I don't own One Piece or Naruto

Once upon a time, there was a great pirate named "Gold Roger''. He had conquered every single treasure that existed, and as he stood there with a smile on his face, one man asked, "HEY! PIRATE KING! What did you do with your treasure? It's somewhere on the Grand Line, isn't it? You have it, don't you? The greatest treasure in the world?-"

"Insolent! Hold your tongue!" the executioner yelled at the man

"Your one special treasure? ONE-PIECE!" He yelled to Roger. Roger let out a quick laugh before responding with, "You want my treasure, you can have it. I left everything I gathered together in one place. Now you'll have to find it!" Roger said, drawing his last breath as he was impaled by his executioners. A moment of silence ensued before started to cheer at this revelation. This was the start of the Great-Pirate era.

In the East Blue, we come upon a pirate ship. On that ship, you see a young seven-year-old child named "Uzumaki Naruto". Naruto is a hyperactive kid who likes to prank the crew member of this ship for fun. Naruto has spiky blonde hair and blue eyes. Naruto was wearing grey shorts with a yellow shirt that says, "Costa". Naruto is currently learning how to defend himself with a sword. The person teaching him is the captain of the ship "Red-Haired Shanks". Shanks was an up-and-coming pirate who was currently putting his crew together; at the moment he only had three members, Benn Beckman, Lucy Roux, and Yasopp.

Clang

"Naruto, you won't be able to defend yourself if you keep dropping your sword," Shanks said, picking up Naruto's sword and handing it to Naruto. Naruto took the sword and said, "It's hard to hold a sword when you have a bunch of blisters."

"Just ignore the pain and keep pushing. You'll thank me in the future… if you're alive." Shanks said ruffling his hair. Yasopp laughed at this saying, "Of course he'll be alive, he's being trained by you."

"Yeah but not for long," Shanks said, seeing an island to his left. "PORT THE HELM!" He yelled.

"It seems we may have found a base. Might be able to get some more crew members too. Well if they're okay with us staying here that is," Beckman says, walking toward Shanks. Shanks simply chuckled in response to that. Naruto is walking toward the figurehead of the ship to get a better view of the island. This won't be Naruto's first time going to a different island but for some reason, he was excited for this one.

'I wonder who I'll meet on this island. They might have ramen like the last Island,' Naruo thought to himself in excitement. "It seems the village on the island is part of Goa Kingdom, Foosha Village," Beckman said, handing Shanks a map of Goa Kingdom.

"Foosha Village…. Sounds interesting." Shanks said as the Ship got closer to the island's Seaport. On the island people from the village quickly noticed the pirate ship closing in. This caused many people to start panicking. People started to hide their valuables, children, and wives. The men grabbed their brooms and headed to the seaport to greet the pirates.

When Shanks got off his ship he was surprised to see a bunch of men with brooms waiting for him. " I'm sorry but I must ask you to leave this village at once." The mayor said standing in front of Shanks.

"Excuse me, sir, we are not looking to bother the people of the village, we were simply looking for a bar to eat and drink," Shanks said, scratching the back of his head. The mayor did not believe what Shanks was saying, so he came up with a compromise. "If you give us all the weapons you have on that ship and your person. I will allow you to stay, oh and of course well give you your weapons back when you leave." Shanks simply nodded in agreement.

"Roux, Yasopp, Beckman, and Naruto! Give the villagers the weapons you are currently holding!" Shanks yelled to them. Naruto didn't mind giving his sword to the villagers, it was not like he was gonna use it. When Naruto came out of the ship the men were surprised to see a boy on pirate, one of the men asked, "Is he one of you guys son?"

"No, he's an orphan we picked up on five years ago," Shanks said, handing the mayor his sword. "You better take go-"

"Are you guys real Pirates!" A dark-haired boy yelled running towards the ship. "Come back Luffy!" A green-haired woman yelled chasing behind him.

"What are you doing here Luffy?" The mayor asked. "I came to meet the pirates," Luffy said, looking at Shanks. Shanks simply waved Luffy with a smirk. Luffy then looked around Shanks and said, "Where are the rest of your crew?"

"These three are the only members I have right now but pretty soon they'll be more," Shanks said, pointing at Beckman, Yasopp, and Lucy Roux. "What about him?" Luffy asked, pointing at Naruto.

"He is not a member," Shanks said.

"Oh, can I join your crew then?" Luffy asked, jumping with excitement. "Don't ask such foolish questions Luffy! Your grandfather would kill me if allowed you to leave with a group of pirates." The mayor yelled. Shanks simply laughed at this.

"Anyway, can you guys tell me stories of your adventure?" Luffy asked.

"Sure," Shanks said, surprised at this question. "Okay then let's go to Makino's bar," Luffy said, grabbing Shanks hand and leading him towards the bar. The rest of the crew followed behind except for Naruto. Naruto had decided to go look around the village before heading to the bar.

When Naruto got to the bar it was filled with laughter and music.

