Hello to all! This is Episode 26 of the new mini arc of Volume 5: Black Arms and a Promise Remembered!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, to his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 5: Episode 26: The Value of our Friendship! Erupt Passionately, the Black Magical Dragoon Swordsman!
In the previous episode of DKR:
As Yugi was trying to catch up to Shadow, he and Jonouchi are then confronted by Aigami who got in their way to taunt Yugi and when that didn't work, he sealed the two in a Dimension Duel. Not given a choice, Yugi and Jonouchi dueled Aigami in a 2v1 duel. Even when he was against a disadvantage, Aigami showed the danger of his Cubic Monsters overpowering the duo even when they summoned their Legendary Dragons.
Meanwhile the others were engaging the full force of the Black Arms and their overwhelming odds all while the Jackal Squad found and engaged the brainwashed Shadow in combat, doing their best to capture him.
Will Yugi and Jonouchi be able to defeat Aigami?
What will happen next?

The 2v1 Dimension Duel between Yugi and Jonouchi versus Aigami continues with Aigami preventing both duelists from even attacking and about to enter his turn again.

Jonouchi eyes his best buddy and worries that Aigami might get to him. He starts doubting that he really was an ass for bullying Yugi when he had basically no one to cling on or befriend. Maybe-
''I think I made it clear with you, Aigami-kun.'' His thoughts are cut off, eyeing Yugi lifting up his head, showing his serious yet determined purple eyes almost glowing.
''I won't give up on our world or on my friends.'' Yugi begins to tell Aigami off, not going to abandon those he loves and his world for his dream world. He then thinks of Kojan, wondering if this is a test if he can reach him but most of all reach Shadow too.
''I don't know what you did to Shadow-kun but…'' The young Dragon Knight then starts to say before he declares, going to trust in himself like Ichigo and everyone else believes in him too. ''I refuse to give up on him! I will never give up or turn my back on those that exist in my heart!''
Jonouchi watches silently but is amazed by his buddy. He slowly smiles, thinking he's an idiot. Even if he bullied him, he will repay him with his all as his strongest friend.
''And I refuse to give up on Yugi either!'' Jonouchi soon joins up shouting passionately in his words. Yugi eyes him and forms a small grin happily.
Aigami, however, drops his arm before answering him firmly. ''As you wish. Then regret it.''
Duel Screen: Turn 7_ Yugi: 7200LP H: 1 / Jonouchi: 7200LP H: 2 / Aigami: 3500LP H: 0
''My turn.'' Aigami shouts while drawing his top card. He eyes it before declaring. ''I banish Cubic Greed to add a Cubic Spell or Trap from my Deck to my hand.''
He adds another card into his hand. Aigami smirks as he then banishes another card from his Graveyard announcing. ''I banish Cubic Causality to target Buster Gundil. For this turn when it destroys a monster by battle with a Cubic Counter, my opponent takes damage equal to its original ATK.''
Jonouchi drops his jaw, uttering out loudly. ''You can't be serious?!''
Aigami smirks very seriously as proceeds to play the card he added. ''I'm not done. I activate the spell, Cubic Burst!''
The new card shows the image of Buster Gundil unleashing a swarm of Cubic Counters across the area.
''Cubic monsters I control gains 800 ATK and become unaffected by your card effects for the rest of this turn.'' Aigami explains his card's effect as his monsters shot up past 3000 ATK. Jonouchi gulps, worrying as even his new Hermos fusion weapon won't do anything.
"Well?" Aigami raises an eyebrow as Yugi begins taunting him with a small smirk. "Go on. Attack me."
Aigami startles with Jonouchi panicking extremely at first but then starts to realize that Yugi might be bluffing. Though, it doesn't change how tensed Jonouchi is right now.
''... Battle. Attack Gilti-Gearfried.'' Thinking that attacking Yugi would be dangerous, Aigami then orders as Buster Gundil's far right pillar begins glowing. ''Lasting Judgment!''
It unleashes a powerful beam of cubes at Jonouchi's monster. The darkened blond headed responds shouting. ''By destroying Aqua Blade, Gilti-Gearfried won't be destroyed!''
Gilti-Gearfried tosses his sword into the blast and negates. Aigami smirks at his smart thinking until he points out firmly. ''But now you can't use its effect to prevent effect damage.''
Jonouchi worries unease as Aigami then goes for a second attack. ''Now attack Gilti-Gearfried again!''
The far left pillar of Buster Gundil glows and fires the same identical blast at Jonouchi's warrior. He panics not having the means to stop this but Yugi had triggered his set card. ''Reverse Continuous Spell open, Dimension Guardian!''
His face-down card flips over as a large statue of a winged-like creature. Aigami staggers as the trap teleports over Gilti-Gearfried as the blast hits him.
''I equip it to Gilti-Gearfried, making Jonouchi-kun's monster from being destroyed by battle or card effect!'' Yugi explains as his trap guards Jonouchi's monster, surviving Buster Gundil's attack. Jonouchi sighs, thanking his friend with a thumb up. ''Thanks Yugi!''
