized, he didn't recognize a few people here.
"Um, who are you?" Goku looked over at Kabito.
"He's the assistant to the Supreme Kai." Piccolo answered for him.
"What, no way the Supreme Kai! I thought that was a myth!" Goku was in shock, Olibu and Piccon also surprised.
"No. In fact they were trying to help. But unfortunately Supreme Kai was killed." Krillin said.
Goku wasn't sure how to take that news. He just learned that not only is the Supreme Kai real, but also dead? He thought he was supposed to be the strongest being?
"I guess we need to be caught up on everything. We only got maybe an half an hour heads up before we were sent here." Piccon finally spoke up.
"Goku, how long are you here for?" Piccolo asked, being aware of the normal rules. But this was anything but normal for the afterlife to be getting involved.
"How long? Well typically we would get a day in the living world. But due to Majin Buu threatening the entire universe, we have as long as we need." Goku looked around, already in his head trying to come up with a plan.
"Hey, where are Vegeta and Gohana? We could really use their help."
Everyone's mood shifted slightly. They barely had a chance to get excited about Goku being here, but their situation came back to them. Vegeta was dead. Gohana wasn't awake. And if Goku was truly going all out, they weren't sure if he could help either.
"Is something wrong?" Goku noticing the shift.
"Vegeta sacrificed himself in the initial fight so we could get away with Gohana." Krillin informed him.
"Wait, Vegeta is dead?" Goku was shocked.
"What about Gohana? Where's she at?" he looked around not seeing her.
"Ah, Nee chan is sleeping." Raina spoke up next to Chi Chi as she got close to her mom a bit shy.
Goku looked down and saw two kids next to Chi Chi. Well, one somewhat next to, and another hiding behind her as he peered out.
"Hey, Chi Chi. There's a little me behind you. And she just called Gohana 'nee chan'. Nee chan….wait that means" Goku thought for a brief moment and it seed like it hit him.
Chi Chi looked down, and could tell that they did recognize him, but were very shy. Which didn't really surprise her. Raina looked oddly fascinated, and Goten just a bit unsure. They were mostly just really shy and nervous actually meeting their father.
"Goku, these are your son and second daughter, Goten and Raina." Chi Chi gently placed her hand on Raina's shoulder and Gotens head.
Goku crouched down to their level and just smiled.
"It's nice to meet you both." Goku gave him his typical smile, Goten and Raina immediately noticing how much his smiled looked like Gohana's and felt an extreme sense of ease!
"Daddy!" Raina was the first to rush the few feet to him and give him a hug.
Goku returned it to her, surprised how strongly she was hugging him. He figured Gohana has been training her, as Goten came up and hugged as well. Chi Chi couldn't help but smile. Though it was a somewhat sad one. They finally got to meet their father, which she never expected with Goku being forbidden to be revived. But it took a threat like this to happen, and he would be gone once it was solved. Still, she held back that thought for now.
"Hey Raina, you said Gohana was asleep, right? " Goku asked.
"Yeah…she…." She looked down, "she almost died protecting us." She still was upset about what happened the other day because of them.
"But she's okay now, right?" he asked a bit worried.
"Were waiting for her to wake up. You don't know how happy she will be to see you when she wakes up." Chi Chi couldn't stop a few tears.
"Goku, earlier against Buu. You went Super Saiyan 3, didn't you?" Tien asked, deciding it was time to get a plan in motion. Or at least get Goku up to speed and adjust knowing Supreme Kai should be revived soon.
"Oh yeah. Cell flat out told me to go 3 before we even started fighting. Weird that he knew about it." Goku crossed his arms in thought.
"Wait, Tien how did you know about Super Saiyan 3 as well? Can you see into the afterlife or something?"
This kind of threw everybody off a bit. Then again, this was Goku so not that it surprised them too much.
"Gohana discovered it a while back, and used it against Cell and Buu the other day. But still , she almost died. Vegeta blew himself up to distract them while we got her here." Piccolo informed Goku.
"No way! Gohana discovered Super Saiyan 3 as well!" Goku's tone completely shifted to pure excitement.
"Yeah. Unfortunately she was so badly hurt and fatigued by the time she transformed she was nowhere close to full power." Piccolo said.
"Wait, you mean that wasn't even her full power?" Krillin asked in surprise, remembering just how intense her energy was. And that wasn't her max?
