Omake 2: On Ghosts and Magical Girls
"Hey, Author-san. It's been a while since we had an omake."
Eh?
Takeru and Emu were standing in the middle of the Elevator sitting room, holding their scripts once again. They were looking up and speaking to some imaginary person-
"We're talking to you." Emu interrupted.
Oh, right, 4th Wall Breaks.
"Weren't we supposed to have an Omake after the Second Floor? I mean, that was what I was expecting."
Ah, right. I wanted to get to the Third Chapter as quickly as possible. You see, it was the floor which inspired me to put you and Takeru into this world. You know, Alice being a ghost who normal people can't see, but also being like a data entity with a non-human AI friend who's like the personification of a form of children's entertainment (video games for Parado and children's stories for Nursery Rhyme). I've also been busy with other stuff.
"At least you're doing one now." Takeru muttered.
"Speaking of similarities, in the last Omake, Drake said that my show ripped off some other Fate series called Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya. I understand that she was accusing my show of being derivative, but I've never heard of Prisma Illya. What did she mean?"
"Funny you should ask."
Suddenly a silvered wall appeared across the centre of the room, scaring Takeru and Emu out of their seats. Out of the wall stepped out a man wearing a pink-
"It's magenta!" the newcomer interrupted.
Oh, sorry - magenta shirt beneath a black blazer.
"Who the hell are you?" Emu asked the newcomer.
"Oh, I'm just a passing through Kamen Rider. Name's Tsukasa Kadoya, or Kamen Rider Decade. I was called here by Author-san to help with this Omake. I heard you wanted to know what Prisma Illya was, right?"
Takeru nodded
"Why don't I introduce you to someone who knows?"
He raised his hand.
Another silvered wall appeared, and this time, it started to move backwards. As it moved, it revealed a new figure. It appeared to be an elementary school girl with silver hair.
The girl, who had been facing the opposite direction of Takeru and Emu, turned around.
"Huh?"
Her hair was cover in foamy suds, and so was her-
Oh shit.
-naked body.
"KYAAAH! PERVERTS!" The girl screamed, covering her chest with her arms and turning away in embarrassment.
Emu and Takeru also screamed, quickly shielding their eyes.
"What the hell?!" cried Emu at the man who had brought her here.
"Ah, whoops." The man only replied, turning away. "I think this calls for some assistance."
At that moment, a circular object with wings and a star in the middle flew out from behind the girl.
"That's my cue!" A high-pitched girl's voice emitted from the object. "Illya, time to transform!"
A stick emerged from the underside of the circular object, which the girl took hold of.
"Maximising Mirror World connections! Let's save this innocent girl's dignity!"
There was a flash of pink light as the girl was encased in a glowing pink ball. Music started playing from out of nowhere as the ball spun around.
"Yes, yes! Let's get you dressed up for these lovely gentlemen." The voice continued from within. "Oh, yes! Very pretty! You'll make an excellent first impression!"
Finally, after around half a minute of the music playing, the ball vanished, revealing the same girl, now wearing a Magical Girl outfit, clutching the object in her hand tightly. Her face was bright red.
"I don't know which is more embarrassing." The girl muttered. "This outfit or being naked."
"You can look now, you two." Tsukasa said, turning back around. Takeru and Emu obliged.
"I'm sorry about that." Tsukasa apologised to the girl. "This wouldn't have happened in someone…" He glared at the object. "…didn't signal me to pick her up at such an inconvenient time."
"Hehe. I was just having some fun." The object giggled, moving from side to side. "It's been a while since you transformed naked in front of someone, eh, Illya?"
"Shut up!" Illya cried, clutching her eyes shut. "I never wanted this! Where the hell am I?"
"You are in the Moon Cell in the year 2030." Tsukasa explained, pacing around the room. "I brought you here through a dimensional portal to tell them about your adventures. I'm sorry about the whole 'Bringing you here while you were taking a bath' thing; Ruby here was supposed to signal me a good time when no one was looking to bring you here. I never expected her to be so mischievous."
"Oh please, you're making me blush." The object, whose name is apparently Ruby, replied. Takeru and Emu could see blush markings on its circular part. Was it her face?
"Anyways." Tsukasa continued. "Inconvenient entrance aside, you wanted to know why Drake said that your show ripped off Prisma Illya, right, Takeru?" Takeru nodded. Illya was confused.
