A new mission has been added and it dives deep into the creation of Task Force 141, Operation Kingfish, and the untold story about Ramirez.
Almost three years ago, October 8, 2013, Fort Riley, Kansas, U.S.A., Shepherd has brought his recently formed Task Force 141 into a CQB (Close Quarters Battle) test, which takes the form of the compound of their target, known only as Kingfish.
The first batch of 141 operators are from the British S.A.S. (Special Air Service), the 1st SFOD-D (1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta), also known as Delta Force, and the 1st Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment.
The S.A.S. operators are from Bravo Team: Captain John Price, Lieutenant John 'Soap' MacTavish, Second Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley, and Sergeant Gary 'Roach' Sanderson.
The Delta operators are from Metal Team: First Sergeant Sandman (MSG. Sandman in the Original), Master Sergeants Truck and Grinch (SFC. Truck and SFC. Grinch in the Original), and Sergeant First Class Frost (SGT. Frost in the Original).
And the Rangers are from Hunter Team 2: Foley, Dunn, Allen and Ramirez.
The CQB test has to be completed in less than 60 seconds. These are the results so far:
Price: 31.6, 15 Kills, 15 Headshots
Soap: 32.4, 15 Kills, 15 Headshots
Ghost: 32.9, 15 Kills, 15 Headshots
Frost: 33.0, 15 Kills, 14 Headshots
Sandman: 33.3, 15 Kills, 14 Headshots
Roach: 33.8, 15 Kills, 13 Headshots
Truck: 34.0, 15 Kills, 13 Headshots
Foley: 34.2, 15 Kills, 13 Headshots
Dunn: 34.5, 15 Kills, 12 Headshots
Allen: 34.7, 15 Kills, 12 Headshots
Grinch: 34.8, 15 Kills, 12 Headshots
With the results, the British operators feel mighty proud of themsleves. And think that no one can surpass them. Until now, which is Ramirez's turn.
Armed with his trusty DDM4A1 and Beretta M9A3, Ramirez clears the mock-up compound. What surprised everyone is that he knew where to go and where the enemies are. He waltzed right in every room and corner like he owned the joint, and never missed a single target and headshot. Once he finished the course, the results are as follows:
Ramirez: 29.6, 15 Kills, 15 Headshots
The Rangers and Deltas cheered in victory. And Ramirez cheered along with them. Looking back, he sees Price giving him a nod of respect. Shepherd and Roach claps for him. Ghost did nothing, and Soap gave him a nod of disapproval and a rude gesture for some reason. But Ramirez payed no attention to the lieutenant.
It was time to exercise, while the others head for the gym, Ramirez decided to run a few laps in his tactical gear and rifle. Foley sees what he's doing and catches up with him. And the two started chatting:
Foley: Seems like someone made you a rival.
Ramirez: Yeah, I don't think Lieutenant MacTavish is happy with me beating him and his friends.
Foley: Well, they're part of the proclaimed best spec ops unit in the world. Its operators tend to have the biggest egos with that kind of fame and notoriety.
Ramirez: So much for quiet professionals. I bet even after this, we'll still be stuck making a cordon around that compound.
Foley: Wouldn't be surprised. How did you finish the course so fast anyway?
Ramirez: While you guys were out bar hopping last night, I was training in there, even before Shepherd introduced it.
Foley: Nice!
Ramirez: I guess my performance proved that I had more practice than that world-proclaimed-mohawk-wearing clown.
Foley: *chuckles* Best to keep your voice down, Staff Sergeant. No need to make enemies here.
Ramirez: Roger, Master Sergeant. Race you to the gym?
Foley: You're on, after two more laps. And hey, come with us to this nice bar and relax tonight. You don't have anything to prove. Or do I have to call her just to make you relax.
Ramirez: Ha ha ha, alright, I'll relax and go with you guys. And I'll do the calling.
Both Foley and Ramirez laugh at themselves*
