The alleyway remained silent as the group of teenagers slowly moved around after what had happened. Shoto had managed to find some rope in the nearby piles of trash and used it to restrain the unconscious Stain. Midoriya helped him strip the killer of weapons to keep him from escaping, but in his condition, they didn't expect him to move much. They both cast silent glances to each other the whole time, unsure of what to say after what they had witnessed. They then looked to see Katara slowly walk over to them, her hands covered in water.

"I finished treating Iida and the hero over there. Let me do some of your injuries, please." She quietly said to them, her voice filled with concern.

Even though she was trying to be genuine, the pair of them could sense the uneasiness in her voice. And she felt it as well, her worry far too much at this point to hide any longer. Even as they nodded in silence, Katara couldn't stop her heart from beating faster. Her hands glowed as she worked to mend some of Midoriya's deep lacerations, but her mind was elsewhere, fear coming over her now.

For months she had kept her abilities hidden, to draw less attention to herself so there were less questions about where she came from. Little by little not only her bending techniques, but even that night she arrived, was being revealed to everyone. All of that she could deal with, but tonight she had done something she had regretfully learned and now had once again used. Even if it was to save someone close to her, it still left a cold feeling in her stomach.

What felt worse than that though was the wall of silence she was getting from everyone here. Even worse was the stare she received from Tenya, his eyes filled with pure confusion, almost begging for her to say something. She however had to turn away when she had healed him, unable to look him in the eyes after everything. She now could see why he would be upset at her; This entire time she had known him, so many secrets were kept. They were lies that kept together her story about her life, and now he must truly distrust her. And to be honest… she couldn't blame any of them if they all felt the same way.

"Katara…"

"Huh?" She came out of her thoughts to the sound of her name, looking up to Shoto staring at her.

"You finished already." He said to her.

She looked down to see her hands still over his arms despite the wounds already closed up. "Oh, s-sorry. I was… distracted." She moved her hands towards his palm and started to close up the injury there as well, once again looking away from him. As she finished, she turned to walk away, but suddenly felt Shoto's hand grab her shoulder. She looked back in confusion as he stared at her. "Todoroki, what are-

"You did the right thing using your power." Shoto quickly said to her.

Her heart felt like it stopped beating from the words she just heard. "Wh-what?"

"I don't know what that was, but whatever you did… you did the right thing."

She felt her body stiffen slightly to what she was told. Her mind, however, was in denial, screaming that he was only saying this to hide his uncertainty. She frowned and pulled away, walking away from the others in worry. "I know you are all confused… I didn't want to ever use this power." she grunted out in frustration.

"Katara, wait!" Midoriya yelled as he stood back up, hobbling as his leg was still somewhat injured. "Where are you going?"

"I just… I just need some time, okay?" She sighed and rubbed her arm as she walked down the alley alone, leaving the others staring after her.

"Katara…"

Her name being called caused her to tense up once more, especially to who it was from. She turned back around to see Tenya standing there, his eyes locked on the ground in front of himself. His fists shook at his sides as his breath came in deep gasps. "Why did you do that?"

Katara felt herself tense up even more as he started walking towards her, looking away in shame and clutching her arm. "I didn't want to use this power. I have never-

Her words were cut off as Tenya's arms shot out and gripped her shoulders, the shock causing her to yelp and turn back towards him. When she did though, her eyes widened in confusion to the tears coming down his face.

"Why did you risk your life like that?!"

The words were not what Katara expected, her mouth falling open in disbelief as he clenched his pouring eyes.

"I was a fool for doing what I did. I was so focused on doing this for Tensei that I didn't think about the consequences. And because of that I put everyone at danger. But why… why did you do that for me?!"

Katara's concern for her actions completely vanished, now replaced with anger at his statement. "Why do you think? I couldn't just let you get killed!" She shouted back at him.

"It was all my fault… my mistake that got me here. You shouldn't have done that! I…" Tenya clenched his eyes as he trembled, "I couldn't forgive myself if something happened to you because of me!"

"And what would your brother think if you were dead!" Katara screamed back and hit her fist into his chest. "How do you think your family would think if you were dead... or me?!"

