Chapter Thirty-eight: Date?
Mai POV
"I feel bad for him," I whispered watching Naru place the bones on the bonfire he built near the ocean. I rubbed my arms watching Naru come to my side.
"Then? What do we do now?" I asked him, looking at how the fire consumes the body.
"We wait, to see what they will do. Either way, we just need to find his head, and find a way to get rid of Isac." He stated, sitting on the log, crossing his arms. I nodded, sitting next to him.
"Then we wait…" I said nodding my head.
O.o
Tick Tock, it's Seven
"Naru, it's been six months," I groaned, as I watched him tighten the logs together.
I sat on the log a few feet away from him.
"We still haven't found the page." He murmurs, placing the logs over his shoulders wiping his forehead. I blushed, as I stare at his naked torso watching his muscles move.
He gained a lot of muscles since we have been here. Gain more color, but the strange thing, even though it's been seven years we still look the same but I do admit, we do slightly older, maybe about a year or something?
"Where are you taking those logs?" I stood from the log, heading in his direction.
"Boat." He tells me.
"Right." I smiled heading for the ocean. Reaching the sandy grounds we turn towards our right, seeing Naru half-made boat, tilt over. I have to admit, he's very good at it.
"How much longer?"
About another year, or so." He explains,
"Ah, okay." I place my arms behind my back watching him place the logs down on the sandy after we reach the boat. He starts to work on the boat.
"Want me to help?"
"No..." he stated. Frowning, I sat on the sand looking up at the beautiful sky.
"I'm glad that the cold is over, which was strange, but either way. I miss wearing a dress." I told him as I smooth my red dress.
Naru just grunts for an answer.
"Ten means years, that means we have three more years and we can finally leave this island," I explain.
"I figure that much, the reason is why though? I feel like there's something strange about this, but I can't put my finger on it." He tells me. I turned my gaze at him hearing him grunt. He was using the knife to cut a thick piece of plank.
He's right though.
"So…" I stretched running my hands through my legs, not knowing what to say. Naru paused, turning his gaze at me, and arched a brow.
"Let's go and have fun, you have been working on the boat, and other things for a while. We haven't even had any time for ourselves or property date." I told him.
"What exactly do you have in mind for a fun?" he asks throwing the wood at the side of him, taking another plank, and starts to break it with his foot.
"I don't know anything, like last time. We can play in the water, swim, climb, um.." I paused, looking at my hands.
"Fine." I heard him throw something, dusting his hands.
"Huh?" I lifted my gaze, to see him bend down to my level, breathing softly as he scans my eyes, my heart jumps while he seems in deep thought. I felt nervous under his gaze.
"Let's do that." He complies.
"Really?" he nods, as he stood, stretching out his arm so I took his hand, and he pulls me up. For a reason, a smile passes my lips as I clap.
"Yes... Finally." I jump in happiness.
"Let's go." I took his arm and headed out.
..
...
...
"Naru, remember that promise you made me, so you can enter my mind," I asked, looking down at the chest.
"Yes... You want to do it now?" he asks.
"Hai, I want to, also, I want to go on a date," I murmured, trying to avoid his gaze. He looks down at me, with a raised brow.
"A date?"
"Yes. I have never been on a date, funny I'm married but have never been on a date. So I want one, with my husband." I stood, stretching out a short-sleeve white shirt. Going around him, I open his shirt, placing his hand through the hole, I stretched it out and did the same on the other side. Adjusting it around his shoulder as my cheeks flared up. He stares at me, while I started to button up his shirt from the bottom up. A smile spreads through my lips, feeling my heart warm up.
"Having fun?" Naru seems to notice my mood swing. I nodded as my smile spread more.
"I feel like a real wife dressing my hubby, so, it makes me very happy." I glance up... He just stares. I turned, bending down, looking for clean pants.
"You're a real wife Mai," he gave the obvious. I flushed and nodded at him.
"True," I nervously rubbed the back of my head.
Finding black pants, I stood and place my hands around his waist, and unbutton his pants. Then I stop, feeling awkward now, he seems to understand me, since he moves back and takes off his pants, throwing them on the side.
Bending down, I did what he did to me and pull the pants up, avoiding the fact, that I had a clear view of his um, yeah, so I straighten up, and zip up his pants, and place the button on. Then I smooth his shirt down, from his broad shoulders.
"Now, you look decent. Even though I didn't mind how you look earlier." I smiled with a deep blush then tiptoed to fix his hair, brushing it to the side.