"No, and keep in mind when using 3 she also is able to mask some of her power so really her power would be higher than what you can feel. Although in theory she could hide it all." He glanced over at Kabito.
Goku was taking this all I stride. In a way he was super excited to hear Gohana was alive, and was still training. But he still didn't know the extent of Cell or Buu's power. But they fought them head on.
"Piccolo, you got a good sense of Cell and Majin Buu's power, right? Cell even mentioned Vegeta put up a better fight. How do I compare? Knowing where everybody's power stands may be useful in figuring out a plan." Goku shifted to trying to figure out a way to fight back.
"How much were you holding back at 3?" he asked.
"Honestly not much. I had a feeling I had to go pretty much all out. So what you felt was pretty close to my maximum power. Maybe a bit more."
Everyone was a little upset in a way. Up until a few days ago, they still wouldn't have been too surprised at that amount of power from Goku. But with this threat, it didn't matter much.
"Gohana and Vegeta can easily overpower you just in 2. Hell, going all out to her limits, Gohana probably could just in regular Super Saiyan give you a good fight. Even I'm now a bit above you."
Goku instead of taking this badly, was super excited to hear just how powerful everybody was! Gohana was that powerful? It was great in a way to hear Vegeta was aslo above him, though he was dead so it didn't matter right now.
"Man, I guess we're just third wheels then, huh." Goku finally said, though he didn't sound upset at all. "Well, maybe forth and fifth as well" He glanced over at Olobu and Piccon.
"No, you can still help Goku. Just need to figure out how." Krillin pointed out.
"Just use the time chamber to catch up." 18 casually said holding Marron.
Goku looked up and his face looked in shock.
"Wait, what's Android 18 doing here!" he screamed, having not sensed her, well no one could anyway.
"Whoa, calm down there Goku! Its alright, she's my wife!" Krillin immediately jumped to her defense.
"Wait, really?" Goku looked over.
18 just had a rather unreadable face, while Marron was just laughing in her arms. 18 walked up towards him, and everyone else stepping aside. This was technically the first time they were meeting, and 18 was originally programmed to kill him. Goku just looked down at her not sure what to even do.
"Guess it's at least good to meet the man I was programmed to kill. That stupid failed programming, such an annoyance."
Goku looked even more confused at her, not sure how to react to that.
"So, you plan to help us out or no? If so you gotta catch up fast. Even I'm stronger than you now. " she sounded more annoyed than anything
Everyone looked a bit surprised at that. Of course Tien and Krillin had been in the time chamber with her, but with the inability to sense her ki, they really didn't know how strong she had gotten. Even Krillin didn't really know.
"Oh wow, even you? Man, just what kind of training have you all been? I thought my training was brutal, and that's all I've been doing for the last seven years straight!"
"You can actually thank Gohana for pushing up even further than you!" Tien spoke up.
"Ahem, I hate to break up this family reunion, but now that we have all the Dragon Balls, we need to proceed quickly to revive Supreme Kai!" Kabito said, having read the situation and given them some time.
"Oh right." Bulma was holding the bag of Dragon Balls.
Everyone made a space, as Bulma opened the bag and placed the seven balls on the ground. Everyone was a little bit nervous, what would this accomplish? Should they revive Shin specifically? Or just everybody? No, they had to wait for everybody else in case they died again.
"Shenron, come out so we can make our wish." Bulma said
Videl and the kids watched in aww, as the Balls started glowing, before a beam of light shot out towards the sky that had become dark. They watched as the light morphed into the Dragon, and Videl recognized it from Gohana's necklace. Goten and Trunks thought this was the coolest thing ever, while Raina looked amazed.
"You have summoned me. Now state your wishes."
"How many can your set grant?" Kabito asked.
"Technically three. But if a large group of people are revived, then two." Dendei answered.
"Then it's enough. Dragon, the Supreme Kai was killed! Can you revive him and bring him here." Kabito shouted.
"The….supreme kai?" Shenron sounded surprised, before his eye glowed red.
They watched as soon Kabito glanced over, as they could soon sense Shin in the building where they left him.
"Your wish has been granted. Now state your next wish."
"Dragon, can you wake up Gohana!" Raina shouted out, everyone staring at her.
"I can't do anything about simply sleeping. State your next wish."
