Hello to all! This is Episode 23 of the new first mini arc of Volume 5: Black Arms and a Promise Remembered!
P.S. I do not own them all or any of them except this crossover story, so I wrote the band's or artist's name that wrote that song which I do not own again.
Intro: The Earth… is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero… is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 5: Episode 23: A Shadowless Crisis! Mobius under Attack!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Our heroes all stare down in horror as do the leaderless Saint Rose Crusaders of the death of the Duke and the appearance of the former old but now young woman known as Mew Blackberry. Taunting sadist about using the Duke to achieve her own goals, and then teased the Mew Mews as her pride now. To celebrate the moment, the evil Mew Mew summoned forth the Chimera Animas and she ordered them to attack the civilians. The innocent screamed being attacked by the monster all while the lion woman grinned maliciously.
Angry at what she had been doing, the Mew Mews engaged her while the Sailor Guardians handled the Chimeras. Through their best efforts and their teamwork, Mew Blackberry was someone in the same level par if not higher than Deep Blue smacking the Mew Mews. She even boasted that she was one of the beings Deep Blue was afraid of.
One by one, the Mew Mews fell defeated with Mew Ichigo standing and even with her Evolution form and her abilities; Mew Blackberry demolished the cat girl so hard she nearly killed her. Having seen enough of this, filled with anger, Yugi charged forward with the Blue Knight to fight the evil Mew Mew but their attacks did nothing as Mew Blackberry can withstand any hit and regenerate any major damage. Getting madder to see his Ichigo so badly hurt, Yugi almost got himself killed until he's tossed aside by the appearance of Kojan Uchiha.
Having been watching once he felt the power of this Blackberry, Kojan decided to wait till it was clearly his turn to fight her. Mew Blackberry questioned and Kojan's simple response was he despises monsters that don't care about human lives as much as weaklings or trash. He proceeded to fight this nearly invincible Mew Mew and shocked Blackberry that none of her attacks had any effect on him while Kojan delivered two blows strong enough to mentally harm her. Actually scared to lose this new youth this soon, Mew Blackberry escaped taking the Saint Roses with her. Kojan shortly left, calling Yugi a Dragon Knight with no blade, hardly even a knight or dragon.
Yugi was left silent as he took Mew Ichigo to be treated by her, beaten; defeated both physically and mentally in failing her.
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... a few weeks ago since the previous episode:
Staring at the edge of a cliff towards the endless ocean, Shadow the Hedgehog stares at it deeply as the sun sets over him. Next to him were two graves, each with a floor. The one further had the engraving with the name ''Doctor Gerald Robotnik, a creator and a smart man'' and the one closest to Shadow had the engraving of ''Maria Robotnik, a beloved friend.''.
Shadow made these tombs when he regained his memories, believing this is the best he could do to show his love for both, especially to the young girl who wished- no, desired to visit and see the world with her own eyes. It doesn't change that he missed her.
''Maria…'' He tells himself, recalling her smile and everything she wanted to see once her disease is healed. He makes no sadden expression though he squeezes his shoulder arms tightly. ''I wonder what you would say if you see the ocean with your eyes.''
''…'' Silent, Shadow stares at the ocean, enjoying the peace… until ringing from a watch. He groans tapping on it and speaks. ''What is it Rouge?''
''Hey Shadow, um where are you?'' Rouge asks her teammate a bit of concern. Shadow raises an eyebrow answering her. ''The ocean. Why?''
''Shadow, someone is within the Ark.'' Omega now speaks through the other line, alarming the black hedgehog. He scowls, figuring it would be Doctor Robotnik plotting again.
''… I'm going to check it out.'' He proclaims but Rouge protests ''We're going too! We are a team remember?''
Shadow just smirks, easing her worries. ''Relax leader, I got this.''
Without thinking twice, Shadow uses Chaos Control to teleport up to the Space Colony ARK.
Shadow arrives at the station but no one. He checks where the Eclipse Cannon control room was and nobody. He moves on to the other sectors but nothing… but he was being watched.
''…'' Silence around him, Shadow crosses his arms and speaks up enough of these games. ''Show yourself.''
In the shadows an orange light gleams though.
