Hello to all! This is Episode 49 of the arc of Volume 5: The Dark Conquest!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 5: Episode 49: The Ticking Countdown! The Last Boss: Ryan VS Yami Bakura!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Mew Ichigo, with Team RWBY, most of her fellow Mews and Sailor Moon fought against Torchwick forces with the fiend and zombies under his command. However, thanks to their teamwork and Ruby finally able to do a physical headbutt, the girls defeated the enemy and headed off to reunite with the others.
Elsewhere Yugi and the others have finally confronted Arkham after he defeated Jim and O'Brien. Yugi stepped forward and challenged the mask villain who accepted eagerly. Taking control though, Atem and Yugi now fight as one to defeat this man.
The duel started with Atem able to use the new Poker Knight cards and even the return of the Kuriboh Brothers to bring out a strong field to oppose Arkham's Evil HEROes. However that changed when Arkham brought out an overpowering new Evil HERO and locked Atem from summoning his God Monsters. However Yugi was beaten yet as he placed all of his hope on the cards Haruto gave him before and placed all of his hope onto this last draw. Drawing it, Yugi activated Magicalized Fusion to bring out the ultimate magician, Quintet Magician. With this new monster's incredible ability and effect that could resist Super Polymerization and Arkham's trap, Yugi defeated Arkham.
Domino had been saved but the Dark Conquest RPG wasn't done yet as the final boss, Yami Bakura, appeared.
Will Team Dragon Knight win? What will happen next?

Finally, Team Dragon Knight and their allies stare down at Yami Bakura. Kojan still observes over the building.
Yugi turns to see Mew Ichigo beside him. She eyes him smiling and Yugi smiles back happily. He then faces Yami Bakura with a determined gaze, proclaiming. ''It ends here, Zorc-kun!''
''Well it seems like it is.'' Yami Bakura responds with a smirk, not surprised Yugi and his group defeated all the 4 zones but then again it wouldn't have been a fun game.
''I suppose I have no choice. Now…'' He begins to say as he lifts his arm, showing his Duel Disk already activated as he proclaims. ''Who shall duel me?''
Most of the staggers who can't stand that the end of the world has to be settled in a children's card game.
''You can't be serious?'' Ruby yells out in complaint. Ed even barks just as irritated. ''You think we'll play that game with you!''
''Tick-tock.'' Yami Bakura simply speaks out like a clock, reminding them of the time limit they are in. Yugi checks the time and it is 5:34. They can't waste time.
''Hmph, fine with me. I'll be your opponent.'' Kaiba speaks up, willingly to put an end to this pest. Jonouchi sweat drops, wanting to step in.
''We should leave it to Yugi-kun.'' Mew Ichigo protests firmly, knowing Yugi can win this. Kaiba gets pissed and protests. ''Like hell! I can handle this scum myself!''
''Um…'' Ryan begins uttering out, getting Yugi's attention.
''Why not Judai-chan?'' Sailor Moon asks as she can see him win. Judai smirks, actually liking that idea but Kaiba immediately protests once more. ''Why not shut it! That worm lost to me and-''
''I might have gotten stronger.'' Judai taunts him, pretty confident he has gotten stronger which pisses Kaiba off.
''Um can I-'' Ryan tries to speak up again but Ed butts in furious. ''We don't have time for this bickering!''
''Me or Yugi can-'' Jonouchi tries to say the obvious and Kaiba gives him a cold silence. He staggers as Mew Ichigo once more says. ''Just let Yugi-''
''And I said to-'' Kaiba counters angrily but this causes the catgirl to hiss just as angry towards him. The others try to speak up their opinion as Ryan sweat drops, sighing. Yugi walks up beside him and asks him with a carefree smile. ''Ryan-kun, you got this?''
Ryan startles, looking at him and slowly smiles nodding. Yugi smiles, nodding back, trusting his word.
The white haired young man walks past the others and proclaims, activating his Duel Disk. ''I'll be your opponent.''
This staggers Yami Bakura as does everyone else.
''Excuse me?!'' Kaiba utters out furious, gazing towards Yugi as he tells him off. ''Are you trying to ruin all of this damn work, Yugi?!''
Yugi looks at him and says with a small smile. ''I trust Ryan-kun. He'll win.''
Mew Erika looks at him and smiles a bit, wanting to trust in him too.
Yami Bakura suddenly starts laughing at this, proclaiming. ''Your faith on your friends is pathetic.''
Yugi looks at him about to speak up but Ryan speaks up for him. ''It's stronger than your twisted desires of winning!''
Yami Bakura now looks at Ryan who believes in the chivalry and trust Yugi has. That's something he wants to achieve and succeed in.
''Yugi is right. We're fighting together to save everyone and you're only doing it to achieve your evil ambitions.'' Ryan speaks up determinedly as he vows. ''That's why we won't lose to you.''
The villainous enemy scoffs at this and accepts his challenge. ''Then face me!''
''Gladly!'' Ryan responds, smiling.
Kaiba growls with his arms crossed, not going to tolerate it if this idiot loses. Yugi remains calm, knowing Ryan will win this.
"Duel!'' Ryan and Yami Bakura shout, drawing their 5 cards and starting the duel.
Duel Screen: Ryan Quint: 4000LP vs. Yami Bakura: 4000LP
Kaiba glares angrily towards Yugi who smiles.
"This is a bad idea, Yugi. If he loses then we're all screwed.'' Jonouchi points out the obvious, really not liking this one bit. Yugi looks at him and then everyone else feels a bit of unease about the risk Yugi has made.
Regardless, the tricolor head smiles and says. ''I believe in Ryan-kun.''
''And I believe in Yugi-kun Nya!'' Mew Ichigo proclaims, trusting onto Yugi too. Mew Erika smiles, expressing too in agreement. ''I do too.''
Jonouchi staggers and looks defeated.
Looking at his hand, Yami Bakura orders his opponent with a smirk. ''You can go first.''
''If you say so.'' Ryan gladly accepts, confidently. Jonouchi sweat drops, unease how confident he is about this.
''Kukuku, then let our Game of Darkness begin.'' Yami Bakura announces while Ryan mutters confusion. ''A what?''
''Oh don't worry; we'll just take real damage.'' Yami Bakura simply says with a smug smirk with Ryan sweat dropping and mutters out. ''O-Okay?''

