Chapter Forty-nine: Twenty Minutes
Mai POV
"I had a strange dream, in my dream, I saw two people, one young woman and a man holding hands. As they hold hands a great fire passes through them almost consuming them. The fire was so bright that I had to flinch away from it. Then another man and woman appear behind them. They glance at each other, and all I can see is love within them. They simply enter the woman and man as the male tried to save the girl. He dies at the progress, his body disappeared."
I stop my reading, as my heart started to pound unevenly.
"This is us Naru, he was the one that was supposed to die... How? What change? This was no test. I am sure about that." I whispered as I hold tight onto the paper. My hands are shaking and felt tears prickling in the corner of my eyes.
"I was going to lose him." gulping my saliva, I lower my gaze to continue to read.
"Then, I smiled at the girl my Angel, as I will call her. She shared a bond most powerful, that I have ever seen. I see good fortune in her.
Happiness... If I ever get to meet her, I shall let her know, that her giving name is an Angel, that's how she looks in my eyes. An Angel with that light. Is she the key to stop this? Maybe, I need to investigate more, all I know, that there's a link between her and that man. They are one."I finished, I felt a soft, warm hand grasping my hand. I lifted my gaze, to see Naru looking at me, with understanding eyes.
"I miss Ayame.." I gasp out as Naru rubs his thumb across my knuckles.
Naru nods, turning his gaze toward the fire. I watch the fire reflect from his eyes; he's in deep thought.
"I know,"
"We need to figure out what happened to her daughter.." I whispered, folding the paper, and handing it over to him. He takes it, and reaches out towards his right, to place it inside of his bag.
"Maybe we will when we reach the mansion." He murmurs.
"We've been traveling for two days now," I stated while Naru straightens his back, stretching his arms in front of him.
"So?" he asks.
I thin out my lips and look up at the dark sky, as many stars shine above us. No moon today, though.
"Well, that is progress and I got a little stronger, since last week," I told him. Naru leans forward placing his forearms on top of his lap and turns his head to stare at me.
"I am glad, really am.." his voice is passive. I lower my head, to stare at him.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I stretch my arm to brush his bangs away from his eyes.
He shrugs, turning his gaze back towards the fire.
"Something is not right, I keep having this odd feeling since those creatures came to our house," Naru spoke, I glance down at my hands, wiggling my fingers.
"I know... It can be a trap." I whispered, Naru remains quiet for a few minutes, just watching me while I kept in my world. As I was about to say something, Naru suddenly stands up making me flop to the side almost falling to the ground but managed to steady myself. I blinked, a bit startled by his action.
"Hey, warn me when you're about to…" Naru bends down on his knees in front of me, as I fix myself.
"Naru?" I asked, confused at his sudden action. He stares at me, taking a hold of my hands. I glance down to stare at his eyes.
"Silly man, what are you doing? Does your head still hurts?" I asked a bit startled moving my hand to tuck a hair behind his ear.
"It just a bit sore, but nothing out of the ordinary," he assures me. Using the back of my knuckles I caress his cheek causing him to lean against my touch.
Poor Naru, he is sore from his back as well, he hasn't healed that well since a few days ago from the attack. At least they haven't come back, so Naru had some time to heal, but I do worry.
He moves and kisses my lips gently catching me off guard, but in doing so, the kiss seems weird.
I mean it's good, that it left me breathless, but it made me feel scared. As he departed, I touched my lips looking at him.
"Naru, you're scaring me." I gasped out while he moves back lowering his gaze towards my lap, I blushed, as he sits down on the ground facing his back towards me, and lays his head on my lap.
I move forward, pressing my palm on his forehead, to check if he has a fever or something. He opens his eyes, and stare at me.
"I have my reasons.." he admits. I trace my fingers through his bangs, as I gave him a soft expression.
"Reasons? That kiss felt odd, what's wrong?" I asked. He frowns, taking a breath and he takes a hold of my hand and lowers it to his mouth, and kisses my palm.
"Nothing is wrong; I felt like doing that."
"No... You have a reason behind it, everything you do randomly is either to mess with me or a very good reason. What?" I demanded him. Naru groans, covering his eyes with my palm.
