The wind was so strong, both teams had to lean into it as they staggered across the pitch to meet in the middle, already going slowly because their feet kept getting stuck in the muddy field.

Looking around, Jack saw the crowds waving their flags and cheering, but due to the noise of the storm, could hardly hear them.

The Hufflepuff's were approaching from the other side in bright canary-yellow robes. The captains walked up to each other and they shook hands; Diggory smiled but Wood just merely nodded.

Jack saw Madam Hooch mouth the words 'Mount your brooms' the sound of her voice being taken by the winds and noise of the storm.

Pulling his leg out of the mud, Jack mounted his Snow Flurry 68, as everyone else mounted their own brooms waiting for Madam Hooch's whistle.

Soon she blew it, there was a shrill and distant noise and they were off.

Although Jack had been friends with Gale – the name he sometimes called the spirit of the Wind – for almost his entire Spirit life, he was finding it hard to stay upright and guide he broom where he wanted it to go.

The rain didn't help that much either. For it meant he couldn't really see where his other Chaser teammates were, even with the brightly coloured robes they had on.

At some point Jack almost got unseated by a Bludger, but stayed in the air and on his broom.

Seeing a red blur being followed by two yellow ones, Jack called over to it and seconds later got hold of the Quaffle and headed for the Hufflepuff side of the pitch to score, making it past their keeper.

As the ball was being collected to be thrown back into the game, Jack looked around trying to find Harry, hoping he was having better luck at seeing things than he was.

After a little while thunder was heard off to the right, and seconds later came a crash of lightning, followed by Madam Hooch's whistle.

Looking around from where he was Jack saw Wood gesturing for him to come back down to earth.

He and Harry landed in front of their captain with the rest of the team.

"I've called for time out," Wood explained "Come on, under here – "

They all huddled under a large umbrella at the edge of the pitch.

"What's the score?" Harry asked.

"We're 70 points up, but if the snitch isn't caught soon we'll be playing into the night," Oliver replied.

"Hey I'm doing the best I can," Harry said frowning a little.

"Yeah Oliver, do you know how hard it is to find that golden walnut under perfect Quidditch conditions?" Jack said backing Harry up "At least Diggory hasn't found it yet either."

Soon Madam Hooch came over asking if they were ready to resume play.

Nodding the whole team came out and got back onto their brooms.

If Jack thought this 'half' of the match would be better than the first one, he was wrong, if anything the weather had gotten even worse.

Thankfully though, Jack, Katie, and Angelina managed to get a couple more goals, Jack just barely dodging a lightning bolt that lit up some of the unused seats, showing a large shaggy black dog watching the match its eyes mainly on Harry.

"Sirius, you're not meant to be here," Jack said in a voice only he could hear because of the storm.

But as if he had heard him, Sirius-the-dog got up and left before a second flash of light hit the stands.

"Jack!" Katie called out, getting his attention before he had the wind knock out of him by the Quaffle.

Turning his attention back to the game, Jack started to head for the Hufflepuff goalposts, when something didn't feel right.

There was a eerie silence coming from the crowd, the howling winds seemed to quiet down a little, and it was cold...

Gasping Jack looked around him and saw about 100 Dementors, split into two groups, one going for him the other going for Harry.

Trying to do his job as 'Protector of the Potter boy' Jack tried to get over to him, but the cold from the monsters, along with the memories and unable-to-breath-properly-ing made it so he couldn't move.

He had just arrived at the small village next to his lake after waking up.

He was looking around for someone to help him, but no one was answering him.

Seeing a boy coming towards him, he knelt down asking if he could tell him where he was.

And the boy ran right through him.

Then another person did the same, then another, and another.

The pain was too much, the shock of not being seen or heard fresh in his mind, as he asked the Wind to take him back to the forest.

When Jack woke up, he felt sick, but thankfully didn't throw up this time.

Lying still where he was because everything hurt, he squinted at everything trying to work out where he was, by the amount of white, the smell and the fact the sound were echoing of the walls, he took a guess that he was in the hospital wing.

Slowly looking in the other direction, he saw someone sitting up in the bed next to him and the shattered remains of a broomstick at the end of the bed.

"Harry?" he said in a croaky voice to the lump who looked over to him.

"Yeah Jack?" he asked a mix of a small smile and a frown in his voice.

"When and how did we get here?" Jack asked trying to sit too, but it hurt too much and made him feel sicker.

"Dementors came to party crash the Quidditch match," Harry said quietly "We both fell off our brooms, Cedric got the snitch, My broom hit the Whomping Willow, yours barely missed it and was rescued, the team have it back in the common room. I woke up about 15 minutes after it happened; you've been knocked about 2 hours."

"Where is everyone?" Jack asked wondering.

"Madam Pomfery kicked the team - minus Wood cause he's trying to drown himself in the showers - out because they were too muddy and noisy, Ron and Hermione just went down for dinner and the Guardians, Baby Tooth, and Madam Pomfrey are trying to calm Tooth down in that room over there, I think they put a silencing charm on the door."

"Hmm... Guess I win the bet I had with Ron then." Jack said smiling.

Soon the door to the room opened and out came a green blur that attacked Jack and hugged him so tightly he thought he might have broken some ribs.

"Tooth, choking, not breathing, and hurting!" Jack said trying to get her off him.

"Sorry, sorry!" Tooth said letting go but you could tell she wanted to hug him and not let go of him again.

"I'm fine Tooth," Jack said trying to calm her down.

"Ha!" Bunny said loudly "Kid, you fell off your broom from 30 feet in the air, and were knocked out by a hundred Dementors. One creature that, with you being the Guardian of Fun, should NOT come across."

"I get it Bunny, Dementors are bad, and if there are too many might even kill me," Jack said in a surprisingly calm voice, waving off Bunny's words "But I'm not dead, look I'm fine and I'm alive. Yes I feel a bit sick and sore, but just give me some chocolate and I'll be better. Right Madam Pomfery?" he asked looking at the matron.

"Having some chocolate will make both of them feel better, but I want both of you boys to stay here for the rest of the weekend, just in case." she said aiming this more to Harry than Jack.

Crossing his arms, a little grumpy, Bunny backed off and let the kid have his way.

After making sure the dished out chocolate and medicines were taken, North, Sandy and a-not-really-wanting-to-go-but needed-to-Tooth, left and Bunny went back to his room in the castle.

There was quiet for a moment since Madam Pomfery was in her office too, when Harry said "Annie and Elisa were here too."

"Oh yeah?" Jack asked felling a little tired now, Baby Tooth having made a nest in his hair wanting to be as close to him as possible.

"Yeah, both seemed really worried," Harry said smiling a little "I think Elisa was even holding your hand."

Smiling Jack yawned a little ready to fall asleep when:

"Jack?"

"Hmm?"

"If I learn to fight off these Dementors, will you help me?" Harry asked sounding nervous.

"Sure, cross my heart and hope to die, stick a snowball in my eye." Jack said saying the promise vow he had with his sister when he was human.

Smiling both boys yawned and went to sleep.
