Hello to all! This is Episode 59 of the arc: The Pursuit!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 5: Episode 59: The Dark Knight's Path! Part 1!
In the previous episode of DKR:
While Sasuke survived Deidara's explosion with a little help and nearly everyone arrived at the explosion site, Yugi and Mew Ichigo confronted Itachi once more. This time, however, the duo easily handled the Uchiha and would have been an easy win if Yugi didn't stop, watching Itachi struggling with his decaying health. After the Mew Mew healed him, Itachi would reveal his real self and shocked the cat girl while Yugi was right about him. Before he can ask him more about Kojan and what happened, their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Pain.
Bidding his final farewell to Yugi and putting his trust to help Kojan, Itachi left. Now facing the so-called god and leader of the Akatsuki, Yugi confronted Pain and each one of his Six Paths while Mew Ichigo was intercepted by Konan, not letting anyone else interrupt the fight. Yugi began to struggle by Pain's different abilities and after his energy was nearly drained and survived, Pain was more than he wanted. Snapping out of terror, Mew Ichigo went berserk and tried to fight Pain until Kojan appeared.
Demanding where Madara Uchiha is, Kojan engaged the Six Paths of Pain and Konan, killing each one of them with no regard for his actions. However, they were all fakes to Kojan's annoyance. Yugi tried reaching out to him but Kojan had none of that, causing Mew Ichigo to call him out furiously. Kojan ignored him, still enraged that Yugi was still playing ''hero''.
What is Kojan's aim? What will happen next?
And now the conclusion... last left off in the previous episode:
Rain, endless rain pouring down in a village protected by their God. In the Village Hidden in the Rain, the Rain Village; is rooms underground the rebuild, ominous buildings. In one of those rooms are rows of stasis tubes and within them is each Pain and Konan. Waking up, Konan opens her eyes as the tube opens up. She breathes heavily, pulling herself out of the tube. She sweats, touching her forehead, not having felt such terror. She turns to her side to see a figure in the corner, breathing deeply.
She gets off the tube and approaches him. He has long red hair and pale skin, shirtless but his body so weak showing his bare bones. He has his arms and bottom body strapped in mechanical devices with black rods sticking out on his back.
''Forgive me, Nagato. I-'' Konan, upset towards herself, begins to apologize the one that is the true Pain but Nagato shakes his head softly, telling her just as upset. ''It is not your fault, Konan. The child, I underestimated him.''
Nagato is no fool to say that another Dragon Knight, the Uchiha, is far more than the fake Six Paths of Pain.
''Even with the Shapeshifting Technique along with the Dark Lord's power gave our copies 70% of our power instead of the 30%, that child still...'' Nagato begins to say until he suddenly groans in agony, gasping out blood from his mouth and nose.
''Nagato!'' Konan utters out in alarm. Nagato still groans, calming down as he utters out, sweating. ''T-the toll with these abilities are t-too much for my body.''
If he uses that Jutsu with the Dark Lord's help again, it will likely shorten his life more.
''Though, it does have its benefits.'' Konan staggers as she turns around and appearing out of thin air is Tobi… or rather ''Madara'' Uchiha.
''Madara…'' Nagato mutters out, wondering when he would appear. The masked man chuckles rather cocky as he asks him. ''See you met Kojan-kun, Nagato.''
Nagato glares calmly as ''Madara'' then says as his Sharingan eye from his eyehole gleams with delight. ''Interesting kid, no?''
''And you never told us of him till now? Why?'' Konan questions him, calmly yet clearly upset. ''Madara'' looks at her and simply tells her. ''Thought he died.''
Underneath his mask, Obito can't help but be amazed he's alive after what he did to him. He was right to think he didn't die; a benefit for him.
''Funny how fate finds ways to make this existence more tolerable.'' The masked man expresses with his arms extended to his sides, actually happy. Nagato looks at him suspicious of him but he ignores it, asking him. ''What should we do with him, leader?''
''Madara'' turns around and simply orders him firmly. ''I'll deal with him later. For now we have a few more Jinchuriki to hunt down.''
''As you command.'' Nagato responds, obeying him regardless of his suspicions. Konan, though, is hesitant but she will trust Nagato.
''Besides, I still have to deal with Jiraiya-Sensei.'' Nagato utters out, able to sense with his Rain Jutsu that Jiraiya has entered the Rain Village. He faces Konan and orders her. ''Konan, prepare the field.''
''… Yes, Nagato.'' Konan proclaims, not going to fail him. ''Madara'' turns his back as he begins walking away.
''Now then…'' He begins to say as his Sharingan eye glows, wishing to meet the fools that will one day oppose him… Most of all, meet the Dragon Knight.
''Time for the name of Madara Uchiha to resurrect.'' He proclaims, determined to commence the plans to his dream world.
Trying his best to not show signs of slowing down or struggling, Itachi arrives at the location. Waiting for his partner, Kisame turns as he grins to see him still alive.
"See you handle yourself without me.'' Itachi says calmly while Kisame teases him with a smirk. ''Likewise.''
Just then the two feel a sensation, aware Pain is calling for a meeting.
''Seems leader wants to talk to us. Shall we?'' Kisame asks his partner, with Itachi nodding. He suddenly staggers by a sensation across his body but ignores it. But Kisame does notice it, after all; he knows.