''Oh, I'm impressed. Then again, you are the Ultimate Lifeform.'' Emerging out of said shadows is Aigami, holding the Quantum Cube in his hand. Shadow startles, remembering this human when he was working with Black Moon.
''You're…'' The black hedgehog utters getting into a battle pose. Aigami smirks as he asks him kindly. ''Do you wish to help me?''
''… Leave before I change my mind about sparing you.'' Shadow disagrees and threatens him seriously, not going to allow ANYONE to use the Eclipse Cannon but him to protect this planet. Aigami sighs kinda expecting this would be easier but it wouldn't be fun either.
Just then Shadow feels a sharp pain in his mind as he suddenly drops on his knees.
''W-what the…'' He utters in pain, feeling this sensation before. He turns to notice a small figure hovering in the shadows.
''Impressed, Shadow? It seems Black Death can control you too.'' A familiar voice speaks to the hedgehog. Shadow widens his eyes in horror, turning forward and sees with terror at what he could describe as Black Doom; his ''other'' creator and the monster that almost causes him to destroy the world Maria loves.
''Do you remember me?'' He questions with his main red eye glowing. Shadow snaps as his eyes glow red and breaks free, firing a Chaos Spear through Black Doom but it blows away to reveal it was a hallucination.
''An illusion?'' Shadow utters standing up straight. There he senses someone behind him and said figure speaks up. ''Of course Black Doom is dead but don't worry.''
Turning around extremely fast Shadow shouts as his left hand glows. ''CHAOS CONTROL!''
Shadow proceeds to kick his enemy with time frozen but said enemy catches his leg. The black hedgehog is shocked greatly, sensing that Chaos Control did not activate even confirming his left hand has stopped glowing.
The figure grins slamming and blasting him with a dark blast. Shadow is slammed onto the wall, gasping in pain on all fours. Shadow, thinking on the spot, teleports his red Chaos Emerald in the corner of the room before anyone sees him. He tries to get up but gasps, feeling them controlling his mind again. Said figure approaches him slowly, forming a sly smirk.
''I'll lead you back to where you belong, brother.'' The figure proclaims as his glowing golden, black sclera eyes stare down at Shadow before he suddenly passes out.
Aigami watches this play out and smirks looking forward to seeing how Yugi will deal with this.
Last left off…
Ulquiorra returned to Las Noches, bowing down to Aizen. He was spying on Team Dragon Knight for his master's command, and recorded all that happened in that fight with that new evil Mew Mew including the appearance of Kojan Uchiha the Black Dragon Knight.
Aizen watches all of this play out after Ulquiorra used his ability by destroying his eyeball, letting all to witness what he saw.
''How fascinating.'' Aizen comments, tapping his chin resting his arms on his chair's armchairs. Gin watches this and grins stating the obvious. ''So Akumu's foot-soldier caused a rackets.''
Aizen didn't reply, gazing at the image of the Arkham. Such a strange human he is with unique powers similar to that of that future human, Judai Yuki. Though he questioned why this masked man Arkham tried this?
''Well then wha should we do, Captain Aizen?'' Gin then asks his captain about this matter. Aizen doesn't say a word and just smirks.
''We proceed as plan.'' Aizen simply says, not letting this bother with his own plans. Let the Dark Lord keep messing up; his loss is his benefit as he proclaims. ''With such a good distraction, it's time for the Espadas to test Soul Society's borders.''
In Present time…
Akumu grabs and grips his suddenly transformed dragon claw around Arkham's throat while his eyes glow venomous with rage and anger. Dark General Knight chuckles heavily in the corner, almost ironic how long karma kicked in to give him such a pleasing scene. They were already told by the Dark Dragon Hunter who watched the whole thing and it enraged the Dark Lord so much he transforms into his dragon head and devours the poor minion, eating it viciously.
Now Akumu is choking the life out of Arkham, yelling at him as calmly as he could put it. ''EXPLAIN-YOURSELF!''
Arkham struggles to breathe while Dark General Knight snickers at this.
''I simply…'' Arkham tries to explain but gets choked up by Akumu's claw around his throat. Akumu, growling, releases his grip a bit to hear his stupid explanation. Breathing deeply and heavily, Arkham explains slowly. ''… Wanted to know what the Crusaders were up to… and eliminate them immediately… but that woman… let's just say it was under my own obligations… to help her.''