"You're so handsome Naru." I smiled placing my hands on his broad shoulders.
"Glad you still have a good eye," he said as he leans down to kiss my cheek then walks around me causing me to giggle. I turned to follow him.
"Naru. I have a question." I asked, moving to his side and he glances at me.
"What do you normally do on dates? I don't know." I felt a little embarrassed since I should know, but he shrugs.
"Don't know," is his answer.
"You don't?" You went a couple of dates with Masako, how can you not know?"
"I wasn't paying attention to the interactions and it wasn't a date per se, more like blackmailed," he admits, shrugging. I bit my lower lip, trying to find something to do.
"Blackmail?"
"Gene Mai, she knew about Gene." he reminds me.
"Oh, that makes sense." I felt bad as I rub his arm for comfort.
"Sorry, then let me be the first to be your first real date ever. I know that eating is later, so let's go as the day takes us since we can't go and see a movie or go to an amusement park." He nods, as I shyly look down at the ground, not sure how to act.
"What's wrong?" Naru breaks the silence.
"Just awkward since this is our first date after being married almost seven years," I admit to him.
"Hmm, true," he admits.
Well, this is going smoothly, I shouldn't have brought it up.
I mentally scolded myself.
"Don't scold yourself Mai we'll find something." He assures me wrapping his arm around my shoulders giving me a gentle squeeze causing me to look up at him and my worry just melted off as I told him.
"One of these days, I will learn your secret of how in the world you can just know what I'm thinking of, not only you're a ninja, but a mind reader." Naru rose a brow at my words but then chuckles.
"You sure have an active imagination."
...
...
...
"Mai, I can't believe I'm asking this; what are you doing? Are you trying to become a monkey? This isn't part of dating last time I checked Mai." Naru groans pinching the bridge of his nose. A vain pop out of his statement after half an hour later of just walking. I stare at the tree as though it was my prey.
"No. I'm trying to learn how to climb a tree, looks like fun." I told him after we spot a monkey climbing a tree a few minutes ago.
I jumped the tree trying to grasp it but ends up with a fail since I fell on the ground hurting my behind. I grunt in pain rubbing my behind.
"No is not, I don't want my wife to become an ape woman, so please for the sake of argument, stop it." Naru pleads to me.
"Come on, I can do this and I won't become an ape woman, I'm not even that hairy Naru," I mumbled, clapping my hands, and huffed rolling my shoulders.
"I know you aren't, that's not what I meant," Naru rubs the back of his neck shaking his head
I ran towards the tree, only to hug it tightly and groaned, but began to wiggle myself up. Naru moves next to me, and leans against the tree crossing his arms, looking up at me with an amused look.
"Having fun?"
"Lots, I will climb at least to the first branch." I felt determent, still wiggling up. Naru closed his eyes.
"Thank you for your support and help. I know how much you love me." I sarcastically told him, wiggling more, making small huff noises.
Naru opens his eyes, and stare as I briefly reach his height though. Noticing that his lips are twitching up.
"What?" I asked as I kept moving slowly. He shook his head, leaning more into the tree.
"Want me to help?" His voice cracked a little.
"No. I'm good," I told him, moving my foot and kept wiggling, but this time, Naru covers his mouth, hearing a laugh escape his lips. I turned to face him.
"Ne? Are you laughing at me?"
"No.." his voice became high-pitched, causing me to give him a death glare.
"Yes, you are, not again. Why?" I asked as he lowers his hand and he couldn't resist it any longer.
"You look like a small worm wiggling like that. Ha," Naru burst out laughing, wrapping his arms around his stomach. I look down, as he clenches down, laughing even more.
"Hey, I don't look like a worm. I just want to climb the tree." I glance up, seeing that I haven't even made any progress at all. I was about to jump down, but fear shot through me fearing that I could hurt myself.
"Ne, Naru, can you help me down!" I begged as he straightens up and clears his throat. He moves behind me, placing both of his hands on each side of me, trapping me against him. I turned my head to stare at his blue eyes since he is hunched to my side. My heart started to beat hard.
"Keep going, Mai." He slowly tells me, for a reason, his laughter is gone, replace by a deep enjoyable voice, that seems to stir my blood.
"No, please help me down. I'm scared." I begged, regretting this. He moves closer to me, feeling his back, press closely on my behind. My eyes widen.
"Ne?" I felt his hand on mine, making my breath catch.
