Hello to all, this is Episode 19 of the second Arc of Volume 5: à La Mode l'entrée!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 5: Episode 19: School Experiment! The Courage to Become More!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Ichigo resumed her training with Berry though the young girl had been having doubts after the many fights she's already been in. It was then Jenny called needing Ichigo's help with new eyes and hands in uncovering the real identities on the Saint Rose Crusaders. Ichigo agreed dragging Berry with her having a feeling Jenny could help her too. The girls, with the information Jenny gathered, found 4 boys who matched certain traits to each Crusader they've encountered but not why they are doing here. Jenny came to the conclusion that likely the Crusaders are leaded by someone.
It was also when Jenny saw Berry's self-doubt if she could even be a Mew Mew but the older Mutou sibling saw it otherwise, seeing that Berry has potential but she needed to believe in herself. However as Jenny was getting a possible lead, Royal Highness appeared with Happy Child having been keep an eye on their attempt to learn their identities and had a Chimera to eliminate them. The girls transformed to fight the Chimera though struggle. Mew Plum, however, didn't give up though, wishing to make Berry see that potential and defeated the monster with her full power. The crusaders retreated having done their job but Jenny wasn't defeated yet while Berry started to believe.
… And that old woman who Ichigo had confronted a few times is aware of her as a Mew Mew to Ichigo's concerns.
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... a few days later since the previous episode:
Having just woken up on her bed, Berry stares up at the ceiling with an empty mind wearing her cute yellow-white pajamas.
Today no training with Ichigo since she wants Berry to just relax and be normal. Easier said than done but she's thankful. Still, Berry still isn't convinced that she's mastered or trained enough. She's met and fought beside all the Mew Mews and yet she's not certain in her own potential. All she's done is get better with her abilities and fighting prowess but that's it.
Still, each of them left a message in her heart to not give up. Jenny's words still echo in her mind when she thought that she can't do this anymore.
"Believe in myself.'' Berry says those very words in her mind. Is that the key to unlocking her true potential? Will that… help her move on pass her mother's death?
Berry checks the clock and sighs needing to focus.
''I gotta get ready for school.'' She tells herself getting off her bed to take a shower after she does her bed.
After washing up and getting fully dress in her school uniform, Berry leaves her room to the kitchen where her father has been baking pancakes. Her father had long blond hair with a bright smile all over his face. He turns seeing his daughter and greets her. Berry blushes as the two had their breakfast like always.
''Berry dear.'' Her father begins saying with Berry responding eyeing him. ''Yes Papa?''
Her father could tell his daughter has been slightly troubled especially when she told him she got a part-time job. He was surprised she even got one no less how the place accepted her but honestly he's relieve, wanting his daughter to experience the world more than ever.
''How are you doing? I mean with your job.'' He asks her wondering if she's doing in her waitress job. Berry blushes nodding though she does apologized for that decision. ''Sorry again about the job Papa but well things happen and well they hired me without me doing the interview. And everyone there is really nice and cute, getting to know them.''
He smiles happy to hear that as he states. ''I see you've made interesting friends. And don't worry, I'm glad to see you being more active but I am happy. Tasuku was worry you weren't doing well.''
Berry blushes figuring as much with the number of times he's asked about her job.
''He worries too much Papa… But I'm glad that he does worry.'' She says blushing as she thinks about her friend. Her father agrees with a smile, knowing better than anyone that Tasuku is like part of the family for the longest. That and how he worries for Berry more than himself.
Berry checks the time and panics telling her father as she tells him. ''I better eat these pancakes before I go.''
He smiles responding. ''That's my girl.''
She blushes eating the pancakes with such delight. After so she says her goodbyes to her father and runs off all while her father waves goodbye. Berry secretly frowns sadden on how kind her father is… and how they both miss mom.
''Papa, you try your hardest to make me smile…'' Berry begins telling her mentally, trying her hardest to not shed a tear adding. ''I wish Mama was here with us.''
As soon as Berry leaves her home, Tasuku arrives up to her on his skates and the two travels together. Tasuku always does this wanting to make sure Berry always arrives to her school. He didn't care about getting late to his as long as Berry is safe. That and he likes going with her.
''So um…'' Tasuku begins muttering to get attention. Berry does facing him with a puzzle look. He blushes redder having seen her in her waitress outfit the other day and well, he was taken back by it. Very beautiful. He wants to tell her his feelings but he didn't want to sound weird about it.