"Wait, what do you mean?"
"Oh, a Heroic Spirit we fought against reappeared in an Omake and told me that my show ripped off yours. Apparently, our stories are similar." Takeru explained.
"Similar? In what ways?" Illya asked.
"Right." Tsukasa interrupted. "First things first. Why don't you introduce yourself, Illya?"
And so, with a quiet voice, Illya began telling her backstory.
"My… my name is Illyasviel von Einzbern. I was just an ordinary elementary school girl, but then this stick appeared to me one day and cajoled me into becoming a Magical Girl. I then met some girl named Rin who forced me to collect Class Cards for her, and then I met another Magical Girl who was doing the same thing for another girl. The story's really long, though."
Then, Takeru stepped forward.
"My name is Tenkuji Takeru. On my 18th birthday, I was killed by rampaging Ghost monster called the Ganma. In order to come back to life, I became Kamen Rider Ghost and began gathering the Eyecons of Heroic Spirits to make a wish upon the Great Eye. It's nice to meet you, Illya-san."
He held out his hand, and Illya shook it tentatively.
"I see… the Cards I was collecting also had the souls of Heroic Spirits in them as well."
From a pouch on her inner left thigh she pulled out 7 Heroic Spirit Class Cards, each with a different image on them. Takeru also took out the Eyecons he collected.
"And Rin told me that when I collected the cards, I could make a wish upon the Holy Grail…"
Exactly, you two.
Illya recoiled in shock.
"Who's there?!" She shouted, looking for the source of the voice.
Oh, right. I forgot to introduce myself to you. I'm the writer of this little crossover series, and this is a Fourth Wall-breaking Omake. You can call me Author-san. I sent Decade to pick you up so that I could compare your story and Ghost's story.
"So it was your fault for writing that I came in the story naked! What kind of twisted human are you!?" Illya screamed.
Come on. It's exactly the kind of thing Ruby would do. Anyways, we're getting sidetracked. Decade, if you please.
Decade sighed and walked over to the TV, turning it on. The image on the screen showed Kamen Rider Ghost and Prisma Illya side by side. Everyone else took a seat on the couch.
"Where's Saber?" Takeru asked.
Oh, right.
Saber walked in from the baths, and luckily, she had already manifested her clothes.
"Umu? What's this? Who is this handsome stranger? And who's that girl?" Saber asked.
I'll explain later. Come had a seat.
"Are we watching a movie?"
Not really.
"Nonetheless, I shall observe."
She walked over to the couch and sat next to Emu.
Let's get the obvious out of the way, then. Both of you are Transforming Heroes who are part of a larger franchise with red-based colours.
"I mean, I guess." Takeru noted. "My series is part of the larger Kamen Rider series, and given the name of Illya's show, she is also part of the Fate universe. Also, I'm orange and she's pink, which are both compound colours of red."
"Yeah." Illya agreed. "Although I'm sort of resigned to a strange corner of it."
Both of your series have Heroic Spirits of myths and legend as sources of power which you wield in the form of different costumes over your base costume. First, let's look at Takeru's transformations.
The TV cut to the scene on the Third Floor where Saber, Ex-Aid and Ghost were fighting the monster for the first time. They watched Ghost's transformation (which admittedly is a pain to describe) into Ore Damashii as well as into Robin Hood Damashii
"Your transformation is a lot quicker than mine." Illya commented. "And much less embarrassing. I feel slightly jealous. I have to reveal so much skin every time I transform."
"Aw, come on, Illya, it's great! The viewers love your costume! It's exactly the kind of thing they're into." Ruby said
"That's the problem though…" Illya muttered.
"Anyways, let's show them what you can do!" Ruby exclaimed.
The screen changed to Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya, when Illya was fighting Saber Alter.
On the screen, Illya picked up the Archer Class Card and knelt on the floor. A magical circle manifested on the floor as a duplicate circle slowly rose from the ground.
"Install" Illya said.
Beams of blue light flew out from the circles as Illya was covered in red flames. The beams reversed and converged at the centre as the flames dispersed to reveal a red and black outfit. As the magic circles faded, a steel bow appeared in her hands.
Takeru clapped.
"It's a lot flashier." He said. "By the way, which Heroic Spirit is that?"
It's complicated.
"Eh?"