"I just realized something." He tells me, pressing himself closer to me. I bit off a groaned, as I tighten my grip on the tree. I didn't even trust my voice to ask. I felt him nuzzling the back of my head in a loving way causing my heart to increase.
Oh no, he's either teasing me or seducing me. Either way, I can't help but love it.
"How small you are, come, my little worm." He whispers, wrapping his arm around my waist, and picks me up as though I weighed nothing. Placing me down he lets go and clears his throat.
"Well, that was something." He mumbles as my cheeks flared up from embarrassment.
"Aish, that was embarrassing, why did you call me a little worm, I'm not that short." I defended, huffing my chest forward, as Naru straightens his body and I look up to see how tall he really as I only stood up to his midway to his chest.
"Not little? You barely pass my chest, Mai." He seems to find my height amusing.
"Well, err, men should be taller than women. Also, you grew more." I defended while flinching. He chuckles a little.
"Right, keep telling yourself that to make yourself feel better," He mumbles.
"Mean, not my fault I'm short, either way, what's next? " I move forward, stretching my arm out, and huffed towards I don't know, but Naru grabs my arm and spun me around causing me to gasp and look at him.
"Your height is perfect Mai, I find you very adorable because you can do things I can't, so don't think for a second I don't like it," he assures me. I felt shy by this causing me to feel my heart race so much.
"You're just buttering me up aren't you?" I teased as he shook his head seriously.
"If I was, trust me, I had other ways, I mean it," he said. I took hold of his collar and hunched him down slightly and I press my lips on his right cheek and kissed it gently causing him to blush.
Naru POV
"There, a perfect sandcastle." Mai dusts her hands standing up. I lift my head since I was laying on the sand getting some sun since we try not to do a lot so we won't get sunburn are skins already as tan as it is. I get to see a very mediocre castle falling apart. I cover my mouth, trying to stop myself from laughing.
"So, what do you think?" she asks me proudly, placing her hands on her hips.
"Are you a kid?" I asked, crossing my arms. Mai puffs her lower lip, kicking the sand with her left foot.
"You're never too old to build a sandcastle, no matter what age you are. You like it?" she asks like a small child that did her first drawing of her mother. I tilt my head as I inspect the drawing.
"What castle?" I teased, looking at it, Mai turns and her eyes widen.
"Oh no." she drops to her knees, immediately trying to fix her fail castle. Feeling a little bad, I stood, and went around her, to grab some water from the large leaf I brought earlier, and poured it on the sand. Slowly I move to her side and start to pat it down. Mai lifts her gaze at me, with grateful eyes.
"You know the tide will destroy it, what's the point?" I asked her. She smiles at me, as she continues to shape the sand.
"The point is that I have done something that will always be in my memories, and I tried my best. It's now even better because you help me." She smiles brightly, noticing her cheeks turning red. Returning to the sand. Without anything to say, I continue to help, until, I brush my hand against her hearing her gasp.
I didn't move my head, but place my hand on top of hers, feeling my heart hammer, just like earlier when I teased her while I picked her up from the tree.
"Make it a little harder when pressing the sand together or not it will fall apart," I whispered, feeling myself grow a little nervous.
"Did you do this a lot with Gene?" she asks me timidly as I move my hand and place it over hers, intertwining our fingers.
"Yes, when our parents would take us to the beach, we would do this," I smiled at the memories when Eugene and I would build sandcastles and I would try to sabotage it and Gene would get mad at me. I miss that. I frowned when Mai took notice of my mood switching.
"You know what I wish Naru?" she asks me as she brought my hand against her cheek, leaning against my sandy palm, looking at me with tender eyes.
"What?"
"That Gene would be here playing with you, I think you would be so happy," she whispers as I felt my heart tighten by her words.
Her words mean so much, yes, I wish Gene was here with us.
I caress her cheek with my thumb as I watch her close her eyes. My eyes soften.
"You know," she paused, bringing my hand in front of her to stare at it.
"Hmm?"
"I love your big hands. They are warm and protective. They have become rough, due to the strains over the years here, but I just love them and I can't get enough of them." She blushes madly, causing me to blush as well, but I get on my knees and surprised her as I take a hold of her hands, looking down at them.
"Mai, your hands are small rough, and ugly," I whispered, pressing both of my hands on hers, making it like a sandwich.
"Geez, what a way to woo me," she spat dryly as she couldn't help but to smile at me, finally learning to let me finish my sentence.
