Hello to all! This is Episode 31 of the mini arc of Volume 5: A Parent's Sin!
P.S. I do not own them all or any of them except this crossover story, so I wrote the band's or artist's name that wrote that song which I do not own again.
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, to his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 5: Episode 31: Pride over Hatred! Duel against the Past!
In the previous episode of DKR:
With Kaiba leading the group tracking down Mokuba's tracking signal, Yugi and the others arrived to a strange secret base where they were immediately attacked. The group engaged the enemy forces with Kaiba advancing forward only caring about saving his brother and the girl who he cares for. Yugi followed having an uneasiness who would do this.
The two arrived inside a large room where they rescue Mokuba but discovered Kisara trapped in a cryo tube-like tank and the man behind this who Atem recognized as Aknadin. Like the past repeats itself, Kaiba's current father who he thought had die was not dead and was a secret agent for a secret organization who one of its enemies had thought of killed him. Awake from his coma and learning of his past self from Yami Bakura, the newly born Aknadin planned to finish what he started by making his son the ruler of this world by killing Kisara and obtaining her energy for him.
Pissed off by his crap, Kaiba proceeded to challenge him with Atem assisting him aware Kaiba will need all the help giving Mokuba the means to save Kisara.
Will both rivals be able to defeat this old man obsessed by the past?
What will happen next?

A fight between some of Team Dragon Knight against the enemy soldiers rages on.
Soldiers scream as they're being beaten by Ed and his transmuted hammer. Ruby blasts multiple soldiers with her Crescent Rose's blaster gun electric shoots, paralyzing them.
"These guys are very annoying.'' Ruby expresses loudly not happy to fight humans over Grimms… or evil aliens, or monsters now. Alicia didn't care much, easily disposing of the soldiers and the mechas still showing up with ease. She eyes the huntress and asks her giggling. ''You've must have gone through something like this too right Ruby?''
''A lot Alicia.'' Ruby utters out, sighing deeply. Ed didn't want to admit it but he felt the same, preferring monsters than beating down real humans.
Sig shreds his shirt, revealing his massive muscles as he bashes through the multiple guards with such ease. Both Ed and Al sweat drops heavily while Izumi blushes, turned on as she slams multiple soldiers with her alchemy.
''Ah god why him too.'' Edward mutters hating this, only hoping Yugi is putting an end to this.
From the other end, Atem and Kaiba gazes at Aknadin as he announces, wanting to finally defeat the Pharaoh and have his son join him to his destiny. ''Let us commence.''
Atem glares as he slides on his Duel Disk, activating it.
''Fine by me!'' Kaiba declares triggering his headset. Mokuba watches from afar and goes into hacking this system to free Kisara. He can only hope his brother and Yugi can handle this.
''Duel!'' The three duelists declare drawing their hand and commencing the duel.
Duel Screen: Yugi Mutou: 4000LP & Seto Kaiba: 4000LP vs. Aknadin: 8000LP
Kaiba narrows his sight at Kisara still entrapped in the tube with Mokuba doing his hardest to release her. He eyes her helpless, unconscious state and became angrier gazing back at this man who assumed he's his and Mokuba's real deadbeat of a father.
''I won't tolerate an old man to take everything I earned.'' Kaiba proclaims with a dark voice, declaring loudly. "I'm going first!''
Atem watches with Yugi pointing out taken back by Kaiba's action. ''Kaiba-kun is serious.''
''That worries me.'' The Pharaoh though says telepathically especially in the face of rage and hate Kaiba is having. As he told him once before, hatred and revenge is not power.
''… I would love to let you go first Seto, however I will go first.'' Aknadin, however, declines his son's idea wishing to go first. Kaiba scoffs gazing madder and oddly accepts. ''Be my guest, old man.''

''My turn.'' Aknadin declares drawing his top card. He eyes his option and summons a monster. ''I summon Kaiser Sea Horse.''
Seto states surprised as one of his classic monsters materializes on the opponent's field.
Kaiser Sea Horse Lvl 4 ATK: 1700 DEF: 1650
''I then set 3 cards face-down.'' Aknadin then announces setting 3 face-down cards behind his monster before calling it a turn. ''My turn is over.''
Duel Screen: Turn 2_ Yugi: 4000LP H: 5 / Kaiba: 4000LP H: 5 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 2
Kaiba glares more enraged as he begins his turn. ''My turn! Draw!''
He draws his holographic card hard that the card vanishes and appears on his screen. He begins tapping on a card in his hand screen. ''I activate the spell, The Flute of the Awakening Dragon! I discard a card to add two dragon monsters from my Deck to my hand.
He discards a card and then adds both a Blue-Eyes White Dragon and a Blue-Eye Alternative White Dragon.
''Next the card I discarded, the White Stone of Legends, allows me to add a Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my Deck to my hand.'' Kaiba then reveals adding a second Blue-Eyes White Dragon into his hand. He then reveals his Blue-Eyes as he calls forth. ''I reveal Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Appear, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon!''
