Hello to all! This is Episode 30 of the mini arc of Volume 5: A Parent's Sin!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, to his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 5: Episode 30: The Past Repeats Itself! Seto's Confrontation!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Kisara went to see Ichigo having heard about her injuries and Mokuba gladly helps her to meet her friend. However, the limo they were in was attacked and the two were knocked out and taken while Kaiba was doing his own investigation on who Dark Leader Dragon could be until he learned what had happen to his brother and his friend.
Meanwhile Yugi was visiting Ichigo slowly back on her feet until their sweet moment was ruin with the arrival of Ed and Al's teacher, Izumi, confronting both brothers for leaving Artemis but things were resolved... but then things only got worse when Kaiba arrived, demanding for Yugi's help having to do with Mokuba and Kisara. Yugi accepted as did Ruby energetic and Alicia. The Elric Brothers had no choice but to come by Izumi's demand. Ichigo stayed behind wishing them luck.
The group investigated the attacked limo and unconscious driver with Yugi suspicious that this is not the Dark Lord's doing. Kaiba leaded the group able to detect Mokuba through his emergency tracking device. As they do however, Mokuba woke up to see Kisara inside a strange machine-like tube and a strange man plotting to use her to achieve Seto's true goals?
Who could this man be and why is he doing this?
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... last left off in the previous episode:
Leading the group he doesn't care about except for the tricolor head, Kaiba follows Mokuba's tracking device down to the sewers. Ruby groans tugging on her cloak to not touch the smelly, disgusting sewer mush.
Eventually the group comes across a dead end. Kaiba scoffs as his visor headset can see what they can't see. He touches the wall and soon presses a switch. The wall before them shakes and opens up, revealing a long hallway with steel, glowing machine walls. The others startle as Kaiba proceeds entering the hallway. They follow in suit, looking around them as the hallway widens in size.
Ruby looks around even more astonished as she questions excitedly. "Are we in some super-secret sewer that will lead to a secret headquarters of an evil, mysterious organization or a militia group plotting evil stuff?''
''Shut her up Yugi.'' Kaiba immediately orders Yugi who sweat drops. Alicia, going to regret speaking up, asks him. ''You know, you seem to not like women.''
Kaiba scoffs at her stupid question, simply replying back coldly. ''I don't like anyone. Men or women, except children. Only a few have earned my respect that I can even consider talking to.''
Alicia then forms a grin and asks in a teasing manner. ''Like Kisara?''
Kaiba stops on his tracks to everyone's confusion. He turns gazing at the so-called soldier-baker-Valkyria girl with such a cold look who looks back at him calmly.
''Don't push your luck with me just because you're this ''Valkyria''.'' Kaiba threatens her firmly, not afraid of her powers or skills as a soldier. Alicia sighs, able to see him and tells him smiling. ''I'm not. I can tell you're just worry for her.''
Kaiba staggers to think this woman said that.
''That and Ichigo shares.'' Alicia then adds, still smiling. Kaiba scoffs, turning his back from her, simply saying in his own way. ''Cocky for a baker.''
Alicia giggles while taking the compliment. She could tell this man just needs someone to treat him differently, even if it meant as a mom… hopefully no one jokes about Alicia being like a mom.
Izumi would immediately smack this man if he was Edward but it's not her place to discipline someone she just met. She eyes Yugi and tells him. ''Your friend is friendly.''
Yugi lets out a chuckle nervously telling her. ''Kaiba-kun is special is all, Izumi-kun.''
Izumi raises an eyebrow by his honorific, especially that one.
''Kid, what was your name again?'' She questions him. The tricolor just smiles telling her politely. ''Yugi Mutou, sorry about how we met.''
''… None taken.'' Izumi responds with a small smirk. Sig didn't say much though that name Mutou, it's the same as that man. Is this his son?
''I see why you like him Ed.'' Izumi tells her student who smirks simply answering her. ''Well he's the only guy who respects my height.''
And immediately Edward enters in one of his rants before anyone would mock him. ''AND YES I SAID IT AND DON'T YOU DARE TELL ICHIGO!''