''My turn, draw!'' Ryan declares, drawing his top card. He looks at his hand and summons a monster. ''First I summon Sublimation Knight!''
Appearing is the armored knight with steam pumps coming out as well as steam.
Sublimation Knight Lvl 3 ATK: 1300 DEF: 200
''Sublimation Knight's effect upon being summoned lets me equip a FIRE Warrior or Genimi monster from my Deck to itself. I choose the Union Monster, Squeaknight!'' Ryan explains his monster's effect searching through his deck and picks his monster, equipping it to his knight. He then announces using the monster equipped. ''Next Squeaknight's effect lets me Special Summons itself while equipped and treating him as a Tuner too.''
Appearing beside the fuming knight is a tiny mouse knight with a cheddar-like shield and sword.
Squeaknight Lvl 1 ATK: 500 DEF: 500
''So cute!'' Mew Ichigo, Sailor Moon, Alicia, Ruby along with the rest of Team RWBY and Mew Plum express themselves happily while Mew Erika blushes red.
Ryan then proceeds chanting. ''I tune the Level 3 Sublimation Knight with the Level 1 Tuner Squeaknight!''
Squeaknight swings his sword before becoming a green energy circle. It overlaps around Sublimation Knight, becoming 3 bright stars and then the stars glow and expand, shooting out a green beam of light.
''Synchro Summon!'' Ryan calls forth as a figure emerges from the light. ''Level 4! Underworld Fighter Balmung!''
Emerging is a black armored knight monster.

''I set a card face-down.'' Ryan then announces setting a card behind his knight and finishes his turn. ''I end my turn.''
Duel Screen: Turn 2_ Ryan: 4000LP H: 4 / Bakura: 4000LP H: 5
''Kukuku, my turn!'' Laughing humorously, Yami Bakura responds as he draws his top card. He looks at his options, humming evilly to waste time.
''Now then-'' He begins taunting and Ed orders him furious. ''MAKE YOUR GODDAMN MOVE!''
Chuckling, Yami Bakura replies. ''Might as well…''
Grabbing a card, he commences by activating it. ''First, I activate the Spell Card, Card Destruction. Now we discard both our hands and redraw the same amount.''
Ryan eyes his hand and discards it as does Yami Bakura. Next with their new hands, Yami Bakura declares playing a card as his Field Spell slot opens up. ''Next I activate the Field Spell, Dark Sanctuary!''
''Ah god no.'' Jonouchi mutters out as Yami Bakura puts the card and the field alters, becoming the twisted, demonic demon world with multiple eyes staring at all with a large demonic castle behind him.
The rest of the group stares unease with Ruby shaking and Sailor Moon groaning in a panic.
''Just why…'' Alicia questions with a sweat dropped expression.
Snickering, Yami Bakura soon says amused. ''Now the first step of my victory is fulfilled.''
Yugi overhears that unease while Kaiba remains calm.
''My second…'' Yami Bakura then says as he reaches a card and plays it, holding it forward. ''I activate the spell, Final Countdown!''
The sky gains a demonic, creepy smiling, skull face. Ruby trembles her legs more.
''In 20 turns, I win the duel all with the cost of 2000 of my Life Points.'' Yami Bakura explains with a smug smirk. Yugi glares as he's certain he has something else in mind with Dark Sanctuary in play.
''Oh but the fun hasn't started yet. I activate the spell, Dark Spirit's Mastery!'' Yami Bakura proceeds with his turn playing a new spell. He discards a card as he begins to explain. ''I discard 1 card to add either a Level 8 Fiend monster from my Deck or Graveyard or…''
A card pops out as he grabs it and reveals it, being his other winning condition.
''Destiny Board.'' Yugi mutters, figuring as much. Kaiba sulks also figuring as much, saying. ''So that's his strategy.''
Kojan watches over them, seeing what the enemy is doing but what's the point of dropping his Life Points if his aim is Destiny Board too?
''I set 1 card face-down.'' Yami Bakura declares, setting Destiny Board before ending his turn. ''Turn end.''
A fireball manifests over Yami Bakura, symbolizing the beginning of the end.

Ryan looks at the set card and then the field. He's aware of Dark Sanctuary's effect so he'll have to settle the duel as fast as possible.
''My turn!'' Ryan declares drawing his top card. At that moment, Yami Bakura laughs as he triggers his set card. ''I activate my set card, Destiny Board!''
His set card flips over as the Ouija board manifests.
''Now at the end of your turn, I place a Spirit Message card on my Field but thanks to Dark Sanctuary, it can be even place face-up on my Monster Card Zone as a Normal Monster that cannot protect me from attacks but are unaffected by your cards.'' Yami Bakura explains his combination of Destiny Board with Dark Sanctuary.
Ryan now really needs to settle this as he summons a monster. ''I summon Evocator Eveque!''
He summons his fiery Gemini monster wielding a fiery, double ended flail.

