Hello to all! This is Episode 56 of the arc: The Pursuit!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 5: Episode 56: Attack of the Akatsuki Part 2! Blood Sand!
In the previous episode of DKR:
The Akatsuki, commanded by Pain, headed out to confront Team Dragon Knight unaware the Dark Lord revived the dead Akatsuki members (minus Orochimaru) and Pain also ordered them to deal with Yugi and friends.
Arriving at their location, Yugi can't sense any auras due to something blocking his ability (done possible by the Dark Lord) and so the group splits up to search for Sasuke.
However each split group of Team Dragon Knight have come across the Akatsuki, each one forced to deal with the one they're up against (minus Yugi's group who instead confront Kabuto) with Jonouchi, Danny and Ruby forced to deal with not just Deidara but Sasuke in there.
What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... last left off in the previous episode:
Dashing across the forest, Kojan is trying to sense out Itachi. He is more than confident that he's within the area but he can't sense his aura. Not only that but he can't sense any aura. He scoffs, not minding his presence utterly locked from someone like Yugi to sense him but he needs to sense Itachi.
''Can't sense energy…'' He begins to say mentally, certain this could be the Dark Lord since he's aware of the Dragon Knight's ability to sense auras. Kojan scoffs as he then proclaims mentally. ''Fine, I'll deal with this first.''
Sensing just dark energy, Kojan detects it, narrowing his eyes to the right.
''This way…'' He utters out, dashing to that direction. He has to disable whatever is blocking auras and then stop Itachi from dying.
Akumu has been more fixated on the fights about to start than to observe the surroundings. He smirks, wanting to see how the Dragon Knight's foolish friends will survive against the Akatsuki.
"Seems the brat and his friends have engaged with the Akatsuki.'' He begins to tell Evangeline, resting beside him with a smug smirk. She then asks him. ''Is this still fine, Akumu? I mean you want the boy dead.''
''I have my reasons.'' Akumu explains himself, wanting to be sure where the brat is in his current state to kill him in the worst way possible… and he wants to know what the Akatsuki are capable of. After all, he is about to make a business deal with these people; best he knows how well they can handle themselves.
Plus he has another reason, looking at Evangeline with a charming smile. The vampire mage just smirks though blushes.
''Well let's enjoy the show then…'' Evangeline says, not minding to watch to see how this plays out. Her eyes narrow towards the group the Dragon Knight is, confronting someone they didn't plan for. ''Though that one isn't someone you were planning?''
Akumu frowns, looking at Kabuto. Indeed it isn't and just sensing him; it makes him angry.
''Sadly no and I sense something I hate from the child.'' Akumu openly admits, staring closely at what this pest intends to do and learns something too.
Ichigo stares, worrying with Yugi standing beside her with Kaiba, Naruto, Hinata and Yamato staring at Kabuto's appearance and what he said.
''From what you learned from me Nya?'' Ichigo begins to question those words he told her before asking him about it. ''What do you mean Nya?''
Kabuto, most of his face hidden by his hood, ignores that statement as he pulls out a book from his cloak.
''First, my gift.'' He says, tossing the book in front of Yamato as he explains it. ''That book contains all the bingo criminals Orochimaru has learned about including the Akatsuki, though limited. It also had his bases and with those he's captured and altered.''
Yamato looks down at the book before questioning this ''gift''. ''Why are you giving us that?''
''I have no means for them.'' Kabuto simply explains with a smile. Yugi looks at him suspiciously before questioning him now. ''You said those were Orochimaru-kun's bases.''
Frowning and saddened, Kabuto begins to say. ''Yes, they were. Orochimaru-sama is gone.''
The group already knows that from Sasuke's mouth and the rumor of Orochimaru dying by Sasuke's hand. At first it broke him, losing the only person that needed him… but now…
Kabuto reaches with one of his hands over his head and pulls down his hood, causing everyone to widen their eyes in absolute shock.
''But now Orochimaru-sama lives through me!'' Kabuto, with a craze grin, proclaims revealing his full face and the left half that was hidden is revealed, having white scaled and his left eye transformed to resemble Orochimaru's.
Naruto can't help but sweat yet angry. Kabuto laughs almost crazy as he looks at Ichigo and asks her. ''Do you like my evolution! I took your words by heart!''
Ichigo makes a grim, horrified expression. How her words could, back then, inspire him to try to become like that white snake freak show!
Kabuto is honest with what he said; realizing what he needed to do with Orochimaru gone; evolved himself.
''Though to evolve, I needed Orochimaru's cells within me and that is what I did.'' Kabuto explains his growing transformation, feeling himself becoming more like Orochimaru with his cell coursing through his body.
Kaiba has a face of disgust before uttering out. ''I don't know this man but I already find him disturbing and a threat.''
He faces Naruto and orders him. ''Big mouth future Hokage, deal with him!''