"Do you need to pick nip everything I do?"
"Yes, It's my job, and I picked up on your habits a long time ago, way before we even got married, eleven years is a very long time," I told him.
He kept my hand covering his eyes while I use my free hand, to trace his jawline. I am fascinated by it. How strong and alluring it looks... Compare to me. I'm very small.
"We are closer to the house. Since this is the same road we took last time for the village.." he mumbles.
I move my hand, to trace his lips with my finger.
"Is that so, that doesn't answer my question." Naru lowers my hand down, to look up at me.
"There's nothing Mai." He tells me. I still didn't believe him.
"You still don't believe me, fine, don't." he disappears from my lap, my heart jump at that, as my eyes widen.
"Ne, Naru.. Don't get mad... I just wanted to know. I'm worried.." I called out, but no response. I frowned, rubbing my arms together.
"I wanted to talk more about the paper. It makes no sense, why she hid it. Is not like it has some secret." I whispered, now feeling more alone than ever.
"Naru, I wonder what is bothering you.." I whisper feeling so alone right now.
Staring at the fire, starting to find myself hypnotized by the dance.
I suddenly feel a hand on my shoulder, causing me to jump up.
"Ne, don't scare me," I called out, as I turned to give Naru a death glare, only to be surprised to see a young man. From what I can tell, brown dark hair, and glossy gray eyes. Didn't' look Japanese, though.
"Wh…Who are you?" I gasped out, moving away from him.
Okay, I'm freaking out, it's been so long since I have seen a human. He has to be a ghost.
The young man, collapses in his knees, holding in his chest, breathing hard.
"Help me!" he spoke English. My eyes widen, moving towards his side, as I touch his shoulder, I was amazed that it didn't faze through.
"Naru! Please come back to me." I yelled out, placing the young man down in his back.
I immediately gather around the supplies and boil some water. As I get on my knees, I place the wet rag on his forehead looking at the trees, to see if I can catch Naru.
"Naru, please, I'm sorry, please come back." I pleaded as the boy moans. He flutters his eyes open, and when I look down at him.
I felt a hand on my shoulder making me jump.
"Mai. I…" but Naru paused, when he tilts his head to the side, and arched a brow, to see the stranger.
"Naru, finally, this guy, appeared from nowhere... Help.." I glance up, with a pleading look. I was surprised to look at his eyes. They turned cold… I shivered, as the stranger grasp my hand causing me to look back at the stranger with a startled look.
"I'm okay... I need help.." he spoke once again in English, sounds British, like Naru. He sits up, grasping his head. I touch his shoulder gently.
"Can you tell me your name?" I asked him. The boy snaps his head up, then his gray eyes widen.
"It's William," he says, while his eye connects with mine, a slight blush passes his cheeks. I frowned.
"He doesn't know Japanese," I whispered, William kept his eyes on me and I didn't like it.
I stood, as Naru bends to eye the boy.
"Why are you here? What help do you need?" Naru asks, I shivered at his deep voice, of how it's different from his Japanese, is more manly and deeper, sexier.
"I hurt my leg, coming down the hill... I live up north... I was hiking a little, but something caught me off guard, and I tumble down." he explains. His gaze turns towards me making me feel uncomfortable.
Something is not right. He doesn't look dead at all, and we've been here for seven years now, how come we never heard anyone living on this island nor Ayame told us?
Naru helps the guy up.
"I'll be internally grateful if you can help me go back to my house, it's up the hill, about ten minutes of hike," he asks.
Naru turns his gaze at me, I nodded, noting he wanted my permission to move on or not.
Naru started to move William forward, only to notice, that he waves his free arm behind his back, and our bag transport in his back, with our stuff inside already. I smirked, as I wave my hand, to turn off the fire.
Okay, that was so cool.
Naru holds the guy by his waist, as he limps, I move closer to Naru, not sure why, but that man gives me the bad vibes.
"Silly me, I forgot to ask. What are your names?" William asks us.
I cleared my throat before Naru can speak.
"My name is Alice, and this is my brother Sasuke." I lied since I don't trust this new character. Naru turns to face me with an arched brow but nods in agreement.