Hey, she didn't run away, that's a good sign.
"I'm not trying to woo you, but there are good things about them. They aren't perfect, but, they are warm, caring, soft, and above all things, you can give conform to someone in need and your touches mean the whole world to me." I told her the truth. The simple touch of her hands would bring me peace and joy and I can feel her love through her touch.
Her eyes widen as I press my lips on her palm, enjoying her warmth.
"Naru? Really?" she gasps out, moving away.
"Yes, really," I assured her as she moves to kiss my lips gently, then moves back looking at me as though I was the greatest man on this earth causing my heart to jump.
I ran my tongue across my lips, only to immediately spit out since sand enters my mouth tasting awful. Mai moves to my side, as I heard her giggle.
"Forgot I had sand. Poor Naru. " She giggles even more, as I use my sleeve to wipe the remainder of the sand out of my taste buds. She started to laugh, as I turned my gaze at her.
"What?" I felt annoyed, she waves her hand wrapping her hand on her stomach.
"Your expression was priceless, I wish I had a camera. You look like a spitting camel." She cries this time, moving in the sand with more laughter.
"It wasn't that funny."
"Yes, it was, oh man that was something. What goes around, comes around." She wipes her eye, only to wince. Noticing how red it became.
Well, she has sand in her eyes.
"What goes around comes around huh Mai?" I teased as she began to fan herself.
"Darn," she hisses, rubbing more her eye. I rolled my eyes and took a hold of her hand. Moving forward, I pucker my lips and started to blow softly in her eye. Her eyes widen, as I kept blowing, not noticing how nervous she has become. After a few seconds, I move back.
"See if it's gone." I gently told her. She nods blinking rapidly.
"Oh, it's gone, it doesn't hurt." She throws herself at me and wraps her arms around my shoulders.
"Thank you." She smiles kissing my cheek. I feel my cheek heat up, clearing my throat, she lets go of me and turns to finish the castle.
"Let's finish the castle before the tide comes." I flatly told her. She nods, adjusting herself, and started to work.
"Yes sir, let's do that." she laughs while nudging my shoulder in a playful matter causing me to look at her. She stops her movement and looks at me.
"I'll be your princess, and you'll be my knight." she smiles as I shrugged at her.
"Alright, but I get to go in battles," I suggested causing her to nod.
"Of course, and I'll join you," she said playfully as she wiggles her head causing me to chuckle.
"I wouldn't have any other way." I chuckle, enjoying this a little too much.
..
...
...
"Make sure is tight Mai,"
"I know, I know," Mai protested as I tighten the knot around the palm tree, which is near the path over the big huge trees, to keep us safe and under the shadows.
"You sure it will hold us?" Mai asks as I walk down to her side and made sure the knot she made was secured.
"No, but we can try it, it would be nice to sleep out here from time to time," I shrugged as I made sure the knot is a hundred percent adjusted. Then we both look at the hammock I created with the baby blue sheets that I found in the chest.
"So you want to try?" I asked turning to look at her, Mai raised a brow looking at me.
"Why I'm just a small person Naru, It might hold my weight, but let's test yours," she said while shrugging my shoulders giving me the most innocent look. I rolled my eyes at her, as I took hold of the blanket and took a hold of it to make sure it's stern.
"Be careful my love," Mai said now sounding worried. I look at her and nodded.
With that I was quite satisfied and carefully sat down, still holding up, then swing my legs and lay down and to my amazement, it was holding up. I began to move a bit making the hammock swing and nothing happens. I heard Mai clap.
"It works, this is a good idea, you're lucky there are no mosquitoes." I reach out and grabbed her arm and her eyes widen.
"Ne, Naru?" she squealed as I gently pulled her down making her lay on my chest, as I help her swing her legs over now laying on top of me.
"Oi, we can fall, this isn't secure and I might be heavy." but I began to swing us as I run my fingers down her arm, caressing it gently as she looks up at me.
"I'll take the impact, don't worry," I assured her. She didn't like my words and pouts.
"I don't want you to get hurt," she tells me. I shook my head as I look up at the afternoon sky, seeing a few clouds passing by.
"Well is a responsibility I'm willing to accept, so far it feels sturdy," I admit to her.
"Hmm, if you say so." she didn't sound convinced as I began to feel her rub my chest.
"Am I squeezing you?" she asks me sounded concerned.