Yugi nods, smiling. However, Aigami smirks revealingly. ''But now you'll be under my mercy. Buster Gundil, attack Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!''
Buster Gundil's middle pillar now glows and unleashes its powerful blast at Yugi's monster. Dark Magician Girl screams as the cubes consume her as did Timaeus, destroying both monsters.
''Now take double the damage.'' Aigami reminds him with a smug smirk. The cubes all come at Yugi who braces himself. The blast consumes him as Yugi yells out in agony. ''GAAAH!''
Jonouchi worries as he watches Yugi drop to a knee, his Life Points taking 5200 of damage. It drops to a mere 2000 remaining.
Aigami smirks as he proclaims. ''I hate to say farewell but the duel is over. Attack Indiora, destroy Dark Magician!''
Indiora releases massive sparks of electricity coursing through its body.
''Voltic End!'' Aigami orders as the Cubic Emperor opens its mouth and breathes out an electrical blast at Dark Magician. Yugi watches with a face of terror not able to stop this. Jonouchi notices this and thinks fast about what he could do. And then it is him realizing what he can do.
Jonouchi turns to the tricolor head and yells pointing at his set card. ''Yugi! Use my set card!''
The tricolor head snaps out and eyes Jonouchi's set card. He nods, smiling.
''Reverse card open!'' Yugi shouts as Jonouchi triggers his set card for his partner. The card flips over to Aigami's surprise.
''Emergency Provisions! Now Yugi can send a number of other Spell or Traps he controls to gain 1000 LP.'' Jonouchi reveals as his Quick-Play Spell glows as Yugi picks his card, smiling. ''I send Dimension Guardian!''
His trap vanishes as Yugi's Life Points go up to 3000. Indiora still hits and destroys Dark Magician as Yugi tanks the damage but he survives with 500LP remaining. Jonouchi sighs heavily that it worked out.
''Tch, lucky.'' Aigami, scoffing, just comments with a frown before ending his turn. ''Turn end.
Duel Screen: Turn 8_ Yugi: 500LP H: 1 / Jonouchi: 7200LP H: 2 / Aigami: 3500LP H: 1
Jonouchi pants heavily, not sure how they manage to survive that but they can't do anything due to Aigami's Cubic Denial. But worst is that Yugi lost his whole field for him as well as nearly all of his Life Points.
''Damn it, I didn't want you so much just to save me there, Yugi.'' He says feeling bad for how Yugi always saves his butt. Yugi just smiles and tells him. ''Maybe but we're a team. We're not giving up! Right?''
Jonouchi blinks before smiling and responds. ''You bet!''
Yugi is right, they're not beaten yet.
''My turn!'' Jonouchi shouts while drawing his top card. He eyes it and frowns a bit. It's a good card but Gilti-Gearfried can't do anything. He eyes his remaining options and sees a card that could help Yugi, if he has the other component. He grabs the card and tells Yugi, holding it. ''Yugi, use this card when you have the other.''
Yugi blinks as Jonouchi then declares setting both that card and his drawn card face-down on his field. ''I set 2 cards face-down. Turn end!''
Duel Screen: Turn 9_ Yugi: 500LP H: 1 / Jonouchi: 7200LP H: 1 / Aigami: 3500LP H: 1
Yugi eyes Jonouchi's first set card, thinking of what it could be from what he told him.
''That face-down card…'' He tells himself still thinking until it hits him. If it's that card, then… but it won't do much unless he can draw something else just as important and only one card comes to mind.
He eyes his remaining card and knows he needs to take a chance.
''My turn!'' Yugi shouts while drawing his top card. He eyes it and slowly smiles, getting exactly what he needs, proceeding to play it. ''I activate the spell, Monster Reborn! Revive, Dark Magician!''
Reemerging back to the field is Dark Magician.
Dark Magician Lvl 7 ATK: 2500 DEF: 2100
''It makes no difference. Your monsters can't win.'' Aigami points out as his Cubics still have greater attack and none of Yugi's monsters will be able to attack.
Yugi, however, cracks a smile protesting. ''Not along they can't.''
Aigami raises an eyebrow as the tricolor activates the last card in his hand. ''I activate the spell, Dark Magic Prophecy!''
Aigami watches as Yugi plays a card he hasn't used not since he dueled Ichigo's dad. Yugi smiles a bit, thinking of his Strawberry Kitten before he gets serious and explains his card's effect. ''When my Life Points are 1000 or less while I control Dark Magician, I can excavate the top 5 cards of my deck and then I can add up to 2 Spell Cards from the 4 cards into my hand. Then I shuffle and draw an additional card.''
Aigami scoffs at letting him proceed as it won't matter much. Yugi pulls out the top 4 cards of his deck and smiles, getting the 2 spells he needed. He reveals them briefly and adds them to his hand before placing the rest back to his deck, shuffling his Deck and draws a card.
He eyes it and smiles before declaring. ''I activate Jonouchi-kun's set card!''