Akumu's normal human eyes turn into furious demonic dragon eyes, reminding him of his actions as firm and grim. ''She hospitalized my niece. And last I checked your obligations when we met were to HELP ME! ME!''
Arkham can tell he was angry as he tries to further explain slowly again. ''I was trying… to get her to work for you… but she was using me… for her own reasons.''
''Then are you a spy then, Arkham?'' Akumu calls him off gritting his teeth. If he was a spy, and in case a spy for Aizen… he would KILL him right on the spot.
Arkham knows he is in a tight spot and he has to fix it. He soon asks in his elegant, educated, kind nature. ''What must I do to earn your trust then, Akumu-san?''
The Dark Lord gazes at him still coldly before ultimately releasing his grip. Arkham lands back on the floor, grunting as he rubs his throat.
''Do you know the story on why the kind king Haou became an evil tyrant?'' Akumu then questions the masked man about the truth behind the Supreme King. Arkham eyes him and he doesn't nor would Judai. All he can recall from the first Supreme King was some of the battles he went on against those who he would call his enemies.
Akumu walks up to the window, eyeing the outside world and view of the city down below. So many ants down there, so many unaware how cruel life is and how fate demands them to suffer by its master. It has always been like this.
''It wasn't because he wielded the Gentle Darkness or countless battles; it was because he lost all hope when he met despair.'' Akumu expresses knowing the truth of Haou and the horror he confronted before giving up on himself.
Arkham raises an eyebrow by that and questions. ''Despair?''
The Dark Lord turns facing him and tells him angrily. ''A being so despiteful that compare to him, I'm a SAINT!''
Arkham hums thinking about it, able to tell there's a connection between him and this ''despair''. Such curiosity, wishing to know more. But before he could ask more about it Akumu then asks him seriously. ''Now tell me why I shouldn't kill you?''
The masked man hums now in a pinch. He has to make things up for the Dark Lord and if he plays it well, not only will he learn about who Akumu Momomiya is but earned the right to be his new commander.
Willing to take the chance, Arkham bows to the Dark Lord and answers humbly. ''Then allow me to fix my mistake by giving you something of grander joy.''
''And why should I?'' Akumu calls him off for not buying his vow. Arkham lifts his head up with a serious gaze from his eyes, telling him. ''Because I too want this cycle to end.''
''…'' Akumu stares silently glaring down at his eyes to see the small hint of deceit and sadly none.
Akumu then eyes Dark General Knight in his opinion and the knight silently nods, willing to give this so-called traitor a second chance… and if he fails, it will become that much more amusing.
The Dark Lord sighs and looks back at Arkham, willing to accept. ''I will give you 2 weeks starting now. If you do not please me by then, I will end you.''
He then adds, taunting as his shadow morphs into a dragon's silhouette. ''Crunchy, screaming, end you.''
Arkham narrows his golden eyes eagerly and replies. ''Challenge accepted.''
Akumu just growls. Arkham stands back up and bows before he vanishes.
Dark General Knight grunts hating this situation. To think that woman has returned, only hearing stories of her from his lord.
''Blackberry…'' Akumu mutters out sitting on his throne, glaring at the widespread window view of the city. To think it too long for her to finally reappear but didn't expect her powers would return too. Damn Arkham, he should have told him beforehand than let him do what he pleased.
''Damn witch.'' The Dark Lord mutters, not going to tolerate her living for long. He will kill her. All he needs is to wait.
A week later…
The grey sky of the next day only made Yugi's walk to the hospital even more depressing. The Mew Mews have been recovering here except for Jenny who was able to be moved home to resume some of her work.
Yugi had helped her but she ordered him to stop it and go check up on Ichigo. Sighing as he grabs his backpack bag and buying a few things like a slice of pizza, chocolates, milk, fried fish treats and a cat plush. He arrives walking in, frowning looking down at first. He looks up and startles to eye Ryan staring at him, waving hello.
The two got time to talk not since that day.
''How's your big sister?'' Ryan asks, aware she didn't have to stay inside the hospital. Yugi nods explaining it. ''Recovering at home but she's basically better. Ringo-chan managed to heal her a lot.''