"Alice, Sasuke... I have never seen you two before. I will never think that he would be your brother. You two don't look alike.." before I speak, Naru spoke in a natural thick voice.
"She's adopted." I was about to say something else, but Naru's smart thinking overthrew my own. The boy chuckles, while we started to hike up a small hill. I absorb my surroundings, not remembering this part of the road the first time around.
Something is not right.. Mai, keep your eyes sharp.
The young man stops for a breather, looking up at me. I took a step back.
I do admit, he has gorgeous rounded eyes... Then again, Naru's eyes are much better, and deeper.
I thought, comparing the two,.. I have forgotten how to interact with other males. Aish, being stuck on an island for so long, is not good for my social skills.
"Alice, is a pretty name, for such a beautiful girl.." he tells me.. Naru eyes narrow, as I bit my lower lip, clearing my throat.
"Err, thanks, I'm just average looking." okay, not what I was hoping "
"Trust me, you're more than average-looking, very beautiful lady you are." I can feel the heated death glare Naru was giving to the man as I move behind him and grab his hand. Naru turns and I shook my head as I mouthed to him in Japanese.
"Don't do anything, my love, please, but be alerted." he nods, as I felt his fingers brush against mine.
Continuing, each step seems to take forever, since we had to move gradually.
"I am twenty... I live with my sister Poppy, our father died a week ago. I am glad, to find another female, she needs a companion.." he explains.
Does he think we'll be living here? I don't mind befriending his sister, but I'm not living here nor Naru.
I rubbed my hands, as we finally reach a small dirt road. From what I can see, a large mansion stood near a cliff, it has a gothic fill in it.
Mansion? Is this the place Gene was saying?
"Well, aren't we living in a fairy tale gothic book," I whispered, as Naru smirks at me, at my little taunt. He turns his gaze at William.
"You speak Japanese as well, a girl with many talents. It's rare to find an educated woman out here. I'm impressed, not only beautiful but smart.." William winks at me, while I gave him a strange look.
Is he trying to flirt with me?
I didn't like it at all. Naru turns his gaze at me, noticing how cold his eyes are.
"Is that your house?" Naru interrupted, noticing how tight his voice is. William lifts his gaze and nods.
"Yes, if it wasn't for you two, I would be stuck in the forest for so long. Come, I have enough room to stay the night, as well homemade food." He offers us. I look at Naru as he looks at me to see if we are okay with this.
If this is the place that Gene told us to go, what other choice do we have?
I nodded at my husband.
"Thanks, it's getting late, so we need a place to crash," Naru said causing William to brighten up.
I turned my head, as an eerie feeling passes by me.
Something is up, this is not a good feeling at all. Naru please be careful with this situation.
I turned my gaze at Naru, as he opens the brown door for William as we reached the mansion.
Naru moves his head, and our eyes lock and his blue eyes are deep and cold, as I gave him a soft and assured look.
Please let's be careful, this is eerie as it is.
Naru pov
I don't know why, but something in William feels off, is he alive or dead, is yet to know, but I have every inch of me alerted, he has eyes for my wife and that is a big no.
"Then I'll let you two stay here, I'll be right back, please be at ease. My home is your home." William told us causing us to nod.
I stare at Mai as we stood on the bottom of the stairs, I watch as William stares at my wife with a lustful look. I fist my hand trying hard to not punch him.
Mai nods, as he moves upstairs, with no limp whatsoever.
(Lying bastard, just like I thought when I held him, sometimes he would swift his weight a bit, not something someone injured would do.) I stood next to the railing, cross arms, bangs covering my eyes, as Mai comes up to me.
"A passionate young fellow don't you think?" I asked Mai. Mai arched a brow at my sudden words.
"To passionate for my liking. I don't like it, something is wrong.." Mai immediately tells me. I turned to head towards the large tinted window, that has drawings of a weeping lady.
"I can feel it as well," I mentioned while I study the design. Mai rubs her arms, looking back at the stairs.
"What did he say? When we entered the main lobby." Mai asks me.
"Ah, that we can pick whatever room we like to sleep in, up on the second floor," I told her. Mai rubs her arms. I wrap my arm around her shoulders after I made sure that that man wasn't spying on us. Mai gave me a thankful look while rubbing my arm.