''Kisame.'' Itachi begins to say, doing his best to not show any signs of fragility. ''You behave when I'm no longer around.''
Kisame looks at him with a firm face before smirking and tells him. ''I'll try my best, Itachi. No promises.''
Itachi doesn't say much as he forms a Shadow Clone and it dashes away.
''And that clone?'' Kisame asks him. No comment as Itachi walks ahead, going to reach the meeting before he confronts Sasuke. Kisame watches him leave and smirks, allowing it. After all, this is the last time he'll be with Itachi. Best he enjoys all the time he has with him.
Just the two of them, Yugi breathes drained after what just happened. Mew Ichigo, feeling like her normal self, approaches the dead bodies of the Akatsuki and blinks as their faces and bodies are not of the ones they fought. Maybe some crazy technique.
''Guess they were fake Nya.'' Ichigo says, surprised that they were not the real deal. Yugi walks up behind her, examining the dead people and yet he knows what he sensed back then.
''No, Pain and his paths are all hollow shells under the one controlling them. Like... a puppeteer.'' Yugi explains, still sensing the same aura on all the bodies as if they are all possessed by the same being. He knows that… that…
Yugi suddenly can't think as he drops hard on his knees, his Burst Limit reverted back to his normal form.
''Yugi-kun!'' Mew Ichigo cries out in worry, kneeling down to check on him. She can feel he's still badly shaken up. She prepares to heal him but Yugi protests, trying to stand up.
''I-I'm okay…'' He utters out, shaken by his voice as he needs to worry about Kojan. ''I-I can't let this beat me. I will reach Kojan-kun… before he does something unforgivable.''
Mew Ichigo looks at him; amazed at how strong he is in wanting to help Kojan but also how much he's suffering due to this.
''Yugi-kun…'' Ichigo tells herself, saddened and helpless that she can't do anything for him.
Yugi, however, frowns not just for his inability to reach Kojan but also for his conversation he had with his sister before he left.
Yugi went to see his sister as he left Skitty with her. Riolu really wanted to come, sensing Yugi's aura but Yugi did his best to not let him come along and behave himself.
''You're going to see him…'' Frowning really sad, Jenny asked him; certain Yugi was off to confront Kojan. Yugi frowned a bit, thinking emptily before he answered her. ''Kojan-kun is my friend. I need to reach him out.''
Jenny stared at him, silent to what she should say. She cannot help but still recall what Kojan told her and it scared her; she doesn't want to lose her brother either. She… she doesn't want to have no one.
Yugi bid his farewell, promising to come back for dinner but before he reached the door in a hurry; Jenny finally spoke up. ''… I don't want you to risk your life anymore.''
Staggered, Yugi turned around with a look of confusion. Jenny stared at him seriously, lecturing him mad. ''You have a future! You have a life. Don't put it all in risk by pretending of being a hero!''
Yugi stared at her, taken back, not sure how to feel. Why would she start saying such a thing when she could have a long time ago? He thought Jenny was proud of what he was doing.
Breathing deeply, Jenny resumed lecturing him of his actions like a concerned sister. ''You've almost died before, you fight foes that become harder and harder to beat and Kojan might want to kill you. You're just a child, my kid brother. You have to stop thinking about others and worry about yourself!''
Frowning and saddened, she then asked him with a look of dread. ''At least… Think of me and Jiji-chan. Think about us, your family. I want you save and happy.''
''… I am thinking about my family.'' Yugi finally spoke up, telling her as his heart beats passionately while thinking of everyone. ''You, Jiji, Ichigo-kun, my friends! You're all my family! And others have families and love ones! What am I supposed to do when someone die and they can't go back to their loved ones! If I'm not the Dragon Knight, the Dark Lord-''
Immediately, as much as his words are true, Jenny protested and reminded him upsetly like never before. ''There's that Soul Society, those ninjas, the alchemists, the Mew Mews, the Sailor Scouts… There is a wizard with ring magic powers! STOP ENDANGERING YOUR LIFE!''
Jenny began to breathe heavily by her scream, shock she even held in such raw emotion. She looked at Yugi with a look of shock as she said with a sad face. ''We both know Jiji doesn't have long and you're the only family I have left. Please. Think for once in your life and see what is more important.''
''…'' Yugi is silent, looking away even though he didn't want to. She was not wrong and he would think about his future… but his life changed; and it changed on that night he made his wish.
Biting his lip slightly to disobey her pleas, Yugi shook his head responding. ''I can't walk away. I promised him.''
Frowning, Jenny asked him. ''For our father?''
''For Atem too.'' Yugi then clarified it as the spirit of the Pharaoh manifested in spirit form, startled slightly.
Smiling as he thought back, Yugi recalled the words Atem gave him before he left for the next world. Not only that but Yugi thought back about all Atem did for the future by giving up his own life. He does want his sacrifice to be in vain. He owed him that.
''I promised I would protect and make sure the world he fought for kept living. To make sure the light of the world and humanity will not die out.'' Yugi revealed to his sister who was left speechless.
That was why Yugi began to grow; to become strong but keep his kindness to make sure the world Atem left will always remain; filled with hope and light; of righteousness and fairness; for everyone.
