Hello to all! This is Episode 53 of the new arc: The Pursuit!
P.S. I do not own them all or any of them except this crossover story, so I wrote the band's or artist's name that wrote that song which I do not own again.
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight!

Volume 5: Episode 53: The Crossing Paths!
In the previous episode of DKR:
Yugi managed to survived Evangeline's assaulted, entering Burst Limit, to change the fight around… however that couldn't be less than the truth as Evangeline's magic is much stronger and her immortality can outlast any amount of power Yugi can throw at her especially since he's already been partly drained from all the fights he's been in already.
Evangeline unleashed her dangerous ice spells, freezing Yugi into place. Mew Ichigo tried to fight her but also got easily overpowered. Evangeline prepared to end the Dragon Knight until Haruto appeared, having had his Familiar follow Yugi in case the enemy tried another surprise attack. Engaging this vampire mage, Haruto/Wizard clashed against her Ice vs Fire. Even though he managed to push her, Evangeline unleashed Water Magic to overpowered Flame Dragon until Wizard changed into Water Dragon Style.
The two clashed and Wizard managed to deliver a powerful blow upon Evangeline, surpassing her seemingly End of the World spell. However, Evangeline's immortality and regeneration made it impossible for Wizard to truly win. Not beaten yet, Wizard prepared to go all out until Kojan appeared, having seen enough and doesn't want anyone unfortunate to come here and die by mistake. After taunting the dangerous vampire mage, Kojan placed her on a Genjutsu, making her think that the sunrise had arrived. Panicked and not given a choice, Evangeline retreated.
Kojan then mocked Yugi that he could never hope to beat her unlike himself and walked away, leaving Yugi defeated. It would only get worse as the three take Ichigo home instead and Ichigo got bad news from her parents who arrived safe but her father got a call from the school director of Tokyo that due to Ichigo changing schools because of her father; she must return to Tokyo.
This left Ichigo in dread, defeated too. Will things get better or worse?
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... weeks ago before the beginning of the Volume:
It's been a few weeks since he left Tokyo that Sasuke Uchiha regrouped with his team to resume their hunt for Itachi Uchiha. It is a slow hunt with no leads from Karin's connections or the animals informing Jugo of Itachi's location.
Drinking his water sports bottle bored out of his mind, Suigetsu looks at his leader who seems to be staring at the unknown distances, almost fixated. Under Sasuke's orders, they haven't exactly gone back to the 5 Ninja Nations yet. No doubt Sasuke is waiting for that black dragon to keep the end of his deal and give him the exact location where Itachi is.
Suigetsu is puzzled by Sasuke's decision to trust that guy. He looks no different to someone like Orochimaru… just probably more willingly to eat anyone. So why does Sasuke care?
"You know…'' Suigetsu begins to speak up to his leader, stopping the long silence the team had all day. ''How long do we need to wait till that evil black dragon ''helps'' us?''
Sasuke doesn't answer him, still looking ahead. Jugo doesn't say a word either but Karin can't help but agree with Suigetsu.
''I hate to agree with Suigetsu.'' She begins to admit, shivering at the thought she's agreeing with him as she advises Sasuke. ''But he's not wrong. Even Orochimaru-''
''Orochimaru backstabs anyone to get what he wants. The Dark Lord hasn't shown such a trait…'' Breaking his own silence, Sasuke protests the two's objections… though he'll keep an open mind in case the dragon attempts a betrayal of sorts. ''Yet.''
Sasuke eyes Jugo and questions him about his thoughts. ''What of you, Jugo?''
Jugo is petting the birds and squirrels on him as he admits to him. ''I'll follow whatever you wish to do, Sasuke.''
Suigetsu and Karin sweat drop sighing, both not surprised.
''It's possible that dragon wants you.'' Suigetsu theorizes with his arms crossed. ''Maybe he wants your body?''
Karin growls annoyed, not going to allow that lizard from taking her Sasuke.
''No…'' Sasuke protests on that part though he's certain there is more to it. ''It's something else.''
Sasuke can tell the so-called Dark Lord wants him to achieve his revenge. Maybe he wants him to get rid of the Dragon Knight. If so, he wouldn't be interested. The only man he will kill is Itachi, everyone else he wouldn't care in the least.
Standing up from the log he was sitting on, Sasuke orders his team firmly. ''Set up camp, I need to think.''
''Sure-sure…'' Suigetsu responds carefree. Sasuke doesn't say much as he walks away. Just the three of them, Suigetsu says, sipping on his drink. ''Guess he's sure that dragon will keep the end of his deal.''
Karin also agrees with him. It concerns her so much.
Walking alone, Sasuke looks at the forest in front of him.
It looked much like he and Itachi went hunting for deer or bears. It was honestly a good time, recalling what he told him. ''Nii-san! Let's hunt some more!''
Itachi then poked Sasuke's forehead and apologized to him with a soft smile. ''Sorry, Sasuke. Another time.''
Sasuke frowned as the two would walk back home and there he asked his older brother. ''Nii-san, how come animals hunt others?''
Itachi paused for a moment, not saying a thing before he answered him. ''Mainly to survive and grow. That is life in a way.''
''Like humans, like us right?'' Sasuke then asked. Itachi simply smiled, nodding. Sasuke smiled back happily… until the world warp into the horror of the night Itachi showed his real colors and-
Sasuke snaps out of his trance and slams his hand across one side of his face, his eyes glaring with such hate towards that man and his lies.