Tenya opened his mouth to retort, but was caught off guard as she suddenly leaped forward and wrapped her arms around his body. He sat in silence as he felt her embrace him, her breath coming in small gasps as she fought back her own tears. "Katara, I-

"I told you I would always be there to help when you need it… just like your brother has always been there for us. Even if you push me away, I'll always be there to help you!"

The pain in Tenya's chest swelled to what she said, gritting his teeth in anger at himself. Once again because of his own personal wants, he tried to distance himself from Katara. Even though he was so confused with everything that had happened, he could not deny the feeling inside; that she truly had become part of his life since she came. Even with the doubt inside his head to who she was, he was the one who acted on his own and almost got them killed. He would have never forgiven himself if she got hurt for his blunder. His arms came up and hugged her back, unable to compose himself as he broke down.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry Katara!" He cried out as he squeezed her close. "I am such a fool! I… almost got you and everyone here killed. I'm sorry!"

Katara sniffled as she felt him cry against her, a small smile forming on her face. "It's not your fault. You were so angry… and I understand why."

As the two stood there embracing each other, Midoriya couldn't help but smile seeing them get over the tension once more. "I'm glad…" he said out loud.

"Yeah…" Shoto added as he watched Katara wipe a few tears away from her face. His own mouth formed a small grin, seeing her like this after how worried she had been the last two days about Iida. As his gaze shifted to the left however, it fell when he saw the hero killer laying there tied up. "We should get him out of here before he comes to."

Midoriya looked back and gulped, hoping he wouldn't have to see that man up again. "Y-yeah, you're right."

Shoto grunted, leaned over and grabbed one of Stain's arms. "Here, help me get him to the street." He said as he began dragging the unconscious man down the alley. Midoriya went to help, but yelped as the pain in his leg still lingered. Before they could move him anymore, Native walked up and grabbed the hero killer from behind.

"I can get him, it's the least I can do for you kids helping me." Native said as he looked down after the waterbender, watching her as he thought back to that ability she performed earlier. "You should… go and figure some things out. It seems you all are just as confused as I am."

Coming out of the dirty alleyway, the group came to the side street below a few flickering lights. Most of the noises of chaos was now gone from the city, only faint sirens heard in the distance. Katara and the others felt a little relieved they came to a place where they could at least relax a little-

"YOU STUPID KID!"

All of their mouths fell open in shock as Gran Torino flew through the air and slammed his foot into Midoriya's face. Katara gasped as her friend fell back onto his bottom with a hard thud. "Midoriya!" She looked back to the little man stomping over to the green haired teen. "Who the heck are you?!"

Gran Torino ignored the waterbender and walked over to smack Midoriya in the head again. "What part of staying on the train did you not get, boy?!"

"G-Gran Torino!" Midoriya sweated as his mentor's mentor scolded him. "I-I had no idea what was going on, so I had to find out!"

"Damn it, kid…" Gran Torino rubbed his head in frustration. "You really are reckless, aren't you?"

"W-wait, how did you find us here? I don't have your number to send-

"My father sent you here, didn't he?" Shoto grunted from the side, knowing his message must have spread.

Torino gave a small nod. "Indeed he did. He is finishing up the mess in the city and asked us to head over."

On cue, a group of other heroes rounded the corner and approached the alley exit. "What's going on? We were told there was a situation over here!" One of them asked.

The blonde female hero noticed the figure tied up on the ground, her eyes going wide when she saw the blood red cloths draped from his form. "Wait… is… is that the hero killer?!"

The others gasped in shock from the revelation of who was before them, the pros circling the man in amazement. With all of the attention put on the assassin, Katara sighed and stepped back towards the wall, leaning against it as she winced from the pain in her shoulder. She gripped her arm as Shoto noticed her.

"Are you alright?" he asked in concern.

"I'm fine…" She frowned and rubbed the area that was stabbed. "My healing is good, but serious injuries still take time to fully recover."

