It's been two days since Naruto started working at 'Vestibule Weapons Shop.' After getting the job at Vestibule Naruto began using his free time to train with a real sword. Unlike his first day, Naruto noticed that the shop didn't get that many customers making the store revenue about 600,000-1,000,000 Berries a day. Naruto has 2,348,000 Berries out of 5,000,000, he is currently thinking of a way to get more people to come buy stuff at the shop because tomorrow Yugo will be done with his ship.
As Naruto sat behind the counter thinking of ways to get more customers Yugo came inside the shop surprised to see Naruto. "Yo, so this is where you work?" Yugo said, smirking at Naruto. "Yeah but it's not making enough for the Ship." Naruto said, leaning back on his chair.
"Yeah but you're gonna need a really strong ship if you plan on going to the Grand Line." Yugo said, confidently. "And you'll need a shipwright worthy enough to take care of that ship." Yugo said hinting at the fact he wants Naruto to ask him to come along.
"Yeah I guess it will." Naruto said not getting the hint. "So, why do you wanna go to the Grand Line? Are you starting a pirate crew?" Yugo asked with excitement.
"Nope, I just want to explore the seas and if I get labeled a pirate along the way then so be it." Naruto said now looking at Yugo. "Oh, that's cool too I guess." Yugo said a little disappointedly.
"So what can I do for you?" Naruto wanted to know why he is here. "Oh Ms.Sherry is going to turn my staff into a spear today ." Yugo said, taking out his Iron staff.
"Hey Yugo, do you want to join me?" Naruto asked, remembering how strong Yugo is. "YES!... I mean yes. I've always wanted to sail out to sea." Yugo said smiling.
"Why didn't you?" Naruto asked, laughing at how fast Yugo was to answer. "Well, I guess the opportunity never came. And plus I planned asking if I could join the first time we met but I forgot because of those bandits." Yugo said embarrassedly
"Really?! So does this mean the ship is free?" Naruto said excitedly. "No but I'll have you give 1,000,000 berries for it. My uncle needs that money to keep his business going." Yugo said with a light chuckle.
"Okay that's good with me. This is off topic but how does your staff grow?" Naruto asked curiously. "Because when I found the staff on the beach eight years ago I rebuilt it so it could regrow and shrink on command." Yugo said, giving Naruto a confident smirk.
"You must be very smart." Naruto said letting Yugo go inside the black smiths room to talk to Sherry with Naruto following behind.
When inside Naruto noticed that Sherry is done working on the sword she's been working on since he started working here. The sword is a moderately curved katana, a blue square shaped tsuba. It has an orange color scheme to complement the blue tsuba. It's Kashira and kojiri are both blue with it's sheathe being dark solid orange with a little blue fox drawn on it. Sherry notices Naruto staring at the sword so she says, "I plan on naming the sword after my late husband, Kurama. He was a strong swordsman in his prime, he was known as Marine Admiral Kitsunebi. He was called the Kitsunebi because of the amount of knowledge he had and because he had one of the strongest devil fruits at the time known as the Flame Flame Fruit but it seems this kid Portgas D Ace has it now."
"He sounds very strong. How did he die?" Naruto asked curiosed. "The official paper says he died in the God Valley incident. But the fact of him being there is impossible. I was in a call with him two hours before they announced his death. So I believe he was killed because he found out about something he wasn't supposed to know. He was always a curious guy trying to figure things out like the void century." Sherry said sadly walking away from the sword.
"Sorry for your loss." Naruto said getting the hint she doesn't want to talk about him anymore. "So what can I help you with?" She asked looking up at Yugo.
"Uhm, I made an appointment with you to have my staff turned into a spear." Yugo said nervously because of the conversation that just transpired. "Oh okay come back in six hours you should go to Naruto. I want to be alone for a while." She said pushing them out of her store.
"That was a pretty serious conversation." Naruto said, scratching his neck nervously. "Yeah so what do you want to do?" Yugo asked, walking away from the shop.
"Let go eat!" Naruto said excitedly. "Oh okay I know this place that makes the best takoyaki in the East Blue!" Yugo said, grabbing Naruto's hand and began to run towards the place.
Once at the takoyaki stand Naruto and Yugo order six servings of takoyaki. Naruto took a deep breath as he leaned back on a railing and began to look at the sky. "I can't wait to go back to sea." Naruto said smiling. "Is it really that fun to be on a boat alone?" Yugo asked.