Shin rounded the corner and saw Shenron and quickly ran to the others. How much time had passed? He was in the afterlife and now suddenly back on Earth.
"Kabito, what's going on?" he asked as he got here. "Majin Buu hasn't been stopped yet, has he?" he asked, though somewhat more stating it.
"No sir. But I though reviving you would be the best chance we had." Kabito looked down worried, Shin not blaming him for that either. Would this work though?
"Do you have a second wish?" Shenron repeated.
"Hey I know! Hey Shenron, can you revive Vegeta? We could really use his help!" Goku shouted.
Shenron looked down at Goku and sighed annoyed.
"I can not revive someone who's not yet dead."
Everybody was in total shock! Vegeta had to be dead! He blew himself up, didn't he? Bulma looked the most shocked, unsure what to even think!
"Shenron, what do you mean he's not dead." Bulma shouted.
"He is alive but unconscious where you last left him." Shenron answered.
Everybody glanced in the direction they initially fought Cell and Buu. Goku quickly noticed this and focused that direction. That must be the direction Vegeta was in. And if he was unconscious, than it would only be even harder to find him. No wonder nobody had noticed.
"Got him!" Goku vanished.
It only took a few moments for Goku to reappear with Vegeta on the ground, badly hurt. In fact most of his body looked bruised to hell and back.
"VEGETA!" Bulma shrieked as she ran towards him, Trunks getting to him first.
"Dad!! Come on dad wake up!" Trunks started shouting as Bulma got to him.
They could all see just how bad Vegeta was, how was he not dead? Dendei made his way and quickly started healing him.
"Kabito, what has happened while I was dead?" Supreme Kai asked.
"Majin Buu woke up. Though just a few moments ago, Buu killed Babadi." Piccolo summed up for him.
"So it was all for naught.' He looked upset.
"I wouldn't say that sir. That girl, Gohana. I believe she can do this! The power she displayed while fighting Majin Buu. It was like his, and she even has another transformation you didn't see."
Shin looked in total shock at this.
"Then where is she?" he asked.
"She's recovering." Was all he said.
Dendei soon finished healing Vegeta, and stood up. He wasn't as bad as Gohana in a way, but it felt like every Cell of his body was a stressed. Then again he did blow himself up. Still, the fact he survived it with just being passed out, he didn't know someone could be that durable.
"Dad, come on, wake up!" Trunks shook him hard.
Vegeta softly grunted as she groggily opened his eyes. Though his vision was a blurry, he could just barely make out Bulma and Trunks against the dark sky. He must be fading, seeing things in his death. Why was it being so cruel it was showing him his family. He couldn't even feel any pain either, this must be the afterlife.
"Bulma….Trunks…." he closed his eyes accepting he was hallucinating in death.
"I love you both."
Trunks was surprised at this, and Bulma couldn't stop tears from forming hearing that after all these years.
"Man Vegeta, never thought I'd hear those words from you!" Goku teased him and laughed.
Vegeta opened his eyes and sat up, noticing he wasn't dead. Everybody was staring at him as well as he couldn't stop his face from blushing and glared down. Bulma quick embraced him. Vegeta quickly didn't care and returned her hug with a single arm. Trunks also hugging his dad tearing up.
"Wait a second! KAKAROT, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Vegeta's brain caught up.
"Well, I was supposed to come and help against Majin Buu." He started. "But honestly I couldn't even keep up with Cell."
"AHEM!" Shenron cleared his throat. "Do you actually have a second wish this time?"
"I wish for that fucking bastard Babadi to suffer in hell worse than I did!" a voice shouted behind them.
Everybody looked in fear as they saw Cell standing before them, looking enraged.
"Ummm…Your….wish has been…granted." Shenron confusingly stated.
Vegeta instantly got Bulma and Trunks behind him as he went Super Saiyan 2, and he glared at him. 18 also had a sudden look of horror, reliving in her mind when she was absorbed by him. But Krillin held his wife behind him to give something between the two of them. Raina even looked in fear but her ki was surging.
Cell just crossed his arms and started walking towards everyone. He stopped a decent way from them but he was close enough to talk casually.
"That bastard tricked me and used me to revive that Buu creature." he growled at them, everyone on edge. "I want to make sure his little pet is destroyed!"
"And give us even one good reason why we should trust you!" Vegeta scowled, Goku also on edge and ready to pounce if needed.
