Chapter 15: Unwinding

Fluttershy and her friends had just left their pets with Zephyr Breeze.
"Do you think the pets will be okay with him?" asked Twilight.
"Don't worry, I'm sure Zephyr can handle things." Fluttershy assured.
"Come along, ladies. The spa awaits." Rarity told them.
And they all piled into Rarity's car, and she drove off to the city.
When they arrived at the spa, Rarity parked and went inside.
"Wow, this place is nice." observed Pinkie Pie.
The floor was wooden and shiny, the walls were white, and a woman was sitting behind a white desk.
"Excuse me?" Rarity asked.
"Hello, may I help you?" the receptionist offered.
"We have an appointment, the full spa treatment, it's under Rarity."
The receptionist typed on her computer, and found it.
"Ah yes, here it is. Just fill out these cards, and we can get started."
The receptionist gave them some cards to fill out, which was just about their age, if they had any medical conditions, and if they got out in the sun much. After getting those filled out, they were escorted back by one of the workers.
"I hope you ladies will enjoy your time here. Now you're all getting the full treatments right?"
"Yes, that includes the massages, facials, manicures, and pedicures, and steam room." Rarity told.
"Great, we'll be taking three of you at a time. You can leave your purses in our locker rooms, and change into these robes and flip flops."
She gave them their clothes, and left. After changing out of their clothes, the girls stepped out of the locker rooms.
"This robe feels so soft." said Fluttershy.
"You got that right." agreed Applejack.
"So when do these treatments start?" Rainbow Dash wanted to know.
"We have to wait." Rarity informed.
The girls waited, and a few minutes later a couple workers came out.
"Hello, I'm Aloe and this is my sister Lotus Blossom. We'll be taking care of you." one of them said.
"You three can come with me." Lotus Blossom said, referring to Twilight, Pinkie, and Applejack.
"And you three can follow me." Aloe replied, talking to Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy.
The girls followed them, and they went separate ways.
Lotus Blossom took the girls to get massages.
"I hope you don't mind getting massages together." she informed.
"That's not a problem." Applejack assured.
Then a couple other workers came in. The girls recognized one of the workers as Bulk Biceps, a classmate of theirs.
"Bulk Biceps, what are you doing here?" asked Pinkie.
"I'm learning to be a masseuse, so I got a job here." he told them.
"Good for you." complimented Twilight.
Lotus Blossom then instructed the girls to lie down on the tables, and they did.
"All right, let's get to work."
And with that, they all started massaging the girls' backs.
"Woo, this feels great." Applejack sighed.
"You said it." agreed Pinkie.
"I think I may just doze off." said Twilight.
She took off her glasses, and then closed her eyes.
Meanwhile, Aloe took Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy to the steam room. After changing from their robes to towels, and wrapping up their hair, they went in, and Aloe said she'd come back to get them in twenty minutes.
They all took a seat, and felt the room heat up.
"Whew, so far my muscles are loving this." Rainbow Dash said.
"Ah, a steam is always refreshing. As gross as it is, sweating is good for you." Rarity mentioned.
"I suppose it could be good." Fluttershy piped up.
The longer they sat, they felt their muscles relax, and the sweating did feel refreshing. Back with the others, they had just finished their massages.
"All right, ladies are you ready for a steam?" asked Lotus Blossom.
"(Yawns), we're ready." replied Twilight, as she got up.
"Let's go." declared Pinkie.
"Coming, ya'll." Applejack said, getting up.
On their way to the steam room, they saw their friends coming out.
"Hello, girls. Enjoy your massages?" asked Fluttershy.
"You bet." Applejack replied.
"How was the steam room?" wondered Twilight.
"It was great." said Rainbow Dash.
"Let's go girls, you can take a quick shower, and then you can get your massages." Aloe informed.
She led them away, and the other girls went into the steam room. The day went on, after some massages, steamed, and showers, the girls got their other treatments. They got facials, manicures, and pedicures.
"Do you think our pets are okay?" asked Twilight, as a worker smeared cream on her face.
"Oh, I'm sure they're fine." assured Applejack, as a worker massaged her face.
"Yeah, I'm sure Zephyr can handle them." agreed Pinkie, as the worker that was doing her facial mixed up the cream.
In another room, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy were getting their nails done.
"My my, when was the last time you had a pedicure?" Aloe asked Rainbow Dash.
"Pedicures aren't really my thing." Rainbow Dash explained.
"Plus my feet take a lot of pounding with soccer and all."
"I'd like this pale pink color for my fingernails, and forest green for my toes." Fluttershy requested.
"No problem." a worker replied.
"Rarity, you almost don't need a mani pedi."
"I always make sure to take care of my nails. I file and everything."
When the girls got finished, they took a little break to get lunch. The spa provided them with finger sandwiches, fruit, and juices.
"I could get used to this." Rainbow Dash said, as she popped a sandwich in her mouth.
"Yeah, this is fun." added Twilight, taking a sip of juice.
"And relaxing." replied Pinkie, as she ate some strawberries.
"We should do this more often." Applejack suggested.
"Great idea." complimented Fluttershy.
After finishing their food, they got their last treatments.
"Ah, nothing like a good facial." sighed Rarity, as she got cream put on her face.
Another worker then put two cucumbers on Rainbow Dash's eyes.
"Hey, what are these for?" she wanted to know.
"They're good for reducing the puffiness around your eyes." the worker explained.
"(Sighs), this is very nice." sighed Fluttershy, as she got her face massaged.
The other girls, got their nails done.
"Is this your first manicure, Applejack?" asked Lotus Blossom.
"Well my first professional one." Applejack replied.
"I usually do them myself."
"That violet color looks good on you, Twilight." complimented Pinkie.
"Thanks, the light pink color you picked is nice too." Twilight told her back.
Once they were all done, they met up again.
"Well ladies, are we ready to head home now?" suggested Rarity.
"Yep, let's go." said Applejack.
After paying for the day, the girls left.
"I can't wait to see Gummy." Pinkie piped up.
"Yeah, I miss Spike." added Twilight.
"I'll be happy to see Tank too. I love that little guy." Rainbow Dash mentioned.
"And I can't wait to see my little Angel." gushed Fluttershy.
"Opal will be happy to see me." Rarity said, as she drove.
"And I'm looking forward to seeing Winona." Applejack said.
And they drove down the street, and back to Fluttershy's house.
