Touch Up

Leon exhaled through his mouth, doing his best not to swallow the thick chemical smell.
Leon was touching up his roots.
When he was a small boy, his hair was sun bleached to white (you could ask Ark), and as he entered his teens, it took on a sort of red tint, a really light strawberry blonde colour. When he was about twenty-five his hair darkened to the point where it was nearly beyond dark blonde and crossing into the light brown area.
Leon didn't want to be a brunette, so he started dyeing his hair. It was girly, but he figured out quick how to mix and rinse the right way to make the blonde hair look as natural as could be.
Unfortunately, the truth was revealed when the product he normally bought wasn't in stock for two weeks and was then assigned to the Grahm Kidnapping. Word got around quick, and even though by the time he returned to work he'd fixed his hair, everyone in his department snickered the following Monday.
He sighed, dropping hands and rotating his head back and forth slowly, checking his reflection for any areas he might of missed. It was a little bit of hard work, but it was something he didn't mind so much.
He watched Sherry walk past the doorway and then she reentered it.
"Oh, Leon!" She cried angrily from the hall. "You're using my dye!"
Sherry's hair had begun to darken, too, as she got older. Darker hair was not kind to her complex, so she began dyeing her hair just as often as Leon when she was just fourteen.
"Fucking, what?" he asked turning around. She stomped in, lifted up the box and pointed at the label.
"Look—it says 'Striking Sun Shimmer' blonde." She looked at him. "Don't you use 'Golden Gardenia'?"
Leon cringed. "Ah, shit." He looked at the mirror. "Washing it out is not going to save this." He smacked the counter. "I'm gonna have to ride it out. Damn…"
"Ha ha," Sherry said, setting the box back down. "Not only do I get to see you with multi-toned hair, but now you owe thirty bucks for wasting my touch up dye." She patted him especially hard on his back and he glared at her reflection.
"Go away."
She smiled really big again, showing no teeth, then spun around and skipped down the hall.
"Ah, man…"

Author's Note: TheDonutMistress told me to write this, because "there's a story in that." Appearently, there has to be a reason why Leon had blonde hair with dark roots in Resi four, and reddy-blonde hair in two. This is my attempt at it. This is a lot shorter than most of my Leon/Sherry stories, but really, there's nothing else to say here. So, enjoy, kay?
R&R please. Any commentary is always appreciated.