''Right!'' Ruby responds happily, going though giggles. However as the group steps inside, the special alarms of the base trigger.
The laboratory starts ringing in alarms and flashing red. A soldier runs to the screen and alarms his leader of the image of uninvited guests. ''Sir, we have intruders!''
Mokuba, still chained up, sees them and gasps amazed his brother came this quickly. ''Nii-san!''
The older man sees Seto as he turns off the alarms.
''You guys are in-'' Mokuba begins to say as they'll face not just his older brother but Yugi and his friends too. However the man smirks and states. ''As expected of Seto to track you down so quickly.''
Mokuba is startled that he expected his brother to arrive.
''Though I had hope he came alone…'' The man mutters rather disappointed Seto brought help as he glares intensely towards Yugi. ''However, this will do.''
He eyes his soldier and orders him. "Eliminate the rest of them.''
The man nods as he commands his team to be ready, heading out. Just then a different ringing is heard. A scientist checks it out to reveal it is Kisara's phone and informs his boss. ''Someone is calling for the woman.''
The man grabs the phone and checks. It was a call from America that had the name ''Dad''. He proceeds to answer it as a male voice speaks through the other side. ''Kisara dear, I'm calling in to check on you. How's-''
''My apologies sir but your adoptive daughter is with us.'' The man speaks through the father on the other line. The one who is likely the adoptive father of Kisara questions this stranger with a stern but calm tone. ''Who is this? What do you want with my daughter?''
''You will have her back if you wait in the next 2 hours. Until then.'' The man simply says as he hangs up. The scientist startles as they are not aiming to keep the girl alive but his leader does tell him. ''He doesn't need to know what will happen to her. Besides, he can't stop us.''
On the other side of the world, the man calling was in a motor, electric wheelchair. He sits firm putting away the phone and removes his glasses. The seemingly paralyzed man suddenly gets off his wheelchair, standing up straight. He relaxes as flashes of red electricity fly out across his body.
He was inside a pure white room as he turned to the screen. ''Gideon, track down where the number I just called was answered.''
''At once sir. And the project?'' The voice of the machine questions as it shows images of a strange masked figure in a red-yellow-green animal/insect-like suit facing strange monsters.
''Postpone until otherwise. The project cannot continue until we get the last piece.'' The man orders as he walks up to the left side of the wall. The wall unfolds and opens up a container of a certain suit. So soon to wear it but his daughter's life is more valuable; he can take the risk.
On a table were large tubes containing strange medallion-like coins, one of which were 3 red, golden round-edge medals.
As they walk closer in the base, Yugi's eyes flash red, sensing hostile auras coming towards them. He quickly commands Alicia while gripping on the handle of his sword. ''Alicia-kun, spear and shield ready.''
''Bad guys?'' Ruby asks curiously with Yugi nodding firmly. ''A lot.''
''Got it!'' Alicia responds by wielding both her weapons. She focuses, breathing calmly, as she erupts in blue flames transforming into her Valkyria form. Izumi stares, taken back, as Ed says. ''She's special.''
''Kaiba-kun, let me-'' Yugi asks Kaiba, not wanting him in the crossfire but Kaiba calls him off activating his Duel Disk. ''As if! I can handle them too my own way.''
Kaiba summons the Kaiser Vorse Raider. Just then cans fly out towards them. Kaiba's monster swipes at them with ease but as they drop on the ground, the cans open up and start leaking out strange smoke.
''SMOKE BOMBS-'' Edward begins alarming the group but Ruby then points out the strange gas colors. ''Sleep gas actually!''
Ed blinks awkwardly, not going to protest. He steps forward beginning to utter out. ''I-''
''We got this!'' Al joins in as did Izumi then adds proudly. ''All 3 of us!''
All three alchemists clap their hands, electricity coursing through them, as they slam their hands on the ground. The ground shakes as earth-like bear-traps emerge from the ground underneath the sleeping gas cans, sealing them up with earth so its gas doesn't consume them.