This staggers Naruto but he isn't objecting to that, responding determinedly. ''O-On it!''
Naruto steps forward, ready to fight. Kabuto smirks as he taunts him. ''You wish to fight me, Naruto-kun?''
The spiky blond haired Shinobi doesn't answer him as Kabuto, chuckling, begins to say. ''I suppose so. I do plan to finish what Orochimaru was unable and become the ultimate Shinobi…''
He then adjusts his glasses and proclaims with an evil smirk. ''And gain Sasuke Uchiha's body.''
That causes Naruto to snap, glaring enraged, as he shouts in protest pulling out a Kunai. ''That ain't happening!''
Naruto charges with Yugi about to help out but then the group is attacked by white large snakes emerging from the ground. He pulls out his Dragon Sword, kicking one launching towards him and then slashes the other. Yamato summons wood to repel them as Hinata strikes the snakes with Gentle Fist while Ichigo leaps over them. She sees Naruto trying to punch Kabuto who dodges his attacks with ease.
Grabbing onto her Mew Pendant, Ichigo utters out loudly. ''Mew Mew Strawberry, Metamorphosis!''
Her body shines as Ichigo delivers a kick across Kabuto, fully transformed into her Mew form. She kicks him away as she lands on the ground and comes charging at him.
''I did promise I would return the favor after you beaten me.'' Mew Ichigo tells him as she swings a claw-like hand swipe. Kabuto smirks as he shoots out a long white snake from his arm sleeve, shocking the cat girl, yelling out. ''NYA?!''
The white snake tries to bite her but the cat girl uses her quick agility to move to the left, twirls around fast and performs a roundhouse kick that knocks the snake away. Kabuto smirks, shooting out more snakes from his sleeves. She sees them coming as she summons pink electricity across her hand.
''RIBBON CHIDORI YARN THREAD!'' Mew Ichigo shouts, swinging her hands forwards and unleashes electrical threads. They wrap themselves around the snakes, shocking them violently.
Naruto jumps in between with a Kunai swing but Kabuto swiftly kicks him away. His Kunai falls off but Mew Ichigo catches it and uses Ribbon Chidori Blade, swinging it at him but Kabuto leaps away quickly.
Hissing, Mew Ichigo then begins to shout, trying to trigger her evolved form. ''Mew Mew-''
However before she can, Kabuto announces with a small smirk. ''It's still quite soon for me to fight you.''
He's hiding the fact his body is still adapting to Orochimaru's cells and he can't risk the process as it can lead him to death. Smirking, Kabuto instead tells him off. ''Another time though.''
The white snakes dig back inside the ground. Mew Ichigo hissed angrily, about to attack him but then Kabuto reveals with the group. ''Though you should hurry, the Dark Lord and the Akatsuki are currently working together as we speak!''
Yugi figures as much. However, Kabuto then tells directly to the cat girl still coming at him. ''Oh and Momomiya-kun, you must be really proud of your uncle, no? Curious why he was possessed by the Dark Lord… or was he?''
This causes Mew Ichigo to stop on her tracks, widening her eyes. Kabuto smirks as he bids his farewell. ''Until we meet again, Momomiya-kun.''
He begins to slitter away like a snake, vanishing in an instant into the shadows. Mew Ichigo stands there with her eyes still speechless.
Akumu growls heavily, clenching his fists with such fury. Evangeline can tell this is a concern.
''My, this could be an issue.'' She says, wondering how he knows that.
Akumu doesn't say a word, growling even more annoyed. Just when he thought Orochimaru was no more, another Orochimaru takes his place. He'll have to kill him for sure.
Ruby blinks awkwardly at this scenario. Her group confronted Sasuke, they talked and then this weird eyepatch person and his orange masked teammate showed up. Still, this isn't completely weird.
She watches Jonouchi and the stranger pointing at each other as she then asks. ''Who's she?''
''I'M A HE HMM!'' Deidara, further snapping, corrects her by yelling. Ruby blushes sweat dropping, not meaning to assume he was something else. Jonouchi also sweat drops as he tells her. ''Trust me; I thought the same thing too Ruby.''
This just enrages Deidara as he calls them off. ''SHUT UP, you worthless scum that can't appreciate true art!''
''I SEEN BETTER ARTWORK FROM A KINDERGARTEN!'' Jonouchi barks back furious which only enrages Deidara further. ''YOU SON OF A-''
''Temper, Senpai!'' Tobi stops him, acting carefree as he waves his hand towards the readers. ''We got kids present.''
Deidara immediately sweat drops heavily by what the heck is he even talking about. He then tells him off, jabbing his hand across Tobi's mask. ''The hell I care about these fools that don't know what real art is like!''
Blinking, Ruby then asks giggling. ''I like weapons! Does that count?''
Deidara pauses, looking at the girl with a gaze of disgust towards her. She has the nerve to say weapons and his art is the same thing!