"How come we have never seen this. This looks like those horror flicks, Next to a cliff? Don't tell me, that something big happened in the past with that cliff? Or he's a mad murderer?" she moans in disappear, turning her gaze towards me.
"Maybe he's a murder. Alac and Isac covered it or the lady herself." I suggested, which makes perfectly good sense. Mai was about to say, but William's voice cut her off causing me and Mai to separate rapidly, and straightening up so he won't catch us. I turned to see him coming down the stairs.
"My sister, she won't admit to seeing you today. Tomorrow is more pleasurable. Now.. I'll have one of the maids to cook for both siblings, while I go and take a bath. You may change as well, there's are some clothes upstairs if you want to use it as well a bathtub, which will be ready. Anything for my saviors." He glees.
Then his eyes landed on Mai. That spark passes on his eyes as he stares at her, and once again I fist my hand.
Hold it in, don't punch him, he wants something from her and it's not courting her. I hope it's not what I thinking of.
William bows.
"As for my lady."
Buddy, you're pushing it. I felt my chest tightening with an ugly feeling for this man.
"Excuse me? M...My...Lady?" Mai stumbles nervously in disbelieve as I arched a brow making William smirk.
He has a death wish.
"Feel free to wear something very pretty for this evening event." He whispers as he turns around, heading down the hallways. I turned, placing my hands inside of my pockets, going up the stairs. Mai moves and grasps my arm.
"What do we do? Is he a ghost? I don't know what's going on." She seems a little lost and nervous. I glance up the stairs and turned to face Mai.
"We play along, It's good that you lied about us. What I have learned, to never trust anyone on this island. He didn't know us or about him being a spirit, I'm not sure just yet, since he felt warm. Let's see where this plays out." I whispered to her.
Mai didn't seem convinced, but nods.
"My lady, I'll go and find a room for the both of us." I teased her causing Mai to shrug my arm but then thought it over as I chuckle, grabbing her hand and kiss it gently.
"Oi, wait, that sounds sweet from you, but not from him. That was awkward. I take back the shrug, sorry," Mai said as we went up the stairs, reaching the classic long red carpet fill with the side doors hallway.
"So choose whichever room?" She asks me. I shrug at her and began to go to each door. The first four doors were locked.
Mai moves and grasps the firth doorknob of her right, and turns to face me.
"It's open," she said. I nodded as she took a step to the side and I entered to inspect the large room, with one bed at the side of the room and a large old fashion tub in the middle of the room, and a wardrobe. After searching and making sure it's safe for my wife, I returned to see her looking at me waiting for my answer.
"I don't see anything wrong or feel it abnormal, it's fine," I assured her. She smiles at me.
"Thanks my love," she whispers so no one can hear us. I nodded as I leaned down and kiss her cheek. She blushes as I whispered into her ear.
''I'll see you in a few, my little worm" Mai looks at me as I wink at her, she blushes even more and nods and I watch her enter the room, slowly waving at me as I rose a brow up, but couldn't help but to smirk at her.
Okay role-playing, feels strange, but not bad.
I turned, towards my right, and across her room, I found an open door, so I entered and close the door behind me.
Glancing around, the room which consists of one well-made bed, and a wardrobe facing the bed, similar to Mai's room.
I move towards the small window and glance out. From what I can see it looks like a thick fog surrounding the mansion. I fist the red curtain, as my eyes landed on a dark figure, that seems to stare back at me, in the forefront of the fog.
"Well, that didn't take long, stay out there,"
This is the place where Gene wants us to be. What purpose though? William, what is your goal? Who is that dark figure?
I stretched my back as I glance at the door and smirked.
"I think is long enough."
Without a doubt, I reach her room, I'm glad about this power, that I don't have to sneak around.
"There's something in the…." I stopped as Mai turns around, with wide eyes, she's naked placing her milky leg inside of the tub.
I arched a brow.
"Eii! Ne, Naru, I thought you were that guy." she breathed out rubbing her chest.
I suddenly felt like I was intruding, making my cheeks warm up.