However, just a barrage of bullets came right at them. Yugi intercepts as his eyes glow with Yin-Yang Dragon eyes and unsheathes the Dragon Sword with such speed, slashing down the bullets with great speed and slashing power, cutting them all into pieces.
Emerging out are multiple soldiers shooting at them. Ed claps his hand and slams them on the ground, transmuting a large wall before them blocking the bullets.
''We have to be careful against these guys.'' Alicia points out with Ed rolling his eyes fully aware. A soldier pulls out a rocket launcher and takes aim at the wall, firing at it. The rocket hits and explodes the wall.
Ed quickly transmutes a shield and charges with Alicia, blocking the bullets from the soldiers. The men continue firing until one of them gasps shot onto his back from his shoulder. It was Ruby, taking aim between the shields with her Crescent Rose's sniper mode.
''BANZAI!'' Ruby shouts dashing around her friends with her Semblance, coming at the enemy soldiers and slashing them with her scythe mode, not killing them but knocking them with quick precise cuts.
Yugi burns them with Dragonaun Burning, striking each soldier with precise hits as Kaiba commands Kaiser Vorse Raider to slash them down heartlessly. Alicia could tell unleashing her Blue Flame attack might cause a cave-in so she instead comes charging at full speed, blocking the shower of bullets with her shield's blue aura flames and bashes her shield across their bodies, slamming them backwards.
Ed transmutes a rod smacking the soldiers with ease as Izumi unleashes an earth wave at them too, knocking them off the ground. Al joins slamming himself at them with ease as did Sig, performing wrestling-like attacks on each soldier.
However more soldiers come out firing more bullets. Alicia guards everyone with her shield.
"There're a lot of them.'' Yugi mutters, reflecting the bullets with the Dragon Sword quickly transforming it into the larger Dragon Slayer. He fires a silent and weaker Dragonaun Tensho, blowing them back onto their backs.
Kaiba watches as Kaiser Vorse Raider slashes down more men, seeing he has no time for this.
''I don't have time for this.'' Kaiba utters, marching forward. Yugi sees him walking forward and tries to stop him. ''Kaiba-kun!''
Yugi tries chasing after him but is intercepted by a large robotic mecha.
''Mechas too!'' The tricolor head utters out of surprise. It takes aim with its gun arms but is suddenly attacked by Alicia, piercing it from the back with the Flame Lancer attack, burning the robot in hot blue flames. She yells using her physical strength to toss the mecha onto the wall.
Alicia breathes turning to face Yugi and she winks telling him. ''We got this. Make sure that egoist jerk doesn't die.''
Yugi eyes her as Ruby salutes with a big grin. Ed nods confident about this too. Yugi smiles as he reverts the Dragon Slayer back to the Dragon Sword, wishing them luck. ''Careful guys!''
Kaiba dismantles multiple men with precise blows, knocking them off as the ones trying to shoot are slashed by Kaiser Vorse Raider. He eyes a large door. He scoffs as his monster is about to slash it but gets destroyed by the appearance of a mecha.
Kaiba brushes off the dirt off his jacket gazing unfazed by the machine. It prepares to do something before it is suddenly slashed off by the arms by twin Yin-Yang Dragon Slice Attacks. The mecha almost falls back as it is then pierced by Yugi, thrusting a Dragon Spiral Slash, pinning it into the ground. The robot stops functioning.
Yugi turns to face Kaiba and grins telling him. ''Close one!''
Kaiba just stares silently pointing at the door. Yugi nods, walking up to it and fires a Dragon Slice Attack, cutting it in half. The door pieces fall down to Mokuba's alarm, watching as Yugi and Kaiba walk in.
''Nii-san! Yugi-san!'' Mokuba utters out smiling that they came. Yugi runs up and frees Mokuba with a precise sword swing. The chains break into pieces as Mokuba gets off the chair. Yugi smiles, unsheathed his sword and asks him. ''What happen?''
Mokuba wouldn't know to start but he tells both. ''I don't know but I wasn't the one they wanted.''