Clenching his hands, Yugi now expressed passionately. ''I want to protect it! I want to keep my promise! I-''
Hearing enough, Jenny reached out and grabbed Yugi by his shoulders. He looked puzzled as she told him. ''You don't owe him anything. You did everything for him. He-''
Shaking his head, Yugi argued as he also revealed. ''He's like a brother to me, an older brother! He's always been there for me when I was alone, guiding me and pushing me to have courage and strength.''
Jenny is left silent, looking down almost defeated. He was right; he was alone for so long while she was away, forced to by a bad system and unable to be with family. She thought that she would have the time to be the sister that would always be there for her little brother but she wasn't; she was a failure.
Looking down to see the Millennium Puzzle around his deck, Yugi smiled softly as he expressed happily yet somberly. ''That's why I'm happy he's with me again at least for now. I want him to know I can keep these promises.''
''I see...'' Jenny simply uttered out. Trying to put up a strong face rather than let her sadness get to her, Jenny apologized to him. ''Sorry. I won't ask you again. Just don't…''
Trying to smile rather than to break down, Jenny asked her brother. ''Don't die.''
Yugi stared at her and just smiled, nodding. He headed out in a hurry, leaving Jenny alone as she slowly teared up in tears; really feeling like a failure… and Yugi could feel her sadness as he ran out, trying his best to not break down either.
Yugi frowns at how awful he is of a sibling. Jenny isn't wrong but again; he is the only one who can help others and reach Kojan… and keep his promises.
''I'm honored, partner…'' Atem proclaims as he manifests in spirit form, grateful by Yugi's determination for something he never asked him to do but happy nonetheless but he doesn't want Yugi to suffer for this either.''But you cannot do this to yourself. Your sister is just concerned for you.''
''I know…'' Yugi replies telepathically, not disagreeing with him but he can't let things be. ''But I can't leave any of this behind. I don't want to lose anyone or anyone to lose people in their hearts. I want to keep my promises.''
Staring, even more determined, Yugi is thinking of everyone… including Kojan. Whatever has made him change; he doesn't care what darkness he falls in. He can't let Kojan do that to himself, reminded of their happier times. He can't.
''That's why I will reach Kojan-kun and find out what has happened to him.'' Yugi tells the Pharaoh firmly, not going to fail his friend. Atem looks at him, wondering about that too. For a while, he had been thinking what made the Kojan that Yugi remembers to the one that he is in the present and he had come to one conclusion: It had to do with the day Kojan left with that girl Keiko. From what Yugi told him; Kojan left the camp after he received a strange message about his brother. He left with the girl Keiko but Kojan promised he would visit as soon as possible. He never did. So it is clear something happened and if this day Kojan left lines up to what happened to the Uchiha; it would all make too much sense.
''Maybe we both know what happened.'' Atem proclaims, aware Yugi has come with the same conclusion he did. Yugi doesn't respond to agree, too scared to learn the truth like this.
''… I need to confront him and ask him.'' Yugi tells the Pharaoh, going to get the answer from Kojan and hopefully make him see reason or try to. That's the best he can do. Itachi is also counting on him; he can't turn his back now.
Yugi marches forward, not going back now. Mew Ichigo follows beside him, frowning saddened at her own abilities. All she wants to do right now is support Yugi, to fight beside him, to protect him and everyone else but she can't even match up to Pain or what Kojan did. Can she… Can she really do anything to help Yugi?
''You can get stronger, and protect him.'' Mew Ichigo widens her eyes, hearing that smooth, kind yet ominous voice echoing in her mind. She tries to block out that voice, growing more and closer to acknowledging this change to her personality and it has to do with this voice. The voice simply giggles as she teases her. ''All you have to do is ask. I will wait.''
Ichigo ignores it as she and Yugi try to find the others.
Alone in the middle of the forest, Kojan leans on the side of the tree, thinking. Manectric is sitting beside her partner as a loyal dog.
Kojan looks down, annoyed. He needs to find Itachi but Yugi getting in the way will make his search that much harder. He can't understand why Yugi is not listening. He knows how dangerous the life of a Dragon Knight is and yet he doesn't get it. Even if he bothered to explain it, he would refuse to acknowledge it. He knows him; he knows he won't listen to reason.
''Why can't you understand?'' Kojan questions himself, wondering if he's being soft on him. And then it hit the Uchiha, realizing he will need to take it up a notch.
''If you won't see reason…'' He begins to say as he looks forward with a grim, dark look across his eyes. ''Then I'll make you by attacking those you love the most.''
In that moment, Kojan changes his face to a disgusting one towards himself. Is he really willing to go that far? He needs to reach Itachi, it's the only way.
''Tch… damn idiot.'' Kojan mutters out, blaming this on Yugi. ''You force my hand, Yugi.''
Making up his mind, Kojan gets off the tree trunk and declares to the mon beside him. ''Let's go.''
''Manec!'' Manectric barks, following him willingly. Kojan marches forward, going to make sure Yugi sees his view and stops this pursuit.
The two immediately dash away with great speed.
So once again, everyone splits up again. After confirming that Sasuke is still alive after that explosion, the group splits up again to find him. Naruto made his choice to create dozens of Shadow Clones to search for Sasuke by force.