Emerging above him is the alternative version of his ace dragon.
Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon Lvl 8 ATK: 3000 DEF: 2500
Seto then declares activating a new spell to achieve his victory. ''I activate the spell, Greater Polymerization! With it I can perform a Fusion Summon with 3 monsters!''
A larger fusion portal manifests as two other Blue-Eyes appear and swirl along with Alternative White inside the portal.
"Feast your eyes on the most powerful of all dragons, in its fully evolved glory!'' Kaiba chants proudly raising his hand as his dragons roar soaring towards the sky and melding together in even greater radiant light.
''FUSION SUMMON! Show yourself! Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!'' Kaiba calls forth descending from the sky is the evolved three-headed ultimate dragon, roaring as it releases shard-like sparks of electricity like snowflakes.
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Lvl 12 ATK: 4500 DEF: 3800
Mokuba smirks watching that his brother will win this duel in one shot.
''I'll turn you into dust now. Greater Polymerization makes Neo Blue-Eyes from being destroyed by card effects and can perform piercing damage.'' Seto explains the effects of his new fusion card as his Neo Blue-Eyes has the means to annihilated the old man in one shot
Atem watches concerned as that does sound like a powerful play to cause massive damage but Kaiba is forgetting about their opponent's set cards.
Aknadin, seeing this massive creature of destruction, simply shakes his head in disappointment.
''You've become too aggressive but that is a strong nature son… yet not good enough.'' He scolds Seto who gets madder. Aknadin proceeds flipping one of his set cards. ''I shall trigger my Continuous Trap, Grave of the Super Ancient Organism!''
One of his cards flips over and glows. Just then Neo Blue-Eyes lets out a painful roar as the trap glows and entraps the dragon in the same glowing outline.
''While present on the field, all Level 6 or higher Special Summoned monsters cannot attack or activate their effects!'' Aknadin explains his trap's effect which enrages Seto greatly. He grits his teeth, being taunted in destroying this man in one shot. Mokuba is left speechless as he has to snap out of this and went back to cracking the computer to release Kisara.
''… I set a card facedown. Turn end.'' Kaiba just mutters setting a card behind his dragon ending his turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 3_ Yugi: 4000LP H: 5 / Kaiba: 4000LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 2
''Then it's my turn. Draw!'' Atem declares drawing his top card. He looks at his hand and proceeds to play one of them. ''I activate the spell, Card Destruction! Now we discard our entire hand.''
Kaiba doesn't say much discarding his hand however-
''That will not work.'' Aknadin declares as he triggers his other set card. ''I activate the Continuous Trap, Escalation of the Monarch! With it I can perform a Tribute Summon during your Main Phase and Battle Phase.''
His trap flips over glowing as Kaiser Sea Horse vanishes.
''I release Kaiser Sea Horse and use its effect to treat itself as 2 tributes for a Light monster.'' He then explains his monster's effect now able to summon a higher Level monster. Aknadin grabs a card in his hand and starts chanting. ''Seal away my enemies' movement, Gadius!''
Emerging in Kaiser Sea Horse's place is a massive Egyptian-like humanoid male monster, buff and muscular wearing unique golden armor appears onto the field.
Gadius Lvl 9 ATK: 3100 DEF: 2700
Atem stares taken back to see that monster. To think time repeats itself even for the reincarnation of the old royal guardian to gain his Ka too.
''While Gadius is on the field, my opponents cannot Tribute anything.'' Aknadin then announces shocking Kaiba angrily. ''What?!''
Atem frowns meaning they can't perform any type of Tributes that also includes summoning a God.
Card Destruction's effect is still in effect as Aknadin discards his one card in his hand as Atem discards his hand. He then declares as a card shines from his Graveyard. ''I discarded Magical Dragon which lets me Special Summon it to my Field and draw 1 card.''
Appearing is a wizard-like dragon monster as Atem draws another card.
Magical Dragon Lvl 4 ATK: 1500 DEF: 1600
Atem eyes the card he drew and plays it. ''I activate the spell, Mystical Space Typhoon! I destroy Grave of the Super Ancient Organism!''
A powerful typhoon manifests coming towards Aknadin's trap but he counters triggering his last card. ''Then I reveal the Continuous Spell, Imperial Order! Now my other face-up Continuous Traps cannot be destroyed.''
The trap protects the other, making the typhoon do no damage at all.
''Pharaoh, your naïve tricks or plans won't work.'' Aknadin scolds the Pharaoh who stares calmly.
''Damn him.'' Seto mutters madder squeezing his hands.
Atem eyes his remaining options and proceeds playing another card from his hand. ''Then I activate the spell, Premature Burial! I pay 800 Life Points to Special Summon a monster from my Graveyard.''
His Life Points drop to 3200 as he calls forth. ''I summon Queen's Knight!''
Appearing is the queen-like knight on his field.
