Chapter 14 : Time to think
Toothless woke up to the chill air of the cove entering their grotto. He shifted and opened his eyes, noticing that his little slave had left his side during the morning. It wasn't important though, he knew Hiccup loves to swim early in the morning. "It helps me cutting out the last piece of drowsiness in me," the youth had chuckled the first time. The dragon yawned, smacking his lips. He looked at his daughter sleeping a few feet away on a large flat rock, with her egg secured in her front paws. He sighed contently, remembering that she was the fruit of his claim on Hiccup. He smirked, somewhat happy that Nuri accelerated the laying of her egg. 'Now I could have my fun back. Two days without knotting him is way too long. Maybe breeding him today would be great too~...I could even try to put two eggs this time !' he thought, drooling a bit. He stood up and stretched lazyly, a content purr as his joints let out a 'pop'. He slowly got his way to the entrance of their grotto, looking at the pond.
He frowned, not seeing his little dragon slut swimming in the lake. He paused, looking at the entire area. The child was nowhere to be seen. Toothless sat on his rear, closed his eyes and let out his long call. Surely his toy would hear it and come to him. He waited, not seeing the child appearing from anywhere. He became confused and got down on the moist soil, starting to wander inside the cove, looking for his slave. He called and called again, but nothing came. He was becoming more and more agitated, not comprehending where the boy could or would hide.
Then he saw it.
A tiny, dark yet shining obsidian scale, lying on the floor.
He came close to it and his eyes slitted, opening wide.
On the ground next to the entrance, lied the necklace Toothless had given to Hiccup the night before they layed their egg.
He sniffed it, put his right paw on his face as if he wanted to clear his mind (a nasty habit he took from Hiccup). He looked closer, starting to shiver at the meaning of this.
"N-No...that's impossible...he couldn't..." he backed off, shaking his head, refusing the dreadful reality.
Hiccup had left.
He had left before the dragon woke up, without saying anything. He left, and that was all.
"W-Why...Why ? WHY ?!" Toothless whined, growled and finally let out a mighty roar, letting his frustration and despair take the best of him. Nuri was close in a second, looking at her father, not understanding what was the reason of his sudden anger. "Dad ? Dad ! What is it ? What is happening ?!" Toothless turned abruptly to her, his eyes bright with tears. "He left. He has LEFT US !" He took the necklace with a claw and threw it deep inside the lake, not looking back.
"ROAR ! WHY ?! I don't understand !" he shouted one more time. Nuri's eyes widened in shock, but she managed to stay calm. "Dad, listen to me. DAD ! Hiccup has not probably left forever ! What if he wanted to have some time for himself ?" "Then why would he have left his necklace here ? Uh ?! No, he just left because he didn't really love me ! He left because he doesn't care about us at all !" The broken dragon was crying freely now. He whined, rolled and put his paws on his face, making little whimpers.
"No, that's not true ! He can't left us just like that ! He would not have been acting like he had around us if he didn't care at all !" She shouted. "Nonsense ! I-I...just leave me alone Nuri, I don't want to talk," he wrapped his wings around his head, still crying. Nuri was left with her mouth open, wanting to tell something. But nothing came, so she bent down her head in defeat. Shaking, she came closer to the entrance and sniffed the air. She could distinct the human scent perfectly. It was flowing with dragon scent and fear. She looked back at her father, and decided to follow Hiccup in the forest. She took off and landed above the cove, sniffed the soil and started tracking the child, praying the dragon gods that he was safe somewhere.

Hiccup had taken the way to come back to the village. It has been an hour now that he left the cove. He was hesitant at first, but had decided to go talk to Gobber, probably the only person he could trust in the village.
Something roared deep inside the forest. Hiccup shivered but kept going. "I'm sorry Toothless..." When he came close to the village, he hid behind a tree, looking for any movement. He had to think of what to say to Gobber, how to explain his sudden long disappearance. He spotted Spitelout and Hoark coming his way, so he stayed put, listening their conversation.
"...we have to find them. That's a good thing Hiccup disappeared, but we can't afford to lose Astrid and my son. They will have a huge impact for the next generation of Vikings," Spitelout said to Hoark.
"True. But what if we find Hiccup by searching the two others ? That would be a problem, your son will not be able to become the Chief anymore," Hoark commented.
"Ah...you're right. Maybe we should wait a couple more days. I know Astrid often practice her axe-throwing skill. Maybe Snotlout had followed her in some hard training weeks. I know that they will get married soon, Snotlout is good at flirting and winning girls heart," Spitelout smirked.
"Haha ! They would form a nice couple ! Let's just hope Hiccup's dead by now. The only problem would be Stoick. I don't know for sure how he will react to his son being dead..." his companion hummed.
"Don't worry about him. If he become incapable to run the village, it would be legitimate that I become the Chief. I don't think someone would refute my lawful right anyway."
"Alright. Did you talk to Astrid's parents ?" Hoark asked.