''Ruby, just don't say another word.'' Danny pleads with her, having seen how this guy fights last time.
Ruby blinks not following as she proclaims smiling. ''Why? He seems nice even though he really-REALLY likes his art!''
She turns towards the ponytail yellow blond haired man and asks him. ''Hey, what's your art? Painting, hand-drawing? OH! Maybe Paper Mache?''
Stunned with a look of content fury, Deidara doesn't answer her and simply opens up the palm of his right hand. Ruby blinks, looking at his hand and it has a few animal-like clay figures.
''Clay? I guess to make pots right?'' Ruby asks with a smile. This utterly pisses him off and throws the clay animal miniatures. He then shouts, holding up his index and middle finger as he clenches his other fingers tightly. ''KATSU!''
Jonouchi and Danny panic, trying to grab onto Ruby to pull her away but it's too late as the clay glows and explodes on impact. Sasuke watches firmly, bracing himself as smoke covers the area.
Tobi sweat drops, asking his superior. ''A little extreme huh, Senpai?''
''Shut up Tobi! Now I can-'' Deidara begins to tell him off until Sasuke charges through the smoke, having already pulled out his katana blade. Sasuke moves in with such speed, cutting through Tobi in his way while Deidara leaps onto a tree branch. Sasuke cuts through but he is startled that his blade cuts through that man but he's perfectly fine though panicking. Some kind of Jutsu.
''Damn bastard!'' Deidara utters, enraged. That guy is fast, like his damn older brother.
''So you're of the Akatsuki.'' Sasuke begins to theorize, twirling his blade around before adding. ''Perfect, you'll tell me where Itachi is.''
This pisses off Deidara like he's no threat to him.
''Like hell!'' He shouts, forming clay for this battle. Tobi then declares, still acting like the joking idiot. ''I got him Senpai-''
Immediately Houndour pounces on top of him, barking. ''Dour!''
Tobi freaks out, sinking into the ground through a mole hole to Houndour's shocking surprise as the masked man comes popping out of the ground and screams. ''EEK! BAD DOGGO!''
Houndour barks angrily, releasing Flame Burst at him which Tobi dodges by literally twirling around like a ballerina.
Sasuke focuses his attention to Deidara who creates bombs followed by mine-like clay monsters. Sasuke uses his skills to evade the explosions and even the one that got him entrap and explode on him only for Sasuke to emerge, using the Substitution Technique to evade the explosion.
As that fight is going on, Ruby has used her Semblance to dash away second before the explosion consumes her and the others. Jonouchi breathed heavily, thinking they were goners. Even Danny is surprised, about to go ghost until Ruby just grabbed him and Jonouchi and they dashed away.
''You're games of tag with Sonic really paid off!'' Jonouchi yells out, really amazed that just a game of tag could work. Ruby just grins softly, also admitting how well that paid off. Taking Yugi and Ichigo's advice, Ruby and the other girls have decided to try to learn something to improve their own skills. For her, it is speed and Sonic was the best guy to ask for such help. He gladly accepted, just to try something new. So they tried tagging since Sonic knows Ruby isn't as good with her reflexes with her max speed yet. At first she didn't understand it but she got a hang of it!
Danny looks back at the mess as he asks. ''So what should we do?''
Jonouchi already has an answer but he sighs, knowing what the two will say. He groans as he says, pretty grumpy. ''We can't let Sasuke die.''
Ruby nods smiling.
''But you two got this.'' Jonouchi does say, revealing he did not bring his Duel Disk with him since he left it back home. ''No Duel Disk.''
''We still got this. Going ghost!'' Danny confidently as he transforms into his Ghost form and then advises Ruby. ''Ruby, long range.''
''Huh?'' She just utters confusedly. Danny just tells her. ''Trust me. You'll thank me later.''
Ruby still blinks but she nods, trusting his word. Jonouchi can only to his uneasiness that the others will find them here.
Alicia's group are confronted by one of the Akatsuki and to Alicia's dislike; she kinda wishes the others are here or at least one of the ninjas being here. Like a great plan splitting LITERALLY everyone! She sighs, no point complaining now.
''Alright giant metal guy, you sure you want to fight us?'' Judai asks, taunting the villain to Alicia's concern.
''Seriously?'' Alicia questions him with Shadow scoffing.
''You think I'm a giant? This is just my puppet.'' Sasori corrects the fool with a cold gaze. ''Do not insult my art.''
''Puppet? Art?'' Judai mutters out, now really uneasy. ''You sure that's an art.''
Sasori growls as his tail launches upward and simply swings it, firing multiple needles from hidden departments from the tail.
Alicia panics about to dash forward but Judai reacts, already activating his Duel Disk and summoning his ace hero. ''Come out, Elemental HERO Neos!''
Neos panics and releases a pulse of neo energy across his body, repelling the needles all at once.