''Next since I control a FIRE Warrior monster, I can Special Summon this card from my hand.'' Ryan then explains as he summons forth. ''Let's go, Infernoble Knight – Renaud!''
Appearing is his dark red haired Infernoble Knight.
Infernoble Knight – Renaud Lvl 1 ATK: 500 DEF: 200
''Renaud's effect lets me add a FIRE Warrior monster or an Equip Spell that is banished or in my Graveyard and add it back to my hand. Plus Renaud is treated as a Tuner.'' Ryan explains as a card pops out from his Graveyard slot and grabs it. He then proceeds, announcing with a smile. ''I tune the Level 4 Evocator Eveque with the Level 1 Tuner Renaud!''
Renaud shines, becoming a green large circle as it overlaps around Eveque who turns into 4 bright green stars.
''Courageous souls cross over to become the noble blade of justice!'' Ryan chants as the stars become and shoot out a bright green light. He calls forth smiling. ''Synchro Summon! Lit your blades with courage, Infernoble Knight Captain Oliver!''
Emerging out the light is a more upgraded, stronger Infernoble Knight Oliver from mere knight to captain.
Infernoble Knight Captain Oliver Lvl 5 ATK: 2000 DEF: 500
''Not done as I activate the Equip Spell, Supervise! I can Special Summon a Gemini monster from my Graveyard and have it gain its effect.'' Ryan proceeds playing the Equip Spell he got back from his Graveyard as he calls forth. ''Revive, Evocator Eveque!''
His Gemini monster returns back to the field.

''Evocator Eveque's effect upon being summoned Special Summons a FIRE Warrior or Gemini monster from my Graveyard!'' Ryan explains as a card pops out from his Graveyard slot and summons it. ''Come back, Squeaknight!''
The cute mouse knight returns back to the field while Mew Ichigo and Sailor Moon giggle though both are still very uneasy by Dark Sanctuary in place.
Squeaknight Lvl 1 ATK: 500 DEF: 500
''And once more Squeaknight can become a Tuner!'' Ryan adds with a wink before he proclaims, raising his hand forward. ''I once more turn the Level 4 Evocator Eveque with the Level 1 Tuner Squeaknight!''
Squeaknight becomes a large green circle again, surrounding Eveque as he becomes 4 stars.
''Blazing souls transcend to give birth to the fiery blade of justice! Wield your blade to protect others!'' Ryan chants, smiling as the stars become a bright light of energy as he calls forth. ''Synchro Summon! Captain of the nobility, Infernoble Knight Captain Roland!''
Emerging from the light is the upgraded Roland, standing beside his fellow Captain.

''Supervise if it is sent to the Graveyard lets me Special Summon a Normal Monster from my Graveyard.'' Ryan then explains his Equip Spell's effect as he brings back his Gemini monster a second time. ''Come back, Evocator Eveque!''

Manjoume staggers with Edo whistles that this guy has 4 strong monsters… and he becomes more questionable where this guy came from. Edo is aware by Pegasus of 5 powerful duelists… So where was this guy? And now speaking about it… even D – Force was different. What is going on?
''Awesome.'' Mew Erika mutters, blushing, taken back. Jonouchi notices that and groans even more upset.
Looking at his field and one card in his hand, Ryan tells himself seriously. ''I'll finish it this turn.''
He proceeds playing the card in his hand. ''I equip Captain Roland with the Equip Spell, Divine Sword – Immortal Phoenix Blade!''
Materializing is a new blade that resembles the original Divine Sword – Phoenix Blade except it has the same matching colors as Immortal Phoenix Gearfried and has bright burning flames surrounding its blade. Captain Roland grabs on it, surrounding in a fiery aura.
''Captain Roland now gains 300 ATK and he's unaffected by your card effects.'' Ryan explains his equip spell's power as he then adds as a card pops from his Graveyard slot. ''Plus I equip Captain Roland with Infernoble Knight Maugis from my Graveyard with its effect while as an Equip Spell and giving my monster Battle protection!''
A fiery aura surrounds Captain Roland, protecting himself somewhat.
''Battle! Captain Roland, attack directly!'' Ryan declares, commencing his Battle Phase as he orders. Yami Bakura laughs at this and reveals. ''Dark Sanctuary allows me to toss a coin and if it lands on Heads, your attack-''
''I'm aware. Toss it please.'' Ryan says politely as he adds with a chuckle. ''Shame my Equip Spell locks you from that. Guess-''
Sulking fully aware, Yami Bakura declares mad. ''You really think I would be foolish enough to let you win so easily.''
Grabbing the only card in his hand, Yami Bakura shouts and shows it. ''I activate Dark Spirit of Banishment from my hand.''
Ryan blinks as Yami Bakura explains with a smirk as he sends it to the Graveyard. ''When you declare a direct attack, I can send this card to Special Summon a Level 8 Fiend monster from my Graveyard buts its effects will be negated.''
His Graveyard leaks out darkness as it twists the surroundings.
''Appear before us…'' Yami Bakura, with a partly distorted voice, calls forth as the darkness floats upward and takes on a form. ''Curse Necrofear!''
Appearing is a more fading, almost ghostly version of Dark Necrofear.
Curse Necrofear Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
Jonouchi groans uneasily while Mew Ichigo trembles.
''It's a more disturbed Dark Necrofear.'' The dark blond haired says with a look of unease.
Ryan stares also unease as Yami Bakura explains. ''Now your attack target changes to my summoned monster.''
Thinking about it, Ryan decides with a smile. ''I'll pass. Instead Captain Oliver attacks!''
Captain Roland stops due to Immortal Phoenix Blade's effect as Captain Oliver comes charging. Ryan then reveals, pointing forward. ''I now activate Captain Oliver's effect, destroying a face-up card! I choose Curse Necrofear!''
Yami Bakura glares as he proclaims. ''Dark Sanctuary's effect activates!''
A dark evil coin manifests and flips. Everyone watches as a card lands and it is Heads
''You love it when luck is on your side…'' Yami Bakura begins to say with a grin. ''Now your attack is negated and you take half of your monster's ATK.''
''But your monster is destroyed.'' Ryan then reminds him firmly as Captain Oliver swings his swords, releasing a powerful fiery energy slash that cuts through Curse Necrofear, destroying it. But then a ghostly being comes out from the Infernoble Knight and hits Ryan. He groans in pain, losing 1000LP.
Ryan felt that hard, muttering out. ''O-Okay… real damage… great.''
Mew Erika sweat drops by not assuming that their foe is not human. But Ryan still has 2 other monsters to-
''KUKUKU!'' Yami Bakura suddenly laughs eagerly as he then declares. ''I activate both Dark Spirit of Banishment and Malice from my Graveyard, adding them both to my hand if a Level 8 Fiend monster I control is sent to my Graveyard.''
Two cards pop out as he adds them to his hand. Ryan stares still not worried as he declares. ''Balmung, attack directly and finish this!''
His dark knight comes leaping at him but Yami Bakura then counters as a card pops out from his Graveyard slot. ''I banish The Ghost Banshee of Horrific Dreams from my Graveyard.''
Emerging is a more ghostly, almost decaying version of the Gross Ghost of Fled Dreams. It shrieks a terrifying scream so strong it pushes and immobilizes the rest of Ryan's monsters.
''With its effect, I end the Battle Phase.'' Yami Bakura reveals, stopping his opponent's attack as he then adds with a smirk. ''Not only that but for each Fiend or Zombie monster in my hand; a number of turns shall be skipped.''
''Skipped!'' Jonouchi utters out in dismay. Yami Bakura reveals his two monsters and it skips his current turn to Turn 5 and Final Countdown has accelerated as does 3 more floating fireballs.