Jonouchi grins, getting excited as he triggers it. The card flips over as he shouts, revealing it. ''Yu-Jo Friendship!''
Aigami stares puzzled at the artwork of that card. Yugi then explains smiling. ''Thanks to this amazing card, I offer a shake hand from Aigami-kun and then our Life Points become the total of half of the combine Life Points.''
''As interesting as that sounds, I pass.'' Aigami protests with a small smirk. Yugi, however, smirks back, responding as he reveals one of the cards he added into his hand. ''I knew you would say that which is I added this card, Unity.''
Aigami burrows an eyebrow to see the card. Jonouchi chuckles as he explains it. ''If Unity is in the player's hand, the other player must accept the handshake. In layman's terms: You ain't getting away with that one!''
''.. Clever.'' Aigami mutters not having a choice. Yugi walks up to him as Aigami does the same, the two stopping in the center. They face each other as Yugi lifts up his hand for a handshake. Aigami eyes his hand and shakes his hand briefly before turning his back to walk back to his side of the field. Yugi sighs, standing up beside Jonouchi.
''Now our Life Points become 5600 each.'' Yugi explains as all of their Life Points become the same amount. Aigami scoffs at this and states. "This only benefits me more than-''
''Jonouchi-kun, I'm borrowing Gilti-Gearfried.'' Ignoring his opponent, Yugi asks Jonouchi a favor who responds with a smile. ''The honor is all yours, Yugi!''
Yugi nods, smiling, grabbing a card in his hand and playing it, declaring passion. ''I activate the spell, Legend of Heart!''
The card materializes as it shines brightly. Aigami startles as Yugi explains. ''By paying 1000 of my Life Points, I release 1 Warrior monster on my field and banish Legendary Dragons with different names from our hand, Deck or Graveyard.''
Gilti-Gearfried vanishes from the field as two swords materialize in front of the holographic card. They shoot up to the sky before descending and hitting the ground. Bolts of energy shoot out from the swords as Yugi calls forth. ''Appear, knights of legend!''
The swords shine as lightning strikes and the swords are picked by two armored figures.
''Legendary Knight Timaeus!'' Yugi shouts as Timaeus in human form wields his sword.
''And you too, Legendary Knight Hermos!'' Jonouchi announces as Hermos in human form wields his own sword. Both Legendary Knights cross their swords against their enemy.

''Our Legendary Knights have the power to target and banish a face-up Spell or Trap Card.'' Yugi explains smiling to Aigami's dismay.
''Sword of Justice!'' Timaeus shouts swinging an energy slash as does Hermos. ''Sword of Renewal!''
The energy slashes hit both Cubic Plateau and Cubic Parallel, banishing them from the field. With the Field Spell gone, the area changes back to normal- well as normal as a Dimension Duel would be.
''Nice one Yugi!'' Jonouchi points out giving a thumbs up. Aigami glares across that his perfect field is ruined. Still he smirks confidently calling them out. ''Changes nothing. My monsters have greater attack.''
Now it's Jonouchi to protest as he shouts. ''Wrong! Reverse card open!''
His face-down card flips over and glows. ''Great Dice!''
The card materializes a fairy/devil monster being a split half of Graceful and Skull Dice but unlike Star Blaster, the Graceful Dice half is on the left and the Skull Dice half is on the right. They hold a die with 3 white-black dotted sides with all odds and a black white-dotted side with evens.
''Depending on where the die lands, it gains an effect!'' Jonouchi informs as the fairy-devil throws the dice up and lands rolling. Everyone watches as the die slowly stops landing on a 4. Jonouchi smirks at this declaration. ''4! Perfect! Now our monsters gain 400 ATK and your lose 800 until the End Phase!''
Aigami staggers as Yugi's monsters go up while his monsters drop back to where they were.
''Nice job Jonouchi-kun!'' Yugi tells his good friend with a thumbs up. Jonouchi chuckles while grinning.
Yugi nods as he commands, smiling. ''Battle! Timaeus, attack Buster Gundil!''
Timaeus comes charging at the Cubic Behemoth and slashes the monster with a powerful sword swing. The slash cuts through Buster Gundil, dismantling through its pillars disintegrating before exploding. Aigami yells taking 3000 of damage as Cubic Denial destroys itself. He waves his arm declaring. ''Buster Gundil lets me Special Summon 3 Cubic monsters from my Graveyard. Revive Vijams!''
From the destruction of the Cubic Behemoth reemerge the three Cubic Seeds.

''Next I add a Cubic card into my hand.'' Aigami then adds as he grabs a card from his deck. Yugi still isn't done as he orders with his remaining monster. ''Dark Magician, attack Indiora!''
Dark Magician leaps up as swirls as purple-black magical energy forms from the tip of his staff.
''Dark Magic!'' Yugi shouts as his magician swings his staff with the orb of magical energy and throws it at Indiora becoming a powerful blast. The magical blast hits through Indiora's main body, right through its mouth. Cubic Emperor stumps back with the large hole in its face-less body before it explodes. Aigami braces himself taking another 2400 of damage. He pants glaring enraged as Dark Magician descends and floats next to Yugi.