''Just one of your illusions, Itachi.'' He tells himself, not going to stop till he kills him. Sasuke prepares to go back to his team until he hears strange barking. ''DOUR!''
This catches Sasuke's attention as he walks towards the cries. He moves fast and comes across some kind of battle. A sinister young man and 4 of his strange creatures are attacking a short, black fur canine-like dog creature with a red underbelly and muzzle. Its ears and tail are both short and pointed. Two fangs protrude from its upper jaw, and its triangular nose is black. There are white bands on its ankles and rib-like ridges on its back. The dog creature appears to have a simplistic, stylized skull on its forehead with the eye orbits creating eyebrow patterning above its actual eyes. It also has circular, red paw pads on each of its three-toed paws.
This is a Houndour, a Pokémon as the other creatures are also Pokémon, all owned by the trainer who is grinning cruelty.
''Dour!'' The strange dog creature howls at the group of mons surrounding it, trembling out of fear. It tries to breathe Ember but gets swiped by a Blastoise. Then a Heliolisk releases a Thunderbolt that shocks the dog mon. Then a Gigalith uses Rock Blast, hitting the dog harder.
The male trainer starts laughing evilly as he mocks the poor mon. ''Man, you're even weaker! You haven't taken not one of them!''
The Houndour growls weakly, its legs wobbly. The trainer smirks as he says. ''I might as well stuff you away in some hole.''
This causes the dog-like mon to tremble of fear, not wanting to be sealed away.
''First thing first…'' The trainer begins to say as he orders his other mon to do the finishing blow. ''Machamp, knock the pup with Karate Chop!''
The four-armed humanoid monster comes at the Houndour with a look of fear, powerless to do anything. Machamp raises and swings down at the dark dog… until a rather human size white snake wraps around the four-armed mon. It panics to everyone's surprise.
''What the? What kind of Snake Pokémon is that?'' The trainer utters out, not recognizing it. The snake coils off the Machamp as a voice asks. ''Why are you attacking the dog?''
The trainer staggers, turning around in a jump to see Sasuke behind him, gazing calmly towards him.
''W-when did you-'' He begins to demand, really surprised, but Sasuke tells him off firmly. ''I won't ask again.''
The trainer looks at this weird and scoffs as he answers him. ''Look guy, I'm training up my Pokémon and that Houndour is damn weak that I'll probably toss him into a river.''
Sasuke just looks at him with such disgust. The trainer turns to Houndour, pulling out the Pokémon and shouts. ''Now return!''
The ball fires a beam that connects to Houndour and it is absorbed inside the ball. The trainer begins to put the ball away, securing it into his belt and says. ''If you excuse-''
''What is this?'' Sasuke's voice says. The trainer blinks, turning and immediately widens his eyes as Sasuke is holding Houndour's ball. This shocks him, causing him to shout nervously. ''H-HOW DID YOU SNATCH MY BALL!''
Sasuke ignores him, studying the ball in his hand. It feels strange but it must have some kind of protection for the creature within.
''Give it back!'' The trainer, irritated, demands as he comes jumping at him. He hits the ground as Sasuke has dodged him instantly. Sasuke looks at him and then tosses the ball down, summoning Houndour back as the dog mon blinks in confusion before eyeing the black haired stranger.
Sasuke gazes coldly towards the trainer and reminds him so much of Orochimaru and his pursuit for power even at the cost of innocent lives. Pathetic best describes him.
''No. You don't deserve him.'' Sasuke tells him off. This pisses the trainer off, standing back up.
''You damn…'' He begins to mutter out, already pissed at him as he orders his other mons. ''Get him!''
The other Pokémon come charging at the Uchiha on all sides. Sasuke stares at them as he crosses his arms, electricity flying across his body.
''CHIDORI CURRENT!'' He shouts, spreading his arms forward and releases an electrical current that hits all the enemies except Houndour. It shocks and damages all of the mons, stunning into place as the trainer falls on his back. He grunts angrily, looking at Sasuke. The Houndour also looks at him, speechless as he's ever seen such power.
''W-what the hell are you?!'' The trainer questions in pain. Sasuke merely gazes at him as he activates his Sharingan, placing the scum into a Genjutsu. The trainer drops unconscious as Sasuke looks down at him, pathetic.
He turns towards the Houndour and orders him. ''Run. You don't need him anymore.''
The Houndour looks at him as Sasuke walks away. He does pick up the ball and decides to keep it before he resumes leaving the area. He begins to recall such creatures back in that city.
''Pokémon huh? I heard something about them in that Tokyo. I wonder if they're like ninja animals?'' He questions mentally, a bit interested. As he continues walking, Sasuke picks up that he's being followed. He stops on his tracks and turns, seeing the same Houndour following him.
''Why are you following me?'' Sasuke questions the dog creature.
''Dour!'' Houndour barks at Sasuke, staring at it shaken with its red eyes but not of fear. The young Uchiha stares at its eyes and scoffs, turning his back.
''Beat it.'' Sasuke tells the creature as he walks forward. Houndour quickly leaps in front of his way, barking once more but louder. ''DOUR!''
Sasuke looks at the strange creature and questions it. ''You're clearly not attacking me because I hurt your master. Then why?''