Even the group not into dueling can tell this is really wrong.
''This can't be possible…'' Kaiba comments with a look of fury. Yugi nods as he points out. ''He has 2 Win Conditions.''
Kaiba scoffs irritated because now Yugi threw everything on a duelist who will lose to these 2 dangerous win conditions.
Looking at his options, Ryan sighs as he says with a small smile. ''I'm finish with my turn.''
Mew Erika watches, knowing Ryan will not lose to this.
''Destiny Board's effect. I place Spirit Message E onto my field.'' Yami Bakura instantly announces as the board moves and moves from D to E. He laughs as he then announces. ''But also Curse Necrofear's effect activates!''
Ryan blinks as the field becomes distorted as Yami Bakura explains. ''Whenever it is sent to the Graveyard by your card, it Special Summons itself back to the field! Revive!''
Soon reappearing is Curse Necrofear as the evil puppet ghost baby turns its head around and Sailor Moon turns pale at how creepy that is.
Curse Necrofear Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
''Next I can destroy cards my controls for each face-up Spell and Trap card I control with different names.'' Yami Bakura then explains, shocking Ryan. He smirks as he reveals. ''I control 3 cards so I destroy 3 of your cards!''
Curse Necrofear's eyes glow as a creepy aura twirls around her body.
''Pray-for-Death Wave!'' Yami Bakura commands as his monster fires eye beams that split and tear through Captain Oliver, Balmung and Ryan's set Dimension Fissure, destroying them. Ryan braces as he then announces. ''Balmung's effect if it's destroyed by card effect Special Summons a Level 4 or lower monster from my Graveyard except itself.''
A card pops out as Ryan summons it. ''I summon Noble Knight Drystan!''
Appearing is brown, small ponytail haired warrior clad in a black, silver coloring armor with a white cape. He wields a small harp, playing it elegantly.
Noble Knight Drystan Lvl 4 ATK: 1800 DEF: 800
''Also Captain Roland's effect during the End Phase which was Synchro Summoned sends an Equip Spell from my Deck to add a Warrior monster from my Deck to my hand.'' Ryan then reveals as he adds a monster and reveals it to be Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. He then says, a bit upset. ''Plus Divine Sword – Immortal Phoenix Blade's effect destroys itself during the end of my turn.''
The blade self-destructs from Captain Roland's possession and soon another turn passes as another fireball forms.