The tricolor head sighs of relief, proclaiming as he sets a card from his hand. "I set 1 card face down. Turn end.''
Jonouchi smirks, giving him a thumbs up. One more hit and they win this. However…
''Celebrating now huh?'' The two turn, facing Aigami who smirks before telling them. ''But go on while you two still can.''
Jonouchi gulps uneasily, really hating this jerk. Yugi remains calm as they will win this duel and then they'll help their friends.
Team Dragon Knight and the Freedom Fighters were still engaged with the Black Arms, doing their best to put them down but more began appearing.
Bunnie tries smashing the ground troopers with her rocket legs while Ed transmutes pillars, launching the Black Warriors up to the sky with Danny blasting them.
''BAN-KAI!'' Kurosaki shouts as he transforms into his Bankai form and dashes around the battlefield, slashing down multiple.
''Go, Storm Neos!'' Judai shouts with Elemental HERO Storm Neos, releasing bursts of wind upon the Black Arms as Antoine slashes them with his swords.
Ruby also dashes around the battlefield using her Semblance, slashing down multiple Black Arms into ribbons with her scythe. They shoot at her or try to slash her but Ruby disappears and slashes the ones coming at her. She comes dashing at the other, shouting as she spins around. ''ROSE TORNADO!''
She spins herself along with her Crescent Rose, becoming a rose petal tornado that blitzes and tears through all the Black Arms in front of her. Sonic whistles seeing this.
''I can do that too!'' He proclaims dashing in between a big group of aliens and spirals around, manifesting himself as a blue twisting tornado. ''BLUE TORNADO!''
He sucks up the aliens as he shreds them with great speed and force like a tornado.
Alicia fires her Blue Flame from long range, tearing through multiple Black Arms while Sailor Moon uses her powers to form a barrier to protect the others from sniper or rocket shots.
''MULTI-SHADOW CLONE TECHNIQUE!'' Naruto shouts creating an even larger army of 1000 Shadow Clones. They all charge with two clones creating a Rasengan for the other, ramming themselves at the Black Arms. ''RASENGAN BARRAGE!''
The Rasengans create explosions on impact. Antione watches this just left speechless by these humans.
''You should apologize about what you've said about Sonic's comrades.'' Bunnie teases the coyote who grunts blushing.
Sonic looks around to see his friends doing their part, even Big uses his rod to fish out Black Warriors towards either Knuckles to smash them or Amy to flatten them. He smirks as they're winning as he dashes right next to Ruby just slashing down another Black Warrior.
He tugs on her cloak as he tells her. ''Hey Red Riding Hood, we got this!''
Ruby blinks, turning behind to see the blue hedgehog who adds with a smirk. ''Go find Yugi and Human Knuckles.''
''I HEARD THAT!'' Knuckles yells slamming both fists into a Black Arms as did Naruto yelling just as man punching his own. ''AND I'M HERE ALREADY YA KNOW!''
Ruby just smiles but before she heads off Sonic tosses her something. She catches it and blinks as it's a white glowing emerald gem.
''And give that to Yugi. He knows what he has to do with it.'' Sonic advises her with a wink. Ruby nods promisingly as she dashes off. She only hopes Yugi and Jonouchi are okay.
Will she be able to find them?
Commercial Break:
Jonouchi: Yugi and I will make a miracle and beat you for good!
Ichigo: Yugi and Jonouchi better be somewhere fighting.
The Jackal Squad has secured and wrapped a struggling brainwashed Shadow in the Chaos suppressing wires. Zero should be relieved they won… but something was still off.
"That went easy huh boss?'' One of the Jackals tells their leader who remains stoic and silent. Eventually Zero gazes at his team and orders them. ''… Call It in.''
One of the Jackals nods, pulling out a communicator and begins announcing from his end to the kingdom. ''Hey, we got Shadow. Reporting for trans-''
Just then a beam of red energy flies out and strikes through the communicator, destroying it in an instant. This startles the other Jackals except Zero gazing at the direction at where it came from, spotting the sinister yellow pupil eyes gazing at them.
''No can do it seems, organisms.'' The pair of eyes speaks in a rather taunting voice. Zero scoffs, figuring as much as calling him out. ''Figure as much. And you are-''
''I'm death.'' Zero widens his eyes as the figure is now right behind him, smirking as he dashes at one of the closest other Jackals and jabs his hand right into his chest, bursting through it. The Jackal widens his eyes gasping with Zero turning and widens his eyes. The strange alien-like creature smirks, pulling back his hand as the Jackal drops, dead.
''UNO!'' Zero screams in terror as the other Jackals are horrified.
''YOU BASTARD!'' One of the Jackals yells out furious charging at him. The alien looks at him approaching and lifts his hand, firing a red Chaos Spear that stabs through the unexpected Jackal. He gasps as the alien dashes right in front of him, grabbing him by the face and fires another red burst, blasting through the back of his head.