Queen's Knight Lvl 4 ATK: 1500 DEF: 1600
''Next I activate the spell, Knight's Backdoor!'' Atem declares playing a card from his hand. It shows the image of a small hand of cards as he tries to draw two cards which underneath show the image of a Queen and King. The Pharaoh then explains his card's effect. ''If I control a Light Warrior monster, I can perform either a Special Summon or a Normal Summon of a Light Warrior monster.''
Queen's Knight's body glows as he then summons a monster from his hand. ''I summon King's Knight!''
Appearing beside the queen is the king.
King's Knight Lvl 4 ATK: 1600 DEF: 1400
''When King's Knight is summoned while I control Queen's Knight, I can Special Summon Jack's Knight from my hand or Deck!'' Atem then declares as the third knight appears.
Jack's Knight Lvl 5 ATK: 1900 DEF: 1000
''Next if I summoned a Light Warrior monster this turn that didn't use the effect of Knight's Backdoor, I can add Polymerization or a Level 10 monster from my Deck to my hand.'' Atem then reveals as he searches his deck and has no choice but to add his Fusion card. Kaiba grunts figuring as much that his aim was to summon a God.
Atem then resumes playing said card. ''I activate the spell, Polymerization! I fuse my 3 knights as one!''
His three knights merge together within a fusion portal as Atem calls forth. ''Fusion Summon! Appear, Arcana Knight Joker!''
Appearing out of the portal is the powerful arcana knight.
Arcana Knight Joker Lvl 9 ATK: 3800 DEF: 2500
Even with a powerful warrior, Atem couldn't attack with it due to Grave of the Super Ancient Organism. They need to get rid of that card or else. He eyes his hand and grabs a card.
''I set a card facedown.'' He declares setting it behind his knight joker, sadly calling it a turn too. ''Turn end.''
Seto grunts gazing at Aknadin and his stupid field. He squeezes his hands tighter never having such hate for anyone before, not even Gozaburo.
''If not for that bastard…'' Kaiba starts muttering as he starts becoming less like himself and more impatient and madder. For Atem, this was concerning as Kaiba would never act this impulsive.

''My turn.'' Aknadin proclaims drawing his top card. He eyes it and plays it immediately. ''First I activate the spell Pot of Greed. I draw 2 cards.''
He draws two more cards as he then plays one of the cards he drew. ''I now activate the spell, Beckon to Darkness!''
A demonic red, grey coloring claw manifests as it flies at Neo Blue-Eyes.
''With it I send my son's dragon.'' He explains as Kaiba immediately threatens him. ''Don't you dare-''
But it was too late as the hand grows double the size and grabs onto Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. The dragon roars trying to free itself as the hand drags the dragon into the dark void underneath it, taking them both with it.
Seto actually growls madder as he made his dragon nearly untouchable and it was bested by a stupid spell.
''Battle, Gadius, attack Seto directly. Godspeed Dash!'' Aknadin then orders as Gadius comes charging while surrounded in bright golden energy, moving with incredible speed. Kaiba glares as he shouts triggering his set card. ''Reverse trap open, Attack Guidance Armor! Atem!''
Atem nods allowing it as he explains. ''The armor will appear on Arcana Knight Joker, redirecting Gadius' attack to my knight.''
As said Kaiba's trap glows and the same armor on the artwork appears on Atem's knight, forcing Gadius to come at him. Once Gadius hits and fails, Arcana Knight Joker will be able to finish him.
However Aknadin discards a card from his hand announcing. ''I activate Dark Ushebti from my hand.''
A black, golden lining Pharaoh-like sarcophagus materializes and intercepts the two monsters, stopping Gadius' attack. Kaiba stares actually stagger Aknadin explains. ''By discarding it from my hand, I negate the attack.''
Seto groans madder, becoming more and more frustrated and impatient. Atem watches surprised his other Ka is also with the reincarnation of their former master.
''I set a card facedown. My turn is over.'' The old man proclaims calmly setting a card and finishes his turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 5_ Yugi: 3200LP H: 2 / Kaiba: 4000LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 0
''My turn!'' Kaiba shouts drawing his top card. He eyes his card and smirks until Aknadin informs him. ''Drawing Shadow Spell will not work.''
Seto widens his eyes in terror. Atem is also shock questioning it. ''No, you-''
Aknadin didn't respond as he simply reveals his hidden eye, showing the Millennium Eye in his eye socket. Atem now understood how he figured out their plans before they knew what hit them.
''Deja-vu.'' The Pharaoh points out how ironic that Aknadin's reincarnation would still get that Millennium Eye. Though now it makes sense how he got it, thinking back on Reshef the Dark Being.
This however upsets Kaiba who calls out the old man aggressively. ''You think reading my mind is how you'll mess with me! Pegasus did that and was a fool!''
Aknadin did not say a word further enraging Kaiba. He grabs the card he drew and shouts setting it. ''I set a card facedown! Turn end!''