''My turn!'' Yami Bakura declares drawing his top card. He looks at it and plays it. ''I activate the spell, Graceful Charity! Now I draw 3 cards but then I must discard 2 cards from my hand.''
He draws his 3 cards and then sends 2 cards to the Graveyard. Once he does, Yami Bakura then reveals with a smirk. ''I discarded Souls of the Damn and its effect skips 2 of our respective turns.''
Ryan staggers and Jonouchi complains. ''Again?''
A much eviler version of Souls of the Forgotten manifests and explodes, releasing a wave across the field. It skips to Bakura's 8th turn as Final Countdown accelerates once more with two more fireballs.
Number of Turns since Final Countdown was activated: 7
''I banish Dark Spirit's Mastery and place Spirit Message H from my Graveyard to the bottom of my Deck and draw 1 card.'' Yami Bakura then reveals the card he discarded before returning back to his Deck and then he draws a card.
He looks at it and chuckles, announcing. ''I release Curse Necrofear.''
Curse Necrofear vanishes as Yami Bakura calls forth. ''Appear my Ka, Diabound Kernel!''
Appearing is the grey humanoid part snake monster with tiny wings.
Diabound Kernel Lvl 5 ATK: 1800 DEF: 1200
''Battle! Diabound Kernel, attack-'' Yami Bakura begins to declare an attack towards Eveque but immediately Ryan announces. ''As long as Drystan is on my field and while I control another Noble Knight monster, you cannot target or attack monsters with less than 1800 ATK, except this card.''
Yami Bakura scoffs at not caring as he orders. ''Then I will attack Captain Roland.''
Diabound slithers towards the Infernoble Knight with swift speed as Yami Bakura reveals. ''Diabound gains 600ATK when it declares an attack.''
Diabound goes up to 2400 ATK as it swings its snake half and smacks Captain Roland backwards as the snake head bites onto the knight, squeezing him in pain and Ryan feels it gasping.
''Go Diabound! Death Spiral!'' Yami Bakura orders as Diabound grips his hands between each other and moves its arms forward, firing a dark spiral-like blast, tearing through the Infernoble Knight and destroying it. Ryan feels it in agony, taking 400 of damage. He even spits out blood from his mouth.
Yami Bakura sneers as he reaches for a card in his hand and declares setting it. ''I set 1 card face-down.''
A facedown card manifests behind Diabound as he finishes his turn. ''Turn end!''

Eveque is now an Effect Monster as Ryan uses its effect. ''Evocator Eveque's effect lets me Special Summons Infernoble Knight Maugis from my Graveyard!''
Yami Bakura doesn't care but he does declare, triggering his set card. ''I chain and activate the Continuous Trap, Sentence of Doom!''
His card flips over glowing ominous. He explains with a smirk. ''I can target any number of Fiends in my Graveyard or Banished up to the number of Destiny Board and Spirit Message on my Field and add them to my hand. I add 2 monsters.''
Jonouchi panics with Yugi glaring as that means he can do more stuff. Yami Bakura adds both Soul of the Damn and Dark Spirit of Banishment back to his hand as Ryan summons his other Infernoble Knight.
Infernoble Knight Maugis Lvl 4 ATK: 1500 DEF: 1000
''Next I activate Captain Oliver's effect from my Graveyard!'' Ryan then reveals using his stronger Infernoble Knight from his Graveyard as he explains. ''I target Evocator Eveque and next I bring back Captain Oliver as a Tuner and I equip Evocator Eveque to Captain Oliver with 500 ATK!''
Yami Bakura shrugs his shoulders, not caring. Ryan proceeds as he calls forth. ''Come back, Captain Oliver!''
Returning back in flames is Captain Oliver.
Infernoble Knight Captain Oliver Lvl 5 ATK: 2000 DEF: 500
Ryan then declares loudly. ''Next I Overlay the Level 4 Noble Knight monsters Drystan and Maugis!''
Both his monsters become swirls of energy, yellow for Drystan and red for Maugis. The energies shoot up as Ryan chants. ''With both monsters, I create the Overlay Network!''
A large space-like spiral manifests as both lights enter it.
''Nobility and justice, courage and chevalier; appear before me and grant victory for your fellow knights!'' Ryan starts chanting as the portal expands and explodes with him shouting. ''Xyz Summon! Descend knight of knights! Rank 4! Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights!''
Appearing is the King of the Noble Knights, standing proudly.
Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights Rank 4 ATK: 2000 DEF: 2000
''Artorigus' effect lets me equip up to 3 Noble Arms Equip Spells from my Graveyard to himself.'' Ryan explains as two cards pop out from his Graveyard slot and proceeds equipping them. ''I equip both Noble Arms of Thrusting and Infernoble Arms – Durendal!''
Artorigus gains both weapons as Ryan then declares smiling. ''I detach a Xyz Material to activate Artorigus' effect, destroying Spell and Trap cards you control up to the number of Noble Arms Equip Spells I control!''
Raising both swords upward, Ryan shouts as Artorigus swings the swords downward. ''Noble Wave Force!''
He unleashes powerful energy slashes from the swords. However before the energy slashes could hit Destiny Board and Dark Sanctuary but Yami Bakura responds, discarding a card.
''I discard Souls of the Damn's effect from my hand!'' He begins to announce, grinning. ''By discarding it, all Spell and Trap cards I control are unaffected by your card effects.''
His demonic souls intercept the energy slashes and stop them. Ryan groans as Yami Bakura then laughs, discarding another card, declaring. ''Plus I activate Dark Spirit of Malice, discarding it when my opponent activates or uses the effect of a card. Now I can Special Summon a Level 8 Fiend monster from my Graveyard.''
This becomes a worry for Ryan as Yami Bakura calls forth. ''Revive, Curse Necrofear!''
Reappearing is the phantom-like Necrofear.
Curse Necrofear Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
Yami Bakura laughs as he then announces. ''Not only that but Souls of the Damn's other effect activates.''
Ryan worries as two more fireballs which means two more turns have been skipped as it is now Ryan's 11th turn.

''It doesn't matter what you try; your fate is sealed by my hands!'' Yami Bakura declares with a smug smirk, confident in his victory.
Is this really Yami Bakura's win or can Ryan still turn the duel around?