''… Your waitress outfit looked great on you!'' Tasuku finally speaks up still blushing. Berry blinks surprised before smiling brightly.
''Thank you Tasuku-kun.'' She tells him appreciative for him… and then she looks down sad. Berry wants to tell Tasuku everything about the Mew Mew thing, wanting his input on what she should do but she can't. She was told to keep this a secret no matter what but she needs help.
Tasuku notices her worrying face and asks concern for her as he holds her hand. ''You okay?''
Berry gasps blushing redder by this and responds with a big smile. ''I'm fine!''
He blinks and just nods though he can tell something is still bothering her.
Soon the two arrives to the gate of the school, saying their goodbyes.
''I'll pick you up after classes.'' Tasuku vows with a big grin while pointing his thumb to his face. Berry sweat drops telling him politely. ''You don't have to.''
Immediately Tasuku protests passionate. ''I DO! Berry… I lo-''
He chokes up seeing her face. Tasuku hesitates to tell her about his feelings. He coughs and instead says with a smile. ''I'll always pick you up. Always.''
Berry just blushes silently. Walking up to the gate, she twirls and winks at her telling him. ''I'm off! See you later!''
Tasuku nods blushing. Berry giggles heading towards the school on her end. He sighs as he skates off.
''Come on Tasuku, you know you want to tell her how you feel about her. So why freeze up!'' Tasuku yells at himself for how much of a scaredy cat he is. He wants to be close to Berry, that's all and he can't even do that right.
He sighs defeated as he has to hurry back to his school. However he then spots a strange van park just near the gate of Berry's school. He stops, staring at it from a distant wondering why that's there. Just then the roof of the van opens up and a satellite-like device emerges out of it, pointing towards the school.
Tasuku drops his jaw slightly rushing behind a tree. He then sees 4 strange boys walking out of the van with one of them speaking to the monocle top hat guy. ''So this is the plan Royal Highness?''
Tasuku watches overhearing the best he could as that same guy tells the rest of the group. ''As order by the Duke, this school will be the first for our experiment.''
He then raises his hand towards the device as it starts glowing. Tasuku widens his eyes as some kind of energy starts building up. The other boys smirk with the monocle one declaring with a smug smirk. ''Now let us check on our experiment.''
The four boys walk towards the school with the monocle one waving his hand as all four of them leaps over the gate. Tasuku drops his jaw literally as the four lands on the other side and proceed walking towards the school. And it only got worse as a bunch of large monster-like creatures suddenly appear from the sky and join the 4 towards the school.
Tasuku comes out from his hiding spot, more than terrified. Immediately worrying about Berry's safety, he has to do something. But he's just a kid and those guys seem really strong. He should get someone to help. Okay but who? Clearly not the police, they won't believe him.
Wishing he knew the number of that Ichigo girl, Tasuku stakes to the school needing to protect Berry. Watching him though above a light pole, Shadow Knight observes with his arms crossed. The masked knight then leaps, his long trench coat ends wrapping him and soon POOF vanished.
Berry was having her first class normally until suddenly she hears a strange sound. She blinks turning and it was seemingly nothing. However everyone else including the teacher, started to stand up and walk out of the class.
''Um everyone, where are we going?'' Berry asks thinking she didn't pay attention. However no one answer her.
''Weird.'' Berry mutters confused by this. Ucha pops out from her bag, correcting her. ''Not weird dummy, very weird.''
''Ucha!'' She utters in alarm that he pop out, meaning this was no good. Ucha begins to tell her detecting multiple energies. ''I detect something unnatural coursing through this whole building as well as Chimera Animas.''
''WAIT WHAT?! And why are we okay?'' Berry shouts in terror but leaning more towards how they seem to be okay. Ucha sighs at her overreaction and explains. ''It doesn't seem to affect hybrids and robots.''
Berry blinks seemingly confused until she gasps and realizes she is a hybrid, Mew Mew and all.
Ucha nods advising her while flying over her. ''Let's go find out what's going on dummy.''
''R-right…'' Berry responds unease about this but she has to try to figure out what has happened to everyone else. The two head off to see what is going on, forgetting to contact for help.
Already at their school and on a break, Yugi and Ichigo were alone on top of the roof of the school. The tricolor head eyes the quiet red cherry head, able to tell she's not her usually peppy self. She looks like in deep thought, thinking about something.