Atem eyes his hand, figuring Aknadin already knows what his current hand is. Then…
''My-'' Atem begins to say as he draws his top card but now it was Yugi in control finishing his line. ''Turn!''
Aknadin startles not able to sense the Pharaoh's mind but before he could adjust himself Atem, taken control, announces playing the card he drew. ''I activate the spell, Spider Web! With this I take a card my opponent used previously turn into my hand.''
A spider web shoots out from the holographic to the opponent's Duel Disk as the card becomes Pot of Greed.
''I choose and activate Pot of Greed! I draw 2 cards.'' Atem proclaims as he draws his top two cards. However in that moment Yugi takes over again and sets the cards he drew declaring. ''I set 2 cards facedown! Turn end!''
Before Aknadin could read his mind without realizing who that was the Pharaoh took over with a small smirk. This puzzled the old man not following how he is hiding his thoughts away from the Millennium Eye's ability. He read his mind and the Pharaoh has no idea what those set cards are. How?
Duel Screen: Turn 7_ Yugi: 3200LP H: 2 / Kaiba: 4000LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 0
''What's wrong? It's your turn.'' Atem questions him taunting. Aknadin frowns ignoring his mind games beginning his turn.
''My turn.'' He proclaims but before he drew his top card he announces. ''Instead of conducting my Draw Phase, Gadius' effect lets me add Dark Ushebti from my Graveyard back to my hand.''
He adds back his monster as he commands. ''Battle. Gadius, attack Seto again.''
Immediately Kaiba shouts triggering his set card. ''Like hell! Reverse card open, Shadow Spell! I chain up your monster, preventing it from attacking and losing 700 ATK!''
His card flips over as the hundreds of black chains all fly at Gadius. However…
''Disappointing. I discard Dark Ushebti to use its other effect.'' Aknadin announces discarding the monster he just discarded. ''Now Gadius becomes unaffected by your card effects while your card's effect is negated!''
''Nani?!'' Kaiba utters out in shock as Dark Ushebti releases its power through Gadius, destroying the chains and negating its effect.
With his one trick to protect himself gone, Gadius dashes right at Kaiba and it slams a destructive punch across his gut. Seto gasps in agony as he drops on the ground.
''Kaiba!'' Atem shouts as Mokuba sees this and shouts in terror. ''Nii-san!''
Kaiba grunts more in pain as his Life Points drop to a mere 900.
''Naïve, son. I had hoped you would grow more mature but instead you're weaker than the man who took you in.'' Aknadin expresses his great disappointment, failing as a father but he will fix that once he uses up the life energy of that woman. ''Once I win, I will make you a better man Seto.''
Seto glares madder fill with hate, not going to let this bastard kill her or ruin what cause him and Mokuba. He will destroy him with all of his hatred. ALL.
Atem watches and frowns not able to let this go on anymore.
Will Yugi/Atem and Kaiba even be able to win at this point?
Commercial Break:
Alicia: I just hope the others are doing well.
Ruby: We'll help them out! No worries!
Ruby pants, heavily as she and the others dealt with the last of the soldiers. Ed swipes his hands with Izumi proclaiming stretching her arms. ''That was the last of them!''
Alicia smiles nodding, eyeing the young huntress and praises her hard work. ''Nice job Ruby.''
Ruby forms a smile joyfully towards her friend. Ed coughs as he announces to the group. ''Come on, we got a team leader to back-up.''
The group nods as they head off to find Yugi and Kaiba, hoping they're doing well.
The duel continues as Seto is filled in fury and anger, lifting himself up. He had less Life Points. The old man took his pride and soul and intends to kill the only woman that tolerates his pride and power while planning to screw with the lives of his own sons that he already destroyed once more. Not again, never again!
''Damn you…'' Kaiba starts muttering out, unable to control his rage anymore. ''DAMN YOU!''
''Enough Kaiba!'' Kaiba startles turning to Atem glaring at him. He growls, calling him out madder. ''STAY OUT OF THIS!''
Atem glares protesting as he points at him. ''I will not because you are not yourself!''
Seto stares at him, not following. Atem has seen enough to know this is not Kaiba calling him off. ''The Seto Kaiba I know is not easily engaged or taunted or impulsive to let his enemies get under his skins except for Yugi and me.''
Silence from Kaiba who stares at him. Mokuba overhears admitting the same as he continues working.
''I know you're worried for Kisara and learning the truth of your real father but that wouldn't make you act like this. You're a prideful man fill with power and skill, act like that, act like my rival!'' Atem encourages wanting to see the true man that is Seto Kaiba.
''…'' Kaiba doesn't say a word, scoffing at how pathetic he's been acting. He turns his back from Atem before correcting him. ''Yugi's rival, you mean.''
The Pharaoh didn't reply, rather amazed for Kaiba to admit that especially to Yugi.
''I've accepted that since Battle City V3.'' Kaiba says recalling Yugi's words during that duel. Even though defeating Atem is more valuable to him… what that kind fool said made him realize that his rival isn't truly alive; he isn't sure how long the Pharaoh will remain in the human world.