''DEUX!'' Zero yells out terrified as the alien tosses the second Jackal he's killed. Zero growls furious howling. ''FORMATION!''
The last two Jackals join up with their leader taking on a 3 group formation. They come charging at the enemy with their blades, swinging at him. The alien just stands his ground and slowly smirks as time seems to freeze up. Zero slowly widens his eyes as this was Chaos Control. How?! How could this creature be able to use that power?!
''Pathetic weaklings.'' The alien proclaims taking a step forward, ignoring Zero and instead jabs both his hands right through the chest of the other two Jackals. They couldn't feel a thing due to time still frozen as he grabs and squeezes their hearts before tossing them into a tree each. He now gazes upon Zero and stomps his foot across him, sending him crashing into a rock. Time resumes as all 3 feel the impact and the two sadly die.
Zero emerges, bleeding out of the rock, glaring mad at the monster until he sees the dead bodies of his fallen comrades.
''Trois, Quatre…'' He utters in dismay. The jackal leader is left in distress, struggling as blood pours down from his head from the impact. Zero had lost his team, his fellow jackals, his comrades; his family. The last image of them feasting for their last mission's success before it too turns into ashes.
The alien creature forms a smirk proclaiming. ''Truly weak.''
He walks up to the still chained up Shadow, taunting him too. ''Just like you Shadow.''
Responding to that mockery, Shadow's body begins to erupt in a red aura. He lets out a shock and releases a burst of his Chaos power, snapping and dissolving the wires with his mere power. Zero startles heavily not expecting the wires would backfire that hard.
''Oh never mind then.'' The alien starts with a smirk, now ordering him seriously glaring at the last jackal. ''Finish him.''
Shadow turns his gaze upon Zero and disappears. Zero widens his eyes as Shadow appears right beside him, teleported, and kicks him so hard into the sky. Zero screams as he's kicked again by Shadow and over and over, teleporting all over where the jackal is sent flying like a pinball before slamming both his fists downward on his back, sending him back to the ground. However Shadow teleports once more in front of him before he touches the ground and kicks him hard into a rock wall.
Zero gasps loudly implanted on its surface showing the small crater. He groans, losing his senses but before he falls, Shadow swings his right arm and fires a Chaos Spear. It strikes his face directly and explodes on impact.
''GAHHHH!'' A bleeding Zero screams as he is slammed right through the wall and into a cave, crashing onto multiple boulders.
Shadow soon lands with his arms crossed. The alien smirks gazing at the hole of the cave and declares evilly. ''Weak.''
He vanishes as Shadow resumes walking alone.
Left in a broken and damaged state, Zero groans weakly unable to hold himself conscious. His face was covered by his blood and a wound across his face. He struggles to move with only his right arm free. He was going to die in this cave with no one to rescue him. He lost everything, his team, his pride, his life.
Gasping for breath, Zero's hate boils, losing what gave him purpose and mocked for whom, for what he was.
''I…'' Trying to grip on anything with the little energy he had to move his right arm, gripping on anything to pull him out of the boulder.
''I…'' Zero continues to utter remembering her dead comrades, each one murder before him. ''Am not…''
Hearing the mockery of that monster, the jackal refuses to break and shatter into an insignificant, unimposing trash. He is not. HE IS NOT!
Clinching his fingers angrily, he utters out refusing to become that for the comrades he has failed. ''Weak…''
He reaches and grips on something unexpected, a strange gem-like ruby. The strange gem starts glowing, responding to Zero's will as swirls of red and black energy manifest around it, almost reading his mind of where to take him. The energy swallows up the dazed Zero before he finally loses unconsciousness.
All the Civilians of Mobotropolis were still taking shelter inside the Acorn Castle, praying that these invaders are defeated and they can live their lives back to peace.
Soldiers march across each part of the castle in case the enemy tries a sneak attack in groups of 5. However one group comes across a sudden swirl of red and black energies to their shock. They grip on their spears thinking it was the enemy but the energy vanishes and reveals a badly injured Zero on the ground, gripping on the strange gem now glowing in an ominous red-black glow.
''What the-'' One of the soldiers utters out as the leader recognizes the jackal and widens his eyes, calling out for help. ''MEDIC! WE NEED A MEDIC!''
The duel continues as Aigami has had it. He won't tolerate losing again, not when he was so close to winning. He will win here and now.

''My turn!'' Aigami shouts while drawing his top card. He eyes his options and refuses to lose like this, banishing a card from his Graveyard.
''I banish Cubic Denial from my Graveyard, returning all Cubic cards I control back to my hand.'' Aigami reveals as all of his Cubic Seeds leave the field and return into his hand. Jonouchi just had this confused face not following this.
Aigami wasn't done banishing another card as he declares. ''Next I banish Cubic Parallel, adding a Cubic card from my Graveyard or banished to my hand.''
He adds back Cubic Causality into his hand. Aigami soon smirks revealing 3 Cubic cards, declaring. ''I reveal a Vijam the Cubic Seed, Cubic Causality and Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord from my hand!''