This shocks Sasori as he thrusts his massive tail at them but immediately gets caught by Shadow, using Shadow Guard, and then karate chops the tail while engulfed in Chaos Energy, tearing right through it.
''Impossible!'' Sasori utters as he fires more needles from his mouth. Shadow uses his Chaos Energy as a wave to drop all of the needles.
''Wrath of Neos!'' Judai commands Neos who charges forward and Shadow follows beside him with Spin Dash. Sasori doesn't have time to react as both of them unleash their attacks and hit him directly, destroying through the puppet.
Alicia sweat drops, pretty sure she could have done that but she isn't complaining much.
Shadow dashes back to the others, commentating unimpressed. ''Some puppet.''
''That's why it's my shell.'' A voice corrects him as a figure emerges from the wreckage. Neos prepares to attack but then energy threads try to catch him until he moves away from them.
''Oh well…'' Tossing the shreds of his puppet away, Sasori announces fully revealing himself. He looks like a young teenager with grayish brown eyes and short, messy red hair, wearing his Akatsuki cloak.
Shadow glares as do Judai while Alicia actually blinks. This is their enemy? He's just a kid.
''Huh? Wasn't expecting someone so young.'' Alicia asks, surprised. Judai, however, protests as he informs her. ''That's because his body isn't real.''
Alicia blinks not following. Sasori oddly smirks, uttering out rather impressed. ''You notice? Interesting.''
He reaches into his Akatsuki robes and pulls out a scroll.
''This will result into my final, finest art then.'' Sasori begins to proclaim but then he asks, a bit curious. ''But before we continue, do any of you know a Konoha Med Kunouchi?''
''Sadly.'' Judai responds with an upset voice. Alicia sweat drops at Judai's response, almost like he's annoyed towards Sakura.
''Did she use the information I gave her?'' Sasori asks them with Judai answering him. ''Yea but she failed in her mission but that Orochimaru guy is gone.''
Sasori smirks, confirming his suspicions. At the least the snake is dead like he should.
''That's good news then.'' He just says, opening up his scroll and smoke comes out. Emerging out is a new puppet with its own robes and Alicia could have sworn that the puppet looks rather human regardless of its human-like appearance. Like not looking like a puppet but almost looks like it used to be- No.
Even Judai sweats in horror, his orange-green dual colored eyes glowing to confirm that this ''puppet'' used to be human. Sasori sees their faces and smiles as he reveals to them, attaching his Chakra Threads into it. ''This is a reformed Third Kazekage, my favorite puppet.''
Shadow, the most calm among the others, glares firmly that this former human has turned this dead human body into his puppet weapon.
''Seems I owe much for the Dark Lord.'' Sasori comments to the group's surprise with Shadow questioning him. ''Come again.''
''Doesn't matter now. You all won't live the tale.'' Sasori then tells him as he begins controlling his puppet as it comes charging towards them and fast. Neos responds fast, dashing right at the puppet with a punch but the puppet opens up its mouth, breathing strange black-like sand. The sand swirls around and blocks the hero's fist.
The puppet soon swings his arm into a blade at Neos but he dashes away. Sasori smirks as he commands his puppet by moving his fingers. ''IRON SAND DRIZZLE!''
The black sand quickly reforms into thousands of sharp needles before shooting forward towards the group. Judai quickly summons Elemental HERO Clayman and crosses his arms. Clayman blocks through the multiple, extending fist at the price of his body cracking.
Shadow leaps over the bulky clay humanoid, shouting as he swings his right arm towards Sasori. ''CHAOS SPEAR!''
He fires multiple golden spears of energy. Sasori flicks his fingers forward as he commands. ''IRON SAND GATHERING ASSAULT!''
More black sand leaks out across the puppet now moving towards Shadow's attack and reshapes the floating black sand into different, massive and solid shapes. The golden spears hit the large constructed shapes and block them.
''What?'' Shadows utters out in shock. Sasori smirks, flicking his index finger as the puppet commands the shapes to launch forward right towards the group.
Alicia steps forward only for Judai to move up in front, drawing a card and shouts. ''Clayman, fuse with Burstinatrix!''
He fuses his summoned Burstinatrix with Clayman as Judai calls forth. ''Go, Rampart Blaster!''
Appearing in their place is their fusion form. Judai then shouts, pointing forward. ''Rampart Shot!''
Rampart Blaster fires her missiles from its blaster, hitting the shapes head on. They shatter on impact somewhat.
Alicia watches sweat dropping as she's not doing anything in this fight.
''You know I can help fight this guy?'' Alicia questions Judai who answers her with a smirk. ''Just testing the waters what this guy can do.''
''… Fair.'' Alicia says, hesitating with her words that it still doesn't make any sense to her. Judai just smiles as he summons Neo-Spacian Glow Moss and calls forth as both Glow Moss and Neo perform their Contact Fusion. ''Come out, Glow Neos!''