''You okay Ichigo-kun?'' He asks her causing Ichigo to snap out from her thoughts, uttering out in alarm. ''Huh? Yea Nya.''
Ichigo still frowns worried about that elderly woman who without a doubt knows who she is, but did she?
''That old lady was really weird Nya. Did she really saw us transform?'' Ichigo questions unease. That lady is so mysterious but most of all ominous. She isn't sure how to put it but it scares Ichigo.
''Ichigo-kun?'' Yugi speaks up worry by her face. Once more Ichigo snaps out and replies in a peppy tone. ''Nothing! Just stuff Nya.''
Yugi groans not so convinced.
''You have other stuff to worry about.'' A voice suddenly speaks up to the two. Yugi and Ichigo turn around and see the long coated, full helm masked individual standing next to them over the guardrails of the rooftop.
''Shadow Knight-kun!'' Yugi utters out surprised to see him here. Ichigo then asks confusion. ''Why are you here Nya?''
Shadow Knight turns to the red pigtailed girl and warns her with a calm, sincere voice. ''Your new fellow Mew Mew is about to face a fight she can't win right now.''
Ichigo slowly panics and yells out. ''Berry-kun is in trouble then Nya?!''
The masked knight nods firmly. She frowns scared, needing to go but she can't leave. If she does, her father will get mad and she can't just explain a friend needed saving.
''I'll go then.'' Ichigo startles turning to the tricolor head answering with a small smile. She eyes him astonished, asking him. ''You sure Yugi-kun?''
Yugi winks as he can make a Dragon Clone to sub himself for classes. That and he should do more to help Ichigo with Berry after what she told him and even Jenny. He understands Berry's worries.
''Yup! I got this!'' Yugi responds certain about it. Ichigo blushes appreciating all he does and nods trusting him.
''Be careful though Nya.'' She beseeches to him, not wanting him to get hurt. The tricolor head nods promises as he heads off, leaping off the rooftop.
Ichigo looks up about to ask Shadow Knight on why he told them this only for the knight to have disappeared. She sweat drops at how weird that guy is, but at least he's a good guy.
Berry and Ucha investigate stealthily, watching the other students and teachers just standing on rows of file lines, mindless and silent almost like statues.
Gulping, Berry is reminded of that movie that she and Tasuku watch the other day. It wasn't fun or exciting.
''This is frightening…'' She mutters trembling. ''Almost like they're under a trance of sorts.''
Ucha's eyes glow scanning the group from his end and announces from its analyzed. ''Yes they are, dummy. I have scanned them and confirm their brainwaves are altered, meaning they are indeed hypnotized.''
Berry blushes how fast Ucha processes all of that. The small robot eyes her and advises. ''Best you transform in case the situation gets out of hand dummy.''
''…'' Berry frowns silent, hesitating. How can she transform and fix things alone? She always had at least Ichigo with her but without her right now, she isn't sure anymore.
''Dummy?'' Ucha utters to get her to notice him but she was stiff like a statue. Berry couldn't, barely shaking her head. She pulls out her phone and tries sending a text to Ichigo for help.
''Come on…'' She mutters typing fast and sends it… only for her sent message not reaching: No signal.
This leaves the young girl with a pale expression, realizing she's the only one then and that scares her. Berry trembles, breathing heavily.
''I-I can't…'' Berry starts uttering too scare to even focus, almost like a panic attack. ''H-how am I supposed to fight alone? I'm… I'm…''
Ucha watches scanning her and confirming she's breaking apart mentally. Just then she has a flashback of a tomb and it terrifies Berry with widen eyes. She gasps focusing and shouts to herself, encouraging her to not break. ''No, I can do this, I must be perfect!''
Ucha gets alarmed by her shouting, telling her to stop. ''Hey, calm down or-''
''What do we have here?'' Berry and Ucha becomes alarm turning and she panics as it was all four Saint Rose Crusaders staring down at them. Berry panics leaping away, distancing herself from them.
"You guys!'' She yells out in shock, now grasping who's behind this.
"It seems you were right targeting this place Royal.'' Happy Child says to their superior while Blue Bayou adds with a smug smirk. ''Yea, we get to slay the weakest Mew Mew!''
Sweet Juliet agreeing she will die here. Berry gulps even more terrified, knowing she has to fight now.
Will Berry really be okay on her own or will Yugi get there on time?