Never mind.
Anyways, back to the similarities.
The image on the TV changed to a picture of the Great Eye and the Holy Grail side by side.
As you both said, you need to collect your respective items to make a wish on an omnipotent device. Interestingly, said device has an evil corrupted version who is voiced by the same person, Sayaka Ohara.
The image changed to the Great Eyezer, the final boss of Ghost, and Irisviel's Dark Grail form.
"Mom?!" Illya shouted in horror.
That is an alternate continuity, though. Your mother became the Grail in Fate/Zero, and thus was corrupted by Angra Mainyu. Funnily enough, Takeru, your mother at one time was voiced by her too.
"When?"
Episode 32, when you heard the voice of your mother for a moment. At least, that's what it says on the Kamen Rider Wiki. Unfortunately, she's physically played by someone different.
"Still, that's kind of weird…" Illya said.
As well as that, your fathers are not present in the series, and it turns out that they were involved in this Heroic Spirit business about 10 years before the start of the series.
Ryu Tenkuji and Emiya Kiritsugu appeared on screen.
"Oh yeah, Mom told me that Dad was working somewhere else in the world, which is why I'm living in Japan with Sella and Leysritt." Illya commented. "What about yours?"
"My Dad's dead." Takeru replied.
This caused an awkward silence between the two for a moment. Emu shifted on his seat.
"Oh… I'm so sorry." Illya apologised meekly.
"Don't be. It was 10 years ago, and he still helped me during my fight with the Toucon Boost Damashii. It's my Father's soul."
Oh, right. Illya, you have the Archer Class Card, right? Which contains the soul of your older brother, Emiya.
"Eh?! Really?" Illya exclaimed.
Anyways, let's continue.
You both like Musashi in some way.
"Really? You too?" Takeru excitedly asked.
Illya had a blush on her face.
"Well, technically yes. There's this magical girl show in my world called Magical Bushido Musashi, but I guess you like the actual historical figure, right?"
Takeru nodded.
You also have a secondary character with a similar powerset but a different colour. Both are blue, right?
The TV changed to show a picture of Kamen Rider Specter and Miyu.
They also come from a different dimension, and they may have a bit of a sibling complex.
"Really?" Takeru asked. "What's a sibling complex?"
Essentially, it's when they have a bit of an obsession over their sibling. Illya here-
"No! Stop! Stop! Stop!" Illya shouted. "Please don't reveal it! Please!"
Fine.
Takeru looked a bit lost.
Let's move on, then.
Your enemies also come from a different dimension, the same dimension where the power sources came from.
The TV changed to show the Ganma World and Miyu's world.
"Your alternate dimension looks normal." Takeru noted.
"And yours look strange." Illya responded.
Your enemy is a noble family with a patriarch and three children, one of which is an enforcer, and one of the children ends up being the true head of the family.
The TV changed to show the Ganma family and the Ainsworths.
I could go on for much longer, but you get the general idea, so I'm going to leave off with one more. Both of you get into a relationship with someone named Chloe.
This one surprised Takeru and Illya.
"Really?" Takeru asked. "I mean, I met her in the Ganma World, but I didn't really get into a relationship with her."
In the future, at least. Ayumu's your son.
"So Illya's soulmate is also called Chloe? That's quite intriguing."
"It's a really strange coincidence." Illya agreed. "I mean, whoever wrote your show is either extremely lucky or watches my show."
You may not be far off, Illya. Guess what other Kamen Rider show he's writing now.
Illya tilted her head.
Kamen Rider Saber.
At the mention of her name, Saber, who had been starting to dozing off, perked right up.
"Umu! Did they finally recognise my brilliance and cast me as the newest hero of the Kamen Rider Franchise?" she smugly exclaimed, getting up from her seat.
No, Saber. But given the main character uses stories as his power-ups, he must have at least heard of Fate.
Saber sat down disappointed.
Right, then. So, what do you think, Takeru?
Takeru pondered for a moment.
"I do think it's interesting that both of our shows share so many similarities." He started. "But I don't think it's fair yet to say that my show ripped off Illya's. I mean, it may not be a one-to-one comparison, as far as I can tell, and the similarities are fairly common plot points in a lot of shows."
"True." Illya agreed. "Having someone only point out the similarities leaves out a lot of the nuances and differences between the shows."
