The Dragonfly Inn had never looked more beautiful. There were hydrangeas, gerbera daisies and other flowers in the wedding's signature colours (cobalt blue and magenta) in all of the flower boxes on the porch. Large ribbons, also in the wedding colours, were wound around the posts and railings. Once the sun sets it would be revealed that there were twinkle lights hidden within the shear ribbons. The chuppah was set up on the porch, in the same spot they shared their first kiss. Family and friends filled the front lawn in the seats set up perfectly with offset rows so people could see from any spot.

Liz beamed when Luke and Jess exited the Inn taking their spots, Luke under the chuppah and Jess beside him. Reverend Skinner & Rabbi Barans took their spot with Luke. One of Luke's surprises when they were first dating and getting to know each other was that his mother was Jewish, which explained the chuppah.

"When did Jess get here?" Babette whispered (as best she could) to Miss Patty.

"About half an hour ago. At least that's when I saw his car driving through town."

"You think Rory knows?"

"From what I heard not even Luke knew he was coming."

Zack and Brian began to play "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton on their acoustic instruments. Jackson escorted Emily down the aisle, she was dressed in a beautiful blue suit with magenta flowers embroidered on it. She smiled at the townsfolk who filled the seats and for a moment felt the appeal of living in a small town. Then Rory appeared at the end of the aisle with a huge smile on her face, she looked around at the guests, sharing smiles, she touched Lane's shoulder as she passed her and then looked up as she took her spot. She gasped when she realized she was standing across from Jess but quickly recovered to smile at her future step-dad.

Luke stepped towards Rory and all that anyone could see was that he kissed her on the cheek, what they didn't know is that he whispered, "Jess surprised me, sorry you didn't get a heads up."

"It's okay," she whispered back.

Then Sookie made her way down the aisle with tears in her eyes and a smile from ear to ear. She grabbed Luke into a bear hug before taking her place beside Rory, who she also hugged.

Then time stood still, the music changed, the guests stood and Lorelai appeared on her father's arm at the end of the aisle. Jess chuckled at the fact that Luke audibly gasped when he saw her. Sookie, Rory and Luke all could not take their eyes off of Lorelai and were welling up.

Lorelai glided down the aisle, she looked like a Disney princess wearing the gown her mother bought her. Luke smiled and felt his heart melting when he saw that her hair was done in soft loose wavesmspilling out from under a white backwards baseball cap. It was Rory's brilliant idea to fix her veil problem. Her outfit couldn't have been more perfect; she had vintage shoes (old), the designer dress from her mother (new), Sookie's veil (borrowed), and the earrings and necklace that Luke gave her that were made by Liz (blue).

Lorelai could barely believe that she was in the same dress she held up to her body in her mother's room months ago, dreaming of marrying Luke, and here it was. She tried with all of her might to capture and take in every feeling, every sight, every smell, every sound, and suddenly she was thrilled Michel talked her into hiring a videographer because despite wanting to take all this in all she could focus on was Luke. He was there, clean shaven, piercing blue eyes that were glistening with tears, his extremely well fitted pewter grey suit with a cobalt blue shirt and tie. Lorelai never have thought Luke could be more handsome but today, she was floored.

At the end of the aisle Luke descended the stairs and shook Richard's hand, then Richard lifted Lorelai's veil, kissed her cheek and placed her hand in Luke's. Richard took his spot beside Emily and reached for her hand.

The ceremony was short and sweet, it ended with Luke stepping on a glass before pulling Lorelai into a kiss. The crowd rose to their feet as Luke and Lorelai walked past them to the cottage.

While the guests enjoyed cocktail hour with music and food, Luke and Lorelai posed for pictures with different configurations of their families. While Lorelai was getting some photos with her parents Luke snuck off to find Anna and April. He found April on her own coming out of the stables.

"Hey Luke, the horses are so beautiful. Oh, and congratulations on the wedding. It was my first one and I loved it!"

Luke gave her a small hug, "I'm glad you're having a good time. Where's your Mom?"

April looked worried, "Actually, she's not here. She couldn't get anyone to cover at the store so she dropped me off and she'll be back as soon as she can."

"Oh," Luke nodded, "Well I wanted to borrow you for a few moments anyway. We're over there doing some family portraits and I was hoping you wouldn't mind being in some pictures with us."

"ME?"

"April, you came looking for me. Now that I know you, you are a part of my family, forever. I would really like you to be a part of today's memories."

Trying to hide the fact that she had tears in her eyes, April smiled, "I'd love to be in the family photos."

Luke and April joined the crowd that were changing combinations for posed portraits.

April beamed when there was first a photo taken of her and Luke, then her, Luke and Lorelai and then Luke, Lorelai and both of their daughters. She turned to Lorelai, "Thanks for including me, this is amazing!"

"You're family now, Kid. There's no getting rid of us!"

"Oh boy," Rory chimed in. "Mom called you 'family', you're in trouble now." She laughed when April looked concerned. "I just mean that she's going to call you, want to know all your likes and dislikes, force Luke to cook unhealthy food for you and I hope you like parties on your birthday!"

April's eyes widened with excitement, "That all sounds amazing! I've only had Mom for my whole life. We don't have a huge circle of friends and there's only my grandmother for extended family."