Ryan smiles a bit glad to hear. She suffered a lot of injuries like Erika and Ichigo, real bad ones. Mint, Lettuce, Pudding and Zakuro had somewhat bad injuries but nothing life-threatening. Ringo had fewer injuries but recovered as did Berry.
''Erika is still recovering right?'' Yugi asks with Ryan nods replying with a smile. ''But she's feeling much better! Her Inner Scorpion powers are something else.''
Yugi nods, figuring as much. Ryan nods, recalling as he watched Erika summoning her powers for a small moment, wanting to confirm if she could use them. Much like the time Ichigo used Mew Aqua to save her, whatever Mew Blackberry did was using Mew Aqua too suppressing her Inner Demon's powers.
''Are you going to visit Ichigo again?'' Ryan then asks certainly he will. The tricolor head nods softly as Ryan grins and tells him with a thumb up. ''Ace! Break a leg!''
Yugi sweat drops by his good luck and nods while taking the elevator. He takes it to the floor Ichigo is placed in and asks a nurse about Ichigo's room. She points to the direction and Yugi arrives at the door. He's about to walk in until he hears a conversation. He peeks to see Ichigo on bed, partly covered in bandages and a depressed face all over her. She is with Masaya who looks saddened to see her appearance.
''Ichigo, sorry. I should have tried harder to protect you.'' Masaya says regretting not helping her, his sisters and the other girls from that evil Mew Mew. Ichigo just looks silent with a depressing face. Yugi could see all over her getting sad himself.
Ichigo eyes her wrapped up bandage hand and frowns sad.
''… Please don't let Yugi-kun see me like this.'' Finally speaking, Ichigo pleads to Masaya. Yugi widens his eyes to hear that.
''I don't…'' She tries explaining herself but her words stagger as did her voice, shaking as she cries. ''I don't want him to see me like this pathetic.''
Masaya frowns never seeing Ichigo like that. Just then they heard a drop alarming them. Masaya runs to the door entrance and sees a bag of stuff. He blinks, grabbing the bag and brings them to the room. Ichigo spots a cute cat plush and could smell pizza and fish from the bag.
''Yugi-kun…'' Ichigo mutters depressed, realizing it was him.
Running down the stairs, Yugi stops and grits his teeth holding his arms on the wall. He sobs as his eyes become Yin-Yang Dragon's eyes and just snaps. He yells, punching his hand on the wall, punching over and over and over. He punches harder and harder, his tears not stopping as blood drips from his hand. The wall cracks over and over.
He roars angrily, punching more until his right fist is grabbed by his left hand. Yugi widens his eyes, finding himself held back by Atem taking control of his partner's body.
''Enough partner! It's not your fault!'' Atem orders Yugi, not able to see him do this. Yugi breathes heavily as his eyes revert back to normal, sobbing heavily. He grits his teeth, leaning his head on the wall, sobbing. He shouldn't have let Ichigo fight Blackberry knowing it would end like this. He shouldn't have.
Yugi breathes harder and nods, walking down, leaving behind the bloody broken wall.
Jonouchi groans, forced to go with everyone to visit Ichigo. He has to come but for Erika, at the least. Honda came along planning to see the fun of if Ryan is there and Jonouchi loses his cool… and make sure his friend doesn't punch a lawyer.
"You think Ichigo would love these?'' Ruby asks to buy multiple treats for Ichigo. Jonouchi eyes them and nods. ''Yea but knowing Yugi, he would have bought those already and already gave them to Momomiya.''
Ruby grins happily as does Usagi. Alicia tries to smile but she struggles as does everyone else.
''Mew Blackberry, damn it. We should have been there.'' Kurosaki expresses upset at letting this happen. The others felt the same, not able to do anything either.
''I should have been there. I had school and ghost problem.'' Danny apologizes for not being present, getting the call for help. He had another ghost attack that well required his full attention.
''Even your cousin had to help you?'' Edward asks with Danny nodding, explaining it. ''It was Freakshow. Let's just say that guy is more annoying than Stalker.''
Boy did Danny wish it was Stalker. At least that would have been a better and quick fight. He needs to make it up.
Just as they were close to the hospital, the group startled, staring at Yugi walking up to them. He walks past them and ignores them. They are surprised with Judai calling out to him. ''Hey Yugi-san!''