Commercial Break:
Berry: I-I have to beat them and prove myself! I need to be perfect, so I have to fight!
Yugi: I hope I can make it. Please be alright Berry-kun.
Berry trembles, trying her best to not breathe too hard but she can't help it. Even her heart is beating loudly.
She tries to be strong as Royal Highness can see through her disguise and comments with a smug smirk. "You're careless girl. Almost like you want to die.''
''I-I'm not afraid!'' Berry responds pulling out her Mew Pendant, hand shaking as she tries to grip her wrist to calm her down. She breathes deeply, shouting as she gives a peck kiss on her pendant. "Mew Mew Berry, Metamorphose!"
The item shines and wraps its energy, transforming her into her Mew form. Mew Berry faces them still look scared.
"You're going to fight us, alone?'' Blue Bayou questions almost not even interest in fighting her. Sweet Juliet sighs with Happy Child adding with a laugh. ''Boy you're really stupid!''
''N-not stupid, determined!'' Mew Berry corrects him staring as serious as she could be. Royal Highness snaps his fingers as different Chimera Animas appear and they all come at her.
Mew Berry immediately follows her instincts, leaping off her feet to bounce around the monsters' attacks. She does her best to evade swipes, thrusts, punches, bites, anything that would otherwise put her down.
Ucha observes as it advises her as she distant herself from them. ''You have to attack sometime dummy.''
Mew Berry groans still trembling but nods leaping back into the chimeras and performs powerful double kick hops while scratching a few like a cat, a trick she learn watching Ichigo fight. She did better than what the crusaders expected but Royal Highness could see she won't win like that.
''Meaningless. You can't hope to stop us.'' He declares as he raises his hand and unleashes a telekinesis wave, pushing Mew Berry into the wall. She screams dropping hard on the ground outside, grunting weakly. Ucha actually shows concern flying right to her, slamming itself on her had to get up now.
Mew Berry groans too scared to move, thinking she's going to die. The Saint Roses walk out from the hole with the Chimera Animas surrounding the hurt Mew Berry.
''Finish her off.'' Royal Highness commands as the Chimera charge at her. The rabbit-cat girl lifts her head slightly as one comes at her for the head bite. She closes her eyes to scare to react.
''BERRY!'' Just then a voice shouts out to her as skating in between the monster is Tasuku, slamming his skate wheels on the monster's face. It manages to push it back.
''Tasuku-kun?'' Mew Berry questions surprised but before he could turn to face who he assumed is his best friend, another Chimera slams its punch on his back and pushes Tasuku hard onto the ground, knocking him out. Mew Berry watches this with widen eyes as he falls face forward, not moving.
''TASUKU-KUN!'' She screams in terror crawling to his aid. She shakes but he just groans unconscious.
''When did he-'' Blue Bayou starts saying surprised until suddenly both kids suddenly vanished by something moving so fast that it was a blur. The crusaders startle while Royal Highness frowns, concluding either two individuals to do this: the blue hedgehog of the other world… or the Dragon Knight.
Mew Berry blinks finding herself plus even Ucha and the unconscious Tasuku next to her in some kind of broom closet. She then eyes the person being Yugi, waving at her smiling.
''You're-'' She starts uttering out blushing only for Yugi to put his finger on his lips and tells her softly so they don't get heard. ''Sorry for coming late but your friend was a real hero saving you there.''
She blushes not expecting it would be Tasuku who saved her. Yugi eyes her able to tell she's still shaken up and he tells her smiling softly. ''Berry-kun, maybe you should-''
Mew Berry immediately protests, pleading him. ''I have to fight! I can't- I have to be perfect or else all this training with Ichigo-san would have be for nothing.''
''Berry-kun…'' Yugi mutters sadden able to tell she's half certain. He sighs realizing what Jenny had told her previously about Berry's weakness. He kneels down to the shaken Mew Mew and begins telling her. ''I won't force you into doing something you're scared of.''
Mew Berry stares at him blushing rather upset at herself, for her own weakness.
''I'll do my best to fight these Saint Roses.'' Yugi tells her confident he can stop the Crusaders on his own though he should be more like Ichigo, being a mentor. He then adds placing both his hands on her shoulders. ''But, if you really wish to go through with this and fight, don't be perfect but have courage.''
Mew Berry blinks not following. Yugi sweat drops convince he would be clueless too if not for his friends. He explains it to her the best he could put it. ''It sounds ridiculous but by having a desire to protect something or someone will ignite that flame of courageous to jump into anything and save what you want the most.''
