As soon as they made it back to the castle, Elisa went to go leave her newly bought things in her dormitory in Ravenclaw Tower, and Jack, Hermione, and Ron did the same with their new things as they also looked for Harry, finding him in the Gryffindor common room with Baby Tooth and Annie.

"There you go mate!" Ron said proudly, setting the bag of sweets down before his best friend. "Got as much as we can carry."

"Wow. Thanks guys," Harry said taking a look inside the bag and pulling out some Pepper Imps to try "So what's Hogsmeade like? Where'd you go?"

Leaving Ron and Hermione to do the explaining, Jack looked around the room wondering if he should tell Bunny about this 'magic dog'.

"So what about you?" said Hermione, looking anxious. "Did you get any work done?"

"No." Annie said smirking a little "There were too many fans in the common room so we were on our way to the library when Lupin invited us in for some tea in his office."

"That was nice of him," Jack said smiling "I hope you behaved Baby," he added directing this to the fairy who nodded.

"Yeah well anyway while we were there, Snape came in and handed Lupin a goblet of something green and smoking, and didn't smell very nice," Annie continued trying to get as much detail of how horrible the potion in the goblet was.

"And Lupin drank it!" Harry said finishing "Saying he was having it because he was feeling a bit off-colour."

"Lupin drank it?" Ron asked shocked "Is he mad?"

Hermione checked her watch. "We better go down," she said "The feast will be starting in five minutes..."

So they hurried out the portrait hole still discussing Snape.

"But if he was trying to kill Lupin," Hermione said speaking up first "He wouldn't do it with Harry and Annie in there at the same time would he?"

"Plus the fact that he's had technically 2 months to knock him off already," Jack said tapping his wand on the walls and leaving a trial of frost patterns, just because he was bored. "Unless of course he wants to be cunning about it and it's a slow acting potion. Did anything else seem off?"

"Well he paused and looked between Harry and Lupin for about a minute, when he came in." Annie said speaking up "Sort of like how mum and dad look between me and Elisa when we did something bad and they're trying to work out what it was."

Finally they make it to the Great Hall where hundreds of lit floating candles were amongst the live bats and floating lit jack-o-lanterns, with giant carved out pumpkins placed around here and there, along with orange and black streamers and cobwebs.

As they entered Jack looked around the room for a a place to sit and was a little surprised to see Evie, his friends who happened to be the Spirit of Halloween, in her black and orange poofy witch's costume (complete with buckle boots and stripy tights) talking to Fred and George at the Gryffindor table.

Smiling he went over to join them, letting the others go where they wanted.

"JACK!" Evie said crying out happily when she saw him, and hugged him tightly.

"Come on Evie no need to put on a show," Jack said looking around nervously.

"What show? As far as I know, I'm not visible to anyone except these handsome friends of yours," she said looking to the Weasley Twins, who looked pretty proud at that comment. "But..." she said before changing into her black cat form "If I'm like this I think some of the cute First Years can see me."

Rolling his eyes, Jack just sat down and waited for the food.

After a while it came in plates of sausages, all kinds of potatoes, salads, vegetables, and meats.

"So Jack..." Evie said, in her human form again, sitting next to Jack and stealing some of his chips. "How was your date?"

"It was not a date..." Jack said trying not to blush or look Evie in the eyes "It was a day out with friends."

"Sure... So you wouldn't mind if I tell Emily Jane..." Evie said slowly grinning at the pause Jack gave in his chewing "Would you?"

"Who's that?" George asked a curious grin on his face.

"Emily Jane is Mother Nature's real name," Evie said grinning her Cheshire-Cat grin as she saw how worked up this was making Jack "The name only her closest friends, and family, gets to call her."

"Oh... so you were close to her, were you mate?" Fred asked grinning himself as he cut up his meat "You know, I wondered how you managed to get away with all the things weather related you did in that prank diary of yours."

"Elisa and I are just friends" Jack said quietly to Evie, giving her a small glare.

"That's not what Cupid said last year after he fixed Valentine's Day for you," Evie said, helping herself to popcorn that she got from somewhere, as she watched Jack "He said you both sent each other sweet presents with tooth-decay worthy poems."

"So what if we did?" Jack said getting annoyed with her now, and getting whispers from everyone down the table who were wondering what was going on.

"So... that doesn't seem to be something two people who are 'Just friends' would do," Evie said smirking "It sounds like something Boogieboos would do."

"Boogie... boos?" the twins said together not hearing this word before.

"You know what, I'm suddenly *yawn* very sleepy," Jack said pushing his plate away and getting up "So good *bigger yawn* Goodnight."

And as fast as he could, while trying to not look suspicious, Jack left the table and the Hall.

As he left the Twins turned to Evie with questioning and awaiting looks.

"Boogieboo" Evie said as she helped herself to some pumpkin pie "Is the Seasonal Spirit's Fairy Language for 'Loved one' or 'Sweetheart'."

"Has this happened before?" Fred asked helping himself to pie "A Spirit falling in love with a non-spirit?"

"Well, technically, yes," Evie said after thinking for a bit. "But Katherine was... lets say adopted, by Spirits when her village got attacked by bandits, meaning she grew up with and around them, so I'm not sure if it counts."

Mumbling to himself about how annoying Evie could be, Jack made his way up to Gryffindor Tower.

He was almost there when he heard voices and said voiced arguing.

"Come on just let me in," a rough man's voice said.

"I'm sorry dear, but you can't come in without the password." The Fat Lady said, sounding a bit panicky.

"It will only be for about 5 minutes, 10 max," the man said "Please. I need to get in there and get back at the person who did this to me!"

Confused, and cautious, Jack pulled out his wand, but stayed hidden and looked around the corner to see a man, with messy tanglely black hair, prison clothes, and looking rather thin.

"I am sorry dear," the Fat Lady said again "But even though you used to be in this House while you were in this school, that does not give you free access to the Gryffindor Common Room without the password.

Growling the man changed into the dog Jack had seen that afternoon and with his sharp claws slashed at the canvas – supposedly thinking that might work, but it didn't, it just made the Fat Lady scream and run off away from her portrait and the Animagus.

Snarling that his plan hadn't worked the dog turned and started to leave obviously not wanting to be found here.

He was just passing Jack's hiding spot, when he paused and looked around, finding Jack pointing a wand at him.

The unspoken word of 'Shit...' easily being read on the canines face.