Yawning, Ed looks around as his new group of Danny, Ryan and Usagi are searching for the seemingly unkillable Uchiha or Itachi. After doing this for a few hours… yea, Ed is pretty convinced that Naruto is insane to get one friend back. 1 FRIEND. Not even Yugi is- okay, he is like a human being, not what Naruto is. Maybe a Gay- or the idea that Naruto thinks Sasuke is a girl. Yea… Haruto was onto something with that theory.
''I think Naruto's obsession for the emo is likely the fact he's not a girl.'' Edward comes to the conclusion about that theory.
''… No comment.'' Ryan says, not sure how to even say.
Danny does not even want to say a word to this. Usagi, though, hums really curious as she says. ''Eddy makes a good-''
''Please no.'' Danny and even Ryan plead to her, not wanting that idea to go on. Usagi blushes red, nodding.
''We better just hurry and find the Emo before-'' Ed begins telling the group of their plan till Ryan asks, really confused about the name. ''You sure he's an Emo?''
Edward stops on his track and slowly turns around with a serious, firm face as he reminds the newbie. ''The guy wants to kill his older brother for leaving him the sole survivor of their clan to torment him and make him suffer with the image of his family's slaughter.''
Ryan sweat drops, pretty sure that's not how one becomes an Emo. Pretty sure.
''That and it's funny to call him that.'' Ed then says with a smirk, thinking back how whenever they called that Sasuke that, he gets really touchy. Ryan finally gets it, snickering as he says. ''Ah gotcha! Like how Judai and Naruto call you Metal Arm guy?''
''…'' Silent, Ed glares back at Ryan who sweat drops awkwardly.
''N-Not funny then.'' He says, chuckling nervously. Ed soon sighs as he tells him straight as a senior to the beginner. ''Listen newbie; just trust me when I say those two don't get anything.''
Ryan sweat drops, pretty sure those two know stuff that Edward wouldn't. Even Danny agrees, especially towards Judai.
''So are we close?'' Usagi speaks up, voting to change the subject plus she's getting hungry. Ed groans by how she said those words, correcting her. ''We're just looking, don't start saying we're-''
But before he can finish his words, appearing out of thin air is Kojan, landing in front of the group. Ed immediately panics with Danny uttering out. ''That's…''
Turning to face them, Kojan smirks as he asks them in a taunt. ''Looking for someone?''
''C-clearly not you!'' Edward and Usagi both utter out nervously. Forming a scowl firm face, Kojan doesn't care in the slightest as he tells them seriously. ''Shame but that little search party ends here. I won't ask or repeat myself; back away from this or else.''
Watching this from their comfortable end, Akumu chuckles evilly. He honestly did not expect this but it only makes him enjoy it though.
''Now this is quite unexpected.'' Evangeline proclaims, also thinking the same and she also can't help but love this, smirking. ''But it is perfect to know this boy's abilities and skills. Plus the fun show about to play out.''
''Agreed.'' Akumu agrees with her as he manifests a bowl of popcorn, offering it to her. ''Popcorn, Eva-chan?''
''…'' Evangeline looks at the puffy corn-like food with such a narrow, serious face. She has never tried that food before, tempted but doesn't want to look desperate. She simply scoffs, turning her head away in a Tsundere-like attitude, saying like she doesn't care. ''Fine.''
Akum looks at her and smirks, wrapping his arm around her to her surprise. She blushes red, snuggling close to him as they watch the show about to play.
Will Danny and the others handle themselves against Kojan?
Commercial Break:
Ed: Why? Why do we end up with these damn annoying foes!
Usagi: In my defense, it always happens!
The group stares at Kojan who looks back with his hands in his pockets, almost looking at them with no compassion or care for them. But he does feel bad for what he's about to do but he doesn't have much of a choice.
Manectric watches from the shadows of the trees, having been ordered by Kojan to not fight alongside him. She doesn't object; she knows he's right and he cares for her. She whined, wishing to help him.
Ed groans, walking up beside Danny as he calls out at Kojan's stupid threat. ''And why the hell should we!''
Sighing as he shouldn't expect such an obvious response, Kojan says calmly. ''Let me be brief with you four then.''
He responds by reaching and pulling out his Dragon Sword swiftly, pointing it at the four.
''Force huh?'' Ed mutters, not surprised by that. He claps his hands together and swipes his right arm, transmuting his forearm blade.
''Fine by me!'' Edward proclaims, accepting the challenge. Danny would argue about that plan but under this situation; fighting wouldn't be so bad.
''Usagi, transform.'' Danny suggests to her with Usagi nodding. Breathing, Danny then shouts as his eyes glow green. ''I'm Going Ghost!''
The white large energy ring appears around him, splitting up and down as it transforms him into Phantom. Ryan joins the others as he tells the Uchiha respectfully. ''Sorry but we're not running away even if you threatened us.''
''We don't roll that way dude.'' Danny then says with a small smile.
''… Fine.'' Kojan responds as he points his Dragon Sword at them, proclaiming firmly. ''Don't say I wasn't clear with you.''
He takes a step forward and immediately the four widen their eyes as he vanishes before their site. Ed immediately panics as he turns and just barely defends with his wrist blade against Kojan's sword. Sparks fly out as Ed sweats as Kojan is actually pushing him until Ryan tries to swing a punch at Kojan but his fist is suddenly wrapped up in wires. Ryan blinks in surprise as Danny fires a ghost ray. This one Kojan leaps away and he's suddenly swung away by his thin wire.