Kaiba raises an eyebrow looking around and slowly widens his eyes to see Kisara sealed in a cryotank tube.
''Kisara?!'' He utters out in shock with Yugi seeing that too in shock. Kaiba stares with such shock and soon fury gazing at Mokuba and asks him firmly. ''Who the hell did this Mokuba?''
Mokuba is about to tell his brother however a voice interrupts. ''Welcome Seto.''
Kaiba turns to see the man behind all of this stepping out from the shadows. Mokuba glares mad. Yugi looks at the man never seeing him before but Atem materializes in spirit form and widens his eyes heavily.
''He's…!'' The Pharaoh begins to utter knowing this man too well… but how? How?
What new truth will be revealed to Kaiba?
Commercial Break:
Alicia: I also wanted to just bake new bread you know but well here we are fighting evil men and robots? Some things don't change!
Ed: Yea don't remind me. I am pretty much not liking this!
Yugi and Kaiba gaze down at this strange man with Mokuba warning them. ''That's him!''
"Do you know him Kaiba-kun?'' Yugi asks his rival with Kaiba calmly yet coldly responding. ''Never met him.''
The tricolor hums at that since this man knows Kaiba too well.
''Partner, this is bad.'' Yugi blinks, turning to see Atem beside him, gazing firmly fully aware who this is. He informs his partner firmly. ''This man, he resembles- no, he is Aknadin.''
Yugi raises an eyebrow recalling that name before. Atem then informs him who he is. ''He was one of my royal servants under the Pharaoh, his commanders, and he was also Priest Seto's father.''
The young Dragon Knight becomes alarmed by this now remembering that as Atem then reveals firmly. "And he also the one that created the hostility between Seto and I, the creation of the Millennium Items by sacrificing a whole village and joined Zorc.''
Now things were bad from what Yugi learned. He looks back as far as he knows this man's name to be Aknadin looks at Seto. He smirks, truly impressed by his growth, praising him. ''Look at you, you've grown more than I had imagine, Seto.''
''Who the hell are you?'' Kaiba demands coldly. The man cracks a smile, revealing who he is. ''I am your father.''
Yugi staggers with Atem confirming his suspicions even more; the past repeats itself. Mokuba widens his staggered eyes. This man? This man is their dad? Seto, however, scoffs, not believing such a thing.
''… Likely story.'' Seto responds calmly before adding with annoyance. ''Why the hell should I believe your crap?''
Aknadin stares, rather saddened by how his very son does not acknowledge. He prepares to tell him, reminding on his past. ''Your mother and I met when she was visiting Egypt. She was a beautiful woman, a strong prideful woman.''
He recalls her once beautiful blue eyes and brunette hair, they met in Egypt while on work and they immediately knew they were destined for each other.
''We fell in love and gave birth to two children…'' He states joyfully of being a father… until those happy days were ruined by that day. That bomb in the car; he was careless not checking twice and it cost him losing his beloved. He frowns as he says upset. ''However it was then we had our accident and we were presumed dead… But I survived though in a coma. I would remain until a few months ago.''
Yugi raises an eye. Few months ago? Does he mean when he became the Dragon Knight?
''You see, son; I am an agent of a special organization. I was targeted for the attack.'' The older man reveals to Kaiba who glares uncaringly. ''I survived and learn of all I missed, including my son being this wealthy young man.''
He chuckles softly admitting his joy. ''I knew you were meant for greatness… yet I wanted more for you.''
It was then he remembered when he awakened from his coma state of that man, young and yet sinister.
''That was when he approached, that man with white hair and sinister brown eyes that would glow red, and he gave me the truth of my past and yours.'' He says showing him the truth with that strange golden item. Both Yugi and Atem immediately widen their eyes, certain who it could be; Zorc.
''Now I will do what I failed many millennium ago, make a son a king of humanity.'' Aknadin proclaims proudly which worries Mokuba. His brother, a king of humanity? Seto, however, couldn't help but be disgusted by such crap.