Emerging is the merged Neos with Glow Moss' power, throwing a glowing spear of energy at the puppet. Sasori twirls his fingers as the puppet dodges the spear but not Shadow coming down from below with a Chaos Fist. However, Sasori reacts to this and the puppet manifests a blade of black sand around its arm, thrusting it at Shadow. The black hedgehog just moves out of the way but manages to get himself cut by the blade.
Smirking, Sasori suddenly says. "You got sloppy.''
Shadow doesn't follow until he feels a gasping pain. He suddenly drops to a knee to Judai and Alicia's shock. ''Shadow!''
The black hedgehog breathes as he realizes what's happening to him. ''Poison?''
''That's right.'' Sasori confirms it, eyeing the black sand of the Third Kazekage which he had coated with his dangerous poison. He smiles confidently as he begins to say. ''I wonder how long you'll-''
Shadow oddly cracks a smirk to Sasori's confusion. Just then the black hedgehog stands back up, almost unfazed by the poison's confusion. Shadow then dashes so fast at Sasori, performing a Spin Dash. Sasori panics and moves his puppet, forming a black sand barrier. Shadow still charges, slamming himself onto the wall and cracks through and hits the puppet, managing to protect Sasori. The hit cracks most of the puppet but not enough to shatter it, instead pushing it along with Sasori onto the ground.
Shadow scoffs, his scratch instantly recovered, as he reveals to his foolish opponent. ''A shame I am the Ultimate Lifeform. Poisoning me is futile and useless on me!''
Standing up, Sasori actually starts to chuckle to Shadow's annoyance.
''Really?'' He questions the so-called Ultimate Lifeform. He holds up his hands together and soon declares. ''Then survive this. IRON SAND WORLD METHOD!''
The puppet of the Third Kazekage begins releasing even more black sand, so much that the very sand begins to reshape and expands, becoming tree-like branches that multiply right towards the group. They spread towards Shadow, just dodging back to the group as Judai has Rampart Blaster to protect them. But the branches pierce through the hero, destroying her and then a multi-scale attack all comes towards the three, hitting directly.
Is this the end for our group?
Commercial Break:
Alicia: Guys, I feel like we're underpowered.
Shadow scoffs: Like hell. I can beat this rubber doll into pieces.
Sasori watches, seeing his work covering the area in his attack. He smiles, looking forward to making new puppets, especially a rat. That one will be the most interesting.
"To appreciate my art…'' He begins to say until suddenly a burst of blue flames erupts from up ahead, burning the sand branches that hit the group of children. This shocks Sasori, uttering out in dismay. ''What? How?''
The flames swirl around, revealing the three heroes including Glow Neos untouched with Alicia protecting them all. She smiles, having entered her Valkyria mode as her red eyes glow determinedly.
''Valkyria, simple as much.'' Alicia tells him, lowering the shield. Shadow scoffs, no doubt able to repel the branches with Chaos Blast but he probably best he didn't. He eyes Alicia and warns her. "Careful not getting hit by that sand.''
Alicia nods, thanking him. ''Thank you.''
She eyes Judai and asks him. ''Ready?''
Judai gives her the thumbs up. Alicia smirks before taking on a serious face and charges forward. Shadow follows suit as Judai commands. ''Go, Glow Neos!''
Glow Neos forms another plasma-like energy spear.
''Lightning Strike!'' Judai commands as his hero throws the spear. Sasori counters it with the black sand, taking on the shape of a wall to stop it.
However, this gave Alicia the chance to charge in faster, thrusting her lance at him directly but Sasori's puppet lifts him by his strings, pulling him upward and evading the attack. Sasori sees Shadow about to use Chaos Spear so he shouts, forming a hand seal. ''IRON SAND: BLACK IRON WINGS!''
The black sand manifests onto the puppet's back, taking on into the forms of black wings. It begins flying with Sasori on its back, evading Shadow's attacks. The puppet soon shoots needles from the wings at the group but Alicia puts up her shield and repels them with a repulse of blue fiery aura, sending them flying away.
''Guard all you want. It's pointless.'' Sasori tells their attempts to even fight him. Judai, however, smirks as Glow Neos separates back to Neos and Glow Moss.
''You sure about that?'' Judai questions him, summoning Neo-Spacian Dark Panther as he then calls out. ''Dark Panther, Neos! Contact Fusion!''
Both Neos and Dark Panther fly up and begin to Contact Fuse too.
''Show yourself, Elemental HERO Dark Neos!'' Judai calls forth as Dark Neos emerges, flapping his bat-like wings. The hero flies right at Sasori and his puppet as it flies away from the monster. The two engage in airborne maneuver, clashing sharp black sand blades and Dark Neos' claws. Sparks fly out from their clashes as Judai shouts, pointing up. ''Go! Wrath of Dark Neos!''