Yugi then recalls his first confrontation with the berserk Dark Leader Dragon and his own desire to protect Ichigo. Even though they haven't seen each other since they were kids and Ichigo forgot; he would still jump in to protect her smile. For once it wasn't for Atem's wish for him... but to protect her smile that would make the world brighter.
''After all, I wouldn't be here if not for Ichigo-kun.'' He adds rather happy, causing Berry to freeze up in surprise. Yugi still smiles as he stands back up and asks of her kindly, narrowing his view towards the unconscious Tasuku and speaks up still smiling. ''But to protect those smiles!''
The rabbit-cat Mew Mew stares at him, speechless to see this kind of person with such a resolve surround him. Yugi then asks of her, confidently. ''Watch over your friend. I'll be back soon.''
Mew Berry just nods with Ucha hovering over her. He smiles getting up and gets serious vanishing with Dragon Speed Burst.
Yugi now appears standing in front of the Saint Rose Crusaders, all of them taken back except Royal Highness. This confirmed his suspicious speaking up. ''So you're the Dragon Knight?''
''The one and only.'' The tricolor head responds with a small smile. He then asks staring calmly at the 4 boys. ''So you guys are the Saint Rose Crusaders then?''
The Crusaders didn't say much other than Happy Child and Blue Bayou smirking. Yugi then notices he's surrounded by all the students and teachers in the school. His eyes flash red sensing their auras were being possessed.
''Why are you people doing controlling them?'' Yugi demands annoy at their cruel nature to possess incident people, especially kids. He then adds puzzled. ''Also why a school? Do you go here or something?''
''None of your concerns child.'' Sweet Juliet just mutters out not interested. Then Happy Child adds in a mocking tone. ''Plus no stupid, all-girls school and all. But you know what, school is like our home!''
Yugi glares more annoyed, correcting them pointing his finger at them. ''I'm 18. I don't need to hear that crap from people who play with the lives of others!''
''Then go on, stop us if you dare.'' Royal Highness taunts the young man with his arms crossed with the Chimeras readying themselves.
Yugi glares as he could also sense those hypnotized are partly conscious which is bad for him, meaning he can't use his Dragon Knight's powers fully.
''You won't be able to use most of your abilities like this partner.'' Atem advises his partner telepathically. Yugi frowns and nods as the Chimera come charging at him. The tricolor head immediately moves to the right evades one as another tries wrapping itself around him. Yugi quickly kicks it back as he slam palms his hand on another coming at his counter, thrusting it back. He had to be careful not to use his powers fully or else he'll have a lot to explain.
Mew Berry watches from afar, her lips curly into a frown more and more. She was a coward, wanting to be perfect like her dead mother but how can she if she's this scared.
She thinks back to what she saw and learned from Ichigo and the other Mew Mews. They all went through their own personal growth and became better doing so. She admires them, most of all Ichigo for leading them. She thought she could grow too but she doesn't think so any-
''Don't be perfect but have courage.'' Mew Berry widens her eyes recalling those words Yugi told her. Could that be why she's being held back? Her desire to be like her mama instead of being more like herself? She closes her eyes, now realizing her mistake.
''I…'' Mew Berry mutters softly, opening her eyes to watch Yugi only able to dodge and partly fight back against the Chimera unfairly.
''I…'' She utters leaning out of the door, not wanting to be trapped in her own fear. Turning to see her best friend on the ground who tried to save her without a second, how could she not but fight for something precious too? How could she protect Tasuku who-
Gasping her mouth to realize something that importance, the rabbit-cat girl could not watch this anymore. She wants to protect Tasuku!
Leaping out of her hiding spot towards outside Mew Berry kicks a Chimera about to attack Yugi from the back.
''I WON'T GIVE UP!'' Mew Berry shouts pushing the monster onto the other. The young Dragon Knight staggers as another Chimera comes at her.
''Berry-kun!'' He shouts trying to intercept but then the Mew Mew's body starts glowing. This shocks everyone with Ucha watching and scanning.
The Chimera is pushed back by Mew Berry, breathing calmly almost overwhelmed by this power coursing through her. Ucha hums confirming this to be Berry's powers finally awakened, hidden away from her doubt but now fully release.
Yugi just smiles watching this, feeling her aura as someone differently. Even Berry felt different- no, she felt no fear or terror.