"Naruto, where have you been!" Shanks yelled. "Looking around," Naruto said, taking a seat beside Luffy and Shanks.

"Hey, Luffy, how old are you?" Yasopp asked, highly intoxicated. "Six," Luffy said with his mouth full.

"You and Naruto are about the same age, the two of you could be friends," Shanks said, pushing Luffy's chair towards Naruto. "Really?!" they both asked in unison.

"Why are you asking me?" Shanks said, taking a sip of ale. "Do you wanna be my friend?" Luffy asked curiously.

"Sure!" Naruto said smiling. Naruto and Luffy would both spend the rest of the day getting to know each other.

Next Morning

Docks

"Are you sure you wanna leave him here?" Makino asked Shanks. Shanks responded to her saying, "Yeah I'm sure it's gonna be too dangerous for Naruto to come along, and if I allowed Naruto to come with us the Luffy would also wanna come. Not like he doesn't already want to come with us. And will be back in no time." He said, smiling at her.

"Alright if you say so," Makino said.

Partys Bar

Both Naruto and Luffy fell asleep on one of the bar tables. As Makino opened the door to the bar it seemed to have woken up Naruto. Once awake Naruto looked around the bar to see that everyone had. Looking to his right his Makino and asked, "Where did everyone go?"

"They set sail to go on an adventure, but they said they'll be back," Makino said. This caused Naruto to get a little angry. He started to stomp on the table in anger causing Luffy to wake up and yell, "Why did leave without me?!" Luffy looked up at Naruto in confusion, and looked around the room, and also asked, "Hey, where did everyone go."

Makino decided to answer Naruto's question first to try and calm him down. "They couldn't take you because they said it would be too dangerous for you. But they will come back to Naruto. You might be able to be with them next time?" This caused Naruto to get angrier, "Are they trying to say I'm weak?!" Luffy put his hand on Naruto's shoulder and said, "If they are trying to say you are weak then you'll just have to train. And kick their ass the next time you see them."

Naruto smirked at this and said, "You're right Luffy since they said they'll be coming back I'll just have to train until they do." Luffy chuckled and asked, "So you wanna join them too?" Naruto stops and thinks about what is saying.

"No, I don't want to join his crew, in fact I don't want to be a pirate in general. I just think it unfair they left without letting me know first. Shanks was the only person I knew for the first four years of my life." Naruto said, getting off the table. Luffy simply shrugged at his answer saying, "Let's just go train!" Luffy yelled in excitement, before jumping off the table and running out with Naruto following behind.

Luffy leads Naruto into a plain field with a single tree in the middle of it. Naruto had been able to get a wooden sword from one of the villagers who said they didn't need it. "This is where I train when my grandpa isn't here to train me!" Luffy yelled with a big smile on his face, 'Grandpa that his first time mentioning him, is his grandpa a pirate?' Naruto thought to himself. "So what do you do for training?" Naruto asked.

"I punch the tree," Luffy said pointing at the tree. Naruto nodded at this and started to walk towards the tree. When he got close enough to the tree he could see little on the tree the size of Luffy's fist. "Wow, you must train really hard," Naruto says, touching the dents Luffy left on it.

"It's no big deal," Luffy said with a huge grin on his face. Naruto then began to start his training seeing this Luffy took as his cue to start his training as well for the next two months Luffy and Naruto would train together becoming stronger since the first time they met.

As Naruto and Luffy were training together Makino lead the red-haired pirates and their new crew-member to Luffy and Naruto. When they go their Naruto was surprised to see at least twenty new members. At the moment he saw Shanks he instinctively ran towards him giving him a hug, this made him let out a chuckle, "Did you miss that much?" He asked. Causing Naruto to back away from him with a slight blush on his face saying, "I didn't miss you at all, my body just moved on its own."

This made everyone laugh, "I'm guessing that's Naruto?" One of the new crew members said walking up to Shanks. "Yeah, What's it to you?" Naruto said, giving the guy an annoyed look.

"Shanks, Naruto, and I were training so we could go on your next adventure!" Luffy yelled as he ran toward the group with excitement. "Is that so?" Shanks said, looking at Naruto with curiosity.

"Can you test how strong you've gotten Naruto?" Shanks asked to draw his sword. Naruto simply grinned at this saying, "Of course but don't go crying when I kick your ass. But how are we gonna fight? I only have one wooden sword and you only have a real sword?"

"Don't worry Naruto the mayor allowed us to bring our weapons onto the island this time because we didn't do anything the first time we came," Shanks said, handing Naruto his sword. "But this is a spar so will have to use wooden swords," Shanks added as he grabbed a wooden sword from one of his crewmates.

"I'll also fight you too!" Luffy said with smiling. "Alright I don't mind having a two v one," Shanks said smirking. Naruto simply nodded at this notion. The three of them went towards the middle of the plain field and right next to the tree.

"Ready…. Began!"