Dark Neos releases dark swirls of energy from his wings. The puppet evades the attacks with ease till it hits one of the wings. Sasori just smirks as the wing begins to self-repair but this is to slow it down, giving Alicia the sniper position to hit it.
''BLUE FLAME!'' Alicia shouts, firing an intense burst of blue flame blast right at Sasori and its puppet. This shocks the puppeteer, uttering out in dismay. ''A long range attack?!''
He barely has time to react as the blue fiery blast hits half of the puppet's body, melting and destroying it in less than a second. The puppet soon descends rapidly with Sasori barely able to control the landing.
''How can-'' Sasori begins to say, not believing this but his worries aren't done as Shadow suddenly teleports in front of him with a firm scowl. He extends back his right fist, engulfed in energy as he shouts, swinging it forward. ''CHAOS FIST!''
Sasori just watches as the punch hits across his upper chest and literally sends him flying off his puppet right into a row of trees. Alicia sweat drops heavily as Shadow then fires a Chaos Spear below him, destroying the puppet into pieces.
''OVERKILLED SHADOW!'' Alicia shouts at the black hedgehog who teleports and reappears beside her with a look. Judai shakes his head, correcting her. ''No, he made a good hit though…''
''Huh?'' Alicia begins to utter, not following until she sees movement from the trees that fell on top of their enemy. Soon lit up in flames, Sasori emerges without his cloak and Alicia quickly widens her eyes at the scene of things.
The man they have been fighting is actually a puppet. Sasori's puppet body consists of a pair of spinning claws attached to his lower back, a holder for four scrolls on his back, a stinger in the empty and open stomach cavity, a compartment in his right chest, and a 'core of living flesh' in the left which had the kanji for "scorpion" painted on it. The most disturbing way is that Sasori's eyes are wide open in a maniacal way, as opposed to his normal calm looking eyes.
''His body…'' Alicia begins to say, gulping uneased with Judai revealing his suspicions. ''He's a puppet too.''
Shadow scoffs, really unimpressed.
Sasori looks at them with such a disturbing gaze as he raises his right hand forward.
''How troublesome…'' He begins to say as his fingernails literally open up and shoot out multiple Chakra threads at the group. Alicia quickly protects them except Shadow, getting caught up.
''Shadow!'' Judai shouts out. Shadow grunts, losing the will to move on his own.
''I need replacement puppets.'' Sasori begins to tell them with his murderous, unemotional face. ''You will do.''
Shadow grunts as his eyes glow red, uttering out. ''Tough luck…''
Shadow triggers Chaos Boost and dissolves the Chakra Threads across his body, freeing himself. Sasori scoffs as he then pulls out a scroll from behind him, declaring. ''Then how about this…''
He tosses the scroll upward, forming a hand seal.
''Red Secret Technique…'' Sasori begins to chant as the scroll becomes a large wide smokescreen. The three watch as they soon stare in absolute shock at the massive army of puppets surrounding Sasori. ''PERFORMANCE OF A HUNDRED PUPPETS!''
There are about 100 puppets, all of them different and wielding different weapons but all wear red robes. The scrolls behind Sasori open up and release more than a hundred Chakra Threads, attaching themselves to the puppets. All of them are under his control.
''Immortal life, my puppets and my marking of this world; is true art.'' Sasori begins to say as his arms release blades from his forearms. ''Life is pathetic and worth not living for. And now you will learn this art and become it.''
Judai and Alicia stare firmly with Shadow scoffing angrily.
''… Life isn't immortal.'' Shadow begins to protest, gazing up at the man who chose to become a puppet. He's reminded of Maria and her desire to be standing on the Earth but at least appreciated the beauty of the world from up in the arc.
''Real art is what we see with our eyes and the fleeting images before our life ends.'' Shadow tells the insane puppet man off, pointing his finger at him.
Sasori looks down at this furball and is about to say something until Alicia speaks out honestly. ''I also feel the same with your words.''
Shadow turns, looking at the Valkyria. She's seen plenty of death and tried to do something about it with her baking. Even with these powers, the only real reason she fights hasn't changed.
''Life is fleeting and it's up to us, using these powers to protect that life.'' Alicia begins to express, believing in her potential to fight. ''If I can do that, then it's worth it!''
This upsets Sasori, arguing towards them. ''Why? Life like this will rot and die!''
''Guess it's because we like the world the way it is.'' Judai then speaks up, walking up beside his friends as he summons Elemental HERO Ocean and Woodsman.
''Life is not meant to last forever. It's up to us to make sure these memories and love of life don't rot away.'' Judai proclaims, believing in that ideal from his own experience and of a friend. He then smirks confidently, adding determinedly. ''That's why we won't give up!''
He then draws his top card, being Polymerization, and uses it to merge his two heroes.
''Come out, Elemental HERO Terra Firma!'' Judai calls forth as Terra Firma appears beside Dark Neos. The HERO duelist snickers, rubbing the bottom of his nose, as he declares. ''Let's go!''