''He's really fast!'' Ryan tells himself, cut off the wire with his sword.
Kojan distances himself from them, pulling out a few Shurikens and throws them at the group. Ed responds by dashing in and slashes down the shurikens, even cutting the threads attacked on-
However, Edward finds his arm wrapped in other wires that Kojan set up from a few Shurikens he purposely missed.
Kojan then inhales and breathes a Fire Release attack, raging towards the group. Danny intercepts and fires a burst of cyromanic ice, countering the flames with deep freezing ice.
Ryan and Usagi watch as Ed snaps off the wires off his automail arm as the ghost ray ice suppresses the flames but Kojan's flames still push them back. He quickly forms hand seals, cutting off his flames and then shouts breathing new flames. ''FIRE RELEASE: PHOENIX SAGE FIRE TECHNIQUE!''
He spits out multiple smaller fireballs like bullets, piercing through the ice ray and dissolves the attack. Ed grunts, clapping his hands and slams them as he transmutes out multiple spikes right at Kojan on all sides. Kojan oddly smirks as he dashes around, slashing down each of the spikes with swift strikes that he reappears in the center and all of the transmuted spikes are destroyed. He twirls his blade, showing its shiny clean steel.
''What the hell is with this guy?'' Ed utters, furious, annoyed by this guy. Danny agrees as he fires a bomb size Ghost Ray as he creates two duplicates and they charge in. The bomb comes at Kojan who forms a Fire Release, causing the bomb to explode on itself. The two duplicates come at Kojan on the sides but the Uchiha react with such lightning speed, suddenly cutting them till they vanish.
''Okay, this guy has Sasuke's moves. We can handle him.'' Ed theorizes from his movements, confirming this guy fights like Sasuke. Now they might have a-
Overhearing that, Kojan finds that offense and he intends to correct them. Forming different hand seals, Kojan utters out as he raises his sword at them. ''LIGHTNING RELEASE: THUNDERBOLT!''
In an instant, a surge of electricity flies out through the blade and shoots out like a giant bullet-like arrow wave, coming at the group. Ed and the others barely have time to react as Danny grabs Ryan and Usagi as he kicks Ed onto the ground, using intangibility and the beam hits through them, blasting behind them and it explodes, cutting through multiple trees and rocks into pieces.
Danny gulps as he turns them all back solid. Usagi turns around, dropping her jaw in shock. Ryan sweats horrified while Ed gets up, panting his bottom and utters out, realizing his mistake. ''Okay, that's new.''
Kojan begins walking forward which makes Ed charge in along with Ryan. The Uchiha scoffs as he dashes forward, moving with instant lightning speed and kicks Edward before he can swing at him. He gasps out, tossed backwards as Ryan tries to swing his sword. Kojan responds and the two clash swords, parrying the other but Kojan is much faster than Ryan, back swinging him away. Ryan is thrusted away like a fly, slamming him onto a tree.
Edward grunts angrily, transmuting a metal bat and comes swinging at him at his back, Kojan instantly feels him and ducks. Ed, turning around from his swing, counter-clockwise, swings again at him. Kojan slides away from the swing as Edward keeps swinging at him. Kojan simply dodges around each swing, almost not even trying; simply moving to the left to right and even bend backwards.
Ed growls, far from annoyed, as he throws the bat at him and Kojan swaps it with his sword only for Ed to come at his right with a wrist blade swing. Kojan can't respond to this attack so he has this. However, Kojan flicks his wrist, unsheathing out his backup Katana from the end of the hilt. Ed panics as the katana launches out from his back waist and Kojan swings it right at his head. Ed panics, helpless to do anything but Ryan can, leaping in front and swaps the flying blade away.
Kojan quickly pulls back, reeling his weapon into his possession. Ed breathes heavily, thinking he is going to get his head chopped up. Ryan stares at the black haired man firmly, not believing he's a Dragon Knight.
''W-why are you doing this mate? This can't be because we're trying to help our ninja mate?'' Ryan questions Kojan, trying to reason with him.
''…'' Kojan doesn't respond, simply remaining silent. Ryan blinks as he speaks up, confused he didn't hear him. ''H-hey, I just said that-''
''I heard you.'' Kojan finally speaks up but then says coldly. ''But I don't acknowledge any of you. My problem is your loyalty to help Yugi.''
He proceeds to charge at them but is intercepted by Danny, swinging one strong fast punch but Kojan actually dodges it thanks to his Sharingan eyes, able to respond and see the green energy fist coming miles ahead. Danny glares as he comes at him with strong punches but Kojan dodges around them. Danny even duplicates for each punch he missed for his copy to swing a punch too but Kojan also dodges it with ease. Danny backs away fast, realizing he can't hit him with close range.
''We're helping Yugi because he's our friend. Something you clearly can't see!'' Danny tells him off as he proceeds to fire a rapid barrage of ghost rays. It comes raining down at Kojan but his Sharingan eyes glow and the beams hit around him, missing him entirely.
''And that is your mistake.'' Kojan declares as he raises his sword and swings a silver-colored Dragon Slice Attack. Danny dodges it as Kojan forms hand seals and aims it at Ed and Ryan.