Luffy quickly rushed at Shanks, jumping up in the air and throwing a right hook. Shanks simply dodges this attack as if it was nothing. He then counters Luffy by kneeing him in the stomach. Luffy gets hit by this attack knocking the wind out of him. Naruto then swings his wooden sword down towards Shanks head as he jumps over Shanks body. Shanks easily blocked this attack by putting his wooden in front of where Naruto was aiming. As Shanks was doing his attack Naruto quickly jumped back. While that was happening Luffy had grabbed a stick and charged Shanks with it.

Luffy swung the stick towards Shank's leg causing Shanks to jump up into the air. Both Naruto and Luffy took this chance and jumped at Shanks, surprising him. Shanks dodged both of their attacks mid-air causing Naruto and Luffy to hit each other and fall down. Naruto quickly got up running at Shanks saying, "Spinning Whirl Attack!" Naruto jumped at Shanks spinning around with his wooden sword as if he is a drill. Shanks then block the attack but unlike last time this attack has some kick in it, 'It seems like you were training hard, but it's about time I end this.' Shanks thought to himself. Once Naruto was done spinning Shanks quickly kicked Naruto in the gut sending him flying towards the tree.

"Pistol Fist!" Luffy yelled, attacking Shanks with a jab. Shanks simply moved out the way of the attack and while Luffy was jumping by he would Elbow him on the neck causing Luffy to fall straight to the ground. "Shanks wins," they announced ending the spar. "You won't win next time!" Both Luffy and Naruto yelled at the same time.

"Yall should be more worried about eating. Come on, let's go to Makino's bar." Shank said, smiling at the two. Both Naruto and Luffy smiled in agreement before running off towards the bar.

For the next eight months, Naruto and Luffy would train sparring with Shanks from time to time. Naruto at the age of eight seemed to be slightly more mature while Luffy stayed the same. Luffy was now seven and was standing on the figurehead of the "Red-Haired Pirates" ship. This caught everyone's attention and someone asked, "Oi, Luffy what are you doing up there?"

"I'm not joking this time!! I've had enough!! I'll for you all to see!" Luffy yelled at everyone. Shanks simply laughed saying, "Go for it! Let's see what your gonna do!" Luffy then stabbed himself under the eyer causing everyone on the ship to panic.

"Idiot! What the hell are you doing?!" Shanks yelled running towards Luffy. Meanwhile, Naruto was helping Makino get ready to open up her bar. While they were getting things ready Naruto couldn't help but notice a certain fruit looking different from others. He simply asked, "Makino, why does this Kiwi look different from the other?" Makino simply shrugged saying, "I don't know if it just came in today's inventory." She said as confused as Naruto.

"Maybe it's a special Kiwi," Naruto said, taking a bite of it. When Naruto took a bite of the Kiwi it tasted like the most disgusting thing he ate. "This Kiwi is disgusting!" He yelled in anger throwing in the trash. Makino laughed, turning around to see Naruto. But instead of seeing Naruto, she had seen a white tiger standing where Naruto should be. Naruto had quickly noticed how Makino was looking at him and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Is that you Naruto?" She asked. Naruto simply nodded at this looking at her in confusion. "Then why are you a white tiger?" She asked, grabbing a mirror and showing it to him. At that moment Shanks and Luffy walked through the door with the crew, surprised to see a white tiger.

"Is that your new pet Makino?" Shanks said walking up to pet the white tiger. "Do I look like a pet!?" Naruto yelled, biting at Shanks.

"Is that you Naruto!?" He yelled in surprise. Naruto simply nodded, "When did you eat devil fruit?" Shanks asked, looking at Naruto.

"Right now it seems," Naruto said, turning back to a human. "I'm sorry to tell you this Naruto but once you eat a devil fruit you'll never be able to swim," Shanks said looking at Naruto. Naruto reacted a bit differently from Shanks expected. He seemed to not care about the fact he'll never be able to swim again and more about the fact that he has new powers. Noticing this, Shanks decides to tell Naruto a little about his devil fruit.

"You have eaten the Neko Neko no mi Model:Byakko. This is a mythical zoan type of devil fruit that allows the user to transform into a white tiger that can manipulate wind." Shanks said, smiling at Naruto. "How do you know so much about it?" Naruto asked curiously.

"It was a devil fruit in a book I read. And I was able to easily recognize it when I realised you were the white tiger." Shanks said, answering the question. While this was going Luffy was eating his food not paying attention to anything that was said. "You should probably go somewhere far away from people so you don't accidentally hurt someone," Shanks added, hoping Naruto would comply. Naruto nodded at this and ran outside toward the plain field.

The next week was a big week because that was the week Shanks left. Naruto was surprised at this sudden revelation. When he had made it to the docks he was surprised to see Shanks giving Luffy his hat. He was confused because he had been gone for the past week trying to figure out how to work his ability although he is still confused he has gotten the gist of it. Both Naruto and Luffy would say goodbye to Shanks that day, but the most surprising thing to find out was that Luffy had also eaten devil fruit.