Jonouchi: Damn it, this guy better not lose or so help me, SO HELP ME!
Mew Ichigo: Ryan-kun will win Nya! We won't give up on him.
The duel continues as Ryan isn't bested yet, not going to give up. He can't turn down Yugi's trust he placed on him. Not just him but Erika and everyone else. Ryan has made a connection with them so he can't afford to let them down.
Eyeing on one of his cards, Ryan proclaims with a smile. ''My fate isn't sealed yet! I banish Supervise from my Graveyard.''
His Equip Spell pops out as Ryan soon chants, holding the card in his hand. "Oh warrior who flows with the power of fire! And whose body carries the flames of the phoenix! Now, blazing inferno, ascend to godhood!''
The flames swirl around together like a vortex, spinning rapidly and hotter. Ryan then calls forth proudly. ''Now emerge! Knight of flames that burn through the darkness, Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!"
Emerging in divine flames is the evolved Phoenix Gearfried, twirling around rapidly before taking on a strong pose.

Mew Erika smiles as Mew Ichigo cheers happily. ''Nice Nya!''
Jonouchi nods partly nodding.
But before Ryan can do anything else, Yami Bakura then announces. ''I activate Diabound Kernel's effect!''
Diabound suddenly vanishes and reappears, coiling its snake tail half around Gearfried. Ryan becomes alarmed as Yami Bakura explains with a smirk. ''Your Gearfried loses ATK equal to Diabound's effect until the end of this turn and Diabound returns in the next Standby Phase!''
Diabound's snake head bites into Gearfried before it vanishes. The warrior drops to 600 ATK.
Ryan isn't discouraged as he announces. ''I equip Maugis from my Graveyard to Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!''
Phoenix Gearfried gains the flames of the Infernoble Knight.
''Next I use Infernoble Arms – Durendal's effect!'' Ryan announces as his Equip Spell destroys itself as he explains. ''I can add a Level 5 or lower FIRE Warrior monster from my Deck to my hand then that card is destroyed.''
He adds his monster as he then declares. ''Plus I use Captain Roland's effect from my Graveyard, equipping it to Captain Oliver and giving him 500 ATK extra!''
The flames of Captain Roland surround Captain Oliver, increasing his ATK up to 3000.
''Battle!'' Ryan announces as Phoenix Gearfried leaps forward, surrounded in flames. ''Immortal Phoenix Gearfried, attack Curse Necrofear! God Phoenix Blade!''
He dashes at Curse Necrofear as Ryan then announces. ''At this time I use Gearfried's effect, absorbing a face-up monster and turning it into an Equip Spell to itself that gains 500ATK! Flame Soul!''
Phoenix Gearfried prepares to absorb Yami Bakura's monster but he still proclaims ''Dark Sanctuary's effect!''
A demonic coin flips and it lands on Tails. Ryan smiles hoping for that.
However, Yami Bakura smirks as he responds. ''None to worry. I banish Dark Spirit of the Terror from my Graveyard to activate its effect!''
This shocks Ryan, uttering out. ''A Trap Card?''
Yami Bakura chuckles, fully aware how dangerous that Immortal Phoenix Gearfried is so he has a move against it as he explains. ''I negate your monster's effects this turn, negate your current attack and I take no damage for the rest of this turn!''
Multiple dark spirits wrap and pull Phoenix Gearfried backwards, stopping its effect.
''Not only that but your highest ATK monster must attack me.'' Yami Bakura proclaims with a smirk. Frowning, Ryan declares his hesitant attack. ''… Captain Oliver, attack.''
His Infernoble Knight comes in and slashes Curse Necrofear. Dark Sanctuary triggers but it lands on Tails again, ensuring Ryan doesn't take damage again. His monster destroys the monster but Yami Bakura takes no damage with a smirk.
Kaiba snarls as now Yami Bakura can use Curse Necrofear's effect again at the End Phase.
Not given much of a choice, Ryan proceeds grabbing a card. ''I equip Phoenix Gearfried with Noble Arms of Destiny!''
Phoenix Gearfried gains a strong shield. Ryan knows this isn't enough but he has a means or two to stall out. Grabbing two cards, he announces setting them to his field. ''I set 2 cards face-down. My turn is over.''
Mew Erika frowns, concerned, hoping Ryan has a plan.
''Destiny Board's effect! I place Spirit Message A to the field!'' Yami Bakura announces as the table moves to A as he then announces. ''Now I activate Curse Necrofear's effect, Special Summoning itself back to the field!''
Curse Necrofear Lvl 8 ATK: 2800 DEF: 2200
Laughing excitedly, Yami Bakura uses his monster's effect. ''I control 5 Spell and Trap cards. Which means I destroy 5 cards!''
''Noble Arms of Destiny protects Immortal Phoenix Gearfried from card destruction.'' Ryan explains, ensuring his monster's protection.
''Then I'll target everything else! Pray-for-Death Wave!'' Yami Bakura declares as Curse Necrofear releases its powerful eye beam attack, striking through the opposing field. Ryan braces himself as he loses Captain Oliver, Artorigus, Noble Arms of Destiny and Ryan's set cards are all destroyed.
Panting heavily, Ryan then announces. ''Maugis when it leaves the field can shuffle 3 FIRE Warrior monsters and/or Noble Arms cards back to my Deck and then I can draw 1 card.''
He returns 3 of his cards back to his Deck to draw a card.
Now a new fireball manifests as all the fireballs are trying to take on the shape of a circle around the creepy smile in the sky.