''What a load of deja-vu crap? I'm not interesting in such trivial things I am superior of!'' Seto expresses, finding the idea of the king of humanity meaningless and pathetic. He's already the wealthiest man and intends to push the future of humanity with his science and technology. Being a ruler is meaningless for a man who is the best already.
However Aknadin protests as he promises sounding menacing. "You will become one with this girl as a sacrifice.''
''Excuse me.'' Kaiba utters in confusion as his uncaring look becomes a narrowing gaze. Aknadin eyes the sealed Kisara, revealing it to him. ''This girl possesses a hidden power I will unleash and use her to make you a god of men, Seto. You have no saying to it.''
Kaiba glares with such hatred and fury. He won't tolerate the one person who cared for him and his brother, having gone through the same hardship to be a sacrifice for a psychopath who thinks he's his father.
Atem heard enough as well asking of his partner. ''Partner, let me handle this.''
Yugi nods in agreement as the Millennium Puzzle shines and Atem takes control. The Pharaoh then declares gazing at the reincarnation of the man he knew. ''You haven't changed a bit in what your son truly wants, Aknadin.''
Kaiba gazes at the tricolor head fully aware this is the Pharaoh speaking. But that name… he must have heard that name before? From that time he was in that ancient past? No, impossible.
Aknadin gazes at him and knows who he is, proclaiming firmly. ''Pharaoh, as I expected, you intend to get in my way again.''
Atem could tell this was not the same Aknadin who forgave him and his father for not making Priest Seto the new pharaoh. This is Zorc twisting up his reincarnation to fall for the same darkness as before.
''However, this time I will succeed. This girl will become energy in the matter of minutes!'' The man vows to Atem, going to make his son a king. Kaiba heard enough of his crap ordering Mokuba. ''Mokuba shut that thing down now.''
Mokuba staggers, able to tell his brother is serious about this. He nods wanting to save Kisara though he asks him. ''What will you do Nii-san?''
Seto eyes his younger brother waiting for him to do it. Mokuba just nods, heading to the console of the cryotank. He watches as his older brother takes a step forward glaring at the man intensified.
''You keep calling me your son but you don't even acknowledge anything towards Mokuba!'' Seto calls him off to Aknadin's surprise. As much as he hated Gozaburo, he at least acknowledged that Mokuba was his adoptive son in a small way. Kaiba then adds, staring at Kisara's prison, yelling madder. ''Or give a damn to the girl who gave a damn for me in the hell you left us in!''
Seto breathes angrily as he declares coldly, clenching his right hand forward. ''I don't care what happened to you or my mother; I move beyond the past! I only seek the future! And I won't let you take away those that give a damn to me!''
Aknadin sighs rather disappointed as he pulls something from his back. Atem becomes alarmed as Yugi is ready to jump in but the man instead pulls out a Duel Disk, sliding it into his arm.
''If that is how you feel, then I will be forced to fight you son.'' Aknadin announces sliding on a deck. Kaiba scoffs, activating his Duel Disk and accepting the challenge. ''A duel is fine with me, scumbag.''
Atem watches that even though this was Kaiba's right to duel this man, he shouldn't do it alone. He knows Aknadin knew how to get in Priest Seto's mind and he might do the same with Kaiba too. He takes a step forward besides Kaiba and tells him. ''Kaiba, we will only save Kisara if we work together.''
This pissed off Kaiba calling him off. ''I don't need your damn help!''
''Maybe not but this connects to your pasts.'' Atem, however, reminds him of Seto's further enragement. The Pharaoh then adds showing him reason. ''Even if you despise the past, it's that past that becomes the foundations of her future and our very being.''
Kaiba eyes him, annoyed by his nonsense about fate, destiny and the past but if he wants to crush this man; he will have to make an exception.
''I don't care. All I care about right now…'' Seto just says, narrowing his eyes towards the trapped Kisara. He has to save her, no matter what it takes. He won't let that man take her from his life; he won't.
Will Atem and Kaiba be able to fight the past all over again?