Yugi staggers, turning to face his friends, not seeing them at first. He just looks silently with a dreadful expression all over his face.
''Oi, where were you going?'' Ichigo asks him, wondering if he went to see Momomiya already. Naruto then notices the dry-blooded hand Yugi has.
''… I'm not welcomed.'' Yugi just mutters out with a small smile on his face. This shocked the others with Jonouchi snapping crossly. ''What the hell did she-''
Yugi shakes his head, frowning, as he says tears dripping from his face. ''I failed her Jonouchi-kun.''
Jonouchi staggers seeing his best friend laughing as tears drip from his eyes.
''I failed her.'' He utters out again crushed and defeated. The others eye him really down for what has happened, not able to blame him.
''Yugi…'' Alicia mutters sad to see him like this. Jonouchi groans not able to see his best friend like this and for once he needs to be the supported friend with his girlfriend.
Jonouchi coughs to get the nerve to say it and ultimately speaks up. ''Look buddy, you and Momomiya had no idea what you were up against. Judai and the lawyer told us how bad the mess was. Besides, you didn't fail her, she would be happy in her own way that you even care for her.''
Yugi eyes him nodding though he adds, defeated. ''Maybe but it didn't change anything. I didn't try enough, I didn't.''
Just reminded how Kojan easily disposed of Mew Blackberry without using his full power seemingly. How is he supposed to compete to be a Dragon Knight then?
Ruby groans, not able to hold her tongue back and speaks up energetically. ''But I know you'll change that around Yugi! I saw how awesome you are, you are the Undefeatable Dragon Knight!''
Yugi just smiled, not for how kind Ruby was being but how pathetic he is to inspire someone to think of himself like that. He's no undefeatable anyone, not even a Dragon Knight.
Everyone slowly frowns to realize this is pretty grim. They know, even Ruby knows, how much Yugi and Ichigo care for each other and to see him like this is horrible for him.
The area became silent between all… until they heard chewing. Ed blinks, turning to Judai who shakes his head pointing to his side. Ed looks and sees Sonic, present among the group while eating a chili dog. The blond headed alchemist glares as the others eye the blue hedgehog, still eating his meal. He soon notices their eyes on him and finishes eating his chili dog, burping a bit.
''Yo! Everything cool guys?'' Sonic finally speaks up, saluting to the group. Ed growls at his cool nature and he barks at him. ''YOU NEED A GODDAMN PHONE HEDGEHOG!''
Sonic eyes him burrowing an eye and asks in a taunting manner. ''Can't you use one now, short-stump?''
''…'' The others sweat drop, eyeing Ed who's face turns red with anger but tries to control himself by punching the wall, cracking it slightly. Sonic blinks surprised he did that, normally hearing his rants first.
''This is a really bad time Sonic.'' Danny says pointing out this isn't the right time for jokes.
Sonic eyes Yugi pretty saddened. Boy did he not look good. He lets out a sigh, saying. ''Same I guess but I need help, I need Team Dragon Knight's help.''
The group and even Yugi eye him puzzled. For once Sonic is asking for their help.
''What you mean?'' Jonouchi asks pretty puzzled like everyone else. Sonic looks up at them and tells them as serious as he's ever been. ''My home planet Mobius is in big trouble and Shadow might be too."
This alarmed Yugi, eyeing the blue hedgehog. Shadow was in trouble? Of all the times.
What will Sonic tell his friends of his request?
Commercial Break:
Sonic: Ah man, I was not expecting you guys to need this cool guy to help out.
Judai: Yea we really needed your help but hey, moving on!
Yugi and the others follow or rather Sonic speeds them all up by pushing them forward till they all arrive at the small house that Tails bought from the Fenton family as his and the other of Sonic friends' home in this world.
Even Ryan was called and had to come along by Jonouchi… just so he doesn't try anything with Erika. Ryan is just amazed to meet the rest of these anthro cartoon creatures… also the fact they're pretty smart and all unique.
From there Judai and Ryan explain what had happened and the blue hedgehog and his friends present were surprised they were in that much of a deep trouble.
"So that's what happened.'' Sonic mutters with his arms crossed, really wishing he did show up to their aid. Judai agrees but Ryan doesn't think so; that Mew Blackberry would still be too much if not for that Kojan guy.