"There is one important thing though," interrupted Tsukasa. "Your show stole the card thing from me."
He pulled out his Ride Booker and showed Illya his Kamen Ride cards. Each one had an image of a past Kamen Rider, along with some other markings on the cards which Illya couldn't make head or tails of.
"Ooh. I wonder if I can install them." Illya wondered.
"Maybe in the future, I can let you try, though I'm not sure what the effects would be." Tsukasa replied. "Speaking of which, you could try installing one of Takeru's Eyecons. Your systems just might be compatible. Right, Ruby?"
"I dunno." Ruby admitted. "I myself don't know my full capabilities. But we don't have time."
Illya couldn't see where she had gone, though her voice seemed to be behind her. Was she moving to avoid being seen?
"I should maybe watch your show to see what it's like." Takeru suggested.
"Please don't." Illya said, turning to Takeru with a pleading look in her eyes. "I've already suffered enough embarrassment today."
"Huh?" Takeru asked.
Takeru, there is one big difference between your two shows.
"What's that?"
The target audience. Your show is mainly aimed at kids, and is marketed as such. Whereas Illya, well…
A montage of scene started showing on the TV. All of them involving Illya. All of them extremely embarrassing and lewd. There was Illya in the bath. Illya in her Beast Style outfit. Illya almost molesting Miyu in her maid outfit. Miyu and Chloe making out while Illya watched. And much more.
Takeru recoiled in shock, and Illya's face turned bright red.
"Please stop this!" she shouted, running to the TV and covering it with her body. "I didn't want to be put in those humiliating situations! I had no control over them! I'm not a deviant."
"Author-san, what is this?!"
What, didn't the setup of her appearing naked at first tell you what kind of show she was from?
"I thought it was a mistake!" Takeru shouted. "Turn it off!"
The TV turned off. Illya collapsed on the floor, breathing hard.
"I'm sorry, Illya. I didn't know." Takeru walked over to help her up.
"No, it's alright. You seem like a nice person with good morals, at least." Illya responded, getting up onto her feet. "It was nice meeting you, but I think it's time for me to go now. Ruby?"
Ruby, who had been recording the whole thing with a video camera, poked her head out from behind it.
"What's that?"
"RUBY! DID YOU RECORD THE WHOLE THING? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT?!"
"Well, I know some site where this could go for good cash…" Ruby replied mischeviously.
"Give it here!" Illya shouted, running after Ruby.
"Right, time for you to go, Illya. Sorry for all that." The man who had brought Illya here in the first place got up and raised his hand.
"Wha-"
Before she could finish her sentence, a silvery wall appeared again, through which Ruby and Illya entered. As the wall moved forwards, the man stepped through, before the wall disappated.
Takeru, Emu and Saber sat silently for a moment.
"What a cute kid." Emu said. "I feel quite bad for her. It seems she's quite unlucky like me."
"Why didn't you say much, Emu?" asked Takeru.
"I thought it was between you two, so I left you be." Emu responded. "Besides, Author-san didn't think I'd add much, since we were comparing your shows. Saber didn't get to do much either."
"Admittedly true, but alas, the beautiful flower that is Illya left before I could talk to her." Saber chimed in. "Her magical dress was very pretty, too. Should I change my outfit to match hers?"
Sorry, Saber. None of this is canon.
"Aww." Saber's face fell.
"Well, at least I got to finally find out what Prisma Illya is. I'd probably steer away from it for now, but it seems like it won't be the last time someone compares the two." Takeru commented. "By the way, Emu. Have you seen that kind of show before?"
"Eh?" Emu looked a bit confused. "Not really."
He didn't want to admit it, but he had seen similar shows like Prisma Illya before, but telling Takeru that might not go down well given what they had just seen regarding Prisma Illya's more risqué moments.
Just then, Rin entered from the inner rooms.
"Rin, where were you? We just met someone from another show." Emu asked.
"Oh, sorry, but I was advised by the author to hide for the duration of this omake. Apparently there's another version of me in her world, so he didn't want me to be recognised. That would have made things complicated. Totally not because he forgot that this Omake was supposed to be after the Second Floor when Rin was present."
Yeah, sorry about that, Emu.
Well then. I'll see you four next chapter. And remember, none of this is canon. This has in no ways any impact on the storyline currently running. Just some fun.
