Slowly, finally, the train reached Hogsmeade station, and everyone was getting off.

That is, all except for Elisa, Annie and Jack – who had still not woken up.

The sisters were just wondering what to do, when the man from before came in.

"How's he doing ladies?" he asked gently looking over Jack.

"He's calmed down a little, but still not woken up" Elisa said calmly.

"Strange, Harry woke up in about five minutes" the man said trying, and by the look on his face, failing to try and find a pulse for Jack.

"Harry?" Annie said worried "As in Harry Potter? He got affected by those freaks too?"

"Yes" he said once again making a silver wolf and sending it off towards the castle. "Hopefully Madam Pomfery gets that before she gets to the Great Hall." he said putting his wand away.

"Um, if you don't mind us asking Sir," Elisa said trying to be polite "Who are you?"

"My name, is Remus Lupin," he said "I'll be the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher this year."

Just then there was a moan and Jack slowly sat up saying "Just... be better... than Lockhart."

"JACK!" the girls screamed happily and hugged him tightly but feeling sick he pushed them away and threw up into a bottomless spelled bucket Lupin had just made appear out of nowhere.

"Are you alright Jack?" Lupin asked calmly as Jack finished, before offering him some chocolate saying it will help.

"I feel like I have the plague" Jack said lying back down across the seats.

"Ignoring that, as it hopefully is impossible for you to have it," Lupin commented calmly "On a scale of 1 – 10, how would you rate your pain, and level of feeling sick?"

"2 for pain," Jack said thinking "7 or 8 of sickness."

"Even after the chocolate?" Lupin asked in a surprised tone.

Jack nodded and took another bite of the bar.

Just then a silver cat came running towards the train and into their carriage and spoke in McGonagall's voice.

"We've received your message Remus, and will have a bed set up for Frost when he get here. I will send Hagrid to collect him, when he arrives with the First Years."

When the message was over the cat vanished.

"What bed?" Jack asked sitting up again and looking out the window for Hagrid.

"You, Jack, will be spending tonight in the Hospital Wing at the school." Lupin said calmly and firmly.

"But..."

"No questions and no backing out," he said taking out his wand and pointing it at Jack "You obviously have a much worse reaction to Dementors than anyone else here, so you will be spending a night there, just in case there are some long lasting problems. Do you understand."

Jack was about to try and fight back, tell him he had fought a Nightmare Army, Defeated Old Man Winter, can create massive snow storms out of nowhere without breaking a sweat, when he remembered he was supposed to be playing the part of a human being student.

"Yes sir..." he said sighing wondering, if news got back to the Guardians about this, how fast it would be for Tooth to come and make sure he was alright.

About 10 minutes later Hagrid was there calling to them from the platform.

Carefully Annie, Elisa, and Lupin helped Jack get up and they all went outside where there was a carriage waiting for them.

"You feeling ok Jack?" he asked smiling at them.

"Ugh..." he answered as he sat down, still holding the bucket, just in case.

"Well Madam Pomfery will make you feel better before you know it, don't you worry." Hagrid said shutting the door and walking along beside the Thestrals pulling the carriage back to the school.

Once they were there, they were met with Professor McGonagall who sent the Dale sisters, Hagrid and Lupin to the Great Hall, and took Jack to a side room where he was surprised to see Hermione and Harry.

"Broken rules already Harry?" Jack said smiling a little as he sat down in a chair, still feeling sick and weak in the knees.

"Not that I'm aware of," Harry said rolling his eyes a little "What you in for?"

"Remember that thing on the train?" Jack asked waiting for them to nod "Turns out, them and me don't get on all that well."

"Which is precisely why," McGonagall said coming in with Madam Pomfery who brought a huge ball of chocolate with her which she gave to Jack before turning to look Harry over "Mr Frost will be spending the night in the Hospital Wing. And I think you Mr Potter, should think the same seeing as Professor Lupin said you also were taken ill."

"What? No I don't need to spend the night in the Hospital Wing." Harry said trying to get the matron to stop.

"Are you sure Potter?" McGonagall said sounding worried.

"Yes." Harry answered.

"Well he should at least have some chocolate." Madam Pomfery said finally backing off.

"I already had some," Harry said "Professor Lupin gave it to me, he gave it to all of us."

"Did he?" Madam Pomfery said sounding surprised "Finally a Defence teacher with a brain comes to this school."

If Jack wasn't feeling so sick, he would have laughed and really enjoyed that.

"Very well, Frost, Potter, please wait outside while I talk to Miss Granger about her timetable." McGonagall said as Madam Pomfery packed up and left.

"I'm allowed to go to the welcoming Feast right?" Jack said getting up "Even if I'm spending the night in the hospital wing?"

"Yes Frost, you are, now please outside."

The boys went outside.

As they waited Harry looked like he wanted to ask Jack something.

"Yes?" Jack asked finally putting the bucket down.

"Did... did you hear anyone screaming when... when that thing – the Dementor, came by your carriage?"

"No. But I did see things, relived things I didn't really want to relive." Jack said looking down at his hands before turning them into fists and looking away.

Thankfully, Harry didn't ask what these things were.

Soon Hermione came out smiling about something, McGonagall behind her and all four of them went to the Great Hall, where Professor Flitwick was removing a stool and an old wizard's hat.

"Oh no, we missed the Sorting." Hermione said.

"Good, then we should just be able to get straight into the food." Jack said as they made their way to the Gryffindor table.

As soon as they sat down Annie asked Jack how he was.

"Bit better now, but they're having me stay in the Hospital Wing tonight, just in case." Jack said and started loading up his plate.

After the feast, introductions of new teachers, one surprisingly being Hagrid, and the warning about the Dementors being set around the boundaries of the school, everyone got up to go to bed.

Jack waited for a few minutes for the crowd to thin out before getting up and heading to the Hospital wing, where Madam Pomfery was making up a bed for him.

"Ah, there you are Mr Frost." she said seeing him "I suppose this is some kind of record." she said to herself "Never had anyone come here on the first day back before."

"Well, if those things are going to be here all year, I think you'll be seeing a lot of me this year, and maybe Harry Potter, if he will ever accept he needs help and medicals when he needs it." Jack said taking the pyjamas' she was passing him.

"Honestly, what is the Ministry thinking putting those creatures around a school full of children, I don't know." she said and left saying she'll come back to check on him in an hour.

Getting changed, Jack put his uniform and wand on the table next his bed and got into it, feeling very sleepy all the sudden.

Yawning, he rolled over and went to sleep, hoping Sandy would bring him good dreams, after what happened on the train.