Houndour shakes its head, not here to take revenge. In fact, Houndour is happy and wants to become strong like the human before its eyes. Sasuke doesn't need words to understand what the mon wanted. He sighs… reminded of himself and… how he asked for Itachi to train him.
Closing his eyes, Sasuke turns his back to Houndour as he tells the mon. ''I'm not interested in raising you or anything. If you wish to come, be my guest.''
''… Dour!'' Smiling, the Houndour barks as the mon runs up and joins him. Sasuke looks down at it with his black eyes and just smirks before saying with a calm face. ''Let's go.''
''Dour!'' Houndour barks as the two walk together.
Sasuke returns to his team with Houndour barking at them.
''W-WHAT IS THAT?!'' Both Suigetsu and Karin express loudly, freaking out as they point their fingers at the strange creature. Jugo oddly smiles, able to tell this strange animal likes Sasuke.
Time passes (around the á La Mode arc timeline) as a lone figure walks alone for a long time. This figure, covered in robes, has walked alone for what felt like an eternity.
Reaching a river bank, she sits down and tries to fill up her military bottle of the freshwater. The bright reflection of the river shows her image, Selvaria Bles.
After surviving the fall by that robot and taken by that Dark Lord for the same strange human to let her go. Aware that her beloved ''Master'', Maximilian, never cared for her; she's gone to rediscover herself and her purpose in his life.
''…'' Silent but the flow of the river, Selvaria reflects on her journey. She's traveled more than she has ever had and what she did first was to find the one who ''killed'' her king. Well, not kill him… at first.
She had to track him down and the journey was long… but she found him. In some small village being built from the ground up, Selvaria pointed her lance at Jaeger's back. Sighing, Jaeger says with a small smile, almost not surprised that Selvaria survived and planned to kill him for what he did to her master. ''I was wondering when you would show up. I had a feeling Maximilian was wrong that you died.''
Curling her lips into a furious frown, Selvaria was prepared to kill Jaeger but seeing all the homeless people of the village staring at them, she paused and lowered her weapon. She expected Jaeger to be in hiding, not fixing up this warzone village.
''Why are you here?'' She questioned him, wondering why he was here. Jaeger just shrugged his shoulders playfully as he explained himself. ''Oh you know me, rebuilding. This is my home after all.''
Selvaria looked around her surroundings, seeing the wasteland of the warzone. She then asked him. ''Then you're rebuilding from scrap?''
Jaeger nodded as he openly admitted his mistake to trust that man. ''Maximilian had no intention to help my home so I'm taking the kid's advice; use my strength and everyone who I feel strongly for to make things right.''
Selvaria didn't reply, having seen the recording of that. She knew Maximilian was bitter and would have likely followed him… but she didn't expect he would try to kill his own allies too. Maybe… he planned to get rid of her too when the time was right.
''So this is how you wish to redeem yourself.'' She questions his reasons for being here. Jaeger just smiled, replying. ''I guess.''
The white haired woman doesn't say another word, staring at him silently. Jaeger soon asked her, calmly about it. ''So, you're going to kill me then.''
Selvaria was… but only if he had no good reason. From what she had seen, that was not the case.
''For a moment, but I don't need to anymore.'' She answered him with a sad expression, beginning to ask him. ''… Maximilian… he never cared about me, did he?''
Jaeger didn't reply right away, not sure what to tell her since she had been so devoted to the man, pledging her life for him. He sighs as he's not sure what to tell her so he puts it to the best of his abilities. ''Selvaria, you have your life. Search for your purpose and find someone that you feel something for.''
The white haired Valkyria didn't have a reply to him as his words were honest. Turning her back, she simply said as she began to walk away. ''… Goodbye, Jaeger.''
She began to walk away as she could hear the last words of Jaeger. ''Be happy, Selvaria!''
Selvaria didn't answer as she walked forward.
In present time, Selvaria finishes filling up her bottle and proceeds to walk forward, looking for that purpose… though it causes her to think about that happiness Jaeger mentioned about.
''Happy…'' She questions mentally, wondering if she'll find that as she pursues forward. ''I need a purpose first… A reason to live again.''
She walks forward to who knows where.
Much time passes (before the start of the last arc's timeline) as Team Hebi is still between boundaries, waiting for an answer to find Itachi. Sasuke has been training the Houndour, showing it the means to fight. Thanks to Jugo's ability to communicate with animals, he was able to speak to Houndour and learn his moves for Sasuke to better train it.
And thanks to his experience, Sasuke manages as the Houndour is much stronger than before; even testing its powers against him.
''Dour!'' Houndour barks smiling towards Sasuke who scoffs, almost uncaring. Suigetsu sweat drops, able to tell he likes this fire, dark dog creature.
Karin trembles, eyeing the dog really unease how close it is to Sasuke. It feels like she's losing her battle to finally have him and she can't let it happen. Just one thing: She's sort of scared of the dog.
Gulping, Karin tries approaching the Uchiha quietly, not wanting to make any unnecessary movements.
''Be strong Karin, you can still win Sasuke even if there is this nice-'' She begins telling herself, giving her confidence to go through it… until Houndour spots her and barks, smiling. ''Dour!''
Karin immediately shrieks of terror, her body shaking violently.
''G-g-g-good doggy.'' She utters out terrified. Houndour barks, happy. She likes these people, way better than that trash of a trainer she used to have.
Suigetsu eyes Sasuke and asks him, straight to the point about their mission.''So how long do we need to be out of the border of the Land of Fire and that other place we went?''