''Besides, if I beat him, I beat you. And I will win.'' Seto says planning to count if he can beat Yugi, then he has bested Atem too. The Pharaoh oddly smirks at that and taunts him in a boosting tone. ''Then show me if you can really challenge us.''
Seto scoffs, planning to not lose to anyone, especially a man who would send him back to hell. This time it'll be him to lose.
Duel Screen: Turn 8_ Yugi: 3200LP H: 2 / Kaiba: 900LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 0
''My turn!'' Kaiba shouts drawing his top card. In that moment Yugi takes control and asks for his help. ''Kaiba-kun, I need your Legendary Dragon to turn the duel around.''
Aknadin notices this change and tries reading his mind, only to read Atem's now in control in the last second. This puzzled the old man more.
Kaiba scoffs not responding as he plays the card he drew, disappearing from his hand as it materializes on his field. ''I activate the spell card, Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards and then I discard 2 from my hand.''
He draws and discards a few cards as he then announces as one of the cards discarded glows. ''I activate Greed Dragon's effect, banishing both Kaiser Vorse Raider and Greater Polymerization to draw 2 cards.''
He draws two more cards and smirks summoning what Yugi wanted. ''From my hand, I will Special Summon Critias, Legendary Dragon of Unbeatable Force!''
Materializing is Critias, letting out a vicious roar.
Critias, Legendary Dragon of Unbeatable Force Lvl 1 ATK: 0 DEF: 0
Atem smirks now seeing his rival acting like he should.
''Critias, I activate your effect to fuse yourself with my Crush Card Virus from my hand!'' Kaiba announces as Crush Card Virus materializes on the field. Critias roars flying at the trap and merges with it as he calls forth. ''Fusion Summon! Emerge, eradicating dragon! Doom Virus Dragon!''
Emerging is the venomous virus dragon, shrieking out a roar.
Doom Virus Dragon Lvl 4 ATK: 1900 DEF: 1500
''Doom Virus's effect! It destroys all monsters on your field and hand and whatever you draw that has 1500ATK or more for 3 turns!'' Kaiba announces as the dragon breathes venomous virus toxic breathe from its mouth. ''Doom Breathe!''
The breathe spreads like a fog going towards Gadius, however Aknadin saw through it triggering his set card.
''Reverse Continuous Trap open, Safe Zone!'' He declares as his card flips over and glows as it wraps its energy around Gadius. ''Now Gadius cannot be destroyed or targeted by your cards.''
Kaiba glares but Atem, now Yugi proclaims with a small smirk. ''I was hoping for that! Reverse card open, Spellbinding Illusion!''
Aknadin staggers as Atem takes over as the magical seal manifests around Gadius, unable to move.
''With this Gadius loses 500 ATK and has its effect negated!'' Atem explains with a small smirk too, getting rid of Gadius' more dangerous effect.
Aknadin couldn't understand reading his mind and again read nothing new, gazing at the Pharaoh still smirking. Kaiba scoffs eyeing him rather impressed but it still doesn't help them if they can't get rid of Grave of the Super Ancient Organism.
''Pharaoh, you better have a plan.'' Kaiba tells him not able to tolerate this any longer. Atem just nods confident about it. Kaiba scoffs tapping on a card in his hand screen and declares. ''I set 1 card facedown. My turn is over.''
A face-down card materializes behind his dragon, ending his turn.
Duel Screen: Turn 9_ Yugi: 3200LP H: 2 / Kaiba: 900LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 0
''Leave it to me, Kaiba!'' Atem responds as he draws his top card. ''My turn! Draw!''
Kaiba eyes him as he warns him. ''If you have a Black Luster Soldier, don't try what I think you're trying.''
Atem gazes at him, pretty sure Kaiba has a clue what Yugi set and nods promising. He proceeds playing a card. ''I activate the spell, Dark Magic Curtain! By paying half of my Life Points, I can Special Summon a Spellcaster monster from my Deck.''
His Life Points become 1600 as the dark magical curtain manifest and unfolds what is hidden inside.

Aknadin glares angrily at the magician, knowing well who he is.
''I banish Magician Navigation from my Graveyard, negating the effect of Grave of the Super Ancient Organism.'' Atem then announces which shocks the old man. Dark Magician fires a bolt of dark magic at his trap, nullifying its effect.
Kaiba smirks now thinking back that he must have discarded it before when he used Card Destruction.
Aknadin grunts madder gazing at Dark Magician, simply muttering out coldly. ''Damn Mahad.''
To think that man would serve the Pharaoh even today. Still, he shouldn't worry, he has the advantage.
''No point, Gadius is still more than enough to stall till I defeat Seto and then-'' Aknadin begins monologuing his strategy until he's interrupted by Yugi, taking control as he shouts triggering his set card. ''Reverse Spell card open, Legend of Heart!''