''… I'm not weak… and I won't run away.'' Mew Berry begins to speak up staring down so differently at the villains. Smiling, she then quotes a word that Mew Plum taught her. ''Like I was told not long ago, having energy is the most important thing!''
She then raises her right hand as the energy grows around her body. She places her hand now on her chest and states. ''And this energy flowing through me will help me protect and fight for those I love in my heart!''
Mew Berry then performs a similar pose to Mew Ichigo and proclaims with a wink and smile. ''For the sake of the world, I'll fight with all my might!''
Yugi smiles sweat drop, kinda wishing Ichigo was here to be proud of her student.
Ucha then flies down to Mew Berry and tells her. ''Took you long enough to realize it, dummy!''
Mew Berry blinks but smiles nodding. Ucha nods as it starts glowing to everyone's shock.
''Ucha!'' Mew Berry utters out surprise as Ucha tells her. ''Use your power with me, dummy!''
Mew Berry didn't understand but nods raising her hand to the robot as it glows and quickly changes shape. This further shocks everyone with Yugi uttering. ''Ucha-kun just-''
They watch as Ucha transforms into a staff with an upside-down strawberry at the end. The top of the staff has large strawberry and is surrounded by bunny heads.
Mew Berry stares at it silent but smiles grabbing the staff, twirling it.
''This is of my resolve, Loveberry Staff!'' Mew Berry proclaims proudly wielding her Mew weapon.
Royal Highness glare annoyed by this and snaps his fingers. The Chimeras charge at the rabbit-cat girl who smiles, telling her partner. ''Let's do it Ucha!''
Twirling around, Mew Berry raises her staff upward as it starts glowing.
''RIBBON LOVEBERRY CHECK!'' Mew Berry shouts as she unleashes a magical wave-like blast from her staff similar to Mew Ichigo's Ribbon Strawberry Check except more white-pink swirl colors with heart-shaped bubbles. The attack twirls rapidly like a typhoon, consuming everything in its endless energy. All the Chimeras were consumed and reverted back to normal all while the Para-Paras were destroyed.
Yugi watches smirking by this power, really amazed by Berry right now.
The Saint Rose Crusaders brace themselves as the attack even reach their machine and malfunction it, destroying it.
''Impossible! How could this runt be in the same level as the pink Mew Mew?!'' Happy Child proclaims irritated by this. Royal Highness didn't say a word but his face was much angrier, not seeing this coming.
Soon the tornado vanishes as Mew Berry breathes heavily. She then smiles and answers with a wink. ''I learn from the best!''
Yugi smiles wishing Ichigo was here to hear that; she would be proud.
Snapped, Royal Highness heard enough of this.
''You think your mockery will prevent me from killing you?'' He declares leaping down and approaches Mew Berry who takes up a guard pose with her staff at hand. He scoffs raising his hand forward and declares releasing his power upon her. ''Let's see how strong you really are against my full power.''
He unleashes a powerful psychic wave at her. Mew Berry stands her ground ready for him but then someone moves in between. It was Yugi tanking and swiping off the psychic energy like it was nothing. This horrified Royal Highness and the other Crusaders.
Yugi just glares completely unfazed by Royal Highness's psychic powers as the energy just dissipates. The crusader sweats not believing this human to survive his power to kill his mind but worst is the sinister stare the young man was showing all while his purple eyes glow a threatening red, dragon-like eyes. He looked so pissed and disappointed it was like he was twisting and ripping his soul apart.
The other Saint Roses notice the people they brainwashed were all freed by Yugi using his Dragon Speed Burst to undo their possession with Yin-Yang Dragon's power.
Royal Highness stares just overwhelmed with this fear from this boy's eyes, simply questioning angrily. ''What the hell are you?''
Yugi just taps the other side of his shoulder, blowing off the dirt on his jacket while still gazing at him; silent yet saying much: Don't screw with anyone else.
Royal Highness stares back, doing his best to not tremble but it is impossible. He is afraid.
''Let's retreat!'' Royal Highness immediately proclaims lifting himself away and the other Crusaders, each one vanishing. Mew Berry blinks really surprised to see him run away with no witty comebacks.
Yugi scoffs unimpressed, at least glared back by the likes of Kish and the other aliens.
''They're no aliens; that's for sure.'' He comments as his eyes revert back to normal. He turns and asks the rabbit-cat girl. ''You okay Berry-kun?''