''Till we get a response from the Dark Lord.'' Sasuke just responds, still waiting for his response. Karin snaps out from her worries and reminds him. ''Sasuke, we don't know if that dragon can be trusted.''
''Maybe…'' Sasuke begins to say in agreement until he then adds. ''But he viewed Orochimaru as a thorn I was lucky to dispose of. He wishes to repay me so I expect him to keep the end of his deal.''
''Sasuke is right.'' Jugo speaks up, trusting his word. ''We can wait until we find a lead on Itachi or get the lead we need.''
Suigetsu still isn't convinced, just wanting to find Kisame and take his sword. Guess he doesn't have a choice since if Sasuke finds Itachi, he finds his Mist Swordsman.
''Dour!'' Houndour barks at Sasuke, wanting to release herself. Sasuke oddly understands her and nods, standing up as he says. ''Let's go then.''
He turns to his group and tells them. ''I'll be back.''
Sasuke walks towards the forest with Houndour running around him. Suigetsu cracks a small smirk about how much those two have gotten close.
''Man he sure loves that dog.'' He points out with a small smile. Jugo agrees with him as he says. ''She too feels the same for him.''
Karin immediately staggers, thinking he's referring to her. She coughs loudly, making a firm, panicking face as she starts uttering out loudly. ''OI JUGO! I DON'T HAVE-''
''Referring to the Houndour.'' Jugo, calmly, corrects her.
''Oh…'' Karin mutters, her face pure red… until she blinks rapidly and yells out in surprise. ''THAT IS A SHE?!''
Suigetsu sweat drops, also surprised that the dog is female. Who knew? Makes sense!
Walking deep in the forest, Sasuke eyes down at Houndour doing laps around him. He sighs how annoyed the dog can be sometimes but she has potential. He's trained her and shows her potential as a ninja animal.
''You've grown these past months.'' He expresses to the mon as she barks, smiling. Sasuke scoffs, hoping to train her so she can live on her own but she refuses to leave. He soon questions her firmly. ''How long you plan to stay by my side?''
''Dour!'' Houndour responds smiling as her tail wags happily. Sasuke sighs, expecting as much as he orders her. ''Go do your business.''
Houndour smiles as she runs off to a bush to do her business. Sasuke waits with his arms crossed. He then begins to imagine the time he went to spy on Itachi training alone and admiring his skills. He asked him to train him too but Itachi, like always, said another time.
He… he really- No, that was an illusion he put on him. Sasuke won't let his words break him like they did long ago. He'll kill him and then-
''Dour!'' Sasuke startles, hearing Houndour's cries. He wonders what's going on as he looks for her. Unaware, the Houndour did her business but came across to Jiraiya, simply traveling to meet someone.
''Oh ho! Hey there.'' Jiraiya greets the mon who blinked at him. He then reaches something from his clothes and pulls it out, revealing it to be a rice ball. He sets it down in front of her and asks her. ''You want a bite?''
Houndour blinks, looking at the riceball and sniffs it. She confirms it's not dangerous and she bites on it, swallowing it happily. ''Dour!''
Jiraiya grins, happy the dog likes it.
Sasuke arrives to see the dog eating something she shouldn't have, no less to a stranger. She still hasn't learned not to trust others.
''I taught you to not drop your guard on-'' He begins to say as he faces the one who's feeding her and startles a bit. Jiraiya looks up and his eyes widen in shock.
''You!'' Jiraiya mutters out with Sasuke questioning him firmly, fully aware who he is. "You're a Sannin, the Toad Sage…''
Jiraiya looks at him calmly with Houndour oddly uneasy by the two facing the other.
''Dour?'' She barks, still eating the rice ball. She then suddenly turns, smelling another scent; someone else is watching them.
How will this unexpected meeting end?
Commercial Break:
Jiraiya: Two Ninjas meeting in the quietest of places. Call it fate wishing to see how this will turn out.
Sasuke: I'm not here because of fate, Sannin.
Jiraiya wasn't expecting to come across Naruto's old friend but also the very same one who left to pursue power under Orochimaru's will… well seemingly. He still can't believe someone like Orochimaru died by Sasuke's hands. It says much that this kid is someone he shouldn't drop his guard for a moment. Of all the places though; fate is truly ironic.
"Oh… wasn't expecting this.'' Jiraiya begins to say, trying to put some humor in this strange situation. Sasuke remains silent as the Sannin then begins saying, tensing down the environment. ''I remember you were small back when you and Naruto were-''
''Why are you here?'' Sasuke immediately questions him with a calm gaze. Jiraiya can tell this boy is not as humorous as he hoped for as he responds. ''Just looking for someone…''
Just a simple meeting with an informant that has intel on the Akatsuki… but now things are different to meet the boy Orochimaru had been teaching, grooming to take his body and was killed by the same. ''Though I guess fate is being funny to have us meet.''
''… Orochimaru told me much about you, Jiraiya…'' Sasuke begins to say as he gazes at the old, wise man. ''You're an idiot much like Naruto but smart enough to not be on his level so I'll make this simple…''
Sasuke activates his Sharingan eyes and tells him off coldly. ''Don't cross my path.''
Houndour gulps a bit; he's a lot more frightening than his old trainer but at least she likes him more. Jiraiya tries not to look at Sasuke directly in the eyes, frowning as he reminds him so much of Orochimaru. Though he's a lot less cocky.