Aknadin immediately widen his eye shouting out in alarm. ''What?!''
Atem takes over again smirking as he explains. ''By paying 1000LP and releasing, Arcana Knight Joker, I banish Timaeus from my Deck as well as Critias in Kaiba-kun's Graveyard to transform our dragons into their true forms!''
Arcana Knight Joker vanishes as both Timaeus and Critias materializes on the field and fly up, beginning to transform.
''Ascend, legendary hero! Legendary Knight Timaeus!'' Atem calls out as Timaeus transforms into his Legendary Knight form, descending and landing on the ground as he strikes a knight's fighting pose.
Kaiba scoffs as he then calls forth. ''Appear, Legendary Knight Critias!''
Critias roars transforming and becoming his Legendary Knight form, descending and ready to fight though he appears in Defense Position.

''When did you-'' Aknadin questions not believing this was happening but Atem smirks interrupting. ''Timaeus and Critias' effect banishes a face-up Spell or Trap on the field!''
Both knights ready their swords as both Atem and Kaiba made their picks. ''We banish both Grave of the Super Ancient Organism and Safe Zone!''
''Sword of Justice!'' Timaeus shouts swinging his sword and fires a powerful wave right through Grave of the Super Ancient Organism, banishing it.
''Sword of Wisdom!'' Critias also shouts swinging his own sword, firing his own wave as it banishes the other trap. Kaiba scoffs as he then reveals to his opponent. ''Gadius is then destroyed by Safe Zone's effect.''
Aknadin panics as Gadius suddenly destroys itself with Safe Zone gone. He couldn't understand this, just uttering out in confusion. ''How?''
Atem didn't answer as Yugi takes control telling him with a smile. ''Teamwork. It's not the first time we fought a Millennium Eye user.''
Aknadin becomes madden as he says. ''To think the great Pharaoh needed help from a-''
In that moment he realizes something confusing, staring at Yugi properly and how familiar he looks to the Pharaoh. He's taken back still having his past self's memories and they do look so alike. What black magic is this he thought? How? Why?
He quickly snaps out not able to think on such things, changing subjects. ''Upon Gadius' destruction, I can Special Summon a monster from my Deck.''
This alarms Kaiba and Atem taking control again.
Swirls of dark energy manifest in front of Aknadin. He then calls forth. ''Become one with the darkness and my desires, Dark Priest Gadius!''
What appear out of the darkness was Gadius but its golden armored has turned black, gain a wicked-like cloak and his face looks more demonic with pitch black eyes.
Dark Priest Gadius Lvl 11 ATK: 4400 DEF: 3600
Mokuba shivers unease as he's almost done unsealing the tube.
The same darkness surrounds Aknadin as he declares with a slight darker voice. ''I will not lose not when I'm so close. Now I will get what I wanted for me and my son.''
In that moment the tube glows as Kisara lets out an unconscious scream. Mokuba panic trying to turn it off but he couldn't.
''Kisara!'' Kaiba shouts helpless as Aknadin starts laughing. Atem glares at him and declares serious. ''We won't let this go on. I banish the Light King's Knight and the Dark Skilled Dark Magician!''
A portal of light and darkness manifest as he calls forth. ''Appear, Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning!''
Leaping out of the portal is Black Luster Soldier, gazing serious at the enemy.
Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning Lvl 8 ATK: 3000 DEF: 2500
''Envoy of the Beginning's effect will banish your Dark Priest Gadius!'' Atem declares as his chaos soldier points with his sword but Dark Priest Gadius raises his right arm and extends as darkness spreads across the field. This consumes all the monsters paralyzing them from moving much.
''Dark Priest Gadius' effect negates my opponent's monster effects during my opponent's turn.'' Aknadin reveals firm, locking any of his opponents to do much. Atem frowns not able to do anything else, ending his turn. ''Turn end.''
He eyes Kaiba hoping he has a plan.
Duel Screen: Turn 10_ Yugi: 600LP H: 1 / Kaiba: 900LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 0
''My turn!'' Aknadin proclaims as he draws his top card and reveals. ''Dark Priest Gadius also has the same effect as the original but better, adding Dark Ushebti back to my hand and keep my draw.''
Kaiba glares annoyed hoping he doesn't draw anything. For once Aknadin didn't draw a helpful card but nonetheless he can't lose as he further announces. ''Dark Priest Gadius can attack all monsters you control and cannot leave the field except by battle. It is pointless for either of you to dodge this. Battle. Dark Priest Gadius, attack Doom Virus Dragon-''
Immediately Seto responds to his threat by triggering his set card. ''Reverse trap open, Attack Guidance Barrier!''
His card flips over glowing as he explains. ''I redirect your attack to my Defense Position Critias and he gains 600 DEF.''
Critias gain some DEF boost but not anything good but that wasn't the point as Dark Priest Gadius is forced to attack him. He raises his hand again and fires a black sphere of dark energy, hitting the Legendary Knight as he guards it with his sword.