"No, you're light Mai, don't worry," I assured her. She wiggles a bit but being careful making the hammock sway even more. I move my hand to remove some of her long hair away from her face and stare.
"Are you enjoying our date?" she questions me.
"Yes, It's peaceful no ghost attacking or having anyone messing it up," I admit causing her to squeal lowering her head.
"Why with the reaction?" I question.
"I'm happy that you're enjoying it, I was scared that you wouldn't since there's nowhere to go to do things,"
"There's always something to do with you Mai, even stranded in an island that became our home," I assured her. She looks back at me and began to caress my face with the back of her fingers.
"It's nice to have a normal day, this past six months has been nerve-wracking," she admits.
"It has," I admit to her. Mai lays down on my chest and snuggles causing me to place my arms around her to kiss the top of her head.
"What do you think the others are doing?" she asks me.
"Not sure."
"Do you think one of them got married?" she asks me causing me to shrugged.
"I don't know, I'm sure they had to move on with their lives, it's almost seven years since we went missing, they can't halt their lives because of us as we cant' halt our lives waiting for them to rescue us, we just have to continue to live until we get rescued," I admit.
"Hmm, true, but I'm sure it wasn't easy for them. I miss them terribly, but after all that happened between us on this island, I have gotten used to it. I forgot how it feels to be in a normal house, going to work, and all the stress. I'm scared of going back to society. The only person that I can be with is with you and I can't imagine for the one time we separate due to work or something, it's scary." she admits to me.
I feel the same, being on this island for so long has changed me so much.
"I feel the same, it's amazing how the human mind gets adjusted to something after so long. I even forgot how it feels to be around other people that it isn't you." I admit to her.
"Good to know I'm not the only one thinking it, this experience has messed us up, but after you left me for five days last year it was the worst for me, I can't imagine it if it's longer. I know this is not healthy since we have to do our own, but how? How can I leave you for only a day?" she asks me.
"I don't know, I was going crazy Mai. I can't leave you not even for an hour." She looks up at me with tender eyes, as her eyes water up.
"We sound like sappy old romance drama novels, you know," she lets a tear roll down as I shrug at her.
"I don't know about that, but maybe we are, but it feels right, it's nice to love as much as we love without nobody judging us. I think since we are trapped we were able to be more open and communicate with each other without having someone getting in the way and we learn how to cope and handle it." I guessed as I wipe her tears away. Mai smiles gently at me.
"It's not easy, but you're right. So when we go back…"
"Our trust is so strong, that no one can break it. We know each other like the back of our hands Mai." I assured her. She smiles at me tenderly and I leaned down to kiss her lips. I felt her smile as she returns the kiss, making it sweet. She then lowers herself and kisses my cheek and down to my neck in a gentle loving matter, making my body jolt.
"I love you so much Oliver Davis, and thank you for everything you do for me." she snuggles up to me as I felt my heart warm up. I hoist her up a bit, to get comfortable and I felt her hand on my chest.
"Me to Mai. If you only knew how much." I assured her as she smiles closing her eyes and I began to swing us until both of us fell into a deep slumber.
...
...
...
About two hours later, we awoke amazed that the hammock didn't fall, but resisted us. I have to admit, I felt a bit stiff, but kept it from Mai, since I enjoy her sleeping with her like that.
"Are you sure this time? Last time, it didn't go right." Mai asks. I nodded, looking down at her.
"When I was Sasuke, he did it with magic. So.. If I'm him. I want to see if I have the same powers. I was meaning to try it out." I simply told her as she came up to me.
"I'll support you." She gave me a simple squeeze of my hand, then takes a step back. I glance down at the water, taking a breath.
"He could pop anywhere, and freeze things, so I can do that right? "
"Don't know, but it does explain why you have Pk, so anything is possible. Freeze any bird that comes by." Nodding at her, I turned, breathing hard.
He just simply feels the power and does what he wants. I can use this to my advantage with those two twins. I need to be stronger, to protect Mai, no matter what.
Closing my eyes, I began to feel my PK radiate through me; feeling the right amount balance out, I open my eyes, to see a couple of tropical birds fly by. I wave my hand and I heard Mai gasp. For a brief second, the birds froze, but then unfroze as fast as it came.
"You did it Naru, not much, but something." She claps. I glance at my hand,
I need to practice more. So I do have his power does that mean, Mai inherited Alice as well?
Moving my body, and did the same as before. This time, I froze some fishes that were jumping up. They remained frozen for a brief thirty seconds and went back to normal.