"You were amazing in helping us. Your healing is very strong." Shoto rubbed the sensitive spots on his forearms, feeling the raw spots that were closed up earlier. He then looked down to the unconscious man on the ground, his mind replaying what he saw in the end. "Your other ability was strong as well."

Katara immediately clenched up when he said that, looking over to him staring directly at her. Her eyes darted over to Tenya and Midoriya looking at her as well, both of them obviously hearing what Todoroki stated. She gripped her arm and looked away, knowing she couldn't avoid it at this point. "I… there are things I haven't told you all. I have been trying to keep this-

"Look out!"

Everyone's hearts jumped from the sudden yell from Gran Torino, looking up to see the flying Nomu diving through the sky straight towards them all. Katara's eyes widened as the creature's grotesque clawed foot was aimed straight at her head. Her arms raised up to block herself, but she was suddenly shoved out of the way just before it grabbed her. She gasped as she was pushed against the wall, looking up to see Todoroki standing where she was. She watched in horror as the creature's claws ripped across his shoulder.

"Todoroki!" She screamed out as he fell to the ground gripping his shoulder, dropping down and helping clutch the wound over his body. She went to open her water up, but in the next moment her heart jumped as Midoriya was suddenly grabbed by the stomach and carried off the ground. "Midoriya, no!"

The others on the ground all looked up in shock as the creature rose higher in the air, blood splattering from the Nomu's injury over some of the pros. "Shoot, it's getting away! I can't reach that high with my quirk in time!" Gran Torino yelled at himself.

In all of the confusion, nobody noticed the single hidden blade slide out from Stain's wrist wraps.

Before anyone could see, a tongue slipped out and licked off the nomu's blood that had been splattered in the female hero's face, causing the nomu's body to lock up and fall from the sky. Katara couldn't even process what was happening before the blur rushed past her, her heart skipping a beat as Stain sprinted down the street freed of his bindings.

"The world is filled with fakes that steal the name hero…" Stain growled out as he leaped into the air knife raised, "… And by criminals who flaunt their power!"

The eyes of everyone went wide as Stain buried his knife deep into the nomu's brain, killing it, and at the same time grabbing Midoriya and keeping him from slamming into the ground as the three fell. Katara's mouth shook in confusion as she watched the killer drop Midoriya onto the ground… unharmed.

"Did… he just save him?" she stuttered out.

Shoto crawled up from the ground, his eyes never leaving the hero killer even as blood leaked out of his shoulder. "What's going on…" He winced out through the pain.

Midoriya shakingly looked up to the man next to him, Stain wheezing out as blood leaked from his mouth. "All those shall be purged from this world…" Stain hissed and ripped the knife out of the beast's brain. "All that I do… is to make a stronger society."

The others stood in silence as the assassin wobbled in place, unsure if they should engage or not while he was near Midoriya.

"Where is it?!" the voice of Endeavor echoing in the street rang out as he ran to the area, the man looking for the final nomu he battled earlier. He then noticed the group of heroes standing there, all of them looking down the road to a single figure standing alone. After a moment his eyes widened when he recognized the ragged cloths over him. "Wait… it's him."

Wheezing, Stain turned his gaze to the flame hero who just arrived, his pupils dilating in rage. "Endeavor…"

A large grin spread across Endeavor's face as he ignited his fist. "Finally, I found you!"

"Wait, Todoroki!" Gran Torino yelled out in fear, "There's a student there!"

Hobbling in his stance, Stain turned to face the group before him. As he shifted, the wraps on his face gave away, dropping to the ground and revealing his full face. All of them gasped when where would be his nose was just a chopped off stump, the disfigured man glaring at all of the people staring at him.

"All of you… all of you are fakes in this world! Your blood will purify this land!"

Katara couldn't take her eyes off Stain as he stumbled down the road. She was in complete shock, wondering how he was even moving after everything that happened. But she couldn't move from the chilling sensation that crawled over her body. The feeling was one Katara had felt before, but never to this level. The cold, insatiable look pouring from the hero killer was overpowering her body, his blood lust greater than anyone she had ever faced. The only thing that she felt move was her heart beating faster in her chest.

