Chapter Nine
As Hermione walked out of the room, Minerva took a seat beside my bed. As I pushed myself up I realised the stiffness and pain I had felt upon waking up was gone now.
I had realistically only been awake for one full day but my magic and it seems my inner wolf was working in tandem to heal my broken body. I could feel the older womans nerves from beside me and as I looked at her expectantly she got even more nervous.
"Seeing you battle your sister and Greyback filled me with so much pride. I always knew your capabilities were extraordinary but I had no idea exactly how strong you were." I didn't know what to say to her but I knew the words she spoke were genuine.
"As much as I appreciate it Minerva, and there is some inner child part of me that is happy that I have made you proud. It wasn't my intention to lose control of it, when I looked at Bella I seen everything she did to Hermione that day at the Manor and I saw red." I grasped my wrist with one hand before she took my hand in her own.
"I am not bothered about Greyback, I took his life and I would do it again because of all the lives he has destroyed throughout the years. Bella however, is my sister, she used to defend me to bullies, she always stood in my corner until Tom Riddle got his hooks into her. When I was holding her by the neck in the courtyard I wanted so badly to snap it there and then and that terrified me. The fact that I could be capable of that kind of violence against someone I used to call family." Minerva took my face in her hands and stood directly in front of me and smiled.
" You didn't Narcissa, you spared your sister." I shook my head at the formidable witch in front of me.
" No I didn't. I sentenced her to a fate worse than death. I know all of the despicable things that she has done more than most, the Longbottoms, Sirius, my son and Hermione being among them. She will feel the agony of every kill and every life she has taken. So what is worse, someone who has the capacity to kill in a humane way or someone who has the capacity to make someone live their life inside their own heads and being tortured whilst doing it?" Minervas eyes were full of sympathy for me in that moment but as she held me in for a hug.
" Listen to me, you are not a bad person. You have had a difficult life Narcissa but you have the largest heart of anyone I know. That is exactly the kind of trait that makes me want to ask you to be my new Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher." I pulled back from her and honestly thought she had lost her marbles.
"Minerva, I am a werewolf now. The parents will revolt if you hire me." She shook her head and held out an issue of the Daily Prophet which looked like something out of a horror movie. There was a large picture of me which I know was taken from someones memory and not a live shot.
I was covered head to toe in blood and purple and blue lights were floating all around my body as I cast my barage of spells at Bella. I looked terrifying and impressive.
The article went on to compare what Wizarding Society thought of me before which was a meek little pureblooded housewife, now though they knew me as the woman who lied to Voldemort, the woman whom betrayed the Cause for love.
"That is what people think of when they see you Narcissa. A warrior who would fight to the death for their children's lives. I have gathered a new board of governers, all of which are either ex educators, ex parents of students or current parents of students and the vote was unanimous Narcissa, you even manged to convince Augusta Longbottom."I shook my head at the woman and laughed at that.
"Cuthburt Binns perished in the battle and as such we are in need of History of Magic professor, I have therefore planned to combine two subjects and create a whole new subject which will be compulsory up to OWL level. Muggle Studies and History of magic will be completely combined to allow Purebloods and Muggleborn students to learn about each others, world and customs." I realistically thought it was a good idea, it would certainly bridge the gap between the two worlds, it would ease the Muggleborns into their new world and allow the Purebloods to broaden their own knowledge also.
"I have asked Remus to take over again as a Professor, he will not live here at the castle as he is a new father. Nymphadora and he have bought a small home together and so he will FLOO into the castle for lessons. He with a group of students are helping to build the Curriculum. Purebloods, Halfbloods and Muggleborn or raised students and ex students are assiting with that." I nodded my head at the woman in understanding, Minerva Mcgonagall will bring Hogwarts into the new modern world and I for one can't wait to see what that looks like.
"Ok, it is getting late so I will leave you be. I will inform the elves to get the Defense Professor Quarters ready for you." I nodded and thanked her as she left me alone to my thoughts. Never in my life did I think I would ever be a, Professor but I suppose the war has changed a lot of things. Why not create the impossible.