Ryan looks around in the rather unique mix of the rooms; machines with girls designs.
''Nice home by the way.'' He comments, really liking the mix design in the room. The others look around somewhat impressed too.
''You guys sure made this place a nice second home.'' Danny praises having already been in and out of here in hurry but for once looking around without running around.
''Nothing I can't make!'' Tails says giggling, really proud of the work.
''I still don't like it.'' Knuckles protests with his arms crossed. Immediately Amy's glow red eyes shine behind him and she smacks him with her hammer.
''OUCH!'' The echidna cries out head first on the ground. Cream sweat drops smiling with Cheese hiding behind her. Amy whistles twirling her hammer very casually.
The others sweat drop with Danny speaking up. ''So what's this about our edgy hedgehog friend?''
Sonic hums thinking about how to respond by starting from the beginning. ''Well to start, Tails here created a portal using similar tech mambo-jumbo tech from that Ghost Portal.''
Danny blinks and looks from a lab wall of the strange portal. He's seen sometimes that Tails work on that he tries to see the others.
Ryan blinks at that and asks puzzled. ''And you guys come from a world similar to Earth, even connected to our planet?''
''Basically.'' Tails responds glad he was able to pull this off. It's not his first time creating a portal like this. If you're friends with Sonic, expect any type of adventure.
Tails tested it and they all returned back to Mobius. Happy to be back though, they went back to Earth since they can't leave Eggman untouched. That and Sonic enjoys the human world and the other team he joined.
"I was really happy to return home and see my mommy. Cheese was also happy to see his fellow friends.'' Cream expresses smiling with the little Chao crying out happily. ''Chao!''
''And that's when we went to see an old friend and got the news -'' Sonic begins to say until Amy interrupts and lectures him. ''Sonic, we both know friend is a less respectful way to call our princess.''
The others startled with Jonouchi, Naruto, Danny, Ed, Usagi and Ruby all shouted out loudly. ''YOU GUYS HAVE A PRINCESS?!''
Kurosaki, Alicia and Ryan were surprised too while Judai whistles amazed.
''She's still a friend Amy.'' Sonic tells the pink hedgehog as he places his arms behind his back head.
Amy just blushes thinking Sonic said that because he loves her.
''Anyway our home planet is having pest control-'' Sonic resumes with Knuckles butting in saying seriously. ''From an enemy that attack this world long ago, the Black Arms.''
The humans blink with Ryan blinking as did Danny. They were most aware of the situation as that happened when they were younger in the US.
''OH! The Black Arms! Man was that weird. I thought they were filming Independence Day 2 or something.'' Ryan says always believing it was a movie though it was otherwise an invasion. Danny nods agreeing until he starts thinking; that happened like years ago when he was just a younger kid.
He eyes Sonic and his friends and asks them startled. ''Wait how old are you guys?''
Sonic blinks as did his friends, eyeing each other before they all smile.
''You can't be serious.'' Ichigo utters sweat dropping with Sonic taunting him with a smirk. ''Jealous carrot top?''
Kurosaki groans with Judai asking the obvious. ''So space aliens then?''
Naruto trembles unease on the alien part. Why aliens? Just as creepy as ghosts.
''Evil space aliens…'' Tails corrects him slightly with Knuckles adding grim. ''And they have a connection to Shadow.''
This surprised the group. Judai hums almost not surprised, well not surprised, more like it doesn't shock him. After all, almost all of Team Dragon Knight has a crazy backstory or not truly human-human. Heck the only few who are human-human would be Jonouchi and maybe Ruby. Well maybe, he has a feeling she has something hidden.
''So those aliens are doing bad stuff in your world and you need backup?'' Ed questions pretty sure that's what they are asking. Amy nods, replying. ''Basically. And we can't let them go on doing what they please.''
The others get that though Alicia asks the obvious question. ''I mean you guys stopped them before then. Why need more help?''
Sonic and the others eye each other, not sure how to put it.
''Because we had Shadow.'' A voice speaks up alarming everyone. The group turns to see Rouge the Bat and Omega present.
''Bat boobs and mega robot!'' Jonouchi yells out loudly pointing at the bat girl's cleavage. The others sweat drops with Usagi and Ruby both eyeing Amy and Cream's chests. Both girls blush redder, no comment on that.