"I will reclaim the title of hero… from all of the impostors!" Stain slammed his boot into the street as he glared at all those frozen in his presence. "Come on! All you try and stop me! I will kill every one of you fakes!"

Even Endeavor felt his skin crawl from the intensity of the hero killer, stepping back as Stain came closer.

"My job will never end. There is only one man who can kill me…" Stain's red eyes pierced the souls of everyone there, the dark aura emitting from his presence forcing their blood to run cold.

"ALL MIGHT IS WORTHY!"

The sound of a knife clattering in the street caused everyone's heart to jump, snapping everyone out of the fear entrapping them all. They all stared at Stain, who was completely unmoving. His eyes rolled white in unconsciousness, the pain and exhaustion finally taking over his form.

Despite everything, the hero killer was the only one willing to stand and face his foes, not even the lack of consciousness enough to make him fall.

After the police the pro heroes had taken the hero killer into custody, the four teenagers were transported to the hospital in the city for more treatment. Thanks to Katara's healing, most of the major injuries on all of them were already partially mended, shortening the time for operations needed for them. After the incident before Stain passed out, however, most of them could barely sleep, the intensity pouring off him still lingering in their minds.

Three of them laid in a shared recovery room as they were now told to wait for the police to arrive, coming to discuss what comes next for them. Midoriya yawned as he looked over to Katara in the same matching hospital gown he was wearing, still rubbing the wrapped injury above her knee. "Hey, how is your leg feeling?" he asked her.

"A little sore, but not as bad now." She answered with a small smile. She looked over to Tenya in the bed next to her, happy to see him mostly recovered other than the thick bandages over his shoulder and arms. "How about you, are you okay?"

"I will be fine, thank you." Tenya nodded and adjusted in his bed. "I hope Todoroki will be joining us soon."

The smile on Katara's face fell as the sound of his name, looking back to her lap in shame. She froze in that single moment on the street, and left herself defenseless. And yet… Todoroki had pushed her out of the way to safety and put himself at risk. He got hurt because she failed to act. After everything that happened, she wasn't able to heal him before they got separated at the hospital, and she hadn't heard a word since about how his treatment went.

Midoriya noticed the look of worry and exhaled slightly. "He will be okay. H-he is really strong, no way that thing would stop him!"

Katara let out a sigh of worry, sitting in silence for a few moments before the door to the room suddenly opened. She turned to look, feeling her heart jump when she saw a familiar red and white head come through the door. "Todoroki!"

Walking inside the room, Shoto pushed the door open and stepped inside. His face had several bandages on his left right cheek and up his arms, but most of the wraps were focused on his right shoulder and his collarbone. He looked up to see the others all looking at him wide eyed. "You all seem to be alright. "That's good.", he calmly said to them.

Katara swung her legs off the side of the bed, ignoring the soreness as she walked over to him. "I was worried about you. After the doctors took us in, we didn't hear anything about your condition."

"I'm fine, it was just-

"Fine? That thing almost ripped your arm off when…" she held her breath and looked away for a moment. "… when you pushed me out of the way."

Shoto gave a small scowl to her. "It was going to attack you. If I didn't do that, you would have been injured."

She felt her chest warm up to his concern, rubbing her arm and smiling at him. "Well… Thanks for saving me back there."

Shoto gave a small smile back. "You have always helped me, now I should make it up to you and help you in return." He then looked over to Midoriya and nodded. "Sorry that you were the one taken after that."

"It's no big deal," Midoriya chuckled and waved his hand. "I got away so it's all good."

"Because he killed the nomu." Tenya added, the room feeling the tension from his words. "He was able to break free."

Shoto clenched his fist in frustration to the fact that he couldn't avoid. "That man was beyond what I had ever expected. And if he was really trying to kill all of us, it would have been much worse."

"Yeah…" Katara felt her skin shiver from the thought of Stain once more, "I couldn't believe how he could still move like that after that fight."

Midoriya suddenly pictured the end of the fight, the last thing that happened coming back to replay in his mind. The disturbing sight he couldn't forget, and had to know. "Katara. What… what was it that you did to him in the end?"