"Err, so taking a bath is a good idea with that man out there?" I asked, moving around her, and hunched down to touch the marble tub. It's filled with water which steam comes out of it.
Mai warmed it up because it wasn't warm like this.
Mai shrugs, moving to touch it as well.
"There was water inside, so I was about to take a bath, can I?" she asks my permission.
I frowned, as I walked up to the door and made sure the door is locked.
"Looks okay, strange, how did he set this up so fast?" I murmured, while Mai gets in the tub hearing the water move.
"Don't know, but, this is heaven, I love the waterfall, but this... This is pure heaven to me.. Warm bath..." she chimes, running her hands through her arms and legs washing gently.
I couldn't help but soak her in as I walk up to the tub.
Was she like this back home? She looks like a kid. This is weird I never thought to watch her do this. I have forgotten how it feels to be in a regular house.
"Come, join me." She offers while running her fingers through her chest. I sat on the ground placing my arms on the edge of the tub, staring at her.
"I rather watch you bathe," I told her honestly.
She blushes at my comment as she moves forward, running her wet fingers through my hair.
"I rather have you join me. To tell you the truth, I saw a scene of a romance movie once, long ago where the husband joined his wife in one of these bathtubs. It looks cute. I wanted to do that with the guy I love. Since I'm stuck with you, I have no other choice." she smiles timidly.
"You sure?" I asked her.
"Yes, plus you have powers if anything you can zap us out, can't you?" she asks me. I nodded as I began to remove my shirt and pants, dropping them on the floor near hers. She moves forward and I get inside and she snuggles up to me as I leaned back.
"Is that better?" I asked her, as I move her wet hair to the side of her shoulder. She nods and turns to look at me.
"Perfect, plus, I feel a bit scared," she admits, as she began to pour water on my chest. I frowned not liking this.
"I understand," I admit to her as I began to wash her, as it became a habit for us to wash each other.
"So, you saw that fog?" she whispers looking at me as I have my right arm press against her breasts to cover them, this time with more confidence.
I nodded, glancing at the door.
"Someone was looking at me within the fog," I told her. I felt her wet hand covered mine.
"Seriously? Great, we have a creepy fog and creepy stalking to boot. Then why did William fake his limp?"
"It's obvious Mai, to lure us in. Don't get near him or stay alone with him I don't trust him at all." Mai nods at me.
"I know, he gives me the creeps, but at least let us enjoy this for a bit," she said. I nodded as I try my best to let her have some normality. Yet, I couldn't help but watch her, again getting lost.
As we wash, Mai continued to look at me, noticing that something seems off, her eyes seem strange, which made my heart beat like crazy.
"Mai? Are you alright?" I asked her as I move my wet hand and brush my finger against her nose. She wiggles her nose and nods gently tipping over and kisses my cheek.
"I'm treasuring this moment of life. Your eyes, when you watch me, it's more than a just desire for me. When I see your eyes, I can see more. Thank you, for always treasuring me, and respecting me no matter what or how I look." She moves her hand and softly touches my cheek while her eyes tear up.
It's because all I can see Mai, not an object be lusting about, but simply a loving girl that is willing to give up her life for anyone. Like last time I don't see the desire in her eyes when she looks at me... I see love... Pure love, that makes me want to never let her go, and I'm a lucky bastard... How can I keep up with that?
I breathed out arching my head down and capture her wet lips.
Breathing hard, I encircle my hand around her bare waist, deepen the kiss. She clenches into my bare shoulders, as we began to get lost in each other. As though time has gone still.
"Alice, dinner will be ready in twenty minutes." Our heated passion and desire are interrupted by some whatever he is casanova... I groan quietly, as Mai kept kissing my lips.
"Okay.. I'll be ready by then," she yells, as we separated and waited for him to move away. Then I stood up getting out of the tub and turned to grab my things and put on my pants.
"N... Naru," I breathlessly heard my name, I turned to see Mai standing up with her arms stretched out for me. I went up to her wrapping my arm around her waist, but she surprises me and places her hot lips on mine making my eyes grow big. I move away from her and breathed out.
"Since when are you buddy with him?" I growled as I picked her up in my arms, not caring that she wet my pants, but was careful to not harm her. She wraps her arms around me and continued to kiss me deeply.
