Ienzo's Point of View
I stared out my bedroom window up at the stars. Jess strangely seemed to enjoy Lea and Isa breaking in. She confused me, but her presence was still greatly enjoyable. I watched as a star flew across the sky and noticed it appeared to have landed somewhere nearby. I rushed to get dressed and ran to Jess' room. I hoped that Jess would want to check it out with me.
I entered Jess's room. "Jess, Jess!" I whispered while shaking Jessica to wake her up.
Jess groaned. "Ienzo, it's too early."
"Jess, there's a shooting star! I think it landed nearby. We should go look for it," I urged.
She shot up out of her bed. "Like sneak out? I'm in," She smirked.
"Let's go," I prompted.
"Get out of here and let me get dressed first," She ordered.
"Oh... Right." I said. I waited outside of her room while she got dressed in daytime clothes.
Even came walking down the hall. He stopped as he saw me. "Ienzo, what are you doing out of bed?" He demanded.
I knew I was going to get in trouble. I couldn't bring myself to meet his eyes as I explained what had happened. "Well, there was this shooting star, and it looked like it landed somewhere nearby, and I wanted to try to look for it with Jess," I explained.
Even paused, seeming to consider my request. "You cannot leave the castle without supervision. That being said, I will go to keep an eye on both of you if I must. Just know that it is improbable that you will find anything at all."
"Really, Even?" I asked. It was strange to think that Even would be so nice as to allow us to go out at night.
"Next time, I expect you to ask first. I never want you to go behind my back again. Do you understand?" Even checked.
"Yes," I replied.
Jess came out of the room. She immediately noticed Even, and her entire demeanor changed. She looked very unsure of herself. Even spoke up. "Ienzo has told me of your plans. I have decided to supervise this excursion. I do hope you didn't have any intentions of going out there alone." Jessica had a guilty look on her face. Even took her silence as an answer. "I suspected as much. No matter. Come, girl." As she took Even's hand and I followed along, I couldn't help but feel like there was something they weren't telling me. The last time I had been with the two of them, Jessica hardly put any thought into what Even thought of her, but she was upset when she got caught this time around. I wasn't sure what had happened between them, but it was strange to see Even so caring and gentle. All he ever seemed to do with me was yell at me, but it didn't bother me. I was used to it. I supposed it was because Jess was a girl because I couldn't think of any other reason.
Sorry this took so long.
Thank you, Gage Finale, for favoriting.