The air around Katara suddenly felt cold, but she was expecting this to finally happen. She looked around to see not only Midoriya, but the other two staring at her intently. She knew that at this point there was no hiding the truth from them, taking a breath, walking over and sitting on her bed. "That was the most powerful technique I have with waterbending. I wasn't controlling water outside him, though… it was inside."

"Inside?" Tenya tilted his head in confusion. "What do you mean? There isn't-

His eyes widened when he realized what she was talking about, looking back to her in disbelief. "Wait, you mean…"

Midoriya knew immediately as well, the hair on his neck lifting slightly. "The body is made of 60% water. You…"

It took Shoto a moment before he realized as well, his mouth dropping open. "His blood."

Katara clenched her fists together and nodded. "Bloodbending. I controlled the blood inside his body to move him how I wanted. His muscles, his veins… his heart. All of it I can manipulate."

The three other teens stared at her in silence as she revealed her dark art, the trio giving quick glances to one another. Tenya swallowed before speaking. "I have… you can do something like that? But you have never used it before."

She shook her head. "I can't just do it whenever. I can only do it during a full moon, when my power is at its strongest."

"What?" Midoriya raised his eyebrow in confusion. "The full moon?"

Tenya sat open mouthed, losing focus to what she meant. "Wait, I don't understand. What does the full moon have to do with your quirk?"

"I don't have a quirk."

The room was eerily silent after what Katara just said to them, unsure if what they heard was real or not. Shoto stared blankly at her before frowning. "What are you talking about? You can control water."

"Yes. And that isn't a quirk." She stated once again, giving a deep exhale. "It's waterbending. I just said that was my quirk so people wouldn't question it."

Midoriya stared at the blue-eyed girl in absolute disbelief, not able to process what she said. "You… don't have a quirk? B-but how?! You are doing so many amazing abilities! You can create ice and heal with it too!"

"Exactly…" Tenya rubbed his forehead, shaking his head to clear his thoughts. "You had a long night, Katara. We all did. I think you are just exhausted and not thinking clear-

"It's the truth!" She shouted, shocking them all slightly. "I don't have a quirk, and I never have. No one from where I come from has quirks. We are benders."

The way she was phrasing that caught Todoroki's ears, his mind suddenly spinning from the thought that came into his head. "Katara… are you saying you…"

"That I don't come from your world? Yeah…" Katara looked up to everyone's stunned faces, sighing out and chuckling to herself. "Your brother was just as confused."

"What?!" Tenya gasped out. "Tensei… he knew you were an alien?!"

"A what?!" Katara yelped in shock, thinking to that freaky movie she saw with those creatures that burst out of people's chests. "No, I'm not an alien!"

"But you aren't from our world, that means you aren't a human!"

"Are you serious?! I am a person! I was…" Katara rubbed her forehead in frustration before taking a breath. "I come from… another world. There are no quirks in my world, just people who can bend the elements. I am a waterbender, and that's why I can do what I can."

Midoriya's head was a steaming mess as he listened, the information causing his brain to flip inside.
"I-it just seems so crazy. Your power works like a quirk and everything. Are you sure it isn't?"

Katara gave a small nod. "Aizawa Sensei confirmed that. He can't erase my bending."

"Wait, Aizawa Sensei knows about this?" Tenya asked her, shocked their strict teacher apparently knew about this as well.

"Yes, he found out after the USJ. The principal and a few teachers also know now after the news came out. You are the first in the class to find out."

"So, this whole time you were hiding the truth?" Tenya gave a small frown, earning a glare from Katara.

"Oh, sorry I didn't just come in and say 'Hi there, I'm Katara. I come from another world!'" she sarcastically waved her hand at him. "I think saying I came from a small village is easier to swallow."

Tenya was about to retort, but knew she was probably right. How would he have acted if that came out. And… how would the world react? There was already so much talk just about her in Hosu, he couldn't imagine what would be said about this.

As Midoriya gripped his head in confusion, Shoto continued staring at her, not sure if he should believe this or not, but then he remembered something from months back, when he overheard his father ranting after the night she engaged him in Hosu. There was a single word that he remembered him growling out, something that she apparently called him.