''I also activate Critias' effect! I set 1 Trap card from the Graveyard facedown!'' Kaiba then states as he sets a card from Atem's Graveyard. However this wasn't going to protect the Legendary Knight as he's destroyed by the attack but the trap had another effect which Kaiba reveal with a smug smirk. ''Now the Battle Phase ends.''
Aknadin scowls slightly at this praising his son's little trick. ''Clever but the duel is over soon. I end my turn.''
Duel Screen: Turn 11_ Yugi: 600LP H: 2 / Kaiba: 900LP H: 2 / Aknadin: 8000LP H: 2
''… You're right, this duel is over…'' Kaiba, now entering his turn, begins to admit. Aknadin smirks hoping he would-
''For you.'' The old man staggers as Seto finishes his line, gazing his cold blue eyes at him with no remorse or mercy. He then declares drawing his top card. ''My turn! Draw!''
Number of turns since Doom Virus Dragon activated its effect: 1
He eyes his drawn card and smirks playing it. ''I activate the spell, Dragon's Mirror! I remove my 3 Blue-Eyes to perform a Fusion Summon!''
Once more the 2 Blue-Eyes White Dragons and the Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon manifest as Kaiba chants as the dragons fly up and begin to fuse together. ''Fusion Summon! Once more, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!''
Reappearing is the Neo Ultimate Dragon, letting out a triple loud roar.
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Lvl 12 ATK: 4500 DEF: 3800
Aknadin frowns of disappointment again.
''That won't do any-'' He begins to scold his son only for Kaiba to protest. ''I'm not done! Pharaoh, I'll be taking your monster.''
Atem smirks and nods. Kaiba now activates the key to their victory. ''I activate the spell, Polymerization! I fuse my Neo Blue-Eyes with Atem's Black Luster Soldier!''
Aknadin staggers as Black Luster Soldier leaps up to the as did Neo Blue-Eyes.
''Knight of great justice and bravery!'' Atem begins to chant as Kaiba does so too passionate. ''Fuse with the ultimate dragon of destruction to become the unstoppable, unspeakable legend!''
Both monster merge within the fusion portal as both prideful duelists shouted together. ''Fusion Summon! Transcend!''
The fusion portal cracks and explodes as flying out of it is their final trump card.
''Neo Dragon Master Knight!'' Atem and Kaiba both call forth. Emerging is an evolved Dragon Master Knight with Blue-Eyes Ultimate now Neo Blue-Eyes and Black Luster Soldier having blue lining across his armor too as his blade glows in a bright blue light like an energy saber.
Neo Dragon Master Knight Lvl 12 ATK: 5000 DEF: 4500
Aknadin stares unease with Mokuba grinning astonished.
"Neo Dragon Master Knight gains 500 ATK for each Dragon monster on the field and in either player's Graveyard while your monsters lose ATK and DEF.'' Seto reveals firmly but Aknadin protests. ''It won't work. Dark Priest Gadius will-''
''Neo Dragon Master Knight is unaffected by all monsters except Dragon monsters.'' Atem immediately counters which shocks the old man. ''What?!''
The spirit of White Stone of Legends, the 2 Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, Magical Dragon, Greed Dragon, Doom Virus Dragon and Neo Dragon Master Knight making up 7 dragons as Neo Dragon Master Knight gains 3500ATK boost raising the merged monster with an ATK of 8500 while Dark Priest Gadius drops into 900ATK.
Aknadin sweats but he will survive this attack until Kaiba orders his partner. ''Atem, use your damn card.''
Atem smirks nodding as he shouts triggering the set card that Critias set. ''I activate the trap Kaiba set, Dark Spiral Force! With Dark Magician on the field, Neo Dragon Master Knight's ATK doubles!''
Swirls of black magically energy wraps around the evolved Dragon Master Knight, shooting its ATK to 17000. Aknadin widen his eye not able to do anything. He couldn't even use Dark Ushebti's effect.
''Battle! Neo Dragon Master Knight, attack!'' Kaiba begins to command as the Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon half of their fused dragon starts charging up its Hyper Ultimate Burst attack.
Aknadin sweats more terrified as Seto begins telling him. ''Remember what you said to me about being a disappointment?''
He eyes his son as Kaiba gazes, actually recalling his life since he won his chess game against Gozaburo to adopt him and Mokuba to all the way to Kaiba gaining full control of Kaiba Corporation… and Gozaburo committing suicide. The man was evil and cruel… but he gains so much from him nonetheless.
''Gozaburo is a scum but you know what, he made me appreciate having pride and a soul. Something you could never teach me, old man.'' Kaiba tells his so-called father. ''Vanish from my sight! Neo Galaxy Crusher!''
Black Luster swings his sword firing an energy slash as Neo Blue-Eyes unleashes its three-way blast, merging the attacks all together into a massive blast. The attack consumes and vaporizes Dark Priest Gadius as Aknadin screams. He's pushed and falls on his back, his Life Points dropping all the way to 0.