"No, the ocean is just peaceful." Naruto said, closing his eyes and leaning back more. Splash!! "HELP!!" Naruto yelled, drowning. Yugo simply laughed it off not taking it seriously but after sometime Naruto stopped coming up and began to sink. "Can he really not swim!?!?" Yugo yelled, taking off his clothes and jumping into the ocean.
Yugo quickly brought Naruto back and began doing C.P.R. Naruto quickly got up and threw up water. "How can you not swim at your age?" Yugo asked. "I ate one of those devil fruit things Sherry was talking about. It takes away your ability to swim." Naruto said as he began to blow wind towards his clothes quickly drying them.
"You can control the wind?!" Yugo asked surprised. "Well kind of." Naruto said creating a windball on his hand.
"I call this 'Wind Ball'." At that moment the ball of wind quickly expanded into the size of a giant boulder. It began to pull things towards them kinda making it a round tornado. Naruto quickly stopped releasing things that were being pulled towards them. "Our takoyaki should be done by now." Naruto said walking back to the stand.
"So, Yugo, how much more stuff do you need to do until the ship is ready?" Naruto asked while taking a bite of takoyaki, 'hmmm this is good!' Naruto thought smiling. "I just need to finish a little more stuff tonight." Yugo said, looking at Naruto.
"Good and make sure to pack your stuff tonight. We leave right when I wake up." Naruto said confidently. "Well we actually leave when you pay for the ship." Yugo said while eating another takoyaki.
BOOM! BOOM! Both gun shots came from different spots of the island. One came from the mountains near the Vestiblue another came at river port both Yugo and Naruto look at each other before splitting up. Naruto went towards the mountain and Yugo went towards the river ports.
When Naruto reaches where the Vestiblue is located he is surprised to see how messed up the surrounding area is. He quickly went inside the store, surprised to see it empty. Naruto quickly ran to the black smiths room to see a beat up Sherry on the ground. "Granny!" Narutp yelled running towards her. "Who did this to you!?" Naruto asked in anger.
"Those guys from two days ago came back with their boss. It seems they were a part of the Jug family and they still wanted to get their money." Sherry said, coughing out blood.
"But I was able to protect my treasure." Sherry said tearfully. Naruto simply looked to his left, seeing Shaka and Kurama. "Shaka is your treasure?" Naruto asked, confused.
"No you idiot I'm talking about Kuruma!" Sherry yelled, hitting Naruto upside the head. "Granny, I'm sorry for causing you this trouble but trust me I'll get back everything they took from you!" Naruto declared, rubbing his head.
"Do you know which way they went?" Naruto asked as Yugo came running in the room with anger in his eyes. "Those bastards finally crossed the line! I'm gonna show them what happens when you mess with my family!" Yugo yelled, grabbing Shaka.
"So they went after your uncle's place too. I'm gonna go kick their ass too but I have to make sure Sherry gets to a hospital before I go there." Naruto said, lifting Sherry. "I'm fine you don't have to worry about me." Sherry said, pushing herself off of Naruto.
"Are you sure you're okay? Because I don't think I'll be able to fight well knowing your hurt." Naruto said with concern in his voice. "Of course Im fine Im not some fucking baby!" Sherry yelled as she fell to the ground.
"I just need a smoke." Sherry said, getting up and lighting a cigarette. "I didn't know you smoked Sherry?" Naruto surprised.
"Well there's a lot of things you don't know about me. And what you are still doing here isn't going to get my shit back from the Jug Family!"
Somewhere on the east side of the mountain, "Now they know what it means to mess with the Jug Family. Right, Boss?" A seven foot man with dark brown hair and blue eyes said taking a drink of ale. This is 'Nathan Jon' right hand man of 'Sir' Jug. Jon is known for being much more cruel compared to Jug. Jon is a muscularly built man who only depends on his muscles.
Jon is wearing a long blue coat over a black shirt, black pants, and a silver necklace. "HAHAHAH, you got that right Jon! They'll never mess with us again!" The bandits yelled in support of Jon.
"So boys, what island do you think we should go to next?!" Jug asked not wanting to stay here any longer. "I say we go to the Grand Line and show them what we're made of!" A drunk bandit yelled pointing his cutlass at the sky.