''So he must have told you how I wasn't able to bring him back to his senses.'' Jiraiya then questions the young man. Sasuke does not answer him, not asking such nonsense that doesn't concern him.
Just looking at him, Jiraiya can't help but his own failure in bringing Orochimaru back to his senses and now he can't. This might be the only redemption he can do to help Naruto but most of all; Sasuke has become dangerous. If he's capable of beating Orochimaru, then who knows what else he's capable of to reach his revenge.
"I have to fix my mistakes.'' Jiraiya tells himself as he performs a fighting pose. ''You're too dangerous and reckless to be wandering around.''
''… I made it clear, didn't I?'' Sasuke begins to say as he vanishes in an instant. Jiraiya widens his eyes as Sasuke is now behind him within that same second, simply gripping on the handle of his katana. ''Don't cross my path.''
''He's quick!'' Jiraiya says as he begins to turn and swings a kick at him. Sasuke doesn't react as he moves so fast and he kicks him first on the chest, pushing him backwards. Jiraiya gags up as blood drips from his mouth. He swipes it with his thumb, performing hand seals and then shouts, slamming that same hand on the ground. ''SUMMONING TECHNIQUE!''
Smoke covers as a large jumping toad leaps out and shoots out its tongue, extremely fast. Sasuke dodges out of the way fast as the toad launches towards him.
''… Use Dark Pulse.'' Watching, Sasuke commands as Houndour jumps in front of him and she releases dark energy waves across its body, blasting the toad so hard it poofs into smoke. Jiraiya is surprised by that, questioning him. ''That Pokémon is yours?''
Sasuke doesn't answer him and instead orders Houndour further. ''Use Flame Burst.''
Houndour opens her fangs and shoots out a fireball from her mouth, coming at Jiraiya. He slaps his hands as his hair becomes long and large, wrapping around his body and blocks the flames. This surprises Houndour while Sasuke remains calm.
''NEEDLE JIZO!'' Jiraiya shouts as his long hair shoots right towards Sasuke. Houndour oddly leaps away rather than to defend him as the sharp hair wraps around Sasuke's body. Jiraiya watches as his attack catches him until he sees large white snakes wrapped around him, taking the blow from the sharp hair strains.
''White snakes?!'' Jiraiya mutters out in surprise as they remind him of Orochimaru's snakes. Sasuke then unsheathes his sword, electricity coursing through its blade as he cuts down the hair. It pulls back as Jiraiya then performs a hand seal and shouts. ''NEEDLE HELL!''
He waves his long hair around and fires sharpened hair strands-like needles from the hair like a porcupine. Pulling out multiple Shurikens from his teleported ninja weapon wrists, Sasuke throws them, amplified with electricity, and deflects each one of the needles with such speed.
Jiraiya is taken back as Sasuke comes dashing with great speed, swinging his blade. Jiraiya actually catches the blade coming at him with both hands. Sasuke glares as he prepares to release a Chidori Current but Jiraiya quickly kicks him backwards.
Sasuke somersaults, bouncing the palm of his hands upward as he's launched up high. Descending, he then holds his hands together and shouts as he inhales back. ''FIRE RELEASE: PHOENIX SAGE FIRE TECHNIQUE!''
He breathes, shooting out multiple fireballs at him. Jiraiya quickly dodges around them as they hit the ground, literally panicking as he swirls his still long hair around.
''WILD LION'S MANE TECHNIQUE!'' Jiraiya shouts as he launches his hair forward, becoming the shape of a lion's mouth before splitting apart into multiple hair strands, piercing through each of the dozen multiple miniature fireballs. They come at Sasuke who raises his blade forward and fires a Chidori Sharp Spear through his blade, cutting through the hair and then he swings, slashing them.
Sasuke lands back on the ground as Jiraiya shouts, inhaling his mouth. ''TOAD OIL BULLET!''
''FIRE RELEASE: GREAT FIREBALL TECHNIQUE!'' Sasuke responds in suit, inhaling and breathing his massive fireball forward as Jiraiya shoots out oil from his mouth. The two attacks hit and create a powerful explosion. This gets the rest of Team Hebi's attention as they run to check it out.
Sasuke braces himself with Houndour beside him. Smoke surrounds him but his Sharingan eyes see someone coming and the strong surge of wind being heard
Coming towards Sasuke, Jiraiya comes descending as he wields the sphere of Chakra in his right palm.
''RASENGAN!'' Jiraiya shouts, swinging his attack at the young Uchiha. Sasuke immediately uses his Genjutsu: Sharingan upon Jiraiya who finds himself stabbed a hundred times by spears. He soon drops on the ground, the energy sphere hitting the ground and blasts most of that ground as a tiny crater.
Houndour sweats heavily as Sasuke looks down at the seemingly defeated Sannin.
''You expect to fight me like-'' Sasuke begins to say until Jiraiya poofs into smoke. Houndour panics as it's a Shadow Clone as the real Jiraiya comes behind Sasuke, wielding a 10 times massive, large Rasengan.
''BIG BALL RASENGAN!'' He shouts, swinging the attack at him. Sasuke doesn't turn as Jiraiya swings his attack at him but immediately Houndour leaps in front of the surprised Sannin and his super large Rasengan.
''Dour!'' Houndour barks as Sasuke orders without turning his back. ''Use Counter.''