Yugi watches seriously expecting as much.
''Consume this vile world with your own corruption and destroy all sin!'' Aigami chants as purple cubes manifest underneath him as they shoot upward, gathering together and becoming something out of a nightmare.
''Reveal yourself, Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord!'' Aigami calls upon as materializes before them is his sinister Cubic Lord monster.
Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord Lvl 10 ATK: 3000 DEF: 0
''Great, this thing.'' Jonouchi mutters really hating that thing. But it gets worse as Aigami reveals three more cards calling forth. ''I reveal Vijam the Cubic Seed, Cubic Causality and Cubic Path from my hand to Special Summon another Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord from my hand!''
Jonouchi drops his jaw as another Dark Cubic Lord appears beside the first one.
Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord Lvl 10 ATK: 3000 DEF: 0
''He can summon 2 of them?!'' The darkened blond headed questions out loud taken back by this. Yugi didn't know that either, making their situation worse. Aigami smirks as he plays the card he revealed. ''I equip my first Crimson Nova with the Equip Spell, Cubic Path!''
The first Crimson Nova is surrounded by Cubic Counter cubes in an infinity-like pattern.
''While equip, Cubic Path prevents my opponent to attack monsters of the same name as the equipped monster.'' Aigami explains with a smug smirk once more creating a wall to prevent attacks. Yugi glares annoyed as their chances to win will be much harder.
Aigami then orders grinning softly. ''Battle. Crimson Nova, attack Dark Magician!''
Crimson Nova flies, extending back its scythe-like arm right at Yugi's magician but the tricolor head was ready for it.
''Reverse card open, Shift Dimension!'' Yugi shouts, triggering his set card. It flips over showing the image of dimensions being swapped with one and another by a large structure resembling a scale.
The very same cosmic scale manifests on the field as Yugi explains smiling. ''By banishing a card I control until the End Phase, my opponent must first attack monsters we control. I banish Dark Magician.''
Dark Magician just waves as he disappears from the field. Aigami glares frustrated as Yugi then adds the other part of his trap's effect. ''And also I'm able to redirect your attack target or effect target to another card we control. And I choose Hermos.''
The trap glows around Hermos as Crimson Nova now comes at the Legendary Knight with its sharp claw blade arm. Jonouchi then declares smirking. ''Now I can use Hermos' effect, banishing Command Knight and next Hermos gains that Effect Monster's effect until the End Phase!''
He banishes Command Knight as Hermos is overwhelmed in fiery aura.
''And since Hermos now has Command Knight's effect, all our Warrior monsters gain 400 ATK and you can't target it for an attack.'' Jonouchi explains with a smirk as he points to smirking. ''So the attack is redirected to Timaeus!''
Now Crimson Nova is stopped and turns to Timaeus, firing a cube-like blast from its cube head. However Timaeus shot up to 3200 ATK, more than enough to overcome this.
''And Timaeus' effect sets a Spell Card from our Graveyard to my field.'' Yugi adds as he sets a face-down card onto his field.
Timaeus swings his sword right through the energy blast and fires his own energy slash at Crimson Nova, striking through it, wounding the Cubic Lord. However Aigami declares. ''Cubic Path's effect prevents the destruction of a Cubic monster once per turn.''
The spell glows as the Dark Cubic Lord glows, regenerating its wounds fully. This really disturbed Jonouchi a lot.
''If you're done beating me, I set a card and a monster face down. I end my turn.'' Aigami declares, setting cards face-down on his field, finishing his turn until he adds with a smirk. ''I now activate Crimson Nova's effect, inflicting 3000 of damage to all of us.''
Crimson Nova releases a devastating wave upon all duelists, hitting Yugi and Jonouchi who yell out push back. They took the damage but Aigami was completely unscratched and suddenly revealed. ''Well almost, Cubic Path reduces all effect damage done to me as 0.''
Jonouchi groans, hating this guy. As the turn ends, Dark Magician reappears back on Yugi's field.

''Damn it…'' Jonouchi curses upsetly, hating their odds. They can't attack again and have to deal with those Crimson Novas. Basically they can't do a thing until Aigami's turn in which he'll end his turn and then they're finished.
''Relax Jonouchi-kun, we're not beaten yet.'' Yugi reinforces him with a calm voice, already having a plan to win this duel. But this plan will only work if Jonouchi can bring out one more important piece to the field.
''There's only one way to win.'' The tricolor head says as he asks for his friend's help. ''But I need Red-Eyes on the field.''
Jonouchi blinks not following but if Red-Eyes will help them settle this then it's worth the chance.
''You got it Yugi!'' He responds by eyeing his top card. If he can't draw it, then they're finished. He gulps taking a chance and shouts drawing. ''My turn!''
Jonouchi draws his top card, hesitating to look at it but ultimately peaks at the card and slowly forms a grin.
''YES!'' He yells out excitedly getting exactly what he needs and proceeds to summon it. ''I summon the Black Stone of Legend!''