"Since… Since I said you're my brother. I…" Mai gasps out, as I lay her down on the bed, I hover above her and departed from our heated kiss. Breathing hard, our eyes connect, her eyes are full of desire.
She's so beautiful and I almost lost her. My heart clenched as this deep ache pierced through me as the memory of last week, that she died came back to me.
"There are creatures outside of this house... You need to prepare," I whispered, lowering myself and capture her neck. She moves her head to give me access as she presses her naked body against mine, and couldn't help but run my tongue down her neck causing her to gasp. She tasted good. I began to feel her shake under me.
At this point all I can hear is my heart pounding hard against my chest, as this woman under me drove me crazy, aching for more. I just knew I couldn't get enough of her. Oddly enough, she's like a fine tea, but much, so much better.
"Ahh, okay... We need to get ready, or he'll suspect something." We randomly switch our conversation, since it was hard to concentrate on the main topic.
As Mai places it, treasuring each other.
"You're my wife, I don't have to sneak around, and… Oh, right.." I forgot as I felt Mai roam her hands down my chest up towards my shoulders, touching my bare skin. My breathing hitched as she arched her body forward.
"I couldn't even take a bath right...You're so mean." She teased, nipping on my ear. I moaned, as I place my knee between her legs and grasp her right leg pressing it against me.
My eyes roam her body, her curves, her skin, as I ached with desire, but another part wants to treasure her. Even her scar... Mai becomes embarrassed, as she covers her breasts and tries to close her legs, but couldn't since I was in between.
It's been some time, I want to make love to her, but I can't, not just yet, we need to be on alert, but she's so beautiful, soft, and warm, she's making me lose all reason.
"Don't hide from me, you're so beautiful," I said out loud, without realizing it.
Mai's eyes widen at my words. I leaned down, and kiss her stomach gently and her scar. I felt her free hand run through my hair as her body continue to shake under my kisses and caresses, not helping run my fingers through her hot skin.
"Naru.." she whimpers my name in a deeply loving way.
I move and grasp her hand and gave a small kiss in her palm.
I need to stop, I need to stop because we are in enemy territory. Later, Oliver, we can do this when we are safe.
"Get dressed," I said in a hoarse voice kissing her lips deeply, leaving her breathless as well as I. She nipped my bottom lip driving me crazier as I felt every inch of her soft warm bare body press against me once again.
She breathes hard, forcing me to move aside and sat on the edge of the bed, running my fingers through my hair, trying to calm myself down.
"Okay…. You owe me a bath time, a real one without interruptions." She says breathlessly,
"I promise," I simply told her as she moves forward and takes notice of my pants that are soaked.
"Sorry... I forgot.." she said, feeling her kiss my shoulder.
"It's fine, I didn't even notice." She kisses my cheek and stood up.
"If you say so, well, I'm dried now.." she mentions while moving towards the old wardrobe. Noticing that is filled with old fashion similar Victorian age dresses.
"Oh, they are so pretty." Mai's eyes light up while I watch her run her fingers through the fabric.
"Want me to buy you some dresses, when we return?" I asked her as I walked up behind her noticing how fascinated she looks with them. Mai turns towards me to gasp since I was right behind her. She looks up at me and licks her lips.
"No... I am fine... I just like to see them... Not own them, don't worry.." she smiles brightly at me.
"Aren't you going to dress?" she asks me as I began to run my knuckle behind her bear back. She jumps causing me to smirk.
"No, I'll dry off, if he asks, I just say I fell inside the water and didn't have time to get dressed," I told her as I leaned down to kiss her shoulder, wanting to continue to touch her. Mai giggles, as she turns her head to kiss my lips.
"Right like he'll believe that, so which dress should I get, they all so pretty," she asks my opinion. I leaned forward, pressing my bare chest against her back causing her to lean forward and her breath to catch as I trapped her.
Oh, I can feel her tremble under me. I couldn't help but smile at her.
"Hmm, the yellow one," I picked out the fifth dress on the right and handed it over to her. She takes it and takes out the hanger, placing it back. After she gets dress, she moves her long hair to the side.
