I don't own twilight. What I own is my character's behavior, personality, background, and plot of my story.
Author's Note at the end
Edward speeds down the road of rural Illinois. If someone had told him that this is where Eleazar likes to relax, he would have laughed in their faces, but here he is in this rural town. He looks to his right and finds Tanya dosing off, so he shakes her since they are five minutes away from reaching their distinction.
"What," she moans sleepily and he replies, "We are almost there." She nods her head as she rubs her eyes, and finishes straightening up right as he parks in the parking lot. He gets out and goes around to open the door for Tanya, and as he presses the lock key on the car's key chain, he hears the sound of a car spreading in their direction. He turns around and finds a Mercedes pulling into the parking lot. Jacob steps out of the car and goes around to open the door and then Bella steps out of the car.
With their long coats, they look like a couple from a Ralph Lauren commercial as they unbuckle Cece then walk toward them. Tanya claps her hands excitedly and hugs both of them.
Jacob gives him a one-armed hug, and Bella hugs him briefly and whispers, "smile. One might think you don't want to see us." Then he feels an adorable ball of energy barrel into his legs. He bends forward and picks her up.
"Eddie!" she exclaims as she hugs him enthusiastically.
"Cece! I missed you," he tells her as he spins her around. He puts her down and after some chit-chat, they go separate ways. Edward trudges the luggage up the stairs with Tanya climbing them beside him. She offered to help him carry them, but of course, he declined.
Once inside their room he turns towards her and asks, " Why were Marco and Bella invited? Doesn't your dad know that you don't like Bella?"
"He didn't invite them. I did," she tells him as she zips open her suitcase and starts taking things out of it.
"What why? Don't you hate her?" Edward says shocked. He doesn't understand. The last time they talked about her Tanya made it clear that she despises her and wholeheartedly believes that Eleazar and her had an affair. Since then she has gone out of her way to make sure to not run into her inside or outside of the office.
"What does that have to do with inviting her?" she asks rhetorically.
"What is that supposed to even mean Tanya? We are here to have fun. We don't have fun with people we hate," gesturing flailing his hands around and explaining to her slowly the way you would explain things to a child.
"Who said that this weekend is about having fun," she tells him then picks a towel and her toiletries and enters the bathroom but not before telling him, "we will be having lunch in an hour. Be ready then."
She leaves Edward in the room stewing in his thoughts alone. His imagination takes him in different directions, from Tanya fighting Bella in front of everyone to running after her with a knife, his imagination runs wild.
He briefly considered her harming Cece, but dismisses that thought quickly. Tanya could do many things, but she is above harming children.
Right?
He finally decides to confront her after she is done with her shower and put an end to any plan she had in mind. He doesn't need the drama. Too many people in this house know that he dated Bella. All that is needed is someone deciding to say the wrong thing for everything to be ruined. He is not going to let her add more tension when he is already feeling tense.
He starts pulling his clothes out of his suitcase and hanging them in the closet. Then he takes his case file out of the suitcase and places it in the drawer of the nightstand. Once done, he starts scrolling through his mobile phone until Tanya comes out of the bathroom in a towel.
"What are you planning?" he asks her.
"What?" she asks him as she dries her hair with a towel.
He gets off the bed and walks towards her then tells her, " whatever you are up to, don't. Don't mess up this weekend with a plan of yours. Find evidence then confront them, but don't act stupid."
"You are being dramatic," she tells him rolling her eyes not taking his warning seriously.
"Tanya I am dead serious. Don't do anything stupid. If you," he is cut off by a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" he asks loudly irritated that his talk with Tanya got interrupted.
"It's me, Eddie. Can I come in," comes Cece's voice. He feels torn between going to Cece and continuing his talk with Tanya.
"No no sweetie. Wait for me and I will come out," he tells her, his need to join Cece winning over dealing with Tanya.
"Don't," he tells Tanya for the last time before he turns his back to her and leaves the room.
Hey lovely people,
I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter. Some of you mentioned in your reviews over the last couple of chapters that the story is confusing, specifically Bella's relationship; with Edward in the past and her current with Jacob/Marco. It could be that some of you forgot some details and need to go back to read older chapters, but honestly, this confusion is intentional on my part.
I know some writers like to sum up the entire life of a character in the first chapter or two, but this is not my thing. I prefer stories in which the details gradually unfold as you read them, and I write stories I would wanna read.
Also, the genres of this story are drama and MYSTERY. That means that things will be confusing, and they won't make a lot of sense early on. Plus, being surprised is far more fun than finding everything from the get-go.
Some of you have been posting really interesting theories, I especially loved the FBI one. Keep leaving me your theories and thoughts in the review section.
Until my next update,
Stay Safe.