"A firebender."

Katara's heart jumped when he said that, looking up to him in bewilderment. "What?"

"I heard my father mention one time to himself that is what you called him."

Tenya looked back and forth between the two of them, and then also remembered what he was told as well. "The hero Manual, he said… you called him a waterbender the first night you showed up, too."

Katara's mouth fell open for a moment before she nodded. "Y-yeah… I thought that's what they were."

"So… that whole story about your village being a place with only people with quirks like you…?" Tenya asked as well.

"That wasn't all a lie." Katara quickly added, "I only said that, but my home where I come from has only people who bend the elements. Air, water, earth, and fire."

Tenya was still hesitant to believe her… but then began understanding why she had no idea about anything here. Technology, culture, or heroes in general. "So those stories you told, about your home, getting attacked and-

"And your mother…"

Katara turned to Todoroki, his eyes no longer filled with confusion… but concern. "That story with your mother… and fire. That all happened?"

The familiar pain rose up in Katara's chest to the statement, giving another nod in response. "Yes. She was killed by the fire nation."

Several minutes passed as Katara told them all her story, for Midoriya the first time about her mother. She told them how her world was at war, how she went on an adventure across the world, and her final moment back in her own world before she woke up here.

"And the next thing I know is… I'm here." She finished, looking at their awestruck faces as they listened to her. Midoriya's head almost seemed to be smoking at this point, while Tenya seemed zoned out in disbelief.

Shoto, however, closed his mouth and looked away. "So, when you saw my father, you thought…"

"Yes, I thought he was fire nation, too." She answered. "I've looked for things that could somehow connect me to my old world, and… nothing. I haven't found anything that mentions anything about where I am from. So… I tried just living here."

"And that's why you have tried to hide these abilities you have," Tenya added, finally understanding. "You knew it would draw more attention to yourself if you have things that are out of the ordinary."

"Yes, and… I didn't want to use it anymore."

Midoriya tilted his head in confusion. "But why? With your healing, that is a great thing. You-

"I'm not talking about my healing. I meant bloodbending." She gripped her shoulder tighter as she thought of it again. "I have tried avoiding it for so long now."

"Avoid it?" Midoriya questioned. "But… why?"

"I hate it, that's why! It's a terrifying power that I wish I had never found! Look what happened when I used it, I almost killed someone with it! No one should have the power to control others like that. It is wrong and I regret to ever have learned it!"

"And you saved all of us with it."

Katara's mouth dropped slightly as she looked back up to Shoto's words, him looking down to the bandages on his arms. "If you hadn't had used your power, it would have been worse for all of us." He added.

Even though she did use it to stop Stain, Katara knew the feeling it put over another person. That twisted and disturbing sensation would never leave her. "It is something I can't stand. I just… I can't keep using it. That's why I promised myself I would never use it again before."

Her words were suddenly sounding very familiar to something Shoto once heard, sighing out and sitting on the bed next to her. "You don't sound like the same girl that faced me in the festival."

She looked over to him in confusion. "What? What is that supposed to mean?"

"You made me open my eyes and see my mistakes for holding back my fire."

She frowned and looked back away. "This is different. What I can do with this is-

"That's your power, yours to choose who you are. If you cannot accept yourself, you'll always be a prisoner." Shoto said, silencing her. "You told me those words."

Her words were stuck on her tongue, unable to say anything to retort her own words. She made him accept himself, and yet she was doing the exact same thing. She looked back to the others, both of them looking at her no longer with the looks of confusion, but support. "You don't… think this power is evil?"

"I mean, any power can be evil." Midoriya added with a smile. "How you use it is what makes it good or bad. You could use it to stop villains before they ever hurt anyone."

"You saved my life, Katara. I don't see that as evil." Tenya said to her.

She sat in silence as they seemed to support her ability, something she never expected. "I don't know. I've never tried using it for… anything really."

"Well, maybe you just need practice then." Midoriya suggested.