Diabound materializes back to the field.
''Next Sentence of the Death lets me add 3 cards to my hand.'' Yami Bakura then announces, adding 2 of his banished Fiends back to his hand including another from his hand. He soon begins chuckling, declaring. ''KUKUKU! It's meaningless to beat me!''
Ryan stares worrying as his opponent then activates a card from his hand. ''I activate the spell, Life Countdown!''
A card materializes onto the field, showing the image of Crawling Dragon, Zenki and Class Clown succumbing to becoming zombies by the destroyed village of Final Countdown.
''By discarding a number of cards until I have 1 card in my hand, I skip that many turns but I must End my turn immediately.'' Yami Bakura explains his new spell's effect as he proceeds to discard 4 cards. ''I discard 4 cards. Which means I skip 4 turns!''
4 fireballs manifest as multiple turns skip and Final Countdown increases.

''Souls of the Damn's effect now skips two more turns.'' Yami Bakura then reveals having discarded it before. Now 2 more additional fireballs manifest too.

This shocks everyone with Jonouchi uttering out loud. ''N-No way…''
This also startles everyone that in Yami Bakura's next turn, he can simply end his turn and the duel ends in his victory through Final Countdown's effect. But he isn't done as he announces. ''I also use Sentence of Doom, placing Spirit Message T onto my field.''
His trap vanishes as Destiny Board moves to the T with only one more word missing.
"It seems the duel is now over.'' Yami Bakura frankly says as he taunts his opponent. ''Even if you stop Destiny Board, you have already lost.''
Ryan doesn't say a word as Yami Bakura smirks, confirming he is afraid.
''Turn end.'' He declares, more than confident of his victory. Even if he allows Yugi to duel him next, he will still win in his Dark Conquest.

Kaiba scoffs at this since whatever that fool Ryan does, ''Bakura'' wins. If he gets rid of Destiny Board, his opponent can end his next turn and win by Final Countdown. If he doesn't, Destiny Board completes the win.
"It doesn't matter what he can do.'' Yami Bakura tells himself, having Dark Spirit of Banishment in his hand as well as The Ghost Banshee of Horrific Dreams in his Graveyard. With these defenses, he has already won. ''I win.''
Yami Bakura can't help himself but laugh confidently, worrying almost everyone else… though…
''Oof, here I thought I break my leg.'' Yami Bakura soon stops laughing as he looks at Ryan, looking rather calm. He raises an eyebrow, questioning his logic. ''Break your leg?''
Ryan looks up at him and answers with a smile. ''Yea. Now I have everything I need to win this duel.''
"… What?'' Jonouchi immediately utters out, puzzled. Even Kaiba is left stunned by the declaration.
''What the hell are you talking about?'' Yami Bakura questions him rather irritated by his nonsense. Ryan just smiles as he responds. ''I intend to show you how true duelists win- no, how duelists with great friends can achieve!''
Mew Erika oddly smiles as Yugi nods, watching curiously what Ryan has to change the duel around. Reaching with his draw hand, Ryan shouts drawing his card. ''My turn! I draw!''
He draws and looks at his card, smiling. He proceeds by activating a card from his Graveyard. ''I banish Until Noble Arms are Needed Once Again from my Graveyard! I can now Special Summon a Noble Knight monster from my Deck.''
A bright portal manifests as Ryan searches through his Deck and summons his monster. ''Come out, Noble Knight Pellinore!''
Appearing out of the portal, while riding on a horse is a long, white blond haired male knight wearing a golden, black colored design heavy armor with a red cape and wielding a sword with his other hand.