"Thirty seconds. Good. Now, try me." She points at herself moving back to ready herself. I hesitated, not knowing how will this affect a human.
"Come on Naru. You can do it, I know you can." She cheered me on actually giving me support.
"Alright," I took in a big breath, and stood in front of her. With all my heart, I wish to freeze her, waving my hand, I saw her go still, like a log. I counted the seconds, pass thirty, she doesn't move.
Moving to her side, I wave my hand, but nothing.
"Well, this is something," I mumbled, then after two minutes, Mai unfroze and glance up at me, gasping in fright, and takes a step back.
"How did you get so close?" she seems confused.
"I froze you. Humans are longer. You have been frozen for two minutes." I told her. Her eyes widen.
"Awesome, but I didn't feel anything, either way, I have a supernatural husband, that can freeze things." She rejoices. Nodding, I glance down at my hand once again.
"I need to be careful with this. I can't let anyone know about this. I need to practice more. Mai, I have more abilities, and I have a hunch you as well. We need to get to the bottom of it. I have a feeling Alice's burns aren't an accident. " I told her. She nods looking sadly at me.
"I know, I had the same feeling. We'll figure it out soon. Now, what else you want to do? Our day isn't over unless you want it to be." Her voice dropped sounded disappointed. I glance up at the afternoon sky, then turned, to go around her and wrap my arms around her shoulders, leaning my chin on her shoulder.
"I have a good idea," I whispered to her. I felt her shake, tilting her head so she can look at me.
"What? Something romantic?" She gasps out. I rolled my eyes at her.
"I don't do romance, Mai. You know that." Mai groans.
"I know, but it doesn't hurt to try. So what is in your mind?" Closing my eyes, I concentrated hard, to see if I can do what Sasuke can. I imagine myself and Mai in front of our house, which is warm, and homecoming since we stood by the stream.
"Naru? Oh my, Naru. You did it." Mai glee while she claps happily.
I open my eyes to find myself staring at the stairs of our house. Mai bounces, turning around, wrapping her arms around me.
"How did you do it?" I look down, shrugging at her.
"I just thought of our home," I explained. She smiles kissing my cheek and turns towards the treehouse. Nervously now, I rubbed my hands together.
"Mai. " I paused, not knowing how to put this in words. Mai glance down at me, and smiles.
"Yes?"
"I want to know if you're ready now?" I asked her. She blinks, arching a brow in confusion.
"Ready for what?"
"We have been holding it off for some time now, but I think it's time. Mai, will you marry me today?" oh okay, that sounded way too corny even for me. I rubbed the back of my neck feeling nervous. Mai stood still, her eyes widen, and all I could think,
Damn, I messed up.
Mai POV
I stare at Naru with a strange emotion. All I can hear is his last words, echoing in my head as my heartbeat increased by the second.
Did I hear right? He wants me to marry him today?
"Marry me today?" I whispered, feeling my heart race now. Naru rubs the back of his head and turns his back at me.
"You know, forget what I just asked." He mumbles, heading for the beach.
Mai, move your feet.
I scolded myself as I breathed out since my body seems to reject my brain.
"You'll wear the tux right?" I screamed, causing Naru, to stop in his tracks.
"I haven't lost my humanization, no matter how many years we have lived on this island." Was his answer, I gasp out a cry, as he turns to stare at me.
"You still have that dress?" he asks me. I nodded with anticipation.
"Of course, it's been waiting for me to wear it." Without a doubt, my feet could move once again, and I started to run towards him, he stares as I jump in his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist, feeling his hand on my bottom, so I won't tip down. I kiss his cheek multiple times wrapping my arms around him, holding him tight.
"Ne, Naru. I thought you never ask." I started to cry hard against his neck. Naru holds me tighter, burying his head on my chest.
"I think almost a year of waiting is long enough and it's been quiet, so let's grasp this chance before it hypes up again." He chuckles. I move and capture his cheeks, looking down at his eyes.
"Naru," I closed my eyes and kiss his lips very gently,
"Do you want to hear a secret?" I asked him as I stare at him deep in his eyes. He blinks but nods at me.
"The secret is that… You only made me fall more in love with you, because you kept Romancing me and that my dear husband is a very good thing for a guy that doesn't do romance."
Thanks for the review, I change this chapter by adding a new part of their dates, thought it would fit much better. Thanks. :)