Houndour's body glows and releases a powerful, reflecting and coating defense barrier. Jiraiya is thrusted into the ground. Jiraiya grunts trying to get up but as he did, multiple snakes come out and wrap themselves around the toad sage's body.
This shocks Jiraiya, recalling Sasuke's fireballs he dodged and they hit the ground.
''Those fireballs from before.'' He questions in shock, realizing he's been planning this from the start. Sasuke scoffs, seeing no reason to kill him as he says, sheathing her sword. ''Guess we're done.''
He begins to walk away with Houndour barking and follows behind him. Jiraiya watches, grunting as he tries to break free. He can't submit this; he can't fail again.
''Not yet.'' He declares, breaking free and bites his thumb, slamming it onto the ground. Smoke surrounds him as a massive frog leaps towards Sasuke who prepares by grabbing his hand onto the grip of his katana.
Just then a figure dashes in front of Sasuke and the figure pulls out a massive, strange metal shield as it releases blue fiery aura. It unleashes a strong pulse wave that blasts the toad and sends him flying away. Jiraiya is taken back as did Sasuke.
''D-dour!'' Houndour barks surprised by that too. Jiraiya stares as he calls out to the new challenger. ''Oh, back-up?''
Sasuke stares seriously, having detected this person watching them from the start. The hooded figure pulls off her hood, revealing it to be Selvaria.
She came across them and watched them, seeing techniques she had faced before.
''You use the same technique as that one.'' Selvaria questions Jiraiya, having seen that technique used by the spiky blond head who speaks without thinking.
Jiraiya, however, can't help but be speechless by this beautiful woman.
''OH~!'' Acting like the perverted sage he is, Jiraiya apologizes for attacking her while making his moves towards her. ''My apology, milady, I didn't mean to assume you were an enemy.''
Selvaria is silent, just making a stern yet puzzled expression by what this man is saying.
''How about we move somewhere more-'' Jiraiya continues flirting with the young, beautiful woman as he walks towards only to immediately have his face staring down at a sharp spear-like weapon she's wielding.
''Leave before I burn you into ashes.'' Selvaria threatens him calmly as her eyes glow and her body surrounded by her fiery blue aura. Sasuke stares at her, taken back by this power. This is no doubt the same power that another woman has.
Jiraiya sweats heavily, feeling her intense heat and boy does it remind him of Tsunade, only imagining what she's capable of and it worries him.
''I got stuff to do anyway haha!'' He expresses as he quickly backs away instantly. He looks at Sasuke and tells him seriously. ''Naruto doesn't intend to stop in bringing you back to Konoha. I might be a failure but he will succeed because he's your friend. Remember that.''
Sasuke doesn't answer him, only gazing firmly as he imagines that idiot and all of his attempts.
Jiraiya then poofs into smoke, vanishing. Selvaria lowers her lance, very puzzled how a man can be calm yet perverted.
Houndour tries to approach the strange woman that helped them until he notices Sasuke walking away. She staggers and follows right behind him.
Sasuke has better things to do, needing to reach his team. Houndour looks at him and sniffs someone following them.
''Dour!'' She barks at him with Sasuke fully aware.
''I know.'' He responds as he stops and turns around, facing the white haired woman following him.
''Why are you following me?'' Sasuke questions her, slightly annoyed. Selvaria looks at him and simply tells him firmly. ''You never thank me.''
''Why should I?'' The Uchiha questions her again with Selvaria responding insensibly. ''I supposed not.''
She then looks at him and tells him, having seen his fight with the other and witness his electrical attacks. ''But I saw you fight that man and you too used an attack I've seen before.''
Sasuke doesn't answer her, fully aware who she's referring to.
''Used by a cat girl then.'' Selvaria then says, remembering that pink haired girl with the cat features. This confirms Sasuke's suspicions as he then tells her. ''And you wield a lance and shield like that girl with the red bandana. You both have similar powers too.''
This startles Selvaria partly, not aware Alicia is with that group or that she's still wielding the powers of a Valkyria. She cracks a small smile before looking at the Houndour, trembling a bit nervously.
''D-D-Dour!'' She starts barking towards her. Selvaria looks at it, never seeing a dog like this before. She kneels down and pets her head. Houndour blushes red, wagging her tail.
''Strange creature.'' Selvaria says, not sure how to feel but she did feel… happy. She stands up and asks the black haired young man. ''Is she yours?''
Sasuke is partly astonished that she could tell what her gender was, simply answering her. ''I suppose.''
He looks at her and oddly asks her now. ''Where are you going then?''
Selvaria isn't completely sure herself but she does know she needs to find herself.
''I'm simply going where there could be people to point me to where the next-'' She begins to explain as she's trying to get to the next town to search out what she wants until suddenly her stomach begins to growl.
''…'' Selvaria makes an embarrassing, red face. She hasn't eaten in a long time.
Scoffing to think she's hungry as he's reminded of Naruto, Sasuke turns his back and tells her. ''Follow me then…''
He turns to face her, asking her. ''Name.''
''Selvaria Bles.'' Selvaria answers him as Sasuke scoffs, doing the same. ''… Sasuke Uchiha.''
The two eye the other firmly yet quiet.
''Dour!'' Houndour barks smiling, happy to see them get along.
''Sasuke!'' Sasuke turns as his team shows up with Jugo asking for concern. ''Everything okay?''