''WIND RELEASE: AIR BULLET!'' Kojan shouts, breathing and shooting out a barrage of powerful air bullets at the group. Danny flies down fast to form a barrier but Usagi runs in front to his surprise and shouts, gripping on her brooch glowing. ''MOON COSMIC POWER! MAKE UP!''
The Cosmic Heart Compact shines and transforms her instantly into Sailor Moon. She breathes calmly, spreading her arms and releases bright white energy, repelling the bullets and dissolving them.
Kojan groans as Sailor Moon speaks up, kind but firm. ''I don't get why you want to attack us because of Yugi-chan but I won't let you take your frustration on us!''
She soon begins taking her signature pose, announcing proudly. ''I am the Pretty Guardian who fights for love and Justice, Sailor Moon! And now in the name of Moon, I'll punish you!''
''… Frustration? Hardly.'' Kojan, cracking a smirk, protests on the magical girl's statement. ''You idiots are getting in the way of me saving Itachi's life too. I won't tolerate it anymore.''
''Make us!'' Ed calls him off, not afraid of what he does. It's now 4-vs-
Immediately, Kojan forms hand seals as swirls of electrical, windy energy wrap around him. He exhales before he declares loudly. ''SQUALL RELEASE: VORTEX DEVASTATION!''
The wind increases, becoming dense as the electricity grows stronger as Kojan blows forward, unleashing the attack forward. The group watches as the burst of wind fires, becoming an electrical typhoon-like blast. Danny quickly forms his Ghost Barrier as well as Ed transmuting a large wall. However, the wall shatters instantly by the blast as it connects to the barrier and literally starts piercing through it. Danny tries to hold his ground, feeling the tense force of this attack.
His barrier starts cracking open as Danny tries pushing forward; containing his shield but it isn't going to hold on.
''T-TOO-'' The ghost boy utters out, struggling and Sailor Moon immediately summons her Spiral Heart Moon Rod. She spins around and shots, pointing the magical rod forward. ''MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!''
The powerful storm shatters the barrier but as it does, the attack is dissolved instantly by the massive large energy heart, blasting right at Kojan and consumes him instantly… until the attack also dissolves and Kojan emerges unscratched.
''It didn't hit him?!'' Danny utters out in disbelief. Kojan gazes at Sailor Moon and she looks at him and falls under his Genjutsu, feeling herself being torn apart like paper and then frozen up in ice. Her brooch shines and snaps her out.
She gasps heavily as Kojan instantly vanishes and appears in front of her. Danny, Ed and Ryan cannot react as Kojan, hesitating for a moment, and instead of doing a killing move; he performs a telegraph punch. Sailor Moon reads it and tries to guard but as Kojan swings his punch; a massive black energy skeleton fist, consumed in fiery electricity, manifests and punches the Sailor Guardian so fast and hard that it slams her not just through multiple trees but crashes onto the ground thrice like skipping pebbles.
Sailor Moon gasps, her vision becoming dazed before she drops unconscious while her transformation is undone.
The others watch this, unable to even read what the heck was that as the large skeleton arm connected to Kojan vanishes.
''You... BASTARD!'' Yelling, Ed snaps and comes at Kojan as well as Danny and Ryan. All three try to cooperate and swing in their attacks as a team but Kojan dodges around their efforts, seeing their movements in slow motion thanks to his Sharingan eyes. Ed quickly tries to clap his hands, Danny tries to form a Ghost Saucer and Ryan tries to swing his own Dragon Slice Attack but Kojan crosses his arms, electricity forming around his body and shouts. ''RAIKIRI SHOCKWAVE!''
The electricity builds up and unleashes, becoming a burst of lightning that zaps everything and even tears through the very ground. All three scream, shocked and paralyzed as they fly backwards. Ed slams on a tree and drops hard, not able to get up. Ryan rolls onto the ground, grunting. Danny pants, still able to fight but one kneel and badly paralyzed. To think Kojan is this strong. Is Yugi this strong too?
Shaking off those ideas, Danny stands up and starts inhaling deeply. Kojan watches as Danny soon begins to utter out. ''Ghostly…''
He then follows with a shrieking shout. ''WAIL!''
The ghost boy unleashes his signature echoing, mouth ghost wave. The blast comes, vibrating and shaking everything as it comes right towards the Uchiha. Kojan, standing his ground, just stares at the attack coming at him. His Sharingan eyes briefly change for a moment and in that exact moment, the ghostly energy wave distorts into split bladed waves and hits around him, missing him entirely.
''You got to be-'' Danny utters out, not believing that just happened but before he can finish his lines, he's instantly kicked upward by Kojan who appears out of nowhere. Kojan, sheathing his second katana, then raises his free hand and shoots out wire that wraps around Danny and quickly shouts. ''RAIKIRI WHIP!''
The wire is immediately consumed in electricity, zapping Danny in horrible agony. He yells out as Kojan then grips on the wire and swings his arm downward, tossing and slamming the paralyzed Danny onto the ground. Danny grunts as he reverts back to human form, really hurt.
Kojan scoffs, cutting off the wire from his end. He prepares to leave until Ed suddenly speaks up weakly. ''R-really don't…''
The Uchiha turns to see Edward trying to get up but Kojan dashes in front of him and stomps his foot across his back. Edward grunts and drops face forward on the ground, muttering out. "Don't like you…''
Kojan scoffs, getting his foot off him and starts to walk away for real until Ryan dashes in his way. Sighing already annoyed, Kojan calls him out. "Please, you're a beginner Dragon Knight.''