Jug is a tall burly man, he has a nice long black beard that reaches his knees. Jug has medium length black hair that has white streaks in it. He wears an open up white kimono with a few gold dots on it. He wears white pants with a gold stash to hold it up. 'Sir' Jug is known for his deadly 'Two Sword Style' and being one of the strongest swordsmen in the East Blue.
"Let's go to Conomi Island and take over Arlongs land. I hear that he has the people of that island paying rent" Jon said excited at the thought of fighting fishmen. "HEHAHA, that does sound like a good idea!" Jug said laughing at thought.
"Let's continue the party boys!! WE SET SAIL TOMORROW!" Jug yelled in excitement.
"CONOMI ISLAND WE GO!" Jon yelled, jumping up with excitement. The bandits continued celebrating what they did today.
At the Vestiblue Naruto and Yugo were currently waiting for Sherry to finish working on Yugo's spear before they left. "Can't she go any faster!" Yugo said, getting impatient. "Hey she's old and injured, she can take as long as she wants!" Naruto yelled at Yugo.
"I'm sorry I just can't stop thinking about what they did to my uncle." Yugo said, taking a seat. "I can't be lashing out like that.
"What happened to your uncle's place?" Naruto asked curiously. "They destroyed the building and took some of our ships. they beat him to the point where he can't even see with his left eye. And it's all my fault! I should have never beat them up!" Yugo yelled, punching the wall tearfully. "If I had never done that they wouldn't have destroyed his shop and beat him up that much. If only I was there to help. Then he wouldn't have a blind eye." Yugo said booking at the ceiling.
"It's not your fault you just wanted to protect your uncle's ships." Naruto tried to reason with Yugo. "Yeah but I bet he would rather have a few stolen ships than one blind eye." Yugo said looking at the ground disappointedly.
You'll just have to make it up to him by getting him a new eye so he can get transplanted into him. And then you won't have to worry about his eyes. We can also give him some of the money we find with the Jug Family, they probably have a lot of Berries." Naruto said, patting Yugo on the back.
"Yeah, I guess we better kick their ass." Yugo said, letting out a light chuckle. "Yeah but the Jug guy is one hundred percent mine." Naruto said, giving Jug a confident smile.
"Okay I guess that means I'm fighting Nathan Jon. I'll make sure to kick his ass for you, but you better make sure to kick Jug's ass for me" Yugo said, lifting his fist for Naruto bump. "That's a deal." Naruto said smiling at Yugo before bumping his fist.
"Are you two done now?" Sherry asked, looking at the two. "Uh, yeah are you done turning Shaka into a spear?!" Yugo asked excitedly.
"Of course I am, why else would I be here?" Sherry said, a little annoyed. Yugo quickly ran to the blacksmith's room, surprised to see Shaka's new design. Shaka is now a seven feet long spear with royal blue color. The head of the spear seemed to be made of something that isn't iron, in fact it might be even stronger than Iron. "She's beautiful!" Yugo said, hugging Sherry.
"Alright Yugo now that Shaka is done let's go!" Naruto said with a hint of excitement.
"You can't go yet, you're forgetting one more thing." Sherry said, walking away to grab something. "What could you have possibly forgotten!?" Yugo said in annoyance.
"I don't know, I don't remember me leaving anything here!" Naruto said, defending himself. "Well you obviously did if she said you did." Yugo said pointing at Naruto.
"I don't think she's going crazy because of her old age. Naruto said, trying to make sense of the situation. "Oh, so now you're saying she's crazy because you forgot something and you're blaming it on her old age. You should be ashamed of yourself." Yugo said looking away fromNaruto.
"Alright here it is." Sherry said, bringing Kurama out in its orange scabbard. "I want you to have it." Sherry said, handing it to Naruto.
"Really? Are you sure you want to give it to me? Don't you want to keep it safe?" Naruto asked in a confused but excited voice. "Of course I am giving to you and 'Swords aren't made for safekeeping. They are made to be used in battle' Is what my husband would say to me and you seem like a decent swordsman." She said, smirking at Naruto.
"Trust me Granny you won't regret this because by the time I die this sword will be worth billions!" Naruto declared to her before he began to walk towards the door. "It better be!" She yelled at Naruto as he walked away.