Hermione
After leaving the hospital wing I made my way down to the dungeons to see Severus. I had spent some evenings helping him brew for the school and year ahead. He had also recieved a contract with St Mungos whom had been dealing with the high werewolf population.
A ward had been created for them all and as most of them were young children at least the ones whom survived Greyback, a new motion had been passed for underage Wolfsbane to be freely given and Severus had been given the contract to create it.
He had taught me the best way to brew it and I helped him with Cauldrons and Cauldrons of the stuff. After that was over I reatocked the Hospital Wing, I don't think he would be aversed to my company this evening.
It wasn't surprising that he already had the door opened and was, standing above a cauldron completely engrossed but he must have heard my footsteps and called me into the room with a wave of his hand.
He was writing in a notebook with what looked like a biro pen and looking between the cauldron and a list of something. I hadn't seen him so engrossed in something before now but he was really distracted.
"Severus, what are you doing?" He looked up at me and smiled before throwing his arms around me in an uncharacteristic hug. I wasn't complaining but the large shit eating grin that was plastered on his face.
"I have been working on it since the first war and I think I've bloody done it." I didn't wait for him to elaborate and instead saw him whip out his wand and cast his Patronus. The ethereal doe galloped around the room before coming to stand in front of him.
"Mr Longbottom, please come down to the dungeons I have something to show you." It soon went off to find its recipient as Severus started to put the potion in vials.
There was four vials in total and I wasn't too sure whom they were all for but once the door opened and Neville came into the room and waved at me the Potions master got even more confused. Gone was the bumbling boy whom couldn't even look at him. Instead his back was straight and he walked with confidence to the older man.
"Is everything ok Professor?" The older man just nodded at his before handing him two vials and took two himself.
"The project I was telling you about, I completed it. It was actually Hermione when she saved me from the snake that gave me the idea." I was so confused but when I saw tears in Nevilles eyes I realised what had happened.
Severus had figured out a, way to heal the Longbottoms mind. It was something he had been working on since the first war it seems.
" I was wondering if I could accompany you to St Mungos to try it out?" The young man nodded and I bid them farewell and good luck with a hug to Neville as they left. I aimlessly started walking around and as I was making my way back toward the hospital wing I was surprised to see Narcissa walking toward me.
She had a huge beautiful smile etched on her face and she threw her arms around my body and pressed a slow and sensuous kiss against my lips. As she ran her tongue along my bottom lip I could feel the cold stone press against the bottom of my back as she pushed me against the wall.
"Not that I am complaining but what was that for?" She just shook her head at me and pulled out a blindfold from her pocket and wrapped it around my head before nibbling at the ear.
"Do you trust me?" I nodded my head as her soft lips ran down the length of my neck and she wrapped her hand in my own.
"I want to show you something." She pulled my body close and slowly guided me away from the hospital wing to what I was guessing was somewhere close because it took us under five minutes to get there.
A door clicking open and shutting behind me could be heard and she slowly guided me up another small flight of stairs before opening another door and I could feel warmth from a fire hit my body which I hadn't realised was cold.
"Are you ready?" I nodded as she pulled the blindfold from my eyes and it took me a second to adjust, we were standing in a circular room which broke of at the far side and at either side of two doors sat bookshelves full to the brim of books and ancient tomes.
There was a large stone fire with a couch and two chairs in front of it, that was basically all of the space that was occupied everything else was bare. One of the doors was open and I could see a large rectangular bathtub that sank into the floor almost like an infinity pool. The other door was closed but I had never been in this room before at least not to my knowledge.
"Where are we?" She, sat the blindfold down against the back of the couch and smiked nervously at me.
"Private Quarters of the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Minerva has offered me the post for next year and I have accepted. I was hoping you wouldn't mind staying here with me?" I couldn't stop the smile that overcame my face and I just walked the two strides to her and pushed her against the back of the couch.
" I would love to stay here with you." She smiled agaisnt my lips and I quickly pulled off her outer robes leaving her in a, pair of what looked like my blue jeans and t-shirt. She looked so fucking sexy and I just wanted to devour her, she went to take me by the hand and lead me to the last room but I held steadfast and shook my head.
My hand pulled the t-shirt from her body to find no bra and I could only hope she wasn't wearing anything under the jeans also. I popped open the button and pulled them hard and needy from her legs, I was met with no other material and I waved my wand to lock and ward her door to ensure no more interruptions.

I could see there was a fire lit in this, room aswell and I needed to thank the, elves as it was decorated in candles floating all over the room.
"Take off your clothes and lie on the bed." Her tone was monotonous but she stood at the now closed bedroom door and watched me as I walked over to the four poster and toed off my shoes. I was, wearing a pair of yoga pants and a tank top, all in all it didn't take, me long to be left in my underwear, she, seemed to smirk at me and nodded for my underwear also.
My bra and panties soon followed suit before she, slowly walked over to me and nudged me slightly, my legs hit the edge of the matress and I sat down on it. She stood above me looking as intimidating as ever and I realised the nerves, were now like a stampede through my stomach into my groin.

"That's wonderful my love. I would love for you to stay here with me next year. I know apprentices have their own quarters but I don't think I could bear waking up without you every morning." I just nodded as realistically I don't think I could either.
"I'm not going anywhere." We spent the rest of the evening and night making love, even though it was a nice change to add in a penis, I much preferred Narcissa own body, we fell asleep in a sweaty tangled mess around four am and I knew this was what I needed in life.