''You're right…'' Ryan openly admits, fully aware that he stands no chance in a fight against him. But he does have a way to fight Kojan and beat him.
''That's why I'll fight you another way…'' Ryan declares, holding up his left arm showing his Duel Disk, declaring determinedly. ''Thought a duel!''
Ed and the others watch as Ryan holds forward his Duel Disk, determined to duel Kojan. Edward, still in pain, has to admit that's a good plan. A duel against this guy is probably the best way to beat him.
''Come on, I'm challenging you-'' Ryan tells him, not afraid of his Deck and willingly to-
''You think I'm stupid to duel you.'' Ryan immediately blinks awkwardly at Kojan's response, further saying as he shows his arm. ''Please. Even if I did, I discarded that Duel Disk.''
Now that surprised Ryan heavily. Kojan discarded the Duel Disk he borrowed since he didn't need it anymore. Still, he wouldn't mind crushing him if he had a Duel Disk.
Smirking, Kojan simply says cocky. ''Another time.''
He starts walking but Ryan tries to stop him, getting in his way. ''W-wait!''
Kojan suddenly vanishes but Ryan turns around, seeing Kojan now behind him and walking away. He groans as he calls him out, frustrated to do something to stop him. ''At least challenge me like knights in a-''
''No.'' Ryan staggers by Kojan's response, turning halfway through as he further says. ''You don't even have a Rising Limit. You're no threat to me.''
Ryan just stares silent as Kojan vanishes, disappearing.
''O-Okay?'' Ryan utters out, puzzled but at the least the guy is modest. Turning back to the others, Ryan rushes to their aid, trying to pull Edward up first.
''You guys okay?'' He asks them, concerned to see them so badly hurt. Edward grunts, wishing it isn't the case but he feels even more broken down than when his automails are broken apart. It really pisses him off. Usagi doesn't say a word, groaning as she feels sick like she took that rollercoaster ride.
Ryan frowns, feeling bad he couldn't do more for his friends. Kojan isn't lying, he has no idea how to use his powers or the time to learn like Yugi had at the least. He feels really helpless- no, worse; unable to do anything even with powers.
Danny sees his expression and he's immediately reminded of himself when he began his double life as a hero. After all, in his early days, he had struggled heavily and his knowledge on his powers was very new to him.
''Hey, relax Ryan.'' Danny tells the young lawyer, giving him a piece of wisdom from someone who has been there. ''I started off pretty under-powered against Skulker, Technius, Vlad, and a ton of ghosts. Heck even the Box Ghost. You're just beginning to learn your powers like I was and Yugi. You got time to master them too and you will.''
Ryan blinks at him before slowly forming a smile and nods, thanking him. ''Thanks mate.''
He looks ahead, uttering out rather concerned. ''I just hope the others can handle him better.''
Danny agrees with him while Ed and the partly unconscious Usagi groan.
Moving forward with swift speed, Kojan tries to sense out Itachi but he's keeping his aura deeply suppressed. He frowns, able to feel him but not able to sense him properly. As he dashes, he begins to recall the time of his childhood when his brother was still alive.
''You can always trust Itachi. I trust him with my life.'' The words of his older brother Shisui echoes in his mind, words he told him. That day, Shisui had to leave on a mission so he left Itachi to watch over Kojan. Kojan was obviously nervous about it but Itachi was a kind yet talented ninja, someone Kojan was astonished. He found him just as amazing as his brother, respecting him like an older brother. With no parents and just him and his brother; it felt nice having a… a family.
Snapping out from those thoughts, Kojan tells himself mentally and determinedly. ''Itachi-Onii-san, don't do anything stupid please.''
He rushes faster, needing to reach him and will not tolerate anyone he might confront; he'll crush anyone.
Jonouchi's group of himself, Ruby, Sonic… and Kaiba, complaining, walk in the forest till they come across Naruto, on his knees and breathing heavily. Ruby panics and rushes to his aid. Jonouchi rushes in with Sonic beating him while Kaiba takes his time walking, scoffing.
''You okay Naruto!'' Ruby asks him, pulling him up. Naruto sweats, nodding softly though still taken back what just happened. He was split away from his group and… and he was confronted by him.
''I-Itachi. I crossed paths with him!'' Naruto tells them, still taken back, he even manages to find him.
''Well how was it?'' Jonouchi asks, a bit curious. Naruto tries to recall and slowly sweats in pure awkwardness, not sure where to start.
''Well… We talked about Sasuke and then he made me eat his crow.'' The spiky blond haired ninja begins to explain with a stun, tiny lip expression with widened eyes. The group looks back rather… yea, they are shocked. Ruby and Jonouchi widen their eyes while sweating while Sonic raises an eyebrow, curious how he did that. Kaiba just glares coldly, never hearing anything so stupid.
''Then again he gave me a nightmare Genjutsu that half my face was Sasuke, a part of me was Sakura, my stomach turned into Kakashi-sensei and my hand was Gaara's eye.'' Naruto then reveals the time that he also confronted Itachi and his Genjutsu was painful.