''As okay as it can be.'' Sasuke responds calmly. Selvaria stares at them, wondering if they're his-
Just then her stomach growls again, causing her to blush again of embarrassment. This gets the rest of Team Hebi's attention, staring at this strange woman.
''Eh…'' Suigetsu sweat drops; taken back that Sasuke brought another into her group. Karin took this well!
''WHO THE HELL IS THIS BITCH?!'' Karin, adjusting her glasses as she makes a furious face, questions in her head and angrier.
Time passes as Jiraiya escapes that issue, though he's taken back how strong Sasuke is. He might have had to use… that technique. Still, the Uchiha is no pushover.
Jiraiya slowly frowns, hoping he could have brought him back but now he has to put his trust into Naruto.
''Not sure what I'm going to tell the kid but I guess I'll explain it when I get back to Konoha quickly.'' He tells himself,thinking of trying the Reverse Summoning Technique. You say a hello to Pa and Ma too.
But first thing first as Jiraiya comes across a small restaurant house.
''This must be the place.'' He tells himself as he walks inside. He walks in, seeing this place as a ghost joint. He approaches the corner of the restaurant to see an old man, eating a bowl of chili.
Jiraiya sits on the other side of the table and tells him. ''Sorry for the wait. You're the one who wanted me?''
''That I am sonny!'' The old man responds, taking a bite of chili with his spoon. He lets out a moan, speaking up joyfully. ''I sure love chili! Want some.''
''No thanks.'' Jiraiya politely tells him as he asks him seriously. ''So what's the intel you have for me?''
The old man moans, taking another bite of his bowl as he begins speaking. ''I am just a simple farmer, father of 5- 8? 4 children! And a lovely wife who never makes chili. I am just a man looking for-''
Jiraiya sweat drops, already imagining this man to be ranting about his past and he doesn't have the time for that. He tries bribing the man with a confident smile. ''I'll buy plenty of chili if you tell me-''
''OH YES.'' Jiraiya staggers as the old man stops eating and begins explaining. ''My grandchild of my eldest son who is a wheat farmer saw 2 strange people walking past wearing these black robes with red clouds.''
This immediately gets Jiraiya's attention. This is no doubt the Akatsuki.
''Oh and he mention one of them had black hair with strange red eyes.'' The old man then mentions Jiraiya as he confirms that being Itachi Uchiha.
''And one of them, big fish man, mentioned they had a meeting with their leader in some village near the mountains, somewhere near this area.'' The old man then begins to reveal to Jiraiya confusion. ''Leader?''
Jiraiya begins to recall the only village near these parts is… the Village Hidden within the Rain. Jiraiya frowns reminded of those kids.
''The grandchild of my other son is near this Rain Village. Always raining due to their God.'' The old man begins to further inform him. Jiraiya staggers back, questioning him. ''God? What of Hanzo?''
The old man shrugs his shoulders saying. ''Never heard of this Hanzo fella.''
''…'' Jiraiya is quiet by this new information and he can't help but become worried. But at the same time this is good as he will learn what the Akatsuki is really up to. He pulls out a bag from his vest and thanks the old man, putting the bag in front of him. ''Thank you for the information old timer.''
He looks at the bag and shakes his head, telling him. ''No need sonny, I'm happy to get to eat chili.''
Jiraiya has a feeling and he pleads to him, pushing the bag forward. ''I insist.''
The old man eyes the bag and nods. Jiraiya smiles standing up and tells him. ''Thanks again, old timer.''
''Oh no thank you!'' The old man expresses with a smile. Jiraiya soon walks out of the restaurant, heading back to Konoha in a hurry.
''Yes… thank you.'' The old man repeats himself, almost sounding menacingly. He soon gets off from his seat and walks towards the restroom, stepping inside. Alone, the old man stares at his reflection as he slowly forms his grin and body is wrapped in darkness, changing form.
The lone waitress blinks seeing the bag of the old man and he's still inside the restroom for a while. She walks over there and knocks on the door.
''Sir, you left your-'' She begins to say on the other end until the door opens up and she blinks as if it isn't the old man. ''Oh you're not-''
Smiling, Akumu Momomiya replies as he adjusts his tie. ''My bad, milady. The old man is still using the toilet. He said you can take the bag of money.''
She blinks, wondering if the old man is okay.
''Oh and…'' Akumu begins to say, pulling out from his suit a stack of money for her. ''Here.''
She blinks, accepting the money but tells him. ''B-but you didn't-''
''Take care.'' Akumu tells her with a charming smile as he walks out of the small restaurant and can't help but grin. Everything played out like he wanted.
''Now my plan begins… just one more piece.'' Akumu begins to say as his eyes glow red and yellow dragon pupils.
It is now present time as Team Hebi still searches for Itachi… with another mouth to feed. Selvaria hasn't left the group, feeling compelled to see through Sasuke's revenge towards his brother. Maybe this will help her with her own problems.
Sadly it makes Karin even bitterer and angrier.
Suigetsu eyes Selvaria and her Valkyria lance.
''You really have a crazy cool lance.'' He admits to her, really wanting to try to wield it. Selvaria sweat drops with a stern face, admitting Sasuke's group is… unstable. Between the man made out of water, the woman that wants to kill her for Sasuke and the quiet one; she doesn't know how he deals with this.
She still notices Suigetsu wanting to wield her weapon and sighs, telling him. ''Go ahead.''