He charges with his monsters as well as Alicia and Shadow beside him.
Sasori glares annoyed as he commands his hundred puppets, launching them all forward as the long range ones firing their machine gun kunais. Dark Neos intercepts them with its claws as the close range puppets come at them. Judai dodges around the blade swings as Shadow bashes his fists and kicks on them and Alicia pierces or slashes most of them coming at her.
''The Earth Magma!'' Judai then commands as Terra Firma absorbs Dark Neos and gains its power, releasing a barrage of magma punches, blasting the multiple puppets with ease.
Sasori glares, coming at them with his blades but Alicia blocks them with her shield as Shadow uses Chaos Snap to deliver a barrage of punches and kicks, smacking him but it doesn't faze him. Sasori snaps and shouts, holding his arms forward. ''Die!''
He fires waves of flames from his wrists. Shadow teleports behind Alicia who guards everyone with her shield, blocking the flames. Judai then commands his hero monster. ''Earth Magma Slash!''
Terra Firma pulls out his fiery blades and comes at Sasori, swinging them in a twirling spin movement. Sasori tries to repel his flames but they don't work. He then tries countering his swords with his wrist blades but they melt on the clash. This causes Sasori to move multiple puppets in his way, pushing him away as Terra Firma's attack destroys those puppets.
Sasori glares swirling all of his remaining puppets to attack them but Shadow uses Chaos Snap to kick Sasori across the face in an instant, sending him flying. However, the puppets come down at Shadow who crosses his arms. Swirls of red energy wrap around Shadow as he shouts, uncrossing his arms and spreading them. ''CHAOS BLAST!''
He releases a red blast of Chaos energy, consuming and destroying all of the puppets in one blast.
Sasori gets enraged as Alicia comes in charge. She thrusts her lance but Sasori leaps over her and unleashes his flamethrowers at her. She defends with her shield, blocking the flames.
''You just don't quit, girl!'' Sasori shouts, holding a blade from one of his puppets and swings down at her. Alicia sees it coming and easily bashes her shield, cracking the swinging weapon into pieces. This stunts Sasori as Alicia swings her lance and strikes his chest, sending him flying backwards.
Taking aim with her lance, Alicia utters out rather sad. ''Sorry.''
The tip of blue swirls form around her lance before she shouts out. ''BLUE FLAME!''
She ignites blue flames and fires forward as an intense current. Sasori, for once, didn't have time to react and push his heart into another puppet body. Instead he stares at the rather majestic flames coming towards him and can't help but be mesmerized by its beauty.
''So this is how others view art?'' Sasori questions, embracing the art coming at him and consumes him instantly. It burns and vaporizes him entirely, incinerating him.
Alicia watches and smiles weakly before she drops on her knee. This alarms Judai and Shadow as they rush over.
''Alicia-chan!'' Judai shouts, reaching and holding her by the shoulder. Alicia just breathes deeply not of exhaustion but something else. Judai checks on her and he notices that Alicia's leg and arms were scratched, likely from the branch attack from before. Breathing deeply, Alicia just tells him with a small smirk. ''I-I'm fine…''
Shadow looks at her and uses his Chaos powers to detect her condition and then tells Judai. ''She'll be fine. Her powers are burning the poison.''
Judai blinks, now actually a bit impressed Shadow can do something that cool. Alicia just smiles as she asks the two. ''Let me rest a bit.''
Judai smiles, nodding to her wishes. He looks towards Shadow and tells him with a small smirk. ''Teamwork was a good thing, no?''
Shadow just scoffs, turning his back to them but not leaving. Judai just snickers happily.
Elsewhere, Kurosaki slashes blades against Kisame who grins. The two's large swords clash, sparks flying out from their sword parries as Sonic Spin Dashes at Kisame's back and then pulls backwards, U-turns towards Kisame's side and slams onto him again all within the same second. It pushes Kisame back, sliding backwards but grins.
Ichigo glares annoyed as he asks the blue hedgehog. ''This guy is a fish man?''
''Yea! Neat, right?'' Sonic replies with a grin. Kurosaki sweat drops, immediately protesting. ''Not neat!''
Kisame just chuckles at their bickering and then taunts them. ''What's wrong? Don't wish to fight me?''
Kurosaki and Sonic turn to face him as the orange-haired young man calls him out. ''Hardly. I don't intend to lose to those who hurt others!''
Kisame snickers again and says with a grin, wanting to challenge the boy's swordsmanship. ''Interesting. Then let us see which one of us is-''
''You mean the two of us!'' Sonic protests with a grin, pointing his finger at the fish man.
''Three makes a crowd.'' Kisame proclaims, clapping his hands together and announces, inflating his shut mouth. ''WATER RELEASE: EXPLODING WATER COLLIDING WAVE!''