''… What?'' Jonouchi just utters out, not following. Kaiba growls, hearing enough as he demands loudly. ''Enough! Where the hell are Yugi and Momomiya?!''
Naruto sweat drops, actually not sure. They have not been able to find either of them since they split up but he knows where he last saw them from one of his clones.
''Good question! I'll find them in a-'' Sonic declares, going to find them in an instant. However, before he can, something shoots out from a tree right at Sonic but to the blue hedgehog, he sees it coming as if it was in slow motion. Without trying as the thing gets close, Sonic catches it with insane speed, chuckling as he flickers the throwing kunai up and down like a ball. Naruto staggers as does the others; even Kaiba is taken back by this.
''Phew, close one with-'' Sonic begins to say, still tossing the weapon up and down. Naruto watches and his blue eyes widen, seeing a thin shine line attached to the kunai's bottom hilt. It's a wire connecting upward towards a tree!
''DROP THAT KUNAI NOW!'' Naruto yells at him, realizing what the one who threw the Kunai will do.
''How co-'' Sonic begins to ask him until a voice shouts out. ''RAIKIRI WHIP!''
Electricity suddenly flows through the trees and comes in such speed to the kunai that a thin wire is connected and shocks the blue hedgehog. He yells out as Jonouchi, Naruto and Ruby all yell out in shock. ''Sonic!''
Kaiba watches, gazing towards the trees. The electricity stops but Sonic drops on his knees before collapsing, grunting in pain. His entire body is stunned, unable to move with electricity still coursing through his body.
Naruto gets mad, turning as someone jumps out from the trees. Kaiba widens his eyes furiously, uttering out in fury. ''You!''
Scoffing, Kojan stands up facing the group. He glares very pissed, swearing he sensed Itachi around here. But he was here and now they're here… best he takes this chance to torment them next.
He looks down at the paralyzed hedgehog, smirking as he taunts him. ''I was expecting more from the so-called fastest thing alive. I doubt it now.''
Jonouchi growls, realizing for sure who the hell is this guy and it pisses him off; he finally gets to see this bastard face-to-face.
''You're that jerk that thinks he's my best friend's bestest friend!'' The darkened blond haired barks madly, waving his fist towards him. This actually causes Kojan to acknowledge him by the stupid phrasing of ''best friend'' he put it.
''Pretty sure Yugi never said those words. And we were friends.'' Kojan corrects him which only pisses Jonouchi off further. ''I'm more pissed off that he doesn't give a damn!''
Kojan narrows his eyes away from this idiot. Why the hell does he-
''Hey, I'm talking you!'' Kojan turns his eyes forward towards Jonouchi, still yelling at him. Sighing, the Uchiha tells him with one hand in his pocket. ''Talking to you is more annoying than I'd like it. I rather beat you fools the same way as the others.''
This shocks them with Naruto now barking angrily, even questioning his reason for being here. ''What did you do to our friends?! Are you here to help Sasuke or Itachi?!''
''Sasuke?'' Kojan utters out, puzzled at first until he remembers that was the name of Itachi's younger brother. Right, he forgot that idiot is trying to kill Itachi because he doesn't know the truth. He'll have to deal with him too as he tells them. ''I only wish is to stop you all from going after Itachi, and that includes Sasuke too.''
''Why?'' Ruby asks, really confused. ''Is it for revenge?''
''… Because he's family.'' Kojan simply says with a soft voice before he proclaims with a firm voice, ordering them. ''And I'm done being nice to Yugi. So make him quit being the Dragon Knight or else.''
Jonouchi glares, hearing enough of this cocky punk of a jerk. He thinks of Yugi so beneath while Yugi speaks of this guy being the reason why he learned the importance of friendship. This can't be true because if it was; he would respect and value Yugi.
''Yugi is the kindness person I know…'' Jonouchi begins uttering out, taking a step forward. He begins to recall every act Yugi has done for his friends, including and especially most of all him. If not for Yugi, Jonouchi would be the same thug fool who couldn't help his sister and likely become a worse person. It's thanks to Dueling, it's thanks to his friends and it's thanks to Yugi that such a thing as bonds is stronger than one's fists. And seeing him use his powers as a Dragon Knight to do what he has done but better is exactly who Yugi is.
''He being the Dragon Knight is who he should be! Because one's strength is not through their fists but their heart!'' Jonouchi speaks up passionately, pointing his finger at Kojan, calling him out. "Something you obviously don't have a damn clue about!''
Kojan looks at him silently, slowly forming a small smirk. That was an actual insult, not bad… but
''... Now you made me mad.'' The Uchiha mutters out as he reaches with his right hand over the hilt of his Dragon Sword and grabs on it, declaring as his eyes gazes at the group with the most hateful of stares. ''Don't say I didn't give you a chance.''
Sonic overhears this, grunting as he kinda wishes he can fight this guy. It's not going to end well.
Kojan continues his assault against Team Dragon Knight. Will Jonouchi's group even handle him better than the others?

Now we reach the climax of this plot with Kojan basically stomping his dominance in stopping Yugi's path by attacking his friends, forcing his hand heavily.
So yea, this chapter isn't Kojan at his best. yet, and only using his basic skills and it's otherworldly compared to Yugi's moves. You can tell their difference in fighting skills and the huge gap in power/skill/abilities between them. But... he still demolished