I grabbed the zipper and slowly zipped it up, feeling Mai shivering a bit.
"You should wear some underwear.." I whispered to her. Mai's eyes widen, turning to face me.
"Oi, I forgot... I'm so used to not wearing them anymore," she admits, as I leaned down, kissing her cheek causing her to giggle, then I began to caress her cheek with my nose.
I need to stop, but I can't.
"I know, but please do so... I don't want any other man accidentally seeing your privates, those are mine to see and touch not theirs, plus, I don't want you to feel ashamed or harassed, I know how much you value yourself Mai." I admit, not wanting anything bad happening to her.
Mai closes her eyes, leaning into my touch.
"Don't say a thing like that, but alright... You are right though, just the thought of that makes me feel disgusted. Is only yours alone, as you are mine." she admits.
"Of course, you're the only one that can see and touch me," I assured her.
I felt at ease to hear that, I open my eyes to see her look at me with a longing look, which looks a bit painful. I licked my lips.
"Naru, we will never leave if you continue to seduce me okay, let's be good boy and girl." she pleads as she pats my shoulders. I suddenly smirk, as I inched closer to her to kiss her lips, watching her anticipate it, but I stop mid-way. Her breath caught as I couldn't help but look at her lips aching to claim them again.
I wave my hand to bring our bag in my hands. I grabbed her hand and handed it over to her. She opens her eyes and looks so disappointed that I didn't kiss her. She scrunches her face at me.
"Remember stay away from him as much as possible," I told her. She nods at me, as she takes out her underwear from the bag.
"Of course, but I don't like the way he's staring at me. It's different from when you look at me..." she admits watching her place her underwear on.
I cross my arms, feeling my chest tighten at her words.
She even took notice, damn bastard.
I dig my nails inside of my skin.
"I know." My voice thicks out.
"I knew you noticed... It's like he is ready to eat me.. Eww." She shivered in disgust.
Clearing her throat, she turns around and straightens her dress out, moving her long hair in the front and fixes her bangs. I stare with wide eyes, as her dress fits her, curves around her perfectly with a yellow that matches her skin. The best part, it shows no cleavage, which I like, and the bottom reaches to her ankles. I cleared my throat, looking at the door.
"So, how do I look?" she spins around.
"Decent," I told her causing her to come up to me and kiss my cheek.
"Great, I don't want to give too much away," she admits to me as I blushed, looking away.
Very breathtaking, what's wrong with me today? I'm just enchanted by her.
I ached to tell her.
"Good, you have good taste. Now, what is the plan?" She asks me.
I smirked, grasping her hand, hold it tightly in my hand.
"Easy... I'm going to see his real attention by provoking him. So let me do all the talking, and whatever I say, don't be offended. I don't mean it by heart, is all my big brother role." I warned her as she gives me a questioning look.
I smiled gently at her. So I sat right back down on the bed, looking at the wooden floor.
"Alright, big brother," Mai playfully said as she sits on my lap, wrapping her arms around me. I look up at her, as I wrap my arm around her waist.
"I doubt there's a sister in here, if this is the place Gene told you to go, then there's something wrong. There shouldn't be any humans on this island, besides us. We made that clear years ago." I whispered. Mai leans her head on my shoulder.
"I don't have a good feeling, but I trust you. What just happened a few minutes ago. I was being real. I wanted to bathe with you, in a normal tub. I wanted to be in your arms and that's all.." she whispers, as she kisses my cheek, down to my neck. I took a deep breath, trying hard to not be seduce1d by her touches, as I'm already am highly sensitive and aching to have her. I can't stop touching her.
I shouldn't have gotten in that bathtub.
I rapidly kiss her lips surprising her. She blinks as I look straight at her eyes.
"Remember, play along and follow. Please be careful and call me if anything happens. I'll be on high alert, twenty minutes is about to be over." I told her. She nods, reaching back to kiss me, but I back out, if not I will never leave.
"Then... See you downstairs, take care." I told her while kissing her cheek and I disappear before anything else happens, making Mai fall back on the bed, but I did hear her complain.
"Not again, Naru... Stop doing that!"