Katara was hesitant about how to "practice" bloodbending. "I mean… I can, but it's not like I can just do it on someone. And I can only do it on a full moon."

"I don't understand that…" Shoto rubbed his bandages. "You said in your world you drew power from the moon spirit… but what about here?"

She sat in silence to that question before sighing out in defeat. "I really don't know. I've looked into things here about legends and stuff, I read how people have been on the moon itself and there are no spirits. And yet… every night I feel that same energy from the moon that I always knew of. I just… I really don't get it."

The group stayed quiet for a few minutes as they watched her stirring for answers before the sounds of footsteps caught their attention. The door opened to the room once more, Katara looking over to see Gran Torino entering the room next to… "wait…"

Her eyes widened when she recognized the man walking in with the elderly hero, Manual's eyes locked onto hers as well. "So, we meet again, it seems." He sarcastically asked.

"Uhhh… hi…" She forced out awkwardly, not sure what else to say.

"Gran Torino? What are you doing here?" Midoriya asked as he sat up higher.

The elder man sighed and crossed his short arms. "We had to be here because of you kids. And he wants a word with you."

Katara then noticed the familiar dog head of the police chief, Kenji Tsuragamae. walk in behind the two heroes. Her heart skipped a beat as the dog man's eyes locked right onto her. "So, we meet again, Katara. It has been quite sometime."

Midoriya's mouth fell open in shock and looked to his friend. "Katara, you know the police chief?!" he gasped.

She rubbed her arm awkwardly and shifted in her spot. "Yeah… we met once."

"Hmm… it seems to be that Hosu is a place where you like to be, young lady." Kenji grunted and walked forward to the others, looking at all of their injuries. "Well, it appears you kids had quite the night. You ended up facing a true criminal."

Tenya looked down in shame, knowing he was the one who led everyone into that alley. He looked back up as the chief scratched his nose.

"The police has restrained the hero killer and taken him into custody. It was quite fortunate you kids were not seriously hurt. However… we have to now discuss what is to happen to you now for what occurred."

The group of teens looked to one another in confusion. "Sir, what do you mean?" Tenya asked.

"You all know the rules set in place for quirks; only those who have licenses can use their abilities in public. Therefore… it is against the law for unlicensed people to use their quirks on others. Woof."

"What?" Katara gasped, remembering the scolding she received after helping that boy months ago.

Kenji's blank expression didn't change even to the shocked looks he received. "These laws were created to keep the peace and order in the streets. Whether or not you were facing up against the hero killer, you did not have the authority to harm him with your quirks. Therefore, punishments are to be given out to Gran Torino, Manual and Endeavor for the rules you have broken."

"What?!" Shoto shouted in disbelief.

"You can't be serious!" Katara glared up at the tall chief. "He was attacking us and tried killing my friends! How can you say we couldn't stop him?! Iida was the one who saved the other hero!"

Kenji narrowed his eyes down at the waterbender. "Using powers on another person is a serious offense, especially one as deadly as what Native told me you performed."

Katara's heart raced at his statement, realizing the hero they saved had told about her bloodbending.

"Hold on…" Shoto stood up, scowling at the chief. "If Katara didn't stop the hero killer, he would have ended up killing both Iida and Native. She is the one who saved all of us. Are you saying we are supposed to just sit and watch others die?"

"Are you saying it's okay to break the law as long as it works out for you?"

"What? Isn't it a hero's job to save others?!" Shoto growled out in anger, earning a sigh from the chief.

"This is why you kids aren't pros yet. You should have Endeavor teach you more discipline."

Shoto gritted his teeth in anger at that statement. "You damn mutt. I can't believe you-

"Of course… punishment would only come if this were to go public." the chief chimed in, earning another round of confused looks from the teens. "Even if we announced what happened, most people would probably voice out their support for what you did. And due to the burns the hero killer received, we can announce that Endeavor was the one who brought him into justice. You kids will not receive any commendation for what happened unfortunately… but that means no mark will be put onto your records."