''Next I summon Fusionist Phoenix Gearfried!'' Ryan continues as what appeared is a monster resembling Gearfried the Iron Knight but his colors are golden with black as he wears the Infernoble Knight cape.
Fusionist Phoenix Gearfried Lvl 4 ATK: 1800 DEF: 1600
Jonouchi groans, irritated that this guy is seriously stealing his thing with Gearfried monsters.
''Fusionist has the effect to perform a Fusion Summon.'' Ryan then reveals as his new Gearfried fires a burst of flames from his forearm blade, creating a Fusion Portal. ''I fuse itself, Pellinore and Immortal Phoenix Gearfried!''
All three knights leap up and merge within the portal.
''Knight of Bright Nobility, Knight of Fiery Soul and Hero of Divinity; merge your bonds and transcend into the radiant sun king who shines across the world!'' Ryan begins to chant as the portal shines and he calls forth. ''Fusion Summon!''
The fusion portal expands and becomes flames that shine like radiant sunlight. Everyone is forced to cover their eyes though most can see a figure within these flames.
''Shine, the radiantly king of justice! Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried!'' Ryan calls forth as the figure spins and seals the flames within his body, revealing his form. The new monster resembles Immortal Phoenix Gearfried with a more detailed knightly armor with some mix of Noble Knights and Infernoble Knights as well as his flames resembling phoenix-like cape wings. Even his forearm blade is more elegant, almost godly in design. And his flames still shine like sunlight.
Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried Lvl 11 ATK: 3500 DEF: 2800
Yugi and Mew Erika stare with amazement on their faces that Ryan is able to bring out a new Fusion, not tainted by the Dark Lord's darkness cards.
''A new Phoenix Gearfried monster!'' The tricolor head expresses astonishment as is everyone else. Yami Bakura growls madden as he says. ''It changes nothing-''
Immediately, Ryan protests, revealing his new monster's effect. ''Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried's effect depends on the number of monsters used for its Fusion Summon.''
Yami Bakura startles as Ryan first says. ''First Fusionist Phoenix Gearfried is treated as a Noble Knight. And that's a good thing too because Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried gains effects if it was Fusion Summoned using a Noble Knight, a FIRE Warrior and a Phoenix Gearfried monster!''
A card pops out from his deck as he explains. ''First I can equip any Equip Spell card from my Deck, Banished or Graveyard to him! Second, my monster cannot be targeted or leave the field by a card effect or Tributed.''
Kojan overhears that and scoffs to see another protect against his Kaijus.
''And lastly until the end of the next turn, my opponent cannot activate or use the effects of cards on their field or Graveyard but my opponent takes half damage!'' Ryan then reveals the final effect of his new Gearfried, shocking Yami Bakura heavily. ''WHAT?!''
''Also you cannot respond to his effect! Go! Radiant Soul!'' Ryan declares as Gearfried releases a powerful wave, hitting Yami Bakura's field. Dark Sanctuary vanishes by the light as Diabound can't escape from it either.
Yami Bakura growls, not believing this. Mew Erika smiles, relieved that Ryan turns the tables.
''First I equip Infernoble Arms – Hauteclere from my deck to Phoenix Gearfried!'' Ryan then declares as his new Phoenix Gearfried gains the equip spell.
Ryan, still smiling, announces as his Graveyard slot erupts in flames. ''I activate Captain Roland from my Graveyard, equipping itself to Phoenix Gearfried and giving him 500ATK boost!''
Phoenix Gearfried goes up to 4000 ATK. Ryan isn't done as he then plays another Equip Spell. ''I equip Phoenix Gearfried with the Equip Spell, Magnum Shield! Now my monster gains ATK equal to its original DEF.''
He gains a new shield as his ATK goes up to 6600 ATK.
''Plus Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried gains 500 ATK for each Equip Spell on him.'' Ryan then reveals the other effect of his new Gearfried as his ATK shoots up to 8100 ATK.
This terrifies Yami Bakura as he doesn't have the means to survive this.
''And that's why you can't hope to beat the fellowship I made with everyone! Battle! Radiant King Phoenix Gearfried, attack Curse Necrofear!'' Ryan commands as Phoenix Gearfried flies right towards Curse Necrofear but ascends, raising his fiery blade glowing like the sun and extending massively long.
''Radiant King Phoenix Blade!'' Ryan shouts as Phoenix Gearfried swings downward as the extended flaming blade cuts through Curse Necrofear like it's piercing through by light.
Even though the damage is halved, Bakura takes too much damage for him to survive, screaming in agony.
''T-THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!'' Yami Bakura screams as the attack cuts through him and his Life Points drop to 0.
Duel Screen: Winner... Ryan Quint: 2600LP vs. Yami Bakura: 0LP
The new Phoenix Gearfried and Diabound vanish from the field as Yami Bakura drops to his knees in defeat. Breathing calmly, Ryan lets out a sigh of relief that he hasn't taken more damage than he had to.
''Ryan!'' The white haired young man blinks, turning behind to see Mew Erika and she gives him a thumbs up. He smiles, giving her a thumbs up back.
Danny checks his phone and sighs of relief, expressing. ''20ish minutes to spare.''
''Told you guys.'' Yugi says with a small smirk. The others sigh, admitting he's not wrong.
''Bonds of Friendship huh?'' Haruto mutters to himself, smiling a bit as he says mentally. ''So this is Yugi's bonds, his hope.''
Kojan looks down silent at Yugi, scoffing.
''NO! NO!'' The group becomes alarmed, looking ahead to see Yami Bakura, still on his knees, and slams his hands onto the ground. He keeps slamming them over and over, so furious that he loses to a mere human after his perfect setup.
''Stop complaining!'' Sonic tells him off, smirking as Shadow nods. Alicia nods as she adds. ''You lost fair and square to Ryan.''
''And that means your stupid game is over!'' Ed then declares with Naruto nodding.
That pissed Yami Bakura heavily as his eyes glow red.
''I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS!'' He begins to protest, his body glowing vicious as his voice becomes louder. ''I WILL NOT ACCEPT THIS LOSS! I WILL NOT LOSE LIKE THIS!''
Yugi and Atem feel it and sweat of terror. Yami Bakura starts laughing rather demonically as dark energy wraps him rapidly, consuming him like a waterfall.
The group watches as the sky once more darkens but worse as they can all feel this massive torrent. Not just them but everyone in Domino feels it and nearly all in Tokyo- no, the whole world. This even gets Akumu's attention, chuckling, a bit impressed.
Yugi and everyone watching the darkness is now massive as a pair of red eyes shine through them.
''THIS GAME IS NOT OVER!'' A dark, demonic voice declares as the darkness dissolves and reveals a massive… thing before everyone unfamiliar. Mew Ichigo widens her eyes in panic as Haruto actually sweats. Even Manjoume breathes uncontrollably.
Before the group is a gigantic, purple-skinned demon with huge, curved horns, bat-like wings, and a large dragon/snake appendage between his legs. Jonouchi and Kaiba both have a face of absolute terror, fully aware what this thing is.
''Zorc… Necrophades.'' Yugi mutters out as he isn't expecting to see the Great Evil God… ever.
With a time of 5:46 remaining, can Team Dragon Knight handle this massive demon god of darkness before the Dark Conquest RPG ends in everyone's defeat?

Author's Note: Now it's Ryan's turn of redemption after being manipulated by the Dark Lord last volume. Now he was able to pay Yugi back and win, using his own strength.
I did give some love for the Final Countdown for Yami Bakura (HE WOULD RUN IT), it works for his stall tactics and shows his newest support cards from Legendary Duelists 6. But also, of course, the new cards Ryan used which were two but symbolizing his new strength in having comrades rather than be alone.