A black dragon stone with fiery red veins appears on the field with a small crack on the top.

''I activate the Black Stone of Legend's effect, releasing itself to bring out my ace!'' Jonouchi declares shouting as his stone glows erupting in flames. Aigami watches this and eyes his set card, no point in stopping such a weak card.
''Burn passionate, Red-Eyes Black Dragon!'' Jonouchi calls forth as the flames blow away revealing the black dragon of potential, blowing the flames with its wings and roaring loudly.
Red-Eyes Black Dragon Lvl 7 ATK: 2400 DEF: 2000
Jonouchi lets out a sigh, eyeing Yugi who tells him smiling. ''I got the rest, thank you!''
The darkened blond headed now calling it a turn. ''I end my turn!''
Duel Screen: Turn 12_ Yugi: 1600LP H: 1 / Jonouchi: 2600LP H: 1 / Aigami: 200LP H: 4
''I don't know what you two are planning but there is nothing you two can do.'' Aigami suddenly speaks up, finding no reason they will survive now. Yugi gazes at him and protests strongly. ''That's where you're wrong.''
He eyes Jonouchi and smiles grateful for the friendship they build, something he could never replace or toss aside for.
''Jonouchi-kun and I, when we work together, no one can beat us!'' Yugi speaks passionately, believing in their bond. ''That's why we won't lose to you! My turn, draw!''
He draws his top card and without looking at it, Yugi shouts, triggering the set card he got from Timaeus' effect. ''I activate the set card, Polymerization! With it, I fuse my Dark Magician with Jonouchi-kun's Red-Eyes Black Dragon!''
''What?'' Aigami utters out in surprise. Both Dark Magician and Red-Eyes Black Dragon fly at each other as a fusion portal manifests between them and start merging them.
''Passionate flames of courageous friendship! Let your dark magical flames defeat everything that opposes you!'' Jonouchi chants zealous as flames burn through the fusion portal with Yugi adding ferment too. ''Fusion Summon! The Ultimate Magical Dragoon Swordsman!''
The raging dark flames exploding in bright red flashes as Yugi shouts passionately. ''Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!''
Emerging out of the flames and red swirls of energy is a new monster, spreading and flapping his dragon wings. The male figure resembles Dark Magician with black sharp under eye markings with dragon-like red eyes. He wears what resembles the Dark Magician outfit but more dragon-like with pure black with elegant golden lining almost like scales with red orbs across the outfit with a long dragon tail, spikes across the legs, shoulder pads with sharp ends with claws, sharp bladed elbow arms on each arm and the head of Red-Eyes Black Dragon around the head of Dark Magician showing its fangs. He wields the sword of Dark Paladin except more dragon-like and the same color design with the end of the weapon being a dragon's claw paw. The new monster stands serious and badass as he flaps his swings, releasing bursts of red magical flames at the Crimson Novas and Aigami.
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon Lvl 8 ATK: 3000 DEF: 2500
Jonouchi just stares speechless, eyeing the new monster, finding it so much more powerful than what he was expecting.
''Awesome. Is this mine and Yugi's friendship?'' Jonouchi questions, taken back, that their bonds could create such a badass monster. Yugi smiles, hoping he finds the monster so badass too.
Aigami scoffs, not caring in the slightest as he declares. ''Impressive new monster but pointless! I activate my set card, Cubic Causality!''
Jonouchi panics as the trap flips over glowing.
''A shame but your efforts-'' Aigami begins to taunt them but this time it was Yugi interrupting discarding Unity from his hand, declaring. ''By discarding a card, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon negates your card activation, destroys it and then he gains 1000 ATK!''
Dark Dragoon holds up his free left arm as swirls of red, cross-shaped sphere energy orb manifests in the palm of his hand. He points it at Aigami's trap and the sphere vanishes, actually teleported in the middle of Aigami's card and explodes on impact. Aigami is taken back as the sphere goes back to Dark Dragoon, coursing his power in energy as he shoots up to 4000 ATK.
Aigami sweats but he isn't worried as Cubic Path has secured his win. Yugi turns to Jonouchi and instructs him with a smile. ''Jonouchi-kun, use your Great Dice's other effect.''
Jonouchi blinks and nods doing just that. "Got it! I banish Great Dice and now I roll a die.''
The same black-white dice materializes and falls on the ground, rolling.
''Depending on where it lands, a monster on the field has its ATK increase or decrease equal to the side the die lands on as its original ATK.'' Jonouchi explains as the die starts rolling. And most important it is non-targeting.
The die then lands on a 5 with Jonouchi shouting excitedly. ''5, nice!''
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon now becomes 4500 original ATK. Yugi didn't need anything but a 1 to end the duel, proclaiming strongly. ''This duel is over.''
Aigami raises an eyebrow puzzled by what he meant. Raising his arm forward, Yugi shouts passionately. ''Dark Dragoon's effect activates!''
Dark Dragoon's eyes glow as he twirls his bladed weapon as it glows a thin red energy across the blade.
''Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon destroys a monster my opponent controls and then my opponent takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK.'' Jonouchi explains their monster's destructive effect, Aigami just laughs slightly before telling them. ''Futile, Crimson Nova is unaffected by monster effects-''
He then suddenly stops himself with widened eyes with Yugi now reminding him. ''By monsters with an original ATK of 3000 or less. Exactly that!''
Now Jonouchi shouts ordering their fused monster. ''Burn passionate with our friendship! Dark Mega Magic Flare!''
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon lets out a roar-like shout as he swings his blade, unleashing a fiery red blast right at the first Crimson Nova, blasting through it.
''Cubic Path, once per turn, prevents the destruction of a Cubic monster I control.'' Aigami counters as his spell forms a cube-like barrier blocking the attack on its tracks. Crimson Nova remains untouched with Aigami saying with a smirk. ''Nice try.''
Yugi, however, smirks back questioning him. ''You sure about that?''
Aigami eyes him concerned as Jonouchi then reveals also smirking. ''Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon; not only cannot be targeted by either of us or destroyed by card effects, can use its destruction effect a number of times per the number of Normal Monsters used for its Fusion Summon.''
''What?!'' Aigami shouts in terror as Dark Dragoon lets out a shout-like roar, echoing as his body glows a red outline.
''Once more, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's effect!'' Yugi commands as he points at Aigami's monster. ''Finish it, Dark Mega Magic Flare!''
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon swings his weapon and unleashes another red fiery energy blast right at Crimson Nova, consuming it entirely. Aigami watches helplessly as Crimson Nova explodes and he screams consumed by the explosion. ''GAAH!''
Aigami is tossed and drops on his back as his Life Points 0.
Duel Screen: Winners… Yugi Mutou: 1600 LP & Jonouchi Katsuya: 2600LP vs. Aigami: 0LP
Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon swirls his blade as he vanishes along with the Legendary Knights and the last Dark Cubic Lord.
Aigami grunts in pain, getting badly hurt. Jonouchi chuckles as he declares flexing his right arm at him. ''Don't ever underestimate our bond!''
Yugi nods seriously. Aigami gets up panting but begins laughing to their surprise.
''So I have but nonetheless that bond, those friendships won't do any good if you can't help save your so-called friend.'' Aigami declares taunting Yugi on his strength, knowing he won't save the black hedgehog. Jonouchi growls madly but Yugi finally speaks up with a firm face. ''… We will save Shadow-kun because I know how!''
Aigami raises an eyebrow not following but Jonouchi knows. He knows his friend better than anyone and is aware how he met Shadow, figuring that will be the key again.
''Yugi, go. I'll slow you down.'' Jonouchi encourages his friend knowing he won't find him if they travel together. The tricolor head eyes him and ultimately smiles though he says. ''… Thank you, but I'm not leaving you alone either.''
Just then Yugi forms a Dragon Clone startling Jonouchi who quickly calms down just remembering. ''Oh right, Dragon Clones.''
He chuckles nervously rubbing the back of his head. Yugi smiles as he tells him. ''Be back soon!''
Yugi soon runs off with Dragon Speed Burst, vanishing in a hurry. Jonouchi sighs, hoping Yugi does snap that moody hedgehog back to his senses.
''Yugi Mutou…'' Aigami mutters, more and more fascinated how a mere human bullied and treated poorly for almost all of his childhood would care more for others than himself. He scoffs slightly, uttering out. ''Next time then…''
Jonouchi turns to see Aigami vanishing with the power of the Quantum Cube. He grunts, enraged. ''Man, that guy is a sour loser.''
''… I think it's more than that.'' The Dragon Clone states with a sadden voice. Jonouchi eyes him, knowing a clone is basically Yugi regardless. Wonder what he meant by that.
''THERE YOU GUYS ARE!'' The two blink as a red blur stops in front of them and it was Ruby, panting heavily. She was looking for them everywhere and just found them, so relieved as she breathed.
Jonouchi sighs as they are finally found telling the Dragon Clone. ''Guess you can tell the real Yugi the good news.''
The Dragon Clone winks as he prepares to poof away but Ruby stops him, showing him the Chaos Emerald. The clone startles as Ruby tells him. ''Sonic gave me this. Said to give it to you and you'll know what to do with it.''
The Dragon Clone nods accepting the emerald and runs off using Dragon Speed Burst.
Ruby eyes Jonouchi, puzzled by what happened. He scratches the back of his head and just tells her. "Long story Ruby, we got to get to the others.''
Ruby still blinks confused but nods. The two head off with Ruby leading him where the others are.
Rouge and Omega continue their search after completely destroying the Black Arms that had attacked them.
The giant robot's eyes start flashing and beeping red as he announces. ''I have detected Shadow. He is close.''
Rouge smiles as she taunts the robot taking flight. ''Let's go then big guy.''
Omega obeys as the two head off with him leading the way.
However will Yugi be able to reach and help restore Shadow?

Will Yugi appear to help them on time?