Katara's mouth hung open in confusion once again, the sudden change in the chief's tone throwing her off. "Wh-what? But… you just said how-

"Native also stated that while your quirk seemed dangerous… he requested you weren't punished for the fact of saving his life." A small smirk grew on the chief's face. "I would hate to ruin the chances for a group of growing heroes, especially ones who have done such great things."

The weight in Katara's shoulder seemed to vanish suddenly, the fact they weren't going to be in trouble now giving them all relief. "I… Thank you."

Tenya took a deep breath and walked up to Manual and gave a deep bow. "Please forgive me, sir. I caused so much trouble for you."

Manual chuckled and gave a small chop to the back of the teen's head. "You caused me a lot of grief, kid. But… Glad you are fine now." He looked over to the waterbender behind and sighed out. "Well, I'll be honest and say we didn't start on the right foot, but after what happened last night… I think I can give you a pass for freezing me."

Katara blushed slightly and rubbed her head. "Sorry about that."

Kenji then was the one who lowered himself into a deep bow. "Despite everything that happened to you all, let me be the one to say thank you for what you did."

Shoto grunted and looked away. "You could have started with that then."

Katara sighed at his comment, agreeing with him, but exhaled in relief to the outcome.

Midoriya giggled and rubbed his head. "I guess we are good now."

Gran Torino snickered and tapped his foot. "You youngsters sure are a handful. Consider you all lucky it all turned out alright."

As the others chatted for a few moments, Kenji stared down at Katara for a moment before turning to the two pros. "Well, now that we have finished that, there are a few things I must discuss in private now."

"Hmm. Alright then." Gran Torino grunted and looked to Midoriya, the two staring at each other for several seconds.

"Who are you again?" Torino happily asked.

"Why do you keep doing that?!" Midoriya yelped in confusion, watching as the older pro walked out. "I don't get him sometimes."

After the two pros walked out, the chief continued staring at the teens. "Actually, I need to speak to Katara in private."

While the others were confused, Katara knew exactly what he was referring to, taking a breath and standing straight. "They can stay, sir."

"I think it is best that they let us speak. There are-

"They can stay." Katara said once more, staring right at the chief.

Just from the look in her eyes, Kenji narrowed his gaze and sighed. "So, they know as well, I assume?"

Midoriya rubbed his head and looked away awkwardly. "Y-yeah, she just told us."

Katara nodded. "I couldn't lie to them, especially after last night."

Looking to the others, the chief could tell they weren't confused to what she meant, seeing she was telling the truth. He grunted and crossed his arms. "So, now we have more people that know who you really are. This is becoming a common thing it seems."

"I haven't told anyone else." Katara frowned at him.

"I believe you, but Aizawa contacted me after the news story broke, and explained how some of the teachers know, too." Kenji reached up and scratched his nose. "We might as well do a press conference and announce yourself to the world."

The wide eyes of shock Katara gave to his statement made Kenji raise his eyebrows. "I was being sarcastic. Let's just try and keep the numbers of people knowing this to a minimum. Even though your friends now know, I'll still include about keeping this secret from as many as you can."

"It's not as easy as it looks, you know…" Katara crossed her arms in annoyance, earning a chuckle from the dog man.

"I have no doubt, especially being close to people you care about. The truth will eventually slip out as some point. But I wanted to say that I am very surprised to what you have done since appearing."

"What do you mean?" Katara asked.

"Hmm, well, let's just start with attending UA academy, you were involved in a villain attack at the school, and helped others bring down the hero killer. Quite the resume for any teenager, especially one who suddenly arrived. But to all of you…" Kenji looked to the four kids in total. "I hope you all can try and keep each other safe. These are dangerous times and we need strong kids like you… no matter where they come from."

Katara couldn't help but smile hearing that, feeling fully accepted by not only the police, but her friends even after they learned her truth. Her worry that they would be cautious or even afraid was her own doubt scaring her. She was glad she met people who cared for her for who she was.

"Oh, by the way, to Katara and Iida… there was someone who wanted to say something to you two."

The pair of them looked at each other in confusion, turning back forward to see the door open once more. When it did, however, both of their hearts stopped beating in shock, seeing someone they didn't expect come inside on a wheelchair.