"You've got a big family now! Welcome to Stars Hollow," Lorelai smiled while pulling April into a hug.

Luke beamed as he watched the three girls he loved most in the world interact. He couldn't believe how much he already loved April and that now he was officially Rory's Dad, he chose to ignore the "step" part.

Lorelai pulled Luke to the side, "I'm guessing you hope I'm carrying a boy in here, there's a whole lot of estrogen in our new home, hu?"

"I'm very happy being surrounded by beautiful, intelligent, fun loving women. I mean I wouldn't mind a boy, but I really just want a healthy baby. And to be honest I don't mind spoiling my girls."

"Okay everyone, it's time for dinner!" Sookie announced.

There was seating indoors and outdoors where the guests enjoyed Sookie and Emily's perfectly planned menu. Luke and Lorelai made their rounds making sure to see everyone and thanking them for coming. Luke was caught up with Liz, TJ and Jess when Lorelai saw something in her peripheral vision that she didn't want Luke to see. She leaned down and whispered to Jess, "Keep Luke here for a few minutes," and excused herself. She made her way to the edge of the party and tried to not make it obvious as to the direction she was going, smiling and greeting people as she went. She stopped when she was in earshot of April and Anna, but stayed out of their eye line.

"Mom, it was just a few pictures," April sighed.

"So now that you found Luke you don't need me anymore, suddenly you're part of a new family. Mom, Dad, sister and little April so you don't need me, right? Is that why you went looking for him because you don't want to live with me anymore?" Anna seemed frazzled.

"Mom, please! Quiet down, this is a nice party, please don't yell."

"Hey you guys!" Lorelai greeted cheerfully. "Have you tried Sookie's stuffed mushrooms? Or bacon wrapped asparagus? Or literally anything she's cooked?"

The mother and daughter looked at Lorelai in shock, it was clear they couldn't tell if Lorelai heard their argument so both tried to hide their expressions and smiled at the Bride.

"Actually, we were just leaving," Anna said through her fake smile.

April's face dropped.

"Oh, well that's a shame," Lorelai sighed. "April, Luke is just over there if you want to say goodbye."

"We really don't have time for that," Anna snapped.

"I'll be quick. It would be rude to leave without saying goodbye," April insisted. She then hurried off before Anna could respond.

"I don't want to pry, but is everything okay? Things seemed a little tense." Lorelai asked.

"Listen, it was not my idea that April go looking for her father. We were just fine with it as just the two of us. She got it in her head after my Mom took her to see the play 'Mama Mia'. And then she thought it would be the perfect science fair project. Luke had no interest in kids all those years ago, so I did what I thought was right. But I did not spend almost twelve years doing this on my own to suddenly be ditched because she found a cute family, that has been a family for five seconds! In fact, I have been thinking about moving to New Mexico to be near my Mom and maybe this is the perfect time."

Lorelai felt her blood begin to boil, "I can't speak to what Luke was like twelve years ago, but EIGHT years ago when I met him with my daughter, he was incredible. He has been a stable, caring, protective and devoted father figure to a girl who isn't biologically his. And at that time we weren't dating, he was just a great friend. So I find it hard to believe that anyone who knew Luke even a little bit would think that he is the type of guy you should hide his own kid from."

"All I know is that Luke hated kids!"

"Hey, what's going on?" Luke asked as he and April approached.

"Your wife was calling me out about keeping April from you," Anna barked.

"That's not exactly how it went down," Lorelai said, shaking her head.

"All I'm saying is, you didn't know him back then! I did what I had to do." Anna's voice raised in anger and people began to watch.

"Was I such a bad guy back then? I just said that kids seem like a lot of work. I didn't like how messy and loud they can be. I was also a guy in my twenties who just lost his Dad. But did you really think I wouldn't help you out? At the very least you had to have known I would have helped financially."

Anna looked trapped. It was then that Lorelai realized that Anna wanted to have the baby on her own. Her first instinct was to call it out right there daring her to deny it. But she didn't want to make a bigger scene at her own wedding, nor did she want this to continue in front of April.

"Why don't we take it down a notch?" Lorelai offered. "Now that Luke and April know about each other we all are going to be in each other's lives forever. We have time to figure this all out. Once Luke and I are back from our honeymoon we can sit down and talk about how things will work."

Anna glared.

"Mom, can we please stay? I'm having so much fun and the food is incredible!" April begged.

"Okay, fine." Anna sighed

"Great! Now come, you have to try these cute puffs," April grabbed Anna's hand and led her away. As she pulled her Mom, April looked back at Lorelai and mouthed "Thank you".

"Wow, look at you, calming things down," Luke smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I'm not letting anything ruin today or tonight," she smiled leaning into his hug. She chose to not tell him about Anna's threat to take April to New Mexico. That was something they could strategize about later.

The rest of the evening went off without a hitch. Emily wiped away the tears when she watched Richard and Lorelai dance the Father Daughter dance. After they were on the floor for just a few moments Rory asked Luke to dance with her and it was his turn to well up with some tears.

When the dance was done Jess tapped his fork against his glass, it was time for the toasts!