''Wait, aren't you guys always with Shadow?'' Judai asks as he can tell Shadow likes those two a lot. Rouge nods sadden as Omega explicates in his robotic voice. ''We lost contact with Shadow when he was checking a situation within the Space Colony ARK.''
Rouge pulls out the red Chaos Emerald that Omega located within the ARK, confirming that Shadow left it behind as a clue for them that he was taken.
Ryan gasps slightly, having heard legends about the first space station made above the Earth. He never believed it was a myth, something his parents wanted to uncover… well when they were alive.
''But there were sights of Shadow in Mobius the same time the Black Arms attacked Mobius.'' Rouge says concerned, reminded how Shadow followed the Black Arms once former ruler Black Doom to regain his memories but at the end of the day he saved everyone despite that. Though… she is more concerned why Shadow is following them with Black Doom gone and who is leading the Black Arms.
The rest of Team Dragon Knight think on this except Yugi, still hesitating in himself. Naruto ultimately gulps and speaks up seriously, refusing to be scared. ''Well… guess we can't say no to a friend.''
''And that portal will take us there right?'' Usagi asks a bit worrying about going inside a machine like how bad that movie, the Fly turned out. She shivers regretting that she saw that movie with the other girls. Tails sees her concerns and says easing her worries. ''It works! No weird side effects.''
Usage shivers still not sure but nods.
''THEN IT'S SETTLED!'' Honda proclaims energetic. The others sweat drops with Jonouchi asking him. ''You're going pal?''
Honda sweat drops heavily before making a terrifying, grim expression at the idea of going.
''Eh no, I stay behind haha.'' He backs down chuckling unease.
Jonouchi sighs, patting his back as he grabs him by the neck and he threatens Honda kindly but firmly. ''Watch my sister and don't try anything funny.''
Honda once more sweats heavily and just nods. The others smile and laugh a bit… except for one.
''… I'm not going.'' Yugi finally speaks up, alarming everyone. Jonouchi tries to put a smile, guessing it's what's inside his backpack and declares easing his worries. ''If it's about the egg Yugi, I got your back. Literally.''
Yugi, however, shakes his head as if it's not about just rambling depressed. ''No, I can't go. I'm-''
''Let me make a call first!'' Jonouchi suddenly speaks up loudly, pulling out his phone. Yugi blinks not following as his friend makes the call immediately. The others blink watching him as he starts talking to someone in a seemingly heated argument.
''No! Just get off your bed and get her on the phone! Just do it rich girl!'' Jonouchi orders from the person on the other line as the other voice grunts and accepts. Ed slowly realizes who Jonouchi is calling.
Jonouchi waits and nods, turning on video chat and tells Yugi to hand over the phone. ''Yugi, someone wants to talk with you.''
Yugi blinks while receiving the phone and looks at the phone. He slowly widens his eyes, seeing from the other side of the video chat is Ichigo. She too has a surprised face to see him. The two stare silent at the other but Yugi looks down, not able to speak to her. He-
''YUGI-KUN…'' Yugi snaps out eyeing the red cherry head on the other end, eyeing him softly and caring. The tricolor head blushes sadly as Ichigo then says, forcing a bright smile due to her exhaustion. ''Thank you, for the gifts Nya. Masaya-kun said you stayed by my side while I was unconscious.''
Yugi eyes her still saddened, wishing he could do more. Ichigo could tell and ask him kindly. ''Go help our friends, Yugi-kun.''
The tricolor head still isn't, worry he might screw up again. But Ichigo, almost reading his thoughts, knows he blames himself but he isn't the type to ever give up on anyone.
''Whatever is happening with Shadow, only you can reach out to him.'' She pleads for him wanting to see her hero save the day. ''So please, do what my Heroic Dragon Knight does best Nya.''
Yugi eyes her, blushing that even after everything she still believes in him. Ichigo tries smiling as she promises him. ''I'll get better and next time I can come along to Sonic's world Nya! Just take some pictures though.''
Judai moves behind Yugi and grins, pulling the thumb up to her. The others join behind Yugi who blushes, realizing his friends all have his back.
Yugi slowly forms a smile eyeing Ichigo while staring deep at her brown eyes with a shine that she hasn't lost faith in him. He breathes calmly and vows with his own smile, trying his best to not sob. ''… I won't fail you again, my Strawberry Kitten.''