I smirked, as I reached the other bedroom that I picked, and ran my hand through my face, feeling my cheeks hotter than anything.
She has me acting like a schoolboy, what's wrong with me? I cant' seem to stop touching or wanting her.
Pushing my desire away, I took another peek outside the window, this time no one was around, and the fog somewhat lifted, but not enough. I rub my neck.

I went up to the door to pop it open, in doing so I could hear footsteps. I took a peek to see William knocking on Mai's room. I fist my hand, trying to stop myself from going up to him and shrug him since I don't want to give away our positions.
I watch as Mai opens the door and he looks at her from head to toe causing my heart to tighten. Mai looks very uncomfortable.
I swear William, dead or not, if you lay one hand on my wife, I will handle you myself.

Deleted Scene: The third year in Black Lagoon
"I... no... Naru, I can't do this," Mai complains as she frustrated rolls back on her bed. I pinched the bridge of my nose trying to control myself.
"It's easy Mai. I love my husband," I said to her. Mai sent me a death glare.
"It's easy for you, you grew up in England where English is spoken, I haven't."
"I had to learn as well, I didn't automatically know English Mai. Hmm, okay let's do this, each word you say, I'll give you a reward whatever you want." I suggested her. She bounces up and looks at me.
"Really?"
"Would I lie?" I asked her. She crosses her arms and gave me a questionable look.
"Knowing you, you'll play a trick on me, fine, so each word I get right, you'll give me a reward?" I nodded at her as I extend my hand for her. Mai takes it and I pulled her up to my chest. She blushes as I wrap my arm around her small waist.
"Yes, I promise," I told her. Mai cheers up and nods.
"I...Lo..ve... my...hu..s... ban...d." she cracks a lot of the words, but overall she did a good job. I couldn't help but smile.
"Did I did it right?" she asks me. I pucker my lips and nodded.
"Yes, you did,"
"Great," she bounces, but then stops and looks back at me.
"What does it mean?" she asks me.
"I love my husband? Means I love pizza," I lied the last part. She squints her eyes.
"Why it doesn't compute in my head, it doesn't fit." I shrug at her statement.
"Because is in another language, so what do you want?" I asked her. She suddenly smirks at me.
"Kisses,"
"Kisses?" I was taken aback as she nods.
"So, every word I get right you'll kiss me, but you have to choose where to kiss me, so surprise me," she said clapping happily. I shrug at her.
"Alright," I didn't mind this as she smiles at me.
"Okay," she cracks her neck and rolls her shoulders as though she was getting ready to run or something.
"I love... my... husband..." she said looking at me seriously. I actually rose both of my brows amazed by this.
"You got it." I praised. She jumps in pure happiness.
"Yes, yes, for your kisses, I'll run through fire," she said causing me to roll my eyes at her.
"Don't exaggerate it," I told her. She points at her forehead.
"I'm not, it's hard to get kisses from you, so now surprise me." she closes her eyes as pulled her into my embrace, she looks so nervous and excited by this.
"Mai," I called out causing her to look at me.
"Yes?"
"Can you repeat it?" I asked her. She nods and clears her throat.
"I...love...my...husband..." she said with confidence in English. I felt my heart warm up at her words as I leaned down and press my lips on her forehead very gently, and gave her a kiss.
If you knew how much those words mean to me, Mai because I know, you mean each word even though you have no idea what it means. I'm so proud of you for learning more and more English in the last three years. Soon you'll be an expert.
"As I Mai, I love you, my precious wife," I told her in English. She opens her eyes and looks at me.
"What did you say?" she asks me. I look down and press my lips on hers, giving her a chaste kiss, and shook my head.
"I said, as I Mai, I love my precious tea," I lied again causing her rolls her eyes at me.
"When we get back, I make sure you get all the teas of this world," she assures me, patting my head.
Maybe you'll remember this in the future and get what I told you today. I hope so.
Mai began to shift back and forth, running the fingertips up my arm seductively.
"Now Naru, continue to kiss me, you can't hold back your promise, leaving your poor wife wanting." she batters her eyes as I couldn't help but chuckle at her innocent flirting. I leaned down, ready to kiss her as I whispered to her.
That is a reward that I would always love to comply with.