"Yes. They have faith in their daughter. They told me she had worked hard recently, and so they aren't scared for her."
"Okay. Let's focus on strengthing our defense for now on. I will see ya at the Mead Hall."
They separated, leaving a crying Hiccup whimpering behind a tree. He couldn't believe what he heard.
Somehow, he always had that tiny hope that one day, his life would become as good as anyone else, and that his father would be proud of him. He wasn't expecting them wishing for him to disappear forever. What could he do now ? Coming in and tell everyone that the three of them had trained in the forest and only him had survived ? That would be hardly believable, and everyone would be disappointed, mourning the lost of their best new trainees, probably blaming his bad luck and throwing rocks in his face.
His face was burried in his hands, his body curled up close to the tree roots. He was still crying when someone crooned next to his head.
"Hiccup ? Hiccup, that's me. What happened ?" Nuri tried to nudge him, but he pushed her away. "Leave me alone, Nuri. I'm not worth living anymore..." Nuri looked sternly at him, then abruptly chomped her maw on his shoulder and ran back to the core of the forest. Hiccup trashed a bit, but soon stopped resignedly, knowing that her firm grip won't allow him to escape.
They stopped a few moments after, in the middle of nowhere. Nuri dropped him gently, and sat in front of him. Hiccup looked at her expectant face, and understood that he wasn't going anywhere until he explained her what happened. He sighed. "I heard two of my people talking. They are aware of our disappearance, but I don't think they would lead a search party soon. They think that Astrid and Snotlout are practising together somewhere." Nuri nodded and gestured for him to continue. "I...I wish I haven't witnessed their conversation," he shivered. Nuri's face softened and she licked him tenderly. "What did they say about you ?"
Hiccup crisped and looked inside her eyes. "They wish I'm dead. They won't come now because they fear they find me with Astrid and Snotlout. They just want me to be dead..." he started crying louder. Nur growled, but hugged Hiccup, pulling him close to her chest with her front paws. She started grooming him, soothing him and telling him that it will be alright. The child grabbed her strong neck, losing himself to despair.
The day advanced, and the two were still cuddling, Hiccup whimpering inside Nuri's embrace. She was crooning and purring, comforting him the best she could. "Hiccup, you need to come back with me, dad is worried sick about you." Hiccup's fear came back. "N-No...I...I heard him roar this morning...he was more likely very angry...I don't want him to punish me..." "Yes he was angry. But he was even more confused and sad. He loves you Hiccup, more than anything. If you don't come back, he will probably..."
Her eyes widened at the sudden realisation of what she was about to say. Hiccup was shocked as well. "You really think he will let himself die if I don't come back ?" Nuri breathed a bit. "Yes...he cares too much about you to live if you're not by his side. Please Hiccup...I care about you, too. I told you, you belong to us Night Furies. Nobody will treat you poorly like these disgusting humans !" She said the last part with a snarl. Hiccup pulled back a bit and looked in her eyes. "O-Okay...but leave me alone tonight. I still need some time for myself. "What ?! No ! I'm not letting you alone in this dangerous forest ! That's out of question !" The dragoness barked. "Please Nuri. I promise I will be fine. Let's find a tree where I can sleep on, I won't be disturbed by some wolves or other predators. You will go back to Toothless and tell him I will come back tomorrow, okay ?"
Nuri looked back at him with a neutral expression. Then she sighed, accepting his wish. "Alright. I will find you a safe spot. Let's go." She stood up, Hiccup following her by her side. Soon they find a suitable place for Hiccup, it did look safe enough for Nuri, so she waited Hiccup was comfortable. "Thank you Nuri, see you tomorrow," he smiled. "I will tell father about you. Please be safe," she answered then left, running back to their cove.

Hiccup slept alone that night. That had not happened since Toothless had enslaved him. For the first time in weeks, he was cold.
But it was necessary.
Yesterday had been the only day without him being full of his Master cum. Somehow, an emptiness had sneaked inside him, bringing with it confusion and fear.
Was he happy with his condition ? He told Nuri he will come back tomorrow, but was that what he really wanted ? He feels safe with Nuri, but he wasn't sure about Toothless. He was his slave, for fuck sake. He loves him and knows Toothless loves him too, but sometimes his Master was very harsh with him, humiliating him with its absurd overdominance. Toothless' alternate cum was so sweet, but he knew, deep inside his head, that it was a way for Toothless to enslave his mind too. Now that he has time to think, he realises that the last days he was more drowsy and willing to take all his Master's sperm.
He knew it was partially his fault, he had grounded the dragon. But did Toothless really punished him only for that reason ? If somehow he had succeeded to give him back his flight, would Toothless have left him ? Or taken him ?
This situation was so weird.
And it has to stop.
Hiccup started to feel guilty, frowned his eyes and looked at the stars emerging in the sky. "Maybe...Maybe this would be a good idea to try it now." He hopped on the ground and started running, but not in the direction of the cove.
Tadaaaa~ I hope to post the next chapter by next week !