Suigetsu can't help but grin. He moves up to her lance and rubs his hands as he grabs on it and begins to lift it up… and struggles to even lift it off the ground. This shocks him as he uses his abilities to amplify and expand his muscles and even then just struggles to lift just over the ground. Suigetsu struggles heavily, commenting in dismay. ''T-The hell does this thing weight?!''
Selvaria ignores him as she turns towards Sasuke, looking at the moon with Houndour howling towards it. He's fixated on finding Itachi more than ever. He knows the time will come soon.
''You worry too much to hunt down for your brother.'' Sasuke snaps out and turns, gazing towards Selvaria. He scoffs at her and questions her reasons to be here. ''Is that why you're still with us? To stop me?''
Selvaria shakes her as she explains herself. ''No. I wish to see how far one will go for revenge.''
Sasuke doesn't respond. He's not sure what will happen once he takes his revenge against Itachi but he'll figure things out once he kills him.
''RWARRR!'' Roars of a dragon are heard as everyone becomes alarmed and turns as a Dark Dragon Hunter lands in front of them.
''That's!'' Sasuke begins to say, recognizing the dragon as Houndour trembles behind his legs. Selvaria remains silent, also recognizing this thing as a thinner version of the Dark Lord.
"Rwar!'' The Dark Dragon Hunter growls as he walks up towards Sasuke and hands him a cell phone. Sasuke looks at it and accepts it. The phone then begins to ring as he answers it.
''Ah Sasuke. It's has been a long time, hasn't it?'' The voice of Akumu Momomiya speaks on the other end. Sasuke isn't sure how to feel, finally getting his reply from the Dark Lord but he is happy.
''And today is your lucky day my boy…'' Akumu begins to inform him of the news he desired. ''I know where Itachi is heading towards and you're very close.''
''… Tell me where.'' His heart beating, Sasuke immediately asks him. Now… he can find and kill Itachi.
Standing over a rooftop, Kojan, with his eyes closed, faces the city before him with his eyes closed.
''…'' Kojan, silent, begins imagining a time in his life.
He was walking, hanging out with his older brother before he went on a mission. It was a quiet walk back home but it was nice, the most peaceful time they had. As they got close to their home, the younger Kojan asked his brother if one day he'll become a ninja too just like him.
''Maybe.'' His brother, Shisui, replied at first before he told him smiling. ''But you can be your own person too, Kojan.''
Opening his eyes, Kojan pulls out a photo of his younger self with his brother, Shisui Uchiha, next to him and smiling a bit. He slowly becomes firm and tells himself. ''Itachi-Onii-san, I won't let you die like Onii-chan.''
Aware of what really happened to his brother and his closest friend, Kojan intends to stop Itachi from something he doesn't deserve... and kill that masked man that has tormented.
''I won't let him take anyone else.'' Kojan vows with a cold gaze, his Sharingan eyes glowing with bitter hate.
Paths will cross and fate will determine where they head towards. How will things end?

Alicia: I mean we've fought aliens, some rouge guy and Zorc and his forces, back-to-back. So yea, we need a break.

Ichigo groans angrily, sobbing.
Judai: Eh not the best of times buddy.

Yugi sighs: Okay. Okay. Let's help our friend out, again.
Ed: … He owes us.
Yugi eyes Haruto.

Author's Note: Yes, from one big original arc to a canon arc. I just call it the Pursuit Arc, a pursuit of finding and getting Sasuke and Itachi as Naruto's as well as everyone else. In this arc, expect what you expect and then some. Plus this is also a plot Akumu is aiming towards.
For once... the first chapter of this new arc doesn't involve Yugi or Ichigo. Crazy huh?
Plus we get the return of Selvaria, trying to rediscover herself and her path crosses with Sasuke.
And the small clash between Sasuke and Jiraiya.
… If anyone disagrees that if Sasuke got a Pokémon and one of them isn't Houndour/Houndoom… that person is wrong. That's like the best mon that describes Sasuke in some ways… mainly towards the Sasuke that he becomes after… SPOILER, he learns the truth about Itachi.
I guess I have to go over… Why is Kojan's brother Shisui? SImple… WHY NOT?! I think it's perfect since come on, people hype Shisui with having the strongest Mangekyou Sharingan abilities so in this case… Kojan can too and his fate can change for the better too, depending of course. That and well... Shisui gets a bad stick being hyped but we barely see him fight or whatnot since yea, he's dead. Well here's Kojan, proving his worth of being his brother.
Anyway, next time gets crazier with what the Dark Lord is plotting.
I want to welcome everyone back after my month-ish off. I was able to catch up A BIT... A bit...
SO has anyone seen Tokyo Mew Mew New? If so and you want my opinion: It's AMAZING, one major gripe not involved with the episode but other than that, it was great and better. NOW... No, I will not re-adapt TMM to have the New version because a lot New has done with episode 1 is what I did with Volume 1 Ichigo and improved on it as the volumes went on. Will I do TMM New? Hmm... good question, no response.
... I HAD TO UPDATE TODAY... SIGH... So... the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh, my favorite anime, Kazuki Takahashi, passed away today... He was found snorekling and dead, attacked by sharks seemingly and I'm just... FIRST Mia Ikumi passed away and now this young, amazing manga author too?! I LOST BOTH YUGI AND ICHIGO'S CREATORS?! WTF IS THIS?! NO. I... It's not fair. It's not. I... sigh... yea... No comment on this please. Just no.