"He took over my mind, forced me to play his pathetic games. My pride is at stake here Vegeta! How would you like it if someone took over you?!" He was getting vocally violent towards Vegeta.
Vegeta just raised an eyebrow, confused. Though he could sense Cell didn't have malic in his words. He legitimately sounded vengeful towards Buu, not them. And he thought for a moment. What if Babadi decided to try and take control of his mind? What if he was in Cells shoes. He recalled that thing on his forehead, it now gone. And it did feel like Cell had lost power, though he was still stronger than himself. That meant he wasn't being controlled any longer though.
Standing more casually, but arms crossed, Vegeta crossed his arms and glared at Cell and smirked.
"I guess you are more Saiyan than you care to admit Cell." He taunted him.
"Don't get the wrong idea. As soon as we finish off that thing, I turn my attention back to you and Gohana! I want my fair fight." Cell mirroring Vegeta.
"You can't be serious Vegeta! Why would you even consider letting him help" 18 snapped, still looking a bit terrified at Cell.
"Do you have a better idea? Buu was stronger and more dangerous than even Cell! I can't handle Buu on my own! Kakarot cant even handle Cell who's the weaker one! And Gohana, who's our best shot, is unconscious for who knows how long! And we have someone who wants to help us kill Buu." He turned towards 18.
"Do you have a better idea for saving Earth?" he snapped at her.
18 glanced over at Cell and back to Vegeta. As much as she hated it, Vegeta was right. Right now, if Buu found them, chances are they were all dead. At least with Cell, maybe they could delay him.
"S…STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER!" she spat at Cell, holding Marron tighter.
"Please, I have no need for you or your….daughter." he paused, not knowing an android could reproduce. Previously human or not.
"Vegeta, you sure about this?" Goku asked. He was curious himself but everyone seemed to look towards Vegeta at the moment. Vegeta just glanced over at him.
"Maybe if you didn't slack off in your training and could have helped out more, than maybe we wouldn't have needed to resort to joining forces with one of our sworn enemies! I swear the only thing that would be worse is if we revived and asked Frieza for help."
Goku just chuckled a bit, and then glanced back over at Cell. He walked over to him, still a bit shorter than him and looked up, holding out his hands.
"Guess were on the same side this time" he smirked at him.
Cell looked in disgust at Goku, hating he was right. Still, he took his hand and then slammed his other fist into his head as Goku slammed I to the ground, everyone else suddenly on edge!
"Don't think I've had a change of heart like everyone else!" he screamed at him and then just walked away to one of the trees, and leaned against it.
Goku just stood up and laughed a bit, as he rubbed his head. He just glanced over at Cell and smiled.
"Still, having someone that strong right now really is a good thing." He said
"AHEM! Do you have a third wish or not?" Shenron bellowed.
Nobody knew what else they could wish for at the moment. And they knew they needed the third wish as well. But asking for him to wait would mean they have to wait six months.
"Shenron, I know this isn't your usual thing, but will need the last wish to revive everybody after we stop Majin Buu. Any chance we can just have you return to the Dragon Balls and be ready for that last wish in a day or two hopefully?" Goku asked.
Shenron for moment looked deep in thought. Nobody even knew where this even came from. Why would Goku ask that? Then again, right now that was a good idea.
"Well…seeing as my own life is in jeopardy, I will…accept this."
Without warning, Shenron returned to a light form and returned to the Dragon Balls. Everyone was quick to notice that they were still there. That actually worked?
"Bulma, can you take care of them?" Goku asked.
Bulma quickly went and gather the Balls again, and went to return them in the building. It was a little bit weird now. No one knew what to do next, and having Cell up here as well made it even worse. It was obvious the atmosphere was still very tense with him here, but he seemed to be minding his own business.
"Videl, how is Gohana doing?" Tien finally spoke up, knowing she had been in there.
"She seems better." Videl clutched her hands over her chest. "She seems more like she's just sleeping normally now. So maybe she'll wake up soon."
"Oh, so you know Gohana too?" Goku asked her.
"Oh, yes. Goku sir. Oh right you don't know who I am. My name's Videl. I'm one of Gohana's students…and, I'm her girlfriend." She said.
Goku had a confused look on his face as he looked down at Videl, then over at Chi Chi.
"Hey Chi Chi, what's a girlfriend?"