Duel Screen: Winners… Yugi Mutou: 600LP & Seto Kaiba: 900LP vs. Aknadin: 0LP
Neo Dragon Master Knight and the other monsters vanish the field as Kaiba walks away to reach Mokuba. Atem watches as Mokuba presses one more key and the computer screen accepts the program. The tube starts moving and opens up.
"I got it!'' Mokuba declares, grinning. Kaiba scoffs joining him and, hesitating a moment, pats his brother by the back telling him. ''On the nick of time Mokuba. Good job.''
Mokuba is left speechless, blushing as Seto walks towards the opening of the cryotank. He eyes the white haired woman in a seemingly deep sleep.
''Kisara…'' Kaiba utters with a soft tone, shaking her body gently. ''Wake up. Wake up already.''
Kisara did not stir or wake up, but she was alive. Mokuba checks but he's puzzled why she's not waking up. He recalls something like this… from that fairy tale.
''Nii-san, you might need to well…'' Mokuba hesitates to explain it, chuckling slightly. ''You know, like sleeping beauty.''
Kaiba gazes at his younger brother and simply responds. ''That's nonsense, Mokuba.''
Atem watches sweat dropping until Yugi takes control and taunts his rival. ''Well maybe Kaiba-kun is just scared.''
Kaiba widens his eyes angrily, turning towards the tricolor head. He grins, adding while blushing. ''I mean it's not for everyone. Well except me, I've kissed an adorable kitten after all.''
''…'' Seto just stares at him silently. He remains like this for a while before turning his back and kneeling down to Kisara. Mokuba watches as his brother eyes the sleeping beauty in front of him and taking a moment to reflect lowers himself to her face. Seto breathes once before moving down and kisses the white haired girl on the lips. Mokuba widens his eyes, blushing, watching his brother actually kissing a girl for the first time; and YES, Seto is very picky and wouldn't do it unless it was someone that mattered… and here it is.
Yugi smiles happily because it worked.
''… You know how to push my brother's buttons easily.'' Mokuba says somewhat praising Yugi's skills. Yugi giggles, nodding. They watch as Kaiba feels stirring and then his face turns red in surprise to see Kisara staring back at him surprised. An awkward moment as Seto pulls back.
''Seto?'' Kisara utters out softly, very puzzled about what just happened. Seto breathes as he asks her calmly, trying to recompose himself. ''… You can stand up right?''
Kisara blushes, nodding as Seto reaches his arm to hers. She accepts his hand as he gently pulls her up.
''What happened? Where are we?'' Kisara asks, looking around completely puzzled. She remembered being with Mokuba in the limo and then everything was blank. Yugi chuckles nervously, saying. ''Long story.''
Kaiba scoffs, already hating those words.
''GAAAAH!'' The group staggers, turning to see Aknadin in pain, gripping on his head as he demands furiously. ''WHY! WHY DO YOU INTEND TO FIGHT YOUR DESTINY, SETO!''
Seto gazes at this poor excuse of a man as he raises his right arm forward and squeezes it tightly.
''Destiny is for those who cannot grasp on their own futures. I choose what I want, with my own two hands, my soul and my pride!'' Seto declares proudly on how he wants to achieve his own future and no one can tell him what to do, no one.
Aknadin is left speechless, slowly realizing that maybe that-
''It seems I'll have to give that power now.'' A dark voice suddenly echoes in his mind as Aknadin screams being consumed by darkness covering him. ''GAAAH!''
The group watches unease as Yugi can sense something familiar and ominous. They watch as the old man begins to be wrapped in darkness, transforming him instantly before their eyes.
He's become taller and his fingers become claws. His hair has turned pure white, and appears to have become longer, and his skin has darkened and become heavier. He becomes clad in black and purple robes, with purple bracers and torso armor with a high collar. He wears a smooth white mask with masses of red hair attached, and a black section over the left eye that contains a hole for the Millennium Eye. The Eye of Wdjat is emblazoned in gold at the base of his neck, which is armored in maroon armor with hieroglyphics traced into it, and a black strip running down the throat.
The group staggers with Kisara with widened eyes, almost like she's seen this before. Seto has recalled this freak from back then.
''Isn't that…'' Kaiba begins to utter out recalling this being before with Atem confirming it, revealing it to him. ''Shadow Magus, the Dark Priest of Zorc Necrophades.''
Shadow Magus begins laughing loudly and menacing.
Even though Atem/Yugi and Kaiba won, they must now contain themselves with Shadow Magus. Will they beat him?

Author's Note: This duel is so basic that making it into a two parter was pointless. I mean it, this was my call. If not for a Kaiba CHARACTER GROWTH arc, I wouldn't have done it. So here you go guys! Plus I wanted to hurry up with these chapters too.
Also I just want to say Grave of the Super Ancient Organism is an OP card… if not for Xyz and Link Monsters being a thing. Other than those, yea.