Ichigo giggles happy to hear that response. ''I know you won't, Nya. Good luck Yugi-kun.''
Yugi nods, not going to fail her again.
''AND!'' Ichigo suddenly yells out turning towards Usagi and instructs her to giggle a bit. ''Cousin Usagi-chan, you're the Magical Girl of the team until I recover Nya.''
Usagi startles before slowly letting tears drip from her eyes. She sobs, rubbing her face with her arm, declaring in a vow. ''I WON'T FAIL YOU EITHER COUSIN ICHIGO-CHAN!''
Ichigo giggles at her reaction, eyeing everyone else, including Jonouchi, and tells them. ''Everyone, good luck Nya. Even you, baka.''
Jonouchi salutes, vowing to her. Ichigo soon hangs up on her end.
Mint smirks, eyeing her fearless leader to do the role of a supporting girlfriend, actually praising her. ''I think you did a good job encouraging him.''
''… Yea.'' Ichigo just mutters looking down at her blankets. She blushes, eyeing the bag of stuff Yugi bought for her. She really is pathetic saying such things about-
Ichigo suddenly has temporary flashes of her being brutally beaten by the hands of Mew Blackberry, shivering her very core as the woman grinned at her.
Mint then notices her leader gripping on her blankets, trembling heavily.
''Ichigo?'' She questions, actually worried. Ichigo just smiles telling her nervously. ''I-I need to rest Nya. Still trying to recover.''
Mint eyes her and sighs admitting they need to rest. She leaves her room to rest up again. Alone, Ichigo resumes shaking with tears dripping from her eyes. She sobs slamming her face on the pillow, still reminded of her failure… and fear.
Yugi hands the phone back to Jonouchi who asks him. ''Better now Yugi?''
The tricolor head breathes deeply but he ultimately nods.
''A bit…'' He mutters still not completely confident but he's strong enough to go through with this. He eyes everyone and declares smiling. ''Let's go find and save Shadow-kun and Sonic-kun's world!''
Everyone nods happily to see their leader back to his normal self.
''Oh and Jonouchi, thank you.'' Yugi then adds eyeing the darkened blond head, smiling really thankful for him.
Jonouchi grins happily to help as he reminds him. ''I still got your back to protect the egg bag!''
''Egg bag?'' Sonic questions already thinking eggs were inside Yugi's backpack. Danny explains Yugi got an egg for his birthday. Sonic blinks as Yugi removes his backpack and opens it up, showing the strange egg to all.
''Oh cool!'' The blue hedgehog and most of his friends express never seeing it. Yugi nods blushing until Sonic snatches and holds the egg. The tricolor head panics as Alicia tries taking it away but the blue hedgehog dashes around her.
''Careful Sonic-kun, this is a special type of egg.'' Yugi warns him hoping he doesn't drop it. Sonic stops not realizing that and nods handing it back over. "I gotcha ya!''
Yugi sighs, stuffing the egg back inside the warm backpack, zipping up the bag. He carries it back on his back.
After Tails preps the teleporter portal and Honda wishes luck to everyone as he heads off, everyone is ready with making the calls. Amy made a bed that Ichigo can keep his body on though Kurosaki, sweat drops, says he'll be fine taking his body so everyone who won't fight to keep an eye on it.
''Tails, ready pal?'' Sonic asks as Tails is nearly- just now ready. ''All is set!''
Tails activates the machine as swirls of energy manifest and conduct throughout the device. Sonic smirks rubbing the underneath tip of his nose, proclaiming excitedly. ''Let's go everyone!''
Yugi nods as does everyone with Ruby shouting excitedly. ''YEA! BANZAI!''
Everyone sweat drops as they jump towards the portal, heading off to a whole new world. Yugi thinks on his own, hoping Shadow really is okay.
Will Yugi and the others be able to help Sonic save his world and Shadow too?

This mini-arc is short but will pack enough to cover character growth, lore and you know the gist. Plus it's a Sonic arc.
So next chapter I will cover up stuff on the Freedom Fighters and why Eggman is trying to conquer Earth rather than Mobius… spoiler: He wants to win something and he has too many enemies to fight back at his former home.