Videl just stood there, Gohana would constantly talk about how smart her father was in combat and was dangerously smart when it came to fighting. But, he didn't know what a girlfriend was? It was obnoxious to Goku as well.
"It's…right before becoming a bride." Chi Chi quickly was able to think of how Goku would understand it, sighing though in the process.
"Oh really? Cool. Nice to meet you then Videl!" he turned back to her holding his hand out.
Videl was kinda surprised about that quick exchange, but she still took his hand and shook it.
"Nice to meet you too." she shook his hand and bowed a bit.
"Um, I feel a bit useless so I'm going to go back and check on Gohana." Videl said turning towards Chi Chi.
"Of course sweaty. Come get me if anything changes."
Goku watched as Videl ran off, and turned back to Vegeta.
"So Vegeta, I hear you're stronger than me now." He said out of the blue.
Vegeta looked over in shock, was he hearing right? Kakarot admitting he had surpassed him?
"Then I guess Gohana and I trained harder than you then!" he crossed his arms, trying hard to not let his extreme internal smile show. Though Bulma could see a small twitch.
"So Gohana's the strongest, and Vegeta, Piccolo and 18 are all stronger than me. So maybe we should try coming up with a plan around you guys." Goku spoke up.
"Actually when Gohana wakes up, I think we should take her to our planet and try pulling out the Z sword." Shin finally spoke up.
"What, you can't be serious sir!" Kabito was in shock.
"From what I understand, Buu is even stronger than her, and Buu is still more so. Maybe she can finally be the one who pulls the Z sword out and obtain its power."
"A sword? How will that help Gohana beat Buu?" Krillin asked specifically.
"It is not something even here on Earth you can fathom. It is a sacred weapon of the Kai's!" Kabito was offended.
"It's alright Kabit, it only makes sense they don't know what it is."
"Well, maybe while Gohana is off doing that, I can show everyone the fusion dance. Vegeta, maybe we can do it as well." Goku though outlook.
"Fusion, what's that?" Tien asked curiously.
"Wait, you know how to fuse?" Shin asked.
"Yeah, I learned it from these two Metamore's in the afterlife. It's when two people can fuse into one fighter, and their strength is magnified together!"
"It sounds like something worth learning if it can help us beat Buu. How do we do it?" Piccolo asked.
"Well, first you need to make sure your power is the same, and then you just mirror each other in a really simple dance."
Everyone was a bit throw off at 'dance'.
Goku in extreme detail walked them through the entire process.
"First, step start a bit away from each other with your arms straight out away from one another. Then, three steps closer to each other while rotating your arms in a half circle towards one another while reciting few."
Everyone immediately just stared in surprise at him.
"Shun, outer leg up fully bend, thigh parallel to the ground towards each other. Arms back the other way."
Trunks and Goten looked amused, Raina finding it fun watching her dad showing this.
"Ha! Extend the outer leg, pointer fingers out and stretched towards each other like this. It's very important to make sure the tips of the fingers are touching."
Goku then stood up and saw everyone just staring at him having just watched what he was doing.
"And this…will help? What's it do?" Tien asked.
"If you do it correctly and in synch, you'll combine into a different person, a mix of each. But it's only temporary, half an hour. And the cool down is an hour. Vegeta if you and I did this, we could probably easily beat Majin Buu!"
"Why the hell would I do a stupid silly dance! Let alone with someone weaker than me!?" Vegeta shouted.
"Ah come on, it's only temporary and to help save the Earth!"
"I'm not so sure myself Goku. I mean, would it even work?" Piccolo asked.
"It should. Honestly I've never been able to do it myself because-" A shattering cup cut them off and they looked over suddenly.
Gohana stood there trembling, having dropped her tea cup from her trembling hands. Videl, Raina and Chi Chi behind her as they rounded the corner soon. Everyone else just looked, not saying anything. Gohana just stood there, her mouth stuck open and trembling. Tears started forming as she was more so struggling to even say anything. Or even move! She just starred at Goku while visibly trembling , losing control of her tears.
"Hey, your awake kiddo!" Goku smiled.
This was enough to get to her to at least get a breath out. Gohana lightly moved one of her feet, still trembling in disbelief. And without warning, Gohana sprinted towards him. Goku barely managed to not get knocked over as Gohana slammed into him. Hugged her dad and started crying loudly into his chest.