Mew Berry eyes him and smiles responding. ''Yup!''
Yugi smiles with a chuckle. She blushes warmly, not sure if she would have been survived or come out of this the way she is without his words- not just his but the memories and advises she gain from the other girls most of all from Ichigo.
''Thank you Yugi-san…'' Mew Berry thanks him kindly for this, holding her Loveberry Staff and thinking of Tasuku. ''I know understand what a Mew Mew is to me now.''
The staff shakes as it reverts back to Ucha, telling her. ''Good to know dummy.''
Mew Berry giggles petting her partner, appreciating his help most of all too.
Yugi smiles happily with Atem commenting in his mind. ''Becoming a mentor now aren't we, partner?''
The tricolor head blushes slightly red, putting his hands in his pockets.
Watching from afar, Shadow Knight observes. He hums, happy seemingly as he walks away.
Yugi smiles as he's about to suggest to Berry to change back before anyone notices them but before he could, a similar voice speaks up puzzled. ''Berry?''
The two freezes up, turning to see Tasuku now awake and rubbing his back head. He grunts still a bit hurt there but he's awake to notice in surprise that this rabbit girl is Berry.
''Eek…'' Mew Berry mutters extremely nervous. Tasuku then makes a stun expression for sure confirming this is Berry.
Yugi sweat drops heavily, telling her. ''B-blame this on me. Ryou-kun will have a field day again putting the blame on Ichigo-kun.''
Mew Berry nods softly as she approaches her friend, blushing redder. Tasuku had no word for her, just uttering out blushing red too. ''Y-You're cuter.''
Her whole face turns red, just yelling out embarrassed. ''Eek it's a long story!''
Yugi sweat drops more, a really long story as he leads the two kids away to somewhere more private.
The Saint Roses arrive back to their hideout with Royal Highness breathing heavily and dripping sweat.
Sweet Juliet show concern ever seeing him this terrified.
There the Duke becomes known walking out from the shadow, having been watching the whole fight. He then states even witnessing the Dragon Knight's powers. ''It seems we might have a problem with that Dragon Knight's ability that can nullify Royal Highness' power. Our plans to hypnosis all of Tokyo might fail.''
''Damn it!'' Royal Highness shouts slamming his fist on the wall, never been this humiliated not since his time of basically being pulled out of his own damn family.
''What could we do Duke?'' Happy Child asks with Blue Bayou nodding. Their whole plan depends on it to work if they want to conquer the Earth and make it better.
The Duke sadly isn't sure what they can do, explaining it. ''We will need to make more satellites and transmitters as well as a stronger machine to maintain the brainwashing but I fear those Mew Mews will figure them out eventually.''
He then thinks about the black dragon and warns his fellow Crusaders. ''Not to mention we might get noticed by that Dark Lord.''
Royal Highness frowns fearing that might be the worst case scenario. They have no interest working with that monster or else they won't rule and change the world their way.
''Then what else can we do?'' Sweet Juliet actually questions fearing they're screwed now. The other Crusaders weren't sure.
''It seems you poor children are in need of an outside help.'' The whole group becomes alarmed by a voice. Darkness soon manifest around them and emerging from the ground is Arkham, in a taunting bow position to them. "But do not fear. I've come to help you."
''You're…'' The Duke begins uttering out aware who this was but he's interrupted by Arkham proclaiming with an amusing chuckle. ''I'm sure you know the saying but how about I give you a cup of sugar in return for a glass of lemonade, neighbor?''
Arkham has finally made his move with the Saint Rose Crusaders. What will he gain for helping them and the crusaders' endgame nears. How will the Mew Mews handle this?

Author's Note: After 9 chapters later, it is a Berry focus chapter to show her growth of seeing the other Mew Mews and now she can stand right beside them. SO... I have important news to share. A huge event in my miserable life is about to happen that will force me to become "the head of the household". What does that mean? It means I have to take on more responsibilities and duties I never wanted and I have no choice.
And what does that mean for DKR? A LOT... ish. It's not like I'm getting a job but I am going to have to work regardless. So what will happen to DKR? It will continue, don't you worry... but I will be forced to not upload weekly like I used to. I will upload weekly sometimes and half the time skip a week.
What about Tales of the Decade? Same... ISH. Same-ish.
But I'm not quitting my fanfic hobbies.
What about my commission stuff? EH... limited... but yea.