Kisame immediately releases a surge of water from his mouth, blasting it out of him like an ocean wave.
Kurosaki leaps away fast upward as Sonic dashes away as the wave hits everything and drowns this part of the forest into a small pond. Even the trees are underwater with just treetops over the water. Sonic sighs, standing on top of those tree tops.
''Ah great! WATER!'' Sonic complains, really hating this situation. Kurosaki lands beside him with a look of surprise and he realizes that the blue hedgehog can't swim or handle water for a long time. Though, he does ask him. ''Can't you run around it?!''
Sonic blinks and he slowly grins, replying. ''I can do better!''
He taps his shoes on the ends of his shoes. They suddenly glow and change into a different similar pair of sneakers, resembling Shadow's.
Stretching, Sonic jumps over and stands over the water thanks to the bottoms of his shoes hovering over the water. He chuckles, muttering out thankfulness. ''Thank you, Tails.''
Suddenly shooting out of the water is Kisame, landing on the surface of the water with his Chakra.
''Ah so the hedgehog can't swim. As expected.'' Kisame says with a smirk, overhearing their small conversation. He then slams his free hand over the surface of the water, shouting. ''SUMMONING TECHNIQUE!''
Smoke covers the area and just then, swimming very fast, a shark emerges from the water trying to bite at the blue hedgehog but the shark is just kicked on the side by Sonic, having moved a second after it surfaced. The shark is flied back to Kisame as it crashes behind him, turning into smoke
''Ah great, sharks too! You shouldn't have.'' Sonic says with a grin. He soon dashes towards him. Just then multiple sharks emerge, surrounding the running blue hedgehog but much like last time, Sonic uses his insane speed to blitz them within a second. All of the sharks are sent flying as Sonic dashes right to Kisame still smirking and the blue hedgehog uses a Spin Dash, hitting him directly. However Kisame suddenly turns into smoke to Sonic's confusion as he lands on the water.
''A clone?'' He questions but before he has time to react, an arm suddenly grabs his leg under the water. Sonic panics as Kisame's voice under the water shouts. ''WATER PRISON TECHNIQUE!''
His hand releases Sonic for a brief second before the blue hedgehog is consumed in water, forming into a round sphere. Kurosaki panics, flying forward but Kisame emerges and swings his sword, causing the orange hair to back away.
Sonic grunts, trying to move but he can't.
''C-can't… move…'' Sonic tells himself mentally, really hating this.
Kisame smirks at Kurosaki, gripping the handle of his Samehada as he proclaims eagerly. ''Now just the swordsmen to play.''
Kurosaki glares, holding Zangetsu forward. The two stare down at each other before Kurosaki comes charging first. He swings his sword at Kisame who easily repels and blocks. The two deadlock as Kisame pushes forward and swings at him. Kurosaki responds, the two once more clashing with swift sword swings.
Sonic watches unable to do anything but to watch.
Kisame slides backwards from a quick swing from Kurosaki as he holds up his hand in a hand seal as he holds his breath, cheeks inhale.
''WATER RELEASE: WATER SHARK BULLET TECHNIQUE!'' Kisame shouts, creating a water-shaped attack, acting like a shark, as it dashes right towards Kurosaki. Ichigo simply holds Zangetsu on his side and shouts as the Zanpakuto engulfs in blue energy. ''GETSUGA TENSHO!''
He fires his blue energy wave slash, striking and seemingly connecting until the water shark explodes and shoots out multiple sharks around Ichigo's attack and hits him directly. Ichigo yells out as the water sharks bite onto him, pinning him in place.
Kisame smirks to see this as he forms a single-handed hand seal.
''So long.'' He proclaims as multiple water clones manifest out of the water. Ichigo watches, not liking this.
''WATER RELEASE: WATER BULLET TECHNIQUE!'' Kisame shouts as he and his clones all unleash a blast of water from their mouths, compressed like power torrent hoses, coming directly to Ichigo. The Substitute Shinigami watches as the attacks prepare to consume him.
The fights intensified but will Team Dragon Knight fully prevail against the Akatsuki?

Author's Note: Well… it has been said Shadow is the Ultimate Lifeform as well as Immortal since his body system resists any viruses or diseases (which was the reason why he was created to figure out a cure for Maria's disease). So, after A LOT OF RESEARCH and lore thinking, Shadow should and would be unaffected by Sasori's poison for sure. Also, Alicia since her Valkyria powers grants her regeneration (ask the bullet wound she got in the series proper or stabbed across the chest in Volume 4), she too would resist poison and damage for a while.
I had fun with this fight.
Also as much as most people don't like or find Kabuto's change of character was for the rest of Naruto into becoming more like Orochimaru, I allowed it because yea but I will make some changes and of course getting the idea to ''evolve'' thanks to Ichigo since she ''evolved'' too.
Next time more Akatsuki battles.
